Pokémon: Sinnoh no Isekai

Chapter One-hundred and seventy-six: The epic heroism of Juan Carlos Santiago Dominguez Hernandez de la Santa Cruz

A Pikachu Libre, wearing a variant of its costume that replaced the orange with crimson red, had a bound Pukachu Belle and bound Pikachu Pop Star standing behind it and its gang as its prisoners. Meanwhile, a Pikachu Libre in a normally colored outfit and a Pikachu dressed up as a superhero are facing off against the evil Pikachu Libre and its gang. As the two heroic Pikachu prepared to face off against the evil gang, Kenny from off screen could be heard calling out, "Juan! Don't let those evil villains get away with their discount dastardly deeds! Hit 'em with your Latino Thunder!"

"Kenny!" Dawn scolded from off screen, "Shut up! They're trying to-"

"CUT!" a director's voice called out, "We're gonna have to take a break anyway, it's almost time to grab a bite to eat."

(EARLIER...)

The heroes were traveling on their way to their next destination when they came across a town that was seemingly full of Pikachu. "Oh man," Kenny said, "I bet the Team Rocket trio would have gone ga-ga here. Look at all of those Pikachus!"

"I say we go check it out," Ash said, leading the rest of the heroes down to the town to see all of the Pikachus. Ash's Pikachu hopped off of Ash's shoulder to race ahead. Similarly, Kenny's named Pikachu Juan came out of his ball and ran in with Ash's Pikachu to greet all of the other Pikachus. As Ash's Pikachu and Juan greeted all of the other Pikachus, the heroes all made their way over.

"Oh man, just imagine how Jessie, James, and Meowth would of reacted if they were here to see all of these Pikachus," Trip said as he looked at all of the Pikachus all playing with Ash's Pikachu and Juan.

Nodding in agreement, Kenny said, "Oh yeah. Glad to see there aren't any Pikachu-obsessed idiots around here to ruin so wonderful a moment where two Pokémon just wanna play around and have fun with their fellow Poké-"

"My goodness, two more Pikachus! And one of them is already in one of the Pikachu outfits!"

Kenny was cut off when he and the others heard an older man call out, then they were surprised when said old man came running on in and scooped up both Ash's Pikachu and Juan into his arms.

Folding his arms across his chest, Kenny said, "And just like that, my hopes and dreams have been crushed into tiny bite-sized pi-"

"Could it be?" the old man said, cutting Kenny off upon spotting him, "It is! It IS the boy who had been credited with the creation of the line of outfits for Pikachus!"

"Wait, what?" Kenny said, looking confused.

...

Later, the heroes were all at a mansion with a LOT of Pikachu-themed decor. The old man who bum-rushed Kenny, Frank, invited all of the heroes over to explain himself. It was there that Dawn, Kenny, and Ash had to explain that Kenny at most only drew up the Libre costume for Pikachu; Lila, the friend of Dawn's (and now Trip's as well) mom Johanna, was the one who came up with the other four.

"True, but they wouldn't of been spawned had it not been for Kenny," Frank said. Turning to look at where Juan sat on Kenny's lap, Frank went on, "And Kenny's Pikachu there, wearing the Libre outfit, it... it just fits, you know?"

Kenny nodded once in agreement. "Indeed. The clothes make the wrestler."

"Pikachu," Juan the Pikachu said, as always speaking in his smooth and sexy Latino accent.

As the heroes and Frank talked, a girl who Frank identified as his granddaughter Jean came walking in. "Oh, it's the boy who helped inspire the entire line of outfits for Pikachu," Jean said upon spotting Kenny, "And he's got a Pikachu in the Libre outfit."

"Yeah, and your grandpa here was saying he wants Ash's Pikachu and Kenny's Pikachu to star in the Pikachu movie he's making," Bonnie spoke up.

"So what's the movie about?" Serena asked.

"Well here's the basic premise," Frank began, "A Pikachu in the Belle outfit and a Pikachu in the Pop Star outfit are captured by an evil Pikachu in a Libre outfit-"

"Yeah no," Kenny said, "But there is no way that Imma allow Juan to be cast as a bad guy." Standing up boldly, Kenny declared, "For there is no Pikachu who is more of a hero than Juan Carlos Santiago Dominguez Hernandez de la Santa Cruz!"

Clemont went wide eyed with shock at Kenny. "...Holy geez! That's your Pikachu's full name?! Talk about a mouthful!"

Holding up a hand to cut off arguments and calm people down, Frank said, "Relax, relax, one of the Pikachu that I own will play the evil Pikachu Libre. Oh, we're gonna have to change the Libre costume my Pikachu wears so that it won't be confused with yours, Kenny."

Shrugging, Kenny suggested, "Why not replace the orange in your Pikachu's Libre costume with red?"

"Perfect!" Frank declared, "It's not only simple which will save time, but also very effective!"

Clapping her hands together, Bonnie asked, "So when do we begin filming?"

"Tomorrow," Frank replied, "I need to finish writing up the script. Just a few last minute additions and tweaks."

"Tell me," Kenny said, "Where are the Pikachus who will be sharing the big screen with Ash's Pikachu and Juan?"

Frank raised his hands and clapped in a very specific pattern, and then five Pikachus, each wearing a different Pikachu cosplay outfit, came scampering into the room. "These five are the main Pikachus who will star alongside your Pikachu and Ash's Pikachu," Frank explained to Kenny.

Pointing at Frank's Pikachu Libre, Kenny said, "We ought to get that Pikachu's outfit changed as soon as possible to replace the orange with red so it'll be more visually distinctive from Juan."

"Pika pi pikachu," Frank's Pikachu Libre spoke up, sounding like a snobby upper class white guy, "Pi pi pi pikachu."

Kenny, visibly cringing in a way to show he totally didn't like how Frank's Pikachu Libre shounded, said, "Yeah, It'll be impossible to mix up Juan with that white-sounding Pikachu of yours. Seriously, your Pikachu Libre sounds like how I imagine Boros Kazekage would sound like."

Turning to look right at Kenny, Dawn asked, "How do you even know who that is?"

Stepping forward and gesturing to Frank, Clemont said, "Don't you worry, Frank! I'll help you with finishing up writing up the script! I'll just get my Clemontic Brain kicked into gear, and the script will be finished in no time!"

Pointing at Clemont, Kenny said, "Well I just hope your new invention there won't blow up randomly during production."

"He's talking about his actual brain," Bonnie informed Kenny, "My big brother has a bit of an ego sometimes."

...

That night, while Frank and Clemont were working on the script, Jean explained things to the rest of the heroes when Kenny had asked her if she knew anything that could explain why her grandpa likes Pikachus so much. "You see, way long ago," Jean began, "Back when my grandpa was younger than I am right now, he was sick on the regular basis. He had been a sickly child."

"Did the Pikachus make him sick?" Kenny asked.

"No," Jean answered, gently shaking her head in the negative, "However, they were always coming by to try cheering him up and keeping his spirits high. Eventually, when he was well enough, my grandpa left on a journey with a Pikachu."

'Hey, didn't you leave on your journey with your Pikachu, Ash?" Trip asked.

Ash gave an affirmative nod, as did Pikachu. "Yeah, I did."

"Much later in life, my grandpa married the woman who would be my grandma," Jean went on, "And of course, Pikachus were at the wedding. Many, many year later, my grandma would pass away, leaving my grandpa alone and heartbroken, but the Pikachus as always gave him their support." Jean gave a single nod. "My grandpa, driven by how much the support of the Pikachus meant to him, wanted to show how much the Pikachus meant to him, share the smiles he got from the Pikachus to the children of the world."

Shrugging, Trip said, "And's that's why he's making a movie about and starring Pikachus?"

Standing up, Kenny as tears streamed down his face declared, "And he won't just make ANY movie about and starring Pikachus! No, he shall be making the best one in that field EVER! I swear it, or my Pikachu's name isn't Juan Carlos Santiago Dominguez Hernandez de la Santa Cruz!"

Leaning to his side to get closer to Dawn, Trip whispered to his foster sister, "Try saying that five times fast."

Dawn had to suppress a snicker as Ash got up and stood in front of Kenny. "I totally agree, Kenny," Ash said, "We owe it to Frank to help him realize his dream of producing the best Pikachu movie ever." Ash and Kenny then shook on it, signifying that they were going to help Frank achieve his dreams if it was the last thing that either of them ever did.

The next morning, while Frank and Clemont were printing off copies of the finished script, the rest of the heroes were with Jean in a costume room. She had just put onto Frank's Pikachu Libre a Libre costume that replaced the orange with red. "There, now Grandpa's Pikachu won't get mixed up with Kenny's Pikachu."

"It is very distinct," Ash remarked, before turning and seeing his Pikachu rummaging through a costume and prop bin. Pikachu came out wearing a detective hat, the shawl like thing classic detectives wear sometimes, and Pikachu was also holding a magnifying glass. Smirking in amusement, Ash said, "Well now, I'd have to say that you look pretty good there Detective Pikachu." Bonnie ran in and added a toy detective's smoking pipe and a monocle, saying that it would make the package look even more complete. After getting Pikachu to agree to it, Ash allowed Serena to take a picture of it.

After Pikachu got off the detective costume, a very tired looking Cldemont same walking in. "Here's the script," Clemont said, barely holding back a yawn, as he handed a script copy over to Ash, "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to be dead to the world for the next eight hours." Clemont then fell to his knees, fell over onto the floor face first, and proceeded to snore loudly, clearly out of it.

Kenny knelt down and picked Clemont up, saying to the others, "Imma go put him laying out on a sofa so he can at least rest somewhere more comfortably."

"Clemont said he's going to be dead!" Bonnie cried out in a clearly freaked out tone, "I don't want my big brother to die!"

"Bonnie, that's just an expression some people say sometimes to signify how tired they are and are simply planning to sleep for a while," Dawn said, "Clemont isn't really going to die."

Carrying a sleeping Clemont away, Kenny said, "Yeah, we need to work on getting you to understand figures of speech better, Bonnie. Although we may also have to work on Clemont's tact as well."

"He has the defense of being plum tired, you know," Jean pointed out.

Nodding to concede the point to Jean, Kenny replied, "True, true."

...

During production of the movie, Pikachu Libre Red, played by Frank's Pikachu Libre, held hostage Pikachu Belle and Pikachu Pop Star with the help of its minions. The Pikachus were all in a group near a cliff area when Ash's Pikachu dressed as a superhero and Kenny's Pikachu Juan in his Libre outfit came up to challenge the evil Pikachu and its minions. "Hey, the next scene could be dangerous for Pikachu," Ash said, "Maybe we can get a stunt double for him?" At that mention, Ash's Hawlucha volunteered for the role of Pikachu's stunt double; likewise, Kenny's Meowstic Hovernyan volunteered for the role of Juan's stunt double when Kenny said Juan should also have a stunt double.

After a brief pause to ready everything, the filming resumed and saw Hawlucha and Hovernyan doing their stunt double work, allowing Pikachu and Juan to shift back in without having risked hurting themselves. After the filming of the scene was completed, Frank yelled, "Cut!" After everyone relaxed, Frank said, "That was wonderful! I say we ought to break for lunch."

...

The heroes had lunch with Frank and Jean, then afterwards finish up movie production. Clemont assisted with editing, and soon enough the movie was ready. When the movie was ready to be viewed, everyone watched it in Frank's home theater. The movie was more or less the same as Dawn remembered it from the anime in her previous life, with the only differences here being that Juan was helping Ash's Pikachu, the evil Pikachu Libre had red replacing orange in its outfit to differentiate it from Juan, and Juan's appearances in the movie were accompanied by Latino acoustic guitar music.

After the movie finished, the credits began to play and, to the dry lack of surprise from Dawn, Kenny's Pikachu Juan was listed in the credits as Juan Carlos Santiago Dominguez Hernandez de la Santa Cruz. "Yeah, I had to ask Kenny to write down how to spell out his Pikachu's full name," Clemont said as he leaned closer to whisper to Dawn, "So that I could put it in the credits. I still can't believe Kenny gave his Pikachu such a long name."

Sighing in a knowing tone, Dawn said, "And that's why Kenny typically just refers to his Pikachu as Juan for short."

After the heroes had helped Frank with the production of his Pikachu movie (he said his next film will be about a Pikachu becoming a detective to solve crimes, having been inspired by the photo Serena took of Ash's Pikachu dressed as a detective), they continued on with their journey. Their travels eventually took them around to the pokéball factory located somewhere near Laverre City. "Ah, there it is," Clemont said, "The Laverre City PokéBall Factory. I've always been wanting to tour a factory where pokéballs were made."

Dawn, Kenny, Trip, and Ash all had mildly unsure looks on their respective faces. "...Hey Dawn," Ash began, "The Master Ball that Ayane had used to capture Reshiram. Didn't Team Scorn say it came from this pokéball factory?"

Dawn gave a single nod in the affirmative. "Yeah," Dawn replied in a grim tone of knowing, "I bet that if the factory workers knew that a product made in their factory led to the world at large being put into grave danger, then they'd be besides themselves with guilt."

Trip looked on at the factory with a grim look of knowing on his face. "...We probably ought to go tell the factory workers what all had happened, in case they don't know already." The rest of the group nodded in agreement with Trip before they all proceeded to head towards the pokéball factory.

...

Inside, the heroes were able to meet with the factory foreman, who conveniently enough was actually named Foreman. The heroes were able to get the meeting with Foreman less than a minute upon them entering the factory because of Dawn's reputation; a mix of her being the Sinnoh Champion, one of the heroes who took part in calming down the rampaging Garchomp in Lumiose City a while ago, and holding a noble title in the Battle Chateau. As soon as they met Foreman, the heroes asked him if there had been any Team Scorn activity at the factory at all, hoping to get new details from him.

Foreman, with a somber look on his face, nodded once in the affirmative. "Yes. A while ago, some Team Scorn members, led by an Officer who I was able to identify as former Kalos regional hero Kaito Fu, broke into the factory and stole at least one completed Master Ball." Looking to the heroes but focusing mainly on Dawn, Foreman asked, "You're here to investigate that theft aren't you, Champion Dawn?"

Nodding once, Dawn said, "My friends here and I more or less have all the details of that theft already, we just wanted to confirm if you knew anything." Dawn then proceeded to tell Foreman, without giving too many details, that Team Scorn now had a very powerful Pokémon at their beck and call thanks to the Master Ball that had been stolen from the Lavere City Pokéball Factory.

"Team Scorn has a powerful Pokémon under their control now?" Foreman nearly exclaimed, taking a step back out of shock. Settling down, Foreman gently shook his head as if he was ashamed. "Oh, and it's thanks to a product made by this factory." Looking to Dawn, Foreman asked, "I may end up regretting asking this, but exactly how powerful is the Pokémon that Team Scorn captured using the Master Ball that Kaito and his Team Scorn underlings stole from this factory? Do you know?"

Gesturing to Foreman, Trip said, "Let us put it this way. To counter the Pokémon that Team Scorn caught using that Master Ball, me, Dawn, and Kenny will have to use our respective legendary dragon Pokémon, Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina."

"That..." Foreman began, stopping short and paling a bit, "...That does not sound good at all."

"Trip," Dawn began, "I wanted to avoid giving too many details to prevent people from worrying."

"Well we had to give him an idea on how bad the situation is because he had asked for details," Trip countered.

Dawn gently shook her head before turning to look back at Foreman. "If... if you could keep word of how bad the situation is private, that'd be grand."

Foreman nodded once in understanding. "Of course. Oh, I just had an idea." To Dawn, Kenny, and Trip, Foreman went on, "If Team Scorn does indeed have a Pokémon at their beck and call that's powerful enough to warrant you three answering with your respective legendary Pokémon, then the Pokémon that Team Scorn has itself must also be a legendary Pokémon. It would go a long way to explain why Team Scorn went through so much trouble to steal a completed Master Ball." Looking to the reborn trainers, Foreman asked, "Would my guess be accurate?"

Dawn nodded once in the affirmative. "Your reasoning skills are sound."

"But you and these two boys here have one legendary Pokémon each," Foreman went on, "If you're alone, and encounter the Team Scorn member who has the legendary Pokémon, and theirs triumphs against yours, what do you think your odds of emerging victorious from that battle will be?"

"Depends on how many other Pokémon are left on each side of the battle, as well as their respective conditions," Dawn said, "But I imagine you are thinking about a worse case scenario for either myself, Kenny, or Trip in that situation."

Foreman gave an affirmative nod to Dawn. "Hence my idea comes in," Foreman said, "You three-" Foreman paused to gesture to the reborn trainers, "-Should seek out and capture more than one legendary Pokémon each. That way, each of you will have multiple to counter the one that Team Scorn has." Straightening up, Foreman went on with a grim look on his face, "It wouldn't surprise me if Team Scorn is already seeking out multiple legendary Pokémon to capture. They only have one to their name while your group currently has a combined three."

"You think that Dawn, Kenny, and Trip ought to capture multiple legendary Pokémon each?" Ash asked, sounding surprised.

"Relax, Ash," Kenny said in a reassuring tone, "I'm sure that I speak for the lads here when I say that if we do pull off what's being suggested here, we'd never consider trying to pull of a Tobias." To Foreman, Kenny went on, "But what you said about us capturing multiple legendary Pokémon, and how Team Scorn may try and pull off a similar stunt. I'm thinking that you may actually be onto something."

"That being said," Trip spoke up, "Dawn, Kenny, and I will be needing a LOT of Ultra Balls, maybe a good number of Timer Balls as well if battles with wild legendary Pokémon drag on for long enough. Some Quick Balls may also be useful, as well as Dusk Balls depending on if it's dark enough where and when we-"

Trip was cut off when Foreman held up a hand to get him to stop. "...Those all are actually rather valid ideas," Foreman went on, "And I'll be glad to supply you, Dawn, and Kenny with what all you mentioned. But I had... something else... in mind as well."

...

It wasn't just Dawn, Kenny, and Trip who were surprised; Ash, Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie were surprised as well. Foreman, in addition to supplying Dawn, Kenny, and Trip each with fifty each of the types of poké balls Trip had listed (Ultra, Timer, Quick, and Dusk), also supplied each of them with a dozen Master Balls. The fact that such a boon was possible only because of the sheer level of threat that Team Scorn posed spoke volumes of how serious Foreman was as he gave the reborn trainers their respective supplies of top of the line poké balls.

"There's also the fact that it's my fault Team Scorn got the Master Ball they used to capture a legendary Pokémon," Foreman went on, "If I had made security for the factory tighter, then they wouldn't have been able to grab what they wanted."

"Wow, this is so exciting, you guys!" Bonnie said while looking up at Dawn, Kenny, and Trip, "You guys can now potentially capture more legendary Pokémon! You guys could even get entire parties full!"

"Not that we'd need to use such potential force against anyone aside from Team Scorn and individual others who can match up," Dawn said, "Like Kenny had said, it's not like he, Trip, or I would ever consider pulling a Tobias."

"Pulling a Tobias?" Serena said questioningly, looking mildly confused.

Gesturing to Serena, Kenny explained, "There was this one guy named Tobias in the Lily of the Valley Conference that Dawn, Ash, and I competed in back when we were traveling through Sinnoh. Tobias had an entire party full of legendary Pokémon, but Dawn beat Tobias in the semifinals, and then I won against Tobias to determine third and fourth place. Dawn and I each had only one legendary Pokémon at the time."

Clemont went wide eyed with surprise. "Wow. You guys as well as Trip who can measure up to you have such skill and power already. It actually kind of scares me what it could be like if you each catch multiple legendary Pokémon."

"Well I don't think we'd have to worry," Ash remarked, "Dawn, Kenny, and Trip have proven they are good people. And I trust them to do what Dawn said and not use so much potential power unless it's against Team Scorn or others who can warrant it." The reborn trainers nodded in agreement and, after they collected their respective allotment of top end pokéballs, they thanked Foreman for his time. The heroes were then offered a tour of the factory, and Clemont more or less volunteered the entire group to take the tour without asking them, due to his own eagerness to tour the factory.

Dawn herself had an honest desire to take the tour, so she just went with the flow.

After the factory tour, the heroes took off and made their way onward along their journey to Anistar City. "Oh, I just remembered," Serena said.

The rest of the heroes turned to look at Serena. "What is it?" Ash asked.

"It's an old story my grandma told me," Serena said, "After I got back from the summer camp where I first met you, Ash." To Dawn, Kenny, and Trip, Serena went on, "The story may actually help you guys, given it's about three powerful Pokémon. Given what that I remember about the story my grandma told me about those three powerful Pokémon, chances are that they may be legendary Pokémon."

"What's the story?" Kenny asked.

Serena let out a breath, to calm and steady herself. "...The story is about three Pokémon, one each representing life, destruction, and order."

The reborn trainers' respective memories were triggered by what Serena said, as it was clear to them Serena was speaking of Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde. "Go on," Dawn said.

Nodding once, Serena said, "I don't remember too many details, but what I do remember is that the three of them balanced one another out. One is apparently a great stag that is said to usher in the growth of new life, one is a great avian that rains destruction down upon all, and the third is a great serpent that helps to keep the other two in check while making sure the ecosystem is kept balanced." The reborn trainers now knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that Serena was talking about the Kalos legendaries. If they were able to encounter them in the wild, then it would be a boon to them if they caught them to use against Team Scorn.

If Team Scorn did catch multiple legendary Pokémon, then the heroes would need multiple legendary Pokémon in turn to answer them with.

END, CHAPTER ONE-HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-SIX

Author's notes;

This chapter sees the heroes help Frank make his Pikachu movie, which changed slightly to reflect how Kenny not only also has a Pikachu, but the fact that, in the setting of the story, Kenny had been the originator of the Pikachu cosplay outfit line due to wanting to get the Libre outfit for Juan. After that, the heroes tour the Kalos Poké Ball Factory, where Kaito Fu (aka Admin Hero) got the Master Ball that Ayane used to capture Reshiram. Dawn, Kenny, and Trip are each given a supply of fifty each of Ultra, Timer, Quick, and Dusk Balls, and each of them were also given twelve Master Balls. This is to help them with efforts against Team Scorn, and they won't be using such force unless it's either against Team Scorn or is otherwise warranted. Serena also tells the rest of the heroes a story, but surely the details there won't end up being too important, right?

Anyway, the next chapter will see the heroes arrive in Dendemille Town, where Serena will have another Pokémon Showcase to take part in. She'll be facing some stiff competition, but she will be giving it her all.
