Episode 17: Operation: Rocket Infiltration
After their first attempt to rescue Mr. Fuji has failed, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel has started to make their way towards Celadon City to get the Silph Scope from Team Rocket. It took them almost a day to get there. Upon arriving, Sora figured the rescue mission was far more important than his Gym battle, so he had to stick with the mission.
Arriving in Celadon City, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel were making plans to get inside of the Team Rocket hideout.
"Okay, the guy says they hangout at a place called the Rocket Game Corner, so that wouldn't be too hard to figure out," Sora said.
"The way that guy told us, it makes it so obvious. They'll stick out like a sore thumb because of their ego," Kairi said.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said.
"Eevee, vee," Angel said.
"Even if we do find it, those guys aren't exactly going to be rolling out the welcome mat for us," Kairi said.
"You're right. Our best course of action is to try to avoid any confrontations with them directly, and that's going to be the hard part," Sora said. "And it'll be any harder if there are any Heartless inside."
"And what was that about me jinxing it, Sora?" Kairi asked, crossing her arms. Sora chuckled nervously.
"I sure walked into that one," Sora said. He chuckled nervously again.
"Chu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Okay, we find Team Rocket's hideout, get the Silph Scope, and then get out. No battling unless necessary," Sora said.
"Sounds like a solid plan, Sora," Kairi said.
"Let's just hope it works," Sora said.
With that plan made, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel stepped out of the Pokémon Center to retrieve the Silph Scope and rescue Mr. Fuji from Team Rocket aboard the Pokémon Tower and get pass the ghost that haunts it.
Meanwhile in an undisclosed location, a man stepped out of his office and carried a file. He wore black penny loafers, brown suit pants, white shirt with pink tie, lighter brown vest and an investigator coat. He has brown eyes, dark hair, wrinkle marks around his mouth, black eyebrows and has an inquisitive look.
"Mr. Looker," one of the staff said, walking up to him. It turns out to be a woman. "Got word that there's a rumor of Team Rocket activity currently active in Celadon City."
"I know. That's where I'm heading," Looker said. "What about the report from our spy?"
"She said the boss of Team Rocket is there as we speak," the woman said.
"Excellent. We arrest him, and we can give Team Rocket a black eye they'll never recover from," Looker said.
Sitting at a desk, an obese man is wearing the same kind of outfit as Looker, but he wore a brown fedora hat. He was eating a box full of donuts.
"Just who does he think he is? He muscles right in and he takes over the whole Team Rocket operation. I've been working on that case for six months!" The obese man asked.
"Well, sir, he is one of our top officers in the international police, so-" another officer said. He is carrying another box of donuts.
"Shut up, Chester, and gimmie those donuts!" The obese man said, grabbing them. "You both the cream and jelly filled kinds, didn't you?"
"I did, sir," Chester said.
"Good," the obese man said, scarfing them down. "Okay, what word do you got?"
"Okay, Detective Mullock, there are rumors of Team Rocket in the Pokémon Tower. They have been there for the last few days," Chester reported.
"Let's get our asses down there and kick their asses," Mullock said.
"I should call for a crane to get him there, but it might damage the equipment," Chester said under his breath.
"I heard that wise-ass!" Mullock said. "You coming or what?"
"Right behind you, sir!" Chester said, coming with him.
Back in Celadon, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel eventually found the Rocket Game Corner. It was just as they thought, it has a rocket as part of their logo.
"Okay, here it is," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"All we gotta do is go in, right?" Kairi asked.
"Yeah. But we should be careful not to draw any attention inside," Sora said. With that said, they entered inside the Rocket Game Corner. They saw a whole bunch of people inside and occupying the slot machines. They went around the place and they saw the usual Team Rocket trio at the few of the slot machines. Kairi pulled Sora back to avoid them seeing him.
"You sure it's a good idea to use the slot machines even after they told us to keep busy?" James asked.
"We've earned a break, James. Besides, there hasn't been any interference so far," Jessie said.
"Jess is right, James. The cops have been distracted so far," Meowth said. "We would he in loads of trouble if they find the poster with the rocket on the back said. Jessie and James grabbed him by the mouth.
"Shut up, Meowth!" James aaid.
"Someone might hear us!" Jessie said.
Sora and Kairi grinned, getting the edge that they needed.
"That's all we need to know," Sora whispered.
"Thanks for making it easy for us," Kairi said.
They managed to get to the back wall, and saw a single guard, a man, standing by the poster. There were other posters, but there was only one with a rocket. The man then took his leave of the poster.
"Man, they're the whole rocket thing too literally," Sora said.
"On the plus side, it made our job easy," Kairi said.
"Hey!" A male voice called out. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel flinched when they heard the voice. It turns out to be a male staff member taking a cigar out of the mouth of a male patron. "There is no smoking in the Rocket Game Corner, sir."
"Who do you think you are, telling a man where he can and can't smoke! I'll have you know, I can smoke anywhere I damn well want!" The man yelled.
"Sir, please lower your voice," the staff member said.
"Don't tell me to lower my voice neither! I can yell and scream as loud as I want!" The man yelled. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel sighed, relieved at not being found and then kicked out. They walked over to the poster and searched for a way in.
"Where is it? Isn't there a button to push or something?" Sora asked, searching around. The man standing next to the poster came back and spotted them.
"Hey, you two!" The man yelled. They turned to see him coming their way. "What the hell are you doing?"
"We've been spotted!" Kairi said.
"That guy has to be from Team Rocket!" Sora said, taking out a Pokéball. The man took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Raticate!" The man shouted. A Raticate emerged from the inside the Pokéball and snarled. Sora threw the Pokéball.
"Well, it just became necessary! Go! Charmander!" Sora called out. Charmander emerged out of the Pokéball and readied to battle.
"Raticate! Use Super Fang!" The man ordered. Raticate charged Charmeleon with its front teeth glowing and heads for the Lizard Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Scratch!" Sora ordered. Charmander gave Raticate a scratch. "Use Dragon Rage!" Charmander fired Dragon Rage and hits the Mouse Pokémon on the spot.
"Use Water Gun!" The man ordered. Raticate spews water gun at the Lizard Pokémon.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Charmander dodges Raticate's Water Gun. "Use Flamethrower!" Charmander fired Flamethrower right at Raticate and lands a hit. Raticate has been knocked out. The man growled as he attempts to run off, but Kairi and Angel stopped him.
"Angel! Quick Attack!" Kairi ordered. Angel lands a Quick Attack on the man.
"Good work, Kairi!" Sora said. Kairi blushed.
"Thanks, Sora," Kairi said.
"Chu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
Sora walked up to the man and grabbed him by the shirt.
"How do we get in?" Sora asked.
"There's a switch at the bottom corner of the poster," the man wheezed. "And that's how you get in." Sora dropped him and he lifted the bottom corner and he flicked the switch. The wall opened up and revealed a way in.
"So well hidden," Sora said.
"Let's go! Mr. Fuji's counting on us," Kairi said.
"Right. Pikachu, Angel, come on," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Vee!" Angel said.
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel went down the stairs with the man watching them. He took out a walkie-talkie.
"We have a problem," the man said.
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel went down the stairs and looked around for any signs of Team Rocket or any Heartless. Turns out there was no sign of either one of them; not yet at least. They walked through the Team Rocket hideout.
Back upstairs, the man closed the door by switching the switch back.
"Man, the boss is gonna kill me, if he finds out about this," the man said. The placed the bottom corner of the poster back in place. He stepped out and he grabbed Jessie and James by the shoulders, and Meowth followed them.
"Hey, what's the big idea?" Jessie hissed.
"Shut up! We got a problem," the man said.
"What kind of problem?" James asked.
"Hey, if it's about the cops, we got them distracted, okay?" Meowth asked.
"We got intruders inside the hideout. Don't ask me how, they're there!" The man said.
"They got in?" James asked.
"I know, it's bad, but it's going to get worse if the boss and the other higher-ups hears about this. Get down there and find them! I don't care what you do!" The man said.
"On it," the Team Rocket trio said, taking off.
Downstairs, they kept looking around, but a couple of Team Rocket grunts approached them. They took out some Pokéballs and threw them. Out came some Zubat, Golbat, Ekans, Koffing, Rattata, Raticate, Grimer, Fearow, and some other Pokémon.
One Pokémon is a seemingly robotic Pokémon that has a gray, spherical metal body with blue-and-red tipped horseshoe magnets on each side and a single, large eye. It has three Phillips head screws on its body: two near the bottom of its body and the one on top of its head that looks similar to an antenna. This Pokémon is known as Magnemite.
Another is a robot-like Pokémon, the result of three Magnemite becoming linked together by a strong magnetic force. Like Magnemite, they each have gray, spherical metal body with blue-and-red tipped horseshoe magnets on each side and a single, large eye. It has three Phillips head screws on its body: two near the bottom of its body and the one on top of its head that looks similar to an antenna. This Pokémon is known as Magneton
Another is an insectoid Pokémon with a spherical body covered in purple fur. The fur releases a toxic liquid and it spreads when shaken violently off their bodies. A pink pincer-like mouth with two teeth, stubby forepaws, and a pair of two-toed feet are visible through its fur. Its limbs are light tan. There is also a pair of white antennae sprouting from the top of its head. However, the most prominent feature on its face are its large, red compound eyes. This Pokémon is known as Venonat.
Another is an insectoid Pokémon whose body is varying shades of purple. Its head and thorax are both light purple, and it has bulbous, round, light blue eyes, a small mandible, and a three-point crest on its head. Tucked close to its thorax are three pairs of tiny, whitish legs. Its abdomen is paler with several black, zigzagging stripes encircling it. It has two pairs of pale purple moth-like wings with thin black venation. This Pokémon is known as Venomoth.
Another is a spherical Pokémon that resembles a Poké Ball with eyes and minus the button. The top half is red, while the bottom half is white. This Pokémon is known as Voltorb.
Another is a round Pokémon resembling an upside-down Poké Ball with a mouth and eyes. Its top half is white, while its lower half is red. This Pokémon is known as Electrode.
Sora and Kairi took out their Pokéballs and threw them. Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Butterfree, Mankey, Oddish, Chansey, Raichu, Cleffa, and Pinky all came out to battle.
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt! Mankey! Butterfree! Gust! Use Karate Chop! Bulbasaur! Razor Leaf! Charmander! Flamethrower! Squirtle! Water Gun!" Sora ordered.
"Angel! Swift! Raichu! Thunderbolt! Pinky! Gust! Chansey! Egg Bomb! Cleffa! Fairy Wind! Oddish! Razor Leaf!" Kairi ordered.
Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt, Bulbasaur fired Razor Leaf, Charmander fired Flamethrower, Squirtle fired Water Gun, Butterfree fired Gust, and one of Mankey's arms becomes outlined in a white glow and hits the a Raticate with it. Angel fired Swift, Raichu fired Thunderbolt, Oddish fired Razor Leaf, Pinky fired Gust, Cleffa released a wind with pink energy in it at the opposing Pokémon, and Chansey took her egg, giving off a golden glow and then threw it.
The Team Rocket grunts shielded themselves as the Pokémon were all struck hard. The egg comes right back to Chansey. The Team Rocket Pokémon pushed back, but they pushed back even harder.
The Team Rocket Pokémon were taken down hard.
"We won't forget this!" One of the female grunt scowled. They took off running. Now that they're gone, Sora summoned his Keyblade and casts his Cure Spell to heal them of their injuries.
"That should take care of it," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu beamed, liking the feeling of the magic.
"Now, let's get a move on," Sora said, calling back his Pokémon. Kairi called back her Pokémon as well.
Over to Giovanni's office, a female Team Rocket grunt entered the office.
"Sir, we have a situation!" The female Team Rocket grunt reported.
"What is it?" Giovanni asked.
"Two intruders have infiltrated the hideout, a boy and a girl; and they have defeated a handful of our people," the female Team Rocket grunt reported. Matori was shocked to hear this, but Giovanni was unphased. Matori noticed how he was calm about it, and it bothered her greatly. She was expecting him to blow his top over it.
"Deal with the matter. And bring the intruders straight to me," Giovanni ordered.
"Yes, sir," the female Team Rocket grunt said, stepping out.
"This is certainly unexpected," Giovanni said.
"This will not stand, sir. Our forces will bring them to us," Matori said.
"Or they'll come by themselves," Giovanni said. "One way or the other, I will deal with them."
Over to the Pokémon Tower, Mullock and Chester entered the tower.
"The Pokémon Tower. A dark and grim place," Mullock said.
"Why would they wanted a place like this?" Chester said, literally shaking in fear.
"I don't know, I don't care. All I know is, those guys are gonna be sorry that they've seen me," Mullock said. They made it up to the fifth floor of the Pokémon Tower. "One more floor to go."
"Great. I'll just head back down stairs and wait for you," Chester said. Mullock grabbed him the shoulder.
"Oh, no you don't. You're not getting cold feet while I'm around!" Mullock said.
"What if we run into the ghost?" Chester asked.
"There's no such things as ghosts, you big coward. Now, come on! We got arrests to make," Mullock said.
They head up to the sixth floor, and then the shadow became restless.
"Get out!" A voice spoke.
"Hey, stop with the clowning!" Mullock said.
"That wasn't me!" Chester said.
"Get out!" The voice repeated.
"You deaf or something? I said cut it out!" Mullock yelled.
"That wasn't me!" Chester said.
"Then who was it? The ghost?" Mullock asked as the shadow formed. Chester saw the shadow and he froze in place. "I am going tell you once and for all! There are no such things as ghosts! Ghosts are make believe like unicorns and your brain! There are Ghost-type Pokémon, but there are no actual ghosts! And-"
"Get out!" The ghost said.
"Don't bother me now. I'm in the mid-" Mullock froze when he realized something is right behind him. He slowly turned and his face turned white.
"Get out! LEAVE THIS PLACE!" The ghost said.
Mullock and Chester screamed and ran as fast as they could run. They ran back to their car and drove off.
"Step on it!" Mullock yelled.
Back in Team Rocket's hideout, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel searched for the Silph Scope, but they didn't find it. There were doors they couldn't get opened because they were locked.
"This place has to be huge," Sora said.
"We gotta keep looking, Sora," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
They came downstairs and saw arrows on green tiles.
"What's this?" Sora asked.
"I don't know, but it doesn't look very safe," Kairi said, before Sora stepped on it. His whole body spins around. "Sora!"
"Whoa!" Sora exclaimed. He made it to a yellow platform and stepped spinning. "I'm all dizzy."
"I'm coming, Sora!" Kairi said, stepping on it and spins around as well. She lands right on Sora. His dizziness disappeared and sees how close she is. "Are you okay, Sora?"
"Yeah, I'm okay. How about you?" Sora asked.
"I'm just fine, Sora," Kairi said. She looked at the spin tiles and the stop tiles on the floor. "The only way we're gonna get through if we get on those."
"It's worth it even if we end up getting dizzy again," Sora said. "Here we go." Sora stepped on the spin tile and Kairi followed after. They reached the end of the trail and made it to an elevator. Sora presses the button, but nothing happened. "You've got to be kidding me!"
"What's wrong?" Kairi asked.
"I can't get the elevator going! The controls must be disabled or something," Sora said.
"Maybe there's a way to get it going again," Kairi guessed.
"It's better than nothing. If those guys knows how to get up there, then we gotta find whoever," Sora said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel went upstairs and saw a female Team Rocket grunt.
"The intruders!" The female Team Rocket grunt exclaimed. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Mankey!" Sora called out. Mankey emerged from inside and got ready to go. The female Team Rocket grunt took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Grimer!" The female Team Rocket grunt called out. "Use Pound!"
"Mankey! Scratch!" Sora ordered. Mankey scratched Grimer across the face.
"Grimer! Use Sludge!" The female Team Rocket grunt ordered. Grimer fired Sludge at Mankey and hits him, but it got him angry.
"Use Karate Chop!" Sora ordered. Mankey lands a Karate Chop on the Sludge Pokémon, dealing some damage. "Use Fury Swipes!" Mankey gave the Grimer some scratches across the face. Mankey gave Grimer a toss and it hits her. "How do we use the elevator?"
"You will need the access key for it," the female Team Rocket grunt answered. "And good luck trying to get it."
"That means we would have to go further down," Sora groaned.
"Do we have a choice?" Kairi asked.
"Not really," Sora said.
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel came downstairs again and found some more spin tiles. They knew they had to take them again. And that's what they did. They made it to the other side of the room, and went downstairs to another room.
"Sora, I just had a thought," Kairi said.
"What?" Kairi asked.
"Couldn't we have used your Keyblade to get access to the elevator?" Kairi asked.
"I don't know if it'll work, so I can't risk it," Sora said. "Besides, they'll start asking how we got up without it." Kairi knew he had a point.
"Just a thought," Kairi said.
"Well, it was a good thought," Sora said. Kairi smiled.
They made it to downstairs and they saw the lift key above them.
"Look! It's gotta be the lift key to the elevator!" Kairi said.
"Someone must have thrown it up to keep us from reaching it," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
Sora and Kairi looked at their partners and then at each other. They get an idea.
"If we can't get there, maybe they can," Sora and Kairi said in unison.
"If only if there was something there was a way to get there," Sora said. He spots an air vent. "The vent! Pikachu and Angel can go through the vent!"
"That's a good idea, but how are we going to get them up? We need something to stand on," Kairi said. She spots a chair. "Look that chair!"
"Great. One of us has to stand on the chair with Pikachu and Angel on one of our shoulders, and get the vent opened," Sora said.
"Since it's your plan, you're gonna carry it out," Kairi said.
"Right," Sora said. He moved the chair under the vents. Pikachu and Angel jumped on Sora's shoulders and pulled the vents as hard as he could. "It won't budge." Pikachu fixed that by using Iron Tail on the vents. "Of course, that works, too." Pikachu and Angel got in the vents.
"Angel, be careful up there," Kairi said.
"You too, Pikachu. We're counting on the both of you," Sora said.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said.
"Eevee, vee," Angel added.
The two Pokémon started to make their way through the vents and made to another entry point. Pikachu busts through for the both of them and walked on the metal ceiling. They made it to the pole, crossing to the key. They dashed over and reached the key. They saw the other side. Giovanni was sitting at his desk. They didn't want to risk being spotted, so they got back to Sora and Kairi, and heads back the way they came to reach the elevator.
They reached the elevator with Jessie, James, and Meowth waiting for them. They were surprised to see it was Sora and Kairi.
"The intruders were the twerps the whole time!" James exclaimed.
"I had a feeling we would run into you morons eventually," Sora said. Jessie, James, and Meowth scowled at Sora.
"Who are you calling morons?" James asked.
"Don't ya know it ain't nice to call people names?" Meowth asked.
"What do you care, Meowth? You're not even human," Sora said.
"Yeah, but that doesn't make it alright!" Meowth said.
"Who cares?" Jessie asked, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Ekans! Go!"
"You too, Koffing!" James called out.
Ekans and Koffing emerged from inside.
"Ekansssss," Ekans hissed.
"Koffing," Koffing said.
"Ekans! Use Bite!" Jessie ordered. Ekans sprang into action against them.
"Koffing! Use Tackle!" James ordered. Koffing charged right at them as well.
"Angel! Use Swift!" Kairi ordered. Angel fired Swift, hitting Ekans and Koffing.
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt, shocking the Team Rocket Pokémon. They both go down. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Mankey! Go!" Mankey came back out to battle. "Use Karate Chop!" Mankey gave a chop onto Ekans and Koffing, sending them flying back to their Trainers. Mankey then started to evolve, and, much to the surprise of everyone. Mankey has become a bipedal, simian Pokémon with a round body covered in whitish, shaggy fur. There is usually a throbbing vein on the left side of its forehead, and it has triangular ears with pink insides, narrow eyes with tiny pupils, and a pink, snout-like nose. Its arms and legs are brown and have metal shackles on the wrists and ankles. This is probably indicative of a method of training with weights. The hands have no visible fingers, instead resembling mittens or boxing gloves, and the feet have two toes.
"It evolved!" James exclaimed.
"It's a Primeape now!" Meowth also exclaimed. Primeape gave the Team Rocket trio a much deserved thrashing, making them run for their lives.
"TEAM ROCKET'S BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Jessie, James, and Meowth yelled as they ran.
Sora and Kairi were amazed by Makney's evolution.
"That was great, Primeape," Sora said. He took out his Pokédex and scanned his newly evolved Pokémon. "Let's see."

Primeape are well known for their temper tantrums. Once you look at Primeape directly in the eyes, it will chase after you to no end.
"Okay, Primeape, better rest up for right now," Sora said, calling back Primeape. "I'll let you out when we need you again."
They accessed the elevator and saw there was only a B4, so Sora pressed it and heads down. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel arrived and saw a door in front of them. Sora opened the door to find Giovanni sitting on his desk with Matori, her Alolan Meowth, and his Persian beside him.
"So, you're the ones who're been causing a great deal of irritation," Giovanni said.
"Just who are you?" Sora asked.
"Straight to the point, I see. Very well. My name is Giovanni, and I'm the boss of Team Rocket," Giovanni introduced himself.
"The boss of Team Rocket?" Kairi asked.
"Eevee?" Angel asked.
"Yes. Although, I was assuming you two would be a tad older. I don't know if I should either be impressed or insulted. But you have caused a whole lot of trouble for me," Giovanni said.
"Why are you doing this?" Kairi asked.
"If you are referring to the fact that we are trafficking Pokémon to serve our needs, then I shall educate you on the matter. Pokémon are our tools for business," Giovanni said. Sora and Kairi didn't like how that came out.
"Tools for business?" Sora growled. "You don't seriously believe that, do you?"
"Oh, but I do. Pokémon have been put on this planet to serve human beings, that is all," Giovanni said.
"No, that's not true!" Sora argued. Giovanni looked directly at Sora. "Pokémon are not tools for business, and they weren't put in this world to serve us! They were put here as our friends!"
"Friends?" Giovanni scoffed.
"That's right! Pokémon are friends to humans; they have the same thoughts and feelings as we do! They have emotions and hearts like we do!" Sora said.
"That's right!" Kairi said.
"Eevee!" Angel agreed.
"With statements like those, it makes believe that you know nothing of how the real world operates. It makes no difference to me, so I will crush you both along with your beliefs!" Giovanni said. He turned to his Persian. "Persian! Go!" Persian leapt forward. Matori was about to join in, but he stopped her by raising his hand. Pikachu and Angel stepped in to battle Persian.
"Pikachu! Use Quick Attack!" Sora ordered.
"Angel! Use Quick Attack, too!" Kairi ordered.
"Persian! Slash!" Giovanni ordered. Persian slashed at both Pikachu and Angel. Sora and Kairi gasped at that. "Use Power Gem!" The jewel on Persian's forehead glows white and it fires a light-blue beam of energy with a bright white energy around it from the jewel at Pikachu and Angel.
"Pikachu! Block it with Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fired Thunderbolt and used it to block Persian's attack. An explosion occured.
"Slash!" Giovanni ordered. Persian heads towards Pikachu to land a slash on the Mouse Pokémon.
"Angel! Use Quick Attack!" Kairi ordered. Angel dashed and lands a hit on Persian. The cat-like Pokémon growled.
"Slash, but concentrate it on that Eevee!" Giovanni ordered. Persian gave Angel a slash on the mark.
"Angel!" Kairi gasped. Pikachu looked at Angel, falling on the ground.
"If your precious little Eevee is such an angel, then let's clip her little wings. Persian! Use Power Gem!" Persian fired Power Gem again. Pikachu ran towards Angel and pushed her out of the way, and took the hit. Angel was horrified by what she saw.
"Pikachu!" Sora gasped.
"He saved Angel," Kairi said.
"Eevee!" Angel exclaimed. Pikachu struggled to get back up.
"Well, I wasn't expecting this. A Pikachu saving its ally and took the hit. How foolish," Giovanni said. Sora growled in anger. Angel had tears flowing in her eyes and then turned into rage. Angel turned to Persian and ran towards it.
"Angel?" Kairi asked. Angel fired Swift right at Persian, hitting it.
"Use Slash!" Giovanni ordered. Persian heads towards Angel with Slash.
"Dodge and use Quick Attack!" Kairi called out. Angel dodges Persian's slash with her speed and then lands a hit. Angel's tail gave off the same metallic glow as Pikachu's tail and struck Persian on the mark. "Angel, you learned how to use Iron Tail!" Persian fell on the ground as Angel glared hatefully at Persian. Pikachu stood back up on his feet at last.
"Can you still keep going, Pikachu?" Sora asked.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Okay! Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt, shocking Persian, sending it flying. Persian has struck the wall. Giovanni took out Persian's Pokéball and called it back.
"Very impressive. I must say, I have underestimated you," Giovanni said.
"Give us the Silph Scope now!" Sora demanded.
"The Silph Scope? I would be angered by your insolence, but in this case, I will give you this as a sign of apology. But make no mistake, I plan on defeating you the next time our paths cross," Giovanni said. "Come, Matori."
Matori said nothing. She and her Alolan Meowth went with him. She gave a stare at the two of them.
Outside the Rocket Game Corner, the police had arrived and raided the place. Looker stepped out and he gave the signal to move. Most of the Team Rocket members have been arrested for their crimes.
Giovanni and Matori were making their getaway by helicopter. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel have retrieved the Silph Scope, and with it they had a chance to identify the ghost haunting the Pokémon Tower. But Giovanni will not forget Sora and Kairi for putting a sting on Team Rocket's operations anytime soon. And now Sora and Kairi have seen the face of their mortal enemy. But they knew they will see Giovanni again.
