Episode 47: Team Rocket Takes Over Silph Part 1

A few days have passed since they met up with Jigglypuff and helped her sing. Sora has learned that he was battling against Psychic-type Pokémon, so he exchanged five of his Pokémon for Haunter, Umbreon, Scyther, Pinsir, and Butterfree. He figured his best bets were to use Dark, Bug, and Ghost-type Pokémon against Psychic-type Pokémon.

At last, they have arrived.

"Saffron City!" Kairi said.

"It a long time, but getting here made it worth the trip!" Sora said.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.

"Eevee, vee!" Angel said.

"Now to get the Pokémon Center," Kairi said.

"Good idea, Kairi," Sora said.

The couple started to make their way down to the Saffron City Pokémon Center. Unknown to them, they were being followed by Jigglypuff.

As they walked down the streets, they came across a Voltorb. The Ball Pokémon was rolling in the streets of the city. Knowing Voltorb are common in cities, they were still wild Pokémon. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it. Voltorb flowed inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Voltorb with him. He chose to send Voltorb to Professor Oak's lab.

Over to the Sylph Co building, a Team Rocket helicopter hovers above the building. A couple of security guards came arrived to the scene.

"Was the president expecting business today?" One of the security guards asked.

"Not any I'm aware of," the second security guard said. He took out a megaphone and spoke into it. "Attention, pilot! You are not authorized to land! Turn back immediately!" The helicopter makes a landing. It's revealed to be a Team Rocket helicopter. The security guards were about to make contact with the police when the side opens and a Pokémon flew out. Out came a bipedal, insectoid Pokémon with a red, metallic exoskeleton. It has gray, retractable forewings and hind wings with simple, curved venation. Its rounded head has three blunt horns extending above its forehead and eyes with dark yellow pupils. Its thin, black neck connects to a black, teardrop-shaped patch on its thorax. The Pokémon has broad shoulders and thin, segmented arms ending in large, round pincers, which make up a third of Scizor's body weight. It has a large, rounded abdomen with three black, chevron-shaped stripes extending from its waist down its front. Its legs are defined by large hip joints, thin thighs, and wide calves, and its feet end in a clawed toe on each side. This Pokémon is known as a Scizor. The Scizor attacked the security guards as a Drowzee is sent out and hypnotizes them, making them fall asleep. Team Rocket grunts all came out and secured the area.

"The platform is secured," one of the Team Rocket grunts said.

Giovanni stepped out and smiled evilly as he chuckled.

"I will go and have a chat with the Silph Co's president. You go and see to it that I am not bothered," Giovanni ordered.

"Yes, sir," the first Team Rocket grunt said. He turned to the rest of the grunts. "You heard him, people! Take the building!"

Team Rocket has taken over the entire building. There is a woman who managed to slip away just when Team Rocket has begun their attack

"I've got to get help," the woman said.

Over to the Pokémon Center, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel have arrived and they saw Ash and Leaf in the Pokémon Center.

"Ash!" Sora said.

"Leaf!" Kairi said.

"Well, if it isn't it the happy couple," Ash said with a smile.

"It's very good to see you again," Leaf said.

"Right back at you, Leaf," Sora said. "I take it you're here for a Gym battle, too, huh?"

"Sure am, Sora. Are you?" Ash asked.

"Yeah, I am," Sora said.

"Sora and I just got here," Kairi said.

"Pikachu," Pikachu said.

"Eevee," Angel said.

They had their Pokémon checked in and they talked about their recent adventures. They all shared a laugh.

"You guys sure have been through a whole lot," Ash said.

"Yeah. It was quite a thrill," Sora said.

"What about you? What have you been up to?" Kairi asked.

"Not much to tell to be honest. Our adventures couldn't compare to yours," Leaf said.

"Except for the fact we had bumped into Gary, with a major difference," Ash said. Sora and Kairi looked at each other.

"What do you mean?" Kairi asked.

"He looked like he's seen a ghost," Ash said. "Not even sure how to explain it." Sora and Kairi wondered if Gary saw something Sora and Kairi had, and what they were fighting. "I didn't know what to make of it. But, Sora, I was wondering if I could have a word with you, in private."

"Sure," Sora said. Both boys got up, leaving the girls alone. Sora and Ash were completely alone. "What did you wanna talk to me about?"

"Sora, I know about it," Ash said.

"About what?" Sora asked.

"I know about the key you have," Ash said. Sora was shocked to hear Ash knows about his Keyblade.

"How did you find out about it?" Sora asked.

"Gary told me himself. I didn't believe him at first, but I knew he'd never make it up," Ash said. "So, how about you show me."

"Um, okay," Sora said, raising his hand. He summoned his Keyblade. Ash was astounded by what he saw.

"So, that's the key," Ash said, amazed.

"If you think you're amazed, I was amazed when I first got it," Sora said.

"How did you get it, Sora?" Ash asked.

"It was when Kairi and I were attacked by the Heartless, the creatures Gary saw us fighting. My Charmander's former Trainer tried to get back at me for what he did to himself, and he turned into a Heartless; and other Heartless have shown up," Sora said.

"You and Kairi? You mean, Kairi has a Keyblade, too?" Ash asked.

"Yeah. She got one not too long ago," Sora said. Ash sighed.

"I never thought you'd get something like that, even though you were a skilled swordsman; especially when it came to swinging a wooden sword," Ash said. "Also, Sora, there's a little something I should show you." Sora looked at him and he held out his hand. Ash summoned a Keyblade, shocking Sora. The guard appears to be two shooting stars. The blade is blue and decorated with stars, while the end is a crescent moon and star. The Keychain design is a crescent moon.

"Wha?! You have a Keyblade?" Sora asked.

"Yeah. To be honest, I thought I was the only one who had one," Ash said.

"So did I until I met Riku," Sora said. Ash was stunned to hear Sora mention Riku.

"Wait a minute! Riku has one?" Ash asked.

"Yeah, that's right," Sora said.

"Just when you think you were the only one, but it turns out that you weren't. Just how did you hear about it?" Ash asked.

"I first heard about it from Kairi's dad. What he told me is that the Heartless greatly fears the Keyblade, and they'll keep coming after me, and now Kairi, and I'll guess you, too," Sora said.

"I think I had a run-in with them already. I didn't know what they were, but I knew they weren't Pokémon, I can tell you," Ash said, dismissing his Keyblade. Sora dismissed along with him.

"Does Leaf know?" Sora asked.

"No. And I'd like to keep it that way," Ash said.

"Me too, but they have a way of letting it out whether we want it to or not," Sora said. Ash sighed, knowing Sora is right about the Heartless making things difficult for them.

Meanwhile over in international police hq, there several Team Rocket grunts that were recently arrested. They were being interrogated, but they're refusing to speak.

"Come on, cut the bullshit, and tell us what we wanna know? Where's your boss, and where is he hiding?" The cop interrogated. The Team Rocket grunt chuckled.

"Are you done yet? I'm getting bored," the Team Rocket grunt said. The cop growled and grabbed him by the uniform.

"I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR YOUR GAMES! WHERE IS YOUR BOSS, AND WHERE IS YOUR BASE?!" The cop yelled.

"Somewhere between 'bite' and 'me'," the Team Rocket grunt taunted.

"Let him go. He ain't talking," the other cop said. The first cop just let go and walked out.

Over to Looker, he was watching from the other side. Another cop walked in, carrying a cup of coffee.

"Coffee, sir?" The cop asked.

"Thanks," Looker said, taking his cup. He took a sip. "Anything?"

"Nothing. Not one of them is spilling their guts," the cop said.

"They're loyal to him. These bastards would sell their own mothers before they'll ever betray their boss," Looker said.

"Ever since the Celadon City incident, we've been on hard alert," the cop said.

"Let's hope we get a break," Looker said. His smartphone rings and he answered it. "Looker here." He listened. "On it." He broke contact. "We got our break."

Back in Saffron City, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel, went to find the Saffron City Gym, only to find it was closed.

"What the? This can't be right," Sora said. He went to approach when a young opened the door and stepped out.

"May I help you?" The young man asked.

"I've come here to challenge the Gym Leader of the Saffron City Gym to a battle," Sora said.

"I'm sorry to tell you this, but the Gym Leader, Sabruna is out at the moment, and she won't return until a few days," the young man said.

"Is that right?" Sora asked.

"Yes. I suggest you should wait until then," the young man said, shutting the door.

"Shoot, and I was ready and everything," Sora said.

"That give you more time to train and get ready," Kairi said. Sora had to agree with his girlfriend on that.

"Yeah, you're right. I mean, a couple of days is planey of time," Sora said.

"Pikachu," Pikachu said.

"Eevee," Angel said.

With that said, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel went to the local park and started to train hard when Ash and Leaf arrived. Sora was quick to notice them.

"Let me guess, the Gym's closed, right?" Sora asked.

"Yeah. I'm gonna guess you were just there," Ash said.

"You've guessed right," Sora said. "You came to do some training, Ash?"

"I would like to, Sora. I am interested in seeing how strong you've grown," Ash said.

"Sure thing," Sora said. Both Sora and Ash took their places for their practice battle. Ash took out a Pokéball and threw it.

"Go! Snorlax!" Ash said. The Pokéball opens and lets out a huge, bipedal, dark blue-greenPokémonwith a cream-colored face, belly, and feet. Its body is composed of mostly its belly, as its limbs are comparatively small. Its head is large with small, pointed ears and two pointed teeth protruding from its lower jaw. It has round feet, which both have three claws and a circular brown paw pad, and short arms with five claws on each hand. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned it.

Snorlax, the Sleeping Pokémon

The evolved form of Munchlax

Type: Normal

Snorlax spends most of its time sleeping. It wakes up to eat from 880 to 900 pounds of food a day. Once it has eaten its fill, it goes back to sleep.

"So, that's what Muncax evolves into. Okay, here's a Pokémon to use," Sora said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Scyther!" His Pokéball opened and Scyther swings his scythe-like arms around.

"Would you like to make the first move, Sora?" Ash asked.

"Thanks, Ash. Okay, Scyther! Use Quick Attack, followed by Slash!" Sora ordered. Scyther flew right at Snorlax with Quick Attack and lands a hit. Scyther moves in to slash Snorlax.

"Okay, Snorlax! Use Fire Punch!" Ash ordered. Snorlax lands a punch with Fire Punch, dealing some heavy damage. "Use Body Slam!" Snorlax moved in to slam its whole body on Scyther.

"Dodge and use Night Slash!" Sora ordered. Scyther came at Snorlax with a Night Slash. Snorlax just took the hit.

"Use Rest!" Ash ordered. Snorlax fell asleep and healed from its past injuries.

"Snorlax can't really do anything when it's asleep," Sora said.

"You're almost right, Sora. Snorlax! Use Sleep Talk!" Ash ordered. Snorlax stood up and came at Scyther with Fire Punch. Scyther took the hit, so Snorlax laid back down.

"I wasn't expecting that, but that sweet," Sora said.

"I was hoping I'd impress you, Sora. Snorlax! Use Sleep Talk again!" Ash ordered. Snorlax stood up again and jumped up with Body Slam.

"That's Body Slam! Dodge and use Night Slash!" Sora ordered. Scyther dodged Snorlax's attack and gave Snorlax a slash with Night Slash. Snorlax then woke up. "Use Quick Attack!" Scyther dashed at Snorlax. Due to Snorlax's size, Snorlax was too slow to dodge.

"Use Fire Punch!" Ash ordered. Snorlax tried to punch Scyther, but the Mantis Pokémon was moving way too fast for the Sleeping Pokémon to land a hit.

"Snorlax! Use Body Slam!" Ash ordered. Snorlax jumped to land on Scyther.

"Dodge and use X-Scissor!" Sora ordered. Scyther managed to dodge and lands a hit with X-Scissor, resulting in a knockout. Ash called back his Snorlax and he laughed.

"Not bad, Sora. You improved so much since we last had our battle," Ash said. He took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Your turn now, Slowbro!" His Pokéball opened and out came a bipedal, pink Pokémon with a tan, striped belly and a rounded, tan muzzle. It has large, vacant eyes, curled ears, and two small pointed teeth protruding from its upper jaw. It has three clawed fingers on its hands and two clawed toes on its feet. On its tail, there is a gray, spiral shell with darker gray spots and small, triangular eyes near the base. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned his Pokémon.

Slowbro, the Hermit Crab Pokémon

An evolved form of Slowpoke

Type: Water/Psychic

Under the influence of Shellder's digestive fluids, Slowpoke has awakened, gaining a great deal of power–and a little motivation to boot.

"So that's what Slowpoke will evolve into," Sora said. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Haunter!" The Pokéball opened and Haunter emerged from inside.

"Haunt, Haunt, Haunt," Haunter said.

"Haunter! Use Shadow Ball!" Sora ordered. Haunter sends out Shadow Ball right at Slowbro.

"Use Protect!" Ash ordered. Slowbro forms a protective barrier, and the attack bounces right off. "Use Disable!" Slowbro becomes surrounded by a light blue aura and the opponent starts to glow light blue, disabling Haunter's Shadow Ball. "Use Psychic!" Slowbro uses Psychic on Haunter and sends the Gas Pokémon down on the ground. "Use Water Pulse!" Slowbro forms a ball of water and sends it right at Haunter, dealing some heavy damage. Haunter was taken down. "Good job, Slowbro." Sora called back Haunter.

"That was great, Ash," Sora said.

Just when Sora was about to take out another Pokéball, the woman from before came running out of the bushes.

"Help! Somebody help, please!" The woman exclaimed. Sora and Ash had to stop their practice battle and went over to her. Kairi, Leaf, Pikachu, and Angel rushed over to her as well.

"What's wrong?" Sora asked.

"What's going on?" Leaf asked.

They led her to a bench and sat her down. She then had to explain the situation to them.

"I'm a receptionist working in the Silph Co building right here in Saffron City," the receptionist explained.

"The Silph Co? As in the manufacturers of the technology of Pokéballs and others?" Leaf asked.

"Yes," the receptionist said.

"Just what happened? Why were you running through the park just now?" Kairi asked.

"I was looking for help. I didn't know who to turn to, but I wasn't sure if anyone would be a match for them," the receptionist said.

"A match for who?" Ash asked.

"Team Rocket," the receptionist said.

"Team Rocket?!" Sora, Kairi, Ash, and Leaf exclaimed in shock.

"Yes. They've just arrived and they took over the entire building. They have taken most of the staff and the scientists hostage," the receptionist said.

"But, you got out," Sora said.

"I was lucky. They probably have gotten to the rest of the staff by now," the receptionist said.

"Why are they doing this?" Kairi asked.

"I don't know, but just before I escaped, I heard two of them talking about the Master Ball," the receptionist said.

"The Master Ball? What the heck is that?" Sora asked.

"It's a Pokéball that can be used to be able to capture any kind of Pokémon without failure. The Silph Co has been developing it for years. And that's when Team Rocket invaded," the receptionist explained. "Don't ask me how they found out, because I don't even know."

"A Pokéball that can catch any Pokémon without fail? If it's that awesome, it's no wonder Team Rocket wants it," Sora said.

"So far, we have made only one. Team Rocket intends to test it on one of the wikd Pokémon they have recently poached," the receptionist said. This shocked them.

"Testing it on Pokémon? What line won't they cross?" Ash asked.

"We have got to stop them," Kairi said.

"She's right," Leaf said. "It'll be bad to let them do whatever they want." The receptionist just looked at them with surprise.

"You? You think you can take them on?" The receptionist asked.

"You came looking for help, and you found some. We dealt with Team Rocket and foiled their plans," Sora said. "And just like Leaf said, we can't let them do whatever they want."

"I understand," the receptionist said.

"Lead us to the Silph Co building, and we'll handle it," Sora said.

"Alright. Right this way," the receptionist said. She led them right towards the Silph Co building. Along the way, Sora has exchanged his Haunter, Pinsir, Umbreon, and Butterfree for Magnemite, Krabby, Golbat, and Venonat along the way. They have arrived to the Silph Co building. "And here it is."

"Look! Someone is there!" Leaf said. They saw it was the usual Team Rocket trio and a grunt that is standing guard.

"What do you mean only authorized Team Rocket members are permitted here? We're prominent members of Team Rocket, so let us in!" Jessie demanded.

"Those are my orders," the Team Rocket grunt said.

"Here's what I think of your orders!" Jessie yelled, giving him a punch in the face, knocking him out. Jessie storms right inside.

"Jessie, wait up!" James called out.

"Yeah, for us!" Meowth said.

James and Meowth followed Jessie inside. Sora, Kairi, Ash, Leaf, Pikachu, and Angel saw an opportunity to get inside.

"Those morons just made it easy for us to get inside," Sora said, chuckling to himself.

"If you're going inside, I urge you to be careful," the receptionist said.

"We will," Kairi said.

"You go to the police and tell them what's going on," Ash said.

"Of course," the receptionist said, taking off to find the police station.

Not too far, Riku, Naminé, and Eevee have arrived in Saffron City. They entered her house to find Naminé's mother, a woman with the same blonde hair as her.

"Naminé!" Naminé's mother said happily. She went to give her daughter a loving hug. "I'm so happy to see you!"

"Hi, mom," Naminé greeted. "Sorry for taking long?"

"It's quite alright, dear," Naminé's mother said. She looked at Riku and Eevee. "Who's he?"

"Mom, this is Riku," Naminé said.

"It's nice to meet you, ma'am," Riku said.

"Eevee," Eevee said.

Naminé's mother just smiled.

"You must be hungry. Come on in and I'll have a lunch ready for you," Naminé's mother said.

"That'll be nice, mom," Naminé said. "Is dad here?"

"No, honey. He's still at work. And I found it to be strange, because I tried to reach him, and he isn't answering," Naminé's mother said. Naminé knew something was off, because she knew he was always home by lunch. She wondered if something happened to him. Just then the phone rings. "Oh, I'll get that." She went to answer the phone. "Hello?" The picture turned out a man with black hair is on the phone.

"Honey, good. I finally got through. I can't talk long, because they have eyes all around," Naminé's father said.

"What are you talking about? Who's got all around?" Naminé's mother asked.

"Team Rocket. I need you to call the police, and let them know they're in the city," Naminé's father said. Naminé was listening and she gasped.

"Daddy, no," Naminé said.

"Hey, what are you doing there?!" An angry male's voice called out. Quickly, Naminé's father broke contact.

Back at the Silph Co, he stood up as a male Team Rocket grunt and a Sandslash walked up to him.

"Nothing. Nothing at all," Naminé's father lied.

"Oh no?" The male Team Rocket grunt asked. "Let's make sure of that, shall we? Sandslash! Use Slash!" Sandslash slashed the picture phone. "No more personal phone calls."

Back in Naminé's house, her mother tried to make contact again, but it wasn't going through.

"Hello? Pick up! Pick up!" Naminé's mother said, trying again.

"Mom, is it true? Is Team Rocket at the Silph Co?" Naminé asked.

"I don't know," Naminé's mom said.

"Mom, is dad okay?" Naminé asked. Riku and Eevee were listening to their talk and they decided to move right into action.

"I can take care of them," Riku said. Naminé and her mother looked at him.

"You sure, Riku?" Naminé asked.

"I'm sure. My Pokémon and I can will clear them out. Right, Eevee?" Riku asked.

"Vee!" Eevee said.

"I'm going with you!" Naminé said.

"Absolutely not!" Naminé's mother firmly said. "No daughter of mine is going to get caught by Team Rocket!"

"She's right, Naminé. It's best you stay here with your mom. All I need is how to get there and what he looks like," Riku said.

Naminé's mother gave him directions on how to get there and Naminé handed Riku a photo of her father.

"Be careful, Riku," Naminé said.

"I will," Riku said. He turned to his partner. "Let's go, Eevee!"

"Eevee!" Eevee nodded.

Riku and Eevee rushed out in the directions they were given. Naminé hoped for Riku's safe return.

Back to the Silph Co building, Sora, Kairi, Ash, Leaf, Pikachu, and Angel went by the unconscious Team Rocket grunt. They entered the building and looked around.

"We're in," Ash said.

"Okay, let's up the stairs," Sora said.

"Pikachu," Pikachu said.

With that said, they head for the stairs and kept their open for any Team Rocket grunts.

Over to the Team Rocket trio in the upper floors, Jessie stomped in rage over not being included in the Silph Co plan.

"How dare they deny us entry! It's our given right!" Jessie said.

"I just we can put those into practice," James said.

"You!" A voice called out. They turned to see a large man wearing a Team Rocket outfit. "What the hell are you doing here? You shouldn't be here!"

"What? We shouldn't be here? You sound like that stuck-up grunt who was very rude to us earlier!" Jessie said.

"Tell us why that is," James said.

"Look, you three. It's bad enough you haven't been making contact with base, like you should have, but it's going to be even worse if he sees you here," the Team Rocket member said.

"You mean the boss is coming?" James asked.

"No. He's here, and he's with the company's president right now," the Team Rocket member said. Jessie, James, and Meowth flinched when they heard their boss is in the very building. "And if you wanna avoid getting an earful, you best get the hell out of here, before I get into trouble just for talking to you."

"You!" A male voice shouted.

"Too late," the Team Rocket member sighed.

The voice came from a young man with fair skin, spikey aquamarine hair, and teal eyes. He wore a long white sleeve shirt with a black undershirt and the Team Rocket emblem printed near his right sleeve. He also wore a black belt, white pants, and white shoes.

"Who the hell let these three in here?" The young man asked.

"I have no idea, Mr. Archer, sir," the Team Rocket member said.

"Archer, we have a bone to pick with you!" Jessie said, but James pulled her back.

"Not a good idea bad-mouthing to Archer, Jessie," James whispered.

"Grow a spine for once in your life!" Jessie said.

"If you don't mind the interruption; I do not recall granting you permission to be here," Archer said.

"Um, we were just in the neighborhood and we thought we'd drop right in and-" Meowth said before Archer cuts him off.

"And stink up our operations with your stench of failure?" Archer asked. Jessie, James, and Meowth froze when Archer asked them that. "I'll deal with you three later. For now, go and join the grunts."

"You're putting us with the riff raff?" Jessie asked.

"Are you questioning my orders?" Archer asked. Jessie was about to answer before she could speak.

"No, sir," James and Meowth both said, making Jessie shake her head.

"Good. Now, get out of my sight and join the others," Archer ordered. They rushed off to join the grunts.

On the first floor, Sora, Kairi, Ash, Leaf, Pikachu, and Angel came up the stairs and looked around for any signs of Team Rocket.

"The coast is clear," Ash said.

"Hope you're right," Sora said.

"Me too," Kairi said.

"Let's split up. We might cover more ground that way," Leaf suggested.

"Good idea. Sora, Kairi, you're a team. Leaf, you're with me," Ash said.

"Right," Leaf said.

With that said, they split in teams of two.

Outside, the grunt standing guard stood back up and he dusted himself off.

"Dammit! I'm gonna be in trouble for letting those three in here," the male Team Rocket grunt said. Just then, Riku took out three of his Pokéballs and threw them.

"Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise! Go!" Riku called out.

One Pokémon is a squat, quadrupedal amphibian Pokémon with bumpy, blue-green skin. It has small, circular red eyes; a short, blunt snout; and a wide mouth with two pointed teeth in the upper jaw and four in the lower jaw. On top of its head are small, pointed ears with reddish pink insides. It has three clawed toes on each foot. The bud on its back has bloomed into a large pink, white-spotted flower. The flower is supported by a thick, brown trunk surrounded by green fronds. Another is a draconic, bipedal Pokémon. It is primarily orange with a cream underside from the chest to the tip of its tail. It has a long neck, small blue eyes, slightly raised nostrils, and two horn-like structures protruding from the back of its rectangular head. There are two fangs visible in the upper jaw when its mouth is closed. Two large wings with blue-green undersides sprout from its back, and a horn-like appendage juts out from the top of the third joint of each wing. A single wing-finger is visible through the center of each wing membrane. Its arms are short and skinny compared to its robust belly, and each limb has three white claws. It has stocky legs with cream-colored soles on each of its plantigrade feet. The tip of its long, tapering tail burns with a sizable flame. The third one is a large, bipedal turtle Pokémon. Its body is blue and is mostly hidden by its tough, brown shell. This shell has a cream-colored underside and a white ridge encircling its arms and separating the upper and lower halves. Two powerful water cannons reside at the top of its shell over its shoulders. These cannons can be extended or withdrawn. Its head has triangular ears that are black on the inside, small brown eyes, and a cream-colored lower jaw. Its arms are thick, and it has three claws on each hand. Its feet have three claws on the front and one on the back. Poking out of the bottom of its shell is a stubby tail. "Venusaur! Use Petal Blizzard! Charizard! Use Flamethrower! Blastoise! Hydro Pump!" Venusaur fired a flurry of flower petals as Charizard spews Flamethrower and Blastoise fired high-pressure water from its cannons. The Team Rocket grunt is caught in the blast. After being taken down, Riku called back his three Pokémon and rushed inside.

On the second floor, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel checks out some of the areas. They searched around when they bumped into a male Team Rocket grunt.

"Hey!" The male Team Rocket grunt shouted. "What the hell are you doing in here?" He looked at the couple and he realized who he was talking to. "Hey, you're those brats back in Celadon City!" He took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Raticate! Go!" Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.

"Golbat! Go!" Sora called out. Golbat came out, flapping his wings.

"Raticate! Use Super Fang!" The male Team Rocket grunt ordered.

"Golbat! Use Poison Fang!" Sora ordered. Golbat flew right at Raticate and lands a poisonous bite on the Mouse Pokémon. Raticate has been poisoned.

"Raticate! Use Thunderbolt!" The male Team Rocket grunt ordered. Raticate fired Thunderbolt at Golbat, landing a shock.

"Hang on, Golbat!" Sora called out. Hearing Sora's voice, Golbat refused to go down. Golbat then started to evolve. Golbat has become a purple, chiropteran Pokémon with a small, round body. It has long, pointed ears, yellow eyes with red pupils, and a small mouth that usually has its teeth bared. On its body are two pairs of wings: an upper pair that is slightly larger and a lower pair that developed from its hind legs. Both pairs have green-blue membranes, but the lower pair's membranes are only visible from the back. The upper wings have two claw-like fingers near the middle. On the bottom of its body are what appear to be a pair of stubby feet or tufts of fur. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel were surprised by Golbat's sudden evolution. "Golbat evolved?" Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned his newly evolved Pokémon.

Crobat, the Bat Pokémon

The evolved form of Golbat

Type: Poison/Flying

Crobat sneaks up on its intended prey using wings that barely make a sound. This Pokémon rests by hanging on a tree branch with its rear legs that serve as wings.

"Okay, Crobat! Use Cross Poison!" Sora ordered. Crobat crosses wings in front of his face and his wings start to glow purple. A purple 'X' then appears in front of its crossed arms and it opens its hands, firing the 'X' at Raticate, resulting in a knockout.

"Ooh, you are such a pain in the ass," the male Team Rocket grunt growled.

Over to Ash and Leaf on the fourth floor, Ash has unleashed his Charizard as Leaf has let out her Ivysaur. They fought off the Team Rocket grunts coming their way.

"You're going to pay for this, brats!" The female Team Rocket grunt said, calling back her fallen Vileplume. She and the other grunts retreats.

Up to Giovanni, he is contacted by the grunts.

"What is it?" Giovanni asked.

"Sir, we have intruders in the building!" A male Team Rocket grunt reported.

"Then have it taken care of! I don't care who it is!" Giovanni said.

"On it, sir!" The male Team Rocket grunt said.

Back with Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel, they found the caged Pokémon in the fifth floor and they used their Keyblades to get them out.

"You're free! Go!" Kairi said.

The Pokémon just stampede out of the building. A male Team Rocket grunt hears thr noise.

"What the hell is that?" The male Team Rocket grunt asked. He screams before the Pokémon tramples right on him.

"We got them out," Kairi said.

"Yeah, but it's not over yet," Sora said as he and his girlfriend dismissed their Keyblades.

"Is someone out there?" A voice asked. They hear banging coming from a door. Kairi opened the door and saw some of the scientists.

"Are you the scientists taken hostage by Team Rocket?" Kairi asked.

"Yes. Thank you for getting us out," one of the scientists said.

"You don't need to thank us. Just go while you can," Sora said.

"Pikachu," Pikachu said.

Not needing to be told twice, the scientists all started to make their escape. Just when Sora and Kairi were looking around, the scientists were sent back by a telepathic force. It turns out to be a Haunter doing the work.

"Really?" Sora asked.

The large Team Rocket member from before.

"Nobody is going anywhere," the Team Rocket member said.

"Look, whoever you are, your take over is good as over!" Sora said.

"I think not, punks. And the name's Klout. And I'm gonna stomp you both for getting in Team Rocket's face," Klout said. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.

"Go! Magnemite!" Sora called out. Magnemite came out to battle.

"Haunter! Use Fire Punch!" Klout ordered. Haunter's hand emits fire and comes at the Magnet Pokémon.

"Dodge and use Thunder Wave!" Sora ordered. Magnemite dodges Haunter's Fire Punch and releases rings of yellow electricity from its magnets, paralyzing Haunter. "Use Thunder Shock!" Magnemite fired Thunder Shock at Haunter, dealing some damage.

"Haunter! Use Psychic!" Klout ordered. Haunter grabs Magnemite with the use of telekinesis and slams Magnemite down. Magnemite gets back up.

"Use Mirror Shot!" Sora ordered. Magnemite's body becomes covered in a light blue aura. The aura then forms into a light blue orb of energy in front of Magnemite's body. Magnemite then fires the orb at the Gas Pokémon. Haunter is taken down. Klout called back his Haunter and growled in anger.

"I'm not gonna forget this, kid!" Klout said, taking off.

Getting in was one part, but taking down Giovanni was going to be another thing; that's when they learn that he's present. Will they foil Team Rocket's evil plan or will they succeed in mass producing the Master Ball or their evil bidding? Just wait and see to find out.
