We all were with the Megaforce Power Rangers in Harwood County, Florida.
Maria: Here we are in Harwood County.
Troy Burrows: Home sweet home.
Me: I remember this city all too well. This was where you guys had all your adventures against the Armada and the Warstar.
Gia Moran: That's right.
Qin: I remember that. What the Warstar and Armada were doing was completely unforgivable.
Me: You got that right Qin. But it was so cool that the Megaforce Power Rangers teamed up with all of the Power Rangers from over the course of 20 years here in America.
Nico: That was awesome! I'll never forget that.
Vince: Me neither.
Troy Burrow: It was an awesome fight. But we brought you guys here to show you all something.
We went to the special command center that the Megaforce Rangers found and to our surprise we saw Gosei. He was a mask face on the wall.
Me: Whoa! It's Gosei.
Clawful: Are you Gosei?
Gosei: That's right. It's an honor and great pleasure to meet you all Team Loud Phoenix Storm.
Me: It's a pleasure to meet you as well Gosei. Troy and the Megaforce Rangers told us a lot about you and how you helped them against the Warstar and the Armada.
Gosei: I'm glad they did. Tommy Oliver and rangers of the past, it's a great pleasure to meet you.
Tommy Oliver: Same to you Gosei.
Kimberly Ann Hart: Are you related to Zordon?
Me: Actually Kim, from what I remember, Gosei was under the tutelage of Zordon. Zordon was his mentor.
Gosei: That is correct J.D.
Carter Grayson: That is amazing.
Andros: Gosei, I just want to say that I'm sorry for killing Zordon. But I had no other choice. He asked me to do it. I understand if you hate me for what I did.
Vortex: C'mon, Andros. Sometimes, we have to make the hardest of choices to save the world. I mean, just a few days ago, we had to kill Fartor.
Me: That's right. And there was no other choice. There was no other choice.
Gosei: That's right. Andros, I hold no grudge against you for doing what was right. You did it to save us all and for that I am grateful.
Andros: Thank you Gosei.
Me: We watched 44+ Years of Power Rangers, all from Japan and here in America and we are learning fast from all of their moves and abilities.
Gosei: I see. You have come far in your journey J.D. and you all have come a long way in your quest to defeat all evil.
Me: It's not gonna be that easy Gosei. But together, we can overcome any obstacle.
Laney: That's right.
Lana: Wow guys. Look at this.
Johnny Test: Man, look at all these Ranger Keys.
Me: It's 44+ Years of Power Ranger Powers.
Streetwise: Is that the Ranger Key for the Green Dragon Blitz Ranger?
Me: It sure is. From what I remember, the Green Dragon Blitz Ranger was not introduced into that group.
Gosei: That's right. That ranger power came from another universe where it existed.
Me: That's incredible!
Orion: So that's how I was able to get the Green Dragon Blitz Ranger power.
Gosei: That is correct.
Me: That's interesting.
Later we went to Ernie's Brainfreeze, a very popular juice bar that the Megaforce Power Rangers called their hangout spot.
Me: So this is Ernie's Brainfreeze.
Lana: I remember this place. The juice and smoothies looked really good.
Nico: They sure do.
Troy Burrows: It's where we all like to hang out from time to time.
Me: I remember that. Jayden, from what I remember you went here before as well.
Jayden Shiba: That's right. The juice and smoothies are tasty.
Lincoln: Lets try some.
We ordered a lot of smoothies and juice and they were delicious. I got a blue raspberry smoothie.
Me: (Slurps) Ahh. Really refreshing.
Lincoln had an orange creamsicle milkshake.
Lincoln: They are delicious.
Me: Yeah. James, how was your date with Seia?
James M.: We had a great time. Thank you for asking.
Me: No problem.
James M.: We watched the movie The King And I from the 1950's.
Me: That was a great movie back in 1956. One of my dads favorite shows from his past.
Laney: Mine too. It's a breathtaking broadway play.
James M.: Seia and I are now official.
Me: I'm happy for you guys.
James M.: Thanks man.
Me: No problem.
Back at the estate we were watching Lola play World of Warcraft: Wrath of The Lich King. She was facing the ruthless Lich King, Arthas Menethil. He was a terrifyingly dangerous and deadly foe.
As Lola played, Mizore Shirayuki and Qin looked up the history of Arthas Menethil and The Lich King.
Prince Arthas Menethil was born four years before the outbreak of the First War. King Terenas II and Queen Lianne were overjoyed and all of Lordaeron celebrated Arthas' birth.
At the tender age of nineteen, Arthas fulfilled his father's hopes by being inducted into the Knights of the Silver Hand; after which the paladin (and longtime friend) Uther the Lightbringer became Arthas' mentor.
Five years later, Arthas and sorceress Jaina Proudmoore (who Arthas has pined for since childhood) began investigating a deadly plague that was distributed as grain to the surrounding cities and towns. This grain would then be used to make bread. After consuming the plagued bread, the individual would eventually fall seriously ill and die. After death, they would be resurrected as minions of the undead Scourge.
Arthas and Jaina tracked and dispatched Kel'Thuzad, the necromancer who was orchestrating the plagued grain, in the Alliance city of Andorhal. Shortly after, the two learned that the city of Stratholme had already become infected. Arthas felt that the only way to ensure his people's safety was to execute all men, women, and children that resided in Stratholme, cutting off any chance for the undead to spread. After hearing of Arthas' impulsive plan, Uther voiced his feelings regarding the prince's plan, asking if Arthas had lost his mind. Arthas, blinded by pride, considered Uther's opposition an act of treason, and, by his rite of succession and the sovereignty of his crown, stripped Uther of all authority and suspended the paladins of the Order of the Silver Hand from service indefinitely. Uther warned Arthas that he was crossing a terrible threshold by putting this genocide into action. Arthas then turned to Jaina, who he was surprised to see walking with Uther, and asked her to partake. Filled with sadness, Jaina told Arthas that she couldn't watch him murder innocent people. After feeling as though two of his closest friends had abandoned him, Arthas lead a regiment of soldiers and mages into Strathholme to begin the slaughter. This event would come to be known as "The Culling of Stratholme".
Eventually Arthas came upon the dreadlord Mal'Ganis within Stratholme, who claimed ultimate responsibility for the plague. Eluding capture, Mal'Ganis challenged the prince to a final confrontation on the continent of Northrend, where he would meet his destiny. Arthas, burning with thoughts of revenge, vowed to end the dreadlord no matter where he may be. The prince set off for the arctic shores of Northrend.
After landing on Northrend's icy shores, Arthas encountered dwarves under attack by the Scourge. The dwarves' leader, Muradin Bronzebread, had been searching for the fabled runeblade known as Frostmourne. Muradin had known Arthas as a child, and watched him grow.
Meanwhile in Lordaeron, at Uther's urging, King Terenas sent word to Northrend for Arthas and the rest of his fleet to return to Lordaeron immediately. Arthas' soldiers gladly prepared to obey. Not to be undermined by Uther, Arthas refused to abandon the hunt for Mal'Ganis when his fleet has been recalled by the Emissary. Instead, the prince secretly hired mercenaries to sink his own ships. As the ships burned, Arthas publicly blamed the mercenaries for the fleet's destruction. Enraged, Arthas' soldiers killed the mercenaries, who ruined their chance of going home.
Now trapped in Northerend, Arthas and Muradin's forces struggled to hold off the Scourge onslaught. In the meantime, the pair tracked down Frostmourne, which was in a large cavern, encased in ice, and hovering over a pedestal. Muradin noticed an inscription on the pedestal, which warned that whoever wields Frostmourne will not only have unlimited power, but will also curse the wielder's soul. Muradin immediately disregarded any thoughts of using the runeblade as it was cursed, and advised Arthas that the two of them should just leave. Despite Muradin's warning, Arthas swore he would pay any cost for victory, and shattered the ice to free Frostmourne. One of the ice shards flew out and killed Muradin in the process. It would be revealed later that Muradin had, in fact, NOT been slain, but instead knocked unconscious for a while, as he aids in the charge on Icecrown Citadel years later.
With the power of Frostmourne, Arthas led his troops to victory against the Scourge. With victory in sight, Mal'Ganis appeared again to the prince. The dreadlord hadn't known that Arthas would know about Frostmourne, and by the time the realization of his master's betrayal set in, Frostmourne had already descended and ended his life. With total victory achieved, Arthas would then wander Northrend - becoming insane as the power of the cursed blade spoke to him within his mind.
Despite his actions, Arthas returned to Lordaeron a hero, and was welcomed home by his father in loving faith. Upon entering the throne room, he knelt before his father with the most vile intention in mind. After rising to his feet, he removed his hood and revealed his pale face and pure white hair to his shocked father. Within the blink of an eye, Arthas darted forward and forced his father to his knees, all the while his former captains (now Death Knights of Arthas'), Falric and Marwyn, killed the guards within the throne room. Confused and betrayed, King Terenas asked his son what this was all about. With a heartless and cold tone, Arthas whispered to a heartbroken Terenas: "...succeeding you...father.". Before Terenas could process his son's words, Arthas plunged Frostmourne into his father's chest, and claiming the king's soul. This marked the first soul ever to be taken by the sword. After murdering his father, Arthas and his Scourge minions ravaged Lordaeron and killed any living person in sight. After the destruction of his kingdom, he was then instructed to retrieve Kel'Thuzad's remains. After locating the remains, the former necromancer also communicated with Arthas telepathically. Acting as a sort of advisor, Kel'Thuzad instructed Arthas to locate a vessel in which they can put the remains so they are safe for transporting. With this, Arthas tracked down an urn suitable enough for the remains, only to discover that it was being used already. Uther was transporting the urn to be buried as it contained the ashes of King Terenas. Uther and Arthas exchanged heated words and, after tempers flared, exchanged blows. Arthas would eventually kill Uther, dump out the ashes of his father, and place Kel'Thuzad's remains into the phylactery. Knowing the remains wouldn't stay in tact much longer, Kel'Thuzad implored Arthas to prepare an invasion force and march on the only place the necromancer could be resurrected: the fabled Sunwell within Quel'Thalas - kingdom of the high elves.
The elves fought bravely against Arthas but were defeated - Arthas would kill and resurrect Ranger-General Sylvanas Windrunner into a banshee servant for her defiance.
With the help of his new servant Arthas captured the Sunwell and through its magic resurrected Kel'Thuzad as an undead lich - the demon lord Archimonde ordered Arthas to retrieve the spell book: the Book of Medivh.
Arthas invaded the city-state of Dalaran and retrieved the book, using it to summon Archimonde into the world of Azeroth.
However Arthas proved disloyal to Archimonde and helped seal his fate by having the demon-hunter Illidan Stormrage steal the Skull of Gul'dan, without this powerful artifact Archimonde was defeated.
However his victory was shortlived as the call of the Lich King soon saw Arthas return to Northrend - upon arriving he was attacked by elf survivors of the Scourge attack upon Quel'Thalas, now allied with Illidan Stormrage and seeking to destroy the Lich King.
With help from the evil Nerubian race, Arthas defeated the elves, but with Illidan's army already heading for the Icecrown Citadel, Arthas began to fear he would not reach the Lich King in time so opted for taking a shortcut through the ancient underground city of Azol-Nerub. The shortcut paid off and Arthas intercepted Illidan, defeating him in single combat and banishing him from Northrend - he then entered Icecrown Citadel and merged with the Lich King and take his place upon the Frozen Throne as the new king of all undead.
Plans
As the new Lich King, Arthas seeks to destroy all life on Azeroth and rule over a world of undead bound to his will (although a part of Arthas remains good and keeps that from happening), everything else is secondary to him though due to the grand-scale of his plan many smaller-scale plots and schemes are formed along the way - all of which ultimately link back to his main objective: ending life and enslaving the undead.
It must also be noted that Arthas now defeated Ner'zhul and what's left of his humanity on a dream like state when he was inactive...Making him the dominant spirit and having control of the new powerful entity...Therefore he is not a host of Ner'zhul anymore because he is the Lich king it self.
Awakening
The Lich King awoke and started to make his plans come true in person. He soon removed his heart, as he believed anything making him mortal made him weak. Then he went Sindragosa's Fall, and he thrust Frostmourne through the ice. It blew all the snow of the area, and from the ice emerged Sindragosa as the Queen of the Frost Wyrms. He then began his major attack on Azeroth by sending plagued grain to all of the capital cities of the main races of Azeroth. Those who ate it either became ghouls, zombie-like servants of the Lich King, or were cured before that happened. He then sent many of his Scourge minions into the cities of The Horde and The Alliance, which by then the leaders became enraged and sent heroes to Northrend.
The Scarlet Enclave and The Battle for Light's Hope
Soon the Lich King decided to send his new order of Death Knights against the Scarlet Enclave, the remaining forces of the Scarlet Crusade, which were a group of crazed paladins and priests who saw anyone who wasn't part of them to be evil and should be killed. Soon his new death knights had killed many of them and drove the remainder of them off. Those who survived went to Northrend to form the Scarlet Onslaught.
The Lich King soon turned his attention to the Argent Dawn, who resided in Light's Hope Church nearby. He sent his order of death knights to destroy them, led by the son of the Ashbringer Darion Mograine. The Ashbringer was a paladin by the name of Alexandros Mograine whom crafted a blade which could destroy unholy beings in the flash of an eye, which was also called The Ashbringer. His son Darion now wielded the blade in a corrupted state. When the death knights were sent to end the Argent Dawn, the death knights failed and were defeated by the Argent Dawn. There, a vision came of Darion and his dead father talking, as Darion watches. Soon the Lich King comes and shows all the death knights he used them to bring Tirion Fordring out of hiding, a great paladin. Darion comes to realise everything, who attacks the Lich King and obviously the Lich King easily swats him away. Darion throws the Ashbringer to Tirion, which is purified. Tirion attacks Arthas, whom retreats. The death knights there form the Knights of the Ebon Blade, and Tirion brings the Argent Dawn and the Knights of the Silver Hand to create the Argent Crusade. They both serve the purpose to kill the Lich King.
Angrathar the Wrathgate
The Alliance, led by Bolvar Fordragon, and the Horde, led by Saurfang the Younger, make a massive attack together on Angrathar the Wrathgate, a gate leading to the inside of Icecrown Citadel. The Alliance is the first to attack, and the Lich King sends out a number of undead to fight them. Then the Horde comes along and helps clear out the undead. After that Bolvar shouts, calling Arthas a traitor and ordering him to come out and fight them face to face. In reply, Arthas comes out, and summons a small number of undead while making a speech to the attackers. Saurfang then runs to attack the Lich King, but is easily slain. The Lich King then uses Frostmourne to consume Saurfang's soul. After, a loud boom is heard, and Grand Apothecary Putress and his undead are seen on a ledge above. He shouts, "Death to the Scourge, and death to the living!" as he unleashes the New Plague, which he created, upon the Scourge and Alliance and Horde alike. The undead walk away, as The Lich King walks back into Icecrown Citadel. Soon after the Red Dragonflight comes and bring down the flames of life. Bolvar is brought back to life, and is brought back into Icecrown Citadel along with Saurfang's body.
Small hint of humanity left
In the Halls of Reflection, Either Jaina or Sylvanas will attempt to communicate with the spirits in Frostmourne and the spirit of Uther comes out. He explains that the small piece of Arthas is all that keeps the Lich King from having the Scourge wipe out Azeroth and the only way to kill the Lich King is to fight him at the Frozen Throne. The Lich King arrives and sends Uther back into Frostmourne and some of his Scourge minions try and kill the party but his minions fall and he tries to kill them only for them to escape.
Siege on Icecrown Citadel
After Crusaders' Coliseum, the Knights of the Ebon Blade and the Argent Crusade came together to form the Ashen Verdict. They then began their Siege on Icecrown Ciadel. It was there, that the Lich King turned Saurfang into a death knight and was attempting to turn Bolvar. Finally, after the players faced the horrors of the Spire, the monstrousities of the Plagueworks, the Blood Princes and Queen of the Crimson Halls, and the dragons of the Frostwing Halls, the players faced Arthas Menethil, now the Lich King, himself. He freezes Tirion in a block of ice as he fights the champions.
After a long fight, the Lich King becomes fed up and kills all the players. He then reveals that the entire campaign in Northrend and the siege of icecrown citadel was all a trap. Arthas's real goal is to gain control of the Alliance and Hord's champions, and turn them into powerful undead champions who would then proceed to annihilate all life in Azeroth. All of his servants that the players destroyed were all tests to prove that they were indeed the greatest champions. The Lich King then raises Frostmourne and begins to turn them into Scourge.
But before he can finish, Tirion uses the power of the light to break free from the ice and jumps up and shatters Frostmourne with the Ashbringer. The spirits of Frostmourne are unleashed and swirl around him. His father, Terenas Menethil ll, resurrect the players to end it once and for all. The players finally defeat Arthas. He falls the Helm of Domination falls off of him head, and he reaches for it but falls.
Death of the Prince of Lordaeron
Arthas lays, Frostmourne shattered at his side. His father sits next to him, as Arthass' eyes turn to sea green from glowing blue, hinting he was finally free of the Lich King's influence. He asks if its over, almost glad to be free of the Lich King, and his father replies saying that no king rules forever. The prince proclaims that he sees only darkness before him, as his eyes roll backward, and dies in his fathers arms able to rest in peace. Terenas tells Tirion there must be a Lich King, and Tirion takes up the helm ready to become the Lich King. However, Bolvar is chained up on the Frozen Throne, burnt and somewhat undead. He asks Tirion to make him the Lich King, and Tirion finally agrees. Bolvar tells him to never let anyone know what happened there, only that the Lich King is dead and that he died with him. Tirion puts the Helm of Domination on Bolvar's head, as he becomes the new Lich King.
Lich King
The Lich King's only physical forms are a cursed suit of armor and a sword called Frostmourne, both of which are enchanted with the element of ice, and requires a mortal host to do its bidding, who becomes the Lich King when they put on the Helm of Domination. The Lich King is completely immortal and eternal, and when one host is killed a new one has to take their place, or else the Scourge will run completely rampant without a master and destroy all life on Azeroth. The Lich King rules from the "Frozen Throne" atop the Scourge's fortress of Icecrown Citadel in the frozen continent of Northrend, where he spends most of the time hibernating/doing nothing.
The original host used to create the Lich King was an Orc Shaman named Ner'zhul, but the individual best known for filling the role was Arthas, who became corrupted by the Scourge and coerced by the Lich King's spirit to come to the Frozen Throne and put on the Helm of Domination, turning him into the new Lich King. The form and personality of Arthas would become dominant over that of Ner'zhul.
After that, the Lich King went into hibernation atop his throne again for several years, before finally returning to wreak havoc on Azeroth with a newly revitalized Scourge army in Wrath of the Lich King. At the start of the expansion, the Lich King is at the necropolis of Archerus: The Ebon Hold in the Eastern Plaguelands, training a group of death knights who eventually break away from the Scourge and join the side of good, being the Death Knights controlled by player characters. During the campaign against the Scourge in Northrend, the Alliance and Horde simultaneously launch a massive attack on the Wrathgate in Dragonblight leading into Icecrown in an attempt to assault the citadel, where after defeating all the monsters outside the Alliance general Bolvar Fordragon called out for Arthas to show himself and answer for his crimes, which he did, but the confrontation was interrupted and turned to disaster when a group of rogue Forsaken led by Grand Apothecary Putress arrived and launched barrels of poison gas on everyone, killing all the Alliance and Horde soldiers (including Bolvar and the Horde hero Dranosh Saurfang) and forcing the Lich King to retreat further into Icecrown.
Eventually, the heroes finally secured a position to launch a final attack on the Lich King in Icecrown Citadel. The first battle took place in the Halls of Reflection, where Frostmourne is kept, in which the Lich King appeared and tried to stop them from escaping by summoning groups of Scourge and ice walls, but the adventurers survived the encounter with the help of Sylvanas Windrunner/Jaina Proudmoore (depending on the player's faction of choice) and the convenient arrival of an airship to save them. A much larger and stronger group of heroes later fought the Lich King for the final time on his Frozen Throne on top of the Citadel, where they were aided by Highlord Tirion Fordring of the Argent Crusade.
After a considerable period of fighting, the Lich King finally unleashed the full power of Frostmourne, killing everyone. Luckily, Tirion Fordring jumps in at the last minute and saves the day by breaking Frostmourne with his holy sword of the Ashbringer. This frees all the souls of the Lich King's victims that were trapped inside, including Arthas' father Terenas Menethil, who used the power of their spirits to revive the group and overwhelm the Lich King, allowing them to finish him off. The Helm of Domination fell from Arthas' head, allowing him to finally die. However, there was now the matter of finding a new host to sate the spirit of the Lich King and prevent the Scourge from destroying the world; this burden was taken up by Bolvar Fordragon, now an undead being who had been imprisoned by the Lich King, who donned the helmet and encased himself in ice upon the Frozen Throne, pacifying the Scourge.
Qin gasped in horror.
Mizore: I know. I can't believe that Arthas is that evil. He did all kinds of terrible things to the entirety of Azeroth.
Qin: And he killed his own father in cold blood.
Nico: Arthas is the worst monster in the history of the universe.
Mizore: That sword Frostmourne is a dangerous sword.
Nico: It is. It's a cursed sword that turns anyone evil.
Mizore looked up the history of Frostmourne.
Origin
When Ner'zhul was transformed into the Lich King by Kil'jaeden, his disembodied spirit was shackled to a magical suit of armor as well as the runeblade, Frostmourne. Trapped within an icy tomb called the Frozen Throne, both the armor and the blade were crafted by the Nathrezim for the purpose of containing and controlling the Lich King.
Ner'zhul's Plan to Escape
Ner'zhul was not content with being a pawn for the Burning Legion, and began working on a plan for escape. The first stage of his plan was set in motion when he used his powers to push Frostmourne through the ice and out of the Frozen Throne, plunging it into the snows of Northrend to await one who would claim it and become the Lich King's agent. Ner'zhul found his agent in Arthas Menethil, the young prince of Lordaeron who had come to Northrend in a quest to end the plague.
Muradin Bronzebeard, a dwarven explorer based at the time in Northrend, was searching for the weapon after hearing of Frostmourne's power when Arthas and his men arrived. When the forces of the dreadlord Mal'Ganis began to close in around them, Arthas and Muradin set out to claim it.
Deep within a hidden cave, Frostmourne was protected by The Guardian and several revenants who tried to forewarn Arthas of the danger, but he ignored the warning and destroyed them. When they found the sword, Muradin read the inscription on the dais:
"Whomsoever takes up this blade shall wield power eternal. Just as the blade rends flesh, so must power scar the spirit."
Muradin realized then that the blade was cursed, but Arthas said he would gladly bear any curse to save his homeland. Upon speaking those words, the ice encasing the sword shattered and exploded outward. A jagged shard struck Muradin, seemingly striking him dead. Arthas gazed upon Muradin's "corpse", discarded his hammer, [Light's Vengeance]
In the Hands of Arthas
With the sword in hand, Arthas returned to his base and staged a counterattack against Mal'Ganis, quickly destroying the dreadlord's base. Mal'Ganis confronted Arthas, telling him that Ner'zhul had known he would take the cursed sword, and that it had now stolen Arthas's soul. He spoke as if he believed Arthas was now on his side, but to his surprise Arthas used the runeblade to slay the dreadlord on the Lich King's command. With his soul forfeited to the Lich King, Arthas ran off into the frozen wastes of Northrend.
Now a death knight of the Scourge, Arthas killed and converted his former army before returning to Lordaeron, where he was hailed with a royal welcome. Arthas proceeded directly to the throne room, where he killed his father, King Terenas, and set the Scourge loose throughout the city.
Some time after the Burning Legion's defeat at Mount Hyjal, the demon hunter Illidan Stormrage used a powerful spell to attack the Frozen Throne, where the Lich King was imprisoned. Though the spell was unsuccessful, it widened the crack through which Frostmourne had been thrust, and the Lich King's power began to wane, so he recalled Arthas to Northrend to aid him. Arthas defeated Illidan and ascended the spire of the Frozen Throne, then plunged Frostmourne back into the ice and donned the helmet sealed within, becoming the new Lich King.
World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King
The Frozen Halls
Just after he is defeated in the Pit of Saron, the leper gnome Krick lets it slip that Arthas leaves Frostmourne unattended in the Halls of Reflection, his private sanctum in the Frozen Halls of Icecrown Citadel.
After surviving the Pit of Saron, the guides for the adventurers braving the Halls (Jaina Proudmoore for the Alliance or Sylvanas Windrunner for the Horde) lead the way into the Halls of Reflection. As Krick promised, Frostmourne stands alone, floating serenely above an altar in the center of the entry chamber. Jaina or Sylvanas attempt to commune with the souls trapped within the blade to find the key to the Lich King's weakness. They are contacted by the spirit of Uther the Lightbringer, who warns them that another must take the Lich King's place in order to keep the Scourge under control.
Fall of the Lich King
During the final battle against the Lich King at the Frozen Throne, Frostmourne was shattered by Ashbringer, wielded by Tirion Fordring. The thousands of souls trapped within the blade swarmed the Lich King, suspending him in the air, where he was finished off by the champions assembled to defeat him. The trapped souls then remained in Icecrown Citadel, locked in eternal torment, unable to escape.
On the Dedication of Honor monument at the center of Runeweaver Square in Dalaran, a bust of the shattered hilt of Frostmourne is shown at the feet of the statue of Tirion Fordring. The current location of Frostmourne's remains are resting at the base of the Frozen Throne within Icecrown Citadel.
Curse
Frostmourne has the ability to drain life from its victims — and to drain the soul of anyone whom it connects to. The Lich King is capable of seeing through the eyes and hearing through the ears of anyone who wields Frostmourne; this ability cannot be stopped by any mortal means. The Lich King can communicate with the wielder at will telepathically, on any plane and at any distance. The Lich King uses this ability to try and corrupt the wielder over time. This has several effects. An individual who wields Frostmourne will not part with it willingly. Over time the person will go from good to neutral and finally to evil. A non-undead evil wielder will then become undead. Finally the sword is able to suck the being's soul into the sword. Frostmourne then retains the memories and skills of its victim. In fact, as long as the wielder's original body remains within one mile of Frostmourne, the sword maintains control of the body, and he may not be completely aware that his consciousness has shifted to the weapon. Beyond one mile, the sword cannot control the wielder's body, and the wielder of course finally becomes quite aware of his current state (if he is not already).
The Lich King can take possession of a soulless body that comes in contact with him and Frostmourne at the same time. The soul within Frostmourne is destroyed unless it willingly merges with the Lich King, becoming lost as a separate entity for all eternity. If a soul merges with the Lich King, he gains all the skills and memories of the victim. He has only done this one time, with Prince Arthas Menethil.
Powers
In Warcraft III
In Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, Frostmourne increased Arthas' base damage by 22 points and allowed him to deal chaos damage, which was fully effective against all types of armor (including that of buildings and divine beings). For balance reasons, this effect was only applied during the Frostmourne mission and not during the Path of the Damned or Legacy of the Damned campaigns.
In Warcraft RPG
In Manual of Monsters, Frostmourne is an artifact-level bastard sword with the following abilities: an increased chance to hit, increased damage, an increased chance of scoring a critical hit, an increased attack speed, the ability to strike incorporeal creatures as though they were fully corporeal, the ability to cause bleeding wounds and reduce the victim's stamina, bonus damage against good-aligned beings, bonus damage against living beings, and a life-draining effect that heals its wielder when he deals damage.
In Arthas: Rise of the Lich King
In Arthas: Rise of the Lich King, Arthas is able to wield the runeblade almost effortlessly, despite its size and weight. It slices through most opponents with minimal resistance, and shatters most weapons it comes in contact with, including the elven runeblade Felo'melorn. Those slain by Frostmourne have their souls drawn into the weapon.
Mizore: Wow. That sword is dangerous. But I can use Snow Woman magic to destroy its evil curse and free the souls it has imprisoned and use it for capturing evil souls.
Nicole: That's a great idea Mizore. That sword is like the Book of Vile Darkness in Sword Form.
Mizore: Exactly.
We saw Lola destroy the Lich King and she beat him. We cheered for her!
Me: Way to go Lola!
Kayla: She did a great job.
Me: She sure did. But that is horrible what Arthas was doing. Wouldn't it be awesome if we could go to Azaroth for real and destroy the Lich King forever?
Nico: That would be an awesome adventure.
Me: Lets do it! Lisa, deploy the U.S.S. Valorous Phoenix.
Lisa: Affirmative.
We boarded the ship and we were off to the planet Azeroth.
In the Icecrown Citadel in the frozen wasteland of Northrend on the planet Azeroth, Arthas the Lich King was heading to the room where the sword Frostmourne was on a pedestal. He walked up to the sword and it was glowing a malevolent aqua blue. Inside the sword were the souls of thousands of slain people.
The soul of Arthas's father King Terenas spoke to him.
Terenas: Can you feel it my son? Closing in all around you. The light's justice has been awakened. The sins of the past have finally caught up to you. You will be called to account for all the atrocities you've committed, the unspeakable horrors you've let loose upon this world, and the dark ancient powers you've enslaved. Though my soul was one of the first to be devoured by your evil, there are thousands more bound within this blade and they cry out for release. Look now to your defenses my son, for the champions of justice gather at your gates and a much more powerful force is now on its way here even as we speak!
Arthas picked up the sword and the souls vanished and he was ready to fight!
Arthas: Let them come. Frostmourne hungers.
The Lich King was ready for a fight.
Out in space, the U.S.S. Valorous Phoenix was flying to Azeroth.
Me: Captain's Log, Stardate 2765.2: The U.S.S. Valorous Phoenix is en route to the planet Azeroth, a wartorn planet where all kinds of awesome creatures from legend and folklore battle for peace and protection. Our mission is to hunt down the ruthless Lich King, Arthas Menethil and destroy his evil reign of terror before he destroys everything in Azeroth.
William: I can't believe we're visiting the World of Warcraft.
Nico: The Lich King is not gonna be easy guys. He easily overwhelmed the Champions of The Light without so much as breaking a sweat.
Me: I remember that. But he also has a massive army of minions at his command. They are called the Scourge.
Vince: The forces of the undead.
Gia Moran: This is gonna be rough.
Troy: Let's use our Basic Megaforce powers to take out the minions.
Robo Knight: Let me help out with that.
Me: Good idea guys.
Lily: This is gonna be one dangerous fight.
Nico: It sure is.
Lisa: We have arrived at our destination.
Me: On screen.
We have arrived at the planet Azeroth. It was an amazing planet.
Me: Wow!
Laney: There it is. Azeroth. It's beautiful.
Me: Lets land.
We landed the ship on the forests of the continent of Northrend. It was a strange place.
Me: Here we are guys. The continent of Northrend.
Lola: Wow! It's breathtaking.
Nico: It sure is.
?: You are the famous Team Loud Phoenix Storm.
We turned and we saw a beautiful woman with beautiful blonde hair and she had blue eyes and beautiful clothes and an awesome mage staff.
Lola: Wow! You're Jaina Proudmoore.
Jaina: That's right. It's a pleasure to meet you all. We heard so much about you.
Me: It's mutual. We came here to kill Arthas, the Lich King.
Jaina: I had a feeling you came here for that. The man that I once called my love is gone for good. The man that is now in his place is a monster that must be destroyed.
Me: We all will destroy him.
Lola: I remember where Icecrown Citadel is located.
Me: We'll follow you Lola since you know this world.
Lola: Okay. Follow me!
We followed Lola and we were off to the Icecrown Citadel. We saw the entire land completely decimated by the forces of the Lich King and thousands of dead bodies littered the ground.
Me: This is terrible.
Lucy Loud: Arthas has turned into a Genocidal Monster bent on destroying all of Azeroth.
Lynn: When we find him, he will pay the ultimate price.
Me: He sure will. What Arthas did to this whole planet is completely unforgivable.
Lori: He will literally pay for his crimes in blood.
Nico: No lie Lori.
Lola: There! Up ahead is Icecrown Citadel.
Me: That's it all right. Lets power up!
We transformed and powered up.
Troy: Let's use our Basic Megaforce powers to take out the minions.
Robo Knight: Let me help out with that!
Megaforce Rangers: GO GO MEGAFORCE!
The Megaforce Power Rangers transformed. Troy Burrows was in his Basic Megaforce Red Ranger form, Noah Carver was in is Basic Megaforce Blue Ranger form, Jake Halling was in his Basic Megaforce Black Ranger Form, Gia Moran was in her Basic Megaforce Yellow Ranger form, and Emma Goodall was in her basic Megaforce Pink Ranger form. Orion stayed in his Super Megaforce Silver Ranger Form.
We landed at Icecrown Citadel and we saw Tirian Fordring and the Champions of the Light. They were trying to bust down the gates.
Me: Let us help you!
I fired a powerful energy blast and blew the doors down.
Fordring: Thank you. Team Loud Phoenix Storm. It's an honor to meet you all.
Me: Same to you Tirian. Lets work together to take down the Lich King. Arthas will pay for his crimes.
Fordring: Lets do it.
We shook hands and we charged into the castle. We were fighting the Scourge and they were powerful. But we slashed and killed them all. Mizore fired powerful shards of ice at them and killed them and Lucy Loud slashed them with Nizogamourne and damned them with black fire. Troy Burrows slashed a bunch of Scourge with his Dragon Sword, Emma Goodall blasted a bunch of them with her Phoenix Shot, Jake Halling chopped a bunch of Scourge with his Snake Axe, Gia Moran slashed a bunch of Scourge with her Tiger Claw, Noah Carver blasted a bunch of Scourge with his Shark Bow, Robo Knight fired his Vulcan Cannon and blasted a bunch of Scourge apart and Orion slashed and stabbed a bunch of Scourge with his Super Silver Spear. We blasted them all with fire and elemental energy blasts and more and we were killing them all one by one and destroyed them all. Now we have the Lich King left to face.
Me: Now we have Arthas to face and he will pay.
We climbed up to the top of the Frozen Throne.
Fordring: The Lich King must answer for what he has done and must not be allowed to cause further destruction in our world.
Me: We'll all make him pay for his crimes. So many have suffered because of him. In my opinion Hell is too good for him.
Nicole: The Book of Vile Darkness is also too merciful for him.
Me: The River of Fire is more appropriate.
We got to the top and we saw Arthas the Lich King in person.
Me: Arthas the Lich King!
Lich King: So the mighty Team Loud Phoenix Storm has come.
Nico: You will pay for your crimes Arthas!
Me: Words cannot even begin to describe the savage onslaught of pain, death and destruction you and your minions have caused!
Fordring: That's right! I swore that I would see you dead and the Scourge dismantled! I'm going to finish what I started at Light's Hope!
Lich King: So the Lights Vaulted Justice has finally arrived. And Team Loud Phoenix Storm is with you. Shall I lay down Frostmourne and throw myself at your mercy?
Me: We don't show mercy to monsters like you Arthas.
Fordring: We'll grant you a swift death Arthas. More than can be said for the thousands you've tortured and slain.
Nico: We won't show any mercy on you Arthas. We're gonna make sure that your death is slow and excruciatingly painful when we kill you.
Lich King: You will learn of that firsthand. When my work is complete, you will beg for mercy and I will deny. Your anguished cries will be testament to my unbridled power.
Me: We'll see about that you cold-hearted fuckhead!
Fordring: So be it. Champions...
Me: And Team Loud Phoenix Storm...
Me and Fordring: ATTACK!
(Requiem for A Dream plays)
Megaforce Rangers: Legendary Ranger Mode: Nova Flashteam!
The Megaforce Rangers turned into the Japanese Rangers, the Supernova Flashmen. Troy Burrows was the Red Nova Ranger, Noah Carver was the Blue Nova Ranger, Jake Halling was the Green Nova Ranger, Gia Moran was the Yellow Nova Ranger, Emma Goodall was the Pink Nova Ranger and Orion was the newest sixth ranger of the Nova Flashmen: The Gold Nova Star Ranger. He was armed with Gold Prism Power that can fire powerful rainbow lasers that can cause an incredible amount of damage.
We went at the Lich King and I punched him in the face and kicked him in the stomach. Lola fired a powerful blast of fire and burned him and she thawed out some of his ice. Laney formed powerful mace clubs of bramble vines and smashed them onto Arthas. Nico fired powerful energy blasts and they all hit Arthas and exploded with incredible power. Lincoln fired powerful blasts of lightning and electrocuted him all over. Linka fired a powerful blast of lightning as well and it electrocuted him. Yuko Tani fired a powerful blast of fire and burned him, Aylene C. fired a massive blast of fire and burned him, Luan fired a massive blast of light and Luna and Lori fired powerful blasts of wind and water and they slammed into Arthas with devastating force and sent him crashing into the wall of ice. I fired a powerful blast of fire and energy and it hit Arthas and exploded. The Champions of the Light fired a massive and savage onslaught of powerful elemental attacks and magic and it was a powerful and relentless onslaught. Lisa fired powerful laser blasts at Arthas and Lincoln and I fired powerful blasts of Force Lightning and we electrocuted him. Troy Burrows hit Arthas with his Red Prism Sword and slashed him all over, Jake Halling punched Arthas all over with his Prism Fists and they slammed into him with devastating force, Noah Carver slammed into Arthas with his prism ball by bouncing on him with incredible force, Gia Moran used her Prism Batons and smashed them into him, Emma Goodall threw powerful Prism Hearts and they hit Arthas and exploded all over him, Orion used his new Prism Wrist Blasters and fired powerful rainbow laser blasts at Arthas and they hit him and exploded. Jaina fired a powerful blast of magic energy from her staff and the blasts hit Arthas and burned him all over. Lucy then unsheathed Nizogamourne and she clashed violently with Arthas. It was a powerful clash and the force of their swords was so strong and so powerful that it shook all of Azeroth all over. Massive explosions of ice and black fire were going all over the place.
Lucy Loud: You're through hurting people!
Lucy kicked him in the face and sent him into the wall. Unknown to Arthas, Mizore used a powerful magic spell on Frostmourne and it made an exact copy of the sword but without the evil influencing and corrupting powers and it retained all of its powers. We stopped.
Arthas was standing ready.
Me: It's over Arthas.
Lich King: No questions remain unanswered. No doubts linger. You ARE the entire universes greatest champions. You all have overcame every challenge I laid before you. My mightiest servants have fallen before your relentless onslaught... your unbridled fury. Is it truly righteousness that drives you? I wonder. You trained them well Fordring and you too J.D. Knudson. You delivered the greatest fighting force this universe has ever known... right into my hands! Exactly as I intended! You both shall be rewarded for your unwitting sacrifice. You will watch as I raise all of your friends and teammates from the dead to become masters of the Scourge. They will soon shroud this world in chaos and destruction, Azeroth's fall will come at their hands. And you all will be the first to die. (Laughs evilly) I delight in the irony.
Me: No fucking way in Hell will we allow that to happen!
Fordring: Light, grant me one final blessing. Give me the strength to end this monster.
Just as Arthas was about to lift up Frostmourne to do what he was going to do, Fordring jumped and shattered his Frostmourne with his sword, the Ashbringer and Frostmourne was shattered into a thousand pieces and the curse that bound all the souls inside it was broken!
Lich King: Impossible!
Fordring: No more Arthas! No more lives will be consumed by your hatred!
King Terenas was freed.
Terenas: Free! At last. It is over my son. This is the moment of reckoning.
Me: Lets hit this fuckpot with everything we got!
Nico: Right! Arthas the Lich King you have failed this Universe!
Fordring: THE LICH KING...
Me: MUST...
Me and Fordring: FALL!
We then started hitting the Arthas with everything we got and went into combos.
Nico: Troy, lets use our combos with your Nova Flash powers.

THE END
Another Fanfiction Complete and a powerful foe beaten.
World of Warcraft: Wrath of The Lich King was a very interesting expansion of the World of Warcraft computer games. I never played World of Warcraft. It was too darn complicated for me. But what Arthas did was completely unforgivable. NicoChan11 gave me the ideas for this. Thanks man. Let me know what you all think. Next up is the Loud House Episode Recipe For Disaster. I'm gonna work on that one after I get back from hanging out with my friends tomorrow afternoon.
See you all next time.
