Episode 4: Pokémon and Magic

Where we last left off, Sora and Kairi had their second encounter with Team Rocket, and afterwards, Caterpie and Weedle evolved into a Metapod and Kakuna. They continued on towards Pewter City. Just when they got deeper, they came across a young male Trainer. He wore a straw hat and carried a net.

"Are you Pokémon Trainers, aren't you?" The boy asked.

"Yeah. What can I do for you?" Sora asked.

"I'm a Pokémon Trainer, and I have come to challenge you in a battle!" The boy said, taking out a Pokéball and held it firmly. "And I choose you to battle!"

"Okay. How do you wanna go?" Sora asked.

"Make it two-on-two!" The boy said.

"Okay," Sora said. The boy took out a Pokéball and threw it.

"Caterpie! Go!" The boy said. He threw it and his Caterpie came on out. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.

"Go! Kakuna!" Sora called out. Kakuna emerged from inside.

"Caterpie! Use Tackle!" The boy ordered. Caterpie ran towards the yellow cocoon Pokémon.

"Use Harden!" Sora ordered. Kakuna hardens his body and Caterpie's Tackle bounced off. "Use Poison Sting!" Kakuna fired Poison Sting, poisoning Caterpie.

"Caterpie! Use String Shot!" The boy ordered. Caterpie fired String Shot, wrapping Kakuna up. "Use Tackle!" Caterpie charges at Kakuna.

"Dodge by using String Shot!" Sora ordered. Kakuna shot a stream of string up to a branch and hung there. "Poison Sting!" Kakuna fired Poison Sting and struck Caterpie on the mark. Caterpie had been taken down due to the poisoning it received. The boy called Caterpie back.

"Okay, not bad. But try this on for size! Go! Metapod!" The boy called out. His Pokéball opened and a Metapod emerged from inside. Sora called back Kakuna and pulled out another Pokéball and threw it.

"Try this! Go! Metapod!" Sora called out. Sora's Metapod emerged from inside.

"You had your own Metapod, cool! But my Metapod is stronger! Metapod! Use Harden!" The boy ordered. The boy's Metapod hardens its body, raising its defenses.

"Metapod! Use Tackle!" Sora ordered. Sora's Metapod charged at the opposing Metapod.

"Harden again!" The boy ordered.

"Use Tackle!" Sora ordered. Sora's Metapod charged at the boy's Metapod as it raises its defenses. The battle between the two Metapod until they both fell out of exhaustion. The battle ends in a draw. "Let's call it a draw."

"Yeah, but my Metapod's better!" The boy said, calling back his Metapod. Sora sighed.

"Sorry, Metapod. You still did great," Sora said. Sora called back his Metapod. Rustling is heard as Sora turned around. Out came a plant-like Pokémon resembling a pitcher plant. The body is a thin brown root and stem system with secondary roots making up Bellsprout's legs. It has two leaves on each side of its body. Its head is yellow and shaped like a bulb while the tip of its mouth is colored pink, resembling lips. "A Bellsprout!" Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned it.

Bellsprout, the Flower Pokémon

Type: Grass/Poison

A Bellsprout's thin and flexible body lets it bend and sway to avoid any attack, however strong it may be. From its mouth, it leaks a fluid that melts even iron.

"A Grass-type Pokémon is just I need," Sora said. He took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Pidgey!" The Pokéball opened and Pidgey emerged and readied himself to take on Bellsprout. "Use Gust!" Pidgey flapped his wings and whipped up Gust. Bellsprout fought back by using two green vines come out from in between Bellsprout's leaves and body and strike Pidgey multiple times.

"That's Vine Whip!" Kairi said.

"Eevee!" Angel said.

"Pidgey! Use Air Cutter!" Sora ordered. Pidgey sends out Air Cutter and struck Bellsprout. Bellsprout's body let off a light green energy, and it boosts Bellsprout's strength. "That was Growth!" Bellsprout has unleashed a much stronger Vine Whip and struck Pidgey hard. Bellsprout was about to finish off Pidgey, but Pidgey dodged and flew right behind the Flower Pokémon. "Air Cutter!" Pidgey unleashed Air Cutter and it struck Bellsprout hard. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it. Bellsprout flows inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Bellsprout with him. Wanting to test it out, he sends Spearow over in exchange.

"For whom the Bellsprout tolls!" Sora said, laughing. Kairi rolled her eyes, know how bad that joke was. Still, she was happy for him.

"A good catch, Sora," Kairi said. "You should be proud."

"I would say the same thing to you," Sora said.

Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel continued through the forest when they came across a girl wearing what looks like a white, buttoned shirt, and a black skirt. She eyes Kairi and Angel.

"Hey, you with the Eevee!" The girl called out. They stopped and looked at her. "You heading to Pewter City?"

"Yes, with him," Kairi said.

"I take it you're challenging the Gym Leader there. So am I! I'm going to challenge you first," the girl said.

"Um, I'm not battling the Gym Leader," Kairi said.

"Like I'm gonna buy that! Now, let's go! Two Pokémon each!" The girl said. She took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Nida!" The girl shouted. The Pokéball opened and it revealed a small, quadrupedal, rabbit-like Pokémon. It has large, spiny ears; oversized front teeth; red eyes; and a pair of whiskers on each cheek. It is light blue with several darker blue spots. There are two white claws on each of its paws. Its back is covered with small toxic spines, and it has a small forehead horn. Kairi took out her Pokédex and scanned it.

Nidoran Female, the Poison Pin Pokémon

Type: Poison

Its highly toxic barbs are thought to have developed as protection for this small-bodied Pokémon. When enraged, it releases a horrible toxin from its horn.

"She looks cute," Kairi said. She took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Okay, Raichu! Go!" Her Pokéball opened and her Raichu came out to battle.

"A Raichu, huh? Still going down! Nida! Use Double Kick!" The girl ordered. Nida rushed at Raichu and lands a couple of kicks on him.

"Raichu! Use Thunder Punch!" Kairi ordered. Raichu's fists becomes surrounded by electricity and lands a punch on Nida, dealing some heavy damage. This takes Nida down with one hit. The girl gasped and called back Nida.

"Okay, try this," the girl said, taking out another Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Nido!" The Pokéball opened and out came a a small, quadrupedal, rabbit-like Pokémon. It is pinkish purple with darker patches. It has large, spiny ears with teal insides, oversized front teeth, and red eyes. Its back is covered with three lines of large spines. The center line of spines is taller than the other two. The size of the long, pointed horn on its forehead. Kairi took out her Pokédex and scanned it.

Nidoran Male, the Poison Pin Pokémon

Type: Poison

Small but brave, this Pokémon will hold its ground and even risk its life in battle to protect the female it's friendly with.

"Oh, how sweet, and cute. Both your Nidoran are very cute," Kairi said.

"Thanks, but I'm going to win! Nido! Use Double Kick!" The girl ordered. Nido ran towards Raichu.

"Use Seismic Toss!" Kairi ordered. Raichu grabbed Nido and jumps like before. He swings his body before throwing Nido at the ground. The male Nidoran got right up.

"Good, you're not throwing in the towel! Use Horn Attack!" The girl ordered. Nido ran towards Raichu.

"Use Thunder Punch!" Kairi ordered. Raichu lands a Thunder Punch, resulting in a knockout. "Wow, I won! Hooray!"

"I lost, I don't believe it," the girl said. She walked up to Kairi. "Congratulations on winning. You will have to work hard to defeat the Gym Leader."

"I already told you, I'm not challenging the Gym Leader at all," Kairi said.

"Then, why are you heading to Pewter City?" The girl asked.

"She's with me. We're traveling together," Sora said.

"So, you're challenging the Gym Leader," the girl said.

"Yeah," Sora said.

"I thought I should inform you that the Pewter City Gym Leader specializes with Rock-type Pokémon. So, you're going to need some Water, Grass, Ground, Steel, or Fighting-type Pokémon to make a dent," the girl said.

"I have a Bellsprout," Sora said.

"Perfect. But I recommend you use a Pokémon that has one of those moves," the girl said. "For example, Pikachu can use Iron Tail."

"Iron Tail, huh," Sora said, stroking his chin. "Not a bad idea."

"Pikachu," Pikachu said.

"If you're gonna battle the Gym Leader and earn a Badge, then you will have to train for it. Gym Leaders are tougher than normal Trainers," the girl warned. Sora decided to give it a shot, teaching Pikachu how to use Iron Tail.

A little further down, they found a good spot to learn Iron Tail.

"Okay, Pikachu. Try using Iron Tail!" Sora ordered. Pikachu jumped and his tail becomes surrounded in white sparkles and it becomes surrounded in a white outline. His tail then turns into iron and then turned back to normal, and it hits the tree with it. Pikachu felt that and slides down.

"Pika," Pikachu said.

"Man, this is going to be much harder than I thought. Try again!" Sora said. Pikachu nodded and attempts to use another Iron Tail. Unknown to them, an elderly man is watching them. He wore a red buttoned shirt, and black pants. He wore a brown hat, and black shoes with white socks. He mostly watches Sora. He could tell wasn't ordinary.

"Could he be the one?" The man asked.

"One more time!" Sora called out. Pikachu kept on training and training. Pikachu was getting exhausted from the training.

"Okay, Pikachu, take a breather," Sora said. Pikachu laid on his back, still panting and sweating. "We'll try again once you're up and ready again."

"Pika," Pikachu panted.

The man walked up to Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel.

"Excuse me," the man said. Sora turned to the man. "Have you been practicing your magic?"

"Huh?" Sora asked. He then remembered his Keyblade. "Oh, right. Kairi's dad said I have magic along with my Keyblade. I never got the chance to practice with that."

"I see," the man said.

"Who are you?" Kairi asked.

"Right. My name is Teol. And I live here in the forest. Come with me to my house, and I can teach you to use the magic you have," Teol said.

Seeing Sora had to learn to use magic, he, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel followed the elderly man to his cabin. Entering inside is the kind of things you would see in a wizard's house.

"So, um, Mr. Teol. You said you can teach me to use my magic. Before we get to that, just how did you know?" Sora asked.

"I sensed it off of you, Sora," Teol said. This made Sora jump.

"How did you know my name?" Sora asked.

"I have a talent of knowing people's names when I first meet them. And I know your name is Kairi," Teol said.

"Yes," Kairi said.

"Now, time to get down to business. I can teach you how to master your magic, because you will need to use it to attack the Heartless," Teol said.

"And what kind of magic do I have?" Sora asked.

"The basic spells. What you have is Fire, Blizzard, Thunder, Cure, Aero, Zero Gravity, Stop, Magnet, Reflect, Balloon, Spark, Water, Sleep, and Stone. The basic spells. With practice, they will grow stronger; and you will learn other spells as you progress in your journey," Teol said.

"How do I use it?" Sora asked. Teol smiled.

"We will have to step outside," Teol said. He led Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Sparky outside and Teol waved his hands. Shadows appeared from the ground. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel flinched.

"Heartless! I'll take care of them!" Sora said, summoning his Keyblade. Pikachu's cheeks sparks up.

"Still your Keyblade, Sora. They are not real Heartless," Teol said. "What you see are illusions. Illusions that I have conjured."

"Illusions?" Sora asked.

"Yes. The Heartless you see are known as Shadows. The Shadows are the most common form of Heartless. As you are probably already aware, there are others; many in different shapes and sizes, and each with their own powers," Teol said.

"Yeah, I pretty much got that," Sora said, rolling his eyes. Teol smacked him on the head with a staff. "Ow!" Sora started to rub his head.

"Don't roll your eyes when I'm teaching you!" Teol scolded.

"Okay, sorry! Geez, that hurts!" Sora said.

"What the Heartless will do to you will also hurt. Now, since you have your Keyblade out, we will begin your training," Teol said.

"How do I use my magic? Is there a magic word I have to say, like in the movies?" Sora asked.

"You only need to say the name of the spell, or use a word that is associated with that specific spell. For example, when you need to recover from your injuries, say either 'Cure' or 'heal', and the magic will oblige you, but you need to hold your Keyblade above yourself," Teol said.

"Okay," Sora said. Sora moved his Keyblade and held it. "Heal." Magical plants appeared and vanished, healing Sora of his conk. Kairi was amazed by the sight.

"That's amazing," Kairi said.

"Eevee," Angel said.

"Cure is known as defensive magic. And that brings us to our next lesson. There are two types of magic. There is defensive magic like the Cure spell you just casted on yourself. And there's offensive magic. Try using a spell. I recommend either Fire, Blizzard, or Thunder," Teol said. "When using Fire or Blizzard, point your Keyblade at your intended target, and it shall fire the projectile at the target." Sora decided to give it a try. He points his Keyblade at the Shadow illusions.

"Fire!" Sora shouted. Sora fired a Fireball at the illusion, hitting it. Sora then decided to try Blizzard next. "Blizzard!" Sora fired a crystal of ice at the other one. It struck the second illusion. "That was cool; no pun intended."

"Very good. Now, to use Thunder. It's the same as Cure, but you need only to say the word 'Thunder' or a word that you know that goes with it," Teol said. Sora held his Keyblade above him.

"Thunder!" Sora shouted. Lightning struck the third illusion.

"Well done. Now, let's see how well you handle much bigger Shadows," Teol said. He conjured some more illusions, but the Shadows are much bigger than the Shadows he fought. "These are known as Mega-Shadows. These Heartless are bigger and stronger, but you will need to defend yourself when they come at you!" The Mega-Shadow illusions comes running towards him and lands a hit onto Sora.

"Ouch!" Sora said.

"Don't let your guard down!" Teol said.

"How am I supposed to defend myself against those?" Sora asked.

"Use your Reflect spell!" Teol said. The Mega-Shadows came running towards him again. They were close to scratching him.

"Reflect!" Sora shouted. Sora summoned a spherical shield of light around himself, fending off the attack, and countered with a small explosion. The illusions vanished.

"Very good. Your Reflect spell can be quite useful. It will be able to defend you while you're in the air. When it happens, you will know. And now, it's time to handle something else," Teol said, summoning the illusions of regular Shadows, but they crawl on the ground, flat.

"Hey, what's this?" Sora asked in frustration.

"This is what the Shadows will do! They will use that as their defenses. You have one spell that can hit them whilst they are occupied. Think," Teol said. Sora tried his Fire, Blizzard, and Thunder spells, but none of them has hit their mark.

"Oh, come on! How about this? Stone!" Sora shouted. Sora summoned a brown rock and it falls on the Shadows, but the rocks don't even touch them. "You gotta be kidding!"

"Pika," Pikachu said.

"Oh yeah! Balloon!" Sora shouted, holding out his Keyblade. Sora summoned a ring of multi-colored balloons. They float around, and the balloons doesn't even touch them. Sora groaned. He then began thinking. "How am I going to hit them when they won't come up? It's not like I can just flush them up." Sora then realized he can use water magic. "Right. Flush them up! Water!" Sora conjured Water and the water hits one of the Shadows. "Water! Water! Water!" Sora conjured more water and it flushed them up.

"Excellent. You figured out their weakness! Remember, every Heartless has its own wekaness, and you need to figure it out. Now, let's see how you handle a big crowd," Teol said, snapping his fingers. Several more illusions of Shadows and Mega-Shadows appear. Sora remembered Teol mentioning Magnet, so he had to give that a try.

"Gather!" Sora said, raising his Keyblade. It creates a vortex of magnetic force, pulling the illusions of the Heartless in the vortex. "Thunder!" Sora casts his Thunder spell, strking them all.

"Well done. Using Magnet and Thunder as a combo is clever. Continue," Teol said.

The illusions gathers around Sora again, ready to attack him.

"Sleep!" Sora shouted. The sound of a sheep's bleat is heard, and the Heartless illusions all fell asleep.

"Excellent!" Teol said. "You're making good progress in such a short time, but we have lots of practice to do!" Sora groaned.

Many hours passed as Sora practiced his magic. He did mess up quite a few times, but he managed to get it done. Kairi watched him practice.

That night, Sora was pooped from all the magic he was casting throughout the day.

"Man, who would have thought using magic can take a lot out of you," Sora panted.

"You made it look so easy, Sora," Kairi said.

"Yeah. Mess up, and Teol gets all over you," Sora said. "I think being a Pokémon Trainer and being a Keyblade Wielder at the same time isn't as easy as I thought."

"No one ever said it was ever easy, Sora," Kairi said.

"Well, I hope I can make the most of it when we take off tomorrow," Sora said. "Goodnight, Kairi."

"Goodnight," Kairi said.

Sora and Kairi fell right to sleep. Sora snored much to his consent as he slept like a baby.

It was now 3:00 in the morning when he was lightly kicked.

"Whoa!" Sora yelped.

"Shh," a voice said. Sora looked up to see Teol standing before him. "Let Kairi sleep some more. You still have work to do, young Sora."

"Can't it wait until it's at least dawn?" Sora asked.

"The Heartless will not wait until it's dawn, so why should we?" Teol said. "Up. Now." Sora sighed and stood up. Sora and Teol stepped outside. Sora was groggy from waking up so early.

"Now, Sora. It's time to practice your magic. Get ready," Teol said. Teol was about to get started when he heard something. He knew it wasn't a good sign. "No, not now!"

"Not now?" Sora asked. He got his answer when the Soldiers arrived. Sora was shocked to see these Heartless arrive. He looked at the symbol, and he knew they were the Emblem Heartless Yuta had mentioned before. "Emblem Heartless. Just like Kairi's dad said."

"No, this wasn't supposed to happen! Sora, these Heartless are known as Soldiers, and they're more fierce than the Shadows! Take them down!" Teol exclaimed. He took his staff and swung it at them. Sora summoned his Keyblade and struck down one of the Soldiers. The slained Heartless released a captive heart. It floats up in the air and vanishes.

Hearing the noise, Kairi woke up and stepped out to see what was going on, along with Pikachu and Angel.

"What is all the noise?" Kairi asked as she yawned. She opened her eyes and saw the Heartless approaching them. She gasped. "Heartless!" Pikachu shocked the Heartless. They fell and dissolved into darkness. Sora turned to see Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel.

"Kairi, get back inside until it's safe!" Sora said. Not needing to be told twice, Kairi shuts the door. Pikachu couldn't let Sora fight the Heartless alone, so he knew Sora was going to need backup, and he knew who was going to help. Pikachu pressed the buttons of each of the Pokéballs and Pidgey, Rattata, Metapod, Kakuna, and Bellsprout emerged from inside.

"Pi, Pikachu!" Pikachu said.

"Pikachu, what are you doing?" Kairi asked.

"Eevee, Eev, Eevee, vee!" Eevee said, pointing to her Pokéballs.

"I see. You wanna help Sora, don't you?" Kairi asked. Angel nodded. "I understand. Oddish, Igglybuff, Raichu! Come out!" Kairi's Pokémon emerged from inside. She opened the door, and the Pokémon stepped out to help Sora. He was surprised to see the Pokémon come and help him. Kakuna starts by firing Poison Sting at the Soldiers as Bellsprout whooped them with Vine Whip.

"That's it, guys! Keep it up!" Sora said.

Raichu gave the Soldiers a taste of his Thunderbolt as Igglybuff gave them a Pound. Oddish sprays them with Acid as Metapod tackled into them.

Over to Team Rocket, they somehow made it back to Viridian Forest, and continued their search.

"Those brats have got to be here somewhere," Jessie said.

"You've been saying that for hours, Jess," Meowth groaned in annoyance.

"The best way to get to them is when they're asleep, so we'll rob them blind," James said.

"And when they wake up, they'll see their precious Pikachu is gone," Jessie said, laughing. Just then, Shadows and Soldiers appeared before them. "What are they?"

"Are they Pokémon?" James asked.

"Not any I have ever seen," Meowth said.

"Whatever they are, let's catch them!" Jessie said.

"Yeah!" James and Meowth said.

They leapt forward to capture them, but the Heartless swipes at them. Their efforts to catch them were in vain, but then one of the Soldiers gave Jessie a kick.

"Hey, that hurts, you!" Jessie barked. The Soldier that kicked her spanned around and struck Jessie again. "Okay, this is getting old!" She took out a Pokéball. "Ekans! Go!" Her Pokéball opened and Ekans came out. "Ekans! Use Poison Sting!" Ekans fired Poison Sting, striking the Heartless, destroying some of them. Hearts floats in the air and disappeared.

"Where those hearts?" James asked as he blinked twice.

"Wait a second! What if those are 'ghosts and goblins'?" Meowth asked.

"Eek!" James yelped. "They must have something to do with the disappearances!" James grabbed Jessie, and Meowth grabbed Ekans.

"Hey, what are you doing?!" Jessie yelled.

"Saving your ass!" James said.

"My ass doesn't need saving!" Jessie said. James lifted her up "Hey, put me down!" James and Meowth ran as fast as they could run.

"Team Rocket's-" James started.

"-blasting off again!" Meowth finished.

They ran, leaving a trail of dust behind them.

Back to the battle, Sora and the Pokémon have managed to finished off the remaining Heartless. But unfortunately, their troubles were far from over. Another Heartless appeared, but it was much larger than the lesser Heartless. Its body is divided into several pieces — a body, a head, two arms, and two legs — none of which are directly connected to each other and all of which can act independently of the other. The torso armor is vaguely hour glass-shaped and is violet with a lilac, diamond pattern around its waist, and light black additives. The Heartless emblem is emblazoned on the center of the armor. Its head is violet, spherical, and sports three silver spikes and a silver faceplate with several holes in it. Both of the gauntlets are violet with wide wrists and three lilac, segmented fingers. The legs are short, violet and end in large, hammer-like, black feet. All of the pieces of the Heartless seem to be hollow.

"Sora, you're up against a much more powerful Heartless known as a Guard Armor!" Teol said.

"Is it really necessary to tell me now?" Sora said.

"It is when you wanna know your enemy! Listen! The key to defeating this Heartless is by attacking its limbs! Once the Gauntlets and Hammerlegs have been destroyed, destroy the Torso Armor!" Teol instructed.

"Got it!" Sora said, holding his Keyblade tightly. "Get ready, guys." Sora and the Pokémon prepared for a fight on their hands. The Guard Armor stepped forward as Sora came at the large Heartless. "Aim for the arms and legs!"

The Pokémon does exactly that. Metapod tackled into one of the legs as Kakuna shot Poison Sting at them. The legs stomped forward, so Rattata uses Flame Wheel, giving it the hot foot. The Gauntlets floats towards Sora and spins around. Sora reflects it and then smacked the Gauntlets. He the. heads for the legs, striking them. Pikachu and Raichu attacked the legs with their electricity. The Pokémon were taking some bad hits, but luckily, Sora was able to heal them with his Cure spell, along with himself. The legs gave Metapod and Kakuna a kick. This causes the cocoon Pokémon to evolve. Sora and the other Pokémon were surprised to witness the sudden evolution. Metapod had become an insect-like Pokémon appearing as a large butterfly. Butterfree has a large purple body with light blue limbs and a nose with very small fangs. Its eyes are quite large in proportion to its head and are a red color. His large wings simply appear as black and white butterfly wings. Kakuna has become an insect-like Pokémon with the appearance of a very large wasp. However, unlike a wasp, he only has four limbs, with the front-most limbs featuring two large, lance-like stingers. A third stinger is located on his rear end. Kairi was amazed by their evolution. Kairi she took out her Pokédex to scan them both. She started with the butterfly.

Butterfree, the Butterfly Pokémon

The evolved form of Metapod

Type: Bug/Flying

It has a superior ability to search for delicious honey from flowers. It can seek, extract, and carry honey from flowers blooming over six miles away.

Kairi then scanned the bee.

Beedrill, the Poison Bee Pokémon

The evolved form of Kakuna

Type: Bug/Poison

Swarms of Beedrill can gather around when their territory has been invaded. They use the stingers on their forelegs, and on their rear to give them a potent sting.

"Butterfree and Beedrill," Kairi said.

"Good you guys to evolve! Butterfree! Use Gust! Beedrill! Use Twineedle!" Sora ordered.

Butterfree flapped his wings as Beedrill's lances glow bright blue and it charges towards the Hammerlegs with them. Beedrill destroyed one of the legs.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.

"Yeah, nice one, Beedrill!" Sora said.

Butterfree kept up the assault as he tackled into one of the Gauntlets, destroying it. Sora and the Pokémon managed to destroy the limbs, but the torso was their biggest problem. The torso span around, hitting the Pokémon throughout the fight. It was coming towards Angel, but he saved her by jumping at her.

"Are you okay, Angel?" - Pikachu subtitle.

"Yes, thanks to you." - Angel subtitle. This makes Pikachu blush.

Bellsprout smacked the Torso Armor with Vine Whip. Pidgey attacked with Air Cutter as Raichu fired Thunderbolt. Sora took one swing of his Keyblade and he gave the finishing blow onto the Guard Armor. The armor began shaking before the helmet fell to the ground. A much larger heart floats upwards and disappeared. The remains of the Heartless dissolved into darkness.

"Glad that's over," Sora said.

"For now," Teol said. Several hours later, Teol led Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel right at the edge of the forest. "Follow this trail, and it shall lead you straight to Pewter City."

"You sure you can't teach me anymore?" Sora asked.

"I have taught you all I can teach you, Sora. In the rest of your journey, you shall learn different spells. You only need to figure them out for yourself," Teol said.

"Thanks for teaching me what I needed to know. Because of you, I know what I can do," Sora said.

"This is only the beginning, Sora. You will have to press on forward," Teol said. "And good luck in your Gym battle, Sora."

"Thanks. I might need it," Sora said.

"Thanks again," Kairi said.

With that said, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel took off for Pewter City. Teol watched them walk.

"Sora has real potential. I believe he can end the Heartless threat, and save everything from what's coming. I only hope he will be ready before it's too late," Teol said.

Sora is about to have his first-ever Gym battle. How will Sora be able to handle his upcoming opponent? Just wait and see when we continue on.
