Episode 33: Princess vs Princess
Two days have passed since Johnny and Belle's wedding, so Sora and Kairi have arrived in O-Hina Town, right in time for a holiday celebration. Before the event, Sora had exchanged five of his Pokémon for Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pidgeotto, and Rattata. Kairi has exchanged Chansey and Clefairy for Poliwag and Jigglypuff.
"Yes! Princess Festival Day!" Kairi cheered.
"Eevee, vee!" Angel also cheered. Sora sighed because it was the day he dreaded, because his sister Karen has treated him like a servant on that day.
Over to Team Rocket, they have arrived right at the same time.
"Hooray! Princess Festival Day! I have been looking forward to this all year-round!" Jessie said.
Split screen:
"That means, today, you have to do whatever I say," Kairi and Jessie both said.
"Um, okay," Sora said. Sora would have gotten out of it, but he knew better since he refused to do so three years ago, and it didn't end well for him. Karen pulled some pranks on him, making him cry uncle, and not mommy. Ever since then, he never refused to go with Karen.
"How is it different than any other day?" James asked.
The split screen ends as Sora and Pikachu catered to Kairi and Angel's every need.
"Ooh, these are cute! I'll take these and these!" Kairi said, placing the dolls in the shopping cart.
"Keep em coming," Sora said in his thoughts. "At least Kairi treats me better than Karen does on Princess Festival Day. And I wonder who's the unfortunate boy who got stuck catering to her every whim this year."
Over to Pallet Town, Karen is wearing a pink dress and walks down the street. She turned around.
"Come, come, Ventus! Don't dawdle," Karen said.
"Coming, cuz!" Ventus said, carrying the bags.
"Today, I'm not your cousin, I'm your princess, and I expect you to treat me as such," Karen said.
"Yes, Princess Karen," Ventus said.
"I'm sorry, what was that?" Karen playfully asked.
"Princess Karen, the prettiest girl on the face of the earth," Ventus said.
"Much better," Karen said, satisfied with his answer. "Now, come, Ventus." She starts walking as Ventus was walking. Fortunately he managed to get some help from Primeape, Machop, Onix, and Rhyhorn. They were also carrying the bags.
Back in O-Hina Town, Kairi was treated to a meal in which Sora had to pay for. She saw Sora has a cup full of soda.
"Is that all you're having, Sora?" Kairi asked.
"Well, yeah. Since I'm a boy, I don't eat for free," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"I'll tell you what, Sora. After today, we'll do whatever you want. Would that be okay?" Kairi asked.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"I guess," Sora said.
Kairi was taking a bite of her meal when she spots something.
"Look!" Kairi exclaimed, pointing forward.
"What?" Sora asked. He turned and saw it was a poster for a movie. "Kairi, it's just a movie poster featuring some actor I never even heard of."
"Not that. Next to it," Kairi said. Sora looked at the poster and saw the poster. "A discount sale, off 75%!"
"Lucky us," Sora said in a low voice.
Over to Team Rocket, they do some major shopping of their own. And they do their signature motto.
"Prepare for trouble, and some shopping!"
"And make it double, so let's get hopping."
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all peoples within our nation!"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!"
"Surrender now, or prepare to fight!"
"Meowth! That's right!"
"Mime, Mime, Mime!"
Jessie places the dresses on the counter.
"Put these on the Team Rocket account!" Jessie said.
"Yes, ma'am," the cashier said.
Out in the local park, James and Meowth are sitting at the park.
"Jessie, this is boring. I hate this silly Princess Festival!" James complained.
"Stop complaining! You don't think I'm doing all this shopping just for myself, do you?" Jessie asked.
James and Meowth was surprised to hear how she was being generous, which they find to be absolutely, positively unusual.
"You bought stuff for us?" Meowth asked.
"No. I'm buying some gifts from the boss. He hasn't heard from us in a while, and it's our way to make up for failing to capture Pikachu, and for the mishaps in Celadon City and Lavender Town," Jessie said.
"And how will buttering up the boss put us on his good side?" James asked. "Especially after what happened?"
"Yeah. Word is spreading that Team Rocket's rep in the criminal underworld has taken a serious nosedive from the twerps getting in the way," Meowth said.
Suddenly, they heard rustling in the bushes. They turned and saw something moving in the bushes. Out came a bipedal Pokémon with a round body and a thick, powerful tail. It has soft, pink skin with curved yellow lines on its belly and a yellow ring marking on each knee. It has a thumb-like claw on each hand and a single large nail on each foot. There is a yellow spot on its palms and the soles of its feet. It has beady eyes and a long, prehensile tongue.
"What is that?" Jessie asked.
"It's a Lickitung," James said.
Lickitung walked up to Jessie and used its long tongue to swipe the deli meats and sauces and ate them. Jessie gasped.
"It ate the presents for the boss!" Jessie exclaimed in shock.
"It's got good taste," James said.
"That's one hungry Lickitung!" Meowth said.
Lickitung spat out the cans and walked towards the other boxes and opened them up with its tongue. It ate the food that was inside.
"Those are presents for the boss! Get your own dinner!" Jessie yelled. Lickitung went to another box. "Don't even think about it, you pink menace!" Lickitung opened the box and stuffed the dresses in its mouth. Lickitung didn't like the taste and spat them out. Lickitung starts to walk away. Jessie growled. "How dare you! Those are the latest of designer dresses!" She took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Arbok! Go!" Her Arbok emerged from inside.
"Cha-bok!" Arbok hissed. Lickitung simply licked Arbok, paralyzing him.
"That was Lickitung's Lick! It paralyzes an opponent in battle!" Meowth said.
"If eating my dresses and then spitting them out wasn't enough, doing that to my precious Arbok is crossing the line, Lickitung!" Jessie said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it at Lickitung. The pink Pokémon flows inside and stars swirls inside to confirm the catch.
"Jessie actually caught that Lickitung," Meowth said.
"What are you going to do with it?" Meowth asked.
"I'll deal with this one later. Right now, we have some shopping to do," Jessie said. "I got credit cards that needs a good workout."
"Oh boy," Meowth groaned.
"And the princess shop-athon continues," James said.
In the store, the girls were all going nuts for some dresses and clothes. Kairi tried on some outfits and she loved them all. Sora blushed, seeing how good she looked in those dresses.
"Wow, no matter what she wears, she looks very, very pretty," Sora said in his thoughts. He thought back at the wedding when he got to dance with her, he wanted to kiss her right there and then.
Over to Team Rocket, Jessie was arguing with the other girls over a dress she wants.
"Hands off, sister! I saw it first! It's mine!" Jessie yelled.
"I don't think I'm tough to be a woman," James said.
"I'm not even tough to be a man," Meowth said.
Over to Kairi, she spots a dress and reaches for it.
"This looks pretty," Kairi said, reaching for it.
"Yoink!" Jessie said. Kairi and Jessie both winced when they saw each other.
"You again!" Kairi gasped.
"The twerpette!" Jessie said. "Let go of that, brat!"
"You let go!" Kairi said. "I saw it first!"
"It wouldn't look good on you! It belongs to someone with someone with a sense of good grace and style," Jessie said.
"And you think that's you?" Kairi asked.
They let go of the dress and glare at each other. The males came and they winced when they saw each other.
"Oh, crap! The morons are here, too!" Sora gasped.
"I'll take this," a woman came and took it.
"Hey, I say that first!" Jessie called out, earning a glare from her. "I was mistaken." Jessie chuckled nervously.
"I don't know why you're here, but you're not going to ruin my favorite day for me!" Kairi said. Just then, a bell rings.
"Attention, all Princess Festival shoppers! Attention, all Princess Festival shoppers! In just a few minutes, we will be holding our annual Princess Festival Day Pokémon Battle Extravaganza!" The manager announced.
"Princess Festival Day Pokémon Battle Extravaganza?" Kairi asked.
"Princess Festival Day Pokémon Battle Extravaganza!" Jessie asked.
"And this year's grand prize will be the one-of-a-kind collection of Pokémon Princess Dolls," the manager announced.
"Princess Dolls?" Kairi and Jessie both asked at once.
"And in addition, the winner will be having their picture taken with screen sensation, Fiorella Cappuccino," the manager said.
The girls all cheered as they got to hear that the winner wants to have a picture taken with Fiorella Cappuccino, but Kairi nor Jessie cared about getting a picture taken with him. The girls all ran as they trampled over Sora and James.
"How about we use the competition to resolve our dispute?" Jessie suggested.
"The winner gets to keep the collection," Kairi said.
"That's fine by me," Jessie said.
Sora and James groaned in pain from the trampling they went through.
Many of the girls registered for the tournament as did Kairi and Jessie. Sitting in the booth is a man wearing a suit. He has black hair and glasses. Sitting with him is a handsome young man with teal hair. He wore a red shirt and black pants. He wore a pair of suave black shoes.
"Wow, what a crowd! We have quite a turn-out for a Princess Festival competition this year! I'm Bruce Barone, and joining me this year is the star of the film, coming soon in a theater near you, Fiorella Cappuccino!" Bruce announced.
"I'm happy to be here, Bruce," Fiorella said
"The winner of our tournament must be as poise as a Jynx, sit serenely as a Jigglypuff, and possess the charm and grace of an Oddish! And on top of that, they all have to be skilled Pokémon Trainers," Bruce said. "Now, let's meet our competitors!"
The competitors all marched out as the tournament begins.
"This isn't a peewee league, so you might as well go on home, little girl," Jessie said.
"If you're trying to scare me, then you might as well be disappointed that it won't work," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"We got us quite a beautiful spread this year, don't we, Fiorella?" Bruce asked.
"Si," Fiorella agreed. "They're all molta bella!"
"Now, let's have a look at what they will be competing for!" Bruce announced as the display shows off dolls of Pikachu, Eevee, Charmander, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Jigglypuff, Clefairy, Vulpix, and Ponyta all wearing princess dresses and tiaras. The doll of Pikachu has a heart-shaped tip at the tail, as the doll of Eevee has the same pattern as Angel.
"Oh, they're so cute," Kairi cooed.
"Ciao, then," Fiorella said as his teeth sparkled. "It's good to be here."
"Pokémon Princess Dolls," Jessie said.
"The only set in the world," Kairi said.
Jessie and Kairi glare at each other as sparks literally flies between them.
"What a shame. Putting so much effort in a tournament you're gonna lose," Jessie teased.
"History says otherwise, Jessie," Kairi said.
"Now, it is time to go over the rules of our tournament! The contestants are broken up into divisions! And they will be using up to four Pokémon each! The battle will be over when all four Pokémon are unable to continue battling!" Bruce announced.
"May the best woman win," Jessie said.
Just when the tournament was getting started, Kairi has chosen her four Pokémon for her first match. As each Trainer, except for Jessie, has six Pokémon each, and Kairi can use six of hers, but has to be chosen to battle.
"Kairi, there's something I wanna ask you," Sora said.
"What?" Kairi asked.
"Why is this tournament so important to you? Is it because you wanna have your picture taken with that Fiorella guy?" Sora asked.
"No. It's more than that, Sora. Way more," Kairi said. Sora was confused by what she meant. "When I was little, I have always loved Princess Festival Day. It was a day, I got to spend it with my mom and grandma. Every year, my mom always had an eye on the set we just had seen. The Pokémon Princess Dolls. My mom thought they were so very cute, and she wished she had a set just like those. And so, I made a vow that I would get those for her, no matter what. And I'm going to keep that promise even today." Sora was moved by the fact she's doing it for her mom, and that made him love her more.
"Then, I'm with you all the way, Kairi!" Sora said. "Get out there and win it for your mom!"
"Thank you, Sora. I know you have your support," Kairi said.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
The tournament begins as soon as the referee arrived. Kairi is battling in the east wing, and Jessie is battling in the west.
"Choose and begin!" The referee called out.
"Go! Kingler!" The girl called out. Out of her Pokéball came a crab Pokémon. It has a 5 spiked crest on top of its head and more teeth on its mandible than Krabby. It has a pincer that is larger than the other. Kairi took out her Pokédex and scanned it.

One claw grew massively and is as hard as steel. It has 10,000-horsepower strength. Due to its oversized claw, it has difficulty to move.
"I have just the Pokémon to use," Kairi said, taking out her Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Gloom!" Her Pokéball opened and Gloom came out to battle.
"Kairi has chosen Gloom as her first Pokémon up against a Kingler! Judging by types, Gloom has the advantage!" Bruce announced.
"Kingler! Use Crabhammer!" The girl ordered. Kingler's big claw becomes surrounded in water and then it charges at Gloom with it.
"Dodge and use Razor Leaf!" Kairi ordered. Gloom dodges and fired Razor Leaf, hitting Kingler on the spot.
"Kingler misses its mark with Crabhammer, and Gloom fires a Razor Leaf its way!" Bruce announced.
"Use Moonblast!" Kairi ordered. Gloom fired a pink ball of energy from her flower and struck Kingler hard, resulting in a knockout.
"Kingler is unable to battle! Gloom wins!" The referee announced.
"Kairi takes the lead as she took down Kingler without putting up a sweat!" Bruce announced. The girl calls Kingler back, and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Vulpix!" The girl called out. Her Pokéball opened and a Vulpix emerged from inside. Kairi called back Gloom and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Poliwag!" Kairi called out. Poliwag emerged from inside the Pokéball.
"Kairi calls back Gloom, and sends out Pokiwag!" Bruce announced.
"Use Flamethrower!" The girl ordered.
"Dodge and use Water Gun!" Kairi ordered. Poliwag fired Water Gun and it struck Vulpix hard. "Use Double Slap!" Poliwag went right towards Vulpix and gave the Fox Pokémon a couple of slaps, and brings Vulpix down.
"Vulpix is unable to battle! Poliwag wins!" The referee announced.
"Two in a row, so which ones will she send out next?" Bruce asked. The girl sends out a Venonat. Kairi calls back Poliwag and sends out Raichu to battle. Raichu gave Venonat a heavy Thunder Punch, and then the girl sends out a Raticate, and Raichu took it down fast. "And Kairi's Raichu didn't give Venonat or Raticate a chance to fight back! And it gives Kairi a good start!"
"I knew you could do it!" Kairi said.
Over to the west wing, Jessie is preparing for her first battle.
"And we have a look in the west wing, tje first Pokémon is a Primeape! What will Jessie's first Pokémon be?" Bruce asked.
"Your choices are rather limited. The only one you've got is Arbok," James pointed out.
"Don't be so sure," Jessie. James sees Weezing floating next to her.
"No, not my Weezing!" James cried.
"Mime, Mime, Mime, Mime!" Mime Jr said.
"Even with those two, they ain't enough to win it for ya," Meowth said.
"I think you're forgetting something, Meowth," Jessie said.
"Huh?" Meowth asked.
"Just think about it for a moment," Jessie said.
Jessie and Meowth look into each other's eyes for a moment right up to when Meowth made a sudden retaliation.
"Ah! I'm a Pokémon, too!" Meowth exclaimed.
"Oh, and you just figured that out! Get in there!" Jessie said, tossing Meowth on the battlefield.
"Jessie's first Pokémon is a Meowth! Let's see how this turns out!" Bruce announced.
"Okay, ya fuzzball! Come and get some!" Meowth said.
"Primeape! Use Seismic Toss!" The girl ordered. Primeape gave Meowth a toss in the air, and right out of the battlefield.
"Meowth is unable to battle! Primeape wins!" The referee announced.
"Saw that coming a mile away," Jessie said. She turned to Arbok. "Move in with Poison Fang!" Arbok moved in with Poison Fang and lands a bite on Primeape's hand. Primeape ends up being poisoned.
"Primeape is now poisoned! What an upset!" Bruce announced.
"Use Poison Fang again!" Jessie ordered. Arbok lands another Poison Fang, taking down the Pig Monkey Pokémon.
"Primeape is unable to battle! Arbok wins!" The referee announced.
Kairi and Jessie battled their way towards the top. Angel, Raichu, Poliwag, and Jigglypuff has bested a Fearow, a Tangela, a Cubone, and a Growlithe. Each battle has brought Kairi a win, climbing her up to the finals.
Jessie has bested her opponents as well, catching up with Kairi. Sora and James watched on with amazement as Kairi and Jessie have both eventually reached the top. Kairi and Jessie stare at each other.
"We are now down to the last final round of our tournament; Kairi vs Jessie! Which one is going to be the voctor?" Bruce asked.
"I'm gonna be the victor! What kind of stupid question is that?!" Jessie roared.
"Hey, I'm just keeping the people at the edge of their seats," Bruce said.
"Earning those Pokémon Princess Dolls will be satisfying," Jessie said.
"You want we shall take care of her?" Meowth asked in a Yiddish accent.
"No, I can handle her," Jessie said.
"You mean, you're not gonna cheat?!" James exclaimed.
"You're actually gonna play by the rules?" Meowth asked.
"I'll have to, because I want to rid myself of my painful memories," Jessie said.
"Painful memories?" Meowth asked.
"Oh boy, here we go," James said.
"The truth is, I always hated Princess Festival Day, because all of the other girls got everything, and I always get nothing," Jessie cried.
"I never knew that," James said.
"I always thought every girl loved Princess Festival Day," Meowth said.
"All it was to me is a reminder of the things I never had," Jessie said.
"Jessie, I have every confidence that you'll win those Princess Dolls," James said.
"So do I!" Meowth said.
"I'll do my very best," Jessie said.
"Begin the battle!" The referee called out.
"Arbok! You're in first!" Jessie ordered. Arbok moved right in.
"Raichu! Go!" Kairi called out. Raichu entered the battlefield.
"Arbok! Use Wrap!" Jessie ordered.
"Raichu! Use Thunderbolt!" Kairi ordered. Raichu unleashed Thunderbolt, shocking Arbok, and taking him down with one hit.
"Arbok is unable to battle! Raichu wins!" The referee announced. Jessie growled.
"Weezing, get in there!" Jessie said. Weezing does so.
"Thunderbolt!" Kairi ordered. Raichu lands a Thunderbolt, ending with the same results.
"Weezing is unable to battle! Raichu wins!" The referee announced.
"Meowth, get in there!" Jessie yelled.
"You can count me in!" Meowth said, stepping in. He screamed as he gets zapped by Raichu's Thunderbolt. "And I thought Pikachu's Thunderbolt is tingly."
"Good job, Raichu!" Kairi cheered.
"Unless Jessie brings out her fourth Pokémon fast, then Kairi wins by forfeit!" Bruce announced.
"It's all over," Jessie said.
"No, it ain't!" Meowth corrected her. Jessie looked at the Scratch Cat Pokémon. "Ya still got that Lickitung!" Jessie gasped in realization.
"You're right! I have Lickitung!" Jessie said. She took out its Pokéball and held it. "I'm going to enjoy giving her a good licking!" She threw the Pokéball. "Go! Lickitung!" Her Pokéball opened and Lickitung emerged from inside.
"Licki!" Lickitung said. Kairi and Angel were stunned to see Jessie had another Pokémon in reserve.
"Jessie has a Lickitung?!" Kairi exclaimed.
"Eevee!" Angel also exclaimed.
"When did she get that?!" Sora exclaimed.
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
"And Jessie's final Pokémon is a Lickitung!" Bruce announced. Kairi took out her Pokédex and scanned Jessie's newest Pokémon.
Lickitung, the Licking Pokémon
Type: Normal
It uses its long tongue to gather food from hard-to-reach places. When it tastes something new for the first time, it never forgets the taste.
"Okay, Raichu! Use Thunder Punch!" Kairi ordered.
"Lickitung! Use Lick!" Jessie ordered. Lickitung gave Raichu a lick in the face. "Use Tackle!" Lickitung gave Raichu a hard tackle, making him tumble backwards.
"Lickitung makes a great start with that Lick, followed by Tackle!" Bruce announced.
"Raichu is unable to battle! Lickitung wins!" The referee announced. Kairi calls back Raichu and pulled out Poliwag's Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Poliwag!" Kairi called out. Lickitung emerged from inside.
"And it's Poliwag's turn!" Bruce announced.
"Poliwag! Use Double Slap!" Kairi ordered.
"Stop that little runt!" Jessie ordered. Lickitung grabbed Poliwag in its tongue.
"Uh-oh! Lickitung has poor Poliwag in a hold with its tongue!" Bruce announced.
"This is exciting. Wow," Fiorella said.
"Use Lick!" Jessie ordered. Lickitung licked Poliwag, causing some paralysis. "Slam Poliwag down!" Lickitung slammed Poliwag hard on the ground, resulting in a knockout.
"Poliwag is unable to battle! Lickitung wins!" The referee announced.
"And that's two in a row for Jessie and her Lickitung!" Bruce announced.
"Two down, two to go!" Jessie said. Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Gloom!" Kairi called out. Her Pokéball opened and Gloom came from inside. "Use Moonblast!" Gloom was about to use Moonblast when Lickitung gave Gloom a lick in the face. Gloom has been taken down.
"Gloom is unable to battle! Lickitung wins!" The referee announced.
"This is the greatest comeback I have ever seen in Pokémon history! Now Kairi is down to one Pokémon left to use! Will Kairi use her last chance to make a comeback, or will Jessie be this year's queen of the Princess Festival?" Bruce asked.
"Okay, Lickitung! If you win this, I'll treat you to an all-you-can-eat meal on me!" Jessie said.
"What should I do? Jessie's Lickitung is so much tougher than I thought. I have to take him down," Kairi said in her thoughts.
"Eevee!" Angel said. Kairi looked at Angel. "Eevee, Eevee, vee!"
"You wanna battle, Angel?" Kairi asked.
"Eevee," Angel nodded.
"I have every confidence in you, Angel. Go!" Kairi said.
"And Kairi's final Pokémon is her Eevee!" Bruce announced.
"This should be fun," Fiorella said. Jessie laughed.
"What can that little runt do to my Lickitung? Cuddle it to death?" Jessie asked as she laughed again.
"Just keep laughing, you witch," Kairi said."Lickitung! Use Lick!" Jessie ordered. Lickitung extends his tongue to lick Angel, but it does nothing to her. Angel just smirked.
"And Jessie's Lickitung's Lick does nothing to it!" Bruce announced.
"She must feel disappointed in her failed plan," Fiorella said.
"What the hell is going on?!" Jessie yelled.
"Jessie, this might be a bad time to bring this up, but Lick is a Ghost-type move, and it has zero effect on Normal-type Pokémon like Eevee," James said.
"I'll just try harder! Lickitung! Use Tackle!" Jessie ordered. Lickitung charged right at Angel with Tackle.
"And here comes Lickitung with a headstrong Tackle!" Bruce announced.
"She wants to end this now," Fiorella said.
"Dodge and use Swift!" Kairi ordered. Angel dodges and fired Swift, landing a hit on the Licking Pokémon. "Use Headbutt!" Angel rammed into Lickitung's belly, making him wheeze.
"It looks like Lickitung is no match for Eevee's speed!" Bruce announced.
"That little Eevee is not only cute, but also fast," Fiorella said.
"Lickitung! Stomp!" Jessie ordered. Lickitung came forward to give Angel a good stomping.
"Use Quick Attack!" Kairi ordered. Angel dodged and lands a hit with Quick Attack. "Use Iron Tail!" Angel swung her tail towards Lickitung, sending Lickitung flying. He hits Team Rocket and they go flying in the air.
"Team Rocket's blasting off again!" Team Rocket shouted as they twinkled in the distance. The referee was dumbfounded by what he saw, but he regains his posture.
"Um, Lickitung is unable to battle! Eevee wins! The winner of the Princess Festival Day Pokémon Battle Extravaganza is Kairi!" The referee announced.
"And it is Kairi who will be going home with those Pokémon Princess Dolls!" Bruce announced.
"Yes! I got them for mom! She'll be so pleased to have them!" Kairi said.
"I'm sure she'll love them, Kairi," Sora said.
A little while later, Kairi has placed the doll collection in a box and had them shipped to her home address.
"Please be careful with them," Kairi said. The mailman just chuckled.
"Don't worry there, miss. We'll take care of this package just like it was a baby," the mailman assured with a smile. He drove off to make the delivery.
Now that Kairi has won the Pokémon Princess Dolls for her mother, she can only imagine her surprise. But of course, not everybody is happy. A tear ran down Jessie's cheek.
"I lost the dolls," Jessie cried. Lickitung gave Jessie a lick in the face. "Thanks for trying to cheer me up." She saw James and Meowth wearing princess dresses and tiaras. "Why are you two dressed like that?"
"Well, since you didn't win the doll set this year, Meowth and I thought this should cheer you up," James said.
"Don't tell me-" Jessie paused. "Oh no! You're all just a bunch of living dolls!"
Jessie, Arbok, Weezing, Lickitung, and Mime Jr all wore princess dresses and did a pose the same as the doll set Jessie wanted.
