Episode 114: Celebi's Power of Time
Where we last left off, they got to the shrine, they found what they were told to find.
"This is it. The shrine Kurt told us about," Sora said.
"The shrine to Celebi," Tracey said.
"He did say that we place the GS Ball on the shrine, so let's see if something happens," Kairi said.
"He did. But I'm not sure if he knows what will happen," Tracey said.
"We might as well find out just by placing it on the shrine," Sora said. He took the GS Ball and he places it onto the shrine. Suddenly, it began to shake on its own. This surprises Sora, Kairi, Tracey, and the Pokémon greatly. Before any of them could ask what was happening, the GS Ball shatters into a million pieces as a light green light shines brightly. They all had to shield their eyes. When the light faded, they saw something incredible. It is a green, fairy-like Pokémon. It has round toeless feet, three-fingered hands, and clear wings on its back. It has a round head that comes to a curved point. It has large baby-blue eyes with thick black rings around them, and a pair of green antennae with blue tips.
"Is that what I think it is?" Tracey asked.
"What is it?" Sora asked.
"I think I know. It's Celebi," Kairi said with awe.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Toge," Togepi chirped.
"Bi?" Celebi asked, looking around. "BI!" Celebi said, going into a twirl. Sora slowly took out his Pokédex and scanned the Time Travel Pokémon.
Celebi, the Time Travel Pokémon
Type: Psychic/Grass
It has been said that Celebi has the power to travel through time. Records describing it as a forest deity can be found in many eras.
"We had a mythical Pokémon with us the whole time and we didn't even know it. I mean, wow!" Sora said with awe.
"Pika," Pikachu said with awe as well.
"Bi!" Celebi said, flying around them all.
"Wow. Celebi is way cuter up close," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped.
"It's good to finally meet you, Celebi. I hope you appreciate us for letting you out," Kairi said.
"Bi!" Celebi beamed. Celebi then gave off a light green glow, catching Sora, Kairi, Tracey, and the Pokémon in it. They then vanished without a trace. They arrived to a strange land.
"Where are we?" Sora asked.
"And when are we?" Kairi asked.
Just then, an Aerodactyl came flying at them.
"Aerodactyl coming our way!" Sora exclaimed.
"Pika!" Pikachu exclaimed as they ducked out of the way when Aerodactyl swoops down at them.
"Run!" Sora yelled as Aerodactyl started to chase after them. Aerodactyl kept chasing after them as they ran for their lives. They became trapped when they came across a stone wall.
"We're trapped!" Kairi gasped.
"I heard of being caught between a rock and a hard place, but this is ridiculous," Sora said. Tracey turned around and he yelped when Aerodactyl was coming at them.
"It's coming this way!" Tracey exclaimed.
Sora, Kairi, Tracey, and the Pokémon froze in place when Aerodactyl flew right at them. Aerodactyl readies itself to snatch them all when Celebi appeared and takes them with them. Aerodactyl crashes into the wall when they disappeared, leaving the Fossil Pokémon confused. Rocks started to crumble and come down. Aerodactyl was crushed by the falling rocks.
Sora, Kairi, Tracey, and the Pokémon were taken to another point in time. They looked around for any signs for where they are.
"That was close. For a second there, I my life was flashing before my eyes," Sora said.
"Mine too," Kairi said.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said.
"Eevee, vee," Angel said.
"Just when are we now?" Tracey asked. They all looked around and they saw something they didn't expect to see. There were kids that looked very familiar to the couple. It was Tai Kamiya, Matt Ishida, Sora Takenouchi, Izzy Izumi, Mimi Tachikawa, Joe Kido, TK Takaishi, and Kari Kamiya.
Tai had goggles on his forehead over a blue headband and sports a blue T-shirt with orange stars on the sleeves, a yellow pocket on each side of the chest, and three buttons in the top, over a slightly longer yellow T-shirt with a turtleneck collar. He also wears brown cargo shorts, where he had a strange-looking device, a black armband on the left arm, white gloves, whitish-blue loose socks with blue and white sneakers with yellow triangles on them.
Matt had his hair in a spiky style. He wore a sleeveless green shirt, brown gloves, navy blue jeans, dark brown shoes with gray soles, light green socks.
Sora T wore a yellow sleeveless turtlenecked shirt with a white collar with a triangle under it and ruff on the bottom. She also wears red gloves, blue jeans with a pink belt with a pouch where she keeps the same kind of device, dark gray sneakers with crimson highlights and lightning bolts on the soles, and a blue beanie with a cyan brim and straps.
Izzy appears to be very short for his age. He wears an orange button-up shirt with rolled-back sleeves, olive green shorts, light yellow gloves, light green socks, and purple and gray shoes with a yellow lightning motif.
Mimi mostly wears her hair tied back in a high ponytail with a yellow hairband, with long strands framing her face, but also wears it down sometimes. She wears a western-style red dress with a buttoned poncho, a dark brown belt with a golden buckle, light brown gloves with brown straps around the wrists, pink socks, and brown and white shoes. She also wears a large pink cowgirl hat with a white drawstring.
Joe wore a green watch on his left wrist in addition to a yellow wristband on the right. In addition, Joe also has a white-purple short-sleeved button-up shirt under a cream vest with blue trimmings, dark grey trousers, with cobalt blue socks that reaches up to his knees with red and white boots. His underwear are light blue boxers with a white band.
TK wore a green vest over a light green shirt with long sleeves, khaki shorts, yellow socks, green and white strapped tennis shoes, and an odd green hat with a blue gem stone.
And finally Kari pale yellow sleeveless shirt with two white buttons, a pale pink neckerchief, hot pink pants with white socks and red and white sneakers. She also wore a whistle.
"Are they who I think they are?" Sora asked.
"You know them?" Tracey asked.
"Yeah. Tai, Matt, girl Sora, Izzy, Mimi, Joe, TK, and Kari. We must be a few years ago," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"As much I'd like to say hi to them, but we shouldn't do that, because we might affect our present," Kairi said.
"You're right, Kairi. We might end up being asked some very awkward questions," Sora said.
Celebi appeared and makes them all vanish again. Tai turned and saw the flash of light green light.
"What was that?" Tai asked.
They went through different places in different times. They arrived in what looks like the ruins of a castle. Sora didn't understand what it meant. Several other Celebi appeared before them. One Celebi in particular is colored differently than the others. This Celebi is hot pink. It has light green tips of its antennae.
"Where are we now?" Kairi asked.
"You have arrived in the castle ruins in a thousand years from your present. This was the castle of Garland," Flora said, showing up.
"Who are you?" Tracey asked.
"My name is Flora. I sensed the release of one of the Celebi, so I asked it to bring you here. We need to talk," Flora said.
"You mean about Organization XIII, the Heartless, and the Nobodies?" Sora asked.
"No. There is something else you should know. There is a great evil that threatens all life as we know it," Flora said.
"What kind of threat are you talking about?" Kairi asked.
"What I'm speaking of is a demonic force that will stop at nothing until both humans and Pokémon are all eradicated from the world," Flora said.
"A demonic force?" Kairi asked.
"Eevee?" Angel asked.
"I think you had an encounter with two of them before your trip into the realm of darkness," Flora said. Sora and Kairi remembered dealing with the wolves that attacked Team Rocket and how they bursts into green flames.
"Oh man," Sora said.
"Did Organization XIII send it after us?" Kairi asked.
"No. It plans to do the same for Organization XIII because of their human appearance. This demonic force goes by the name of Trickster. He possessed a human boy some time ago, because he requires a human host until he was strong enough to gain a physical form.
"Just how can we stop Trickster?" Sora asked.
"You will need these," Flora said, handing Sora and Kairi eight crystals. One is red, one is blue, one is yellow, one is green, one is light blue, one is purple, one is white, and one is black. "The crystals of fire, water, earth, wind, ice, lightning, light, and darkness will be your keys. Be sure to keep those close because they're very important."
"Not a problem," Sora said, taking the crystals.
"And we appreciate you informing us," Tracey said.
"It's the least I can do. You managed to stop Ansem from plunging the world into eternal darkness, and stopped Team Rocket on several occasions," Flora said.
"Anything else we can do, Flora?" Sora asked.
"Not at the moment, but-" Flora froze. She gasped. "Trickster is on to us!" Just then, goblins appeared. They had dark orange skins, and pointed noses. They wore green garbs and all wielded knives. Sora summoned his Kingdom Key as Kairi summoned her Destiny's Embrace. The goblins came at them, but they were easily defeated. Green flames erupt from them as the wolves appeared and lunged at them. Sora and Kairi managed to take them down, but a round, plump body with one set of creatures appeared. They all had wings, a pair of talons on the "end" digits of each wing and foot. They each had a long tail and five to six spikes on the back. They each had a single huge eye and dozens of sharp teeth. These monsters are known as floating eyes. They flew at the couple, but Pikachu gave them a jolt of Thunderbolt, shocking them. They burst into green flames.
"Nice save, Pikachu," Sora said.
"Chu," Pikachu said.
They were met with more problems coming their way. Skeletons materialized and came at them. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel took out the skeletons by swinging their Keyblades. Green flames bursts into green flames when they hit the ground. Zombies then emerged from the ground and slowly staggered their way towards them. Sora and Kairi cast their fire spell at the zombies, burning them. The zombies fell to the ground as green flames bursts on them and vanished. Eagle-like creatures appeared and dove at them. These eagles are known as hell divers. Angel fired Swift at the hell divers, destroying them. Rats with sharp swords on their backs appeared and came at them. Pikachu shocked them all, and destroyed them. Green flames erupt when they were taken out.
"Man, this is getting ridiculous! If dealing with Heartless and Nobodies was something, but we gotta fight zombies and walking skeletons, too?!" Sora exclaimed.
"Well, we have an act of drawing the attention of monsters, Sora, so it's best to go with the flow," Kairi said.
Just then, purple cobras came and tried to strike them. They killed the snakes by cutting off their heads. They vanished into green flames. A giant scorpion appeared and tried to sting them both. Kairi swung her Keyblade as it emits ice and slashed the stinger off. The stinger vanishes into green flames. Sora moved in and slashed the scorpion in the face, destroying it. Green flames erupts from it before it vanished. Several giant spiders came at them, but they cast their balloon spell on them, making them burst. Just then, creatures with hairy limbs and backs arrived. They were trolls. The trolls swiped at them, but they managed to take out the trolls just by swinging their Keyblades.
Just then, a new monster appeared before them. Mist began to gather around them.
"What's going on?" Tracey asked.
"I think we're about to find out," Sora said. The mist began to take shape. It was the shape of a dragon. "Is that a dragon?"
"It is! A mist dragon!" Flora said. The dragon came right at the couple and their Pokémon by spewing a blast of ice at them. Kairi casts her reflect spell and the ice bounces right off. Sora swung the Kingdom Key, but the scales were very strong. Kairi came at it, but it snapped its jaws at her, but Kairi kept swinging at it. Pikachu and Angel attacked with Thunderbolt and Swift. The dragon dissolves into mist.
"Where'd it go?" Sora asked.
"The mist dragon didn't vanish! It only turned into mist! You have to attack it when it has regained its physical form!" Flora said.
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel looked around for any signs of the dragon, but a blast of cold air hits them hard.
"This is getting us nowhere! We'll have to blow this cold air away with our wind magic!" Sora said.
"You're right. We should!" Kairi agreed.
"WIND!" Sora and Kairi called out. A wind blows the cold air in the opposite direction. The mist dragon rematerialized and came at them again.
"Here it comes!" Kairi said.
"Let's warm that thing up!" Sora said. The couple points their Keyblades at the mist dragon.
"FIRE!" Sora and Kairi shouted, casting their fire spell. Two fireballs struck the dragon hard, but it wasn't enough to bring it down. The dragon roared as it spews ice at the couple. Pikachu and Angel came at the dragon with Iron Tail, but it swung its claws at them. Sora and Kairi managed to roll and cartwheel out of the way of the dragon's claws.
"Sora, are you okay?!" Kairi asked with concern.
"I'm fine. I'm more concerned about you, Kairi," Sora said.
"I'm fine, Sora, but you know I worry about you a lot," Kairi said.
"Sora, Kairi, look out!" Tracey shouted. They saw the mist dragon coming at them and they dodged just when the dragon snapped at them.
"How about we save the lovey-dovey talk after we survive this?" Sora suggested.
"Ditto," Kairi agreed.
The couple came at the dragon again, only for it to turn to mist again.
"Keep your eyes opened, Kairi. It'll make itself whole again in no time," Sora said.
"Right," Kairi said.
The mist dragon rematerialized again, and this just gave the couple a chance to take on the mist dragon again. They gave the mist dragon a slash at the chest, making it fall to the ground. Green flames erupts on the mist dragon as it dies.
"You managed to win this today, but you will not be so fortunate the next time we meet," a voice spoke. Sora somehow recognized the voice that just spoke.
"Who are you?" Sora asked.
"Another time, human," the voice said.
"Okay, that was weird," Sora said.
"You've done well. Those creatures were conjured up by Trickster himself to destroy you. By working together, you have demonstrated that it will not be an easy task," Trickster said.
"We'll have to be ready for anything that comes our way. Thanks for sharing this bit of information to us," Sora said.
"Be warned. The Heartless and the Nobodies will not be the only threat against you. There are other monsters that will attempt to do you harm. Use your Keyblades well and keep the crystals safeguarded at all costs," Flora said. She turned to Celebi. "Won't you do the honors, Celebi?" The Time Travel Pokémon nodded and sent them forward in time. The pink Celebi teleported into the same light green light.
They arrived back to the Ilex Forest, right to the point where they have taken off.
"We're back!" Kairi said.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"Toge, Toge!" Togepi chirped.
"Yeah, but I think we should avoid any time traveling," Sora said.
"I agree," Tracey said. He checks his watch. "But at least we weren't gone too long. That's what my watch says."
"That's good. I doubt anybody would believe where we went anyway," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu agreed.
Just then, the pink Celebi appeared before them.
"Bi, bi!" Celebi said. They saw Celebi floating before them.
"Celebi? Why are you here?" Kairi asked.
"Bi, bi, bi!" Celebi said.
"You want to come with us, Celebi?" Kairi asked. Celebi nodded. Kairi took out an Ultra Ball and held it. Celebi pressed the button and flows inside. Stars swirls around the Ultra Ball to confirm the catch. "I got myself a mythical Pokémon."
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped.
What an expected turn of events have occurred for Sora, Kairi, and Tracey. They saw the demonstration of Celebi's power, and they learned that Organization XIII, Team Rocket, and the Heartless aren't the only threats to deal with. Kairi has a Shiny Celebi under her belt, and only time knows the answer of what the future holds.
