Pokémon: Sinnoh no Isekai
Chapter One-hundred and eighty-eight: Master Rank Mania (part two)
Serena was nervous as she geared up for round two. For the second round, Serena and the other Performers were informed that they could use different Pokémon. Serena, wanting to take advantage of this, decided to go with her Sylveon; normally, Serena would have chosen Pancham, but one of the opponents Serena had in her round two bracket was May, Ash's former traveling companion from the Hoenn region. May had cleared round rather one easily, using a shiny Furfrou she was borrowing from her younger brother Max. For round two, May was going to be using the shiny Mightyena that she was also borrowing from Max.
A fresh shiny Pokémon that had never seen the Showcase stage beforehand was bound to wow the audience, with the wow factor it comes with by simply being a shiny Pokémon helping to shore up any difference. Serena and Sylveon had to pull out all the stops if they were to have any chance at beating May and the Mightyena that she was using, thus letting Serena advance to the semi-finals and have an even greater shot at reaching the finals, where she would get to challenge Aria, the current Kalos Queen of Pokémon Showcases, for her title. Serena was so close, she wasn't going to be giving up. Not by a long shot.
It was both lucky and nerve wracking for Serena that her round two bracket was first. It was lucky in the sense that she'd get to show her stuff right away, and nerve wracking in the sense that May was actually the first in the bracket to go. Not only was May able to score a whole lot of wow factor simply by calling out a never before seen shiny Pokémon, but May's performing was still pretty damn good, a testament to how well all of her experiences from the Pokémon Contests of Hoenn (as well as all of the other locations that had such events) translates over to the Pokémon Showcases scene.
Serena strongly suspected that May, even if she weren't using shinies, would be one of her most challenging rivals here in the Master Class Showcase, even more so than the recently eliminated Ochaco, the fossil Pokémon researcher girl who came in with nothing but shiny Pokémon. The second girl in Serena's and May's bracket went next, using a Mismagius, and although her performance was good no doubt about that, May easily had her beat with just her raw skill and talent; May's performing with Mightyena will easily net her victory over the Mismagius girl, even if Mightyena wasn't a shiny.
After the Mismagius girl had gone, Serena and Sylveon went next. Together, the two of them gave it their all in their most amazing, elaborate performance to date. They hit every step perfectly, moved both in rhythm and in synch with one another. By the time that their performance was finished, the audience went wild with cheers, as if Serena's and Sylveon's borderline mad performing had helped to make up the difference for them over how they were facing an opponent in their bracket who was using a shiny Pokémon. After Serena and Sylveon had given it their all, the audience was prompted to vote for their favorite Performers.
Surprisingly, another tie ended up happening, this time between Serena and May. As such, the decision ended up being left to the hands of Palermo and the rest of the judge panel. It was Palermo who announced that it would be Serena who would move onto the semi-finals, drawing an elated and surprised expression out of Serena. May, although she did have a hint of disappointment in being eliminated in her expression, was still overall supportive of Serena. She would not allow herself any bitter feelings as she applauded Serena for the round two win, being one of the first persons to applaud Serena.
...
The other round two brackets went by in a blur, mostly due to how Serena's the only person left in the Master Class Showcase that the heroes cared about. Additionally, according to Dawn, from what she could tell about the Performers that Serena would have to contend with in the semi-finals, neither of them had what it took to stand up to Serena. By the estimation of the Sinnoh Champion, Serena was guaranteed to be the one who would earn the right to challenge Aria for her title of Kalos Queen. The other heroes, as well as Grace and Johanna who were there, all congratulated Serena for making it past round two.
"This is amazing, Serena!" Ash said, "You're one step closer to being able to challenge Aria for her title!"
Dawn nodded in agreement. "What's really surprising what that you were able to triumph over May. As good as you are, May does have a lot more experience in areas like this than you do. That being said, you being able to trump May is a sign that you totally have what it takes to reach the finals."
As the heroes and two moms continued to congratulate Serena for making it past round two, their attention was caught when they heard Grand Duchess Sabine call out, "Grace, I hope you're proud of your daughter there! She has proven to be an amazing talent!" The heroes and two moms turned to see Sabine come walking up, her two daughters Sarah and Maaya following along behind her, and the half a dozen servants flanking them, three to a side. "I'm looking forward to seeing how she performs in the semi-finals," Sabine said, "I even heard that there's lesser members of the Kalosian nobility who've made wagers on the outcomes of the rounds in the Master Class Showcase, and your daughter winning threw a lot of those lesser nobles for a loop."
"Wait a minute," Grace said, "There's gambling on the rounds of the Showcase?"
Sarah, with a bemused look on her face, folded her arms over her chest. "And I lost a fair amount because your brat just had to go and beat the girls who were using shiny Pokémon that, by right, should have won. I'm of a right mind to charge your daughter for how much I lost to compensate, you know!"
"Sarah, you will be doing no such thing," Sabine said firmly, "And If I find out you went behind my back and tried to coerce money out of Grace's daughter, so help me I will see to canceling your arranged marriage!"
"Yeah, I have to agree with your mom," Kenny said to Sarah, an unamused look on her face, "Trying to make Serena pay you for how much you lost betting against her is totally not cool."
Sarah was forced to back off from threatening Serena, bringing a measure of relief to Serena herself. Sabine wished Serena luck in the semi-finals before taking off with her daughters and troop of servants. After the Grand Duchess was gone, the heroes and two moms turned to look at one another. "Man, what a piece of work!" Ash said, "Just who does she think she is, threatening Serena like that? Why, I'd be liable to challenge her if she did try to bully Serena like that!"
Grace nodded in approval to the boy from Pallet Town, Kanto. "Well I'm glad to see that you have my daughter's back on this, young man," Grace said, "Seriously, it'd be like if Sabine's oldest daughter tried harassing Johanna's daughter."
"If Duchess Sarah did try to harass me unprovoked," Dawn began, "She'd risk an inter-regional incident between Kalos and Sinnoh. This is especially so given that I'm the Champion of Sinnoh."
"Oh yeah," Clemont said, "The threat of an inter-regional incident would be bound to make Duchess Sarah zip it, especially since I bet Sarah's mother would by no means be amused that it'd be Sarah's fault that Sinnoh is angry towards Kalos."
The heroes would have gone on, but they were cut off when, surprisingly enough, Aria the Kalos Queen came walking up to them. "Good job on your round two win!" Aria said to Serena, "The others you'll be facing in the semi-finals are gonna be pulling out all the stops to win so they can try to challenge me, so you had better bring your A-game if you want to reach me!"
"Aria?" Serena said, "What are you doing here?"
Shrugging, Aria said, "Wishing you luck. I'm going around to wish all of the girls who made it to the semi-finals luck in their efforts, as a show of good sportsmanship. I'm betting that regardless of who wins, I'll be pressed hard to defend my title. That being said, I AM looking forward to the challenge."
Gesturing to Aria, Trip said, "Considering the fact that Serena had triumphed against two persons who were using shiny Pokémon while not having the same or a similar advantage herself, you'll be hard pressed to defend your title should Serena make it to you."
Aria nodded in understanding. "Yes, that is a testament to Serena's skill as a Performer. Although it helps that Palermo told me she's thankful Serena scored ties in both occasions, allowing her to lead the rest of the judges in voting against the girls using shiny Pokémon."
"Palermo led the other judges in voting against Ochaco and May?" Bonnie asked, looking surprised. Similarly, the rest of the heroes looked surprised, as did both Grace and Johanna.
"Oh yeah," Aria said, "I know this because Palermo is actually my mentor in Pokémon Showcases, and she told me in private. She really doesn't like it that Performers using shiny Pokémon have a very high tendency to win, as it's clear the wow factor of using shiny Pokémon pads things out. Palermo views the use of shiny Pokémon in Showcases as a blatant attempt on part of the offending Performer to score cheap, easy wins that don't require respectable amounts of actual skill, talent, and practice."
Serena nodded once in understanding. "You don't say."
"I do say," Aria replied, "Also, Palermo also actually rather amazed that you used a pair of legendary Pokémon in the Champion's Favor Pokémon Showcase. She's not sure how to feel about the use of Pokémon thought to exist only in lore in Showcases because that was literally the first time in Kalos Showcase history that it's ever been done period, but regardless Palermo says she understands that you were simply desperate enough to use Zapdos and Moltres like you did, although in Palermo's own words you could have easily won without using those legendary Pokémon."
Folding her arms over her chest, Dawn pointed out, "Maybe. Keep in mind, the person who won that Showcase was determined by a vote taken solely by the regional Champions who were invited to watch as VIPs, with the audience vote being a popular vote that would net a consolation prize. I'm not so certain if Serena would have impressed the other Champions enough if she used Braixen and Pancham instead of Zapdos and Moltres." Arching a wry eyebrow at Aria, Dawn went on, "There's a good reason why it was called the Champion's Favor Pokémon Showcase."
Aria nodded in acknowledgement to the point Dawn had made. "Fair enough." To Serena, Aria said, "Anyway, I gotta go find the last semi-finalist so I can wish her luck. You and your opponents all better give it your all in the semi-finals, especially as each of you will be using two Pokémon." Aria then took off, leaving the heroes and two moms alone with one another.
"Aria's got a point, Serena," Ash spoke up, "You got a lot on your plate to deal with if you wanna reach the finals where you can challenge Aria for her title." Giving Serena a confident smile, Ash went on, "But don't worry, you got this."
Serena, although blushing, nodded once in thanks to Ash. "Thanks, Ash," Serena replied, "And don't you worry, I'm going to give the semi-finals everything I've got!"
As the others cheered for Serena, Grace looked on silently, but with an amused look on her face that radiated a strong feeling of pride. Grace did not expect her daughter to have gotten this far, thought that Serena would be the snappy girl she was when she woke up the day that news report from Lumiose City concerning that rampaging Garchomp, the kind of girl who tended to give up when things got too tough. But here Serena is now, having stuck with her guns and as such had made it all the way to the highest level of performance in the Kalos Pokémon Showcase scene.
Grace, for a moment, wondered who this girl was and what had she done with Serena. But it was her daughter, just having grown up is all. Grace had all the faith in the world in Serena and her ability to perform with the best of them in the Master Class Showcase. Grace could very easily see Serena making it all the way to the title performance against Aria, and giving a performance that, even if it doesn't beat Aria, will leave the Kalos Queen shaken by how close of a call she had. Serena was all grown up now, and Grace knew that she would do her proud, no matter the outcome.
This was Serena's day, and by no means could anything ruin it.
Meanwhile, at an undisclosed location in Gloire City, Boss's Assistant Ayane was getting ready for her part in the attack that Team Scorn would be carrying out on the city as a whole. She was reviewing the grunts available for the job, saw that Admin Hero was able to assemble even his Third, Second, and First Captains, Jun, Erik, and Xander. Their respective Captain's Assistants all stood with them. The total number of personnel available would ensure that Gloire City would not get out of the attack with minor scratches at most.
...No, the sting will be a big stronger than that.
As Ayane and Hero conversed with the Captains and their Captain's Assistants, Asami, the Admin's Assistant who served under Hero, came running up to Hero. "Admin Hero, the Fourth Captain says everything's in place inside to ensure the target you're personally interested in will be saved for you to deal with," Asami said.
Hero nodded in thanks to the young girl who assisted him, the girl who was like a kid sister or even a daughter to him. "Thanks for letting me know," Hero replied.
"Also," Asami said as she turned to face Ayane, "This may be of interest to you Boss's Assistant Ayane, although I'm not quite sure how you'll take the news."
Ayane's eyes narrowed out of suspicion. "...What did you learn?"
"The Fourth Captain was able to confirm that the judge panel for the Master Class Showcase really WAS acting with bias against shiny Pokémon users coloring their decision making," Asami replied, looking worried.
Ayane scoffed bitterly. "I knew it," Ayane said, "I friggin' knew it. The judges were biased against me. I swear I'll-"
"Boss's Assistant Ayane." Being cut off when she heard Erik speak up, Ayane turned to look at the Second Captain of Team Scorn's Shield Sector. "If I may be so bold as to offer a plan to get revenge for the bias of the judges," Erik said.
Ayane's interest was piqued by the idea that Erik had a plan. "...Tell me after the attack," Ayane said, "For now, we need to get ready to carry out the attack on Gloire City. Even I have to get ready as I have a part to do."
Hero nodded in understanding. "Yes, you plan to have Reshiram attack the castle that the Master Class Showcase is taking place in. I believe that you intend to fire the attack right as the final round against Kalos Queen Aria starts up, and that said attack on the castle will be the signal that will let all Team Scorn members in Gloire City know that it'll be the moment they begin to carry out the attack."
"And the special agent you managed to get to help out," Ayane began, "Is he ready to do his part?"
"Yes," Hero replied, "He'll be with the men at the vacation home that Grand Duchess Sabine keeps here in Gloire City. I have no doubt that the Grand Duchess and her daughters will retreat to the safety of their vacation home when the attack starts." Smirking darkly in amusement, Hero went on, "And that's exactly what will help me with the personal goal I have for the attack here on Gloire City. We'll be taking out multiple Pidgeys with one rock."
Ayane nodded once before got ready to get into position to have Reshiram cast a Fusion Flare attack at the Gloire City Showcase Hall. Ayane would be accompanied by First Captain Xander, his Captain's Assistant Rina, and half a dozen rank and file Grunts for protection. Hero asked that Ayane also take Asami with her on the basis that she's the one maintaining contact with the Fourth Captain, who will send word to Asami when the final round of the Master Class Showcase will kick off. Additionally, being with Ayane's group will offer a greater degree of protection to Asami.
Also helping is that Asami once she gives word to Ayane that the attack can begin will be able to right away get out of there and fall back to the secret base that's being maintained for Team Scorn's efforts in Gloire City. This will further reduce the chances that Asami will get caught at best, hurt at worst; neither are outcomes that Hero would ever wish upon Asami. With all of the prep work taken care of, Team Scorn all got into position, at which point all they would have to do is wait for the signal that will kick off their attack on Gloire City.
An attack that will be carved into the history of the Kalos region forever.
To Serena's elation, she won the semi-final round, using Braixen and Sylveon to beat a girl with a Butterfree and a Beedrill and another girl with... a pair of Bidoof (both with the male specific gender difference), surprisingly enough. This meant that Serena made it to the final round, where she would be able to challenge Aria for her title of Kalos Queen. Should Serena win, she'll be made the new Kalos Queen, as Aria will be forced to give her title up to Serena in that event. Serena was especially nervous now, more than she had ever been before.
...But luckily for Serena, she had the support of many friends, her mom, and the mom of two of the aforementioned friends. "You got this, Serena," Ash said as he and the others were reassuring Serena, "You've overcome a lot of fierce competition, enough so that even Aria will be pressured to outdo you."
Dawn nodded in agreement; her memories of the XY anime from her previous life were a bit fuzzy, but she did remember that Serena in the anime wasn't able to beat Aria, who ended up retaining her title. But things here had ended up being vastly different; Serena had even been able to trump May, who respectfully had a hell of a lot more experience in comparable fields than Serena does. And May had been careful, not falling into any of the traps other Performers had fallen into. If Serena was able to trump May there regardless, then her odds of actually beating Aria were looking a lot better than they would normally be otherwise.
As the other heroes and two moms talked, they were met up by a mildly worried looking Ideku. "Oh, you're still here to watch the Master Class Showcase?" Kenny said, "Weird. I'd figured that you would have left once Ochaco was eliminated."
"Well the Master Class Showcase IS a once a year performance," Ideku said, "I wouldn't wanna miss it unless something dire enough comes up." Folding his arms over his chest, Ideku went on, "I'm still worried about Ochaco, though. She was really hoping to win, especially as she was planning to use the fame she'd net for winning in order to try drawing more attention and support for study and research into Pokémon revived from fossils."
"Yeah, that Palermo lady wasn't fond of how Ochaco was spamming shiny Pokémon," Bonnie spoke up, "She thinks that it's a form of cheating, and was glad that she was in a position to eliminate Ochaco from the Master Class Showcase."
Ideku immediately turned his attention to Bonnie. "...You're saying one of the judges," Ideku began as he addressed Bonnie, "And the lead one who was brought in as a guest judge no less, acted with bias against Ochaco?"
Shrugging, Bonnie went on, "She was biased against Ash's friend May as well. She was able to lead the other judges in voting against them, Aria told us so. Also, Aria told us that Palermo is her mentor in Pokémon Showcases."
Ideku had a very unamused look of consideration on his face as he processed what he just learned from Bonnie. "...This changes a lot," Ideku remarked, "We need to bring this to the attention of persons who can do something about it."
Dawn could tell that Ideku was now very much upset that his girlfriend was eliminated from the Master Class Showcase, not because of the fact in and of itself that Ochaco was eliminated, but because he discovered that Ochaco's elimination was due to the judges acting with bias against Ochaco. Dawn hadn't seen Ideku so upset since he was still dealing with reporting Unovan gym leader Skyla for her unprofessional behavior and attitude. But then again, this was a case of professionals, folks who are supposed to uphold a certain level of integrity, not acting with said integrity that's expected of them.
Still, Ideku had some degree of being reasonable. "...We can tackle this after the Master Class Showcase," Ideku said, "Let things happen as they should so that the people who came to watch can enjoy the show they were hoping for. But afterwards, this WILL be making the news mark my words. I will not stand for unprofessional attitudes coming from persons of authority letting bias and unfavorable other things go unchecked. People in said positions HAVE TO be held accountable for what all actions that they take. Letting said persons in positions of authority do as they please without consequence will lead to corruption, and that is not something that I'm willing to stand for!"
"I..." Trip began, "...Just hope it doesn't lead to something too extreme happening."
"A reform that clears out corruption and holds people in authority to the standard that they ought to be held to will be sufficient," Ideku replied, "I'm not asking for something as extreme as the complete shutdown of the Pokémon Showcase circuit, mind you." The others were all worried about what might end up happening if Ideku does push here, but they couldn't honestly blame him for feeling how he did about persons in positions of power and authority showing signs of corruption, such as how Palermo and the other judges had acted in bias against shiny Pokémon users.
That unpleasant stuff could be handled later, however. For now, Serena had to go get ready to compete in the final round against Aria. This is where Serena will put all of her efforts up until now on the line, where she will have to give it her all like never before, as she competes to try and take the title of Kalos Queen for herself. Serena does not intend to go down without a fight, and she will make even Aria sweat. The final round of the Master Class Showcase, which will determine if there will be a new Kalos Queen or if the current holder will retain her title, will be one for the history books.
...But not in a way that anyone would be expecting.
Later, everyone was back in the theater, the audience all seated, and Serena and Aria on stage as Pierre announced the beginning of the final round of the Master Class Showcase. In the final round, both competing girls were allowed to use their respective full allotments of Pokémon; Braixen, Pancham, and Sylveon for Serena, and Delphox, Aromatisse, and Vivillon for Aria. After the Performers and their respective Pokémon were all introduced, Pierre announced the beginning of the final round, and as the title challenger Serena would go first.
Serena took a calming breath to steady herself as the audeicne cheered for the beginning of the final round. Once she steadied herself, Serena said, "Alright, let's do this! Braixen use Flamethrower, Pancham use Dark Pulse, Sylveon use Swift! Have all of your attacks collide into one another to-"
*BOOM*
*THOOM*
*RUMBLE*
Serena was cut off when she and everyone else heard a loud crashing sound coming from somewhere around the Gloire City Showcase Hall. As the audience began to cry out in panic, another set of those sounds went out. "What in the name of Artemis is going on?!" Kenny exclaimed in a panic as people began to rise from their seats to flee, "It's like this castle is under attack from enemy forces!"
Dawn couldn't blame Kenny for saying something like that; the Showcase Castle did indeed seem like it was under attack. As Dawn and the other heroes got up along with Grace, Johanna, and Ideku, someone working at the Showcase Hall came running in, then got up on stage to face everyone in the audience. "Gloire City is under attack from Team Scorn!" the Showcase hall worker cried out, "They even have this giant white dragon Pokémon with blue eyes casting gigantic spheres of fire right at the Castle here! Two castle towers-"
*BOOM*
*THOOM*
*RUMBLE*
"...Make that THREE castle towers have already been destroyed!"
Up in the audience, Kenny said, "Holy geez! Team Scorn's got the Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"
"That's one name for Reshiram, I suppose," Dawn said, "It is a white dragon with blue eyes. And it's attack where it conjures and casts giant spheres of fire is bound to be its Fusion Flare attack."
Ideku looked around as people were fleeing from the audience in mass panic. "...Ayane is here..."
"We need to get out of here!" Bonnie cried out in panic, already crying out of fear.
"We need to get Serena first!" Ash said, "I refuse to leave a friend behind when villains are attacking!" Before anyone else could stop him, Ash called out his Charizard, hopped on, and flew right to the stage. He picked up Serena who recalled all of her Pokémon already, Aria was already collected by Pierre, and flew back to meet the others. With Serena in tow, the heroes plus the two moms and Ideku were able to run out of the theater and into a main lobby area.
Once outside, Kenny said, "Okay, so Team Scorn is launching an attack on Gloire City, even going so far as to see Ayane use Reshiram to directly attack the Gloire City Showcase hall."
"We did get it that Team Scorn would be making bets on the Master Class Showcase," Trip pointed out, "Maybe they're upset that the Performer they were betting on didn't make it to the final round against Aria?'
Dawn was about to speak up, but she was cut off when a bunch of Team Scorn grunts flooded into the Showcase Hall. What's worse is that they spotted Grand Duchess Sabine and her daughters and made a mad dash for the nobles. "Someone go fight off the Grunts going after Sabine and her daughters!" Dawn said, "Preferably-"
"I'll do it!" Kenny declared as he rushed in to go fight off the grunts, even calling out Black in the process as there was enough room inside to allow for the legendary Pokémon Giratina to come out and do battle.
As Kenny fought off the grunts threatening Sabine and her daughters, Dawn let out a gentle but mildly exasperated sigh. "...I was going to say preferably Ash as I'm going to want both Trip AND Kenny to help me track down Ayane so we can confront her and her Reshiram, but I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised that Kenny jumped the gun here and challenged those Grunts." Looking to her adopted brother, Dawn said, "Trip, can you help me track down Ayane? It'll be easier to defeat her if we have both Tsukune and Deelia gang up on Reshiram. I'm even going to have Tobias get in on it."
Nodding once, Trip said, "Got it! We'll make Ayane think twice before she next-" Trip suddenly stopped short. "...Wait," Trip said, "I... I actually wanna stay here and help protect the people here from Team Scorn."
"Trip, sweetie, your sister has a point," Johanna began in an understanding tone, "You two have some of the very few Pokémon capable of dealing with something as powerful and dangerous as that Reshiram thing. What could be more important to you than stopping Reshiram?"
"Protecting you!"
Johanna, as well as everyone else, were taken by surprise with what Trip exclaimed. "I already lost one mom!" Trip said, "I refuse to lose another! That's why I wanna stay back here and protect you! I don't want to lose everything a second time!"
As the others looked on at Trip who was clearly still hurting over what happened in his old hometown back in Unova, the heroes and others were met up by May and Max who came running over to them. "Can you seriously believe it that Team Scorn's attacking Gloire City?!" May exclaimed, "Makes me wanna-"
"May, Max, good timing," Dawn said, "I need you May to come with me and Ash, we're going to go confront the girl who's having Reshiram cast Fusion Flares at the Showcase Hall here!" To Clemont, Dawn said, "Clemont, you keep an eye on Max for May. Make sure Max as well as Bonnie don't get into any dangerous scrapes!"
"Got it!" Clemont said, going along with the flow without even realizing how well Dawn was taking command here. With everyone else given their roles, the heroes began to help fight off the Team Scorn attack on Gloire City. This saw Dawn, Ash, and May run out of the Showcase Hall, Dawn and Ash call out Tsukune and Charizard, then Dawn and May got onto Tsukune and Ash got onto Charizard before they flew up into the air. Dawn saw trails of smoke across the sky going from the Showcase Hall to another point on Dawn's far right.
Figuring that was where Ayane and Reshiram were at, Dawn had Tsukune soar off in that direction, with Ash on Charizard following her and May.
END, CHAPTER ONE-HUNDRED AND EIGHTY-EIGHT
Author's notes;
This chapter sees Serena win her way all the way to the final round of the Master Class Showcase in Gloire City, although it's revealed it's partly due to luck in Serena scoring ties that allowed Palermo to lead the other judges in voting in favor of Serena due to a bias she (Palermo) has against Performers using shiny Pokémon. Ideku when he learns of this due to Bonnie blabing about it is not amused as he sees it as the height of unprofessional-ism, and he fully intends to do something about it after the Master Class Showcase comes to a close.
But that goes out the window when Team Scorn carries out their attack on Gloire City. The heroes are able to get May to help with fighting back, and Dawn takes May plus Ash to go confront Ayane where she's at with Reshiram who's firing Fusion Flares at the Showcase Hall. The other heroes will be doing their part as they join what all efforts are made to repel the Team Scorn attack from Gloire City; Kenny even will be confronting a (few) certain someone(s) over at the vacation home that Sabine has in Gloire City. The siege will continue into the next chapter, so until then take care.
