A collection of FAKE drabbles to go with my Torchwood drabble collection. They'll probably be mainly Dee/Ryo and I've rated the collection T to cover anything I might write. If you've read any of my Torchwood drabbles, you'll know I live for variety and anything goes, though my writing is primarily on the fluffy side.

Title: On The Rocks

Written For: Challenge 350: Amnesty 35 at drabble_weekly, using Challenge 5: Pebbles.

Spoilers/Setting: After the manga.

Summary: Dee can't understand why Ryo's dragged him to a rock and pebble strewn stretch of beach.

"Not much of a beach, is it?" Dee grumbled. "Where's the sand? It's all rocks and pebbles."

Ryo just laughed. "What d'you need sand for? Were you planning on building sandcastles?"

"Nah, I didn't bring my bucket and spade."

"Good, because you wouldn't have much luck here." Ryo was still grinning at his lover. "And it's too cold and windy today for sunbathing or swimming."

"So what're we even doin' at the beach then? We could'a stayed in town, found a museum or somethin', or even gone hikin'. There's loads of things you wanted to do we don't need hot, sunny weather for."

"I know, and this is the perfect time and place for one of them."

"Huh?" Dee frowned in confusion. "Y'know I love ya, but I sometimes wonder if we're speakin' the same language, 'cause I'm not followin' you at all."

"Poor Dee." Ryo's smirk didn't look particularly sympathetic. "I always wanted to try fossil hunting, so I did some research online. The rocks along this stretch of coastline are supposed to be full of fossils; even an amateur like me stands a fair chance of finding something."

"Fossils, huh? Guess we'd better start turnin' over some rocks."
