Chapter One-hundred and eighteen: Hisui History
Wanting to make it to Driftveil City as soon as possible in the hopes of catching up with Ash's group as soon as possible, Dawn and the boys more or less left Nimbasa City after all three of them had earned Bolt Badges. They made it as far along Unovan Route 5 as they could before it was judged by Dawn as getting too late to continue, so the reborn trainers left the main road to find a secluded area in the wooded area on the northern side of the route. They would try for Driftveil Drawbridge, which connected Unovan Route 5 to Driftveil City, in the morning, and soon after that Driftveil City itself.
As the reborn trainers set their camp up, Dawn noticed how four of Kenny's on hand Pokémon, Lin, Kyo, Majora, and Mina, were all watching him man the curry pot, all of them watching with a sense of child-like wonderment. Dawn couldn't help but smile at how adorable it seemed; it looked to Dawn like children watching their parent cook. She even half expected at least one of Kenny's Pokémon there try to help him with the cooking, but Kenny gently telling them that he'll take care of everything got them to all just sit there and watch the master at work. Even Kenny gently telling his Pokémon to keep back while he was cooking came off like a parent telling so to their child, further strengthening the anaology.
Dawn turned her attention over to where Kenny's other on hand Pokémon, Giyu and Moista Fista, were hanging with Dawn's on hand Pokémon and Trip's on hand Pokémon. Giyu was being his brooding self, something that didn't change when he evolved from Oshawott into Dewott. As for Moista Fista, the named Ursaring was simply sitting around, peacefully hanging with the other Pokémon. Given that Ursaring as a species are known for being more aggressive, it would come off as a bit of a surprise to outsiders to see Moista Fista being so agreeable with the rest of the Pokémon.
As Dawn thought about how there were all kinds in the world, Kenny called out, "Oi! Dinner's ready, you two!"
"Sweetness!" Trip said as he made his way over, "Hey Kenny, you gotta show me how you prepare the camp out curry at some point. I fancied myself as something of a chef a while ago, you see."
...
As the Pokémon all ate curry off to the side (Trip was amazed that one plate of curry was enough to satisfy Deelia) too far away to hear what their trainers were saying clearly, the reborn trainers ate at a picnic table that had been set up. As Dawn and Kenny were eating, Trip was reading Dawn's copy of the book 'Paranoia's Price', his own plate of curry sitting in front of him nearly forgotten. "You could at least finish your food first before reading," Dawn said to her sister-brother, snapping Trip out of reading and getting him to turn his head to face her.
"Sorry, but this book reminds me a lot of how I got a lot of time into PLA," Trip said.
Kenny nodded in acknowledgement. "True. I believe it was going to come out in January of 2022, but I bit it in late December 2021."
"Mid December 2021," Dawn spoke up for herself, "Trip, you bit it in late May 2022, right?"
Trip nodded in the affirmative. "Got at least a hundred hours into PLA. There were some cool Pokémon in it that I bet you would have loved." Trip gave his brother-sister a wry look of amusement. "...Although it doesn't surprise me that you had gotten Argent from that one incident in Pewter City that you told me about. I always figured that you would have latched on to Hisuian Arcanine."
"He is a magnificent Pokémon," Dawn admitted, "And I would have loved to see what all was available in PLA." Dawn's eyes narrowed out of bemused jealousy as she regarded Trip. "...As well as what all was in Scarlet and Violet."
"Hey, even I didn't see anything beyond the three starters," Trip defended, "I don't even know what the region for gen nine is called." Kenny then let out an amused laugh, entertained by the siblings before him being... well, siblings. Kenny's laughing got Dawn and Trip to laugh as well, and what mild bad feelings ended up melting away as a result.
...
After they all ate, the reborn trainers and their Pokémon got ready to go to bed. For the Pokémon aside from Deelia, they were all recalled to their pokéballs, and Deelia laid on its legs like a deer who was laying down on the ground. As for the reborn trainers, they all slept in sleeping bags, not bothering changing out of their day clothes. Trip also didn't want Dawn to see him change; although physically female and male respectively, Dawn and Trip were mentally male and female respectively. The ways of being Isekai'd are weird like that sometimes.
"I still wish that I was able to see what Hisui was like," Kenny remarked.
Dawn nodded in agreement. "Oh yeah. That would be a treat."
Shrugging, Trip replied, "Well if we ever come across a museum hosing a Hisui history exhibit and it's NOT attacked by Team Scorn, we can check it out and try to get immersed in history that way. Well, goodnight you two."
"Good night to you as well, my dude," Kenny said before snuggling into his sleeping bag.
Letting out a yawn as she snuggled into her sleeping bag, Dawn said, "G'night, boys." Within short order, the reborn trainers all fell asleep, safely hidden in their secluded camping spot. Watching them all go to sleep was Deelia, Trip's named Dialga. It heard what its master and the other humans said, and something from deep within its memories stirred. With an amused hum, Deelia laid its head out as it closed its eyes.
The dark lines along Deelia's body glowed a somewhat bright light blue.
Dawn and the boys soon woke up, all of them feeling well rested and ready to get a start on the day. "Alright, Driftveil Drawbridge," Kenny said, "Here I co-hey, what happened to the wooded area we were in?"
Dawn and Trip looked around, and saw that the wooded area that they were in was indeed gone. Also, it was still the dead of night despite how all of the reborn trainers felt well rested, Deelia and the sleeping bags were missing as was the rest of the campsite, and they were laying in a field of brightly colored flowers. Worried about what had happened, Dawn and the boys slowly got to their feet. They also checked their on hand Pokémon. Trip saw that AkiBot 966 was missing, same as Deelia, but Fourze, Tsunade, David, and Veda were all accounted for. Dawn saw that out of her Pokémon, only Zancrow was missing, and Chi-Chi, Germany, Shadow, Leni, and Akiza were all accounted for.
Kenny was freaking out because only Giyu and Moista Fista out of his Pokémon were accounted for; Mina, Majora, Kyo, and Lin were all missing. "Kenny, calm down," Dawn said, "I'm sure this is some big cosmic mix-up and we'll be-"
"My lil' buddies are missing!" Kenny exclaimed, "I need to find them pronto! I need to-"
"Tox!"
Kenny was cut off when he and the others heard a Dustox cry out; looking over, Dawn and boys saw a trio of Dustox fluttering towards them, all three of them very clearly hostile. "We can worry about other things later," Dawn said as she readied Chi-Chi's pokéball, "For now, we've got to-"
"Samurott, Psycho Cut."
Before any of the reborn trainers knew what was happening, a female voice had calmly called out, then one of the Dustox was struck down from behind by a Psycho Cut attack, knocking it out. Looking over, the reborn trainers saw what looked to be a darker, more aggressive looking, and clearly larger than normal Samurott standing behind where the remaining two Dustox fluttered in place. The two Dustox turned to face the large, aggressive looking Samurott, but then the same female voice from before called out, "Samurott, Aqua Jet."
The mysterious Samurott slammed into the nearest Dustox with an Aqua Jet, taking it out before turning on the last one. "Samurott, Night Slash." The mysterious Samurott used Night Slash on the remaining Dustox, defeating it and saving Dawn and the boy in the process. Granted, the three of them were very much capable of easily defending themselves from a trio of wild Dustox, but whoever it was that was commanding the mysterious Samurott had saved them the trouble. As the reborn trainers lowered their arms which were raised with readied pokéballs, the same female voice called out, "Are you three strangers alright?"
Dawn and the boys looked over and saw a young adult girl walk up; she couldn't have been any older than eighteen at most. She had hair like Dawn's but in a sort of red color, same as her eyes. She wore what looked like a clansmen outfit of light purplish pinkish, and a set of glasses and a Bowlet Hat, both of which were of colors that went well with the clansmen outfit. The mysterious Samurott moved to stand at the mysterious young adult girl's side, loyally like Pokémon normally would stand with their trainers.
Seeing that the reborn trainers were still looking a little on edge, the mysterious young adult girl gestured to herself. "I apologize if my Samurott here gave you all a bit of a fright. Even though the folks of Jubilife Village are far more trusting of Pokémon than they were this time a few years ago, the sight of an alpha Pokémon such as my Samurott here still sparks cause of worry. I assure you, however, that my Samurott will not harm a human. Unless sufficiently provoked, of course."
"...Yeah," Dawn said, "Yeah, we don't wanna tango with an alpha if we can help it." Dawn was starting to put the pieces together in her head to explain what was going on, but she still wanted to confirm a few things. "...In either case, thanks for the save. My name is Dawn, the boy with the brownish hair is Kenny, and the boy with the sandy blonde hair is Trip."
The mysterious young adult woman nodded once in acknowledgement. "A pleasure to meet your acquaintance, Dawn, Kenny, and Trip. My name is Lilimon."
The boys looked surprised, as did Dawn but she was able to keep a better lid on it. "So... Lilimon..." Dawn began as she spoke to the now identified Lilimon, "Where is this Jubilife Village place you mentioned? My companions and I would like to rest somewhere where there's civilization."
"...Well I could easily lead you there," Lilimon began, "But your outfits would draw unwanted attention. Even with the progress the people of Jubilife Village have made, they still tend to be gossipy and un-trusting about folks who strike them as odd." Folding her arms over her chest, Lilimon said, "I'd say that you ought to wait here while I go get some outfits for you all and bring them back here so you can change out here where no one would see you, then I could lead you to Jubilife Village. But you could be attacked by wild Pokémon while I'm gone..."
"We actually have our own Pokémon on hand," Trip explained, "And were about to fight off those Dustox ourselves before you saved us the trouble."
Nodding once in understanding, Lilimon replied, "Fair enough. You all wait here, I'll bring back the outfits for you." Lilimon then walked about a dozen feet away, took out and played a flute, a weird looking Braviary with a glider attachment flew in, Lilimon hopped on, then took off into the night sky and flew off.
...
"Well, I think we time-traveled to Hisui," Trip said casually as he, Dawn, and Kenny waited for Lilimon to get back.
"Wait, wait, wait," Dawn said, "You mean we traveled through time? How is that possible?"
Shrugging, Trip said, "Well Deelia was sleeping outside with us before we woke up here. Maybe that has something to do with it?" Looking around, Trip went on, "This does look like the Floaro Gardens area in the Obsidian Fieldlands. Also, that Lilimon girl had an alpha Hisuian Samurott with her."
"Oh!" Kenny exclaimed, "I still have Giyu! You think he can evolve into Hisuian Samurott while we're here?"
Shrugging, Trip replied, "It's worth a try. Also, you have Moista Fista, your Ursaring, on hand, and he also has a shot at evolving further here in Hisui."
"He does?" Kenny asked.
Trip nodded in the affirmative. "Yes. Into a Pokémon called Ursaluna. We ought to wait for Lilimon to get back before we-" Trip was cut off when he and the others heard someone far above them call out from the air. Looking up, the reborn trainers saw Lilimon fly back in on her Braviary ride, landing on the ground about ten meters away before the Braviary flew off.
Walking up to where the reborn trainers were gathered, Lilimon asked, "You all had no trouble with the wild Pokémon here, did you?"
Dawn gently shook her head. "No. The only ones who bothered us were those three Dustox you took out earlier."
"Well that's a relief," Lilimon replied, "Anyway, I got you each outfits to wear so you all won't be forced to wear weird looking clothing that'll make you all stick out like spears in a corpse."
A bit surprised by the grimmer way to say 'stick out like sore thumbs' that Lilimon had just used, the reborn trainers nonetheless changed into their outfits that were provided to them. Dawn got a copy of the outfit that Lilimon wore (minus the hat and glasses), Trip got a dark blue clansmen outfit that seemed to be a counter to the outfit worn by Dawn and Lilimon, and Kenny wore a fancy looking kimono top, matching bottoms, and a pair of boots exactly like the ones Trip got. The kimono top and bottoms were dark bluish and reminded one of Hisuian Samurott.
"You, Dawn," Lilimon began, "Got a full Pearl Clan outfit, just like what I'm wearing. Trip's got a full Diamond Clan outfit. I intended to also get a full Diamond Clan outfit for Kenny, but I could only get the boots. So to make up the rest, he's wearing a matching set of fancy kimono top and bottoms styled after Samurott."
Looking all around herself, Dawn said, "Well at least we're garbed in acceptable fashion."
Nodding in agreement, Lilimon remarked, "Indeed. Anyway, now I can take you to Jubilife Village. It's close to morning, and Beni's mochi shop should be open for business by the time we get there, provided we leave right away."
"Lead the way, boss lady," Kenny replied, thus prompting Lilimon to lead the reborn trainers out of Floaro Gardens and over to Jubilife Village.
Being in Jubilife village made the reborn trainers feel like they stepped into a Japanese historical drama. Even though their fashion wasn't drawing too much unwarranted attention, Dawn and boys still felt like they at least sort of stuck out while sitting at an outdoor table outside of a mochi place with Lilimon, all of them waiting for their orders to come in. "This will be my treat, so no need to worry," Lilimon assured the reborn trainers. A hint of seriousness entered her expression. "I... will need you to help me later tonight, however."
"What do you need?" Dawn asked, a bit curious (as well as worried) as to where this could lead.
"Later tonight," Lilimon said, "We're heading to the Crimson Mirelands area. There's a Diamon Clan settlement there, and the Diamond Clan's leader, Adaman, wants my help with getting some fortifications set up around the settlement so as to keep wild Pokémon from wandering on in. Basically he's just building a tall log fence around the settlement, not unlike the walls around Jubilife Village here."
Gesturing to Lilimon, Kenny asked, "Is it really that big of a deal?"
Lilimon nodded once in the affirmative. "Even though a bit of progress has been made in the past few years, Hisui is still somewhat uncharted territory. The native wild Pokémon here will wander on in to human settlements, most likely to forage for food, and will not hesitate to get hostile if given a reason. Just... do me a favor and don't mention what Adaman's aiming to do to anyone here in Jubilife Village."
Dawn nodded. "I'll respect that you have your reasons. All I'm hoping for now is-"
"Oh, I was wondering if you could help me," Kenny said to Lilimon, "I have a Dewott that I want to evolve into Samurott, and I also have an Ursaring that I got it can evolve further."
"Your Dewott should evolve into Samurott with enough battle experience," Lilimon replied, "Although it'll most likely adapt to the harshness of Hisui and evolve into a Samurott just like mine. As for Ursaring, it can evolve further into Ursaluna, if you use a Peat Block on it at night during the full moon at Ursa's Ring in the Crimson Mirelands." Smirking a bit, Lilimon said, "Conveniently for you, tonight will be a full moon, we're going to the Crimson Mirelands at night anyway, and I have a Peat Block that I can give you so you can evolve your Ursaring."
Giving Lilimon a double thumbs up, Kenny said, "Top kek!"
Lilimon seemed a bit weirded out, but accepted it as part of Kenny's charm. At that moment, a lady came out from the mochi shop and brought a tray of potato mochi to Lilimon and the reborn trainers. She wore a white long-sleeved kimono top, red kimono leggings, and zori socks with straw sandals. She was fair skinned, with pink hair and pink eyes, although the most standout thing about the lady was how notably obese she was. Dawn estimated her to be at least somewhat heavier than Tabitha, who was clocking in at 230kg; this lady looked to be around 250kg.
"Ah, Sumomo," Lilimon greeted, "Thanks for the service." To the reborn trainers, Lilimon said, "Guys, this lady is Sumomo. She's the wife of Beni, the man who normally runs the mochi shop here."
"My husband is off on a mission at the direction of Commander Kamado," the now identified Sumomo remarked, "So I have to look after the shop myself." Putting a hand over her considerable belly, Sumomo remarked in a worried tone, "I'm afraid that I might eat more than I sell, though. I can never turn down good food, you see."
"Discipline is key here," Lilimon remarked. After the heroes ate their fill and Lilimon paid for the meal, they got up and left. "We ought to get going to the Crimson Mirelands soon," Lilimon said to the reborn trainers, "I just need to stop off to grab the Peat Block I promised Kenny, then we can get going." Dawn and the boys all gave agreeing nods, and after the last of their business in Jublife Village was handled, they took off for the Crimson Mirelands.
Later that late afternoon, Lilimon and the reborn trainers made it to the Diamond Clan settlement over in the Crimson Mirelands. Already, Dawn saw signs of a tall wooden wall being build around the settlement, but it was far from ready; it essentially looked like the skeleton of such a wall. As the heroes made their way in, they were approached by a man who Lilimon identified to the reborn trainers as Adaman, the leader of the Diamond Clan.
Adaman held up a hand in a gesture of greeting to the heroes. "I'm glad to see that you got here in a timely manner, Lilimon. You certainly aren't one to waste time."
"Hey, I was wondering something," Kenny spoke up, getting the others to all look at him, "Over at Jubilife Village, Lilimon asked us to not say anything about what's going on here to anyone in Jubilife Village. Why is that?"
"Because Kamado is a paranoid twat," Adaman scowled deadpan, "He'll automatically assume the worst in me in my wanting to build fortifications around the Diamond Clan settlement, even though it's really only meant to protect my clansmen from having our territory invaded by random wandering wild Pokémon. He might even see me trying to build these fortifications as giving him an excuse to declare war on me and my clansmen."
Trip gently shook his head. "Sounds to me like he's the kind of guy who doesn't want anyone to stand equal to him. A bully who wants everyone else to be below him just so that he can maintain what power he has, which further fuels his apparent paranoia." Folding his arms over his chest, Trip asked, "Or is my assessment a little bit too on the harsh side of things?"
Shrugging, Adaman replied, "Honestly, I feel that your assessment is actually accurate, and just a tad tamer than what is actually the case."
Lilimon nodded in agreement. "Kamado's always been like that ever since I first met him. Even after what time has passed since then, he's still a paranoid twat who always has to have tabs on and be in control of everything. Mark my words, if Kamado keeps it up, he'll one day pay the price for his paranoia."
As Adaman nodded in agreement, the reborn trainers looked surprised by the last bit that Lilimon said, as if what she said stirred some parts of their memories. Dawn was also able to pick up hints of bitter resentment in the tone Lilimon used, in the expression she wore on her face. Lilimon hid it well, at least from Adaman and the other guys, but Dawn would not have any wool pulled down over her eyes in this case. Clapping his hands together, Adaman said, "Well anyway, let's get to work on the fortifications around my clansmen's settlement. I want to get as much done as possible before-"
"Adaman!" a female Diamond Clan clansmen called out, cutting Adaman off and making him and the others turn to see the girl run up, "A horde of wild Rhyhorn has appeared and they're making their way towards the settlement! I..." Ahuddering a bit out of worry, the girl then blurted out, "...I also saw an alpha Rhydon among the horde of Rhyhorn!"
Adaman scowled in annoyance. "Of all the times for wild Pokémon to pop up to pose a threat to our settlement, they just had to-"
"We can drive them off," Dawn said, cutting Adaman off and making him and the others there turn to face her. Gesturing to herself, the boys, and Lilimon, Dawn went on, "We have Pokémon we can use to fight off the wild Rhyhorn. We should be able to take them down."
"But what about the alpha Rhydon?" asked the worried Diamond Clan girl.
Lilimon gestured to herself. "You forget who I am, and the fact that I have alpha Pokémon of my own." Lilimon then took out an old-fashioned looking pokéball that was mostly solid red. "...As well as something more."
Seeing that there were four dependable persons who could help out, Adaman nodded to give consent. "Fair enough. My clansman here will lead you to where she spotted that horde. Just drive them off and keep them from getting here, alright?" The heroes all nodded in the affirmative, then they took off with Adaman's clansman to go deal with the horde of Rhyhorn and their apparent leader the alpha Rhydon.
Within short order, the heroes were led to a somewhat wild area north of the Diamond Clan settlement. Adaman's clansman who spotted the horde earlier said, "Once we're over this hill, you'll see the horde."
Pounding a fist into his hand, Kenny said, "I'd like to see those Rhyhorn try to start any funny business." Within short order, the group made it over the hill; true to form, they spotted a large group of Rhyhorn, with a much larger than normal Rhydon in the middle. They were more or less grazing peacefully, minding their own business, but the group was slowly moving in the direction of the Diamond Clan settlement as they moved to fresher areas to graze; Lilimon estimated that the horde would reach and sub sequentially threaten the Diamond Clan settlement just before the moon started to rise for the night.
As the heroes approached the horde, one Rhyhorn spotted them cried out aggressively, then proceeded to charge straight at the heroes. This prompted some of the other Rhyhorn to do so as well when they looked over as saw why their fellow was getting antsy. Thus, Lilimon and the reborn trainers moved in to attack, with Dawn and Trip sending out their respective Gastrodons, and Kenny sending out Giyu. As for Lilimon, she kept her eyes on the alpha Rhydon as she moved in to help settle down the wild Pokémon horde.
Thanks to the type advantage, Shadow and Tsunade were taking the Rhyhorns out one by one, fighting side by side, west sea and east sea. Under Kenny's command, Giyu took out Rhyhorn after Rhyhorn after Rhyhorn, spamming Aqua Jets and Water Pulses that took advantage of Rhyhorn's times four weakness to water attacks. The reborn trainers thought that there was a moment of relief when the Rhyhorns dwindled down to a more manageable number, but more from where the horde was based came on over, clearly aiming to attack.
"There's no end to there guys, huh?" Trip said as he directed Tsunade in taking out another Rhyhorn.
Even Dawn was getting a little worried. "You're telling me," Dawn said, "At least we both have grass Pokémon we can swap in after Shadow and Tsunade both get worn out from having to-"
"RAAHHRHHUURAAHH!"
Dawn was cut off when she and the others heard a louder, deeper Rhyhorn cry sound out. Looking over, they saw that there was a larger than normal Rhyhorn coming their way, its eyes even glowing red with rage, similar to how the alpha Rhydon's eyes glowed. "...Oh fuck me," Dawn swore, "There's also an alpha Rhyhorn?" Seeing the now identified alpha Rhyhorn charging right for her and the boys, Dawn said, "We're going to have to-"
"Giyu, use Aqua Jet on that big-ass Rhyhorn!"
Dawn was cut off when Kenny's named Dewott rushed in using Aqua Jet, slamming into the alpha Rhyhorn and actually pushing it back a bit as the larger than normal Pokémon cried out a bit in pain. No doubt due to the times four weakness to water attacks. Looking over, Dawn and Trip saw Kenny take charge of the situation as Giyu seemingly flew back after ramming into the alpha Rhyhorn. "Use Water Pulse!" Kenny called out.
Giyu conjured a pulsing blast of water that he then cast at the alpha Rhyhorn, striking it again and doing more notable damage. The alpha Rhyhorn still quite wasn't down for the count, no doubt due to how being an alpha put it a cut above the rest, so it proceeded to charge right at the named Dewott with High Horsepower. However, the alpha Rhyhorn actually missed, kicking way too high and getting Giyu in a spot where he could ram up into it and knock it on its back. Kenny smirked in amusement, then called out, "Giyu, use Aqua Jet!"
Giyu became cloaked in surging water before he shot up into the alpha Rhyhorn like a bullet with the force of a cannonball, knocking the alpha Rhyhorn out and knocking it over onto its back. "Alright!" Kenny cheered, "Giyu defeated the alpha Rhyhorn! That was-" Kenny was cut off when Giyu suddenly began glowing brightly white, his form shifting and growing as he was a silhouette of white light, the form he was taking on having a familiar shape. Soon enough, the shifting and growing was done, and the glowing faded, thus revealing that Giyu had evolved into a Samurott.
...A Hisuian Samurott.
Dawn looked wryly amused by the turn of events. "...If we can get back to our own time," Dawn muttered to herself, "Imagine how Professor Juniper would react upon seeing Giyu as a-"
*THOOM*
Dawn was cut off when she and the boys heard the sound of a powerful attack going off. Looking over, the reborn trainers saw Lilimon having the Pokémon she was using pick apart the portion of the Rhyhorn horde she was dealing with, having already defeated the alpha Rhydon. However, what surprised the reborn trainers was the exact Pokémon that Lilimon was using; Dialga.
"Dialga, Earth Power," Lilimon said, pointing at one Rhyhorn which Dialga took out instantly with an Earth Power attack. Pointing at another Rhyhorn, Lilimon said, "Dialga, Ice Beam." Dialga fired an Ice Beam right at the Rhyhorn in question, and it went down as well.
As the reborn trainers watched their, their own portion of the horde dealt with already, Kenny said, "Should... should we help?"
"Nah," Dawn replied as she gently shook her head, "Lilimon's got this." Trip couldn't help but look on in wonder as a Pokémon he owned in another time was here under another's command, using moves that he was considering having Deelia learn as part of its training. Seeing a Dialga in action using those moves made Trip want all the more to have Deelia learn them. ...Assuming he could ever get back to the time he and the others came from, that is.
That night, well after the horde of wild Rhyhorn was defeated, Lilimon led the reborn trainers to Ursa's Ring. There, with the full moon shining brightly overhead, Lilimon had Kenny bring out his named Ursaring, Moista Fista. With Moista Fista standing there, Lilimon took out a Peat Block. Before moving over to Moista Fista, Lilimon asked, "Are you sure you want to evolve your Ursaring, Kenny?"
"Totally," Kenny replied. Lilimon nodded in understanding before walking up to Moista Fista and applying the Peat Block to him. After Lilimon was done in her work, Moista Fista began glowing brightly as a white silhouette, not unlike how Giyu did earlier after he defeated the alpha Rhyhorn. Moista Fista's shape shifted and grew as it went on all four paws, becoming bulkier and quadrupedal. Eventually, the glowing stopped, and it did so to show that Moista Fista had evolved into an Ursaluna.
After Kenny recalled his now Ursaluna, Lilimon proceeded to lead the reborn trainers back to the Diamond Clan settlement. "I had brought Dialga along with me on this mission to help the Diamond Clan because they revere Dialga," Lilimon explained, "Hence why I also left Dialga in the Diamond Clan settlement to keep an eye on things while we took care of evolving Kenny's Ursaring into Ursaluna. We'll stay the night in the Diamond clan settlement, then make for Jubilife village in the morning."
Eventually, the heroes got back to the Diamond clan settlement, where some of the clansmen were tending to Dialga, while the settlement as a whole seemed to be having a settlement wide party. Even Lilimon and the reborn trainers got up into it, and everyone partied until they had tired themselves out. Dawn and the boys even fell asleep, laying on the ground where they had dropped from partying.
They had dropped next to Dialga, who was also laying down. It was that legendary Pokémon who was the last in the settlement to fall asleep, the dark lines on its body glowing a sort of bright blue light as it eyed the reborn trainers before Dialga itself fell asleep.
Dawn was the first of the reborn trainers to wake up, and first saw that she was back in the sleeping bag she was in when she fell asleep at the campsite on Unovan Route 5. "...Was... was it all a dr-" Dawn began, only to stop short when, as she got out of her sleeping bag, she saw she wasn't wearing her normal outfit, which she remembered she had fallen asleep in; she was instead wearing a full Pearl Clan outfit. "BOYS, WAKE UP!" Dawn yelled at the top of her lungs, startling Kenny and Trip into waking up as well.
As they began wondering what got Dawn so alarmed, they noticed that they too weren't wearing what they fell asleep in at the Unovan Route 5 campsite. Trip was wearing the full Diamond Clan outfit, and Kenny wore the Samurott-themed fancy kimono top and bottoms plus a pair of Diamond Clan Boots. The reborn trainers checked their bags and saw, to their relief, that their normal clothes were all in their bags. "...It must not have been as much of a dream as I had first thought," Dawn remarked, now fully awake due to the implications of what happened.
Looking around, Trip saw that Deelia was laying where it was when they all fell asleep at the Unovan Route 5 campsite, and further checking showed that AkiBot 966 was back to where Trip remembered it being. Dawn saw that she still had Zancrow, and Kenny upon realizing that Lin, Kyo, Mina, and Majora were all back called all of them out and gathered them into a big ol' hug. "My little buddies!" Kenny cheered with tears in his eyes, "You're all back!" Taking out the pokéballs that held Giyu and Moista Fista, Kenny tossed them up while saying, "Giyu, Moista Fista, the little buddies are all-"
Kenny stopped short when, upon him and the others seeing Giyu and Moista Fista come out, saw that they were a Hisuian Samurott and an Ursaluna respectively. "...Well now," Dawn said, "That's interesting." Trip turned his head to where Deelia was now getting up from where it was laying down. The sandy blonde haired boy couldn't help but think that the named Dialga must of had at least something to do with their adventure last night, but that's not here or there, as the reborn trainers had to get everything packed up, change into their normal clothes, then get going towards Driftveil Drawbridge.
They had their journey through Unova to continue, after all.
END, CHAPTER ONE-HUNDRED AND EIGHTEEN
Author's notes;
This chapter was another long one, but it was necessary so as to build upon the instances of Hisuian history exhibits in the museums Dawn and the others have gone to, as well as make a reference to the book 'Paranoia's Price' that Dawn got a while ago. The reborn trainers somehow get to go to Hisui, meet the girl who wrote the aforementioned book, and help out with a mission in the setting; Kenny is also able to evolve some of his Pokémon into forms normally not available. Then the reborn trainers wake up, see signs that their dreams weren't exactly actual dreams, then decide to figure things there out later so they could continue their journey.
