Episode 83: A Sappy Ending
That night, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi have said their goodbyes to Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Casey, and Marill for now. Sora was gathering some firewood to cook some dinner. Sora decided to make his grilled cheese for Kairi. As Sora took a piece of wood, he tripped and hits the nearby tree, making some of the Hoothoot fell right out of the tree.
"Hoothoot!" The Hoothoot hooted. They landed on the ground, and they started to peck at Sora.
"Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow!" Sora yelped in pain.
"Angel! Use Swift!" Kairi ordered. Angel jumped forward and fired Swift at the Hoothoot, making them all fly away. Kairi rushes over to Sora with concern. "Sora, are you okay?"
"I'm fine," Sora said. "Ouch! Who would have thought a Hoothoot's beak would hurt so much?"
"Hoothoot," a new voice hooted. Sora saw a Hoothoot right in front of them. This Hoothoot was different from the others. It is yellow upon appearance and it's a tad smaller. "A Shiny Hoothoot!" Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned it.
Hoothoot, the Owl Pokémon
Type: Normal/Flying
These nocturnal Pokémon are always standing on one foot and it tilts its body in movement. Hoothoot has an internal organ that senses and tracks the earth's rotation. Using this special organ, this Pokémon begins hooting at precisely the same time every day.
"I think this one I'll catch," Sora said. Hoothoot came flying right at Pikachu. "Use Quick Attack!" Pikachu ran towards the Owl Pokémon. Both Pokémon lands a hit onto each other. Hoothoot charges at Pikachu with another Tackle.
"He's using Tackle!" Kairi gasped.
"Use Electro Ball!" Sora ordered. Pikachu forms a ball of electricity and hurls it at Hoothoot. It lands a hit. "Use Thunderbolt!" Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt, shocking the Shiny Owl Pokémon. Hoothoot fell to the ground. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it at Hoothoot. He flows inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. "My second catch in Johto."
"A pretty good catch," Kairi said. She gave Sora kiss on the lips. He kissed her back. Pikachu, Angel and Togepi looked at the couple sweetly.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped.
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi returned to camp and Sora got to grilling his grilled cheese as Kairi prepares some Pokémon food for Pikachu, Angel, Togepi, Teddiursa, Hoothoot, and Hoppip.
It had been days ever since Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Togepi, all made it to the Johto region. So far, Sora had already caught a Teddiursa and a Shiny Hoothoot, and Kairi has caught a Hoppip.
As they were doing some traveling, a boy in a cap approached the group. "Hey there spikes!" The boy called out. "I came looking for a challenge! And you're it!"
"Um, okay," Sora said. The boy took out a Pokéball and held it out. "How do you wanna do this?"
"Three on three!" The boy proclaimed. "Wooper! Go!" The boy threw the Pokéball letting out a small blue amphibious Pokémon with four purple brances on the side of its head. It also has a large thick tail and curved markings on its belly. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned the Pokémon.
Wooper, the Water Fish Pokémon
Type: Water/Ground
Wooper usually lives in water. However, it occasionally comes out onto land in search of food. On land, it coats its body with a gooey, toxic film.
"So, it's a Water-type and a Ground-type," Sora said putting his Pokédex away. "Meaning Electric-type attacks won't work." He pulls out his Pokéball and threw it. "Try this one instead! Hoothoot! Go!" Sora threw it letting out his Hoothoot. Stars swirls around the Pokémon upon entry.
"Hoothoot!" Hoothoot hooted.
"That's a cool looking Hoothoot," the boy complemented. "But not cooler than my Wooper. And I'll prove it too! Wooper! Water Gun attack!" Wooper fires Water Gun right towards the Owl Pokémon.
"Hoothoot! Dodge and use Tackle!" Sora ordered. Hoothoot charges towards the opposing Pokémon and landed a successful Tackle. "Now use Wing Attack!" Hoothoot flies towards Wooper ready to strike with his wings.
"Wooper! Dodge it and use Scald!" The boy ordered as Wooper fired hot water from its mouth.
"Sora! Scald leaves a burn when it hits!" Lillie called out.
"Hoothoot! Dodge it! Hurry!" Sora called out as the hot water misses and it hits a tree leaving behind steam. "Now move in with another Tackle!" Hoothoot charges towards Wooper.
"Water Gun again!" The water fish Pokémon fires Water Gun again as Hoothoot swerves to the right. Wooper tries again and Wooper swerves to the left. Hoothoot lands a successful hit knocking out Wooper. "Wooper return." He calls back his Wooper. And he pulls out another Pokéball and threw it. "Okay, Pidgey! Go!" He threw his Pokéball letting out his Pidgey. Sora calls back Hoothoot.
"You're turn, Pikachu!" Sora stated.
"Pika!" Pikachu nodded as he ran up entering the battle.
"Pidgey! Mud Slap attack!" The boy ordered. Pidgey whips up some mud and sends it towards Pikachu.
"Pikachu! Dodge and use Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu ran across as the Bird Pokémon sends out the mud and the attack misses.
"Don't let that Pikachu get away! Aerial Ace!" The boy ordered as Pidgey did a backflip and flew towards Pikachu landing a hit. Pidgey got a nasty surprise soon after. "Pidgey!"
"Yes! Pidgey's paralyzed!" Kairi cheered.
"Toge, Toge!" Togepi chirped.
"Eevee, vee!" Angel added.
"Okay Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora called out. Pikachu let out Thunderbolt shocking Pidgey landing a knock out.
"Pidgey, return!" He calls back Pidgey. "Okay, okay! You're better than I thought. "But try this one out! Go for it, Beedrill!" He threw his Pokéball letting out his Beedrill.
"Okay, Pikachu. Come back," Sora said as Pikachu comes back to Sora's side. He pulls out another Pokéball and threw it. "Teddiursa! Go!" The Pokéball opens and it lets out Teddiursa.
"Ursa, Teddiursa," Teddiursa said. The boy laughed.
"A Teddiursa? You must be desperate to lose," the boy said.
"I wouldn't be too sure if I were you," Sora shot back.
"We're going to see about that, dude! Beedrill! Fury Attack!" The boy ordered as Beedrill charges towards the Little Bear Pokémon.
"Teddiursa! Dodge and use Metal Claw!" Sora ordered as Teddiursa dodges and he slashes the Poison Bee Pokémon with Metal Claw. But it wasn't enough to keep it down.
"Beedrill! Cut!" The boy ordered. Beedrill moves in to deliver a devastating blow to Teddiursa.
"Teddiursa! Use Lick!" Sora called out as Teddiursa jumps and licked Beedrill and he finishes Beedrill off.
"No way!" The boy gasped. "I lost to a little teddy bear?!" He calls back his fallen Beedrill. "Not too bad." He said, shaking Sora's hand. "You're pretty good."
"Thanks. You too," Sora said.
With that over and done with, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi, all continued on with their journey. They ventured through a forest. but this section of the forest had trees with blue beetle-like Pokémon. They all had pair of yellow eyes and two clawed arms and all had small antennae with a large horn between them. Some of the horns were T-shaped while others were heart-shaped. They were all on the trees drinking the sap from the trees. They're also sharing the sap with the Butterfree.
"Look at that," Sora said in awe. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned them.
Heracross, the Singlehorn Pokémon
Type: Bug/Fighting
Heracross has sharp claws on its feet. These are planted firmly into the ground or the bark of a tree, giving the Pokémon a secure and solid footing to forcefully fling away foes with its proud horn. Its favorite food is fresh tree sap from leafy trees.
"That explains why their up on those trees," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"They look like they're enjoying the tree sap so much," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped.
"We should keep going, because they won't be happy that we interrupted their lunch," Sora said.
"Chu," Pikachu said.
"None of these Pokémon look like they're hostile, so we should he okay as long as we don't bother them," Kairi said.
Pikachu's ears perked up.
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
"What's the matter, Pikachu?" Sora asked his partner.
"Pika!" Pikachu points to the source of the problem. A horde of Pinsir were marching towards the trees and they scare off the Butterfree by clamping their prickled horns.
"Those Pinsir are taking up those trees! And scaring away those Butterfree!" Kairi added.
"This is not your restuarant!" Sora shouted. The Heracross fly off from the tree and they charge towards the invading Pinsir. The Stag Beetle Pokémon clamps their horns and the Heracross all fly away in fear. Sora hung his head. "Of course."
"Guys! There's one Butterfree left!" Kairi shouted. One last Butterfree was left behind as they all saw it too frightened to fly away, but at they same time it was too scared to stay. One last Heracross popped up in front of the Pinsir.
"And one Heracross remaining!" Sora added.
The Pinsir began attacking the lone Heracross.
"They're ganging up on him!" Kairi said.
"Eevee!" Angel exclaimed.
"Toge, Togepi!" Togepi chirped.
"Not for long!" Sora said. He looked right at. "Okay, Pikachu! Go!" Pikachu stepped in to battle the Stag Beetle. "Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt! Pikachu fires a Thunderbolt at the invading Pinsir, knocking them off the tree.
"That's showing them!" Kairi cheered.
Heracross still has his eyes closed as the last Butterfree flies away.
"Heracross is too exhausted to fly away and he doesn't stand a chance against that army!" Sora said.
The Pinsir gets back on the tree to finish what they started.
"No you don't! Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu shocks the Pinsir off the tree making them drop off. Pinsir opens his eyes and sees a Pikachu and an unfamiliar Pokémon helping him. The Pinsir were angry now. They charged towards the two Pokémon for interrupting their meal. "Thunderbolt again!" Pikachu unleashed another Thunderbolt, shocking the invading Pinsir. The electrical assault sends the Pinsir retreating. "And that takes care of that." He and his friends approach the tree. "You can come down now, Heracross. The Pinsir are gone." Heracross came down to Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi. "You should be alright."
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Well, on the side note, the Pinsir won't be coming back here," Sora said.
"I'm afraid it's not that simple," a new voice called out. They all turned around and saw what looks like a forest ranger. He had a brown beard. "Those Pinsir will be back. And it won't take too long."
"I don't like the sound of that. Is it really as bad as it is?" Sora asked.
"Yes. Those Pinsir has been invading this section of the forest for the last three days," the forest ranger said. "And it's been getting worse with each visit."
"Why is this happening?" Kairi asked.
"I'm afraid I don't know," the forest ranger said. "Like I said, it has been going on for three days. The Heracross and Pinsir have been living here in peace. They have their own territory. But for some reason, they have been crossing the river, invading here." He clears his throat. "I'm sorry, I haven't introduced myself yet. My name is Woodrow and I'm a ranger here."
"My name is Sora Ketchum," Sora introduced himself.
"I'm Kairi and this is Angel," Kairi introduced.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped.
"A pleasure to meet you two. I take it that you're Pokémon Trainers?" Woodrow asked.
"That's right," Sora said. "Any idea on how they're getting here?"
"They had to be crossing the river to reach here," Woodrow said. "It's the only way they could have gotten here."
"If the Pinsir have a place of their own, how come they're coming over here?" Sora asked.
"I am investigating the incident. Have a look around this forest, and tell me what do you see," Woodrow said. Sora and Kairi looked around and saw some of the trees were either dead or dying.
"The trees. Some of the trees are dying," Kairi said.
"That is correct," Woodrow said.
"Man, if this keeps up, the whole forest is good as dead," Sora said.
"We should do something to stop it from happening," Kairi said.
"You're right. We'll have a much better shot if we work together," Sora said.
"I agree," Woodrow said. "I'll be more than happy to welcome your assistance."
"Okay, let's go," Sora said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi followed Woodrow through the forest to find the source of the disturbance. Sora and Kairi hoped it couldn't be Heartless behind it, and if it was, what kind of Heartless could have been that scared the Pinsir into Heracross territory.
"It'll be slow going, the underbrush is pretty thick," Woodrow said.
"Not a problem," Sora said, summoning his Keyblade, surprising Woodrow. He was surprised to see a giant key, but it was being held as a sword or a machete. He uses it to cut through the underbrush. "Comes in handy." He dismisses his Keyblade. Sora hears footsteps behind them and they it's the Heracross that they saved. "Hey, it's you."
"Heracross," Heracross said.
"He must be curious about what's going on, too," Kairi said.
"Probably," Sora said.
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Togepi, and Woodrow continued on as Heracross continues to follow them. Woodrow was curious about Sora's Keyblade.
"Sora, what was that key you were holding?" Woodrow asked.
"You mean my Keyblade? It's a little something I have just for an emergency," Sora said.
"What do you mean by emergency?" Woodrow asked.
Just then, several Shadows emerged from the ground, surrounding them.
With the Shadows are Heartless that resembles cars. To explain this kind of Heartless: Its body is primarily blue, and its roof is sky blue with a bent, navy blue antenna on its top. Its four black tires are set rather close together and have grey hubcaps, and its fenders are silver. The silver grill of the car acts as the Heartless's sharp-toothed mouth. It also has two headlights with yellow tips that act as its "eyes", though it has actual, glowing yellow eyes set in its black windshield. Its Heartless emblem is actually its hood ornament. This Heartless is known as a Hot Rod.
There is also a Heartless that has a thin, black body with yellow bracelets around its wrists, a grey belt, four-fingered hands, and yellow and purple shoes. Its head is spherical and pitch-black with glowing, yellow eyes and a black, jagged mouth. The Heartless's torso and head are enveloped in a red suit attached to an enormous, red hammerhead. Both ends of the hammer are black, and the Heartless emblem is printed on its front tip. A long, curled, black antenna sprouts out of the top of its helmet. This Heartless is known as the Hammer Frame.
In the air are Heartless that is comprised of a grey-skinned creature with a yellow scarf and a jagged mouth and the fighter plane it is piloting. Its legs are seen dangling through the bottom of the plane, showing that it wears brown shoes. The pilot is also wearing a blue hat with black aviator goggles. Its plane is sky blue with a turquoise propeller, a black nose with a few small, silver rivets on it, and conical, yellow guns on each wing. It has two Heartless emblems emblazoned on each side of the plane. This Heartless is known as the Aeroplane.
"This kind," Sora said, summoning his Keyblade. Kairi placed Togepi in her backpack to keep Togepi safe and she summoned her Keyblade as well. "We don't have time to deal with you!" The Heartless came right at Sora, but he ducked his head. "Okay, you asked for it!" He came at the Shadows and slashed his Keyblade through it. Kairi uses her Thunder spell to shock the Shadows, but the Hot Rods were very difficult to defeat, because they drove right at Sora, but Kairi pushes him out of the way before he became roadkill in the forest. "Thanks, Kairi."
"Don't thank me yet," Kairi said. The Hot Rods got got back up, so Kairi aimed her Kayblade up. "Gather!" Her Magnet spell pulls all of the attacking Heartless in it. "Thunder!" Lightning struck all of the Heartless, destroying them all. "Now you can thank me."
"Don't you just hate it when they just show up whenever they want?" Sora asked.
"Pikachu," Pikachu agreed.
"We should move on ahead before more of them show up," Kairi said, getting Togepi out of her backpack.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Good idea, let's go," Sora said.
Once they continued on, Heracross continues to follow them to the Pinsir forest. They got out of the Heracross's forest and close to the river.
"The path from here is clear, Sora. We're out of the thickest part of the woods," Woodrow said.
"Great. Now we just have to reach the Pinsir's turf," Sora said. They head for the river which is a deep canyon. "Whoa."
"Chu," Pikachu said.
"It looks very deep," Kairi said.
"It is deep going down. The Pinsir forest is just on the other side," Woodrow said.
"Don't tell me we're going to climb down and climb up to the other side," Sora said.
"There's no need for that, because there's an old rope bridge that we can use to get to the other side. It's just up river," Woodrow said.
"Works for me," Sora said.
By the time they reached the river, they saw that the rope bridge has been destroyed.
"Oh no!" Woodrow gasped. "I was just here last week and it was just fine!"
"So much for getting across. It must have wore out and the ropes finally broke," Sora said. Kairi looked down and saw a few Pinsir going across below.
"Look! The Pinsir have their own way of getting across," Kairi said.
"They must have done this just to show how nasty they are," Sora said.
"But why would they do this just to prove themselves?" Kairi asked.
"It wasn't the Pinsir," Woodrow said, holding a rope of the bridge. "Pinsir don't cut ropes like these. These ropes were sawed by a human being."
"Whoever did this must be up to something no good, and they don't want anyone snooping around," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"You're right, Kairi. We shouldn't let that stop us from going there," Sora said.
"But how are going to get across without a bridge?" Kairi asked. Sora quickly realized how right his girlfriend was about it. He sighed. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Togepi, and Woodrow hears a sound coming from behind and it's Heracross pushing the tree.
"Heracross, what are you doing? Cut it out! We're trying to save the forest, and you're thinking about eating!" Sora said.
"Wait, I think he has a plan!" Kairi said. Heracross pushes the tree down, so they all moved out of the way as the tree was now acting as a new bridge.
"Kairi, you were right. Heracross pushed that tree just to make a bridge for us. Now we can get across," Sora said. "Thanks for the assist, Heracross." He sees Heracross sipping the sap from the tree. "He just wanted the sap."
"Pika," Pikachu said.
They got across the tree bridge to reach the Pinsir forest.
Just when they keep going, they turn around and sees Heracross coming from behind.
"Don't look now, but he's still following us," Kairi said.
"Probably still hungry for more sap," Sora guessed.
"Get ready," Woodrow said. Sora and Kairi faced him. "We're going have to stay alert. We're almost in the Pinsir's forest now."
"Right," Sora and Kairi both said at once. They continued to go forward. They had to hope there weren't anymore Heartless coming after them. Heracross continued to follow them as well. They made a sudden stop. They saw a large tree ahead of them.
"Up there. The tallest tree; that's where the Pinsir live," Woodrow said.
"Whoa," Sora said with awe.
"Pika," Pikachu added.
They poke their heads through the shrubs, but they saw something that looks like a Pinsir, but it was bigger than it's supposed to be.
"Look, I see something near the top of the tree," Sora said.
"What is it?" Kairi asked.
"I don't know, but it's huge whatever it is," Sora said. He got a closer look at the figure. "I think it looks like a giant Pinsir."
"I didn't know Pinsir could get that big," Kairi said.
"They don't, and that is not a Pinsir. It's some kind of robot," Woodrow said. Sora saw the robot with a hose sucking up the sap into it. The robot has a couple of tanks on it.
"You're right, that is a robot, and it's sucking up the sap," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Togepi," Togepi chirped.
"Who would do such a thing?" Kairi asked.
They hear laughter coming from the forest.
"Prepare for trouble, while we're in the woods," Jessie said.
"Make it double, we're up to no goods," James added.
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all peoples within our nation!"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!"
"Surrender now, or prepare to fight!"
"Meowth! That's right!"
"Mime, Mime, Mime!" Mime Jr finished.
"Oh, great, the Moron Trio. Should have guessed it," Sora said.
"So, you're the ones responsible for that mechanical Pinsir," Woodrow said.
"That's right, we found it in an add for popular Pokémon and we sent away for the plan," Meowth said.
"Actually, we stole the parts to build it because our boss wouldn't give us the money to build it, but here's the next part of the story," Jessie said.
"We were hungry, it felt like yesterday, but it was just three days ago," Meowth said.
(Flashback)
Team Rocket dragged their feet on the dirt as they walked.
"I still can't believe they found us so easily," Jessie groaned.
"Now we have to come up with a way to make money to pay our debts with the boss," Meowth said. James's stomach growled.
"And a way to get something to eat," James said. They fell to the ground out of fatigue.
"I'm so hungry, I'm too weak to move," Meowth said. He took a whiff in the air. "I smell something yummy!"
"What is it? French toast?" Jessie asked.
"Or some waffles?" James asked.
"Follow me!" Meowth said. Meowth leads the way as his human colleagues follows him. Meowth stopped when he saw the source of the pleasant smell. "It's coming from there!" Jessie and James saw a tree with a band of Pinsir on it.
"You're kidding right. That looks disgusting," Jessie said. "You going to try it, James?"
"I'm not gonna try it, Jessie. Let Meowth try it," James said. Meowth ran towards the tree and licked the sap.
"I like it!" Meowth said.
"If I wasn't so famished, I wouldn't have to try this goop," Jessie said, taking her finger and tasted it. She instantly liked it. "Tasty!" James helps himself to the sap.
"It's sweet! It's yummy! It tastes like honey! It's delicious! It's nutritious! And it's free!" James said tasting the sap.
"This junk tastes better than maple syrup if ya ask me," Meowth said. Jessie then gets an idea of a lifetime.
"You've just given me a million dollar idea," Jessie said.
"What?" James asked.
"What's this talk about a million bucks?" Meowth asked.
"Hear me out. I'll open up an exclusive pancake house, and instead of using maple syrup, we use the tree sap we've collected, and slap on some limburger cheese and Cajun curry powder. And I'll call it the International House of Jessie," Jessie said.
"That sounds like a recipe for disaster," James said.
"A million dollar disaster," Meowth said.
(Flashback ends)
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Togepi, and Woodrow looked at them oddly.
"Limburger cheese and Cajun curry powder, really?" Sora deadpanned.
"We had the same thought as you, so we scratched the pancake house idea, so we decided to go with a better idea; so we built this robot Pinsir and suck up all the sap in the forest," Meowth said.
"We'll use it to create a new taste sensation. Rocket Sauce!" Jessie stated.
"Then we put the stuff in bottles and sell it to all-night convenient stores-" Meowth said before James topped it off.
"We'll be dripping in money!" James finished. They laughed.
"That explains why the Pinsir were coming over to Heracross territory for food! Team Rocket is draining all of theirs away!" Sora said.
"If this keeps up, the whole forest will die!" Kairi said.
"This is what happens when humans think selfishly without thinking about the consequences first!" Woodrow stated.
"That's because they're complete idiots, they don't think about anything. The Pinsir and the Heracross were doing just fine until you three idiots came along. I mean, you're going to suck up the entire forest bone-dry just to get rich, and destroying the balance of nature?" Sora asked.
"Who cares about that? The only balance we care about is the balance in our checkbook!" Jessie exclaimed.
"Our sticky situation is about to get even stickier!" James added. Jessie took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Lickitung! I choose you!" Jessie called out. Lickitung came right out.
"Victreebel! I choose you!" James called out. Victreebel came right out along with Lickitung, so James runs for the bushes, knowing Victreebel will chomp on his head. He quickly noticed Victreebel isn't doing what it usually does. "That's funny, I wonder why Victreebel is not attacking me." He got his answer when Victreebel is licking up the tree sap. "Hey, you're eating up all our profits, you yellow-bellied sap sucker!" Victreebel quickly chomps on James's head in response to James's insult. "Sorry, I didn't mean it! Let me go, please!"
Lickitung is also licking up the sap.
"Hey, you're supposed to lick the twerp, not the sap!" Jessie barked.
"The real Pokémon are out to lunch," Meowth said, taking out the controls. "This looks like a job for Super Pinsir!" Meowth uses the controls to take care of them.
"It looks like Pikachu's electricity's not going to cut it, so let's try Iron Tail instead!" Sora ordered.
"Let's make it a double date! Iron Tail, Angel!" Kairi ordered.
Pikachu and Angel ran towards the the robot and smacked it, but the Iron Tail combo does nothing to it.
"So much for that plan," Sora said.
"I was hoping you would use Thunderbolt to shock us, but looks like I'll have to instead!" Meowth said, unleashing Thunderbolt, shocking the couple, the Pokémon, and Woodrow.
"That sure cut those sapplings down to size!" Jessie said.
"Hit 'em again! Hit 'em harder!" James added.
"Have a taste of the Super Pinsir crush," Meowth said, controlling the robot. The Pinsir robot moves forward to reach them.
"It's coming this way," Kairi said.
Heracross came right in front of the robot and pushes hard. They looked on with amazement.
"Heracross is helping us," Sora said.
"Pi, Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
Heracross is being pushed back by the robot, so the Singlehorn Pokémon held his ground and starts to push back.
"Come on! You can do it!" Sora said. Heracross starts to push the robot back.
"He's doing it!" Kairi cheered.
"Togepi!" Togepi chirped.
"Eevee!" Angel aadded.
"Come on! If we hurry, we can take the sap from that robot!" Sora said. With that said, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Togepi, and Woodrow went for the robot to take the sap.
"Meowth, do something!" Jessie said.
"They're going to take our hard-earned sap away!" James said.
"I'm trying, but this stick is stuck!" Meowth said. Jessie growled in frustration.
"Gimmie that thing!" Jessie said, taking the controls from Meowth. James went right towards her to grab it.
"Let me handle this, Jessie!" James said, trying to take it from her.
"Hey, cut it out! Give it back!" Meowth yelled. The control sticks broke from their squabble. "YOU IDIOTS! YOU BROKE MY TOY!"
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Togepi, and Woodrow have managed to take the sap from the robot.
"We got the sap, so it's time to take out the trash!" Sora said.
Heracross nodded and started to lift up the Pinsir robot and gave it a hurl into the air with all of his strength. Team Rocket gasped when it goes flying. The robot comes back down and explodes, sending Team Rocket goes flying.
"TEAM ROCKET IS BLASTING OFF BROKE AGAIN!" Team Rocket shouted as they go flying right in the sky. A star twinkles in the distance.
"And good riddance," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu agreed.
They hear rustling from the nearby bushes and saw the Pinsir coming back.
"The Pinsir," Sora said.
"Now that Team Rocket's gone, they're coming back home," Kairi said.
"That's right, Kairi. These Pinsir won't have any reason to leave their habitat, and the Pokémon can live in harmony," Woodrow said.
After returning to the Heracross territory, the Heracross and Butterfree went back to eating the sap to their pleasure.
"Looks like everything is starting to go back to normal," Sora said.
"That's right, Sora. Now that the Pinsir have their own food back, the Pokémon in the forest can live together in harmony again," Woodrow said.
"And we owe it all to Heracross here," Sora said.
"Heracross," Heracross said.
"You stood up to the Pinsir, and you saved the whole forest," Sora said.
"Cross," Heracross said.
"Now we'll be going," Sora said.
"Good luck on your way, the both of you," Woodrow said.
"Thank you," Kairi said.
"Well, see ya," Sora said. Just when Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi were taking off, Heracross ran up to them. Sora turned around. "Heracross?"
"What's the matter?" Kairi asked.
"Heracross," Heracross said.
"I think this one wants to go with you, Sora," Woodrow said. Sora was stunned to see it.
"You sure, Heracross?" Sora asked.
"Cross," Heracross nodded. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it. Heracross flows inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. "Welcome to the team, Heracross."
Heracross has joined Sora's team, and Sora, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi continued their way down to Violet City. Further down, Sora and Pikachu was getting some water when he spotted a small, horizon-blue elephant-like Pokémon. It has large, floppy ears, which it uses as fans to cool itself. There are two red pads on each ear and another on the bridge of its short trunk. This small trunk is sensitive, yet strong. It can send a person flying with an affectionate, playful bump of its snout. It has a single nail on each of its four feet, and a short tail. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned it.
Phanpy, the Long Nose Pokémon
Type: Ground
Phanpy uses its long nose to shower itself. When others gather around, they thoroughly douse each other with water. These Pokémon can be seen drying their soaking-wet bodies at the edge of water.
"A Phanpy, huh?" Sora asked himself, putting his Pokédex away. He knew Phanpy couldn't see him, so he took out a Pokéball and threw it. Phanpy flows inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. "And I got myself a Phanpy."
Sora has made two catches in one day, and his team keeps on expanding. We shall see how things will turn out as we progress even further.
