Chapter One-hundred and fifty-nine: FiGhT mEh YoU cOwArD! (part one)

The heroes were continuing on their way to Cyllage City, and as the reborn trainers had the feeling that they were skipping something involving evil Malamar for some odd reason, they were stopped outside of a Pokémon Center due to seeing two boys, the slightly older one with a Fletchinder and the slightly younger one with a Fletchling, talk to one another. Due to hearing the boys talking, the heroes were able to tell that they were brothers, and that the older one is named Nico while the younger one is named Chester. They also sounded like they were rapping for some odd reason.

"Hey boys!" Trip called out, getting Nico and Chester to calm down and turn to look at them. "Mind explaining what all it is that you boys are talking about?"

"Preferably without rapping?" Kenny added, his tone making it clear he wasn't in the mood for rapping.

"We were just talking about the Battle Chateau, which is located nearby," Nico explained, both him and Chester getting the idea that Kenny would react negatively if they continued with their rapping shtick, "It's where trainers can go to have battles and increase their noble rank."

"Trainers can become nobles?" Clemont asked, sounding surprised.

Nico nodded in the affirmative. "Only within the Battle Chateau though. However, I have heard that trainers who have high enough noble ranks in the Battle Chateau occasionally get scouted by actual Kalosian noble families to potentially have the trainers marry into the family."

"All I heard is battles!" Ash said, "That's good enough for me!" At Serena's insistence, the brothers led the heroes over to the Battle Chateau, eager to see what all wonders that were there, and also the reborn trainers could tell full well Serena wanted to see Ash flourish. Serena wasn't the only one; Trip also harbored a desire to see the boy from Pallet Town, Kanto reach the very top, as he felt Ash deserved.

...

Later, the heroes were led by Nico and Chester into the Battle Chateau. While there, Nico arranged to have Cehster get a debut battle while Ash looked into things as well in the hopes of getting to battle. Kenny and Trip both declined entering any battles, saying that they weren't all that fond of nobility as a while right now due to some sour experiences regarding what they had learned a certain noble girl did to a certain former Kalosian regional hero. However, Kenny did push Dawn into entering, citing how getting a high noble rank in the Battle Chateau would help her with more instances where she had to use diplomacy, like when she helped resolved the issues back in Camphrier Town and Parfum Palace.

As such, Ash and Dawn ended up entered into the ranking up event at the Battle Chateau. As they were waiting for things to start, they and the heroes heard the familiar voice of Viola, the Santalune Gym leader, call out to them. "Hey, you're those powerful trainers from a while ago!" Viola said as she reached the heroes.

"Oh, Viola!" Ash said, "What brings you here?"

Smirking a bit, Viola replied, "The ranking up event, of course. I actually hold the Duchess rank at the Battle Chateau, and I need just one more win to advance to the highest rank, Grand Duchess."

"Speaking of, we ran into an actual noble of the Grand Duchess rank," Trip said, "Grand Duchess Sabine."

Viola looked a bit faltering when she heard Trip mention the actual Grand Duchess noble. "...Ah yes, the lady whose spoiled daughter ruined the life of one of the greatest regional heroes Kalos had even known." Gently shaking her head, Viola said, "But putting that aside, I'm aiming to battle Grant. He's a duke here at the Battle Chateau, and he's one more win away from being a Grand Duke."

"Grant?" Bonnie said in a curious tone.

Chuckling a bit, Viola replied, "Oh, you guys don't know. Well, since Ash, Dawn, Kenny, and Trip are all aiming to gather Kalos gym badges, I ought to inform you all that Grant is the gym leader in charge of the gym over in Cyllage City."

Although the reborn trainers knew ahead of time, thanks to knowledge from their previous lives, they had to play dumb. "Ooh ho ho," Kenny said, "The Cyllage City gym leader is here? Then I can battle him and-"

"Actually, you can't battle Grant here," Viola interrupted, "Sorry, but you don't look entered into the ranking up event, and even if you were, your rank would be far too low to allow you to challenge Grant. You'll have to wait until you reach Cyllage City."

Dawn nodded in understanding. "Fair enough. I'm here mainly because some of the boys think me having a decent rank here in the Battle Chateau would help me with diplomacy when talking to notable persons here in Kalos."

Viola arched a wry eyebrow at Dawn. "...But you're already the Champion of a foreign region. In social circles here in Kalos, that would make you at least as stand out as a Battle Chateau Grand Duke or Grand Duchess."

Shrugging, Dawn said, "Again, it wasn't my idea. I'm just-"

*CRASH*

Dawn was cut off when she and the others heard someone fall down from a height and crash into the floor. Looking over, they all saw it was Grant, the Cyllage City gym leader. Again, the reborn trainers had to let others make the introductions. "Grant, what were you doing?" Viola asked.

Getting up and dusting himself off, the now identified (to the others) Grant said, "Sorry, but I just had to climb the walls here. The historic walls here pose a challenge to a rock climber such as myself that I can't resist."

"The fact you fell crashing into the floor from such a height and were able to immediately get back up afterwards no worse for wear is a sign of how durable you are," Dawn said as she and the rest of the heroes (Nico and Chester went off to do something) met Grant, "And anyway, since Viola had identified you as Grant and she said that Grant is the name of the gym leader in Cyllage City, can I assume that you're that gym leader Grant?"

Grant, looking at Dawn for a moment, nodded once before saying, "Yeah, I'm Grant the Cyllage City gym leader alright. And you're Dawn Berlitz, the Sinnoh Champion. I saw the news report where you helped with quelling a berserk Garchomp in Lumiose City that was confirmed to have been sent into a frenzy by the scheming of Team Scorn. I also saw the part where you rode around on the back of a legendary dragon Pokémon." Seeing that Dawn was waiting to have a battle to get a rank in the Battle Chateau, Grant said, "I assume you're here for the ranking ceremony?"

Nodding once, Dawn said, "It was Kenny's and Trip's idea. They think me having a noble rank at the Battle Chateau will give me more diplomatic weight to throw around if the need to do so arises."

Letting out a sigh of relief, Grant said, "Well thank goodness I won't have to battle you today. With what all time is allowed, there's no way you'd rank up quickly enough to have a battle with me here." Giving Dawn an even look, Grant went on, "It'll give me more time to prepare for when you and your friends reahc my gym in Cyllage City. I got it you're on something of a tour around regions to earn the badges offered at the gyms there, and the gym leaders you've faced used the battles with you as an excuse to see if you're continuously able to help with the fight against Team Scorn."

"Kenny, Trip, Ash, and I will all be gunning for your gym after today," Dawn informed the Cyllage City gym leader.

Nodding once in agreement, Grant replied, "Fair enough. Anyway, wish me luck in the ranking ceremony today." The heroes and Viola waved Grant off, with Viola telling Grant to watch out for her later. With all of that business taken care of, the heroes got cracking on the ranking ceremony once it was announced that it would be starting up in a few moments.

And so, the ranking ceremony at the Battle Chateau began. Ash won a battle against Chester, thanks to Pikachu taking out Chester's Fletchling, and thus became a Baron of the Battle Chateau. As for Dawn, she knocked another girl's Snover out in one hit by having Chi-Chi use Fire Punch, thus bumping Dawn up to the rank of Baroness in the Battle Chateau. Viola took a photo of Ash and Dawn together to commemorate their attaining of noble titles, right before Viola herself was challenged by Grant to see who between them will get the win they need to rank up to Grand Duke or Grand Duchess.

Viola sent out her Surskit as an answer to Grant's Onix. Although Surskit was part water type thus it had a times four super effective advantage against the dual rock-ground Onix, Surskit was also part bug type which made it vulnerable to Onix's rock type. As such, Grant ended up netting a win against Viola, and as such ranked up to being a Grand Duke in the Battle Chateau. During their battle, however, Ash and the reborn trainers took mental notes, so as to get ready for what all laid in store for them at Grant's gym in Cyllage City.

...

"Oh yeah, I do specialize in the rock type," Grant said as the heroes and Viola were seeing him off, "That being said, Ash, Dawn, Kenny, Trip, you four better be ready for a rock hard challenge."

The heroes aiming to challenge the Cyllage City gym all nodded in agreement and, after one last good-bye, Grant took off. Viola likewise said she had to return to her gym in Santalune City, but said she'd hope to see the heroes again one day. With that, the heroes after saying good-bye as well to Nico and Chester, hit the road once again so they could continue their journey to Cyllage City.

The heroes, after a brief detour where they helped Serena with getting on TV in some fashion, arrived in Ambrette Town, where they were stunned by the open view of the sea. "...Such beauty," Kenny said, "So simple yet to elegant..."

As the heroes looked around, they saw to their curiosity that a few Officer Jennys were directing people away from the beach while asking them to return to their homes. This got the attention of the heroes, who feared that something was up. They went over to ask the Officer Jennys what was going on, and to their relief an officer Jenny who had long hair tied off into a ponytail with a scrunchy and she also wore big round lensed glasses stopped them, focusing particularly on Dawn. "So that news report from Lumiose City was right," the glasses Jenny said, "Sinnoh Champion Dawn Berlitz really IS in the Kalos region."

Nodding once, Dawn said, "I am, yes. My friends and I were wondering what was going on, as we saw you and the other Jennys here shooing people from the beach while telling them to go home."

"Well, considering that you have a reputation of consistently beating the pants off of Team Scorn when you and your friends battle them, it'd actually help us out a whole lot if you got in on things here," the glasses Jenny replied.

"So Team Scorn's involved?" Ash said, his expression instantly turning bitter.

Nodding once, the glasses Jenny said, "We got word that Team Scorn's going to try to act up here in Ambrette Town. Security is tight enough as it is, what with how a local convention hall is rented out for a Hisuian history tour-"

"-A tour of exhibits from the Hisuian period of Sinnoh's history?" Dawn asked.

"...Yes," the glasses Jenny said, "Do you-"

"Does the tour also have as part of the exhibit the skeletal remains of an alpha Hisuian Pokémon?" Dawn asked.

After thinking about it, the glasses Jenny said, "I... actually don't know. All of the exhibits are stored in wooden crates at the fossil research lab here in Ambrette Town, and some reporter girl who I gathered is related to Viola the Santalune City gym leader is over at the fossil research lab, so you can ask her for more details. Just... be understanding if she's a bit on edge, she's being hounded by some of my fellow officers who got it into their heads she might be a spy working for Team Scorn."

The heroes all looked confused at what the glasses Jenny said. "A reporter they think is a Team Scorn spy?"

...

Upon reaching Ambrette Town's fossil research lab, the heroes were greeted by the sight of Alexa, Viola's older sister. Two other Officer Jennys were questioning her in the front lobby of the fossil research lab when the heroes walked in. "Oh, it's you guys!" Alexa said when the heroes walked in, "I don't suppose you all can give me a hand here?"

"This lady is suspected of being a Team Scorn sanctioned spy!" the first Officer Jenny, her hair in a bob cut also the first Jenny was notably chubby, said while pointing an accusing finger at Alexa.

"What makes you ladies say that?" Serena asked.

Pointing at Alexa, the second Officer Jenny, this one nearly bone thin and she had long wavy hair and wore aviator shades, said, "She came here asking about the process of reviving Pokémon from fossils, also she was asking about the exhibits that were part of the Hisuian history tour!"

Gesturing to Alexa, Dawn said with the driest of looks and in the driest of tones, "She's a reporter working for a news magazine. She's just looking for scoops to put into her reporting so as to see bigger numbers in readership. There's no way she's a Team Scorn sanctioned spy." It was around that time that the glasses Jenny came in and, seeing what all was going on, explained things to her fellow Jennys. That helped to clear the air up and get Alexa off the hook. After the three Jennys took off, the heroes and Alexa were approached by two staff members of the fossil research lab.

One was Thaddeus, a scientist looking man who wore glasses, and a scientist looking lady who was approximately as chubby as the chubby Jenny that was in there earlier. "Thanks for helping to clear things up there for us," Thaddeus said, "Those first two Jennys were raising quite a bit of stink over that reporter girl who I can tell isn't a 'Team Scorn sanctioned spy' as they put it. She just gives vibes of being a wholly good person."

"Why thank you for that assessment," Alexa replied, "Anyway, I was hoping to ask a few questions pertaining to your work here with reviving Pokémon from fossils, also if you could give any details on the exhibits being stored here for the Hisuian history tour."

"Well we'd be more than glad to help out," replied the chubby scientist woman, "But Mr. Thaddeus here first needs help with some work over in Glittering Cave, over on the other end of Route 9, also known as Spikes Passage."

Nodding once in the affirmative, Thaddeus explained, "A number of Pokémon fossils are over there, mainly at least one each of Skull, Armor, Dome, Helix, Cover, Plume, Claw, and Root fossils. I need help getting them over here to the fossil research lab, mainly help in the form of security as I fear Team Scorn may try to steal some of the fossils for their own nefarious schemes, whatever those schemes may be."

Shrugging, Dawn replied, "It wouldn't be the first time Team Scorn was in the business of messing with Pokémon fossils. I'm sure my friends here and I will all agree to go to Glittering Cave to help see to the safe escort of those fossils. Oh, before we go, I gotta ask." Looking at Thaddeus and the chubby scientist girl, Dawn asked, "Can you tell me if one of the exhibits for the Hisuian history tour that are being stored here until the exhibition is ready is the skeletal remains of an alpha Hisuian Pokémon?"

Pointing to Dawn, the chubby scientist girl said, "Why as a matter of fact, yes. One of the exhibits is the skeletal remains of an alpha Hisuian Braviary."

"Keep it far away from your fossil revival machine," Dawn advised before she and the rest of the heroes, joined by Alexa, went off to Glittering Cave, so as to gather and safely bring back the fossils.

Just as Dawn had remembered from the games in her previous life, traveling along Route 9 in Kalos required one to ride a Rhyhorn. Luckily, each of the humans got a Rhyhorn each to ride. To Ash's surprise, he noted that Serena seemed to be a natural at riding Rhyhorns, to which Serena said that with a mother like Grace who is a big name in Rhyhorn racing, she naturally got a lot of experience riding Rhyhorns. As the group rode towards Glittering Cave, Ash asked, "Hey Dawn."

"Yes, Ash?" Dawn replied, wondering what it was Ash was curious about.

"Why did you ask if there was the skeletal remains of an alpha Hisuian Pokémon among the exhibits that are going to be displayed soon at the Hisuian history tour?" Ash asked.

Sighing, Dawn explained, "Because the last few times there was a Hisuian exhibit tour of some kind, they had skeletal remains of alpha Hisuian Pokémon, and they were always near fossil revival tech, and the skeletal remains ended up being used to revive living breathing alpha Hisuian Pokémon into modern times. It's how Kenny and I caught his alpha Hisuian Lilligant and my alpha Hisuian Arcanine respectively back in Kanto. Additionally, it's how Trip caught his alpha Hisuian Goodra in Sinnoh, and it's how Ideku caught his alpha Hisuian Typhlosion in Unova. The incidents where Trip and Ideku caught alpha Hisuian Pokémon also involved Team Scorn actively making events take place; the incident where Kenny and I caught alpha Hisuian Pokémon was completely random."

Clemont had a grim look on his face. "And there's Team Scorn activity happening in the area of Ambrette Town, as well as maybe over in Glittering Cave."

"Exactly," Trip said, "We don't want to have a-"

"Helio?"

Trip was cut off when he and the others heard a Helioptile cry out in curiosity. Looking over, the heroes saw a Helioptile sitting on a nearby boulder, looking at them with a cute and mildly silly expression, with a little of its tongue sticking out in a 'blep' manner. "Oh, it's a wild Helioptile," Alexa remarked, "It probably saw us passing on through here and wanted to get our attention. I bet it thinks we can give it some food."

"I have an individually wrapped honey bun," Trip said as he opened his bag and took out the sweet in question. Upon unwrapping the honey bun and showing Helioptile it was food by taking a bite out of it, Helioptile ran straight over to the Rhyhorn that Trip was riding on, climbed up the Rhyhorn, climbed into Trip's lap, and immediately began reaching its head towards the honey bun, making licking motions with its tongue as it tried reaching for what it now knew was food. Smiling in amusement, Trip tore off a bit of the honey bun and offered it to Helioptile who, upon tasting it, immediately ate the rest of the bit before trying to reach for the rest of the honey bun.

Trip chuckled in amusement as Helioptile remained firmly in his lap as it wanted more food. "I think Helioptile here will wanna stick with us," Dawn remarked in amusement as she and the rest of the group continued onward towards Glittering Cave, with Helioptile eventually eating up the rest of Trip's honey bun and curling up in Trip's lap to settle down.

...

Soon enough, the heroes plus Alexa and the wild Helioptile they recruited made it to Glittering Cave. They headed inside and eventually made it to the back, where they helped with getting a large crate of Pokémon fossils ready to ship out. As they worked, Kenny accidentally knocked some heavy and durable gear over onto some nearby rocks, smashing those rocks up entirely. Kenny would have been chewed out by the scientists there who were supervising things, but they saw the gear was unharmed. Additionally, Kenny's clumsiness lead to the finding of a Jaw Fossil and a Sail Fossil.

Dawn similarly accidentally knocked over a thing of heavy and durable gear, which smashed into a rock and revealed an Old Amber. "Oh, that can be revived into an Aerodactyl," a male scientist said, "Similar to how the Jaw and Sail Fossils that Kenny found can be revived into a Tyrunt and an Amaura respectively." The three fossils found by Kenny's and Dawn respective clumsiness were added to the lot of fossils already found and, after making sure the gear was still okay (it's a good thing all of the gear were heavy and durable), the heroes, Alexa, and the friendly wild Helioptile took off.

...

Eventually, the group made it back to the fossil research lab. While there, Trip took the opportunity to officially capture the friendly Helioptile he befriended; it ended up being male. "I think the best name for him will be Mitsu," Trip said as he gave a name to the now dubbed Mitsu, who just stuck a small bit of his tongue back out in a 'blep' style manner.

"I wonder how he'll get along with my own Helioptile," Alexa remarked as she saw Bonnie try to reach up to pet Mitsu, who instead of letting Bonnie pet him licked the hand she was reaching towards him with. As Bonnie giggled in amusement, Thaddeus and the chubby scientist girl came back out.

"Thanks again for bringing back the fossils," Thaddeus said, "And I got it that you had also helped to find a Jaw Fossil, a Sail Fossil, and an Old Amber?"

Gesturing to herself and Kenny, Dawn said, "I found the Old Amber, Kenny found the Jaw and Sail Fossils."

Clapping his hands together, Thaddeus said, "Then as thanks for helping, would you be interested in me reviving the Old Amber for you into an Aerodactyl?'

Dawn, looking surprised, replied, "Actually, yeah, an Aerodactyl would be pretty cool."

Turning to look at Kenny, Thaddeus went on, "And since you found the Jaw and Sail Fossils, when they're revived into Tyrunt and Amaura, I'll let you pick between the two of them for which one you'll take for yourself. The other one will have to be kept here so we can continue research into fossils and the Pokémon revived from them."

Giving Thaddeus a double thumbs up, Kenny said, "Top kek!" The heroes and Alexa soon were dismissed, being told that they needed time to revive the promised Pokémon for them from the fossils. The heroes agreed and took off, with Alexa even asking Dawn and Kenny if she could get some deets from them on how they're set to get some Pokémon revived from fossils.

As the heroes and Alexa proceeded to head to the local Pokémon Center in Ambrette Town, Bonnie said, "Wow, Dawn and Kenny! You two are gonna get some Pokémon revived from fossils! How cool is that?"

"It's a shame the other Pokémon revived from the fossils we brought back had to be kept by the staff at the fossil research lab," Serena remarked, "I bet that they'd be awesome Pokémon to-"

"I totally agree," a mysterious female voice called out, making the heroes all turn to see a geeky looking girl come alking over to them. She looked to be early to mid teens by Dawn's estimation; fair skin with a few marks denoting recent acne, round lensed glasses over vibrant blue eyes, somewhat frizzy long brown hair, and she wore a shoulders-exposing long sleeved cardigan that was light beige colored, a purple skirt of similar make that was colored purple, and brown loafer shoes. "I myself would also like to own a Pokémon revived from a fossil," the girl said, "But they can't be found in the wild, and are only found at places like the local fossil research lab here in Ambrette Town. And the scientists there typically don't like handing them out, save under very special circumstances."

There was something about the girl that struck Dawn, Ash, Kenny, and Trip as oddly familiar, but they couldn't quite put their fingers on it. Regardless, they didn't even knew who this girl was. "And you are..." Kenny began, trailing off in a manner showing that he expected to be filled in.

"Oh, where are my manners," the geeky looking girl said, "My name's Ochaco, and I'm actually into the business of studying Pokémon revived from fossils. What would really help my studies is if I were to get an actual Pokémon revived from a fossil, but sadly every place I went to that could help me out in that regard told me no and proceeded to greedily hold onto all of their fossil-revived Pokémon."

"Well you gotta see it from their perspective," Alexa began, "They themselves are also in the business of studying fossil-revived Pokémon, and they not only got to the goods first, but have the gear necessary to-"

*WRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYY*

Alexa was cut off when a siren outside had suddenly gone off. "Are we being attacked?!" the now identified Ochaco exclaimed, clearly alarmed.

As everyone in the Pokémon Center freaked out, the three unique Officer Jennys from earlier rushed in. "Team Scorn is attacking Ambrette Town!" the glasses Jenny called out, "They're gunning for multiple places, including the local convention hall where the Hisuian history tour exhibit will be displayed, the Ambrette Aquarium, and the fossil research lab!"

Dawn gave an exasperated sigh as she, the rest of the heroes, and Alexa got up. "Well, it looks like the rumors of Team Scorn getting up to no good here in Ambrette Town are true. We're gonna have to split up to help cover all the locations."

"Let me help too," Ochaco said as she stepped forward, "One of the locations under attack by Team Scorn is the fossil research lab! Those guys working there are doing what is basically the dream job I wanna have some day! I can't stand by and do nothing while Team Scorn tries getting their greedy mitts on what all lays there!"

Dawn nodded in understanding and, after doing a quick headcount, saw that there were nine persons total in the group. Dawn originally only counted eight as she by no means was going to expect Bonnie to help fight off Team Scorn, but Bonnie very insistently said she was going to help too, so Dawn assigned her to whatever group that Clemont would be in to act as eyes to look out for additional Team Scorn members. The group ended up seeing Dawn, Kenny, Ash, and Ochaco go to the fossil research lab, Clemont and Bonnie go help the Jennys with the chaos as Ambrette Aquarium, and Trip, Serena, and Alexa go to the convention hall.

With the groups decided, everyone ran out of the Abrette Town Pokémon Center and ran off to their respective destinations, hoping to contain the chaos that was being caiused here by Team Scorn as much as possible.

...

Over at the fossil research lab, Thaddeus and the chubby scientist girl were tied up and helpless as they saw a number of Team Scorn members use the fossil revival machine to revive many of the fossils that were brought back into Pokémon. Among the Team Scorn members was a uniquely dressed member of the organization, so he was clearly either an officer or an Admin's Assistant.

Said uniquely dressed Team Scorn member wore a dark blue sleeveless top under a yellow leather strap that kept a yellow pauldron with dark blue trim over his right shoulder, dark blue leggings with the legs disappearing into his yellow leather boots that reached almost reached his knees with kneepads of similar color covering his knees, dark blue leather gloves with yellow guards on the back of the hands, and a yellow belly-warming belt with leather straps hanging down from the front. "Ah man, why are you scientist guys always so antsy about letting others have some fun with your goods, ehh?" asked the uniquely dressed Team Scorn member, brushing aside his medium-long length dark crimson hair.

"You villains won't get away with this!" Thaddeus exclaimed, "No matter what it is!"

"And from what I saw, you used up all the fossils we had here," the chubby scientist girl said, "So what is it that you're trying to revive now with the-"

The chubby scientist girl was cut off when the fossil revival machine opened, and something flew out of it. To the shocked surprise of Thaddeus and the chubby scientist girl, it wasn't a Pokémon revived from a fossil, but rather an alpha Hisuian Braviary revived from the skeletal remains that were being stored at the fossil research lab while things were being gotten ready at the convention hall for the Hisuian history tour exhibit. The alpha Hisuian Braviary proceeded to fly around, going into the greenhouse area where the other Pokémon Team Scorn had revived from fossils were corralled into.

The fossil Pokémon, all of them unevolved little ones, ran around in fright as they tried to hide away from the alpha Hisuian Braviary, who cried out challengingly at those unevolved fossil Pokémon. As the alpha Hisuian Braviary was about to fly at a random Kabuto that was clearly trying to scuttle away, it was cut off when an Areodactyl cried out at it. Turning to look, the alpha Hisuian Braviary saw an Aerodactyl fly up to it. In Pokémon talk, the Aerodactyl tried to convince the alpha Hisuian Braviary to stand down and leave the other Pokémon be. And at first, it seemed to actually work.

...But then both Aerodactyl and the alpha Hisuian Braviary heard a certain cry sound up to them. "TyRuNt!" Looking down at the ground, both Aerodactyl and the alpha Hisuian Braviary saw a Tyrunt looking up at them. "TyRuNt!" the Tyrunt called up at them, "TyRuNt Ty-TyRuNt!" Aerodactyl clearly did not like how Tyrunt was apparently egging the alpha Hisuian Braviary on, and unfortunately, the alpha Hisuian Braviary took the challenge and flew right at Tyrunt, eager to fight it.

END, CHAPTER ONE-HUNDRED AND FIFTY-NINE

Author's notes;

This chapter sees the heroes go to the Battle Chateau and get introduced to Grant, who Ash and the reborn trainers will be seeing later in Cyllage City. After that they head to Ambrette Town where things go into a semi-lockdown state due to rumors that Team Scorn will strike. The heroes then bail Alexa out of trouble, bring her along to collect a shipment of fossils from Glittering Cave while Trip catches a Helioptile, then return to celebrate as they're met up by a geeky girl named Ochaco.

Things are all well and good, up until Team Scorn actually attacks, striking multiple locations including the fossil research lab. Over at said lab, the Team Scorn members who are present, including one who is a Captain (not that anyone in-story knows his rank yet), revive all of the retrieved fossils into Pokémon, as well as the skeletal remains that were part of the Hisuian history tour exhibit into an alpha Hisuian Braviary, who gets agitated with a Tyrunt. Things will continue into the next chapter, so stay tuned for more.
