Episode 102: Tracey, the Pokémon Watcher

A couple of hours came and went after Kairi has added Unown to her team. She decided to give her newest Pokémon a shot by some training.

"Okay, Unown! Use Hidden Power!" Kairi ordered. Unown forms green orbs around its body and sends it at a nearby tree.

"That was great, Kairi. You're handling your new Unown like a natural," Sora said.

"Thanks, Sora. I was going to say the same about Natu and Yanma," Kairi said. Yanma lands right on Sora's head.

"Yan-Yan!" Yanma buzzed.

"Well, Yanma's personality definitely changed from greedy horder mode to friendly after a short time," Sora said.

"He really likes you, Sora," Kairi said, giggling.

A girl approached the couple.

"Hey! You with the Yanma!" The girl said. They turned to see her. "Are you a Pokémon Trainer by any chance?"

"Yeah," Sora said.

"Great! I was looking for someone to battle! So, let's have a one-on-one Pokémon battle!" The girl said.

"Fine with me," Sora said.

"Pika!" Pikachu said, ready to go.

"Okay!" The girl said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "I'm sending you out, Flaaffy!" Her Pokéball opened and it unleashed a pink, bipedal, ovine Pokémon. It has thick, conical ears with black stripes on the sides of its head and small, blue eyes. A white mane of wool covers its head and upper body. This mane forms sideways curls on the top of its head. It has stubby arms and one nail on each foot. Its long tail has black stripes and is tipped with a blue orb. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned it.

Flaaffy, the Wool Pokémon

The evolved form of Mareep

Type: Electric

Flaaffy's wool quality changes so that it can generate a high amount of static electricity with a small amount of wool. The bare and slick parts of its hide are shielded against electricity.

"Now that you got your lesson on Flaaffy, how about we get the show on the road!" The girl said.

"You asked for it!" Sora said. He remembered his promise to Pikachu to use him for the next battle. Pikachu, go for it!" Pikachu stepped in to battle. "Start things up with Quick Attack!" Pikachu ran towards Flaaffy with his speed attack.

"Flaaffy! Use Take Down!" The girl ordered. Flaaffy ran towards Pikachu and lands a hit with Take Down. Flaaffy took some recoil damage from the hit. "Use Thunderbolt!"

"You use Thunderbolt, too!" Sora ordered. Both Pikachu and Flaaffy fired their attacks at each other and blocked each other. They held on until an explosion occurs between them. "Use Iron Tail!"

"Grab Pikachu and use Seismic Toss!" The girl ordered. Flaaffy waited for Pikachu to get close enough and grabs the Mouse Pokémon. Flaaffy jumped in the air and threw him onto the ground. Pikachu gets back up. "Use another Seismic Toss!"

"Quick Attack to dodge!" Sora ordered. Pikachu dodges and lands a hit onto the Wool Pokémon. "Use Iron Tail!" Pikachu swings his tail at Flaaffy, dealing some extra damage. "One more Quick Attack!" Pikachu darts at Flaaffy, dealing some damage onto it, knocking out Flaaffy. She gasped.

"No way!" The girl gasped.

"Good job, Pikachu," Sora said.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.

"That was awesome! Your Pikachu isn't just cute, but tough, too!" The girl said.

"Thanks. Your Flaaffy was really awesome, too," Sora said. The girl smiled.

"Thanks. But I'll be winning the next time I see you," the girl said.

"I don't doubt it," Sora said. The girl took off, leaving the couple and Pokémon.

"That was a great battle, Sora," Kairi said.

"Thanks, Kairi," Sora said. He looked at Yanma with a smile. "You enjoyed that, Yanma?"

"Yan-Yan!" Yanma said.

"You'll have your chance to battle soon enough. I promise you that," Sora said. Yanma smiled at his new Trainer and he smiled back.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket have lost the trail to Sora and Kairi once again. They're wondering through a dark forest.

Jessie grunts in anger, "I can't believe we lost the twerps again! It's already bad enough that we lose to them, but we lose track of them is just as bad!"

"It could be worst," Meowth said.

"How?" Jessie asked.

"We could run into Heartless again," Meowth said.

"I really hate Heartless," Jessie hissed. Something lands on the branch of a nearby tree. It is an avian Pokémon that resembles an owl. It has light brown plumage with a darker brown pattern of triangles on its chest. Its fan-like tail is the same dark brown, while its wings are a slightly lighter shade of brown with light brown undersides. It has red eyes with black rings around them and a second, cream-colored ring around the first. Above its eyes are bushy, cream-colored feather "horns" that resemble large eyebrows. Its small beak and talons are pinkish, and its feet are cream-colored with three toes facing forward and one backward. This Pokémon is known as a Noctowl. "What kind of Pokémon is that?"

"I think it is a Noctowl. And if I'm remembering this right, Noctowl is the evolved form of Hoothoot," James said. Meowth gets an idea.

"Say, we can capture that Noctowl and bring her to the boss," Meowth said.

"Yes! That Noctowl should give us a leg-up with the boss!" Jessie said.

"Let's get it!" James said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Weezing! Go!" He lets out his Weezing, ready to go. "Weezing! Use Sludge Bomb!" Weezing spews Sludge Bomb at Noctowl, but the owl-like Pokémon dodges and her eyes gave off a light blue glow and Team Rocket started to yawn.

"All of a sudden, I feel like getting some z's," Meowth yawned.

"Me too," James said in a sleepy tone.

"Me three," Jessie said as she and her colleagues fell asleep. As they slept, Noctowl flew off in the forest. Jigglypuff is in the same forest and scribbles on the faces of wild Pokémon that fell asleep as she sang. Everywhere she went, everyone fell asleep whenever she sang her song. She stumbled onto Team Rocket and began to scribble on their faces, same as the other Pokémon.

Back with Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi, it was night and they stopped to make camp to sleep.

"What a day," Sora said.

"It sure was, Sora," Kairi said. "It sure was interesting." She thought back to the Unown showing them Sora's memories just like that. She had ti admit, it was the strangest thing she had ever seen.

"Well, let's get some sleep. We'll get back on the road in the morning," Sora said.

"I agree. Can I have a good night kiss?" Kairi asked.

"Sure," Sora said. He moved in and gave his girlfriend a light kiss on the lips. Once their lips departed, they fell right to sleep.

On the next morning, we see Team Rocket waking up.

"What a great sleep," James said.

"I slept heavier than a Snorlax," Meowth said. They looked at each other and they screamed.

"OUR FACES! LOOK AT OUR FACES!" Team Rocket exclaimed as they rubbed their faces clean.

"It has to be that Jigglypuff again!" Jessie said.

"I agree, Jess. She's the only Pokémon we know who draws on our faces," James said.

"I thought I had a dream of someone coloring my face with a crayon. But it felt too moist to be one," Meowth said.

"We'll deal with Jigglypuff later. Right now, we'll have to get back to searching for the twerps," James said.

"Agreed," Jessie said. "Let's back on track and find those damn brats before we run into anymore trouble."

Team Rocket walks through the forest and their stomachs growled.

"I'm so hungry," James whined.

"We all are hungry, James! Talking about it only makes us hungrier," Meowth said.

"Maybe a quick breakfast will help build some of our strength," Jessie said. They looked around and they spotted a wild Teddiursa with a big red apple in its paws. "An apple!" Jessie's eyes lit up and she ran to the little bear Pokémon swiping the apple from the Teddiursa. The little Teddiursa started to cry.

"Ursa!" Teddiursa bawled. "Teddi, Teddi, Teddiursa, Ursa, Teddiursa."

"Meowth, what is this Teddiursa's problem?" Jessie asked.

"That Teddiursa just said to give that back or she's going to tell her mama on you," Meowth translated.

"Oh, is that so?" Jessie asked sarcastically. "You can have it back after I'm done with it." Jessie ate the apple in front of the little Teddiursa. The little bear Pokémon cried louder. "Here you go. Here's your apple core. Enjoy." Jessie laughed as Meowth froze in fear and shaking like a leaf in autumn.

"Uh, Jessie," Meowth said, shaking.

"What do you want, Meowth? Can't you see that I'm trying to savor the apple in my tummy?" Jessie asked.

"I can see that. And so can she," Meowth said.

"Yes, I can see this Teddiursa could see it," Jessie said.

"Not her," Meowth corrected her before he jumped on her shoulder and turned her head to face what he was looking at. "HER!" They turned to see a bipedal, ursine Pokémon. Its broad body is covered in brown fur, except its muzzle, inner ears, and paw pads, which are a light tan. It has narrow eyes, a triangular, black nose, and a wide mouth with small, visible fangs in the upper jaw. The fur on the Pokémon's shoulders is longer and more structured, with rectangular extensions that resemble epaulettes. There is a large, tan, ring-shaped mark on its chest. Its forelimbs are long, ending in five claws each, while its hind legs are short and thick, ending in three claws each. Its tail is large and spherical in shape.

"AN URSARING!" Team Rocket exclaimed as Ursaring roared. They ran for their lives, so Ursaring fired Hyper Beam right Team Rocket, making them fly in the air.

"ALL I DID WAS EAT A LOUSY APPLE! THAT URSARING DIDN'T HAVE TO GO BALLISTIC ON US LIKE THAT!" Jessie roared.

"At least one of us got a meal out of it," James said.

"Too bad I can't say the same for the both of us, James," Meowth said.

"I just hope we land on something soft, like the world's largest pancake," James said.

"WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Team Rocket exclaimed as they go flying. A star twinkles in the distance.

Over to Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi, Sora woke up fast and sat up. He looked around after he heard a strange, but familiar sound.

"Huh? Wha? What was that?" Sora asked as he looked around. Kairi sat up with a yawn.

"What's wrong, Sora?" Kairi asked with a yawn.

"I thought I heard something just now. And it sounded like it was above us," Sora said.

"Pika," Pikachu said in his sleep.

"You must have imagined it, Sora," Kairi said.

"You're probably right. It does seem rather silly," Sora said. "But it's time to get up." He yawns and stretches.

A few minutes later, Sora, Kairi, and the Pokémon had some breakfast which Sora has enjoyed the pancakes Kairi has made. Suddenly they heard a crying sound.

"You hear that?" Kairi asked.

"I did, and it sounded very close," Sora said. The couple and Pokémon got up and went over to investigate. They gasped when they saw something. It was a baby Kangaskhan, being bullied by three Trainers. One has a Hitmonchan, one has a Beedrill, and one has a Spearow.

"I called dibs on this baby Kangaskhan first!" One of the Trainers said.

"No way! I did!" The other Trainer said.

"Take a number, you two! I called dibs on it!" The third Trainer said.

"How about all three of us take a shot and the fastest takes the baby!" The second Trainer said.

"Hey!" Sora called out. The three Trainers turned to the couple with a scowl. "You think you're real men to gang up on a little baby, then someone didn't do a good job at raising you!"

"You leave that baby alone, you big apes!" Kairi added.

"Pika!" Pikachu exclaimed.

"Eevee!" Angel also exclaimed.

"Who do you think you are, sticking your nose into our business?" The third Trainer asked.

"Someone who thinks that only a coward picks on a baby," Sora said.

"Who do you think you are, calling us cowards?!" The second Trainer roared.

"Nobody disrespects us and walks away!" The Trainer exclaimed. "We'll crush you both for getting in the way!"

"So, you're gonna bully us like you bully that baby Kangaskhan? Go right ahead and try!" Sora taunted.

"We'll give you a scolding you won't forget!" Kairi said.

"Okay, Spearow, go to work! Use Fury Attack!" The first Trainer ordered.

"Hitmonchan! Use Dynamic Punch!" The second Trainer ordered.

"Beedrill! Use Twineedle!" The third Trainer ordered.

"Okay, Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered.

"Angel! Use Headbutt!" Kairi ordered.

The Pokémon all charged at each other to battle. But they were interrupted by a new voice.

"Hold it!" The voice spoke. The Pokémon all stopped in their tracks. The Trainers and Pokémon all turned to see a young man in front of them. He has olive green hair and brown eyes. His main outfit is a short-sleeved, green shirt with a darker green border on it, dark red shorts, a headband which was colored salmon, white socks, an orange backpack, and tennis shoes colored purple and bright orange, with white soles. He took out measuring tape. "This will only take a second." The young man measured the Spearow, Hitmonchan, and Beedrill. He took out a sketchbook and a pencil. "Hm. The feathers on your Spearow indicates that he's not getting enough vitamins. And he could lose a few pounds. The coloring on your Beedrill is poor. And it's obvious to me that this Hitmonchan is clearly not getting enough exercise. All of these Pokémon are all pitifully underdeveloped."

The three Trainers didn't take too kindly to his comment. The young man approached Pikachu and Angel.

"What do you mean underdeveloped?" The first Trainer asked.

"Who made you the expert?" The second Trainer asked.

"But this Pikachu is developed just perfectly. I can tell just by the shiny coat. I just want to make a quick sketch," the young man said. He picked up Pikachu and placed him down in front of him. He started to make a sketch. "Don't move." Once he was done, he took out a couple of electrodes. "The electric sacs in your Pikachu's cheeks looks like they're in super shape. I would like measure your electric power. Give me an Electric-type move."

The Trainers just stood there, dumbfounded. They blinked twice when they remembered that they're about to have a battle.

"Hey, there's a battle to be had!" The second Trainer exclaimed.

"He's right! We can't just let them ignore us!" The third Trainer said.

"Then let's get them!" The first Trainer said. They tried to rush them. Sora and Kairi gasped.

"Look out!" Sora yelled.

"Eevee!" Angel cried.

"Pika-CHU!" Pikachu shouted, firing a Thunderbolt at Hitmonchan, Spearow, Beedrill, and the three Trainers, along with the young man.

"That's quite a jolt," the young man said in a daze, making the three Trainers run off. The three Trainers and Pokémon ran as fast as they could.

"I didn't think they would be so tough!" The first Trainer yelled in fear.

"We should teach them a lesson for this!" The second Trainer said.

"Forget it! If my pops has taught me anything, he taught me to never pick a fight with someone who can kick my ass without lifting a finger!" The first Trainer said.

"And don't come back!" Sora called out after them. He turned to the baby Kangaskhan. "It's okay, little one. They're gone." The baby was scared of Sora. "I won't hurt you." He gently moved his hands to pick her up, but she bit his hand just before she could touch her. "OUCH!"

"You okay?" The young man asked.

"Yeah. I took worse than a bite on the hand," Sora said, rubbing his hand.

"This baby Kangaskhan doesn't seems to trust humans after what she's been through," the young man said.

"You're right. We got to let her know it's okay," Kairi said. Angel went over to the baby Kangaskhan and rubbed her head, letting her know it was safe. The baby complied to the female Eevee. The baby followed her.

"Is that your Eevee?" The young man asked.

"Yes. Angel is trying to help her out," Kairi said.

"There's a Pokémon Center down this way, so maybe the infant can be led by your Eevee," the young man said.

It didn't take them long for them to reach the Pokémon Center, so the baby Kangaskhan was placed on a stretcher by the Blissey helping out.

"Will the baby Kangaskhan be okay, Nurse Joy?" Kairi asked.

"You have nothing to worry about. We'll take good care of her," Nurse Joy said. She joined the Blissey in the back.

"It was a good thing you knew the way to get here, man," Sora said.

"We really appreciate it," Kairi said.

"It's my pleasure. I should introduce myself. My name is Tracey Sketchit," Tracey introduced himself.

"I'm Sora and you already know Pikachu," Sora said.

"And I'm Kairi. And you also already know Angel. And this is Togepi," Kairi said.

"Pikachu," Pikachu said.

"Eevee," Angel said.

"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped.

"A pleasure to meet you both," Tracey said with a smile.

"Are you by any chance a Pokémon Watcher?" Kairi asked.

"Yes, I am. Why do you ask?" Tracey asked.

"Well, because my dad mentioned that he met one before when he was my age," Kairi explained.

"I didn't know that, Kairi," Sora said.

"I thought I did," Kairi said.

"How nice," Tracey said.

"What brings you here in Johto, Tracey?" Sora asked.

"I've been traveling around the world, observing Pokémon in their natural habitats. Seeing how Pokémon live out in the wild," Tracey explained. "Pokémon Watchers also has an act for discovering new species of Pokémon."

"Wow. That sounds like a cool career, Tracey," Sora said.

"It is when you put it that way, Sora. What about you two? I take it that one or both of you are partaking in the Johto Pokémon League," Tracey said.

"It's just Sora actually. Sora and I heading there to make a delivery of an important Pokéball to someone named Kurt who lives in Azalea Town," Kairi said.

"I'm also heading there to have a Gym battle since I won the Zephyr Badge from the Violet City Gym Leader," Sora said.

"I see. Sounds like you're on quite a mission," Tracey said.

"Yeah. Professor Oak asked me to do so as a favor," Sora said. Tracey was surprised when Sora mentioned Professor Oak.

"Are you telling me that you know the Professor Oak?! The same Professor Oak who is the leading authority in Pokémon research in Kanto?" Tracey asked.

"Um, yeah?" Sora responded.

"You are so lucky, Sora! I've been wanting to meet him for a very long time!" Tracey said.

"I guess his name can even make this guy come running faster than a Doduo in a marathon," Sora said in his thoughts.

A few seconds later, a couple of Trainers came in.

"Hey, did you hear that there's a Pokémon Hunter in the area?" One of the Trainers asked.

"Yeah. I heard this guy has a Muk with him to do all his dirty work," the other Trainer said.

"A Pokémon Hunter? Here?" Kairi asked.

"That can't be good," Sora said. The couple and the Pokémon Watcher walked up to the two Trainers. "Excuse us, but we couldn't but overhear about a Pokémon Hunter."

"Word has spread faster than I thought. Well, if you have to know, a Pokémon Hunter was in the area for a week and a half. Officer Jenny has been looking for the guy," the first Trainer said.

"You mentioned he has a Muk, didn't you?" Kairi asked.

"Yeah. That Muk is a real toughie. Your best bet is to avoid that guy altogether," the second Trainer said.

"We'll keep that in mind," Sora said. The two Trainers heads up to the counter to wait for Nurse Joy. "I might be guessing here, but what if that Pokémon Hunter might have something to do with our bouncing baby friend?"

"I would call it a very good guess, Sora. It is unusual to see a baby Kangaskhan without a parent. And it's common knowledge that the parents are very protective of their young," Tracey said.

"Well, I think we should try to find the baby's mom before that Hunter finds her," Kairi said.

"I agree, because Kangaskhan are rare Pokémon, and any rare Pokémon out on the loose can bring in a high price. It's just wrong that someone would just sell a Pokémon for money," Tracey said.

"Yeah. But I have a really bad feeling that we might bump into that guy whether we want to or not," Sora said.

Elsewhere, a Pokémon Hunter is driving in a jeep with his Muk in the front seat. Behind him is an adult Kangaskhan, but only without the baby.

"That little baby is out here somewhere. I can smell it," the Hunter said.

Back in the Pokémon Center, Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi approached Nurse Joy and her Blissey whom is carrying the baby Kangaskhan.

"Nuse Joy, how's the baby?" Kairi asked with concern.

"Physically there is no permanent damage, but I cannot say the same for her psyche. I'm afraid this little one has developed a fear of humans," Nurse Joy said.

"After what she's been through, I'm not surprised. Some punks gangs up on her and there's a Pokémon Hunter out there," Sora said.

"Speaking of which, do you know anything about it?" Tracey asked.

"Unfortunately I do. This Pokémon Hunter is named Reit, and he's been poaching Pokémon around here for the last week and a half," Nurse Joy said.

"And does he have a Muk with him by any chance?" Kairi asked.

"He does," Nurse Joy said.

"If I have to guess, this baby Kangaskhan had to been separated from her mother when the Hunter came and attacked. And she's been wondering around, lost and scared. Not knowing anything and then she ran into some Trainers, thinking it's an opportunity to catch a wild Pokémon, and that's when the three of us comes along," Tracey said.

"My, that's some brilliant detective work," Nurse Joy said.

"I'm amazed that you can let out so much without stopping to take a breath," Sora said. Tracey chuckled modestly.

"I just said what I was thinking," Tracey said.

"But it sounds right all the same," Kairi said. "We gotta find her mom because she's probably out looking for her right now."

"You're right. But I hope we don't get our hopes up for nothing just like with Stantler," Sora said.

"Pikachu," Pikachu agreed.

Kairi remembered the situation well, but Tracey was a bit confused by what he said.

"I hope you find her because Reit is someone you don't want to cross," Nurse Joy said.

"We'll be careful," Sora said. He said in his thoughts, "Famous last words."

A few minutes later, Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi left the Pokémon Center with the baby Kangaskhan. Sora and Kairi decided that it was best for Pokémon to tend to her since she's scared of humans. They started their search for the baby's mother.

"The family should be around here somewhere. Kangaskhan are found on grasslands," Tracey said.

"Just how are we going to find them, Tracey?" Kairi asked.

"With these," Tracey said, taking out two of his Pokéballs. The Pokéballs have let out a Venonat and a Marill. "Meet my partners, Venonat and Marill."

"A Venonat and a Marill, huh?" Sora asked.

"I get it. Venonat have incredible eyesight while Marill have incredible hearing," Kairi said.

"Eevee," Angel said.

"Exactly," Tracey said. He bends down to Venonat. "Pay attention, Venonat." He took out a statue of a Kangaskhan. "This is what we're looking for. A Kangaskhan."

"Venonat," Venonat said. He turned to Marill.

"Listen carefully, Marill," Tracey said, taking out his smartphone. He plays a sound of a Kangaskhan's roar.

"Kangaskhan! Kangaskhan! Kangaskhan!" The recording said.

"That's the sound of a Kangaskhan. You got it?" Tracey asked.

"Marill," Marill nodded.

"I thought you would," Tracey said.

With that said, Venonat went out to see if it can see, and Marill listens for any signs of the Parent Pokémon.

"Now what?" Sora asked.

"Now we wait," Tracey said. Marill's twitches for a bit and then points forward.

"Marill!" Marill said.

"There are Kangaskhan in that direction, Marill?" Tracey asked.

"Rill," Marill nodded.

"I knew you could do it!" Tracey said. Marill leads Tracey and the couple in the direction that Venonat has gone. They found Venonat standing in front of the shrubs as Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Togepi, Tracey, and the baby Kangaskhan have caught up. They spotted the adult Kangaskhan in a cage along. The baby tried to run out to her mother, but Angel took her and shook her head.

"That's gotta be the guy we were told about! Reit!" Sora said.

"I agree. There's no doubt in my mind he's the one," Tracey said.

"And no baby in the pouch. She's the baby's mom!" Kairi said. "So much for my thought."

"Either way, we can't let him get away with this," Sora said. Before Tracey could ask what he was doing, Sora and Kairi ran out to the hunter, searching for the baby. "Hey!" The Pokémon Hunter turned and saw them.

"What do you kids want?" The Hunter asked.

"We want you to let that Kangaskhan go right now!" Kairi said.

"No way! This Kangaskhan is going to make me a whole lot of money! And it's only going be worth the big money when I get the baby in my procession!" The Hunter said.

"I take it that you're Reit, aren't you?" Sora asked.

"That I am. And you two aren't going to stop me from getting my prize!" Reit said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Muk!" His Pokéball opened and Muk emerged from inside.

"Muk, Muk," Muk said. Sora and Kairi each took out a Pokéball and threw it.

"Go for it, Wooper!" Sora called out.

"Go! Sentret!" Kairi also called out. Wooper and Sentret both came out to battle.

"Muk! Crush those pipsqueaks with your Rock Tomb!" Reit ordered. Muk slams its hands on the ground, making giant pillars of rocks erupt from the ground. They head right for Wooper and Sentret.

"Wooper! Dodge and use Mud-Slap!" Sora ordered.

"Dodge with Quick Attack, Sentret!" Kairi ordered.

Wooper and Sentret dodges the rocks coming at them and lands a hit onto the Sludge Pokémon.

"Use Water Gun!" Sora ordered.

"Use Aqua Tail!" Kairi ordered.

Gligar spews water at Muk and Sentret lands a hit with Aqua Tail.

"Muk! Use Sludge Wave!" Reit ordered. Muk spews a wave of sludge at the couple's Pokémon, hitting them both. They both end up being poisoned.

"Sentret! No!" Kairi gasped.

"Wooper, you okay?" Sora asked.

"Use Venoshock!" Reit ordered. Muk fired spits multiple purple poison darts from its mouth at Wooper and Sentret. The attack deals some heavy damage due to their poisoning.

"Wooper!" Sora exclaimed.

"Sentret!" Kairi cried.

"You just got a taste of how I make my catch! Muk poisons my targets with Sludge Wave and then Venoshock doubles the damage!" Reit gloated.

"With a Poisoned status condition in effect, followed by Venoshock, it makes it easier to capture his targets," Tracey said. Sora and Kairi called back their Pokémon. They realized that not one of their Pokémon is immuned to poisoning.

"Give up? Well, that's what you get for sticking your noses where they didn't belong," Reit gloated.

"It'll take a whole lot more than that to make us quit, you coward!" Sora said. Reit growled, not liking Sora's tone.

"Coward?!" Reit roared.

"Yeah, you heard me!" Sora said.

"I'll have to teach you some manners, you little punk-ass runt!" Reit roared. "Muk! Use Sludge Wave on those kids!" Muk spews Sludge Wave at the couple, only to make them dodge. Tracey was amazed by how Kairi was able to cartwheel and Sora just dodged.

The baby Kangaskhan was scared, but Angel assured her it was okay. She looked at Kairi and she heads to the cage as Sora kept the hunter and Sludge Pokémon distracted. The adult sees Kairi standing in front of the cage. She summoned her Destiny's Embrace, but the adult Kangaskhan thought she was going to use it to hurt her.

"It's okay! I'm going to get you out," Kairi said. She aims her Keyblade at the keyhole and a beam of light shoots into the keyhole and unlocks it. The Parent Pokémon got out as Kairi dismissed her Keyblade and jumped out of the way. The Kangaskhan sets her attention onto Reit and roared in anger. Reit turned and saw the Parent Pokémon out of the cage.

"WHAT THE?! HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET OUT?!" Reit exclaimed. The Kangaskhan's turned red and ran towards Reit and Muk, giving them a thrashing they won't forget.

"She's using Outrage!" Kairi said.

"It works just like Thrash. Eventually, Kangaskhan will become confused," Tracey said.

"Let's calm her down," Kairi said, taking out a Pokéball and tossed it. "Go! Hoppip!" The Cottonweed Pokémon emerged from inside the Pokéball. "Use Sleep Powder!" Hoppip sprinkles blue powder at Kangaskhan, making her fall right to sleep.

"Good thinking, Kairi," Sora said.

"I just did what you would do," Kairi said. The baby Kangaskhan ran towards her mother. "It's okay. She's only sleeping." Reit makes an attempt to take the baby by force, but Tracey had his Venonat move in.

"Use Tackle!" Tracey ordered. Venonat tackles into Reit, knocking him out. "Use Confusion on Muk!" Venonat lifts the Sludge Pokémon in the air. "Got him for you."

"Thanks, Tracey," Sora said.

A few minutes later, Officer Jenny arrived and arrested Reit for his Pokémon poaching. Sora and Kairi healed up Wooper and Sentret from their poisoning.

"Thank you for stopping this Pokémon Hunter in his tracks. I'll see to it that he'll never breathe in the air of freedom again," Officer Jenny said.

"We're just glad we were at the right place at the right time," Kairi said.

"Couldn't agree more," Sora said.

Officer Jenny drove off with her prisoner. The adult woke up and looked at the baby looking back at her. The parent and child hugged each other.

"Look at that. They're back together again," Kairi said. Angel went up to the Kangaskhan as the baby climbed in her pouch.

"Sorry that we had to put you to sleep like that. We had to calm you down. The humans have been taking good care of your baby." - Angel subtitle. The adult Kangaskhan looked at the humans and right back at Angel.

"Thank you." - adult Kangaskhan subtitle. She walks off into the grasslands, but the baby waved to Angel for everything. Kairi picked up Angel and hugs her.

"You did a good job protecting her, Angel," Kairi said.

"Eevee," Angel said, licking her face. Kairi giggled from the licks.

"That tickles!" Kairi said as she giggled. Tracey just smiled. He was curious about his new friends.

Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi prepared to take off for Azalea Town, so they turned to Tracey.

"Now that the Pokémon Hunter is going to jail, where will you be going?" Sora asked. Tracey smiled.

"Wherever you are going. I have a feeling we may come across many kinds of Pokémon ahead of us. It just felt like something I should do. Also, I would like to meet Professor Oak as well," Tracey said. Sora and Kairi.

"Sure. We're happy to have you, Tracey," Sora said.

"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
