Episode 106: The Charicific Valley
A couple of hours have passed since Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi left the nearby city right after foiling the latest Team Rocket scheme. Just when they sat down and took a break, they were all greeted by a familiar face.
"I finally caught up to you at last," Liza said.
"Hey, Liza. What brings you here?" Sora asked.
"I was actually looking for you. With all the excitement, I never got the chance to thank you for helping me and Charla," Liza said.
"Well, you're welcome, Liza," Kairi said.
"We were happy to help out," Tracey said.
"But there is a reason I was looking for you three. I wanted you to come with me to the Charicific Valley," Liza said. Sora, Kairi, and Tracey were surprised by this.
"You sure, Liza?" Sora asked.
"It's off limits to tourists, but since you're just traveling, I could show you around the Charicific Valley," Liza said.
"You sure, Liza?" Kairi asked.
"I'm sure. After all, after what you did, I trust you one hundred percent.
"We appreciate it, Liza," Kairi said.
"I'll have to admit, I have always been very curious about the Charicific Valley. And I would like to get some sketches," Tracey said.
"Looks like Tracey's on board, and so are we," Sora said.
"I thought as much," Liza said. "How about you bring out your Charizard and we can get started."
"Bring out my Charizard?" Sora asked.
"Of course. We're going to fly there," Liza said.
"I thought you'd say that," Sora said. He took out Charizard's Pokéball and opened it. Charizard came right out. "Hey, Charizard. Wondering if you're willing to give us a lift." Charizard looked at him with a puzzled look. "That's right. You can carry me, Kairi, and Tracey to the Charicific Valley and check out the other Charizard there." Charizard nodded. He had Sora and Kairi on his back with Pikachu and Angel on their shoulders. Kairi held onto Sora's waist as Togepi is riding in Kairi's backpack. Charizard took Tracey in his arms since he could only carry two people at a time on his back.
"Hang on tight, Angel," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"You hang on, too, Angel," Kairi said.
"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped.
"Okay, Charizard! Ready when you are!" Sora said. The Flame Pokémon started to take off and followed Liza and Charla to the Charicific Valley. They weren't aware of the Pokémon Hunter right beneath them. He had a Golem, a Blastoise, and a Rhydon with him. He chuckled.
"The Charicific Valley. After all these years, my search is nearly to an end. Charizard bigger than normal should be worth a shit-load of cash! Now all we gotta do is follow them through the canyon, right guys?" The Pokémon Hunter asked. All of his Pokémon agreed with him. He called them back inside and started to follow them.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket spots them flying.
"We got us some high-flying twerps right above us," James said.
"From I heard, they're currently on their way to the Charicific Valley. Home of giant-sized Charizard, just waiting to be poached by us," Jessie said.
"And with all of those Charizard, we can make Team Rocket the top of the food chain," Meowth said.
"If Team Rocket was big before, then Team Rocket's gonna get a whole lot bigger," Jessie said.
"Bigger and badder than ever. The bigger, the badder, the better," James said.
"Now to get to activate the robot and we can get to work!" Jessie said.
"Yeah!" James and Meowth said.
Team Rocket got inside of a giant robot, shaped like a bug catcher. They drive off to the Charicific Valley.
"Giant Charizard, here we come!" Jessie sang.
"Goodbye, debts," James said.
"And goodbye, Persian," Meowth said.
Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Pikachu, Angel, Togepi, and Charizard have arrived to the Charicific Valley right after Liza and Charla have. It is distinguishable by its rock formation in the shape of a giant Charizard.
"Here at last," Liza said. She opened the gates and the trio were awestruck by what they saw. There were Charizard alright. They were the same size of Charla.
"The Charicific Valley. I have been dreaming of this moment for so long," Tracey said. "I have got to get a sketch of this." He took out his sketchbook.
"Your friend is an enthusiastic one," Liza said, chuckling.
"He loves his work," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Are all these Charizard wild?" Kairi asked.
"They are. Charla's the only one that's mine. I had her even since she was just a baby Charmander," Liza said.
"You must feel at home here since there's a Charizard everywhere you look," Sora said. Sora's Charizard felt so small compared to all of the others. "Is there something special about this place, Liza?"
"Actually, there is, Sora. The story I'm about to tell you dates back to thousands of years ago. My ancestors have come across a group of wild Charizard training and sparring with one another. It was an astounding sight to be seen. They saw that the Charizard here never relied on humans to train them. The training have gone really intesne. My ancestors then decided to make this a sanctuary for any Charizard to train, thusly calling it the Charicific Valley. Ever since then, my family's been the guardians of the Charicific Valley," Liza said.
"That's an amazing story," Tracey said.
"It really is," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"It sure is," Sora said. He looked around and saw the some of the wild Charizard sparring each other. "I wonder if Ash would bring his Charizard here?"
"Is Ash a friend of yours?" Liza asked.
"Yeah. He's been a good friend of mine since we were little kids," Sora said. He found it funny that he brougt him up when he last saw him in the realm of darkness. "His first Pokémon was a Charmander when we all became Pokémon Trainers on the same day. And the same day Kairi and I met. As did Pikachu and Angel."
"Pika," Pikachu said, blushing.
"Eevee," Angel said, also blushing. Sora's Charizard rolled his eyes.
"Uh-oh, here they go again." - Sora's Charizard subtitle.
"Again?" - Charla subtitle.
"They're pretty lovey-dovey just like Sora and Kairi are. It actually started when I was just a Charmander." - Sora's Charizard subtitle.
"How did it go down?" - Charla subtitle. She gets all giddy. Charizard whispered into Charla's "ear" and smiled widely. "You are so lucky to have a Trainer like Sora." - Charla subtitle. Charizard blushed in embarrassment.
"Can just about any Charizard train here?" Kairi asked.
"Not really. Charizard are welcome here, but I just won't put up with any misbehavior or aggression," Liza said.
Over to Team Rocket, they made their way to the Charicific Valley at last.
"There it is! The Charicific Valley! The home of king-sized Charizard," James said.
"We are going to bag a Charizard for each one of us," Jessie said.
"Why just stop at one Charizard when we can steal at least a hundred Charizard? Why stop at a hundred when we can bag over a thousand Charizard!" Meowth said.
"For a change, you have a brilliant idea, Meowth! Those Charizard will make Team Rocket the most powerful criminal organization in the world!" Jessie said.
The Pokémon Hunter arrived at last and he saw the rock motion and knew he was right where he wanted to be.
"At last! The Charicific Valley is right in my sights! Blastoise, Golem, and Rhydon will be ready to party when we get there," the Pokémon Hunter said. He started to make his way to the Charicific Valley when he saw Team Rocket rushing. "Hey, what do you think you're doing?"
"We should ask you the same thing!" Meowth said.
"Back off! All those Charizard all have my name on them!" The Pokémon Hunter said.
"Why don't you back off? We have plans with those Charizard!" James said.
"Just do you think you are?" The Pokémon Hunter asked.
"Prepare for trouble, you just to ask!" Jessie said.
"Make it double, stealing Pokémon is our task!" James said.
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all peoples within our nation!"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!"
"Surrender now or prepare to fight!"
"Meowth! That's right!"
"Mime, Mime!"
"Team Rocket? You mean you're with those has-beens?" The Pokémon Hunter asked. Team Rocket growled in anger
"Has-beens?! How dare you!" Jessie hissed.
"Who do you think you are for disrespecting Team Rocket?!" James asked.
"Just someone who heard that Team Rocket were being beaten by some kids. It's rather pathetic if you ask me," the Pokémon Hunter said. Team Rocket growled, offended by the insult he gave Team Rocket. "Also, they have to be desperate for a reputation boost if they're sending in you clowns."
"Oh yeah? We'll show you!" James exclaimed, taking out a Pokéball.
"You're going to wish you didn't say those words once we get done with you!" Jessie said, taking out a Pokéball as well. "Arbok! I choose you!"
"I choose you, Weezing!" James called out. Arbok and Weezing emerged from inside their Pokéballs and got ready to battle. The Pokémon Hunter took out his Pokéballs and threw them.
"Blastoise, Golem, Rhydon! Go!" The Pokémon Hunter called out.
"Arbok! Use Poison Sting!" Jessie ordered. Arbok fired Poison Sting at the hunter's Pokémon.
"Weezing! Use Sludge Bomb!" James ordered. Weezing fired Sludge Bomb at the hunter's Pokémon.
"Blastoise, Rhydon, Golem! Use Hyper Beam!" The Pokémon Hunter ordered. Blastoise, Golem, and Rhydon fired Hyper Beam right at Team Rocket's Pokémon and hits Team Rocket as well. An explosion occurs.
Inside the Charicific Valley, Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Liza, and the Pokémon all felt the ground shake.
"What was that?" Tracey asked.
"Someone must have found us!" Liza said.
"We gotta see who it is!" Sora said.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu agreed.
"Right," Kairi also agreed.
"Eevee," Angel said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Liza, and the Pokémon all rushed to the gates to see what was going on.
Back to the battle, Team Rocket goes flying in the air.
"TEAM ROCKET'S BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Team Rocket exclaimed as they go flying in the air. A star twinkles in the distance. The Pokémon Hunter smirked as he laughed.
"Now to get to work," the Pokémon Hunter said.
"Not so fast!" A female voice spoke, getting his attention. He turned to see the caretaker of the Charicific Valley and her Charizard above him. He also saw Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Pikachu, Angel, Charizard, and Togepi with her. "Just what do you think you're doing? And why are you here?"
"I'm a Pokémon Hunter. And I heard there is a valley of large Charizard in this area, and I plan on capturing all of the Charizard here, and I'm not going leaving until I get them all," the Pokémon Hunter said.
"That's what you think!" Sora said. Liza placed her hand in front of Sora.
"I appreciate your assistance, but I have to deal with this, because it's my responsibility," Liza said. Sora had to agree with her. "Listen, the Charicific Valley is sacred ground. You are trespassing. This is your chance to turn back where you come from and never return."
"I just told you that I'm not leaving! So just make it easy for yourself and step aside," the Pokémon Hunter said.
"I cannot do that," Liza said.
"Then I'll have to do it the hard way. I can get started by getting that one!" The Pokémon Hunter said, pointing at Charla. "Blastoise! Use Hydro Pump! Golem! Use Rock Blast! Rhydon! Use Rock Slide!" Blastoise fired Hydro Pump as Golem fired Rock Blast, and Rhydon fired Rock Slide.
"Dodge it, Charla!" Liza called out. Charla dodges their attacks. "Use Dragon Claw on that Blastoise!" Charla comes flying at Blastoise and slashes at it with Dragon Claw.
"Rhydon! Use Horn Drill!" The Pokémon Hunter ordered. Rhydon came charging at Charla with its horn spinning like a drill.
"Dodge it and use Blast Burn!" Liza ordered. Charla flew up in the air. She forms a big ball of red-orange fire in front of her mouth, and then she launches a giant red-orange flame from it at the opposing Pokémon. The attack does some serious damage to them. They were still standing from that assault.
"Wow, that was awesome," Sora said.
"Maybe, but Blast Burn is a risky move," Tracey said.
"Risky?" Sora asked.
"Blast Burn works like Hyper Beam and Giga Impact. After the uses Blast Burn, the attacking Pokémon won't be able to attack again right away," Tracey said.
"I see what you mean," Sora said.
"Blastoise, Golem, Rhydon! Use Hyper Beam!" The Pokémon Hunter ordered. His three Pokémon fired three Hyper Beams right at Charla. Liza gasped.
"Charla!" Liza exclaimed. Charizard flew and pushes Charla out of the way. He takes the hit for her.
"Charizard!" Sora exclaimed. He rushed over to the Flame Pokémon.
"Bah! That worthless Charizard got in the way," the Pokémon Hunter said. Sora didn't like how he just disrespected his Charizard.
"Who are you calling worthless?" Sora asked.
"That Charizard isn't even worth any money at all! A Charizard in its regular size is just a waste of my time," the Pokémon Hunter said.
"My Charizard doesn't have to be bigger than normal to worth anything! He's worth a whole lot more than money!" Sora said.
"That's telling him, Sora," Kairi said.
"Stupid kid! Nothing is worth more than money! Use Hyper Beam, all of you!" The Pokémon Hunter ordered.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Charizard flew and dodges their Hyper Beams. "Use Wing Attack on Blastoise!" Charizard flew at Blastoise with Wing Attack. "Use Dragon Claw on Golem!" Charizard slashes at the Megaton Pokémon with Dragon Claw.
"Don't let that runt show you up like that! Rhydon! Use Horn Drill!" The Pokémon Hunter ordered. Rhydon started to run towards Charizard.
"Dodge and use Fire Fang!" Sora ordered. Charizard lands a fiery bite onto Rhydon, but it flinches.
"What are you scared of, Rhydon?!" The Pokémon Hunter asked.
"Use Dragon Claw!" Sora ordered. Charizard slashes at Rhydon with Dragon Claw.
"Golem! Use Rollout!" The Pokémon Hunter ordered. Golem rolls right at Charizard.
"Dodge and use Flamethrower!" Sora ordered. Charizard dodges and fired Flamethrower, engulfing Golem into flames. Its whole body turned red. "Use Dragon Claw!" Charizard slashed at Golem with Dragon Claw, sending Golem rolling as a ball of fire. Golem rolls right into the water and steam seeps from the water after Golem makes a splash. He growled in frustration as Golem emerged from the water. He called Golem back inside. Liza was impressed by how Sora has handled his Charizard.
"Amazing. For a human-trained Charizard, Sora's Charizard is stronger than I thought he looked. He's fighting hard even after taking three Hyper Beams at once," Liza said in her thoughts.
"Blastoise! Rhydon! Hyper Beam!" The Pokémon Hunter ordered. Blastoise and Rhydon fired Hyper Beam at Charizard again, but he dodges. Charla joins right in alongside Charizard.
"Sora, I suggest we put an end to this together," Liza said.
"On it," Sora said. "Charizard! Flamethrower!"
"Charla! Use Flamethrower as well!" Liza ordered.
Both Charizard fired Flamethrower and they engulfed their opponents in searing hot flames. They were taking too much heat than they could handle.
"Dragon Claw!" Sora and Liza ordered. Both Charizard came flying at their opponents. Charizard, slashed Rhydon while Charla slashed Blastoise. Both Pokémon were taken down. The Pokémon Hunter growled in anger.
"Why you little-!" The Pokémon Hunter growled.
"You lost, hunter," Liza said.
"I don't think so!" The Pokémon Hunter exclaimed, taking out his net gun, but Charizard used Dragon Claw to destroy it. A net wraps itself around the hunter.
"Good work, Charizard," Sora said.
After dealing with the Pokémon Hunter, Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Liza, and the Pokémon stepped back inside the valley. The Pokémon Hunter has been taken into custody by Officer Jenny, after he was taken far enough from the Charicific Valley.
"I gotta say, I was impressed by the way you handled your Charizard, Sora. You're an excellent Pokémon Trainer," Liza said.
"Yeah. It was a good thing that my Charizard just swooped in like that," Sora said.
"I agree. Charla was in a real bind," Liza said. "I trust you'll be continuing your journey, right?" Liza asked.
"Yeah. We have to go see Kurt and give him the GS Ball," Sora said.
"He could have the information neither Professor Oak or Professor Ivy could give," Kairi said.
"And I just want to say, it was a thrill to see the Charicific Valley with my own eyes," Tracey said.
"I wish you three good luck on your way," Liza said.
"Thanks," Sora, Kairi, and Tracey said as they got started. "See ya!"
"Good luck," Liza said, waving goodbye to them.
Sora, Kairi, and Tracey decided to keep the location of the Charicific Valley a secret since there would be someone else who would try to catch them. The journey to Azalea Town continues as well their adventure.
