Episode 55: Police Pokémon Academy
A couple of days have passed since Sora's Ivysaur has evolved into a Venusaur, so things have been quiet so far. Sora has accessed his Pokémon Box and he exchanged Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Marowak and Snorlax for Ekans, Koffing, Growlithe and Kabuto.
Sora and Kairi have gotten started on their training.
"Chansey! Use Egg Bomb!" Kairi ordered. Chansey took out her egg and threw it at a rock. The rock shattered into pieces. "Great! Rapidash! Fire Spin! Seel, Glaceon! Ice Beam! Flareon! Use Flamethrower! Raichu, Jolteon! Thunderbolt! Vaporeon! Use Water Gun! Leafeon! Razor Leaf! Sylveon! Fairy Wind!" Kairi's Pokémon unleashed their attacks on the rock, shattering it into pieces. "Good work, everyone."
"Chansey!" Chansey said. Chansey started to evolve. Chansey has become a Blissey. "Blissey."
"Wow, you evolved into a Blissey," Kairi beamed.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Toge, Toge," Togepi said.
"Now, let's check on Sora," Kairi said.
"Okay, guys! Elekid! Thunder Punch! Magby! Fire Punch! Kabuto! Use Hydro Pump! Voltorb! Use Spark! Ekans! Use Poison Sting! Koffing! Use Sludge! Pidgeot! Use Wing Attack! Venusaur! Vine Whip! Charizard! Dragon Claw! Blastoise! Flash Cannon! Growlithe! Fire Fang! Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Sora's Pokémon launched their attacks. They launched their chosen attacks. "Great work, guys." Magby and Elekid high-five each other and they started to evolve. Elekid has become an Electabuzz and Magby has become a Magmar. "Wow, all that training paid off. I can imagine the surprise Tai and the others would have when they hear you evolved." Electabuzz beamed. Kairi, Angel, Togepi, Raichu, Rapidash, Seel, Blissey, Vaporeon, Flareon, Jolteon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon walk up to Sora and his Pokémon.
"Looks like Magby and Elekid both evolved," Kairi said. Sora turned and saw Blissey with them.
"So did Chansey," Sora said. Kairi looked at Blissey and blushed.
"Well, all our training paid off, Sora," Kairi said. "Also, I wanted to check up on you." She walked up to her boyfriend and gave him a kiss on the lips. He kissed her back. The Pokémon all smiled at their Trainers kissing each other.
Meanwhile over to Team Rocket, they sat in a restaurant, wearing dark blue trenchcoats. Sitting down in the seat behind them is another man.
"Don't turn around. Keep looking forward," the man said.
"Just what can we do for you?" Meowth asked.
"A new batch of police Growlithe academy has gotten started on their training. I need you to do me a huge favor," the man said.
"What does that have to do with us?" Jessie asked.
"Yeah, we don't have a good relationship with law enforcers," James added.
"Look, you wanna put Team Rocket's reputation back on track?" The man asked.
"Yes we-" James was cut off.
"Shut up and listen then. These police Growlithe are new to the business, so I need you to do me a special favor," the man said.
"What kind of favor?" Meowth asked.
"Take those Growlithe and train them to commit crimes," the man said.
"Wait, you want us to go to the police Pokémon academy and steal all those Growlithe and train them to rob and steal?" Jessie asked.
"Yes. And the officials will place the blame on the instructor on the job," the man said. "The academy will be getting a new instructor, and the current instructor will be fired and arrested." He chuckled. "Of course you're going to be paid for your troubles."
"Why do you want to get the instructor arrested or fired?" Meowth asked.
"My business is my own," the man said. "You get the mission?"
"We get the mission completely," Team Rocket said in unison.
"Good. And remember, my name is never to be revealed to anyone," the man said.
"You can count on us," James said.
"Good," the man said. Team Rocket took their leave as the man sighed. "I hope I made the right call. I mean, this plan to run the academy should work. If it doesn't, then I would wish that I haven't secretly joined Team Rocket if I knew it was going to be a bust; especially with those three numskulls on the job." He sighed again before he chuckled. "Ah, well. Even if those three do succeed, I'll just have them arrested and throw away the key. And then, Giovanni won't have to deal with them again."
Back to Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi were wondering through the woods. They heard the sounds of barking. They looked around and saw a man, wearing a burglar's outfit. He is carrying a large bag over his shoulder.
"A burglar!" Sora exclaimed. He took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Growlithe! Go!" His Pokéball opened and Growlithe came right out and growled. "Go!" Growlithe ran towards the burglar and took him down.
"This is too soon," the burglar said.
"Stay where you are!" Sora called out. "You're not going anywhere, you crook!"
"Wait, you don't understand!" The burglar said.
"Team Rocket are terrible people, and you're a horrible person," Kairi said.
"Eevee!" Angel added.
Just then, a pack of Growlithe arrived and surrounded Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Togepi, Sora's Growlithe. They growled at them.
Officer Jenny and other cops show up, helping the burglar up on his feet.
"Are you okay, chief?" Officer Jenny asked.
"I'm fine, I think," the burglar said.
"Just what do you think you're doing interfering with police business?" Officer Jenny asked.
"Interfering with police business? We just helped you catch that thief!" Sora argued.
"He's not a thief! He's a police officer! He's training a new batch of police Pokémon!" Officer Jenny said.
"Police Pokémon?" Kairi asked.
"Yes. And all these Growlithe are under training to becoming police Pokémon," Officer Jenny said.
"Sorry. We didn't know," Kairi said.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"Yeah. We thought it was an actual burglar," Sora said.
"Is that right? Well, you look like you didn't know, but I can let you off with a warning. But I would like you to come with me," Officer Jenny said.
"Oh man, this isn't good," Sora said.
"Relax, you're not in any trouble," Officer Jenny assured.
Little further from them, Team Rocket spies on them and they grin.
"There they are. The batch of Growlithe we were hired to steal," James said.
"You sure it's worth it? I mean, the twerps are right there," Meowth said.
"So what? We'll just swipe them along with Pikachu. And we'll frame the cops at the place for the crimes we have them commit," Jessie said.
"And the boss will be delighted in having Pikachu brought before him, and we will finally have our promotion," James added.
"Mime, Mime, Mime," Mime Jr said.
"James, how much longer do you plan on having Mime Jr out and not battle?" Jessie asked.
"Mime Jr is far too delegate for an actual battle. Besides, I don't want him getting hurt," James said.
"Mime Jr's not the only one who's gonna get hurt if this keeps up," Jessie said.
"Come on, you two! We got a plan to cook up," Meowth said.
"Right," Team Rocket said.
Over to the academy, Officer Jenny provided the couple a meal for them to enjoy.
"I'm sure you're pretty hungry," Officer Jenny said.
"Yeah. Again, sorry about earlier," Sora said.
"Not a problem," Officer Jenny assured. "I know you didn't do it on purpose. So, don't think about it too much."
"All those Growlithe looked well-trained though," Kairi said.
"Well, we train them when they're old enough to undergo some training on how overpower criminals. Canine Pokémon have always been perfect to assist law enforcement," Officer Jenny said.
"I can see why. Also, for a moment, I thought they were going to attack us," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"The Growlithe will only attack when I order them to. Also, I'd like to comment that Growlithe of yours has some real potential," Officer Jenny said.
"Thanks," Sora said. "We were doing some training before we head down to Cinnabar Island."
"Cinnabar Island, huh? I heard the Gym Leader there is tough. It always pays to be ready for a Gym battle," Officer Jenny said.
"Yeah. Also, seeing how those Growlithe work together, I was thinking of training my Growlithe to do that. Only if it's okay with you," Sora said.
""That would normally be irregular, but since you do have a Growlithe of your own, I can make an exception in your case, Sora," Officer Jenny said.
On the very next morning, Officer Jenny blows her whistle waking everyone up. Sora pretty much fell off the bunk bed.
"WHOA! MAN OVERBOARD! WOMEN AND CHILDREN FIRST!" Sora yelled.
"PIKA!" Pikachu also yelled.
Sora looked up to see Jenny with the whistle.
"Oh good, you're up. I hoped you slept well," Officer Jenny said.
"I did until you blew your whistle," Sora deadpanned.
"Standard procedure," Officer Jenny said.
"What time is it?" Sora asked looking at the clock. "It's four in the morning."
"Come on, raise and shine. It's time for your training session," Officer Jenny said.
"Okay, I'm up. I'm up," Sora said with a yawn.
"Sora," Kairi said, sleepily.
"Go back to sleep, Kairi. You need this sleep even more than I do," Sora said.
"Can I get a goodnight kiss?" Kairi asked her boyfriend. "Please?" Kairi pleaded.
"Real quick," Sora said before he gave his girlfriend a quick kiss on the lips. He looked over to Pikachu "You should get back to sleep too. Besides, Angel will miss you like crazy if you're not there."
"Pikachu," Pikachu said, falling asleep alongside Angel. The Pokémon couple nuzzled each other as they slept.
"We'll start up with the obstacle course," Officer Jenny said.
"Great!" Sora said. He looked to his Growlithe and petted him on the head. "Okay Growlithe, this is your chance to experience on how police Pokémon do things. Are you game?" Sora's Growlithe barked as he wagged his tail.
"Your Growlithe won't be the only one running because you have to run too, Sora," Officer Jenny said.
"Wait, what?" Sora asked surprised.
"The master won't be respected if the Pokémon does all the work; so I'll be running too, so let's get started, shall we, Sora?" Officer Jenny asked.
"Okay, you're on," Sora said with a smile.
The race has started as Sora, Officer Jenny and their Growlithe has started running and crawl under the wire net and climbing up a wall. Sora soon started to realize that he had biten off more than could chew. Kairi had woken up along with Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi and saw Sora and his Growlithe go through the obstacle course.
As the day went on, Sora, Officer Jenny, and the Growlithe went through a series of training. Sora even dressed up as a burglar to train his Growlithe. Sora's Growlithe runs towards Sora and jumps on him only to lick his face.
"I wonder how Growlithe will fare if I was dressed as a girl scout," Sora said in his thoughts. "I'll probably get even more licks than I'm getting now." After a long day of training Sora ended up being pooped from all that exercise. "Wow! Police work is much tougher than I thought," Sora said, panting. "And I thought fighting the Heartless was hard work."
"You were right about one thing; Your Growlithe did learn how the police works," Kairi said.
"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Gotta hand it to you, Sora. You lasted longer than I thought you did," Officer Jenny said to Sora.
"Well, it's better than having to deal with Team Rocket again. But thinking about now, where are they?" Sora asked curiously. Just then a vehicle, painted to look like a Growlithe drove right in. The vehicle destroyed the wall. The couple heard the crash and rushed in. "Why do I have a feeling I'm going to be sorry for asking that question?"
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all peoples within our nation!"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!"
"Surrender now, or prepare to fight!"
Meowth jumps in the scene and finishes this off.
"Meowth! That's right!"
"Mime, Mime, Mime!" Mime Jr said.
All the Growlithe came running out and they growl at Team Rocket with hostility. Officer Jenny came out as well.
"Team Rocket," Officer Jenny said.
"They wouldn't be trying to steal all these Growlithe, would they?" Kairi asked.
"I doubt even they would be this dumb. I mean, just coming here is just saying 'Oh, oh, oh, please arrest me. I'm tired of being free, so just throw me in jail for the rest of my life'," Sora said with a hint of sarcasm. "What would you be doing here?"
"What does it look like? We're here to train all these Growlithe to commit every kind of crime in the book," Jessie said.
"Your plan will fail, because all these Growlithe won't do anything to break the law!" Officer Jenny said.
"We'll see about that, won't we?" Jessie asked. "Get the gas ready."
"Roger," James said, getting a gas tank ready. It is slapped with an image of a Gloom on it. They spray the contents all around, making everyone cough. Team Rocket are wearing gas maskes. "It worked perfectly."
"Time for phase two!" Jessie said.
"Right," James agreed, taking out another gas tank with an image of a Psyduck on it. They spray the gas all around.
"What kind of gas is this?" Meowth asked with his voice being all high and squeaky. He screamed when he heard himself. "Hey! I sound like one of the chipmunks!"
"What's going on now?" Sora asked with his voice all high and squeaky. He realized something was wrong. "What's going on with my voice?!"
"They must be using helium! It can make our voices high and squeaky!" Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said with her voice all squeaky.
"Pika," Pikachu said with his voice all squeaky.
"Now to begin with phase three!" Jessie said.
"Phase three commencing," James said. They quickly changed clothes and dressed up like Officer Jenny. Sora looked at Team Rocket and rolled his eyes.
"Man, you have got to be kidding me!" Sora said.
"You've seen nothing yet!" Jessie said, taking out a megaphone. "Now to adjust it to the right voice." She adjusts it to Officer Jenny. When she spoke into it, sounding like Officer Jenny. "Sit, Growlithe!" The Growlithe obeyed by sitting. Officer Jenny was dumbfounded. "Now, beg!" The Growlithe beg.
"What are you doing? That's not me! That crook is impersonating me!" Officer Jenny exclaimed.
"What's going on?" Sora asked.
"They must be using a fake voice to trick the Growlithe!" Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Alright Growlithe! Arrest that woman!" Jessie ordered. The Growlithe obeyed by tying her up with rope.
"Stop it! It's me!" Officer Jenny said. They have tied up completely.
"Worked like a charm. Now to do what we came here to do," Jessie said, switching into Sora's outfit and adjusts it to Sora's voice.
"Pikachu, come over here," Jessie said. Pikachu's ears perked up, hearing his voice.
"Pikachu, don't listen to her! That's a fake!" Sora exclaimed.
"My voice doesn't sound that messed up. Get in the truck!" Jessie said.
"Don't get in the truck, Pikachu! You should know my real voice from a fake! Remember back when we met, and how you zapped all those Heartless, saving me!" Sora said. Pikachu realized he was right. No one but the real Sora would know about it. Pikachu refused to go into the truck much to Sora's happiness.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said.
"Pikachu," Sora said.
"Sora," Kairi said. She knew Pikachu couldn't be fooled by someone pretending to be Sora. Angel knew this too.
"I don't believe this! It was supposed to work!" Jessie hissed. "Whatever!" Jessie changed back to her cop disguise. She spoke in the megaphone. "Growlithe! Get that Pikachu!" The Growlithe growled at Pikachu.
"No, you don't!" Sora said. Sora took out a Pokéball, but Kairi stopped him.
"Wait, Sora. We don't know if our other Pokémon can understand our commands!" Kairi said.
"It's not like we can use our Keyblades to fight them off," Kairi said.
"Right, that'll be overkill," Sora said. "But we have to try something!"
"Pika!" Pikachu said, stepping in.
"Huh? Pikachu? You're going to battle them?" Sora asked.
"Chu," Pikachu said, nodding.
"You sure you wanna take all of them on, Pikachu?" Sora asked.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said as the Growlithe attacked. Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt, shocking them.
Not too far, a bunch of cops show up behind Team Rocket. With them is a large, bulky canine Pokémon that also possesses traits of tigers and lions. It has a distinct long dog-like muzzle with a large round black nose. Its eyes are triangular in shape, with black pupils. It has short diamond-shaped orange ears with cream colored insides. The majority of its body is covered with bright orange fur with jagged black stripes, resembling the fur of a tiger. Its most of its head and face, and its chest, legs, are covered in light cream colored fluffy tufts of fur. It has a long puffy cream-colored tail. This Pokémon is known as an Arcanine.
"Team Rocket has to be getting foolish to think they can get away with this," the cop said. Another officer comes up to the leading police officer. With him is a blue-colored duck Pokémon. Its hands and feet are now webbed, which result in its superior swimming skills. It has red eyes and a red gem on its head. Its head has four spikes on top. It has a long tail and its hands and feet have three long claws. This Pokémon is known as Golduck.
"Sarge," the second cop said.
"Report," the Sargeant said.
"We can confirm that there is a crooked cop a secret member of Team Rocket, but unfortunately we can't identify who he or she is," the second cop reported.
"Golduck," the Golduck said.
"Move in when the time's right. Until then, we enjoy the light show," the Sargeant said.
Pikachu kept shocking the Growlithe but he fell out of fatigue.
"Pikachu!" Sora gasped, taking Pikachu in his arms. "You're exhausted. You used up your electricity."
"Pikachu," Pikachu said weakly.
Officer Jenny broke loose from her restraints. She ran up to the Growlithe.
"Listen to me, all of you! Team Rocket's the enemy!" Officer Jenny said. The Growlithe just stare at her, confused.
"This is bad," James said. Jessie spoke into the megaphone.
"Growlithe! Attack!" Jessie ordered, using Jenny's voice. One of the Growlithe leapt towards Officer Jenny and bit her hand. She yelped in pain. The Growlithe looked at her and remembered all the times they had together, from the day he hatched from an egg, and right up to sick. The Growlithe licked her hand.
"Growlithe, you remembered," Officer Jenny said.
"Don't lick her, attack her!" Jessie ordered. The rest of the Growlithe growled at Team Rocket, seeing right through their trick.
"Attack them, you damn worthless curs!" James ordered, using Jenny's voice. The Growlithe growled even more fiercely.
"Shit! I knew this would fail!" Meowth exclaimed. "What else can happen?" Meowth got his answer when he felt the truck move. It turns out to be a Pokémon that resembles a U.F.O. with two spherical formations protruding from each side of its body. Three horseshoe-shaped magnets also are attached to its body. The Pokémon also has two screws sticking out from its two spherical formations and a yellow antenna on top of its head. In the center of its body is a red-colored circle that functions as a third "eye". This Pokémon is known as Magnezone. "Oh, I had to ask!"
Jessie and James looked and saw the truck in Magnezone's magnetic hold.
"Now what?" Jessie asked.
"You're under arrest, Team Rocket, for impersonating officers of the law, and attempted theft of Pokémon!" The Sargeant said, coming in and Arcanine growled at them. They felt scared.
"Shit! We're screwed!" James exclaimed.
"Golduck! Use Confusion!" The second cop ordered. Golduck uses Confusion to hold Team Rocket down.
"Crap!" Team Rocket cursed.
"Get those wastes of flesh and blood out of my sight!" The Sargeant ordered.
Team Rocket were placed in the back of the van and drove off.
"Team Rocket's blasting off again," Team Rocket said.
"Good riddance," Sora said in his normal voice.
"I hope this experience has been thrilling for you, Sora," Officer Jenny said.
"It has. But I think I should leave police work to the police, and their Pokémon," Sora said.
"Well-said Sora," Kairi said.
"Agreed. But you sure have some real potential for it," Officer Jenny said.
"Also, I hope your bonds with your Growlithe gets even stronger," Sora said.
"So do I," Officer Jenny said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi continued on their journey and their training for Cinnabar Island. We will close for right now.
