Route 6, Team Skull, and Hapu
After returning to Akala Island, the Eds, Sarah, and Jimmy went to the Heahea City Pokemon Center to change into their regular attire. After that, they went to the cafeteria for lunch. After they finished eating, they left the Pokemon Center.
"So, where's the next trial located, Double-D?" asked Eddy. Edd takes out the Rotom Pokedex and turns on the map app.
"Well, if we travel north from here, we should reach Route 6." said Edd. "Then we travel east from there where we'll reach an area called Royal Avenue, then we'll travel north from there where we'll reach Route 7. Through there, we'll travel west to a place called Wela Volcano Park, where the next trial is located."
"Volcano?" said Jimmy, nervously.
"We'll make sure nothing happens to you there, Jimmy." said Edd.
"Come on, let's get going." said Eddy. The group then travelled north of Heahea City. Once they left, they arrived at Route 6. Ed took the time to train his new Seel and she learned Rest.
Edd focused on his Eevee and Lillipup for a while. His Eevee soon learned Bite, and Swift, while his Lillipup learned Take Down.
Eddy mainly focused on training up his new Poliwag. Over time, he learned Double Slap, and Rain Dance.
Sarah trained up her new Amolomola. She learned Heal Pulse and Protect.
Jimmy trained his Wishiwashi also. After a while, he learned Aqua Ring.
Something else happened while Edd was training his Eevee and Lillipup. They both started to evolve.
"Fellows! My Eevee and Lillipup are evolving!" said Edd.
"Cool!" said Ed. Everyone gathers around Edd's Pokemon as they started to change before their eyes. When they were done, Edd's Eevee was a light shade of purple, her body was longer and sleeker, her ears were longer, she had two long tufts of fur coming out of her cheeks, and her tail was smooth and long, also splitting into two points at the end of it.
"She looks so pretty!" said Sarah. Their Rotom Pokedex flies out of Edd's backpack and up to Edd's newly evolved Pokemon.
"Espeon, the Sun Pokemon, and the evolved form of Eevee. Psychic power builds up in the orb on its forehead as it bathes in the sunshine. Espeon is not good at battling at night." said the Rotom Pokedex.
"And it appears that my new Espeon just learned Confusion and has acquired the Synchronize ability. That makes it if her opponent inflicts her with the poisoned, paralyzed, or burned status conditions, then her opponent will be afflicted with it too." said Edd.
"What about Lillipup?" asked Jimmy. They look to see that Lillipup was now bigger, she had bushy eyebrows that splits into three directions, she had bushy whiskers, and on her back was a layer of blackish blue fur. The Rotom Pokedex flies over to him and analyzes her.
"Herdier, the Loyal Dog Pokemon, and the evolved form of Lillipup. It has been living with people for so long that portrayals of it can be found on the walls of caves from long, long ago." said the Rotom Pokedex.
"Intriguing." said Edd. "And it seems Herdier has the Intimidate ability now."
"Sweet!" said Eddy. After that, they all return their Pokemon to their pokeballs and continue on their journey. When they reach a point in the road that splits into two paths, they see a young girl with tan skin, long, black hair tied into two braids, wearing a one-piece, light brown outfit: along with a purple bonnet on her head. By her side was a large, brown, horselike Pokemon, with a mostly, dark grayish black head that had multiple, orange-tipped braids hanging down from it, along with mostly orange legs. Edd has the Rotom Pokedex come out and analyze it.
"Mudsdale, the Draft Horse Pokemon, and the evolved form of Mudbray. It can trudge mountain roads without rest for three days and three nights, all the while dragging a 10-ton load." said the Rotom Pokedex.
"It sounds so powerful." said Edd.
"Guys. Look who else is here." said Eddy. Everyone looks to see two Team Skull members in front of the girl. The girl turns at the sound of the group approaching.
"Could you trainers help me?" asked the girl.
"These guys giving you trouble?" asked Eddy.
"Yes." said the girl.
"Yo, yo, yo! Don't go turning your backside on us!" said one of the Team Skull members.
"And aren't you five the ones giving us problems?" the other Team Skull member asked the group.
"These scoundrels are Pokemon thieves. And you're on familiar terms with them?" asked the girl.
"Unfortunately." said Edd.
"I am Hapu!" said the girl now known as Hapu. "Life in the big city sure is something else. Pokemon thieves roam around brazenly..."
"I don't like bad people." said Jimmy. Hapu looks at Jimmy and blushes at the sight of him. She then shakes herself back to her senses.
"Could you assist me in taking down these scoundrels?" Hapu asked Jimmy.
"We're not thieves, yo!" said a Team Skull member. "It's a legitimate business!"
"There's nothing good about stealing other trainers' Pokemon." said Jimmy.
"We got straight messed up in Melemele...got exiled to Akala...but we ain't going out like that!" said a Team Skull member as he takes out a pokeball and throws it, releasing a Drowzee.
"Get him, Jimmy!" said Sarah. Jimmy nods and throws a pokeball, releasing his Butterfree.
"Excellent choice, Jimmy." said Edd. "Bug type Pokemon have an offense advantage against psychic type Pokemon such as Drowzee. Jimmy nods and stares down the Drowzee.
"Butterfree, use Siliver Wind!" said Jimmy. Butterfree flaps his wings, releasing a gust of wind that had silvery powder mixed into it. The attack hits the Drowzee, doing super effective damage. A surge of power rises up from Butterfree.
"It seems that Silver Wind's secondary effect activated." said Edd.
"What's that?" asked Jimmy.
"All of Butterfree's stats have increased." said Edd.
"Goody!" said Jimmy. The Drowzee struggles to stay standing.
"Drowzee, use Headbutt!" said the Team Skull member. Drowzee charges in and jumps at Butterfree, headfirst.
"Counter it with Tackle!" said Jimmy. Butterfree flies at the Drowzee and rams into its head, knocking it to the ground, unconscious.
"No way!" said the Team Skull member. Hapu looks at Jimmy with a blush, and adoration in her eyes.
"Man, you got straight up beaten by a little kid!" said the other Team Skull member. The Team Skull member that Jimmy beat growls in response as he returns his Drowzee to its pokeball.
"Our boss is not gonna like this!" said the Team Skull member.
"Awww. Is the Team Skull baby gonna cry?" asked Sarah mockingly. The Team Skull member glares at Sarah.
"Mudsdale, should we stomp these scoundrels?" asked Hapu. "It'll be a mess to clean up afterward, but I am willing if you are." The Team Skull members looked nervous upon hearing what Hapu wanted to do.
"Time for us to break out, yo!" said a Team Skull member as he tosses pokedollars to Jimmy.
"Yeah, let's book it!" said the other Team Skull member as he and the other one run away. The girl turns towards the group.
"Thank you for the assistance." said Hapu. "What are your names?"
"I am Ed." said Ed.
"I am Edd also, but with two Ds; so, you can just call me Double-D." said Edd.
"I'm Eddy." said Eddy.
"I'm Sarah." said Sarah.
"And I'm Jimmy." said Jimmy. Hapu looks at the Eds with astonishment.
"You're THE Eds?! From the Lily of the Valley Conference Tournament in Sinnoh?!" asked Hapu.
"That's us." said Eddy with a smirk.
"Anyway, I like how Jimmy here handled himself in battle." said Hapu with a blush as she looks at Jimmy.
"Thank you." said Jimmy.
"Mudsdale and I are always roaming around Alola to try to achieve our goals, so perhaps we'll meet again someday." said Hapu. "And I really hope to see you again, Jimmy." Edd notices Hapu's behavior and chuckles.
"So, what now?" asked Ed.
"Maybe you can all try some Battle Royal battles in Royal Avenue?" suggested Hapu.
"What are those?" asked Eddy.
"You can learn about them when you get there." said Hapu. She hops onto her Mudsdale and starts riding down the road, looking back at Jimmy with a smile as she does.
"Well, let's get going." said Eddy. As they walked towards Royal Avenue, Ed had a question for Edd.
"What were you laughing at before, Double-D?" asked Ed.
"I do believe that Ms. Hapu is smitten with Jimmy." said Edd, surprising everyone.
"R-Really?!" asked Jimmy with a blush.
"It would appear so." said Edd. Sarah frowns at his information. The group then heads off to continue their adventure.
