Episode 39: New Elekid On the Block
We have a look at Odaiba City as some Rattata and Raticate are in the trash cans. They're met with a pack of Meowth. Leading the pack is a Persian. The cat-like Pokémon's eyes glimmered as it got ready to pounce at the Mouse Pokémon.
The cat Pokémon launched at the Mouse Pokémon, making them brawl.
Walking down the alley is a yellow, round-bodied Pokémon with black stripes. Its arms are bulky in proportion to its body, and it has three claws instead of fingers. It has two stripes on its arms, which wrap all the way around. There are two horns on top of its head which resemble the prongs of a plug, complete with holes in their sides. It has a black lightning bolt marking on its chest. Two rows of stripes are near the marking, with the pattern continuing around its lower back. Its legs are black, and its feet are rounded and toeless. This Pokémon is known as Elekid. Elekid starts swinging its arms around, building up electricity. Elekid fires a stream of electricity at the cat Pokémon, shocking them. The Meowth starts fleeing, but Persian stayed behind and came right at Elekid. The yellow Pokémon responds by dashing at the pack leader.
Outside of the alley, a very tall man with short brown hair, narrow eyes, and an often disheveled appearance came walking by. He wore a bluish-white, brown pants, and black shoes, and a dark blue tie. He also has brown hair and black eyes. He sees the Meowth running out. He peeks at the brawl between Elekid and Persian.
"At it again?" The man asked.
Persian came at Elekid with its claw emitting a shadowy aura and swiped at Elekid. Elekid hits a trash can, but gets back up, swinging its arms around and around. Elekid keeps on spinning them as electricity begins to build up. Before Persian could slash at Elekid, it ducked and gave Persian a Thunder Punch in the face and then grabbed Persian and tossed it around. It was Seismic Toss. Persian hits the trash cans and took off running. Elekid dusted its hands and walked off before the Rattata and Raticate could properly thank Elekid for the help.
A few days later, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel said their goodbyes to Riku, Naminé, and Eevee for now and continued on their way. They decided to pass through Odaiba City and head up north. Sora exchanged Onix for Abra.
"Back in Odaiba City again," Kairi said.
"Maybe we should say hi to Tai and Kari while we're here," Sora said.
"Good idea. And the others as well," Kairi said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Vee," Angel said.
"Things should he peaceful ever since all those Koffing are gone," Kairi said.
"Yeah, it should be," Sora said. "Let's head for the Pokémon Center to have our Pokémon rest up," Sora said.
"Sure," Kairi said.
The human and Pokémon couples started to head for the Pokémon Center, not noticing the Elekid fighting off the cat Pokémon in the alley walking by from behind.
They all arrived and Nurse Joy greeted them with a smile.
"Welcome back, you two. I trust your Gym battle with the Fushia City Gym Leader went well," Nurse Joy said.
"Well, it was more challenging than I thought, but I managed to earn a Gym Badge from it," Sora said, showing her his Badges.
"Quite impressive. You raised your Pokémon well to earn a Badge from there," Nurse Joy said.
"Thanks," Sora said.
Walking in, there is Matt and TK walking in. They walked up to Nurse Joy at the counter. They spotted Sora and Kairi standing at the counter.
"Sora, Kairi, hey," Matt greeted.
"What happened to Sora 2?" Sora asked.
"That only applies when our Sora is around," Matt said.
"What brings you two back here so soon?" TK asked.
"Just passing by after Sora won the Soul Badge from Koga," Kairi said.
"The Soul Badge? You're even better than I thought," TK said.
"Matt, TK, your parents' Pokémon are ready to be picked up," Nurse Joy said.
"Thanks," TK said, taking some Pokéballs from Nurse Joy.
"See ya again soon," Matt said, taking the Pokéballs and stepped out. Nurse Joy couldn't help but smile.
"It's good to see two brothers bonding like this; especially after they split up," Nurse Joy said. Sora and Kairi looked at the Pokémon nurse.
"What do you mean?" Sora asked.
"I've known those two ever since they were very little. Their parents went through a divorce after a series of arguments. One argument I broke up, because it was drawing in a crowd. It's incredibly sad, because they were good for each other, even though they had their disagreements. TK was too young to remember, but poor Matt took it the heaviest," Nurse Joy explained. The couple understood the situation greatly.
"Man, that sounds harsh for them," Sora said.
"It sure is," Kairi agreed.
"But that does explain why they have two different last names even though they're brothers," Sora said.
"They lived in two different places, so they didn't get to see each other as much as they'd like, but they're making an effort to get along mostly for their sake; so now they're seeing each other pretty often until TK and his mother moved in town," Nurse Joy said.
"I'm surprised they didn't remarry," Sora said. Nurse Joy giggled.
"I thought the same thing," Nurse Joy said. "Now, if you excuse me, I'll give your Pokémon a checkup." She took their Pokéballs to the back.
Just then, a man with a Meowth that has a shaggy, greyish-brown coat resembling a beard, as well as yellow eyes and a toothy grin. Its coin is black and extremely hard. This is a Galarian Meowth.
"Hello there," the man greeted.
"Meowth," the Galarian Meowth also greeted.
"Is that a Meowth?" Sora asked.
"A Meowth from the Galar region, same as me," the man said. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned the Pokémon.
Meowth Galarian Form, the Scratch Cat Pokémon
Type: Steel
It is said that Meowth has turned into the Pokémon we see now because they have lived with vikings out in sea in the old days of Galar. Galarian Meowth can be quite hostile towards Kantonian Meowth.
"I would like to see how Team Rocket's Meowth would react when meeting this kind of Meowth," Sora said, putting his Pokédex away.
Over to Team Rocket, Meowth gave off a sneeze.
"Somebody is talking about me, I just know it!" Meowth said.
"You're being paranoid, Meowth," Jessie said.
"He must have landed on his head harder than I thought," James said.
"I know someone is talking about me! I feel it in my gut!" Meowth said.
Back in Odaiba City, Sora and Kairi had picked up their Pokémon as the man has challenged Sora and Kairi to a double battle.
The man has sent out his Galarian Meowth and a Farfetch'd, but it's darker brown feathers and carries a larger leek. It also has a more serious expression.
"A Farfetch'd, huh?" Kairi asked, taking out her Pokédex and scanned it.
Farfetch'd Galar form, the Wild Duck Pokémon
Type: Fighting
The stalks of leeks are thicker and longer in the Galar region. Farfetch'd that adapted to these stalks took on a unique form.
"Really unique," Kairi said, putting her Pokédex away. She took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Okay, let's go, Jigglypuff!" Her Pokéball opened and Jigglypuff emerged from inside.
"Puff," Jigglypuff said. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Magby!" Sora called out. Magby came on out to battle along with Jigglypuff.
"This should be interesting. A Fire-type against my Meowth, and a Fairy-type against my Farfetch'd. This should be interesting. Farfetch'd! Use Night Slash on Magby! Meowth! Use Metal Claw on Jigglypuff!" The man ordered. The Galarian Farfetch'd swings its leek, sending multiple light blue blades of energy from it at Magby. The Galarian Meowth came with its claws out, giving off a metallic glow.
"Magby! Dodge and use Ember on Meowth!" Sora ordered.
"Jigglypuff! You dodge and use Disarming Voice on Farfetch'd!" Kairi ordered.
Magby dodged and fired Ember at the Galarian Meowth, landing a hit. Jigglypuff dodged and opens her mouth and releases a beam of pink soundwaves surrounded by hearts and musical notes from it at both opponents.
"Meowth! Use Iron Tail on Jigglypuff! Farfetch'd! Use Brutal Swing!" The man ordered. The Galarian Meowth swings its tail at Jigglypuff, dealing some damage. The Galarian Farfetch'd's leek glows pink and it swings the leek around, striking both Pokémon in the process. Magby and Jigglypuff fell right on the ground.
While the battle has been going on, a crowd gathers around. The man who witnessed the battle with Elekid and the cat Pokémon is among the spectators.
Also among the spectators, is a man with dark green hair and wore a pair of glasses. He wore a salmon-colored shirt and gray pants with a brown belt, and brown shoes. With him is a woman with reddish-violet hair and she wore a light green shirt, violet long skirt, and yellow shoes. She wore a yellow apron.
There is a woman with brown eyes and long black hair, which is tied in the back. She wears a purple shirt with elbow-length sleeves, yellow knee-length pants, and orange sandals.
There is also a couple watching as well. One is a man wearing a blue shirt with a white chest, and gray pants. With him is a woman that resembles Mimi. She had orange hair and she wore a white dress under a pink apron, and wore white heels.
There are also a couple, each wearing a pair of glasses. The man has a small resemblance to Joe, but he has short hair, and he wore a yellow shirt and brownish green pants. He also wore black shoes. The woman has long brown hair and she wore a yellow shirt and a dark green skirt.
Susumu, Yuuko, and Nancy are among the people watching.
There are also two girls watching the battle going on. One of them is a girl with lavender hair that appears to be almost as spikey as Tai's wearing a pink shirt, yellow pants, white shoes and white long socks was walking by when she heard something coming.
The other is a girl with brown hair with green hairpins on her right side. She has amber eyes and a pair of glasses. She wore a dark pink shirt and blue pants. She wore a blue bracelet and gray shoes with light gray soles.
There was another couple there. One of them has tan skin, and has brown hair. He wore a black shirt and gray pants. There is also a woman who wore a white shirt and pink pants. She has short brown hair.
There is also a woman with black hair down to her shoulders, and green eyes. She wore an olive green shirt and a white skirt. She wore purple sandals.
There is also another couple present there. She has dark red hair and she wore pink glasses. With her is a man with brown hair and a brown goatee. He has a pair of tan glasses on. They both wore grocer outfits.
There is also a man wearing a black business suit, and he has black curly hair. With him is a woman with brown hair that curled at the end.
Susumu, Yuuko, and Nancy are among the people watching.
"Is that him right there?" Nancy asked.
"Yes, it is. That's the kid who caught the leader of all those Koffing causing trouble," Susumu said. Nancy looked at them and right at Pikachu and Angel. She knew there is a connection to the description of the kids who foiled Team Rocket.
"Okay, let's give this a shot! Jigglypuff! Use Sing!" Kairi ordered. Jigglypuff releases colored musical notes from its mouth when it sings. When the music notes hit the Galarian form Pokémon, making them fall asleep.
"Maby, use Fire Punch!" Sora ordered. Magby lands a fiery punch on the Galarian Scratch Cat Pokémon. This wakes the Galarian Meowth up and growled in anger.
"Use Slash on that Magby!" The man ordered. The Galarian Meowth came right at Magby.
"Use Smokescreen!" Sora ordered. Magby huffed and releases a thick black smoke from his mouth. The Galarian Meowth slashed the smoke, missing Magby completely. The smoke cleared, and everyone saw the Live Coal Pokémon behind it. The Galarian Farfetch'd woke up.
"Farfetch'd! Use Brutal Swing!" The man ordered. The Galarian Farfecth'd came right at the opposing Pokémon with Brutal Swing.
"Jigglypuff! Use Double Slap!" Kairi ordered. Jigglypuff gave the Galarian Farfetch'd a couple of slaps in the face. "Finish up with Body Slam!" Jigglypuff slammed her body onto the Galarian Wild Duck Pokémon, resulting in a knockout.
"Magby! Use Fire Punch!" Sora ordered. Magby lands a Fire Punch onto the Galarian Meowth, resulting in a knockout as well. Sora and Kairi both have won. The man called back his two Pokémon and smiled.
"That was a great battle," the man said. He walked up to the couple and he shook their hands. "You raised your Pokémon well."
"Thanks," Sora said. "This actually Magby's very first battle."
"You could have fooled me," the man said. "The way your Magby battled, I can tell your Magby has a bright future." The man took out what looks like a red box with a hole in the center. "Take this." Sora took it.
"What's this?" Sora asked.
"That's a Magmarizer. You can use it to make Magmar evolve into a Magmortar after your Magby evolves into a Magmar," the man said.
"Thanks," Sora said, putting it in his backpack.
After the battle, Magby and Jigglypuff were eating happily.
"Eat as much as you want, you two," Kairi said.
Just then, the two girls from before approached the couple.
"Hey, you're those kids in that battle," the first girl said. "That was an awesome battle."
"We were really impressed," the second girl said.
"Thank you," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Jigglypuff," Jigglypuff said.
"I was wondering if we could have an autograph," The first girl said, taking out a pad of paper and a pen.
"Do it. It might shut her up for a while," the second girl said.
"Um, sure," Sora said, taking the pen. "And whom are we making it out to?"
"I'm Jun Motomiya," Jun said.
"Motomiya? Aren't you Davis's sister?" Kairi asked.
"That's right," Jun said. "How do you know Davis?"
"We met him when we were here the last time," Kairi said. "Along with his other friends." Sora hands the marker to Kairi and she signed it.
"And you would be?" Sora asked.
"I'm Momoe Inoue," Momoe said. "You know, my sister Yolei told me about you."
"You're Yolei's sister?" Sora asked.
"Yes, I am," Momoe said. "She told me about how your Charmander battled against Tai's Charmeleon, Flame, and it ended in a draw. Come to think of it, you were the one who caught one of the troublemaking Koffing, making the others flee." Sora chuckled nervously.
"It was nothing," Sora said.
"It's something. All those Koffing still would have caused trouble for us if you haven't shown up," Momoe said.
"She's right, Sora. They would have," Kairi said.
Meanwhile, Elekid is walking down the streets and jumped right up to one of the balconies. That's when an elderly woman stepped out.
"Oh, it's you again, dear. I hope you had a fine day," the elderly woman said with a smile. Elekid nodded. Just then, a flock of Spearow came flying down. This frightened her, but Elekid fought back with a Thunder Shock, scaring the Spearow away. "Oh my, thank you for your help, Elekid. Those awful Spearow have been causing me trouble." Elekid smiled and took off again.
Unknown to Elekid, it was being watched. It being watched by a pair of Meowth, and they growled to each other and went back to inform their leader.
Meanwhile, Persian was still steamed about being beaten by Elekid in a battle. Persian wanted to sharpen its claws on the Electric-type Pokémon badly. It practices with a plush Elekid toy.
One of the Meowth came in and stood before Persian.
"This better be important." - Persian subtitle.
"We found the Elekid causing us trouble. He's moving around." - Meowth subtitle.
"Moving where?" - Persian subtitle.
"Heading north." - Meowth subtitle.
"That's where we will go." - Persian subtitle.
Persian and the rest of the Meowth pack started to make their way north to where Elekid is heading.
Over to Elekid, he has made it to the park. Elekid met up with some of the local kids. The kids loved it when Elekid showed up. Elekid would swing off the monkey bars. It always made the kids laugh.
Not too far, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel have met up with Tai and Kari.
"Sora, Matt and TK did mention you were back in town," Kari said.
"Good to see you again, Kari," Kairi said.
"You too, Tai," Sora said.
"I was actually looking forward to see you again, Ketchum. It makes me wanna have a rematch with you," Tai said.
"Sure. Anytime, Tai," Sora said. Just when they were taking off, they saw Elekid swinging on the monkey bars. "Hey, is that a Pokémon?" He took out his Pokédex and scanned him.
Elekid, the Electric Pokémon
Type: Electric
To generate the electricity in its body, Elekid spins its arms around. But it is unable to store the energy it makes.
"Not really surprising that little guy would come here," Tai said. Sora and Kairi looked at Tai and Kari.
"You know that Elekid?" Kairi asked.
"Pretty much, everyone knows that Elekid," Kari said. "That Elekid is actually a wild Pokémon who wondered in here in the city. Ever since Elekid has been here, he's been helping the people and Pokémon living here."
"Helping?" Sora asked.
"That Elekid would often get into some fights with the Pokémon around here. But only of they didn't stay in line. I heard that he's been fighting off a pack of Meowth led by a Persian. Sometimes they would attack the other Pokémon with no apparent reason. It also helps people from being attacked by some other Pokémon. He even helped fend off the Koffing that came here," Tai explained. Sora and Kairi were moved by Elekid's acts of good deeds.
Right out of the blue, a Beedrill came buzzing at the kids. Sora was about to send out either Magby or Charmander to help, but Tai stopped him by touching his arm.
"What are you doing?" Sora asked.
"Just watch and see," Tai said.
Elekid jumped at the attacking Beedrill and grabbed it. Elekid gave a spin and threw Beedrill down on the ground.
"That was Seismic Toss!" Kairi said.
Elekid then gave Beedrill a electrified punch in the thorax, making it fly away, whimpering in pain. Sora and Kairi saw what they meant.
"That's a strong Elekid," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"He sure is. Sometimes the Pokémon all learn their lesson, but the only exception is the pack of Meowth," Kari said.
"Didn't he have a Trainer before he came here?" Kairi asked.
"I don't think so, but I heard Elekid has been doing some special training to get his strength up," Kairi said.
Sora looked at Elekid and he has gained respect for the Electric Pokémon.
Not too long, Sora Kairi, Tai, Kari, Pikachu, and Angel are met up by the rest of their friends.
"Sora 2, Kairi. Glad you could make it here again," Sora T said.
"Same here," Sora said.
"How'd your Gym battle go?" Davis asked.
"It was kinda hard when Koga gave it to me big, but I managed to pull through in the end," Sora said.
"I take it that you're heading for Saffron City next?" Izzy asked.
"That's right. And that's where we're heading when we bumped into Matt and TK in the Pokémon Center. And we also met Davis and Yolei's older sisters," Sora said. Davis huffed.
"You met Jun?" Davis asked.
"And which one of my sisters did you meet?" Yolei asked.
"Um, I'm not sure, but she said her name's Momoe," Sora said.
"Momoe is the oldest of us four; I'm the youngest," Yolei explained.
"Oh, okay," Sora said, scratching the back of his head.
A little later, Sora and Kairi have let out Charmander, Magby, Machop, Mime Jr, Abra, Raichu, Ponyta, Gloom, Jigglypuff, and Poliwag as they could get some fresh air. That was when Elekid shown up.
"Hey there, Elekid. Good of you to join us," Cody said.
"Elekid," Elekid said.
"We've heard so much about you," Sora said. Elekid looked right at Sora. "It's nice to meet you." Sora smiled at the Electric Pokémon. Elekid smiled back.
Kairi made a bowl of Pokémon food for Elekid to enjoyed the food provided to him. Elekid even hit it off with Magby. Both Pokémon became fast friends.
"Magby, Magby!" Magby said.
"You like your new friend, Magby?" Sora asked.
"By!" Magby said.
"I'm glad," Sora said.
"Gotta hand it to you, the Pokémon food you make is a hit," Joe said. "Very healthy."
"Well, it's important to keep tabs on their diet and health," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
Persian and its pack have eventually tracked down Elekid and sprung their attack on the Electric Pokémon.
"It's them! It's the Meowth pack!" Davis said.
"And that Persian!" Cody added. Sora looked at Persian and scanned it.
Persian, the Classy Cat Pokémon
The evolved form of Meowth
Type: Normal
Persian is quite popular with the rich. Persian's limber muscles allows it to sneak up behind an unsuspecting target with lightning speed.
"This Persian reminds me of the one Giovanni has," Sora said in his thoughts. Elekid glares at Persian and it stares back at Elekid. The Meowth pack growls and hisses at Elekid. Just then, Magby gets in front of Elekid as did the other Pokémon.
"It looks like they're going to battle alongside Elekid," Sora T said.
"Looks that way. He can't deal with all those Meowth alone," TK said. Persian meows and the Meowth all charged at the Pokémon. Machop gave the Meowth a toss as Abra uses his psychic powers to hurl them back. Pikachu and Raichu shocked them as Angel fired Swift. Ponyta then gave them a buck as Mime Jr and Jigglypuff gave one some slaps in the face. Charmander fired Flamethrower as Magby gave them Fire Punch. Poliwag then squirts water as Gloom fired Razor Leaf.
Elekid and Persian stood across from each other and glared at each other.
"You got in my way for the last time, you yellow runt." - Persian subtitle.
"It's because Pokémon like you keep attacking Pokémon and humans weaker than you are. You never learn your lesson!" - Elekid subtitle.
"Just teaching weaker Pokémon that this city is not for them, it's for us. It's been like this until you came along and ruined everything for us!" - Persian subtitle.
"I can't stand the fact you think you can get away with it and do whatever you want! That cannot be allowed!" - Elekid said. Elekid starts to spin his arms around, building up electricity. Persian readied its claws and came at him. Elekid gave Persian a charge on the spot. They fought on.
The Meowth have been dealt with, so they've fled the scene. Pikachu, Angel, and the other Pokémon watched the battle between Elekid and Persian. Magby was about to join in, but Pikachu stopped him.
"This is Elekid's battle, Magby." - Pikachu subtitle.
Persian gave Elekid some slashes, but Elekid fought back with some Thunder Punches. Persian gave Elekid a slash, sending Elekid back. Persian came running towards Elekid, but he have him a hurl backwards and struck a trash can. Persian gave off a roar and came running towards Elekid with a shadowy aura surrounding its claw.
"Persian is using Shadow Claw!" Izzy exclaimed. Just before Persian could land a hit, Magby gave Persian a Fire Punch, knocking it down. Persian struggled to stand back up and glared at Magby. Persian lunged at Magby, but Elekid tackled Persian down. Elekid gave Persian a Thunder Shock as Magby gave it an Ember. Both attacks struck the Classy Cat Pokémon. Persian was refusing to stay down when a slightly humanoid Pokémon with a few feline traits knocked Persian aside. It has antennae with bulbous tips where its ears should be, two long tufts of fur on top of its head, small eyes, and two large fangs in its upper jaw. It is covered in yellow fur with many black stripes. There is a large, lightning bolt-shaped stripe on its chest, a V-shaped stripe on its forehead, one stripe on its side, a thick stripe down its back, two bands on each leg, several broken bands on each arm, and many rings around its long tail. There are three clawed toes on each of its feet, two in front and one in back, and five fingers on each hand. This Pokémon is known as an Electabuzz. Matt and TK knew this Electabuzz well.
"Baaragh!" Electabuzz roared.
"Electabuzz! Use Brick Break!" A man's voice ordered. Electabuzz gave Persian a strong chop, sending the Classy Cat Pokémon flying. Persian lands right on a passing boat, knocked out by Electabuzz's attack.
"That was unexpected," Sora said.
Just then, the man from before walked up and he smiled.
"Great work, Electabuzz," the man said.
"Ba," Electabuzz said.
"Dad?" Matt asked.
"Dad?" Sora and Kairi asked.
"Hey, kids. I was just in the area, so I dropped in," the man said. He spots Sora and Kairi. "Wait, I know you two. You were having that battle from earlier."
"You're Matt and TK's dad, right?" Sora asked.
"You're the ones Matt told me about, aren't you? The one with the Pikachu and Eevee. And the same kid who caught that one Koffing," the man said.
"Sora 2, Kairi, this is our dad, Hiroaki Ishida," TK introduced.
"Um, it's nice to meet you, sir," Kairi said.
"Likewise," Hiroaki said.
"Anyway, thanks for the save," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Anyway, there's a reason for why I'm here. You don't mind if you would come along, right?" Hiroaki asked.
"No, Mr. Ishida," Sora said.
With that said, they sat before the other people from before, including Jun and Momoe. With Momoe is a girl with short blonde hair and glasses. There is a boy with dark blonde hair and wore a pair of glasses. The girl is Chizuru Inoue and the boy is Mantarou Inoue, Yolei's brother and sister.
There was also, Yuuko, Susumu Kamiya, Nancy Takaishi, Toshiko Takenouchi (Sora T's mother), Keisuke and Satoe Tachikawa (Mimi's parents), Masami and Kae Izumi (Izzy's parents), Junya and Hitomi Kido (Joe's parents), Takashi and Megumi Motomiya (Davis and Jun's parents), Akira and Ema Inoue (Yolei's parents), Fumiko Hida (Cody's mother), and Masafumi and Asako Ichijouji (Ken's parents).
Sitting in the room is a bald-headed elderly man with gray eyebrows and mustache. This man is Chikara Hida (Cody's grandfather). He observed Sora and Kairi closely.
"Hard to believe that's the same kid who caught that one Koffing a while back," Takashi said.
"I was expecting him to be a little older," Megumi said.
"And his hair not as spiky," Junya said.
"Nancy, we have we gathered here?" Hitomi asked.
"Because I finally figured out something about these two. You know about the Team Rocket activities in Celadon City and Lavender Town, and witnesses say that they are the ones involved," Nancy said.
The parents all looked at the couple.
"Well, yeah, we did have something to do with foiling Team Rocket. Those guys were asking for it," Sora said. "It wasn't even the first time dealing with them."
"Right. We dealt with some on Mount Moon and in Cerulean City," Kairi said.
"Not to mention, the Moron Trio," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu deadpanned.
"Eevee," Angel also deadpanned.
"How did you end up getting invovled?" Masami asked.
Sora and Kairi explained about their involvement, leaving out the Heartless.
"So that's it," Masafumi said.
"I thought that story about a ghost was just a made-up story," Asako said.
"Yeah. We got the Silph Scope from Giovanni and he fled the scene," Sora said.
"Wow. You have to be better than we thought since battling Team Rocket's boss," Masami said.
"We had to put a stop to them to save Mr. Fuji," Sora said.
"That's right. You did. And if it weren't for you, Team Rocket would have still occupy the Pokémon Tower and the ghost would have still haunted the place," Hiroaki said.
Elekid was listening to them and saw how amazing Sora was. Elekid tapped on Sora's wrist. He turned to see Elekid, looking at him.
"Ee, Elekid, kid, kid, Elekid," Elekid said.
"Elekid?" Sora asked.
"I think I understand what Elekid is trying to tell you," Chikara said. Cody looked right at him.
"Grandpa?" Cody asked.
"It seems after listening to your tale of bravery, Elekid wants to join you in your quest," Chikara said. "So, he has chosen you to be his Trainer." Sora looked at Elekid.
"Is that what you want, Elekid?" Sora asked. Elekid nodded. Sora understood and he also nodded. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it up in the air. Elekid jumped and tapped the button. Elekid flows inside and stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Elekid with him. He chose to keep Elekid in exchange for Mime Jr. He lets Elekid out of the Pokéball. "Take a good look, Elekid. They're all counting on you to do your part to do the right thing."
A little later, Kae hands Elekid a small box.
"Here's some pbj sandwiches for you, Elekid. I made them with the jam you love; made from Grepa Berries," Kae said. Elekid smiled and accepted the box.
"Promise you'll take good care of Elekid for us, won't you?" Yuuko asked.
"Don't worry. I promise you all, I'll take good care of Elekid and train him to be the strongest he can be. And you guys can always visit him at Professor Oak's lab if you like," Sora said.
"We'll try to find the time," Nancy said.
With that said, Elekid waved goodbye to the people and Pokémon it helped during his stay, and wished him luck.
With that said, they headed north towards Saffron City. Let's hope for the future for this little Pokémon ahead of time.
