Episode 42: Sora and Kairi's Eeveelution Adventure
A couple of days have passed since Charmander evolved into a Charmeleon, and they dealt with Damian again. Sora and Kairi kept their eyes opened for any signs of the Heartless, but there haven't been any so far.
Sora exchanged Elekid and Magby for the Nidoran. Kairi and Angel sat and watched Sora and his Pokémon train hard.
"Okay, use Double Kick!" Sora ordered. The Nidoran gave the rock a couple of kicks. "That's great! Use Horn Attack!" The male Nidoran rammed into the rock, shattering the rock into pieces. "Use Fury Swipes!" The female Nidoran slashed the leaves falling from the nearby tree.
Just as the Pokémon were training, a grapple heads towards Pikachu, but Sora summoned his Keyblade, but he slashed the grapple into pieces.
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
Team Rocket came riding in their balloon.
"Prepare for trouble!"
"And make it double!"
"Not again," Sora deadpanned.
"Pikachu," Pikachu also deadpanned.
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all peoples within our nation!"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!"
"Surrender now, or prepare to fight!"
"Meowth! That's right!"
"Mime, Mime, Mime!"
"How many times are we gonna go over this?" Sora asked annoyed.
"As many times as we like," James said.
"Now just hand over Pikachu like a good little brat," Jessie said.
"When will you learn?" Sora asked. "Everytime we danced, you get dipped."
"Pika," Pikachu nodded in agreement.
"The scoreboard is one-sided," Jessie admitted.
"But this time we will be the winners," James said.
"Now that you're alone, we will have the upper hand!" Jessie said as she and James took out their Pokéballs and tossed them. "Arbok! Go!" Her Pokéball opened and Arbok emerged from inside.
"Cha-bok!" Arbok hissed.
"Go! Weepinbell!" James called out, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. His Weepinbell emerged from inside.
"Nidoran Male! You use Horn Attack!" Sora ordered as the male Nidoran struck at Arbok with his horn.
"Weepinbell! Vine Whip attack!" James ordered as Weepinbell swung at its opponents.
"Nidoran Female! You use Fury Swipes!" Sora ordered as the female Nidoran swiped at Victreebel. "Great! Nidoran Male! Try using Drill Run!" The male Nidoran ran fast and spins into a rapid circle hitting Arbok right on the money. "Nidoran Female! Try Bite!" The Female Nidoran leapt at Weepinbell and lands a good string bite on the Flycathcer Pokémon. "Both Nidoran! Double Kick!" The Nidoran gave Arbok and Weepinbell an incredible kick sending them right back at Team Rocket. Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Okay! Poliwag!" Kairi called out. "Okay Poliwag! Water Gun!" Kairi ordered. Poliwag fired Water Gun at Team Rocket. "Your turn, Sora!"
"Right! Okay, Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered.
"Pika!" Pikachu nodded and jumped in the air. "PikaCHU!" Pikachu fired Thunderbolt right at Team Rocket giving them an extra charge since being wet. The balloon explodes and sends them flying in the air.
"It looks like our surprise attack was all wet," James groaned.
"Just like we are," Meowth added.
"It's just not fair!" Jessie exclaimed.
"IT LOOKS LIKE TEAM ROCKET'S BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Team Rocket shouted as a star twinkles in the distance.
"Thanks for the exercise, Team Rocket!" Sora called out. "That was actually a workout!" Sora looked to his team. "Great job, guys." Sora smiled as his two Nidoran kissed each other and started to evolve. "Whoa!" Sora was surprised to watch them evolve at once. Both his Nidoran were now Nidorina and Nidorino. "That's great you two!" Sora hugged his newly evolved Pokémon. "You two love birds evolved at once!"
"Congratulations, you two!" Kairi said. Nidorino and Nidorina nuzzle each other.
The evolved forms of Eevee have caught up with them at last and they decided to get their attention again.
After a while, Sora exchanged Nidorino and Nidorina for Gastly and Machop. Bulbasaur, Charmeleon, Squirtle, Gastly and Machop were sparring with each other.
"Okay, Gastly! Use Night Shade! Squirtle! Use Water Gun!" Sora ordered. Gastly and Squirtle fired their attacks at each other. "Great! Machop! Use Karate Chop! Charmeleon! Use Slash!" Machop and Charmeleon use their moves on each other. "Pikachu! Thunderbolt! Bulbasaur! Vine Whip!" Pikachu fired Thunderbolt right at Bulbasaur, and he sends out Vine Whip at the Mouse Pokémon. "Keep it up, guys!" As they trained hard, Gastly and Machop started to evolve right at the same time. Gastly is now a Haunter and Machop is a Machoke. "Wow, two more evolutions at once. Congrats, guys."
A little later, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel have went to pick some berries. Jolteon eyes Kairi and makes a move. Jolteon jumped right before Kairi and Angel.
"A Jolteon," Kairi said. She took out her Pokédex and scanned it.
Jolteon, the Lightning Pokémon
An evolved form of Eevee
Type: Electric
It controls 10,000-volt power. When the fur covering its body stands on end, the fur is hard and sharp, like needles.
"Wow, that's one of the forms you would evolve into," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
Jolteon started with a Thunder Shock attack. Angel dodges and glared at Jolteon. Jolteon then fires multiple light purple needles from its body. Angel dodges.
"Thunder Shock and Pin Missile. Angel! Use Quick Attack!" Kairi ordered. Angel ran towards Jolteon and lands a hit. Jolteon then came at Angel with electricity emitting from its mouth. "Dodge that Thunder Fang and use Headbutt!" Angel manages to dodge and headbutts Jolteon on the spot. Jolteon fell backwards. Jolteon fired Pin Missile again. Angel is struck by the pins. "Angel! Use Swift!" Angel fired Swift and pushes Jolteon's attack, and lands a hit. "Use Quick Attack!" Angel came at Jolteon with Quick Attack, and Jolteon came at Angel with Quick Attack as well. "Use Iron Tail!" Angel swings her tail and lands a hit onto Jolteon. Jolteon lands on the ground, but it was amazed by Kairi's skills, so he saw no point in battling anymore, so he fell back on the ground. Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it at Jolteon. The Lightning Pokémon flows inside. The Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Kairi's Pokémon Box goes off asking her if she wants to keep Jolteon with her. She chose to send Jolteon to Professor Oak's lab. "I got myself a Jolteon."
"Eevee, vee," Angel said. Kairi took out an Oran Berry and fed it to Angel.
"That should heal you up, Angel," Kairi said.
Over to Sora and Pikachu, he was polishing his Pokéballs when he was approached by Espeon and Umbreon. "Whoa! Espeon and Umbreon?!" He took out his Pokédex and scanned them both.
Espeon, the Sun Pokémon
An evolved form of Eevee
Type: Psychic
Its fur has the look and feel of velvet. The orb on its forehead glows when it uses psychic power.
Umbreon, the Moonlight Pokémon
An evolved form of Eevee
Type: Dark
When exposed to the moon's aura, the rings on its body glow faintly and it's filled with a mysterious power.
"Wow, two evolved forms of Eevee. Angel would love to meet you two," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
Espeon and Umbreon gestures Sora and Pikachu to follow them.
"Wait, where are you going?" Sora asked. Sora and Pikachu started to follow the both of them.
Back with Kairi and Angel, they made a stop at a pond. Kairi has let out her Poliwag to play. A few moments later, Poliwag emerged from the water and has a dark yellow rock shaped like a crown.
"A King's Rock. Sora would like to have that," Kairi said. She attempts to take it from Poliwag, but he placed his tail on the rock, refusing to part with it. "Or you can keep it. Besides, it looks good on you."
"Poliwag," Poliwag beamed.
Right in the water, Vaporeon emerged from the water and swims towards Kairi, Angel, and Poliwag. Vaporeon jumped out and fired a Water Gun at them. Poliwag jumped in front of Kairi and Angel. Poliwag absorbed the water attack.
"Good block, Poliwag," Kairi said. She saw Vaporeon in front of them. "A Vaporeon!" She took out her Pokédex and scanned it.
Vaporeon, the Bubble Jet Pokémon
An evolved form of Eevee
Type: Water
Tests show that its cells closely resemble water molecules, which perhaps explains its ability to conceal its form while submerged. It is believed the origins of mermaid folklore lie with this Pokémon.
"Another evolved form of Eevee," Kairi said turned to Angel. "You up for it, Angel?"
"Vee," Angel nodded.
"Okay, go for it, Angel!" Kairi said. Angel stepped right in to battle against Vaporeon. "Angel! Use Quick Attack!" Angel dashed at Vaporeon, so Vaporeon dashed at Angel with Quick Attack. Vaporeon then swings its tail at Angel with water emitting from it. "Use Iron Tail!" Angel swings her tail and blocked it, but Vaporeon overpowered Angel. Vaporeon then fired Water Gun at Angel, and she gets hit hard. Angel is soaked to the bone. Angel shakes her body dry. Vaporeon came at Angel again. "Dodge and use Headbutt!" Angel lands a headbutt onto Vaporeon. The Bubble Jet Pokémon and it smiled. Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it at Vaporeon. Vaporeon flows inside the Pokéball. The Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball confirming the catch. Kairi's Pokémon Box goes off asking her if she wants to keep Vaporeon with her. She chose to send Vaporeon to Professor Oak's lab. "Good work, Angel!"
"Eevee, vee!" Angel said.
Back with Team Rocket, they make a crash landing in a river.
"Can't believe we're now floating down the river," James said.
"I hope we don't head towards a waterfall," Meowth said. His human colleagues flinched.
"Think again," Jessie said.
They screamed as they go down the waterfall.
"Team Rocket's blasting off again!" Team Rocket exclaimed, making a splash below. They then go flying as a Gyarados sends them flying in the air. They went flying in the air, screaming.
Back with Sora and Pikachu, they kept following Espeon and Umbreon. Sora and Pikachu kept wondering where Espeon and Umbreon were taking them.
"Wonder if there's someplace special they're taking us, huh, Pikachu?" Sora asked.
"Chu," Pikachu shrugged his shoulders.
"I guess we'll have to wait and see," Sora said.
Back with Kairi and Angel, they are being watched by Flareon and it came right them. Flareon's mouth emitting fire. Kairi and Angel dodges
"Fire Fang!" Kairi exclaimed. "A Flareon?" She took out her Pokédex and scanned the Pokémon.
Flareon, the Flame Pokémon
An evolved from of Eevee
Type: Fire
Flareon's fluffy fur has a functional purpose—it releases heat into the air so that its body does not get excessively hot. This Pokémon's body temperature can rise to a maximum of 1,650 degrees Fahrenheit.
She puts her Pokédex away and took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Poliwag! Go!" Kairi called out. Her Pokéball opened and Poliwag came out, wearing the King's Rock. "Use Water Gun!" Poliwag fired Water Gun at Flareon, landing a hit. Flareon fired Ember at Poliwag, dealing some damage. "Use Double Slap!" Poliwag gave Flareon a couple of slaps in the face. "Use Water Gun!" Poliwag fired another Water Gun at Flareon, dealing some damage. Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it. Flareon flows inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball confirming the catch. Kairi's Pokémon Box goes off asking her if she wants to keep Flareon with her. She chose to send Flareon over to Professor Oak's lab. "And that's three evolved forms of Eevee!"
"Eevee, Eevee!" Angel said.
"Good work, Poliwag," Kairi said.
"Wag!" Poliwag said. Poliwag started to evolve. Poliwag has become a Poliwhirl.
"Wow, you evolved! You're a Poliwhirl!" Kairi said.
"Poliwhirl!" Poliwhirl said.
A little later, she was close to returning to camp, she came across Leafeon.
"A Leafeon?" Kairi asked, taking out her Pokédex and scanned the Pokémon.
Leafeon, the Verdant Pokémon
An evolved from of Eevee
Type: Grass
Just like a plant, it uses photosynthesis. As a result, it is always enveloped in clear air.
"Okay, let's go!" Kairi said, looking at Angel. Leafeon starts off by firing Razor Leaf, and lands a hit onto Angel. Leafeon then came at Angel with Leaf Blade. "Dodge and use Iron Tail!" Angel dodges Leaf Blade and gave Leafeon an Iron Tail. Leafeon came at Angel with another Leaf Blade. It lands a hit onto Angel. She lands on the ground. Leafeon fired Razor Leaf at Angel. "Angel! Use Swift!" Angel fired Swift, cutting the leaves. "Use Headbutt!" Angel lands a Headbutt into Leafeon. Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it. Leafeon flows inside the Pokéball and it wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball confirming the catch. Kairi's Pokémon Box goes off asking her if she wants to keep Leafeon with her. She chose to send Leafeon over to Professor Oak's lab. "And Leafeon makes four."
"Eevee!" Angel said.
Kairi returned to camp and she saw her boyfriend and Angel's boyfriend were both gone.
"Where could they be?" Kairi asked.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"There might be Heartless be around here, so we might as well look for them, Angel," Kairi said.
"Vee," Angel nodded with agreement.
Over to Sora and Pikachu, they made it to some kind of ruins. It looks like it was from the olden days.
"Is this where did you want me to meet you?" Sora asked.
"Espeon," Espeon said.
"Umbreon," Umbreon said.
"Why did you want us to be here?" Sora asked. Espeon and Umbreon stood before Sora and Pikachu, letting them know they want to battle Sora. "You brought us to battle you?" Espeon and Umbreon both nodded.
"Okay, I'll take you up on that," Sora said. He took out two of his Pokéballs and threw them. "Bulbasaur! Squirtle! Go!" Bulbasaur and Squirtle emerged from inside and stood in front of their oppoents.
Back with Kairi and Angel, they've set off to find their significant others, hoping nothing happened to them. Just then, they came to an icy area. Kairi thought it was odd to see some ice, and she saw Glaceon standing before her and Angel.
"A Glaceon?" Kairi asked, taking out her Pokédex and scanned it.
Glaceon, the Fresh Snow Pokémon
An evolved form of Eevee
Type: Ice
As a defense mechanism, it can completely freeze its fur to make its hairs stand out like needles.
"I don't think I have time to deal with you, so you're going have to-" Kairi was cut off when Glaceon blew an Icy Wind at them both. "Okay, I guess I'm going have to make the time." She looked at Angel. "Go right in, Angel!"
"Eevee!" Angel said, nodding. She stood before Glaceon and readied herself to battle against her Ice-type evolved form. Glaceon came right at Angel with its mouth emitting ice.
"That's Ice Fang! Dodge and use Iron Tail!" Kairi ordered. Angel jumped and swings her tail at Glaceon, landing a hit. "Use Swift!" Angel fired Swift at Glaceon. The stars hits Glaceon repeatedly. "Use Headbutt!" Angel dashed at Glaceon and lands a Headbutt. "Use Iron Tail!" Angel swings her tail at the Fresh Snow Pokémon. Glaceon fell right on the snow. Glaceon gets back up on its feet. "Use Quick Attack!" Angel dashed at Glaceon and lands a hit. Glaceon fell back on the snow. Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it. Glaceon flows inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Kairi's Pokémon Box goes off asking her if she wants to keep Glaceon with her. She chose to send Glaceon to Professor Oak's lab. "That was great, Angel."
"Eevee," Angel said.
Over to Sora and Pikachu, the battle between Espeon and Umbreon begins as Umbreon releases multiple purple and black rings of energy from its mouth at Bulbasaur and Squirtle. Espeon fired Psybeam at Bulbasaur, landing a hit.
"Bulbasaur! Use Razor Leaf! Squirtle! Water Gun!" Sora ordered. Bulbasaur and Squirtle fired their attacks at their opponents. Espeon and Umbreon dodged their attacks. Umbreon sends out Confuse Ray on Squirtle, making him confused. Espeon then ran towards Bulbasaur, landing a hit. "Bulbasaur! Use Vine Whip!" Bulbasaur sends out Vine Whip and smacked Espeon on the spot. "Squirtle! Use Rapid Spin!" Squirtle was very confused, so he ends up hurting himself. Epseon and Umbreon fired Psybeam and Snarl at their opponents, landing some heavy hits. Bulbasaur and Squirtle land on the ground. "Hang in there, guys."
"Chu," Pikachu said.
Back with Kairi and Angel, they continued to follow the trail of the boys, they came across a Sylveon. Kairi and Angel stopped in front of the Pokémon.
"A Sylveon," Kairi said, taking out her Pokédex again.
Sylveon, the Intertwining Pokémon
An evolved form of Eevee
Type: Fairy
It wraps its ribbonlike feelers around the arm of its beloved Trainer and walks with him or her.
"I'm going to guess the only way to get to Sora and Pikachu, I'm gonna have to battle you," Kairi said, looking at Angel. "Move right in, Angel!"
"Eevee!" Angel said, stepping right in to battle Sylveon. Sylveon unleashed Fairy Wind at Angel.
"Dodge and use Iron Tail!" Kairi ordered. Angel swings her tail at Sylveon, but it uses its feelers to block Angel's attack and threw her. Angel lands on the ground, but she got back up on her feet. Sylveon unleashes Disarming Voice at Angel, landing a hit. "Angel! Use Quick Attack!" Angel got up and dashed towards Sylveon with Quick Attack. Sylveon extends her feelers again. Angel dodges the feelers and lands a hit onto Sylveon. "Use Swift!" Angel fired Swift at Sylveon, dealing some damage. "Use Iron Tail! Angel came at Sylveon and lands a hit onto the Intertwining Pokémon. Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it. Sylveon flows inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Kairi's Pokémon Box goes off asking her if she wants to keep Sylveon with her. She chose to send Sylveon to Professor Oak's lab. "Good work, Angel."
"Vee," Eevee said.
"Now to find Sora," Kairi said.
With that said, Kairi and Angel went off to find Sora and Pikachu.
Speaking of which, Bukbasaur and Squirtle got back up on their feet.
"Bulbasaur! Use Solar Beam! Squirtle! Use Rapid Spin!" Sora ordered. Bulbasaur begins to build up energy to fire Solar Beam as Squirtle shook off his confusion and spins around at either Espeon or Umbreon. Espeon and Umbreon fired Psybeam and Snarl at their opponents. Bulbasaur fired Solar Beam at their opponents. Squirtle lands a hit on Umbreon as Espeon and Umbreon are both struck by the beam of solar energy.
Kairi and Angel found Sora and Pikachu in the middle of a battle. They saw Espeon and Umbreon battling against Bulbasaur and Squirtle.
"Sora!" Kairi called out. Sora turned to see his girlfriend.
"Hey, Kairi," Sora greeted.
"Sora, don't get distracted!" Kairi said.
"Right," Sora said. "Bulbasaur! Use Tackle!" Bulbasaur charged at Espeon and lands a hit on the Sun Pokémon. Espeon uses Confusion to send Bulbasaur back, dealing some heavy damage. Bulbasaur lands on his belly, but he gets back up and lets out a loud yell. Bulbasaur started to evolve. Bulbasaur has become a quadrupedal amphibian Pokémon that has blue-green skin with darker patches. On top of his head are pointed ears with black insides and he has narrow red eyes. He has a short, rounded snout with a wide mouth and two pointed teeth in its upper jaw. Each of its feet has three claws on them. The bulb on its back has bloomed into a large pink bud. A short brown trunk surrounded by leafy green fronds supports the bud. "Bulbasaur, you evolved!" Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned his newly evolved Pokémon.
Ivysaur, the Seed Pokémon
The evolved form of Bulbasaur
Type: Grass/Poison
The bud on its back grows by drawing energy. It gives off an aroma when it is ready to bloom.
"The intensity of the battle has to be the cause of Bulbasaur's sudden evolution. Okay, Ivysaur! Use Razor Leaf!" Ivysaur fired Razor Leaf at Umbreon and Espeon. Umbreon is struck hard, and so is Espeon. "Use Vine Whip!" Ivysaur extends his vines at Espeon and goes down for the count. Umbreon got back up and stood before Ivysaur and Squirtle. Ivysaur turned to Squirtle.
"I've got this one, Squirtle. You should rest up." - Ivysaur subtitle.
"You sure? You took just about as much damage as I did." - Squirtle subtitle.
"I can handle it. Trust me." - Ivysaur subtitle. Squirtle understood and nodded. Squirtle returns to Sora's side. Sora knew Ivysaur wanted to finish this battle alone, so he respected Ivysaur's decision.
"Okay, Ivysaur! Use Tackle!" Sora ordered. Ivysaur charged at Umbreon, and Umbreon charged at Ivysaur. Both lands a hit onto each other and stared at each other. Both panted, feeling tired from their intense battle. Umbreon fell on the ground, beaten. Sora walked up to Ivysaur and he pets him. "Great job, Ivysaur. You battled hard."
"Saur," Ivysaur said.
Kairi walked up to Sora.
"That was a great battle, Sora," Kairi said.
"Thanks, Kairi," Sora said. He walked up to Espeon and Umbreon as they got up. Sora summoned his Keyblade and he casts his Cure spell. Espeon and Umbreon recovered from their injuries. "Thanks for the battle, you two. It was really intense." Espeon and Umbreon smiled. Espeon uses Psychic to take a couple of Pokéballs and they landed in his hands. "Wait, you want me to catch you?" Espeon and Umbreon nodded. "Okay." He tossed the Pokéballs in the air and they flow inside. The Pokéballs wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéballs to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Espeon and Umbreon with him. He chose to send them both to Professor Oak's lab. Sora summoned his Keyblade and he used his magic to heal Ivysaur and Squirtle. "So, how was your day?"
"Can't complain. I ran into a Vaporeon, a Jolteon, a Flareon, a Leafeon, a Glaceon, and a Sylveon just before Angel and I went looking for you," Kairi said. Sora was surprised by Kairi saying she had a run-in with six other evolved forms of Eevee.
"Something is telling me it's not a coincidence," Sora said.
"What makes you think so?" Kairi asked.
"Well, for one thing, we battled against an evolved form of Eevee and we just caught them both. You can't tell me that's not a coincidence," Sora said.
"It does make sense when you put it that way," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
Over to Professor Oak's lab, he was astounded by the Eeveelutions arriving to his lab.
"My goodness, this is amazement. Kairi catches six out of eight, and Sora catches two at once! Those two are full of surprises!" Professor Oak said.
Back with Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel, they returned to the camp and Sora exchanged Haunter and Machoke for Grimer and Mime Jr. Sora decided to make a grilled cheese sandwich since Kairi was tired to cook. Sora hands Kairi the sandwich to her.
"Here you go," Kairi. One grilled cheese sandwich, just for you," Sora said. Kairi beamed and she took a bite of the sandwich and she beamed from the taste.
"It's delicious," Kairi said.
"Thanks," Sora said. "Glad you liked it. And you deserve it. I'm just sorry that I made you worry, Kairi."
"It's okay, Sora. I forgive you," Kairi said. "It happens."
"Yeah, but it's no excuse for making you worry," Sora said.
"You would do the same thing for me, Sora," Kairi said. She took him by the hand.
"Yeah, I would," Sora agreed.
With that said, the couple ate the sandwiches Sora has cooked for each other and fell asleep a while after they ate. They were amazed by the evolved forms of Eevee that they caught and sent to Professor Oak's lab. In the morning, the journey towards Saffron City shall continue.
