April Fools Special
"You're certain this is the right hall?"
"Absolutely. However, the lack of fellow Servants worries me."
"Perhaps they are simply asleep or otherwise indisposed." Artorias suggested to the other two as they walked through the halls of Chaldea "We know not how long we were caught in that strange ritual before we returned."
Gael nodded in head in affirmation of the Wolf Knights statement, the trio had spent an unfortunately long amount of time trapped in a strange rift they encountered during a Rayshift. They had not emerged until sometime later.
Fume grunted in response, Nadalida still resting on his shoulder as his smoking form stomped through the halls alongside the other two before coming to a halt. "...Was that door always there?" he asked, pointing towards the large double hinged steel gate leading somewhere.
"...I do not believe it was, Sir Raime-" Artorias replied before Fume growled at him.
"Don't call me that." His voice dropped into a menacing tone, Artorias simply laughed him off with a wave of his hand as Gael released a quiet sigh.
His sword glowed for a few seconds before a melodious voice came from it "Don't be like that, I like your name."
"See?" Artorias pointed at the sword "Even Nadalia agrees with me!"
Fume glowered at him from behind his helmet as Gael leaned towards the sign next to the door.
"Novum Game Room?" He read out loud before releasing a curious hum and scratching his long white beard in a thoughtful manner. "Game...do they mean the hide and seek that little Jack plays?"
"I certainly hope they do not play the games of a serial killer." Artorias released a disapproving grunt before cupping his helmet chin "Perhaps it is the board games that Sir's Lancelot and Gawain play?"
"You two are fools." Fume scoffed "Clearly it refers to the sports activities."
The pair stared at him in silence before releasing similar 'ah' noises of realisation.
"Dullards." Nadalia muttered quietly, Fume turned his head to stare at the.
"Did you say something, Nadi?"
"Hm? Oh, I didn't say anything." She sighed, the black knight stared at her for a few moments more before shrugging his shoulders and turning back to the other two.
"Perhaps everyone is in there?"
"Possibly." Gael replied before pushing the door open.
"-ake that Gael you fucker!" The knight immediately paused at the rather vocal, and very feminine, voice which blasted out an insult at him the moment he opened the door. The other two knights froze as well, slowly craning their heads towards the back of Gael's own. The old man was frozen for a few moments before he continued to push the door open fully, revealing a giant auditorium with a huge screen at the front playing some manner of motion picture.
Gael and the other two knights slowly shuffled inside and quietly closed the door behind them, soon taking stock of the stands which were filled with Servants some of whom they didn't recognise in the least. Artorias in particular soon found his head turning in the direction of one specific individual, his brows furrowed behind his helmet "Is that...woman wearing Sir Gawain's armour?" he whispered out in slight shock.
Gael and Fume followed his vision and, sure enough, there was a tall woman wearing what appeared to be a version of Gawain's silver armour with what looked like horns protruding from the top of her head. Her expression was fierce, set in a determined one as she continued to shout encouragements alongside the other Servants. The three knights looked at the screen and soon found themselves even more confused.
"Sir Gael?"
"Yes?"
"That is your Berserker self, is it not?"
"It is."
"I see...why?"
"I...do not know." The old man admitted, as flummoxed as the other two. He turned his head to the closest person to him, moving down and tapping the man on the shoulder. The man with long black hair in a black suit didn't turn around as he prepared another cigar but he did give a small grunt indicating he was listening "Excuse me, good sir?"
"Yes?"
"What is happening here?"
"Master is finally beating the final boss of Dark Souls series." He explained as he whipped out a lighter, holding it over the end of his cigar and drawing it up to his mouth before taking a puff of it "And the hardest boss in the series to boot."
"Bullshit." Jeanne Alter scoffed, Fume blinked in surprise as she was wearing a fur coat and shin high boots as oppose to her usual black steel armour "The Fume Knight is way more difficult than this old prick." Gael slumped as another insult was seemingly hurled his way, Artorias pat the man on the back in reassurance.
"Hmph." Came another incredulous scoff, Artoria Alter sent a small mocking smirk towards the French Witch "Perhaps to the feeble, that blackened fool is only challenging to the clumsy who are too slow to dodge." she waved her hand dismissively "His healing gimmick is simply a way to overcompensate for his obviously telegraphed attacks." her expression turned more serious "Artorias is clearly the hardest boss."
"Geuh?" Jeanne Alter sneered "You only think so because his name is similar to your own, I mean really? A knight who went out to save a city and then got corrupted and failed miserably?" Artorias flinched, leading to Gael patting the man on the back "Its so funny its pathetic, although I guess it makes sense that an ice cold bitch like you would find such a pitiful thing challenging."
"Artorias is no slouch." Waver interrupted the pair "However in comparison to Gael, there is no competition. However he was limited by Fromsofts abilities at the time, I'm certain that if his fight had been done while they had their current abilities it would have been a greater challenge. Regardless, Gael is clearly the hardest boss."
"...So...Master is fighting...Berserker Gael?" Artorias asked in slight confusion, Waver hummed for a few moments before nodding his head.
"I suppose he would classify as a Berserker in his current state." He admitted, taking another puff of his cigar "Although he isn't a Servant, merely an endgame boss."
"Take that, Bitch!" An orange haired girl roared victoriously, earning cheers from across the room as she shot to her feet and through her fist into the air victoriously. The words 'Heir of Fire Destroyed' flashed across the screen in bold yellow as the red hooded Berserker crumpled to his feet and disappeared into smoke. Gael wasn't sure of what to make of this display. The girl, still on her feet, began to make repeated pelvic thrusts much to the amusement of many of the Servants "Artorias, Fume Knight and now Gael! All the hardest DLC bosses slain!" she cried out in joy "Take that!"
"...So who is she?" Artorias asked, Waver accidentally sucked in some smoke and began to cough heavily.
"What are you fucking stu..." Jeanne Alter turned around to snap at them only to freeze at the sight of the trio, her eyes widening in shock and snapping from knight to knight in genuine confusion.
Artoria Alter saw the weird expression on the Avenger, turning around in her seat to see what the issue was before her expression mirrored that of her French counterpart. Locking onto Artorias in particular, the large blue knight scratched his head in confusion at the weird looks.
"Did I say something wrong?" He voiced out in an innocent tone of voice, Waver ceased coughing on his cigar and turned around to face the voice of the man who had first spoken to him before coming face to face with a crimson red hood and long scraggly white beard. His own complexion paled rapidly as the cigar fell from his grip.
Fujimaru, Gudako, Ritsuka was still living on a high moment when a cry erupted from across the room.
"Holy Jesus fuck!" She paused just in time to see Waver vault over the row of chairs in front of him and take cover behind Iskandar, while it would have ordinarily been funny. She soon saw what it what the man had run from, freezing mid thrust. Her eyes locked onto the trio stood in the doorway before she began blinking rapidly.
The entire audience of Servants slowly turned their heads to face the trio by the door. The three knights looked around to see the expressions of their fellow Servants around the room slowly shift into disbelief and horror, in the cases of those who had been traumatised by the Dark Souls games. And these three in particular.
Dead silence permeated throughout the room as Ritsuka felt the controller slip from her hands and clatter to the floor, uncaring as to the possible damage it sustained.
"...Good morrow." Artorias waved to the room, his own tone light if a little nervous "...Mayhaps we-"
"Have you discovered anything yet?" A deep voice came from behind the trio of knights, the room watched with bated breath as the three parted and a large man walked through them. She felt the blood slowly leave her face as she stared at the new arrival, his large scaled armour, face covering scarf, large crown with long white hair which seemed to defy gravity and huge swordspear in his right hand. The giant came to a stop just at the foot of the coliseum staircase, then paused as he took in the audience before him.
The Nameless King stared at the room before turning to Artorias "I'll let everyone know we found them." he sighed, soon moving away before pausing and turning on his heel to stare down at Gudako, tilting his head in confusion "...Who are you, woman?"
"She's apparently Master." the Fume Knight supplied with a curious grunt, the Nameless King seemingly blinked in surprise before snapping his fingers.
"Ah, a Ring of Reversal then." He nodded his head in understanding, then pointed into the crowd "It would explain what happened to Sir Gawain." Barghest was still staring at the giant man in confusion before she leaned down and whispered something at Melusine.
"I thought he wasn't real?" The girl blinked and then shrugged before fixing the Nameless King with an odd stare.
"Well, no matter." The Nameless King shrugged, then faced Ritsuka again "A good thing I found you." he let out an amused chuckle before raising his hand and pinching his fingers together so that there was barely a millimetre space between the two "Filianore was this close to bringing out Midir and having him search the entire base." the man shook his head in exasperation "It took some convincing but we all agreed it was easier to split into groups to find you."
"F-find me?" Ritsuka repeated in a quiet voice, the Nameless King nodded his head before his expression turned serious.
"Yes. I demand a rematch." He spoke out in a cold tone of voice "You caught me off-guard last time, but do not think this new form of yours will distract me from-" he was cut off as Ritsuka collapsed to the ground unconscious, fainting from shock. The Rider blinked in surprise before he frowned "...Was it something I said?"
