Episode 78: Mewtwo Strikes
Before we begin, I thought I shall share that this chapter shall he similar to the Charizard episode of Pokémon origins where Red has caught Mewtwo to complete the Pokédex. Unlike the main anime, Mewtwo doesn't speak at all, so enjoy the chapter.
Three weeks came and went as news of Sora's victory has spread around like wildfire. After winning the Pokémon League has placed Sora in the hall of fame. A digital picture of Sora and all of his Pokémon were placed next to the previous winners. Sora couldn't take a walk down the street without being mobbed by battle fans. Luckily, Kairi, Ash, and Leaf had helped him out. But not today as Sora and Pikachu hid by a tree.
"Man, who would thought being a Pokémon League Champion could be such a hassle?" Sora asked.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
Ever since Sora has won the Pokémon League, and received the title of Pokémon League Champion, he has been receiving fan letters, and a letter to challenge the Elite Four anytime he wants to. Defeating the Elite Four and the current Regional Champion would have made Sora a regional Champion while Sora is only a Pokémon League Champion.
"It comes with the territory," a voice said. He turned to see Lance standing next to him. Sora gasped when he saw him.
"You're Lance, the strongest member of the Elite Four," Sora said. "What brings you here?"
"Just came here to personally congratulate you for your victory," Lance said. "I have to say I am mighty impressed by your skills. The way you raised your Pokémon is living proof that you are a gifted Pokémon Trainer."
"Thanks, Lance. That means a lot, hearing it from you," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"You should take this to heart, Sora," Lance said. "You should be humble of your victories. You should always treat your opponents with absolute respect and humility. You must never forget who you really are."
"That is not going to be a problem, Lance. I'm not going to abuse it in anyway," Sora said.
"You don't seem to be the kind who would, Sora. As I said, I came to congratulate you for your victory. But before I go, I must say the offer to challenge the Elite Four whenever you want," Lance said, taking his leave.
Sora took what Lance's words to heart, and he knew he was right. He got to where he is right now because of Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua.
Meanwhile, Gary has arrived to Cerulean City after hearing rumors of a powerful Pokémon. He thought he could catch it for himself and challenge Sora to a battle.
"If this Pokémon is just as powerful as the rumors said, then Sora won't stand a chance," Gary said. He chuckled. "Now to find that cave."
Back in Pallet Town, Sora returned home and he looked at his trophy and his 8 Gym Badges. He sighed.
"Lance is right. I'm not going to let some trophy let me think I'm better than everybody else. If I'm going to wear the big boy pants, I might as well get comfy in them. I mean, I'm still me, and I'm going to be me, end of story," Sora said.
Over to Gary, he made his way into the Cerulean Cave. He searches for any signs of the mysterious Pokémon that has been the talk of the Trainers of Kanto. He rode on the back of his Blastoise and he saw it. It is shrouded in shadows.
"That's the Pokémon everyone is talking about!" Gary said. He took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Pinsir!" His Pokéball opened and his Pinsir came right out to battle. "Use Bug Bite!" Pinsir came at the Pokémon."
Back in Pallet Town, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi laid down on the grass on a hill and looked up to the sky.
"Look, that one looks like one looks like a Bulbasaur," Kairi said, pointing to the Bulbasaur-shaped cloud.
"I see it," Sora said. "And that one looks like a Chansey," Sora said, pointing to a Chansey-like cloud.
Unknown to them, Team Rocket were hiding in the woods.
"Ready?" Jessie asked.
"Ready," James and Meowth said.
They came with a net and a cage to trap Pikachu in it when a Fire Blast struck them, making them go flying in the air.
"No fair! We didn't even get close!" Jessie whined.
"It seemed rather decent," Meowth said.
"For once," James said.
"WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Team Rocket shouted as they go flying right at the sky. A star twinkles in the distance.
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel sat up when they saw Ash and Charizard coming right down from the sky.
"Ash, what are you doing here?" Sora asked.
"Just making sure you weren't bothered. I spotted Team Rocket, and I knew what they were up to; so I sprung up to action," Ash said.
"Thanks a lot, Ash," Sora said.
Back in Cerulean Cave, Gary has his Blastoise battle against the mysterious Pokémon.
"Use Hydro Pump!" Gary ordered. Blastoise fired high pressured water right at the Pokémon, but it raised its hand and sends the water back at Blastoise. The Shellfish Pokémon lands right on Gary and it vanishes in the shadows. "That Pokémon is way more powerful than I thought."
A few hours later, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi were having a walk down the streets of Pallet Town out on a date.
"So, Kairi, what do you wanna do?" Sora asked.
"I was thinking of catching a movie. It's one I've been wanting to see for a while," Kairi said. Sora chuckled.
"Okay, but I'll buy us a bag of popcorn for us to share," Sora said. Just then, Leaf came running down the streets.
"Sora! Kairi!" Leaf yelled. The couple turned around and they saw Leaf run up to them couple. "Thank goodness I found you! You need to come to Professor Oak's house right now!"
"What? What's going on?" Sora asked.
"It's Gary! He came back an hour ago, and he got banged up bad!" Leaf explained.
"What happened?" Kairi asked.
"I don't know, all I know is Gary is hurt!" Leaf said.
Sora and Kairi were fearing that it was the Heartless behind Gary's injuries, so they had to see it for themselves.
Over to Professor Oak's house, they arrived to the room Gary was in. Ash, Professor Oak and Daisy were right beside Gary. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Togepi, and Leaf entered inside.
"Gary, you okay?!" Sora yelled. Gary groaned in pain.
"Not too loud, Sora," Gary said.
"It's okay, Sora. Gary just needs to take it easy," Professor Oak said.
"What happened to you, Gary?" Sora asked.
"Okay. You know about the rumors of a mysterious Pokémon that's been flying around?" Gary asked.
"Yeah," Sora said.
"What does that have to do with anything?" Kairi asked.
"A whole lot with what happened to me. I went inside that cave in Cerulean City to check it out, and that's when I found it. It wasn't like anything I ever seen. I tried to battle to weaken it, but it wasn't enough. Not only that, it threw everything I threw at it right back at me. I had my Blastoise battling it, it sent that back at him and he landed right on top of me. Then it disappeared right into the cave," Gary explained.
"You know what kind of Pokémon it was, Gary?" Ash asked.
"I don't know. But I do know it used moves like Psychic, so it looked like a Psychic-type," Gary said.
"A Psychic-type, huh?" Ash asked. "Did you pick up on your Pokédex?"
"I did, but there was no data on it," Gary said.
"Seriously?" Leaf asked.
"Serious as cancer," Gary said. Daisy looked at her grandfather.
"What do you think, grandpa?" Daisy asked.
"It's possible that it's a new species of Pokémon and Gary had discovered it," Professor Oak said.
"A new species?" Sora, Kairi, Ash, and Leaf all asked at once.
"It has to be if it's not listed in the Pokédex. Sora, Ash, Leaf, I know you're still resting from your recent journey, but I must request that you three look into it for me," Professor Oak said.
"Sure thing," Sora said.
"If it's a new kind of Pokémon, it's worth looking into," Ash added.
"No! You can't! Don't go!" Gary exclaimed. Everyone all looked at Gary.
"Why not, Gary?" Leaf asked.
"Why would you advice against this?" Daisy asked.
"That Pokémon is way too powerful, so I never stood a chance against it. And if I couldn't beat it, what chance do you have? Its powers is beyond even us," Gary said.
That struck a cord with Sora when he said that. He remembered the diary back in the Pokémon Mansion on Cinnabar Island and the entries on it.
"It's beyond even us…"
Gary looked right at Sora when he saw the expression he made when Gary said it.
"Sora? Sora!" Gary said, snapping Sora out of his trance.
"Huh? Wha?" Sora asked.
"You were just spacing out just now! Don't tell me that whole Pokémon League Champion title has gone to your head!" Gary said.
"No, it's something else," Sora said. Gary wasn't buying it, but Kairi could tell something was up.
"Sora?" Kairi asked.
"Kairi, Ash, Leaf, you think we can have a talk outside?" Sora asked.
"Sure," Kairi, Ash, and Leaf all said at once. They stepped outside of the room and heads into a different room to talk privately.
"Sora, what's the matter?" Kairi asked.
"I just had a pretty serious thought," Sora said. Ash and Leaf knew it sounded serious by how he said it.
"How serious?" Leaf asked.
"Really serious, Leaf," Sora said. He looked at his girlfriend. "You remember that diary we found back on Cinnabar Island before we headed right for Viridian City for my final Gym battle?"
"Yeah, I remember. Why?" Kairi asked. Ash and Leaf were a bit confused.
"What diary? What are you talking about?" Ash asked. Sora and Kairi looked at Ash and Leaf, knowing what they had to explain.
"Okay, we made a stop at a mansion on Cinnabar Island, chasing after. Heartless that went right in," Sora said.
"A Heartless?" Leaf asked.
"Yeah, we went after it, but there were several other Heartless inside it. One of them started to make a break for it, so we chased it into a different room, and that's when we found a diary," Sora said.
"It was written by someone who said he went to Faraway Island and rediscovered Mew," Kairi said. Ash and Leaf blinked twice.
"Mew? As in the mythical Pokémon?" Leaf asked.
"Yeah, that Mew. And that's what he wrote about. Not only that, but he wrote down that he created a new kind of Pokémon from Mew's eyelash," Sora explained.
"A new kind of Pokémon?" Ash asked.
"Yeah," Sora said.
"The person who wrote in the diary said they named this new kind of Pokémon Mewtwo," Kairi said.
"Mewtwo?" Ash and Leaf asked.
"Yeah," Sora said.
"Does Professor Oak know about this?" Ash asked.
"He knows about it, right after our trip to the Kanto Power Plant to look into that Zapdos sighting. He thought it was a good idea we leave it alone until we know more, so we went with it," Sora said.
"Chu," Pikachu said.
"Sora, are you saying that Pokémon that whooped Gary is Mewtwo?" Ash asked.
"To be honest, I don't have a clue, but I'm leaning towards that direction," Sora said.
"How do you know it's Mewtwo to begin with?" Ash asked.
"Yeah, how?" Leaf asked.
"It was when Gary said, it's beyond even us. That's how I know," Sora said.
"If you're right about this, Sora, then we better let Professor Oak know about this," Ash said.
"He's right. We got some new information about Mewtwo, so he should know about this," Kairi said.
"Right," Sora said. Professor Oak stepped out of the room and sees the kids standing there.
"What is it?" Professor Oak asked.
"There's something I think you should know about," Sora said. They came downstairs to have a talk with the professor about what Sora suspects.
"What is it that I should know about?" Professor Oak asked.
"Okay, Sora thinks the Pokémon Gary came across in Cerulean Cave is Mewtwo," Kairi said. Professor Oak's eyes almost popped out.
"Mewtwo? Are you certain?" Professor Oak asked with a hint of surprise in his eyes.
"Yeah. I got that vibe when Gary said, it's beyond even us," Sora said.
"I see," Professor Oak said.
"What do you know about Mewtwo, professor?" Ash asked.
"As I already explained to Sora and Kairi, my knowledge is limited, but what I do know is that there was a rumor about a team of researchers that has created a Pokémon through genetic experimentations over twenty years ago. Until Sora and Kairi brought this to my attention, I thought it was only a mere rumor," Professor Oak said.
"And that Pokémon that was created through genetic experimentations is Mewtwo?" Leaf asked.
"Most definitely. From I heard, the leading researcher is named Dr. Fuji if I'm remembering correctly," Professor Oak said. Sora and Kairi were surprised when Professor Oak mentioned Fuji to them.
"Dr. Fuji?" Sora asked.
"As in Mr. Fuji?" Kairi asked.
"I do not who you're talking about, but I believe that was the researcher's name. He has done all sorts of research of Pokémon genetics in those twenty-something years," Professor Oak said. "That was the official story, but he mysteriously disappeared, and only heaven knows where he is these days."
Sora, Kairi, Ash, and Leaf were in deep thought of what Professor Oak has just explained to them.
"If it is, Mewtwo, then we should go after it," Kairi said.
"She's right. And one of us will have to catch it and bring it right back," Ash said.
"What do you say, Sora?" Leaf asked.
"Okay, we'll head for Cerulean Cave and have a look into this as soon as we get our gear ready," Sora said.
"I know I can count on you. I'm asking all four of you to be careful," Professor Oak said.
With that said, Sora and Kairi have gotten their equipment as well as Pokémon ready.
Taking proper precaution, Sora has decided to use Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres for this one, along with Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Dragonite, Gengar, Scizor, Pinsir, and Umbreon. Kairi is bringing Raichu, Flareon, Jolteon, Vaporeon, Leafeon, Glaceon, Sylveon, Ditto, Dewgong, and Jynx with her, leaving Togepi in the care of her parents.
"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped with his eyes welling up with tears.
"I'm sorry, Togepi, it's just you're too little to go on this big job, and I don't want you to get hurt when dealing with it. But I'll come back. I promise," Kairi said. "Besides, you get to play with Seth. You like Seth, don't you?" Seth gurgled and cooed when Kairi mentioned him. She looked at her parents. "Mom, dad, will you make sure Togepi is well taken of?"
"We know what's important, Kairi," Yuta said.
"We ask that you be careful," Mirei said.
"We will," Kairi said.
Over to Lavender Town, Mr. Fuji is feeding a Vulpix a bowl of Pokémon food and he smiled, seeing Vulpix enjoy the meal so much.
"That's a good Pokémon," Mr. Fuji said, smiling. Reina came walking up to Mr. Fuji.
"Mr. Fuji?" Reina asked. Mr. Fuji looked at her. "Have you heard the rumors in Cerulean Cave?"
"No, I haven't. What rumors are those?" Mr. Fuji asked.
"There are rumors of a monstrously strong wild Pokémon has appeared in the cave," Reina said. "Just the other day, it defeated Professor Oak's grandson." Mr. Fuji raised a brow, hoping it's not what he thinks it is.
"May I ask what kind of Pokémon it is you are talking about?" Mr. Fuji asked.
"I don't know all the details, but from what I heard, it's a Psychic-type," Reina said.
"A Psychic-type?" Mr. Fuji asked in disbelief. He looked to the sky outside. He sighed. "It's still alive, after all these years."
After they got everything ready, they got in a jeep, owned by owned by Leaf's aunt. She has short brown hair, and she wore a blue blouse and a black skirt.
"Thank you for the ride, auntie," Leaf said.
"Anything for my favorite niece and her friends," Leaf's aunt said.
"I'm your only niece, Auntie," Leaf said. Sora, Ash, and Kairi laughed. She drove into Cerulean City, right to the Cerulean Cave. "There it is."
"Okay, everyone, this is our chance to find Mewtwo and catch it," Ash said.
"Right," Sora, Kairi, and Leaf said.
"I'll be waiting for you when you need me," Leaf's aunt said.
"Thank you, ma'am," Sora said.
With that said, they all entered the cave to find Mewtwo.
Back in Lavender Town, Mr. Fuji is sitting at his desk, reading a book. Reina entered his office.
"Mr. Fuji, Mr. Fuji!" Reina exclaimed when she entered the office. He knew it was important by her facial expressions.
"What's wrong, Reina?" Mr. Fuji asked.
"I just heard that Sora, Kairi, and two more Trainers went to Cerulean Cave to catch that Pokémon!" Reina said. Mr. Fuji removed his reading glasses.
"Sora, Kairi. Are they trying to catch that monster?" Mr. Fuji asked.
Over to Saffron City, Riku and Eevee are sitting on a bench in Naminé's backyard.
"May not be Alola, but the sky in Kanto is beautiful," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"It feels like yesterday that we've teamed up and left home to get started," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"Well, it'll be worth it when we get home," Riku said. He sighed. "Can't help but think about how mom is gonna bust a button when she hears I have a girlfriend now."
"Vee," Eevee said, sounding like laughing. Riku laughed too.
"Yeah, that's funny," Riku said. Naminé stepped out to her backyard.
"Riku!" Naminé exclaimed. Riku looked at his girlfriend with a look on her face.
"Naminé? What's wrong?" Riku asked.
"Ash, Sora, Leaf, and Kairi just left Pallet Town and headed for Cerulean Cave because of a Pokémon sighted there!" Naminé said.
"You mean the Pokémon that's gotten everybody talking?" Riku asked.
"Yeah, I did!" Naminé said.
"How do you know about this?" Riku asked.
"I got off the phone with Sora's sister, and she just told me! She wanted to tell you, but I insisted that I tell you!" Naminé said.
"I thought you would go after it, Sora," Riku said in his thoughts.
In Cerulean Cave, Sora, Kairi, Ash, Leaf, Pikachu, and Angel entered the cave, going pass some Pokémon inside wild Pokémon living in the cave. They came across a river. Ash has let out his Lapras just so they could ride on it. Lapras swam down the river in what seems to be hours. They deeper they went, the closer they were getting.
"Where could it be?" Sora asked.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Judging by how deep we're going, I feel that we're getting close," Leaf said.
"Me too. And it might show up at any moment," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"So, we'll have to keep our eyes opened for it," Ash said. As they go deeper, Sora saw something in the distance.
"Guys, I see something ahead of us!" Sora said. Kairi, Ash, and Leaf saw something ahead of them. When they got closer, they could clearly see a bipedal, humanoid Pokémon with some feline features. It is primarily gray with a long, purple tail. On top of its head are two short, blunt horns, and it has purple eyes. A tube extends from the back of its skull to the top of its spine, bypassing its neck. It has a defined chest and shoulders, which resemble a breastplate. The three digits on each hand and foot have spherical tips. Its tail is thick at the base but thins before ending in a small bulb. "I think that's Mewtwo!"
Mewtwo jumped forward and roared. Lapras beached itself on the shore, so Sora, Kairi, Ash, Leaf, Pikachu, and Angel stepped off. Sora, Ash, and Leaf each took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Gengar!" Sora called out.
"Go! Scyther!" Ash called out.
"Go! Parasect!" Leaf called out.
"Go! Raichu!" Kairi called out.
Their Pokéballs opened up and they came out to battle Mewtwo.
"Gengar! Use Shadow Ball!" Sora ordered.
"Raichu! Use Thunderbolt!" Kairi ordered.
"Scyther! Use X-Scissor!" Ash ordered.
"Parasect! Use Energy Ball!" Leaf ordered.
The Pokémon launched their attacks at Mewtwo, but Mewtwo held up its hand and sends them right back. The Pokémon have been easily taken down. They called the Pokémon back.
"That Pokémon is way stronger than any of us thought!" Ash exclaimed.
"We'll have to try even harder," Sora said. He took out his Pokéballs and threw them. "Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Dragonite, Scizor, Pinsir, Umbreon! Go!"
"Go! Flareon, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Sylveon, Leafeon, Glaceon, Dewgong, Jynx, Ditto!" Kairi called out.
"Go! Charizard!" Ash called out.
"Venusaur! Go!" Leaf called out.
Their Pokémon came out to battle Mewtwo. Stars swirls around Ditto.
"Ditto! Transform!" Kairi ordered. Ditto transforms into Mewtwo. "Flareon! Use Flamethrower! Vaporeon! Hydro Pump! Jolteon! Thunderbolt!" Glaceon, Dewgong! Ice Beam! Sylveon! Fairy Wind! Jynx! Blizzard!"
"Venusaur! Razor Leaf! Charizard! Flamethrower! Blastoise! Flash Cannon! Dragonite! Dragonite! Pinsir! X-Scissor! Scizor! Metal Claw! Umbreon! Dark Pulse!" Sora ordered.
"Use Leaf Storm!" Leaf ordered.
"Use Fire Blast!" Ash ordered.
All of the Pokémon unleashes their at Mewtwo and they all hit at once. Mewtwo braces itself and broke it by swinging its arms. Mewtwo uses Psychic on most of the attacking Pokémon, easily taking them down.
"Ditto! Use Psychic!" Kairi ordered. Ditto unleashes Psychic, but Mewtwo blocked with its own Psychic and easily took down Ditto. The Transform Pokémon reverts back to its own form.
"Umbreon! Use Feint Attack!" Sora ordered. Umbreon came at Mewtwo with Feint Attack. Mewtwo forms a ball of blue energy in between its hands and fires it at the Moonlight Pokémon, earning a knockout. "That was Aura Sphere."
"Mewtwo took down our Pokémon like it was nothing!" Kairi said. Sora took out his three Ultra Balls and threw them.
"Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres!" Sora called out. The legendary bird Pokémon came out to battle against the Genetic Pokémon. "Blizzard, Thunder, Fire Blast!" Sora ordered. Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres fired their attacks at Mewtwo, but it uses Psychic to send the attacks back at the legendary bird Pokémon, hitting them. Mewtwo uses Psychic again and brings them down. Sora was shocked. "Even legendary Pokémon don't even stand a chance!"
"Ash, Leaf, don't you have your other Pokémon with you?" Kairi asked.
"No," Ash answered.
"We left them all behind," Leaf said.
"We gotta bring it down," Sora said. He looked at Pikachu. "You're up, Pikachu!"
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Angel, go for it!" Kairi said.
"Eevee, vee!" Angel said.
The Pokémon couple stepped in and they stood before the Genetic Pokémon.
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt, shocking Mewtwo on the mark.
"Angel! Use Quick Attack!" Kairi ordered. Angel dashed right at Mewtwo. Mewtwo uses Psychic, sending her back. Pikachu jumped and caught. "Angel!"
"You okay, Angel?" - Pikachu subtitle.
"I'm fine." - Angel subtitle.
The Pokémon couple smiled at each other and they stared at Mewtwo.
"Pikachu! Go!" Sora said to Pikachu. "Quick Attack!"
"Pikachu!" Pikachu nodded as he ran towards Mewtwo.
"Angel! You use Quick Attack too!" Kairi called out as Angel ran along with Pikachu . Both Pokémon hit Mewtwo right on the mark. Mewtwo use Psychic on Angel lifting her up. "Swift!" Angel fired Swift right at Mewtwo, dropping the female Eevee.
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered as Pikachu fired Thunderbolt shocking the genetic Pokémon good. "Now use Iron Tail!"
"You Iron Tail!" Kairi ordered.
Pikachu and Angel swings their tails at Mewtwo, dealing some serious damage. Pikachu gets on Mewtwo's back.
"Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu gave Mewtwo a powerful shock onto Mewtwo's body.
"Use Swift!" Kairi ordered. Angel fired Swift and it lands a hit onto Mewtwo. "Use Headbutt!" Angel beans Mewtwo in the stomach after Pikachu got off. Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it at Mewtwo. "Here goes!" Mewtwo flows inside. But the Pokéball bursts open. "It held on?!" Mewtwo roared.
"Let me try!" Sora said, taking out an Ultra Ball and threw it. Mewtwo flowed inside and it wobbles around and around, but didn't stay in for long. Mewtwo bursts out once again. "Kairi, how about we use Quick Attack again and again?"
"Right," Kairi said with a nod.
"Quick Attack!" Sora and Kairi ordered. Pikachu and Angel dashed at Mewtwo again and again, but Mewtwo grabbed them both and threw them. Mewtwo fired Aura Sphere at the Pokémon couple.
"Pikachu!" Sora called out.
"Angel!" Kairi also exclaimed.
Pikachu and Angel quickly use Iron Tail to send the blue orbs of energy back to Mewtwo, striking it hard.
"They're okay!" Leaf cheered.
"Sora! Kairi! Finish this!" Ash called out.
"Pikachu! Use Electro Ball!" Sora ordered.
"Use Swift!" Kairi ordered.
Pikachu and Angel fired their attacks right at Mewtwo. Electro Ball and Swift combined. The ball of electricity has the stars swirling around them. Mewtwo is struck again. Sora took out another Ultra Ball and threw it again, but Mewtwo bursts out of it.
"It still held on?!" Sora exclaimed. Sweat ran down his cheek. "If only I had a Pokéball that can hold it." He then suddenly remembered the Master Ball he got from Silph Co's president. Stars swirls around the Master Ball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Mewtwo with him. He chose to send Mewtwo to Professor Oak's lab. "I just caught Mewtwo!"
"Pi, Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
"Way to go, Sora!" Kairi cheered for her boyfriend.
"You did it!" Ash exclaimed.
"You were amazing!" Leaf added.
Sora was hugged by his friends and they all laughed. They were going to have quite a tale to tell when they get home.
