Title: Rewrite the Stars
Chapter 11
***The Park***
(Elizabeth is done with work for the day. She was relieved as it was a long ass day. She was prepared to have a long talk with Sam. Things needed to be said. Elizabeth knew that there may even be a screaming match, but she was prepared. It was time. At long last, after all these years, to get everything out on the table. She was not afraid of Sam and she would NOT back down, either)
(Elizabeth is currently sitting on the bench in the park drinking a coffee she got in the cafeteria at GH. She notices Sam walking in the park. Sam looks at Elizabeth out of the corner of her eye and attempts to keep on walking when Elizabeth scoffs)
Liz: "Just going to keep on walking, McCall?"
(Sam, who is a bit away from Elizabeth, rolls her eyes and places her hands on her hips as she turns around)
Sam: "I didn't see you there."
(Elizabeth shakes her head and scoffs as she speaks)
Liz: "Bullshit. That's bullshit and you know it. You just don't have the nerve to face me. It's also time we talked. Put all of our cards on the table."
(Sam faces her enemy, folding her arms over her chest)
Sam: "I thought that we got everything out on the table years ago?"
(Elizabeth gets off the bench and raises her eyebrows)
Liz: "Are you sure about that, McCall? Because if we had, then there wouldn't be so much friction between us still."
Sam: (huffs) "Oh, please!"
(Sam places a few strands of hair behind her ear as she faces her enemy again)
Sam: "I thought we declared a truce. Or, at least, I did. I offered one the other day. You seemed to accept it."
(Sam shrugs as she places her thumbs in her jeans pockets and turns her head slightly)
Sam: "I guess not. But, that's on you, NOT me."
Liz: (laughs incredulously) "Oh, please! Sam, that 'truce' or whatever you want to call it was fake and you damn well know it! You never intended to honor the truce! You were just trying to play the victim and you damn well know that you're NOT a victim. Far from it! You're a selfish bitch who tried to play the victim as much as possible!"
Sam: (laughs) "Hey, I know I'm not the victim. I never pretended to be." (points at Liz) "That's YOUR area of expertise. YOU always try to be one as much as you can. When are you going to stop trying to act like one and realize you're just a fucking bitch who gets her kicks out of hurting others?"
Liz: (squints her eyes) "Oh, really? So, I'm a bitch who likes to hurt others? What exactly do I do, Sam?"
(Sam walks in a circle as she points at Elizabeth)
Sam: "Oh, oh, oh! You have got to be fucking kidding me, Webber!"
Liz: "It's Baldwin. I'm married, in case you've forgotten. But, no, I want to hear this. What did I supposedly do?"
Sam: "For starters, you faked Danny's paternity test to make it look like Jason wasn't the biological father! What kind of sick bitch does that?"
Liz: (nods) "I admit that, yes. That wasn't my proudest moment. I admitted the truth to Jason. I apologized to him and to you. I loved him and I didn't want him to know the truth. In the end, I knew that he deserved to know the truth, as did you. He accepted my apology and forgave me." (shrugs) "I'm not perfect. I'm human." (tilts her head) "Now, there's you."
(Sam leans her head back a bit in protest before speaking)
Sam: "What about me?"
Liz: "You're by no means a perfect angel, either, Sam." (folds her arms) "What about the time I turned my back for a minute to tend to Cameron and you watched as someone took Jake from his stroller? You didn't try to stop them. You didn't speak up after the fact." (points at Sam angrily) "No, you didn't do a damn thing! Thankfully, Jake was returned to me. Not from any help by you, though."
(Sam turns her head away from Elizabeth. Now, it was Sam's turn to list one of Elizabeth's misdeeds and she was going to take full advantage of it. Oh, was she ever. No way was Elizabeth going to have the last laugh)
Sam: "What about when you kept Jason's identity a secret and it was revealed around the date of your wedding day? No one recognized him and he went by 'Jake'. Spinelli did a face recognition. Between his old face and a new one before the constructive surgery, it was revealed that it was Jason." (scoffs) "Jason and I would have been together a long time ago if it weren't for you."
Liz: (points out) "Yeah, but if I remember correctly, you wanted NOTHING to do with 'Jake' when his identity wasn't revealed yet. You couldn't stand 'Jake'. In fact, he tried to befriend you, but you rebuffed him. However, as soon as you found out he was actually Jason, you're all of a sudden 'my Jason, you're back!'. Please!"
(Sam shakes her head in an attempt to deny it)
Sam: "I did not."
Liz: (raises her eyebrows) "Oh, are you going to start lying now, Sam, and change the past? Trust me, it doesn't suit you."
(Sam knew she was caught, causing her to roll her eyes in annoyance. She raises her hands to her sides)
Sam: "Okay, fine. You're right. Yes, at first, I didn't like 'Jake'. I love Jason and when I found out it was Jason, I was relieved."
Liz: "Yeah, but it should not have mattered who he truly was, Sam. It should not have mattered whether he was 'Jake' or 'Jason'. It didn't to me. I loved him, whether he was 'Jake' or 'Jason'. But, to you, he HAD to be Jason for you to feel an attachment towards him. How does that make sense?"
Sam: "Whatever. It's over and done with."
Liz: "Maybe to you. But, to Jason and others, it will never be forgotten."
Sam: "I love Jason. I will always love Jason. That will never change. No matter what you say or do to try turning him against me."
(Elizabeth can't stop the laugh from escaping her mouth at Sam's last comment)
Liz: "Oh, Sam, I don't have to do a damn thing to turn Jason against you. You're doing that all on your own."
Sam: "Jason and I love each other. There's nothing you can do about that."
Liz: "I'm not planning on doing anything about that. It's not my business...unless Jason decides to confide in me about anything. Whatever him and I discuss is between us." (stares at Sam) "For the record, though? Jason and I loved each other, too. We have a past. Do I still love him? I will always love him. Even though things didn't work out, those feelings don't just go away. However, Franco is my husband and I love him."
Sam: (smirks) "And I'm guessing there's no secrets between you and your husband?"
(Elizabeth didn't know where Sam was going with this. Elizabeth gave Sam a weird look)
Liz: "No, my husband and I don't have any secrets from each other." (turns her head slightly) "Unless there's something I should know?"
Sam: (thinks to herself) "You mean, the fact that Aiden is really Jason's son and Franco and I know the truth?" (chuckles) "Oh, Lizzie. If you only knew."
(Sam clears her throat and speaks in a normal tone)
Sam: "I was just curious if there were any secrets between you and Franco. But, there's not, so that's good."
(Elizabeth wasn't sure if she could trust that. She figured Sam was lying about something, but couldn't prove it. She changes the subject)
Liz: "I think it's safe to say that your so called 'truce' was fake. I was hoping that we could make peace, but I don't see that happening."
Sam: (scoffs & laughs) "How the hell could we make peace when you keep on insisting on playing the victim?"
(Elizabeth groans loudly and rolls her eyes)
Liz: "OH, MY GOD! GOODBYE, SAM! I'm done with you! Whatever games you're playing, leave me and my family out of them! Got it? Otherwise, you will have me to deal with."
(As Elizabeth is walking away, Sam can't help the chuckle from leaving her mouth as she talks)
Sam: "Oh, I'm shaking, Webber. No way am I scared of you."
