Title: Rewrite the Stars

Chapter 3

(Sam still didn't see the need for all the grandkids to be at Monica's. She shakes her head in annoyance)

Sam: "Jason, I don't get it. Why do all the grandkids need to be here?"

Jason: (shrugs) "Because Monica wanted it. I don't see what the big deal is." (sighs) "I know you don't exactly like Elizabeth, Sam. Monica wanted to see her kids, too, though."

Sam: (raises her eyebrows) "You ARE aware that some of her kids aren't yours biologically, right?"

(Jason was getting really irritated! What the hell? Jason scoffs as he speaks)

Jason: "Monica doesn't care about biology, Sam. In fact, she considers all of Elizabeth's kids her grandkids, regardless if I'm the father of all of them or not."

(Jason shakes his head as he points out another topic that needed to be discussed for the hundredth time)

Jason: "Sam, we shouldn't even be here together. If your parole officer finds out that we're seen together, you'll be on your way back to Statesville. Do you want that, Sam? Huh? Do you not care about seeing your kids?"

Sam: (pouts) "Don't you get it, Jason? I miss you. I miss being with you. The kids miss you, too."

Jason: (serious tone) "We can't be together, Sam. If you're caught, it's over for you."

(Sam rests one hand on his cheek and tearfully speaks)

Sam: "Do you love me?"

(Jason briefly closes his eyes and nods)

Jason: (whispers) "Yes, I do love you. But you need to think about the kids and not yourself. You and I can live without each other. But, the kids will miss their mom."

Sam: (rolls her eyes) "I know that's true, but it doesn't mean that I have to like it, Jason."

(Sam and Jason are interrupted by Elizabeth and Franco's entrance along with the boys. Cameron gives Jason a hug along with Aiden and says hi, which Jason returns with a smile. Jake runs to his father and they hug and greet each other. What Elizabeth and Jason don't pick up on is the weird looks that Sam and Franco are giving each other. Elizabeth briefly looks around the living room before speaking)

Liz: "Where's Monica?"

Jason: "She's upstairs with Danny."

(Elizabeth smiles politely before excusing herself to go tell Monica that everyone's here. Franco smiles politely as well at Sam and Jason)

Franco: "Hello, Jason."

(Jason just nods. The stern look on Jason's face told Franco everything he needed to know. Jason made it clear in the past on numerous occasions that he doesn't like Franco. Before Elizabeth can go all the way up the stairs, Monica comes down with a smile. The two women walk down the stairs together and go into the living room)

Monica: "I wanted to thank you all for bringing the kids here. I haven't seen them in a while so it will be nice."

Liz: (smiles gracefully) "No problem at all, Monica. Cameron, Jake, and Aiden talked about how much they were looking forward to it."

Cameron: (nods & smiles) "It should be fun."

Monica: (chuckles) "Cameron, I do have video games here in case you get a bit bored."

(Cameron goes to Monica and embraces her)

Cameron: "I appreciate that. But, I hope you know that I enjoy hanging out with you, too."

Monica: (smiles) "Sounds good."

Sam: "It's no problem, Monica. I'm sure the kids will enjoy it."

Jason: "If you'd ever like to get together with the kids again, just let us know and we'll arrange it."

Franco: (nods) "Definitely."

Liz: "Enjoy the boys, Monica. Call me and let me know when you're ready for me to come get the boys."

Monica: (nods) "No problem."

(Monica and Elizabeth briefly embrace before Franco and Elizabeth make their exit. Monica looks at Sam and Jason)

Monica: "Sam, you better leave before Jason in case you are being watched."

Sam: (rolls her eyes) "Monica, everything will be fine. Don't worry."

Monica: (raises her eyebrows) "Are you sure about that? Do you really want to take that chance?"

(Sam leaves the mansion in a huff. Monica speaks in a serious tone)

Monica: (clears her throat) "I don't have to remind you, son, to watch yourself and remind Sam that she needs to be careful. I would hate for her to get sent back to Statesville because she was careless."

(smiles a bit) "Thank you for bringing the kids."

Jason: (nods) "You're welcome. Have fun. Call me when you're ready for me to pick them up."

(Jason makes his exit while Monica enjoys time with her grandkids)
