Episode 99: The Realm of Darkness Part 3
And here we have the final chapter of the Realm of Darkness arc! And the fight with Ansem starts.
Back to Sora, Kairi, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Team Rocket, and the Pokémon have arrived to an area that looks like a beach.
"Where are we now?" Ethan asked.
"I don't know," Sora said.
"You should embrace the darkness," a dark voice spoke.
"What was that?" Kris asked.
"Darkness is everything. All will be eclipsed. You understand so little. One who knows nothing can understand nothing," the voice said.
Ansem appeared before the group.
"Who are you?!" Sora exclaimed.
"You managed to survive the realm of darkness and the Heartless attacks. You were able to do so because of the Keyblades you hold. To my surprise, another was chosen and the power to use the Keyblade that sleeps within one of you have finally awoken," Ansem said.
"You didn't answer my question!" Sora said.
"Pika!" Pikachu growled.
"I have been rude. I am Ansem, the Seeker of Darkness," Ansem introduced himself.
"Seeker of Darkness?" Lyra asked, feeling scared.
"This guy definitely doesn't get out much, does he?" James asked.
"He should get himself a healthy hobby," Meowth said.
"Yeah, like collect stamps or something," Jessie said.
"Rill?" Marill asked.
"Why are you doing this?" Kairi asked.
"Because all will belong to darkness. All worlds begin in darkness, and all so end. The heart is no different. Darkness sprouts within it, it grows, consumes it. Such is its nature. In the end, every heart returns to the darkness whence it came. You see, darkness is the heart's true essence," Ansem said.
"That's not true! The heart might be weak, and sometimes it may even give in. But I learned that there's a light that never goes out," Sora said. Ansem levitates in the air and crossed his arms.
"So, you have come this far and still you understand nothing. Every light must fade, every heart return to darkness!" Ansem exclaimed as a creature that has an ink-black, muscular, humanoid form with a partially bandaged head that hosts relatively human features. The bandages are gags representing the shackles on its body. It has yellow eyes gleaming above a mouth filled with sharp teeth, as well as two long antennae spouting from the top of its head. A hole appears in between more bandages on the torso in the shape of a heart, much similar to the heart-shaped hole that appears in many of the Pureblood Heartless. Lastly, it has very large hands, its torso coming to a tail-like point that fades away into its host's body. Sora, Kairi, and Ethan summoned their Keyblades and attacked Ansem. "Come, guardian!" The Dark Figure blocked their attacks.
"That thing is blocking us!" Ethan said.
"I don't think we can take it out," Kairi said.
"Let's go around then!" Sora said. Sora ran and struck him from behind, so the Dark Figure gave him a punch.
"Sora!" Kairi gasped.
Meanwhile, Ash, Leaf, and Cascade walked on as Ash shared his story and how he came across a Keyblade himself.
"And that's about it," Ash said.
"You've been through so much. And these creatures you call Pokémon. I know there's something familiar about them, but I can't seem to remember," Cascade said. "You two must train Pokémon, don't you?"
"Yeah. There are also other Trainers that are Keyblade wielders, too. There's Sora, Kairi, and Riku. They each have a Keyblade. But I know they'll be surprised when they see I have one as well," Leaf said.
"Other Keyblade wielders have been chosen? I see. Then there is still hope for the realm of light," Cascade said.
"Hope against the Heartless, or the dark dwellers as you said," Ash said.
"We're doing what we can to keep the Heartless in check, while Sora and Kairi traveled," Leaf said.
"The Heartless would definitely do damage, so we can't really be everywhere at once," Ash said.
"If what you say is true, then you shouldn't let your guard down," Cascade said.
"You're right, Cascade. And we won't," Ash said. Just then, Neoshadows appeared before them. "There's never a dull moment!"
"Take them all out!" Cascade said.
Ash, Leaf, and Cascade attacked the attacking Heartless. The Neoshadows tried to slash at Cascade, but she unleashed her thunder spell, shocking the Heartless and destroyed them. Ash unleashed a fire spell and Leaf unleashed a blizzard spell at the Heartless, destroying them. They kept going and the Neoshadows pursued them. They eventually lost them.
"That was close," Ash said.
"But it's not over yet," Leaf said.
"She's right. It will only be a matter of time before the Heartless attacks again," Cascade said. "But they're getting more and more restless."
"Even for them they're acting aggressive," Leaf said.
"We should take this to the skies," Ash said, taking out his Pokéballs. "Charizard, Pidgeot, Dragonite, come out!" His Pokéballs came out as Charizard, Pidgeot, and Dragonite emerged from inside. Cascade was surprised to see Pokémon coming out from small balls. Ash got on Charizard's back. "Get on!"
"Okay!" Leaf said, getting on Pidgeot's back.
"On those?" Cascade asked.
"They're really nice. I promise," Ash assured. Cascade wasn't sure if she should, but she could he and Leaf could see they could trust them, so she had to too. She got on Dragonite's back and they started to fly in the dark sky.
"This is incredible. Viento would love this," Cascade said.
"Pokémon are awesome, aren't they?" Ash asked.
"They are. Hard to believe there are so many kinds of them," Cascade said. She thought of something. She remembered someone she met before when and seeing a baby girl in the man's arms. "Are my memories coming back?"
Back to the fight with Ansem, Sora, Kairi, and Ethan held their own against Ansem.
"You're finished!" Ansem said, channeling dark energy and sends it at them. Sora, Kairi, and Ethan are struck by the dark energy. Ethan got up and raised his Keyblade in the air, but the Dark Figure just grabbed him. "Did you think you could ever be a match for me?"
"Can you really blame me for trying?" Ethan asked.
"Pitiful," Ansem said, throwing Ethan. "You shall be the first to fall. The Dark Figure vanishes. A whirlpool gets under Ethan, so he starts running. The Dark Figure shoots straight up. He kept on running until the Dark Figure struck the ground, creating a shock wave. Ethan is caught in the blast.
"Ethan!" Kris and Lyra called out.
"Marill!" Marill cried.
"Submit!" Ansem yelled as the Dark Figure strikes Ethan. He surrounds himself with magenta energy. "Come. Open your heart." Sora and Kairi came at Ansem and they both unleashed their thunder spells, striking Ansem. He leads them to another part of the island. Sora, Kairi, and Ethan, Pikachu, and Angel jumped in, leaving Team Rocket, Kris, Lyra, Togepi, and Marill out.
"What a rip!" James said.
A Darkside appeared before them. Sora instantly recognized it. That was the same Heartless he fought in his dream.
"Great, those Heartless has a big and mean brother," Meowth said.
The Darkside punches the ground, causing a dark pool and mild shockwave to form. The shock wave have given birth to the Shadows.
"The floor just called out those little Heartless," Kris said.
"Sora, Ethan and I will take care of the Shadows! You deal with the big one!" Kairi said.
"On it!" Sora said. He summoned the Oathkeeper and he used it to fight the Darkside. The giant Heartless creates a dark force in the heart-shaped hole in its body, which fires dark homing missiles. Sora ran to avoid it. The Darkside tried to land a hit on him while Sora slashed its hand. Kairi, Ethan, Pikachu, and Angel fought off the Shadows. The Darkside tried to crush him, but Sora jumped and gave the Darkside a slash across the face and the Darkside dissolves into nothing. Ansem and the Dark Figure appeared before them.
"He's back," Kairi said.
"Okay, guys. We take him together," Sora said.
"Right!" Kairi and Ethan said.
"You think three against one will be enough? Prepare to be disappointed. Challenging me in my own dominion is a fatal mistake," Ansem said.
"Bring it on, Ansem!" Sora said.
"Dark Firaga!" Ansem shouted. The Dark Figure fired two dark fireballs at the Keyblade wielders. Kairi reflects one as Sora blocked with his Keyblade. "Take this!" Ansem charges at the Keyblade wielders. Sora, Kairi, Ethan, Pikachu, and Angel dodges. Angel ran right at him with Quick Attack. Ansem swats the female Eevee away, making Pikachu catch her.
"I got you, Angel!" - Pikachu subtitle.
"Thank you, Pikachu." - Angel subtitle.
Back with Ash, Leaf, and Cascade, the Pokémon kept on flying with the three Keyblade wielders riding them. Leaf then felt something.
"That was weird," Leaf said.
"What?" Ash asked.
"I think I felt something for a moment, but I'm not sure if I can have a right or wrong way to put it," Leaf said.
"You felt something?" Ash asked.
"It feels warm and familiar to me. I might be imagining it. Or maybe I'm not," Leaf said, shutting her her eyes. The image of Sora, Kairi, and Ethan appeared in her mind. She saw the Dark Figure as it snarls. She opened them quickly. "Sora! Kairi!"
"What? Sora and Kairi are here in the realm of darkness?!" Ash exclaimed.
"Yes. And there was someone else with them! A boy!" Leaf said.
"If your friends are here, then they might be in trouble. We must hurry," Cascade said. Just then, a flame hits Charizard in the chest. He crashes down.
"Ash!" Leaf gasped.
The Pokémon lands on the ground as they gasped when they saw a phantom that greatly resembles Ash.
"Hello there," the phantom Ash said.
"What? Who are you?" Ash asked.
"I should be asking you that, phony," the phantom said.
"Phony? I'm not the phony! You are!" Ash said.
"That's a real good trick. I bet the real Ash can't pull off this trick," the phantom said, summoning a Fire Red Charizard.
"Anything you can do, I can do better!" Ash said, summoning his Fire Red Charizard.
"So, you can do it. Doesn't matter to me! Bring it on!" The phantom Ash said.
The two Ashes charged at each other and they clashed their Keyblades at each other. Ash tried to overpower the phantom, and the phantom tried to do the same thing. The girls and Pokémon watched the fight between them. Leaf didn't want to stand on the sidelines.
"Ash, I'm coming to help!" Leaf said, but Cascade stopped her.
"This is Ash's fight," Cascade said.
Ash casts his fire spell, but the phantom dodged and casts a blizzard spell. Ash dodges that and he ran towards his duplicate. He swings, but the phantom blocked it. The phantom then jumped as Ash swung his Keyblade. He stared at the real Ash and they clashed their Keyblades again and again. The phantom then pushes Ash down to the ground.
"Who are you and why do you have a Keyblade?" Ash asked.
"Shut up and die!" The phantom said, swinging his Keyblade, but Ash blocked it.
"I don't have time for this mirror match! I have to find Sora and Kairi and get out of here!" Ash said.
"Oh, who cares about them? If they were stupid enough to get lost in this place then they deserve to have their hearts swallowed by the darkness," the phantom said. As then found the flaw in the phantom.
"And that's how I know you're a fake," Ash said.
"Huh? Me? Fake? No, you're the fake!" The phantom Ash argued.
"No. The real Ash would never let his friends take the fall like you would have. I would go and help my friends whenever they were in trouble," Ash said. The phantom growled and then laughed.
"I guess you got me there. I am a fake. I was created by the darkness that you refused," the phantom Ash said.
"Darkness that I rejected?" Ash asked.
"You heard me, Ash. When you came in here, I tried to take control, but you quickly brushed me aside. So I had to gain your appearance and then become you!" The phantom Ash said.
"Why would you want to become me when you are me in a way?" Ash asked.
"Because that championship should have been yours! You were so much stronger than he was! You had Sora on the ropes, but you ended up losing the final battle of the Indigo Plateau! You could have been the Champion! You could have been the one!" The phantom said. Ash closed his eyes and sighed.
"If I had to lose to someone, I'm glad it's Sora. He's my friend. We promised each other not to go easy on each other if we go and battle each other. He didn't hold back and neither did I. I helped make him into the Trainer that he is now. And if you think you can put on a cheesy disguise and try to get even with Sora, then you don't know me one bit!" Ash said.
"It seems I was mistaking. I'm going have to deal with you first! Let's go!" The phantom said.
The fight started again as the phantom fired his blizzard spell, so Ash dodged and he swung his Keyblade forward. The phantom blocked it, and it quickly turned into a sword fight. They kept clashing their Keyblades at each other. Ash slashed his chest, but he was still standing. The phantom then forms broadswords and brought them down at Ash. He dodges the swords by rolling. He then casts his thunder spell, striking him. He then came at Ash and slashed his torso.
"You're done!" Ash said.
"You would think so, but I still have an ace up my sleeve," the phantom said. Darkness quickly surrounds him and engulfs his whole body. He came out as a Heartless that resembles a Charmeleon, but the size of a Snorlax. The claws are larger and sharper. Like any Emblem Heartless, the Heartless symbol was located on its stomach.
"This has gone from hard to harder," Ash said. Charmeleon Heartless swiped its claws at Ash, so he dodged. Leaf and Cascade join in the fight. The Heartless spews flames at the Keyblade wielders. Cascade casts her reflect spell and it sends out whitish-silver orbs, striking the Heartless. The Heartless swings its tail, sprinkling embers at them. They dodge the embers and Charizard flies in to assist his partner. Charizard gave the Heartless a Slash right in the face. "Charizard! Flamethrower!" Charizard fired Flamethrower at the chest of the Heartless.
"Blizzard!" Cascade shouted, firing three icicles at the Heartless. Leaf jumped and gave it a slash with her Keyblade. Then some other Heartless appeared before them.
Some of them resembled Neoshadows, but they were dark brown and lined with by several faint, red veins. These are known as Novashadows.
With the Novashadows are Pureblood Heartless whose body is primarily spherical, similar to the Darkball, and has a large jagged crimson-colored mouth that makes up its upper body and lower head. It has a set of pointed wings, short pointed legs, and two beady yellow eyes above its mouth. On the top of its head is a pair of fiery horns which bend upwards, with two smaller extrusions from the sides. This kind of Heartless is known as the Flame Core.
"Come get some," Leaf said.
The Heartless all launched their attack, so Ash casts his blizzard spell. The lesser Heartless vaporates when they were by the ice spell. Ash then slashed through the Novashadows. Charizard slashed through the Flame Cores.
With the other Heartless dealt with, Ash, Leaf, and Cascade set their attentions to the Charmeleon Heartless. Ash got on Charizard's back and jumped off when he was close enough. He swung his Keyblade at the Heartless across the chest. The Heartless swung its tail once again, making another rain of embers. Ash dodged while Cascade uses her reflect spell to make the fireballs bounce off, making the whistish-silver orbs just like before. The orbs struck the Heartless again. Ash and Charizard gave it one more slash together, but the Heartless was surrounded by flames once again. The Heartless then turned into a Heartless into a Charizard-like creature. It had the Heartless symbol on its forehead instead of its belly. The Charizard Heartless attacked by spewing a Flamethrower right at the Keyblade wielders.
"Use Flamethrower!" Ash ordered. Charizard unleashed his own Flamethrower, hitting the Heartless Charizard on the side. It came at them, so Ash smacked it by the snout. Leaf swung her Keyblade at the claw when it tried to slash at them. Cascade jumped on its back when it started to fly and lands on its back, striking it with the Master's Defense. She brought the Heartless down.
"Ash, Leaf, now!" Cascade said.
Ash and Leaf jumped and slashed through the Heartless. The Charizard Heartless fell to the ground, beaten. A heart floats up in the air and then vanishes. The Heartless itself fades away in flames.
"That takes care of that," Ash said.
"Don't pat yourself on the back, Ash. We still have to find Sora and Kairi," Leaf said.
"You're right. Let's go," Ash said. Ash got on Charizard's back as Cascade got back on the back of Dragonite and Leaf got on Pidgeot's back and flew off.
Back with Sora, Kairi, and Ethan, they managed to hold their own against Ansem. They pointed their Keyblades at Ansem who just smiled.
"Your skills are quite impressive. I underestimated you three. But I shall finish you off right here and right now! I shall call upon more darkness to aid me!" Ansem shouted as the darkness quickly surrounds him. The Dark Figure sinks into the ground, making the darkness form into a circle. The darkness then starts to raise and take shape. The Dark Figure becomes much larger, and its lower body forms into an orb of darkness which surrounds Ansem, with two indigo wings extending from the sides and curving downward.
Team Rocket, Kris, Lyra, Togepi, and Marill were shocked to see this with their own eyes.
"Ansem just got juiced with even more darkness while inside that monster," Jessie said.
"Ethan," Kris could only say.
"Ethan, Kairi, Sora, take that monster out!" Lyra called out.
"Marill, rill!" Marill added.
"Toge, Toge!" Togepi chirped.
"Your hopes shall vanish with you to the darkness! You shall become a part of the darkness!" Ansem said.
"I don't think so, Ansem! You can call on so much darkness you want! We're going to stop you in your tracks!" Sora said.
"You are welcome to try, boy," Ansem said.
The Dark Figure unleashes shockwaves at the Keyblade wielders and Pokémon as they came rushing at them.
"Thunder!" Sora and Kairi shouted as they crossed their Keyblades and fired a bolt of lightning at Ansem.
"Come forth!" Ansem yelled. He summons a Heartless that has a simple, but surprisingly frightening appearance. It has a large, black teardrop shaped body, black bat wings, which enable it to fly and crawl around, the classic Heartless jagged jawline, and bright yellow eyes; looking closely around the eyes, blue vein-like patterns also can be seen. Ethan points his Keyblade forward. This Heartless is known as the Bit Sniper.
"Fire!" Ethan shouted, firing a fireball, hitting the Bit Sniper, destroying it. More Bit Snipers appeared, but Pikachu and Angel destroyed them by firing Thunderbolt and Swift. Sora and Kairi heads for Ansem, but the Dark Figure sends out five waves of darkness at the couple, so Sora and Kairi dodges and swung their Keyblades at Ansem. The Dark Figure grabbed Kairi.
"Kairi!" Sora exclaimed as he jumped up and slashed the Dark Figure's arm, making it drop her.
"Sora!" Kairi exclaimed as the Dark Figure attempts to grab him, but Kairi shoots a beam of light from the Destiny's Embrace at the Dark Figure. Sora moved in with his two Keyblades and slashed right at Ansem on the inside.
"Don't think you have won, because there is still more to come!" Ansem said. The darkness spreads all around, blanketing everyone in it.
Over to Ash, Leaf, and Cascade, they land in the area around where Sora, Kairi, and the others have encountered Ansem.
"We have to be close to them by now," Ash said.
"We are. I can feel them nearby," Leaf said.
"Where do we start looking?" Ash asked.
"Probably in the most dangerous place," Cascade said. "We should head there."
Ash and Leaf both agreed, but the ground starts shaking. A horde of Shadows came from from the ground behind them. Ash, Leaf, and Cascade quickly turned around and saw the Shadows moving like a flowing river. This is known as Demon Tide.
"Not again!" Leaf said.
"We gotta deal with them!" Ash said.
"Right. We cannot let them stop us!" Cascade said.
Ash summoned the Star Seeker and Fire Red Charizard as Leaf summoned her Leaf Green Venusaur, and Cascade summoned the Master's Defense. The Demon Tide comes at them so they dodge. The Demon Tide turns back around and comes st them again. Ash and Leaf slashed at the Demon Tide when it dove at them. Some of the Shaodws fell of and vaporates into puffs of darkness. The Demon Tide heads for the ground and the Shadows comes at them. Their yellow eyes glows red a few seconds later. Ash, Leaf, and Cascade struck down the charging Shadows. The Shadows returned to each other and flowed again and dove straight to the ground. Seconds later, the Demon Tide erupts from the ground and comes at them again, but Ash jumped on the back of the Demon Tide.
"Leaf, Cascade! Now!" Ash shouted.
"Here!" Leaf shouted, swinging her Keyblade, taking off a small chunk. Cascade aimed the Master's Defense in front of the Demon Tide and chains of light came from it, surrounding the Demon Tide, turning it into a ball of Heartless.
"Come on!" Cascade shouted.
They slashed through the Demon Tide repeatedly. The three of them points their Keyblades upwards and light spirals around them and struck the Demon Tide and breaks the chain of light. The Demon Tide dove into the ground again. The sky around them turns bloody red and erupted from the ground beneath them. They all gave off a red glow. Ash, Leaf, and Cascade ran to dodge it, so the Demon Tide came fast and turned into a Shadow tornado. They dove in when the Demon Tide changed from red to blue-purple. They attacked the core of the Demon Tide, but the Shadows pushed them out when it changed back to red. The Shadows tornado spits out some of the Shadows and poofed into darkness. Orbs of Shadows are launched from the ground as Ash, Leaf, and Cascade dodged them by running. Cascade is struck and the orbs of Shadows tried to hit her, but she dashed in the air, avoiding the Heartless. Ash, Leaf, and Cascade heads for the Demon Tide and each have given one swing from their Keyblades and destroyed the core, making the Demon Tide dissolve into the darkness where they came.
"Let's keep going," Leaf suggested. Ash and Cascade nodded in agreement. They walked toward where Sora and the others are.
Sora, Kairi, Ethan, Pikachu, and Angel looked around. Kris, Lyra, Team Rocket, Marill, and Togepi do the same thing.
"What now?" Meowth asked.
"Behold the endless abyss. Within it lies the the Door to Darkness!" Ansem announced as a tall white door appeared.
"Door to Darkness?" Sora asked.
"Look as hard as you are able. You'll not find even the smallest glimmer of light. From those dark depths are all hearts born. Even yours," Ansem said. Everyone gasped when they saw a titanic battleship and easily one of the largest Heartless they have ever seen. It seems to be almost entirely organic and made of twisted, discolored flesh. Its body is very long and flat on top. Its face is on the front tip of its body, and its main core is located on top of its body towards its rear. The core is covered by a twisted, dark pink cage. On top of this cage are Ansem and the Dark Figure, now much larger—though still small in comparison to the giant Heartless and heavily altered in appearance. Ansem is also shirtless. It is colored in a mix of faded pink, cyan, brown, and yellow. Two leg-like protrusions are attached to the battleship's underside. The foremost one, underneath the Heartless's face, is long, thin, and triangular. The rearmost one, underneath the main core, is a wide, thin arc. A long, rocky "tail" sprouts from the battleship's back. The battleship's Face is demonic and sports a long, pointed chin and a bulbous forehead. Its mouth is filled with large, white fangs and its eyes are fairly small, glowing yellow, and surrounded by black rings. The Main Core of the battleship is a bulbous, deformed, blue organ covered in violet growths of varying sizes. The most prominent of these growths has a faint silhouette of a skull on it, with the eye sockets, nasal socket, and gaps in the teeth being white. Two smaller growths near the top of this main one are oriented in a way that resembles a Pokéball symbol. The battleship's various Room Cores are all circular and red with gray edges. They have small yellow spots placed randomly on them and have a thin, blue-green, teardrop-shaped additive floating above its tip and below its bottom. The smaller of the Heartless battleship's two artillery organs are comprised of two jagged, blue tentacles with blue-white tips that clamp together. They are yellow on the inside and grown from purple bumps on the battleship. The larger artillery organs are more ornate, being blue with turquoise additives and smoother edges. They are pink on the inside and grown from large, purple bumps with turquoise patterns on them. It is known as the World of Choas. "Darkness conquers all worlds!"
They get sucked in by a strong wind.
"TEAM ROCKET'S BLASTING OFF FOR GOOD!" Team Rocket shouted as they go in one of the Room Cores. Ethan, Lyra, Kris, and Marill gets pulled into another.
"Sora!" Kairi cried.
"Kairi!" Sora exclaimed.
Ash, Leaf, and Cascade arrived just in time and witnessed it. Cascade recognized the couple.
"It's them," Cascade said in her thoughts.
"SORA! KAIRI!" Ash called out.
"Ash?!" Sora and Kairi exclaimed.
"What are you-" Sora was cut off.
"No time to explain, Sora! Just take out that monster!" Ash called out.
"Right!" Sora said, readied the Kingdom Key and Oathkeeper. Kairi readied the Destiny's Embrace. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi raced toward him.
Ansem himself holds a double-edged Soul Eater in his hands. He swung it as Sora and Kairi swung their Keyblades at him, but he clashed by swinging the double-edged Soul Eater. Pikachu and Angel came at him with Iron Tail.
"Still confused? Perhaps this will enlighten you," Ansem said, summoning lasers, shooting at the couple. Togepi swings his arms around and the attack came out to be Giga Impact, much to Sora and Kairi's surprise. Ansem is struck hard by Giga Impact.
"Togepi? When did you learn how to use Metronome?" Kairi asked.
"Toge," Togepi chirped.
"Eevee!" Angel called out. Kairi looked at her and her face told her to figure it out later.
"You're right, Angel! We have to take Ansem out!" Kairi said.
The couple and the Pokémon came at Ansem again and attempted to strike at him. Ansem then lays back into the Dark Figure and the Emblem of the Heartless appeared to seal him in. They dove in one of the Room Cores and engaged a horde of Shadows waiting for them. The Shadows came at the couple and Pokémon, but they struck the Heartless with the Keyblades as Pikachu and Angel came at them with Iron Tail, destroying them. They kept at it until the Shadows were all destroyed and a blue core appeared.
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fired Thunderbolt, hitting the core. Sora and Kairi unleashed their thunder spells into a magical combo, destroying it.
They flew out of the Core Room and the artillery organs fired their attacks at them, Sora and Kairi each took out a Pokéball and opened it.
"Cyndaquil!" Sora and Kairi called out as their Cyndaquil came out and lands on their shoulders. "Flamethrower!" Both Cyndaquil fired Flamethrower, burning the artillery organs to a crisp until they were gone. They called the Cyndaquil back and dove in another Core Room. Inside are Ethan, Kris, Lyra, and Marill with the Darkballs.
"Sora, Kairi!" Ethan, Kris, and Lyra shouted.
"Guys! You're alive!" Sora exclaimed.
"You too!" Ethan said.
"Take out the Heartless!" Kairi yelled.
"That's the plan!" Ethan said.
"Marill! Bubble Beam!" Lyra ordered. Marill fired Bubble Beam at the Darkballs. Kris took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Little Miss!" Kris called out. A Misdreavus came out to assist. "Use Shadow Ball!" Little Miss fired a Shadow Ball, hitting the Darkballs.
They kept on fighting until the Darkballs were all destroyed. The same kind of core appeared, but it was yellow. Sora and Kairi slashed through it together and caused it to explode. It was their cue to escape. They reached the face of the World of Chaos.
"That's a mug I don't want looking back at me," Lyra said.
"Marill!" Marill said.
"After we're done with it, we won't ever again!" Sora said.
"Come on!" Ethan said.
Sora, Kairi, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, and the Pokémon engaged the face of the Heartless battleship, but fought back by shooting energy down at them. Energy erupts around the face so they kept on attacking it until it gave off a slacked jaw expression. A portal appeared in the mouth and they went in. To their surprise it was Team Rocket, still alive. But they're running from the Invisibles.
"Look!" Meowth exclaimed.
"The twerps!" Jessie gasped.
"For once, I'm glad to see you!" Sora said.
"The feeling is mutual," Jessie said.
"Jessie, James, send out Arbok, Weezing, Mime Jr, Lickitung, and Victreebel! You gotta help fight the Heartless!" Kairi said.
"I don't need to be told twice!" James said, taking out his Pokéballs.
"It's better than letting them have our hearts!" Jessie said. "Besides, I'm far too beautiful to be a Heartless!"
"It ain't gonna matter unless we take these bozos out!" Meowth said.
"Arbok, Lickitung! I choose you!" Jessie called out. Arbok and Lickitung emerged from inside.
"Weezing, Mime Jr, Victreebel! Go!" James yelled. Weezing, Mime Jr and Victreebel appeared from inside and heads to chomp on James's head. "No, not me! Them! Chomp on the Heartless!"
"Arbok! Use Poison Sting! Lickitung! Use Shadow Ball!" Jessie ordered. Arbok and Lickitung fired their attacks at the Invisibles.
"Weezing! Use Sludge Bomb! Victreebel! Use Razor Leaf! Mime Jr! Use Copycat!" James ordered. Weezing fired Sludge Bomb as Victreebel fired Razor Leaf. Mime Jr unleashes Razor Leaf, copying Victreebel. They attacks struck the Invisibles as Sora, Kairi, and Ethan slashed the Invisibles with their Keyblades. One of the Invisibles stabs the ground with its sword and vanishes. A ring of dark fire surrounds Arbok.
"Mime Jr! Use Psychic to help Arbok!" James ordered. Mime Jr uses Psychic to lift up Arbok before it closed on him.
"Thanks, James," Jessie said.
"We're not called Team Rocket for nothing! It's a team effort!" James said.
Everyone fought the Heartless until they were all destroyed. Another core appeared, but this one was red, so Sora and Kairi destroyed that one, causing it to explode. Sora, Kairi, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Team Rocket, and the Pokémon all flew out.
"Hey, we can fly!" Meowth exclaimed.
"Peter Pan can eat his heart out!" James said.
The face then explodes, leaving the main core opened for attack.
"That's gotta be the source to Ansem's power!" Ethan said.
"Then let's take it out!" Sora said.
"Pika!" Pikachu agreed.
Everyone agreed and went for it. The artillery organs launched their attack in defense.
"Let's take those out!" Sora said. "Pikachu! Thunderbolt!"
"Use Swift, Angel!" Kairi ordered.
Pikachu and Angel fired their attacks, destroying the artillery organs. They head right for the main core of the World of Chaos. Sora, Kairi, and Ethan worked together to destroy it. Once it was destroyed, Ansem is unsealed and he summoned his double-edged Soul Eater once again.
"All shall be extinguished!" Ansem said, swinging his weapon.
"That's what you think!" Sora said, coming at him with his Keyblades. Ansem swung his weapon, reflecting Sora's attack.
"You messed with the cat, so here comes the claws! Have a taste of my Fury Swipes!" Meowth yelled, getting his claws ready. He scratches Ansem's chest, but he isn't phased.
"Pathetic little creature," Ansem said, throwing Meowth, hitting Jessie. She growled.
"You'll pay for that! Arbok! Use Wrap now!" Jessie ordered. Arbok heads towards Ansem and wrapped his body around him and squeezed. Ansem easily broke out of Arbok's grip.
"He isn't even gasping for air!" James said.
"Also, he isn't even scratched by Meowth's Fury Swipes," Jessie added.
"Nothing you do will be enough to defeat me. And here is why. Witness true power!" Ansem shouted as dark energy shoots everywhere. Sora and Kairi shields each other, but felt a strong light.
"You two must combine your lights into one," a voice said.
"Combine our lights?" Sora and Kairi repeated. The Kingdom Key and Destiny's Embrace floats in the air and then they merge into one new Keyblade. They have the designs of the Kingdom Key and Destiny's Embrace. They held the handle of the Keyblade and they fired a large beam of light into Ansem's chest. He screams in pain.
"IMPOSSIBLE!" Ansem roared. The World of Chaos explodes repeatedly. Ansem is back in his clothing. "It is futile. Your Keyblades alone cannot seal the Door to Darkness. Hear me, Kingdom Hearts! Fill me with the powers of darkness!"
"I don't think so!" Sora said as he and Kairi held their Keyblade together.
"We can still stop you, Ansem! And we'll do it with-" Kairi said before she and Sora finished together.
"OUR LIGHT!" Sora and Kairi finsihed. Ansem is caught in the light.
"So much light. This cannot be," Ansem said as he vanishes. The Keyblade seperates into the Kingdom Key and Destiny's Embrace after Ansem was defeated.
"They did it," Leaf said.
"I knew they could do it. But what was Team Rocket doing here?" Ash asked.
"Who knows?" Leaf asked.
"This could be our chance to get out," Cascade said.
"Right. That door might be it," Ash said. Just when they were about to get to the group, they saw the Demon Tide coming at them.
"No!" Cascade exclaimed.
The group turned and saw the Demon Tide coming at them.
"No! Not more Heartless!" Jessie cried.
"Run for that door!" Meowth yelled.
They started to run, but Cascade surrounds them in the chain of light.
"Back off!" Cascade said. Ash and Leaf saw her hold her own.
"Hold on, Cascade! I'm gonna help you!" Ash said.
"Go without me!" Cascade said.
"Cascade, no!" Ash yelled.
"It's okay, Ash! I waited a long time in this place, and I suppose I can wait a little longer. Just find Gaia and Viento! And tell them both I'm sorry," Cascade said.
"Cascade, please! We can get out together!" Ash said.
"Ash, Leaf, even though it was a short time, but I consider you both my friends. And our friendship is what I will treasure," Cascade said. The chain of light broke and took Cascade in, screaming.
"CASCADE!" Ash yelled. He tried to run to save her, but Leaf stopped him.
"Ash, no! They will take you, too!" Leaf said, holding him back. The Demon Tide heads for another door and it shuts once the Demon Tide went through. The door vanishes.
Ash clutched his fist and he looked on.
"Cascade, thanks. We couldn't have made it through this place without your help," Ash said with tears streaming from his eyes. He turned to Leaf.
"Come on, Ash. We gotta go without her," Leaf said.
"But..." Ash said.
"She's going to be just fine. She made this far already," Leaf said.
"You're right. She'll survive. She'll keep fighting," Ash said. "Our friends needs us more."
Just then, Ash and Leaf joined Sora, Kairi, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Team Rocket, the Pokémon.
"Ash, Leaf, it was you after all," Sora said.
"Yeah. Just glad to see you're okay," Ash said.
"How did you get here?" Kairi asked.
"We didn't come here by choice, but we gotta seal that door," Leaf said.
"How?" Sora asked.
"Maybe if we use all of our Keyblades all at once," Ethan said.
"It's worth a shot," Sora said.
"No, by two keys at once," a voice said. Sora knew the voice and looked inside. He saw his father. He held a Keyblade similar to the Kingdom Key, but the colors are reversed. The hilt is silver and the key itself is gold. "Your Keyblade was forged from the realm of light while this one is forged from darkness. Two keys of light and darkness shall be enough to seal the Door to Darkness! Only when we do it together!"
"But-" Sora said.
"It's okay. It won't have any affect on me. I can get in and out anytime I want, so I can help," Kaito said.
"Dad, you can't disappear on me again," Sora said.
"I never did, and I never will. Now, together!" Kaito said as he and his son used the two Keyblades and sealed the Door to Darkness. Once it was sealed, light surrounds them all. Sora, Kairi, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Team Rocket, and the Pokémon were back in Johto while Ash and Leaf ended up back in Kanto.
"We're back!" Sora said.
"Where did Ash and Leaf go?" Kairi asked.
"Probably back home," Sora said.
"That's good," Ethan said.
"We're back where we belong!" Jessie said.
"No more Heartless in every corner!" James said.
"That's actually a good thing!" Meowth said.
"And since that Ansem has been dealt with, it looks like it's back to business as usual!" Jessie said. "Get Pikachu!"
"Yeah!" James and Meowth agreed as they leapt toward the Mouse Pokémon to grab him.
"I don't think so! Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fired Thunderbolt shocking Team Rocket, sending them flying.
"Better this than being bested by the Heartless," James said.
"Anything but the Heartless," Jessie said.
"On top of that, we're going out with style," Meowth said.
"WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Team Rocket shouted as they go flying. A star twinkles in the distance.
"Some things never change," Sora said. He turned to Ethan, Kris, and Lyra. "Sorry you had to go through all that."
"It's okay, Sora. Just glad it worked out in the end," Ethan said.
"Yeah, but the Heartless are still going to be a problem for everyone as long as darkness still exists," Sora said.
"That's right. If only there were hearts filled with light, and they'll go away for good," Kairi said.
"Pika, Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Toge, Toge," Togepi said.
Over to Kanto, Ash looked in the sky and he sighed.
"Cascade. You've been through so much since then. I promise that I will find a way back in the realm of darkness and get you out. I swear it," Ash vowed. Leaf looked at Ash from behind a tree and sighed. She thought a lot about Cascade.
"Stay strong, Cascade," Leaf said.
Now that everyone is out of the realm of darkness after defeating Ansem, everything won't be the same. Will Ash keep his promise and save Cascade from the realm of darkness? And what other surprises are coming Sora and Kairi's way? More to come soon.
