Episode 77: Indigo Plateau Final Round
We now come down to the final round of the Pokémon League between Sora and Ash. Sora knew Ash wasn't going to hold back even though they're friends.
"Okay, Sora, it all comes down to this. We both it would come down to this. Give me everything you got," Ash said.
"Ash, I know how good a Trainer you are, and I'm expecting you to give me a run for my money, so really, make me run," Sora said.
One hour after the battles between the Pallet Town foursome, it was now down to Sora versus Ash. Sora has chosen Pikachu, Espeon, Umbreon, Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise for the battle.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the final battle of the Indigo Plateau Pokémon League is about to begin! Both of these young underdogs are both from Pallet Town, and only one of them will be going home with that winner's trophy!" The announcer announced.
Leaf sat with Kairi, Karen, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Professor Oak, Delia, Yuta, Mirei, Seth, Kairi's grandmother, Angel, Eevee, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, and Eclair to witness the final round.
In Pallet Town, Daisy has been watching the tournament from the very start and right to the end.
"Sora, Ash, I wish the both of you can win it," Daisy said. She knew it didn't work that way, but she wanted the best for the both of them, just like with her brother and Ash's battle.
In Porta Vista, Danny, Cattleya, and Yuki, Ventus's baby sister are watching the battle between Sora and Ash.
"Go get him, Sora," Danny said.
Back to Sora and Ash in the main stadium, they turn to each other with smiles on their faces.
"Hey, Sora, just know I'm not going to go easy on you just because we're friends," Ash said.
"I'm going to go easy on you either. Also, I don't want you to," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Let's do this thing," Sora said.
"You know it, Sora," Ash said.
They shook hands with each other.
"Good sportsmanship before the battle begins! It doesn't looks like friendship will slow them down!" The announcer announced.
"Ash, Sora! Do your best, the both of you!" Leaf called out to them.
Sora and Ash got into position for their battle.
"Ash and Sora are all set for the final battle! Let's get the show on the road!" The announcer announced. Ash took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Gyarados! Go!" Ash called out. Gyarados came right out with a roar. Sora turned to Pikachu.
"Go for it, Pikachu," Sora said.
"Chu," Pikachu said, stepping right in to battle.
"Ash has chosen Gyarados, and Sora has sent out Pikachu!" The announcer announced.
"Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fired Thunderbolt right at the Atrocious Pokémon.
"Gyarados! Dodge and use Aqua Tail!" Ash ordered. Gyarados dodges and came at the Mouse Pokémon with Aqua Tail and smacked him with it.
"Gyarados makes a good start with Aqua Tail!" The announcer announced.
"Use Ice Fang!" Ash ordered. Gyarados came at Pikachu with Ice Fang.
"Dodge with Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu dodges Gyarados's Ice Fang.
"Use Hydro Pump!" Ash ordered. Gyarados fired Hydro Pump right at the Mouse Pokémon. Pikachu got hit hard by the move.
"Gyarados has given Pikachu a good, clean, and wet hit with that Hydro Pump! How will Sora respond to this!" The announcer asked.
"Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fired Thunderbolt again, and it shocked Gyarados when it hits.
"Pikachu finally lands a hit with a Thunderbolt! Ash's Gyarados will be in serious trouble of this keeps up!" The announcer announced. Ash calls back Gyarados. "Ash is recalling Gyarados, so let's see what Pokémon is coming out now!" Ash took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Hypno!" Ash called out. Hypno came right out to battle.
"And Ash sends out Hypno, a Psychic-type Pokémon!" The announcer announced.
"Come on back, Pikachu!" Sora called out. Pikachu returns to Sora's side.
"Pikachu returns to Sora's side to rest up after taking all those hits from Gyarados's attacks!" The announcer announced. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Umbreon!" Sora called out. Umbreon came right out to battle Hypno.
"Sora's second Pokémon is Umbreon, a Dark-type Pokémon!" The announcer announced.
"Hypno! Use Headbutt!" Ash ordered. Hypno came at Umbreon with Headbutt.
"And here comes Hypno!" The announcer announced.
"Use Feint Attack!" Sora ordered. Umbreon vanishes and lands a hit with a tackle.
"A heavy hit with a Feint Attack!" The announcer announced.
"Hypno! Use Dazzling Gleam!" Ash ordered. Hypno forms a rainbow-colored orb of energy and threw it at the Moonlight Pokémon.
"Hypno sends out a Dazzling Gleam right at Umbreon! It'll land some heavy damage when that hits!" The announcer announced.
"Dodge and use Snarl!" Sora ordered. Umbreon dodges. Umbreon releases multiple purple and black rings of energy from its mouth at Hypno, dealing some heavy damage. "Use Dark Pulse!" Umbreon fired Dark Pulse, landing a hit. It dealt some heavy damage.
"Umbreon lands a hit with both Snarl and Dark Pulse!" The announcer announced.
"Use Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Umbreon dashed right at Hypno, dealing some extra damage.
"It looks all over for Hypno!" The announcer announced.
"Use Snarl!" Sora ordered. Umbreon fired Snarl right at Hypno, sending it back. Hypno has been knocked out.
"Hypno is unable to battle! Umbreon wins!" The referee announced.
"Sora makes the first win with Umbreon! Let's see if Ash will mount a comeback!" The announcer announced. Ash called back Hypno and pulled out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Your turn now, Ditto!" Ash called out. His Ditto came right out to battle.
"Ash's third Pokémon is a Ditto!" The announcer announced.
"Ditto! Transform!" Ash ordered. Ditto transforms into Umbreon.
"Ditto has transformed into Umbreon!" The announcer announced.
"Ditto! Use Quick Attack!" Ash ordered. Ditto dashed right at Umbreon.
"Use Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Umbreon dashes right at Ditto.
"Dodge and use Dark Pulse!" Ash ordered. Umbreon fired Dark Pulse and lands a heavy hit.
"Ditto has dealt some serious damage onto Umbreon!" The announcer announced.
"Use Quick Attack!" Ash ordered. Ditto uses another Quick Attack onto Umbreon, dealing some damage. Umbreon has been knocked out.
"Umbreon is unable to battle! Ditto wins!" The referee announced.
"Ash has taken the his first win with his Ditto!" The announcer announced as Ditto reverts back to its own form.
"Good work, Ditto," Ash praised Ditto.
"Ditto," Ditto said. Sora called back Umbreon and he smiled.
"You get take a good long rest, Umbreon. You earned it," Sora said. He took a look at Pikachu. "Okay, back to action, Pikachu."
"Pikachu," Pikachu said, nodding. He stepped back in the battlefield.
"Pikachu is sent back out to battle against Ditto!" The announcer announced.
"Ditto! Use Transform!" Ash ordered. Ditto transforms into Pikachu again.
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered as his Pikachu jumped in the air and fired Thunderbolt right at Ditto. The opposing Pikachu takes the attack like it was nothing.
"And it's a high-flying, high-voltage Thunderbolt attack from Pikachu, but Ditto is taking every jolt and every volt!" The announcer announced. Ditto shook it off. "Despite the super shock, Ditto is still standing strong!"
"Ditto! You use Thunderbolt as well!" Ash ordered. Ditto fired Thunderbolt right at back at Sora's Pikachu.
"Now Ditto thundering Pikachu, but this Pikachu proves it can take the heat!" The announcer announced.
"Pikachu! Electro Ball!" Sora ordered. Sora's Pikachu forms a ball of electricity and hurls it towards Ditto.
"Ditto! Use Electro Ball!" Ash ordered. Ditto forms an orange-yellow orb of electricity and fires it. It collides with Pikachu's Electro Ball and causes an explosion.
"And here is what I meant by sparks flying! Something's gotta give!" The announcer announced.
"Electro Ball again!" Ash ordered. Ditto fired the Electro Ball right towards Sora's.
"Pikachu! Dodge it!" Sora called out. Sora's Pikachu tries to get away, but Ditto's Electro Ball came too quick for Pikachu to get away.
"Pikachu now looks like a fly caught in a spiderweb as it gets caught inside of Electro Ball. Ash may have won this round!" The announcer announced.
"Use Quick Attack!" Sora called out. Pikachu ran across the battlefield and lands a hit onto Ditto.
"Okay, Ditto! You, use Quick Attack now!" Ash ordered as Ditto ran towards Pikachu and he goes flying up in the air. "Keep using Quick Attack!" Ditto ran across the battlefield. It turns to make another strike at Pikachu with full force.
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fired Thunderbolt right at Ditto.
"Sora is trying a different approach!" The announcer announced. Pikachu fired Thunderbolt and Ditto dodges the attacks. "Ash's Ditto dodges Pikachu's Thunderbolt and keeps on coming!"
"Pikachu! Electro Ball now!" Ash ordered. Ditto fires Electro Ball right at Pikachu hoping to hit Pikachu again. Sora wasn't fooled with that one.
"No, you don't! Pikachu! Dodge it with Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu ran past Electro Ball just before the electrifiedball could hit.
"Let's match speed for speed! Quick Attack!" Ash called out. Both Pikachu and Ditto ran across the battlefield matching their speed. Both Pikachu and Ditto collide with each other as they both used Thunderbolt right at the same time.
"Those two are really turning up the juice!" The announcer announced. Ditto had started to lose its edge and Pikachu landed on top of Ditto. It turns out that Ditto had taken more damage from Pikachu.
"Now finish it with Iron Tail!" Sora ordered. Pikachu got ready to swing at Ditto with Iron Tail. Ditto didn't have enough reaction time and gets struck by Pikachu's Iron Tail before Ash could do anything about it. Ditto was knocked out and reverted back to its own form.
"Ditto is unable to battle! Pikachu wins!" The referee announced.
"And that ends the Pokémon mirror match as Pikachu has proven to have a much more shocking impact!" The announcer announced.
"Not bad, Sora," Ash said, calling back Ditto. "Okay, here's my next Pokémon, Nidoking!" His Pokéball opened and a blue Nidoking. Stars swirls around the Drill Pokémon upon entry.
"Ash's fourth Pokémon is a Shiny Nidoking! It doesn't look like Pikachu's Electric-type moves are even going to phase Nidoking since it's a Ground-type!" The announcer announced.
"Okay, Pikachu, come back for now," Sora said. Pikachu comes back to Sora's side. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go for it, Blastoise!" Sora called out. Blastoise came on out to battle next.
"Sora's third Pokémon is a Blastoise! He made the right call when it comes to types!" The announcer announced.
"Blastoise! Use Hydro Pump!" Sora ordered. Blastoise fired Hydro Pump right at the Shiny Drill Pokémon.
"Dodge with Dig!" Ash ordered. Nidoking dug into the earth to dodge Blastoise's Hydro Pump.
"Nidoking dodges Blastoise's Hydro Pump by using Dig! Ash has done his homework to go around type weaknesses!" The announcer announced. Nidoking came right out of the ground.
"Nidoking! Use Thunder Punch!" Ash ordered. Nidoking's fist emits electricity and lands a punch on Blastoise.
"Another proof of Ash's cleverness is the use of Thunder Punch on this large turtle Pokémon!" The announcer announced.
"Use Thunder Punch again!" Ash ordered.
"Blastoise! Dodge and use Ice Punch!" Sora ordered. Blastoise came at Nidoking and lands an icy punch onto Nidoking.
"Blastoise makes a comeback with an Ice Punch! Ash's Nidoking is making a huge push, and Sora's Blastoise is pushing just as hard!" The announcer announced.
"Nidoking! Use Hyper Beam!" Ash ordered. Nidoking opened his mouth and fired Hyper Beam right at the Shellfish Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Flash Cannon!" Sora ordered. Blastoise barely avoids Nidoking's Hyper Beam and fired Flash Cannon, landing a hit. Nidoking is struck hard by Blastoise's Flash Cannon.
"Nidoking misses its mark with that Hyper Beam while Blastoise fires an epic Flash Cannon!" The announcer announced.
"Ice Punch!" Sora ordered. Blastoise came at Nidokin and gave the Drill Pokémon one more Ice Punch, resulting in a knockout.
"Nidoking is unable to battle! Blastoise wins!" The referee announced.
"You're up now, Machamp!" Ash called out. His Pokéball opened and Machamp came on out and flexed its muscles.
"Ash's fifth Pokémon is his Machamp! Will Sora be swapping his Blastoise for another, or will Sora be sticking with Blastoise?" The announcer asked. Sora called back Blastoise. "Sora calls back Machamp, so will Sora be sending out a Flying, Psychic, or Fairy-type Pokémon?" Sora took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Espeon!" Sora called out. Espeon came on out to battle against Ash's Machamp.
"Sora has sent out Espeon to combat Ash's Machamp! Espeon is a Psychic-type Pokémon, so Sora has the advantage!" The announcer announced.
"Machamp! Use Bullet Punch!" Ash ordered.
"Espeon! Dodge with Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Espeon dodges with Quick Attack.
"Machamp makes a shaky start by missing with its Bullet Punch!" The announcer announced.
"Use Psybeam!" Sora ordered. Espeon fires Psybeam at Machamp, dealing a super-effective hit.
"Espeon scores a direct hit with Psybeam!" The announcer announced.
"Machamp! Use Throat Chop!" Ash ordered. Machamp comes at Espeon with one of its hands giving off a purple aura. Machamp lands a hit with Throat Chop.
"Machamp's Throat Chop works its magic on Espeon! Teaching Machamp a Dark-type move is a genius move on Ash's part!" The announcer announced.
"Espeon! Use Psychic!" Sora ordered. Espeon uses Psychic to lift Machamp into the air.
"Now Espeon is holding Machamp with its Psychic move!" The announcer announced. Espeon brings Machamp down hard. Machamp has been taken down.
"Machamp is unable to battle! Espeon wins!" The announcer announced.
"Four down, two to go! Ash has better come up with a strategy and soon, or the championship battle is good as over for him!" The announcer announced. Ash called back his Machamp and he smiled.
"That was great, Sora. You grew stronger than you were since our last battle," Ash said. He took out his Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Gyarados!" His Pokéball opened up and re-entered the battle.
"Ash sends Gyarados back out to battle against Sora's team! I wonder if Gyarados can keep going after its earlier battle with Pikachu!" The announcer announced.
"Espeon! Use Psybeam!" Sora ordered. Espeon fired Psybeam at Gyarados, but Ash just grinned.
"Thought you'd try that. Use Aqua Tail to block it!" Ash ordered. Gyarados swings its tail to block the psychic beam with its tail.
"Uh-oh! It looks like Ash isn't taking any chances with Espeon! He must have something up his sleeve!" The announcer announced.
"Use Giga Impact!" Ash ordered. Gyarados's body becomes surrounded in a purple aura with yellow stripes of aura spiraling around the purple aura. Gyarados then slams into Espeon very quickly before Sora could tell Espeon to dodge.
"Wow! Gyarados lands a heavy blow with Giga Impact!" The announcer announced. Espeon tried to get back up, but he fell back down, beaten.
"Espeon is unable to battle! Gyarados wins!" The referee announced.
"And Espeon has been taken down by Gyarados with the use of Giga Impact! Sora has lost two of his Pokémon! Sora will probably be sending Pikachu back out to battle against that Gyarados!" The announcer announced.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"No, Pikachu, you're still roughed up from your battle with that Ditto. You should sit this one out for right now," Sora said.
"Chu," Pikachu pouted. Sora took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Okay, Venusaur! Your turn!" Sora called out. Venusaur came right out to battle next.
"Sora has sent out Venusaur to deal with Gyarados! Gyarados isn't able to attack again right away after using Giga Impact!" The announcer announced.
"Venusaur! Use Vine Whip!" Sora ordered. Venusaur gave Venusaur a smack with Vine Whip.
"Venusaur makes a good start with Vine Whip!" The announcer announced.
"Okay, Venusaur! Use Take Down!" Sora ordered. Venusaur charges at Gyarados and lands a hit. He suffers some recoil damage from use.
"Venusaur came at Gyarados with Take Down! And Venusaur has suffered a recoil aftertaste!" The announcer announced.
"Use Ice Fang!" Ash ordered. Gyarados came at Venusaur with Ice Fang, dealing some heavy damage.
"Gyarados makes good use of its Ice Fang, taking advantage to Venusaur's weakness to Ice-type moves!" The announcer announced.
"Use Solar Beam!" Sora ordered. Venusaur began to build up some energy from his flower.
"Venusaur is preparing to fire Solar Beam!" The announcer announced.
"Now's my chance to move in while Venusaur is charging up to use Solar Beam! Gyarados! Use Giga Impact!" Ash ordered. Gyarados charges at Venusaur with another Giga Impact.
"Gyarados comes at Venusaur with Giga Impact!" The announcer announced. Gyarados came at Venusaur before he could fire his Solar Beam.
"Venusaur didn't fire Solar Beam in time, and Venusaur has taken a lot of damage!" The announcer announced.
"Use Razor Leaf!" Sora ordered. Venusaur fired Razor Leaf at Gyarados, taking the hit from Venusaur's Razor Leaf.
"Taking advantage of Gyarados's temporary vulnerability, Venusaur fires Razor Leaf right at Gyarados!" The announcer announced.
"Use Vine Whip!" Sora ordered. Venusaur unleashed Vine Whip again.
"Use Aqua Tail to block it!" Ash ordered. Gyarados swings its tail and cancels out Venusaur's Vine Whip.
"Gyarados has blocked Venusaur's Vine Whip with Aqua Tail!" The announcer announced.
"Use Ice Fang!" Ash ordered. Gyarados rushes at Venusaur and lands a series of icy bites onto Venusaur.
"Gyarados lands some chilly bites with its Ice Fang, making it both freezing and painful for Venusaur!" The announcer announced.
"One more Ice Fang!" Ash ordered. Gyarados lands one more Ice Fang, finishing off Venusaur. The Seed Pokémon goes down for the count.
"Venusaur is unable to battle! Gyarados wins!" The referee announced.
"Sora is now down to three Pokémon and Ash is down to two! Which one will Sora send out next?" The announcer asked. Sora called back Venusaur and took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Blastoise! Back to action!" Sora called out. Blastoise came back out to battle against Gyarados.
"Blastoise is sent back out to take on Gyarados!" The announcer announced.
"Use Ice Fang!" Ash ordered. Gyarados came rushing at Blastoise with Ice Fang.
"Use Ice Punch!" Sora ordered. Blastoise lands an Ice Punch in the face when it came right at the Shellfish Pokémon.
"Blastoise lands an Ice Punch to block its Ice Fang!" The announcer announced.
"Use Flash Cannon!" Sora ordered. Blastoise fired Flash Cannon, landing a hit with Flash Cannon. Gyarados has been taken down.
"Gyarados is unable to battle! Blastoise wins!" The referee announced.
"Now Ash is down to one Pokémon remaining! Will Sora make quick work of his last Pokémon, or will Ash push back hard? We are about to find out!" The announcer announced. Ash called Gyarados back and took out his final Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Charizard!" Ash called out. Charizard emerged to battle.
"Ash's final Pokémon is Charizard! Blastoise is a Water-type Pokémon, but Ash's Charizard has taken down Gary's Blastoise, but will it be a repeat?" The announcer asked.
"Blastoise! Use Hydro Pump!" Sora ordered.
"Dodge and use Fire Blast! Full power!" Ash ordered. Charizard dodges and unleashes a powerful Fire Blast and struck Blastoise on the spot.
"Charizard has just given Blastoise a red-hot Fire Blast! Looks like Ash is making a huge comeback!" The announcer announced.
"Use Mega Punch!" Ash ordered. Charizard lands a Mega Punch onto Blastoise, sending him against the wall. Blastoise has been taken down.
"Blastoise is unable to battle! Charizard wins!"The referee announced.
"Now Sora is down to two Pokémon remaining! Which Pokémon is going to use next against Ash's Charizard!" The announcer announced. Sora took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Charizard!" Sora called out. His Charizard out to battle against Ash's Charizard.
"Once again, it's going to be a mirror match! So which Charizard is going to be standing?" The announcer asked.
"Charizard! Use Flamethrower!" Sora ordered. Sora's Charizard fired Flamethrower right at Ash's Charizard.
"Dodge and use Fire Spin!" Ash ordered. Ash's Charizard dodges and fired Fire Spin right at Sora's Charizard.
"Sora's Charizard dodges Ash's Charizard's Fire Spin after missing with its Flamethrower!" The announcer announced.
"Use Dragon Claw!" Sora ordered. Sora's Charizard came at Ash's Charizard with a Dragon Claw.
"Dodge and use Slash!" Ash ordered. Ash's Charizard dodged and lands a hit Sora's Charizard. "Use Mega Punch!" Ash's Charizard lands a Mega Punch onto Sora's Charizard on the stomach.
"Ash's Charizard's has beaned Sora's Charizard in the bread basket! Sora's Charizard will be feeling that for a week!" The announcer announced.
"Use Fire Blast!" Ash ordered. Ash's Charizard fired Fire Blast right at Sora's Charizard, taking advantage of his opponent's disposition.
"Ash's Charizard lands a red-hot Fire Blast onto Sora's Charizard! Wonder if Sora's Charizard will be standing after this!" The announcer announced. Sora's Charizard tries to get back up, but fell back down, beaten.
"Sora's Charizard is unable to battle! Ash's Charizard wins!" The referee announced.
"Now Sora is down to one Pokémon left to use! And judging by how this is going, this match could go either way!" The announcer announced.
"Sora's Charizard lost against Ash's Charizard so easily," Ventus said.
"That's because Ash's Charizard is more experienced in battle than Sora's Charizard is," Riku said.
"So it's down to Pikachu versus Charizard," Karen said.
"Pikachu," Blossom said.
Sora turned to his partner.
"It all comes down to this, Pikachu," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said with a nod.
"And now that Pikachu is on the battlefield, the final round is about to begin!" The announcer announced.
"Pikachu! Electro Ball!" Sora called out. Pikachu formed a ball of electricity and sent it towards Charizard.
"Charizard Fire Blast!" Ash ordered. Charizard fired its Fire Blast and cancels out Electro Ball and heads to Pikachu.
"Pikachu! Dodge it! Quick Attack!" Sora called out. Pikachu ran across the battlefield and manages to avoid Fire Blast. Pikachu landed a hit on Charizard in the gut. "Now use Iron Tail!" Pikachu swung at Charizard with his tail and smacked it at its left cheek.
"Slash!" Ash ordered. Charizard swipes its claws to land a hit.
"Pikachu! Dodge it!" Sora called out. Pikachu jumps as Charizard swipes and swipes and the attacks misses as Pikachu dodges out of the way. "Thunderbolt!" Pikachu shocks Charizard dealing heavy damage.
"Fire Blast!" Ash ordered. Charizard sends out Fire Blast to Pikachu. Pikachu used his tail as a spring and jumped out of the way before Fire Blast could him.
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Pikachu! Electro Ball!" Sora called out. Pikachu forms a ball of electricity and sends it to Charizard. The attack does hit. "Great! Electro Ball again!" Pikachu forms another ball of electricity and threw it to hit the Flame Pokémon.
"Charizard! Fire Blast!" Ash called out. Charizard sends out Fire Blast. Both attacks collided with each other. It cteated a black smoke covering the stadium.
"Sparks are really flying here! These two are throwing everything at each other! Not one of is backing away!" The announcer announced. "If I didn't know better, I could have sworn they're enjoying this battle!"
Kairi knew the announcer was right because she could tell how much Sora was having fun with this battle. The same can be said for Ash. He was having fun with Sora. She knew they had a lot of fun since they were little kids. Both Trainers knew only one of them was gonna go on.
"Pikachu! Jump onto Charizard's back!" Sora called out. Pikachu jumped on and and it tries to get the yellow mouse Pokémon off.
"Get Pikachu off your back!" Ash called out.
"Now Pikachu is riding on Charizard's back like it was a bronco! Ride 'em Pikachu!" The announcer announced.
"Yippe ki yay! Way to go, Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora called out. Pikachu shocked Charizard with full power. Pikachu got off just after Charizard fell to the ground.
"Charizard is unable to battle! Pikachu wins! Sora Ketchum from Pallet Town wins!" The referee announced. The crowd starts roaring.
"And there it is! Sora has won the Indigo Plateau Pokémon League! Both Trainers have given us all quite a show for thos outstanding battle!" The announcer announced.
Sora and Ash went up to each other and they high-five each other for the well-done battle.
"That was an epic battle, Sora. I had loads of fun battling you," Ash said.
"So did I, Ash. I thought you had me ever since you brought out your Charizard," Sora said.
"I didn't care which one of us had to win the final round, as long as one of us had to win," Ash said.
That night, the time had come for the closing ceremony as President Goodshow presented the winners trophy as Ash and Leaf stood on the stage along with him. Many of the competitors applauded for Sora. Gary, and most of the Trainers that competed applauded with them.
As the closing ceremony had concluded, Riku, Naminé, and Eevee left the group and headed off to Saffron City to meet Naminé's parents. Terra, Ventus, and Aqua left to return to Porta Vista and promised to be there for the celebration party along with their parents. Sora and Pikachu were packing up and getting ready to head on home, Professor Oak approached the Pokémon Trainer.
"Hey professor," Sora greeted. "What's up?"
The Pokémon professor smiles and replied, "Just wanted to say that I am proud of you, Sora." He places his hand on his shoulder. "You really have come a long way ever since you began your journey. From the beginning, I had some doubts about you being a Pokémon trainer, but after seeing how well you battled out there, I can clearly see that those doubts are completely unfounded." Professor Oak looked over to Pikachu. "You have done a wonderful job raising your Pikachu. And now look at you. Champion of the Indigo Plateau Pokémon League!" Sora smiled.
"Thank you, professor," Sora said.
"Your accomplishments is not to be taken lightly, because you have achieved something not many could have," Professor Oak said. "You have grown up so much since then. But you're still the same as ever."
"I didn't do it alone, professor," Sora said.
"Oh? Is that so?" Professor Oak asked.
"I had Kairi with me the whole time," Sora said. "But not just Kairi, Karen, and everybody here; and that includes my cousin Ven and Terra and Aqua there too. And even Riku and Naminé." The professor laughs as he knew what he meant.
"Of course. You had the strength of your friends beside you," Professor Oak said. "That is something you should always take with pride. Just wish Gary would take that to heart as well."
With that said, Sora, Pikachu, and the professor steps out to see Kairi, her family, Delia, Karen waiting for them. They all head back to Pallet Town. Just as they reached their houses, Sora and Kairi looked at each other and gives each other a passionate kiss under the moonlight. Their kiss lasts for fifteen seconds before they went inside with the memory of Sora's achievements still fresh in their minds. Unknown to them, Axel smiled and went through the corridor of darkness. It closes as he walked through.
