A collection of FAKE drabbles to go with my Torchwood drabble collection. They'll probably be mainly Dee/Ryo and I've rated the collection T to cover anything I might write. If you've read any of my Torchwood drabbles, you'll know I live for variety and anything goes, though my writing is primarily on the fluffy side.

1453. Night Shift

Summary: Ryo hates having to work night shift.

"The worst thing about working nights is that I can't tell whether it's late or early," Ryo grumbled. "It's just after six in the morning, which should be early, but it's near the end of our shift, we'll be going home in less than two hours, so from our point of view it's getting late. We go to bed in the middle of the afternoon then get up at night to go to work. It gets so I have no idea what day it is."

Dee squinted up at the sky, where the sun was rising, bringing colour back into the world. "Six in the mornin' is always gonna be early, no matter where you're lookin' at it from."

"Says you."

"Would ya rather haveta get up at this time every mornin'?"

"Yes! At least that would feel more natural than getting up as the sun's setting and going to work when it's already dark."

"Look on the bright side; least we're not on permanent night shift, just a couple times a month."

"I suppose. But by the time I get home, Bikky's already left for school. He hardly sees me."

"Bet you're still around more than his dad was."
