Episode 109: Foul Weather Friends
A few days passed since Chikorita turned over a new leaf. Chikorita has been getting along better with the other Pokémon, especially Pikachu and Azurill. But Chikorita still nuzzled Sora whenever he let her out of her Pokéball.
Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi have come across a nest of Poliwag at a pond. Tracey gets a sketch of the Tadpole Pokémon.
"Oh, look at how cute they are," Kairi said.
"Reminds me of Poliwrath and Politoed when they were both Poliwag," Sora said. He remembered the day when they each caught a Poliwag. After evolving, Kairi had placed a King's Rock on hers and he evolved into a Politoed while Sora's became a Poliwrath.
"There, done," Tracey said, finishing his sketch," Tracey said, holding the sketch for the couple to see.
"Wow, your sketches gets more and more amazing, Tracey," Kairi said.
"Well, what do you expect, Kairi? He caught the moment just perfectly," Sora said. "Just where do we go from here to reach Azalea Town?" Sora asked. Kairi checked her PokéGear and brought up the map.
"It looks like we're going to have to go through the Union Cave in order to reach Azalea Town by foot," Kairi said.
"The Union Cave is home to not only to Rock and Ground-type Pokémon like Onix and Geodude, but it is also home to some ponds that flow from the outside," Tracey said.
"Well, if the Union Cave is where we shall go, then that's where we shall go," Sora said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi continued on when they have come across what looks like an old statue of Mateus. Sora instantly recognized it.
"What in the world is that thing?" Tracey asked.
"I don't seem to know," Kairi said.
"I do," Sora said. Kairi and Tracey looked at Sora. "It's the statue of Emperor Mateus."
"Emperor Mateus?" Tracey asked.
"Yeah. He was the emeperor of the empire known as Palamecia," Sora said.
"What do you know about him, Sora?" Tracey asked.
"It goes back to a long time ago. Palamecia was once just a simple kingdom, ruled by a good king. Things were peaceful in Palamecia for a while until Mateus took the throne for himself. He was a real ruthless guy. He ruled over Palamecia with an iron fist. He made it grow from a kingdom into an empire and he decided he wanted to rule the entire world. All of the other kingdoms and countries didn't want to be a part of the empire; when they refused, Mateus decided to take it all for himself and by force. He declared war on the world and sent his army out to ravage the other kingdoms and countries. He took over most of them, but there were some who didn't see things his way. Among them was Sir Aaron, my ancestor. He and his partner Lucario worked with the neighboring kingdoms to take down Mateus's army. Sir Aaron, Lucario, and a small band of warriors went directly to Mateus himself and defeated him. The Palamecian Empire has fallen," Sora explained.
"That's right. The Kanto region was one of the places he tried to conquer. He also tried to conquer the other regions, too. So many lives were destroyed by Palamecia's attempts," Kairi said.
"I'm amazed by how you were able to tell it, Sora," Tracey said.
"Just how can you be certain that's Mateus, Sora?" Kairi asked.
"I saw him in picture books when I was little. There's no way I could ever mistake him. Palamecia was a force to be reckoned with. Even Team Rocket could never hold a candle to the empire even it was still around," Sora said. "I never thought I would see this eyesore anywhere."
"Neither did I. There is no forgiving their cruel ways," Kairi said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Toge," Togepi chirped.
"We should keep moving. I don't want to look at it anymore. It stinks with evil," Sora said. Kairi, Tracey, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi followed Sora, leaving the statue behind. Tracey could understand since he remembered hearing about the history of Palamecia before it fell.
A whole day later, they wonder through a meadow, seeing Grass-type Pokémon living in the area.
"Look at those Bellsprout," Kairi said, looking at the swaying Bellsprout.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"And those are Vileplume right there. And those are Gloom right over there," Sora said, spotting the Gloom and Vileplume ahead of them.
"This area has a lot of Grass-type Pokémon living in the area," Tracey said. A Hoppip hops their way.
"Hey, a Hoppip," Sora said.
"How cute," Kairi cooed. The breeze blows and picks Hoppip in the air.air. "Don't let him get away!"
"Hold on, Hoppip!" Sora called out.
"We'll save you!" Tracey called out.
They chase right after the Hoppip, hoping to catch him.
Just then, a young woman catches the Hoppip in a net.
"Who's that girl?" Kairi asked.
"We should ask her," Sora said.
"There. One down, one to go," the young woman said. Another Hoppip softly lands on her head. "Well, it was a good thing I didn't lose my head while I was chasing you or you wouldn't have a place to land."
"Excuse us, miss!" Tracey called out.
"Huh?" The young woman asked as she turned to see the trio coming right towards her. "Oh, hi. You surprised me."
"Sorry about that. We were just passing by when we ran into that little Hoppip. Are those Hoppip yours or are they wild Pokémon?" Sora asked.
"Both of these Hoppip are mine actually. My name is Mariah," the young woman introduced herself.
"I'm Sora, and this is Pikachu," Sora introduced.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"My name's Kairi, and this Eevee is Angel, and this is Togepi," Kairi introduced.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped.
"And my name's Tracey," Tracey finished with the introductions.
"It's nice to meet you," Mariah said.
"So, if those Hoppip are yours, Why were you chasing him with a net?" Kairi asked.
"Oh, I have a house not too far from here. How about you come along with me if you please," Mariah said.
"Sure thing," Sora said.
Mariah led Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi to her house topped with weather equipment on the roof. Waiting for Mariah to come back were five additional Hoppip.
"I'm back, everyone," Mariah announced.
"Seven Hoppip, huh?" Tracey asked.
"Sometimes, it feels like seventeen," Mariah said. She took out some Pokémon food for them to eat. "Okay, everyone. There's plenty to go around." The Hoppip eats the food happily. Sora looked at the top of the roof.
"You have plenty of thingamajigs on your roof, Mariah. What do you do with the Hoppip?" Sora asked.
"Wanna see?" Mariah asked. They step inside and saw machines used to predict the weather. "All of those instruments on the roof helps me do my job. I'm a weather forecaster, and the equipment gives me whatever data on weather conditions just so I can make accurate predictions."
"That's amazing," Kairi said.
"How did you train all those Hoppip and still have time to make weather fore?" Tracey asked.
"The reason I train Hoppip is just so they can help me make weather forecasts," Mariah explained.
"How can Hoppip do that?" Sora asked.
"How about I show you," Mariah said. Everyone stepped out and saw the Hoppip huddle together. "Watch closely. The wind's gonna pick up any second."
"I see how you know it, Mariah. They can predict the weather just by huddling together," Tracey said.
"That's exactly right, Tracey," Mariah said. A wind kicks up and blew 2 out of 7 Hoppip and they float right to the net behind them.
"It only took two of them," Sora said.
"That breeze would have rated 2 on the Hoppip scale," Mariah said.
"Why 2?" Sora asked.
"Depending how strong the winds are blowing, it will carry the Hoppip in the breeze," Mariah said.
"That makes sense," Sora said.
"I have been doing research on the Hoppip and studying their behavior patterns. I believe Hoppip will help meteorologists make long-range accurate predictions," Mariah said.
"I get it. It's like with farmers and fishermen who can tell if a storm is coming by looking at the shape of the clouds or the color of the sky," Kairi said.
"That's right. I just love exploring the relationship between my Hoppip and the weather," Mariah said.
"I can understand. I'm a Pokémon Watcher and I explore the wild to observe wild Pokémon in their natural habitat," Tracey said.
"It's a challenge to train the Hoppip and keep my weather research going. But being around them makes me so happy, it doesn't seem like work, so it's not easy to chase after Hoppip when the wind blows for miles and miles away," Mariah said.
"Sounds like the Hoppip keeps you hopping," Sora said. Mariah chuckled at Sora's joke.
"You could put it that way," Mariah said. The Hoppip huddles together again, but they had an additional one, but it didn't look like a Hoppip at all.
"The Hoppip are bunched together again," Tracey said.
"Must be another breeze on the way," Kairi said. The breeze blew the seven Hoppip in the wind. The eighth creature went right at after. Sora saw it was an Oddish covered in pink paint. The Weed Pokémon jumped on a rock and tried to jump off, but Oddish fell on the ground.
"Hey, what's that Oddish doing?" Sora asked. Kairi and Tracey looked at the Oddish running towards them.
"That Oddish is a Pokémon that lives in the neighborhood. He spends so much time playing with my Hoppip, he decides he wants to be a Hoppip, too. I repeatedly told him that he's an Oddish and not a Hoppip, but he just refuses to listen. He's just so determined to keep on flying," Mariah said. Oddish ran towards the fence and climbs up. Oddish tries to jump off, but he lands on the hay beneath him. Oddish ends up in tears.
"Poor little Oddish. I wish there was a way we could help you," Kairi said.
"Yeah, but there's no way we could do that. Everybody knows an Oddish can't fly," Sora said.
"I agree," Tracey said. "Just wish there was something we could do."
Unknown to them, Team Rocket are watching them from a close distance.
"Look at them twerps. Even twerpier than usual," Meowth said, looking through his binoculars. He laughed. He sets his attention on the seven Hoppip. "And look at all them Hoppip! If we swipe them all, maybe we could go into business for ourselves."
"The only business we would be successful in is a going-out-of-business store," Jessie said. Meowrh turned to Jessie.
"Those Hoppip could have us rolling in dough, Jessie," Meowth said.
"You mean we're going to be bakers?" James asked.
"No, this is a million dollar idea. Just hear me out. I wanna start a Hoppip delivery service," Meowth said.
"A Hoppip delivery service?" Jessie and James asked in unison.
"All we gotta do is launch the Hoppip into the sky. We wouldn't have to pay for no airplanes, trucks, and no delivery person uniforms. If we keep those Hoppip overhead we won't have any overhead! Every kid loves Pokémon, so they'll have their parents line up to use the Hoppip like carrier Pidove, but the prices won't be chicken feed. Ah, we could have a flight-by-night operation," Meowth said. Jessie and James looked at Meowth, knowing it wouldn't last long.
"Sorry to be a major downer, Meowth, but what will happen if the breeze dies down, and the Hoppip drops at 10 miles from their destination?" James asked.
"Dah! Oh, yeah!" Meowth exclaimed, knowing James was right to bring that up.
"And how do you think the boss will react if he hears about us hoarding Pokémon for ourselves instead of giving them to him?" Jessie asked.
"He'd give us the boot faster than a Pidgeot can fly!" James said. Meowth looked down at the ground in defeat.
"Your Hoppip delivery service won't fly, but there's gotta be a way to send them to the boss. We must seize this opportunity before it's blown to the wind!" Jessie said.
"Yo!" Team Rocket all said at once.
Back to Sora and his friends, Oddish is still in tears.
"Look, I think you're a great Pokémon, even though you can't fly," Sora said.
"He's right," Kairi said.
Without warning, the net cuts, surprising everyone.
"May we have your attention, please? We're not here to shoot the breeze!" Jessie and James said. Sora sighed.
"Oh, no, not those morons again," Sora said.
"What do you want from us?" Mariah asked.
"Prepare for trouble!" Jessie said.
"Make it double!" James said.
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all peoples to our nation!"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above.
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!"
"Surrender now or prepare to fight!"
"Meowth! That's right!"
"What do you idiots want now?" Sora asked.
"We want all those Hoppip just so we can him into business for ourselves!" Meowth said.
"Meowth, we're going to say this again, we're not doing that," Jessie said.
"It's a great idea, isn't it?" Meowth asked.
"No, it's a terrible idea!" James said.
"You'll be getting these Hoppip when Charmander swims!" Kairi said.
"Then Charmander better take out a snorkel, because we'll turn up the breeze!" James said as he, Jessie, and Meowth wave their fans to blow the Hoppip in the breeze.
"It'll take more than you windbags go blow us away!" Mariah said.
"How about this, instead?" Meowth asked, taking out a giant fan. "Meet our biggest fan!" Meowth turns it on and it starts blowing. Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Mariah, and Oddish caught the Hoppip in the breeze.
"Can't let them win," Sora said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Chikorita! Go!" His Pokéball opened and Chikorita came right out.
"No, you don't!" Jessie said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it as well. "Arbok! Go!" Her Arbok came right out.
"Use Razor Leaf!" Sora ordered. Chikorita fired Razor Leaf, hitting Arbok on the mark. "Use Tackle!" Chikorita charges at Arbok, hitting him, landing on Jessie and James.
"No fair! I didn't get to attack once!" Jessie said.
"Let's turn it up to hurricane level!" Meowth said, increasing the fan's power.
"Your plan's about to spring a leak! Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu jumped in the air and fired Thunderbolt, hitting the fan. The fan explodes, sending them flying in the air.
"Our plan did spring a leak," Meowth said.
"WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Team Rocket exclaimed as they go flying in the sky. A star twinkles in the distance.
"Good work, Pikachu and Chikorita," Sora said. He pets them both.
"Those three aren't so scary once you get to know them," Kairi said.
"Are you all okay?" Mariah asked.
"The way Oddish caught one of the Hoppip was pretty brave," Tracey said.
"Hoppip, Hoppip, Hoppip, Hoppip!" The Hoppip all chanted. A breeze blew in and they go into a huddle, putting their leaves together. Oddish joins right in. Mariah gasped, knowing it was a bad sign.
"Oh no! A huge wind storm's on its way!" Mariah exclaimed.
"How can you tell, Mariah?" Kairi asked.
"And how do you know it's big?" Tracey asked.
"See, Hoppip only puts their leaves together before an extremely strong winds. It's very rare," Mariah said.
"Oh boy," Sora said in a nervous tone.
They went inside as the winds were getting stronger. Mariah saw the data from her machine.
"Oh my goodness! All my instruments just confirmed what my Hoppip already told me," Mariah said. "There's a tornado coming!"
"Tornado?!" Sora, Kairi, and Tracey gasped.
"Pika?!" Pikachu gasped.
"Vee?!" Angel also gasped.
"Yes, and it's this way!" Mariah said.
"Uh-oh," Sora whimpered.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket walked down the road. Their beatings were visible.
"Oh, we might as well just give it up while we still can. I mean, it won't be worth it if we end up being humiliated again by the twerps or be done in by the Heartless," James groaned.
"Yeah," Meowth said.
"I just don't see how it could possibly get any worse than this," Jessie said. She hears a whooshing sound behind her. "Did you guys hear that?"
"I did hear that. But what is it?" James asked.
"Oh, it's just a tornado," Meowth said as he and his human companions turned around. They screamed when they saw they were in the tornado's path.
"CRAP!" Team Rocket exclaimed as they ran for their lives. They get picked up in the twister.
"Team Rocket's-" Meowth started.
"-blasting off-" Jessie added.
"-again!" James finished.
They kept on screaming as they kept on screaming.
"Didn't we see this before in the Wizard of Oz?" Meowth asked.
"We did, but there's no house to land on a wicked witch!" Jessie shouted.
"But one might fall on us!" James said.
"And that will just kill us like it did the Wicked Witch of the East!" Jessie said.
"I don't know about you, but I'd rather have my heart taken by those Heartless rather than end up splattered on the pavement like an egg!" Meowth said.
Back at Mariah's house, Sora, Kairi, and Tracey nailed the door and windows shut with planks.
"I've never seen a twister this big! It won't be long until it hits us at full force! We all better take cover under the desk right away!" Mariah said.
Not needing to be told twice, Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi complied with Mariah as the tornado is quickly approaching them. They could tell it was getting closer by how more violent the room was shaking.
"Here it comes," Sora said.
"Sora, hold me!" Kairi said.
"Only if you hold me, Kairi!" Sora said.
The couple held each other as Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi held onto them. Tracey held on to the couple as well. The tornado rips the roof off and pulls the Hoppip right in it.
"Oh no! My Hoppip!" Mariah exclaimed.
"I got you, Mariah!" Tracey exclaimed, grabbing her. Oddish is pulled in as well.
"Oddish, no!" Kairi cried.
"Kairi, don't let go!" Sora said.
The tornado went right by them, carrying the Grass-type Pokémon in it.
They waited for the storm to pass and the sky to clear up. Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Pikachu, Angel, Togepi, and Mariah were fortunate to survive that storm, but the same could not be said for the house.
"Man that twister did a number on this place," Sora said.
"It certainly did. It's a miracle that we made it through that," Tracey said.
"A miracle isn't a word I would choose for this kind of situation. I'm worried about Oddish and the Hoppip," Kairi said.
"Kairi's right. We should go and look for them," Tracey said.
"Good idea. Let's hope they haven't gone too far," Sora said. He turned to Mariah. "Hope it's okay with you, Mariah." Mariah just smiled.
"Your help is more than welcomed, Sora," Mariah said.
They left the ruins of the house and they followed the trail of destruction.
"We found the roof," Sora said.
"I'm glad it didn't land on anyone," Mariah said.
"Oddish," a weak voice squeaked.
"You hear that?" Sora asked.
"Eevee?" Angel asked.
"It sounds close," Tracey said.
"Oddish, where are you?" Kairi asked.
"Eevee!" Angel said, pointing to something. She looked and saw Oddish on the ground, dazed from the rough landing.
"Oddish! Thank goodness you're alright," Mariah said.
"Oddish, Oddish, Oddish!" Oddish said.
"Looks like he's worried about the Hoppip," Sora said.
"You're right, Sora. About a month ago, there was a terrible thunderstorm, and one of the Hoppip got caught in it. We couldn't find her anywhere. But Oddish found her and brought her home to me," Mariah said.
"Oddish, Oddish," Oddish said.
"What a friend," Kairi said.
They began their search for the missing Hoppip. Oddish's leaves moved in the blowing wind. Oddish turned to his left.
"I think Oddish is telling us to go left since that's where the wind is blowing," Mariah said.
"Good work, Oddish," Tracey praised.
They go to the left, finding themselves in a sea of trees.
"It's not unusual for Oddish to get caught in the trees," Mariah said. Oddish turned and saw one of them in a tree, stuck between two branches. "Hoppip!"
"I got this one," Sora said, climbing up the tree. He grabbed Hoppip and jumped down. "Safe and sound."
"Thank you, Sora," Mariah said, smiling.
"One down, six to go," Tracey said.
They kept on looking, so Oddish led them to a river.
"Where could the other six be?" Kairi asked. She got her answer when another one of the Hoppip is holding onto a rock in the river. "There's one! He's trying to hold on!"
"Let me handle this one," Tracey said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Marill! Come out!" The Aqua Mouse Pokémon came out of his Pokéball.
"Marill, rill!" Marill said.
"Marill, swim in the river and save that Hoppip," Tracey said. Marill complies with Tracey and jumped in the water. He grabbed the stranded Cottonweed Pokémon and pulled him to safety. Tracey pets Marill on the head once he brought the Hoppip to safety. "Good work, Marill."
"Marill," Marill said.
"Now we got five more to find," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
Oddish leads them to an opened field and looks around for the remaining Hoppip.
"Oddish must have realized one of the other Hoppip is nearby," Kairi said.
"Oddish! Oddish!" Oddish said, hopping up and down.
"Oddish has to realize that since he's so close to them," Sora said.
"Oddish! Oddish!" Oddish said.
"There's one of them now!" Tracey said.
"Let's follow her!" Kairi said.
They followed the third Hoppip from below.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket are floating in their balloon with four of the seven Hoppip in their possession.
"It looks like that tornado had a silver lining after all. That twister has given us four Hoppip," James said.
"There were seven of these little ones, so we have to find the other three," Jessie said. She laughs.
"I say we use them only for overnight delivery," Meowth said. James sighed.
"Give it up already, Meowth," James said.
"I got a better idea. How about we give each one an adorable pinwheel?" Jessie suggested.
"The boss will hate it," James and Meowth said. Jessie saw another one of the Hoppip flying towards them.
"Look! Another Hoppip! And it's heading right this way!" Jessie said.
"Get the net!" James said. Meowth grabs a butterfly net and used it to grab it. Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Pikachu, Angel, Togepi, and Mariah have finally caught up.
"It's Team Rocket's balloon!" Kairi said.
"Time to bring them down!" Sora said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Gligar! Go!" His Pokéball opened and Gligar came right out. "Use Wing Attack on that balloon!" Gligar flew right at Team Rocket's balloon. They spotted the Fly Scoropion Pokémon coming at them.
"Hey, ain't that a Gligar?" James asked.
"Yeah, but he looks familiar," Meowth said. Gligar slashes the balloon, making them fall into the trees.
"Let's go after them!" Sora said. Kairi, Tracey, Mariah, and the Pokémon followed them.
"What the heck was that?" Meowth asked.
"Just your just desserts being served to you!" Sora said. They saw Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Mariah, and the Pokémon with two of the Hoppip.
"You again!" Jessie growled. "I should have known it was you who sent us crashing!"
"And I'd do it again until you finally clean up your act!" Sora said.
"Hand those Hoppip over!" Tracey said.
"Not without a fight!" Jessie said. James took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Victreebel!" James called out. Victreebel came out and chomped on James's head. "Don't chew on me, chew on them!" Jessie took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Arbok!" Jessie called out. Arbok came on out to battle. Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Furret!" Kairi called out. Furret came right out to battle. Tracey took out a Pokéball.
"I stood on the sidelines long enough! Go! Venonat!" Tracey called out. Venonat came right out alongside Gligar and Furret. Oddish joined in the fray.
"Oddish?" Sora asked.
"He wants to battle Team Rocket?" Tracey asked. Team Rocket laughed at Oddish.
"You gotta be kidding!" Jessie said.
"Looks like Victreebel is finally gonna have a victory!" James said. "Victreebel! Use Leaf Blade!" Victreebel comes at Oddish with Leaf Blade. Oddish took the hit, but fought back with Stun Spore, paralyzing Victreebel on the mark.
"Oddish just used Stun Spore!" Tracey said. Oddish then jumped and gave the Fly Catcher Pokémon a kick.
"Arbok! Use Crunch!" Jessie ordered. Arbok started to come at Oddish with his jaws, ready to bite him. Oddish sprinkles Sleep Powder, making Arbok fall asleep. "Wake up, Arbok! It's Crunch time, not nap time!"
"Forget, Jessie! Unless Arbok knows Sleep Talk, he's sleeping like a baby!" Sora said. Oddish then begins to build up solar energy into his leaves.
"Oddish is going to use Solar Beam!" Kairi said.
"Oh, no you don't! Not if I have anything to say!" Meowth charged right at Oddish. The Weed Pokémon quickly fired Solar Beam, hitting him and his colleagues. An explosion occurs, and they go flying.
"Well, we do a whole lot more hopping than those Hoppip," James said.
"Wait! How about we just do the delivery service ourselves! I mean, we already have the uniforms!" Meowth said. Jessie growled in annoyance.
"FOR THE LAST FREAKING TIME, WE'RE NOT DOING YOUR STUPID DELIVERY IDEA!" Jessie roared.
"Okay, okay! Sheesh, no need to yell!" Meowth said.
"We're blasting off again!" Team Rocket exclaimed as they go flying once again. A star twinkles in the distance.
"Gone, but not forgotten," Sora said.
Sora, Kairi, and Tracey have gotten the other five Hoppip out ti safety and made it to the field.
"I am so relieved that you're all safe and sound," Mariah said.
"And it's all thanks to Oddish," Kairi said.
"Oddish," Oddish said.
"You might be able to fly, but you pack quite a punch. You're special just the way you are, Oddish," Sora said.
"Oddish?" Oddish asked.
"He's right, Oddish. Some Pokémon are special in their own way, like Marill and Zubat having excellent hearing, and Venonat having incredible eyesight," Kairi said.
"There are Pokémon that are excellent swimmers like Poliwrath and some that can be excellent diggers like Sandshrew and Diglett," Tracey said.
"You aren't a Hoppip, and you'll never be able to fly, but you have more spirit than you think you do. It's the things you can do that counts, not the things you can't do," Sora said.
"Are you listening, Oddish?" Mariah asked. Oddish turned to her and nodded. "You're special just the way you are, and you'll always be special to me." Oddish was touched, so he jumped right into Mariah's arms. She smiled. "Of course, I do, Oddish. From now one, I'll think of you as an honorary Hoppip, even though you're a little Oddish!" Everyone all shared a laugh.
Before they could take off, Sora, Kairi, and Tracey helped Mariah rebuild the house.
"Job well-done," Sora said.
"Thank you so very much for helping me get my Hoppip back and fix up the house," Mariah said.
"It's the least we can do," Kairi said.
"That's what you do for a friend," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Thank you and good luck on your journey," Mariah said.
"Thanks!" Sora said.
"Good luck with your carrer!" Tracey said.
"Take care!" Kairi said.
Oddish and the Hoppip waved goodbye as they took their leave. Even though Oddish couldn't fly, but he did learn that he can sore when he works hard on the talents he does have. And that is something Sora, Kairi, and Tracey will have to remember when they make it through life.
