Episode 115: Tricks of the Trade

We open up to the Ilex Forest after Kairi has caught a Shiny Celebi after their time travelling escapades.

"Ugh, I'm just glad we made it back to the present in one piece," Sora said.

"Pikachu," Pikachu said.

"At least we know what we're up against," Kairi said.

"Eevee," Angel said.

"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped.

Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi kept their eyes opened for any signs of the Heartless, the Nobodies, and for Trickster's monsters. So far, they haven't seen any. Just then, a boy came running through the woods looking for something.

"Oh, man, my dad's going to kill me," the boy groaned.

"I wonder what's the matter with him," Tracey said.

"We should go an ask him," Sora said. They all walked up to the boy. "Excuse us." The boy turned to the trio. "Did you lose something?"

"I did. It was my dad's Farfetch'd. It ran away on me!" The boy said.

"Farfetch'd?" Sora asked, taking out his Pokédex.

Farfetch'd, the Wild Duck Pokémon

Type: Normal/Flying

Farfetch'd carries a leek as a weapon and uses it to fight off any attackers.

"Thought as much," Sora said, putting his Pokédex away. "So, what exactly happened, and why did your dad's Farfetch'd run away?"

"Okay, I was trying to instruct Farfetch'd to use Cutting, but it wouldn't do a thing I say. It was really frustrating," the boy said. Sora, Kairi, and Tracey looked at him, confused.

"Cutting?" Tracey asked.

"Yeah. It's a move that can be used to cut down trees," the boy said. Sora, Kairi, and Tracey understood what he meant.

"Oh, that. I think you got the command wrong," Sora said. The boy looked at him funny.

"What do you mean I got the command wrong? I gave the right command," the boy said.

"Well, you got the name of the move wrong. It's not Cutting, it's just Cut," Sora said. The boy looked at him again and it took 5 seconds to sink in.

"SHOOT! I DON'T BELIEVE IT! I AM SO INCREDIBLY STUPID! I GET A SIMPLE MOVE NAME WRONG! STUPID, STUPID, STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!" The boy yelled as he kicked a tree. "OW, OW, OW, OW!" He hops around on one foot, holding the one he used to kick the tree. He fell on his back and started to cry. "I can't do anything right!"

"Hey there, buddy. Pull yourself together. You just made some mistakes, that's all. That's nothing to beat yourself up over," Sora said.

"Yes, it is. It's my fault my dad's Farfetch'd ran away in the first place," the boy cried.

"You listen to him. You only made a mistake. You were just learning. Making mistakes is a part of learning," Kairi said.

"If it'll make you feel better, we can help you find your dad's Farfetch'd," Tracey said.

"Really?" The boy sniffed.

"Think nothing of it. We'll be more than happy to do it," Sora said.

"Thanks a lot. Anyway, my name's Sylvester," the boy introduced himself.

"Nice to meet you, Sylvester. I'm Sora," Sora introduced.

"I'm Kairi, and this is Angel and Togepi," Kairi introduced.

"And I'm Tracey," Tracey finished.

"Just take us to where you last saw your dad's Farfetch'd," Sora said.

"Okay," Sylvester said, leading the trio through the forest. They came to where he saw the Wild Duck Pokémon. "This is the spot where Farfetch'd ran off."

"Okay, let's spread out and find Farfetch'd. It couldn't have gotten too far," Tracey said.

"Before we start, I would like to know if your Farfetch'd is a boy or a girl," Kairi said.

"Um, my dad says my Farfetch'd is a boy," Sylvester said.

"Okay then," Kairi said.

"Alright, let's have a look around," Sora said.

"Pika," Pikachu agreed.

Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Sylvester, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi spreads out through the woods to find the missing Farfetch'd. Pikachu went with Sora as Angel and Togepi stuck with Kairi. Sora and Pikachu checked around through the shrubs when a Psyduck stared at them and fired Water Gun in their faces.

"Not in there," Sora said. Sora and Pikachu kept looking around until they saw the Pokémon in question. "There's Farfetch'd!"

"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu said. Farfetch'd looked at them. Sora whispered to the Mouse Pokémon.

"Okay, Pikachu, get Farfetch'd to come to me, and I'll grab him," Sora said.

"Pika," Pikachu nodded. Pikachu then started to chase Farfetch'd around. The Wild Duck Pokémon swung his leek at Pikachu.

"He's using Cut! Duck!" Sora called out. Pikachu ducks his head out of the way of the leek. Pikachu's cheeks starts sparking. "No, Pikachu! We're supposed to make sure Farfetch'd isn't hurt!"

"Pika," Pikachu said, realizing he was right. Farfetch'd starts running into Sora's direction. He dove down to grab him, but Farfetch'd flutters out of his path.

"Omph! Who would have thought one little Farfetch'd could be such a handful?" Sora asked. He got back up and he and Pikachu started to chase Farfetch'd throughout the Ilex Forest. He made contact with Kairi on his PokéGear.

"Hello?" Kairi answered.

"Kairi, it's me! I found Farfetch'd! I think we're heading your way!" Sora said.

Over to Kairi, Angel, and Togepi, she sees Farfetch'd running towards them. Thinking quickly, she took out some Pokémon food, attracting the nostrils of the duck-like Pokémon. Farfetch'd went for the food and started eating it.

"Isn't that good?" Kairi asked. Sora and Pikachu stopped and they panted.

"Good," pant, "thinking," Sora panted.

"Pika," Pikachu panted.

"Well, I had to try something," Kairi said. She looked at Farfetch'd. "I have plenty more if you want some more."

"Farfetch'd, Far," Farfetch'd said, smiling. Sylvester and Tracey arrived to see Farfetch'd eating.

"You found Farfetch'd!" Sylvester said.

"That's a relief," Tracey said.

"Sylvester, why don't you try giving it a try?" Kairi suggested.

"Eevee," Angel said.

"You sure, Kairi?" Sylvester asked.

"Trust me. You'll never know unless you try," Kairi said.

"She's right. You just need to have confidence in yourself," Sora said.

"Pikachu," Pikachu said.

"What if I mess up again?" Sylvester asked. Sora could clearly see he was worried, but he was willing to fix that.

"I know you'll do fine. What you need right now is some encouragement. Watch me," Sora said, turning to Pikachu. "Okay, Pikachu! Use Electro Ball in that tree over there!" He points to a tree on his right. Pikachu complies with an Electro Ball. "That was great! Now use Quick Attack!" Pikachu dashed with his speed attack. "Use Thunderbolt!" Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt, firing it straight into the air. Sylvester was amazed by what he was seeing.

"Wow, he's giving commands and Pikachu is obeying him. It's amazing," Sylvester said.

"It's more than just giving commands, Sylvester," Tracey said. Sylvester turned to the Pokémon Watcher. "It's about being one with your Pokémon. When you work together with your Pokémon, then there isn't anything you can't do."

"He's right, Sylvester. Sora, Pikachu, Angel, and I are one, so we understand each other," Kairi said.

"Maybe that's what's wrong. I haven't been able to understand Farfetch'd like my dad's been telling me. Well, all that's going to change," Sylvester said. Sora and Pikachu approached him.

"You going to do it or say it, Sylvester?" Sora asked.

"You're about to find out," Sylvester said. He turned to Farfetch'd. "Okay, Farfetch'd. Use Cut on that tree over there!" Farfetch'd obeyed and swung his leek at the tree, cutting it. The tree fell to the ground. "That's great, Farfetch'd! Cut again!" Farfetch'd uses Cut repeatedly on the tree, cutting the tree into blocks of wood. "That should do it."

"You did it, Sylvester!" Sora said.

"Thanks to your help, Sora. Thanks to you, Kairi, and Tracey, I understand perfectly," Sylvester said. "I still would have trouble with Farfetch'd if you haven't shown me how to do it. Now, let's get all this wood back to my house." So, Sylvester, along with Sora, Kairi, Tracey, and the Pokémon carried the blocks of wood back to his house. There, his dad was waiting for him. His Magmar was spewing fire in a furnace.

"Look at this. You got all that wood from just one tree?" Sylvester's dad asked.

"Yeah. I'm going to tell you, I had some trouble with Farfetch'd, so I was messing up with Cut. It was thanks to my new friends here," Sylvester explained. Sylvester's dad looked at them with a smile.

"Did they now?" Sylvester's dad asked.

"Yes, it is true, sir. We thought we'd show him how to do it by a demonstration of how Trainers works with their Pokémon," Kairi said.

"So, Sylvester had Farfetch'd use Cut on the tree," Sora said.

"Beautifullly cut, I will say. I'm very proud of you, son. But importantly, you should be proud of yourself," Sylvester's dad said. Sylvester smiled.

"Thanks, dad," Sylvester said. Sylvester's dad turned to the trio. He took out a basket of charcoal.

"Here you go. I want you three to have this charcoal, as my way of thanking you for teaching my son how to handle his Pokémon the right way," Sylvester's dad said.

"Thank you very much, sir," Sora said, taking the charcoal.

"We really appreciate it," Kairi said.

"Thanks a lot for the help, guys," Sylvester said.

"It's the least we could do. After all, that's what you do for a friend," Sora said. Sylvester smiled.

"Pikachu," Pikachu said.

They said their goodbyes to Sylvester and his dad as they took off. Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi made it out of the Ilex Forest and to a beach city of Palmpona.

Seeing it as an opportunity to use a Lure Ball, Sora decided to take up some fishing. He took out a fishing rod and he casts it.

"Okay, can't reel it in too fast or too soon. Just gotta remain focused," Sora said. He reeled it in just a little. He kept on holding onto the fishing pole.

"You sure look like you know what you're doing, Sora," Tracey said.

"Well, my uncle taught me how to fish when I was little," Sora said. He then felt a good, strong tug. "Whoa! Whatever that was, it felt like a big one!" He started to reel it in. "Come on! I got ya, I got ya!" Sora reeled it in and pulled hard. Out of the water came a sea dwelling piscine Pokémon with a spherical body and a flat, paddle-shaped tail. The upper half of its body is dark teal and the lower half is very light yellow. Its tail is tall and thin with a dark teal outline, light yellow inside, and two dark teal dots in the center that resemble the Japanese character ハ Ha. Its eyes are even with its body and are always seen slanted angrily. Below its eyes are its puffy pink lips. All around its body are sharp, conical spikes.

"What kind of Pokémon is that?" Kairi asked.

"It's a Qwilfish!" Tracey said. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned the Pokémon.

Qwilfish, the Balloon Pokémon

Type: Water/Poison

Qwilfish sucks in water, inflating itself. This Pokémon uses the pressure of the water it swallowed to shoot toxic quills all at once from all over its body. It finds swimming somewhat challenging.

"Qwilfish, huh? Looks like a cool Pokémon," Sora said. Qwilfish fired Poison Sting at Sora. "Whoa! Pikachu! Go and get it! Use Thunderbolt!" Pikachu fired Thunderbolt at Qwilfish, but it dodges just by rolling. Qwilfish fired Water Gun.

"He's using Water Gun!" Kairi gasped.

"Use Thunderbolt again!" Sora ordered. Pikachu dodges and fired Thunderbolt, hitting Qwilfish hard. Qwilfish was down. Sora took out his Lure Ball and threw it at the blowfish-like Pokémon. The Lure Ball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Lure Ball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Qwilfish with him. He chose to send Qwilfish to Professor Oak's lab. "Yes! I used my Lure Ball!"

"Nice catch, Sora!" Kairi praised her boyfriend.

"Thanks, Kairi," Sora said.

"Wow, that was awesome!" A boy's voice spoke. They turned to see a boy in a red shirt standing at a small distance from them. With him is a tall, cyan Pokémon with a soft body. Its eyes usually appear scrunched, and it has a jagged upper lip. It has flat arms that are wider towards the tip and four stubby legs at the base of its body. There are two eyespots on its black tail. "The way you caught that Qwilfish with that Pikachu was awesome."

"Thanks," Sora said. He looked at the blue Pokémon, so he took out his Pokédex. "Now, let's see what you are."

Wobbuffet, the Patient Pokémon

The evolved form of Wynaut

Type: Psychic

Wobbuffet is a docile Pokémon, unable to attack on its own. It lives in dark caves in order to keep its pitch-black tail concealed.

"Just as I thought. That's what Wynaut evolves into," Sora said, putting his Pokédex away.

"Wobbuffet," Wobbuffet said.

"Well, I'm glad you enjoyed that. My name's Sora," Sora introduced.

"Pikachu," Pikachu said.

"I'm Kairi, and these are Angel and Togepi," Kairi introduced.

"And I'm Tracey," Tracey concluded.

"Nice to meet you. My name's Benny. Are you heading for the Pokémon swap meet, too?" Benny asked.

"Pokémon swap meet?" Sora asked.

"I heard of that. It's said that Trainers gathers here in Palmpona every year to trade top-notch Pokémon," Tracey said.

"That's right, Tracey. Me and my Wobbuffet are heading there right now," Benny said.

"So, why would you wanna trade your Wobbuffet, Benny?" Kairi asked.

"Yeah, Wobbuffet looks like a great Pokémon to me," Sora said. He took out his Pokémon Box and he exchanged Yanma for Wynaut. "Come out." His Pokéball opened and Wynaut came out.

"Wynaut!" Wynaut said.

"Lookie here, Wynaut. Wobbuffet is what you're going to evolve into," Sora said.

"Wynaut, Wynaut," Wynaut said.

"Wobbuffet," Wobbuffet said.

"Your Wynaut looks really cute. I can tell it'll evolve into a fine Wobbuffet," Benny said.

"Wynaut," the Bright Pokémon blushed.

"Thanks, Benny," Sora said.

"I think trading Pokémon is a good way to gain a new Pokémon," Tracey said.

"I think so, too," Kairi said.

"Eevee," Angel said.

"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped.

"Anyway, we should be going. I'm hoping to see you there," Benny said.

"See ya, Benny," Sora said. He stroked his chin. "Hm, Pokémon swap meet, huh? Should be worth looking into."

"I'm with you, Sora. There should be all sorts of Pokémon there," Tracey said.

"I'd like to see it too," Kairi said. "You up for it, Angel and Togepi?"

"Eevee, vee," Angel said.

"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped.

With the matter settled, Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi decided to check out the Pokémon swap meet.

Over at the swap meet, Team Rocket were at the swap meet. James watering Victreebel as Jessie is washing her face.

"Just remember who raised you when you bite the heads of the ones who raises you," James said. Jessie dries her face off.

"Ah! Much better," Jessie said. Lickitung licks her face. She shakes Lickitung hard. "Dammit, Lickitung, I just had my face cleaned up and you had to go and mess it up with your icky slobber!" Meowth shows up.

"Hey, guys! Guess what I just heard!" Meowth said. Jessie and James turned to the Scratch Cat Pokémon.

"What is it, Meowth?" James asked.

"I just heard there's a Pokémon swap meet going on right here in Palmpona!" Meowth said.

"Did you say Pokémon swap meet?" Jessie and James asked.

"Just think of all the Pokémon with that'll be there," Jessie said.

"For us to steal that is," James added.

"We're on our way!" Team Rocket said as Lickitung and Victreebel follows them.

Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi managed to catch up with Benny and Wobbuffet and saw all sorts of Pokémon in attendance.

"Look at this place. There are Pokémon everywhere you look," Sora said.

"Pikachu," Pikachu said.

"Eevee," Angel said.

"I thought I should tell you that there are all sorts of events that goes on all week. For example, there is a couple's tournament that will go on," Benny said.

"A couple's tournament?" Sora and Kairi both asked. They looked at each other and they nodded.

"That's something I think the two of you can compete in," Tracey suggested.

"That's a great idea," Kairi said.

"Sounds like fun. Let's give it a shot," Sora said.

With that said, Sora and Kairi registered for the couple's tournament and they were glad they did some training. Tracey was showing his support for his two friends.

"Ladies and gentlemen, our annual couple's tag battle tournament is about to begin! First up, we have Jake and Melissa in the red corner, and we have Sora and Kairi coming in from the green corner!" The announcer announced.

Outside the stadium, Benny and Wobbuffet saw Sora and Kairi on the screen.

"Look, it's Sora and Kairi. They look the same on TV as they do in real life, huh?" Benny asked.

"Wobbuffet," Wobbuffet said.

Back in the stadium, Jake and Melissa each took out a Pokéball and threw it.

"Go! Primeape!" Jake called out.

"I choose you, Weepinbell!" Melissa called out.

Primeape and Weepinbell both came on out to battle. Sora and Kairi both took out a Pokéball and threw it.

"Go! Cyndaquil!" Sora and Kairi called out. Sora and Kairi's Pokéballs opened up and their Cyndaquil both came out to battle.

"Jake has sent out Primeape and Melissa has sent out Weepinbell while Sora and Kairi have each sent out a Cyndaquil!" The announcer announced.

"Primeape! Start up with Karate Chop!" Jake ordered.

"Weepinbell! Use Acid!" Melissa ordered.

Primeape came at Sora's Cyndaquil with a Karate Chop while Weepinbell spews Acid at Kairi's Cyndaquil.

"Dodge with Quick Attack!" Sora and Kairi ordered. Both Cyndaquil managed to dodge their opponents' attacks.

"Use Flamethrower!" Sora ordered.

"Use Flame Wheel!" Kairi ordered.

Sora's Cyndaquil fired Flamethrower as Kairi's Cyndaquil curls up and rolls into a ball of fire when their backs lit up with flames. Primeape is struck with Flamethrower as Weepinbell is struck hard by Flame Wheel.

"One Cyndaquil struck Primeape with Flamethrower while the other uses Flame Wheel on Weepinbell! Talk about a bad choice on Melissa's part!" The announcer announced.

"Don't worry, Melissa! I got this! Primeape! Use Mud-Slap!" Jake ordered. Primeape sends out a glop of mud at Sora's Cyndaquil, hitting him.

"Quil!" Sora's Cyndaquil cried.

"Ooh! One of the Cyndaquil has taken a Mud-Slap in the face!" The announcer announced.

"Great, Primeape! Mud-Slap again, but send it at the other one!" Jake ordered. Primeape sends a glop of mud at Kairi's Cyndaquil.

"Use Quick Attack!" Kairi ordered. Kairi's Cyndaquil dodges Primeape's Mud-Slap just by running. "Use Flamethrower!" Kairi's Cyndaquil fires Flamethrower, hitting them both.

"That one Cyndaquil has unleashed a huge Flamethrower right at Primeape and Weepinbell!" The announcer announced.

"Sora, is your Cyndaquil doing okay?" Kairi asked.

"One way to find out! Use Flame Wheel!" Sora ordered. Sora's Cyndaquil rolls into a ball of fire and struck Weepinbell hard.

"Now both Cyndaquil are back in synch!" The announcer announced.

"Weepinbell! Use Razor Leaf!" Melissa ordered.

"Primeape! Use Mud-Slap!" Jake ordered.

"Use Flamethrower! Turn up the heat!" Sora and Kairi ordered. Both Cyndaquil fired Flamethrower and struck both of Primeape and Weepinbell. Both Pokémon were down for the count.

"Primeape and Weepinbell are both unable to battle! Both Cyndaquil wins! The winners are Sora and Kairi!" The referee announced.

"What an upset! Sora and Kairi's Cyndaquil have won it, thanks to the Trainers!" The announcer announced.

"Wonderful job, you two!" Kairi said proudly.

"I knew your flames were hot stuff!" Sora said. Just then, Kairi's Cyndaquil started to evolve.

"Wait a minute! One of the Cyndaquil's evolving!" The announcer announced. Kairi's Cyndaquil has become a quadrupedal mustelid Pokémon with a long, slender body. The top half of its body is a dark blue-green, while its underside is cream-colored. It has triangular ears with dark red interiors, a rounded snout, and triangular red eyes. Each of its paws has three toes. It has five red spots on its body that can project flames: two arranged vertically on its forehead and three lined up horizontally on its rear. "Now that Cyndaquil has evolved into a Quilava!" Kairi took out her Pokédex and scanned her newly evolved Pokémon.

Quilava, the Volcano Pokémon

The evolved form of Cyndaquil

Type: Fire

Quilava keeps its foes at bay with the intensity of its flames and gusts of superheated air. This Pokémon applies its outstanding nimbleness to dodge attacks even while scorching the foes with flames.

"That battle you went through helped you evolve into a Quilava," Kairi said.

"Congrats on the evolving, Kairi," Sora said.

"Thank you, Sora. But your Cyndaquil did his part, too," Kairi said.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket have built a trade machine to steal the Pokémon from the Trainers taking place.

"Step right up, folks! And feast your eyes on the greatest Pokémon trade machine ever!" Jessie said.

"Not only it swaps the Pokémon you place in, but it raises the level of Pokémon in the process!" James said. The Trainers were awestruck.

"So, who wants to go first?" Jessie asked.

"I wanna have a turn first!" One boy said.

"Me first!" Another boy said.

"Don't push. Everyone will have a turn," Jessie said. "If you are ready, please place your Pokéballs in the trading machine." The boys complies with her. "Now, step back." The boys stepped back. "Begin the exchange."

"Exchange start," James said, pressing the button. Inside the machine, Meowth has sent out empty Pokéballs for the two that have been sent in. Meowth chuckled.

"What suckers! They think they're trading their Pokémon for other Pokémon, but all they'll end up with are empty Pokéballs. This is the best scam we ever pulled off," Meowth said. Once the process was completed, Jessie laughed.

"Yes! We have more than enough Pokémon to make our debts disappear," Jessie said.

"Speaking of disappearing, we should get started on that before everyone gets wise to us," James said.

"Not so fast. We should try it for a few more times and see if we've some pay dirt," Jessie said. Just then, a Tauros is seen galloping down their way.

"Tauros, come back!" A boy's voice called out. Jessie goes flying in the air.

Benny managed to find someone who was willing to trade his Pokémon for his Wobbuffet.

"Once you are ready, place your Pokéballs in the trading machine," the man said. Just then, another Trainer walked by with a Hoothoot on his shoulder. The Trainer saw the Hoothoot with interest and he took his Pokéball.

"I just remembered! I wanted to trade my Stantler for a Flying-type Pokémon! Later!" The Trainer said, running off.

"Come back!" Benny called out. He sighed. "So much for making my trade. Jessie lands next to the real trading machine and Lickitung's Pokéball jumps out and lands on the panel. The man pushes the button and the trade is in process as Jessie is unaware.

"Ow, what was that for?" Jessie asked. The trading process has been completed. "I'll take my Pokéball if you don't mind!" Jessie took it. She ran off to join her colleagues.

"Hey, wait, miss, I-" Benny called out. Benny took the Pokéball and wondered what he got.

Back to the couple's tournament, Sora and Kairi were having their next battle as a couple with an Alolan Meowth and an Alolan Persian are their final opponents. Sora and Kairi have sent out Pikachu and Angel to battle them.

"Meowth! Use Fury Swipes!" The girl ordered.

"Persian! Use Fury Swipes as well!" The boy ordered.

Both Alolan cat Pokémon came at the Pokémon with their claws ready to slash them.

"Pikachu! Use Electro Ball!" Sora ordered.

"Angel! Use Swift!" Kairi ordered.

Pikachu and Angel unleashed their attacks and struck the Alolan cat Pokémon on the mark, knocking them both out.

"Meowth and Persian are both unable to battle! Pikachu and Eevee wins! The victory goes to Sora and Kairi!" The referee announced.

"And Sora and Kairi wins this year's couples tournament! Congratulations!" The announcer announced.

Sora and Kairi were given a winner's trophy and stepped out.

"Way to go, you two! I knew you'd win it," Tracey said.

"Thanks, Tracey," Kairi said.

"It was quite a thrill," Sora said.

Just then, an angry mob started to form.

"What's going on?" Kairi asked.

"Some rotten crooks gave us empty Pokéballs when we tried to trade some Pokémon!" One of the Trainers said.

"What? That's terrible!" Kairi said.

"Who would do such a rotten thing?" Tracey asked.

"I think I have an idea who," Sora said. Tracey looked at Sora.

"You do?" Tracey asked.

"Sure do. Time for a little detective work," Sora said.

"Pikachu," Pikachu said.

"Who do you think is doing this?" Kairi asked.

"Who do we know that's low and sleazy enough to use a phony Pokémon trade machine?" Sora asked. Kairi then realized who's he talking about.

"Team Rocket. It makes perfect sense," Kairi said.

"They think they're very clever if they think they're going to get away with this," Tracey said.

"Let's show them the error of their ways once again," Sora said.

As for Team Rocket, it didn't take them long for them to learn that everyone was onto their scheme, so they had to take off as fast as a cheetah can run. They carried the stolen Pokéballs in a huge sack.

"Hurry up, you two!" Jessie said.

"I am hurrying! It's Meowth who's slowing us down!" James said.

"I'm not the one who ended up with the short end of the stick!" Meowth said. They made it to their balloon. But it was torn. "Hey, our balloon!"

"How the hell did this happen?" Jessie asked.

"Gee, I don't know, you tell me," Sora said, approaching them. Gligar is seen sitting on his shoulder. Team Rocket turned around and they growled.

"You!" Team Rocket exclaimed.

"Should have known it was you that was behind this!" Jessie said.

"How did you find our balloon?" James asked. Kairi and Tracey opened up a bag filled with garbage.

"If you three would clean up your act, you wouldn't be so easy to find," Kairi said.

"So, how about you cut your crappy motto and give those Pokéballs back?" Sora asked.

"Crappy motto?!" Jessie growled.

"Our motto isn't crappy!" James added.

"And the only way that you'll be getting these back is when you battle us for them!" Meowth said.

"Just what we had in mind," Sora said, taking out his Pokéballs. "Phanpy, Teddiursa, Natu, Wooper! Go!" His Pokéballs opened and his chosen Pokémon came right out. Kairi took out her Pokéballs and threw them.

"Quilava, Furret, Hoppip, Misdreavus! Go!" Kairi called out. Her chosen Pokémon came on out. Tracey took out two of his Pokéballs and threw them.

"Venonat, Marill! Go!" Tracey called out. Venonat and Marill joined right in.

"Come on and try it!" Jessie said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Lickitung! I choose you!" Her Pokéball opened, but everyone were surprised to see it was Wobbuffet who came out instead.

"Team Rocket had a Wobbuffet?" Sora asked.

"I don't understand. How did this happen?" Jessie asked. She realized that the incident occurred when she was sent flying by the rampaging Tauros and accidentally traded Lickitung for Wobbuffet. "I must have traded my Lickitung for this Wobbuffet. That's just great." James looked up Wobbuffet's information in Team Rocket's Pokémon database.

"According to the database, Wobbuffet is unable to initiate attacks," James said. Jessie groaned.

"What good are you?!" Jessie yelled.

"Teddiursa! Use Metal Claw! Phanpy! Rollout! Natu! Night Shade! Wooper! Water Gun!" Sora ordered.

"Furret! Use Fury Swipes! Misdreavus! Shadow Ball! Hoppip! Bullet Seed! Quilava! Flame Wheel!" Kairi ordered.

"Venonat! Tackle! Marill! Water Gun!" Tracey ordered.

All of the Pokémon launched their attacks and struck the Patient Pokémon on the mark.

"That's one patient Wobbuffet," Meowth commented.

"It's a good thing I'm patient with you! What moves can this blue thing use?!" Jessie exclaimed in anger.

"Um, Wobbuffet can use Counter!" James said.

"Great!" Jessie said.

"Okay, Teddiursa! Metal Claw again!" Sora ordered. Teddiursa ran towards Wobbuffet to land a Metal Claw.

"Use Counter!" Jessie ordered. Wobbuffet's tail raises up while its body gave off an orange aura. Teddiursa's attack bounces off.

"Teddiursa!" Sora called out.

"Leave this to me!" Tracey said. "Venonat! Use Sleep Powder!" Venonat sprinkles Sleep Powder onto Wobbuffet.

"As if that's going to work! Counter again!" Jessie ordered. Wobbuffet lifted its tail again, but Wobbuffet fell asleep when Sleep Powder hit it. "Why didn't Counter work?!"

"Because Counter works better for physical moves, not statuts moves like Sleep Powder," Tracey said. "Okay, Sora. They're all yours!"

"My pleasure, Tracey," Sora said. "Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Pikachu fired Thunderbolt, shocking Team Rocket, resulting in an explosion and sent them all flying. Wobbuffet woke up in the explosion.

"LOOKS LIKE TEAM ROCKET'S BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Team Rocket shouted as they go flying.

"Wobbu!" Wobbuffet said. A star twinkles in the distance.

Sora, Kairi, Tracey, and the Pokémon brought the stolen Pokéballs back to everyone they ripped off. Benny approaches the trio with the newly traded Lickitung.

"Sora, Kairi, Tracey! Hey!" Benny called out.

"Hey, Benny. You traded your Wobbuffet for that Lickitung?" Sora asked.

"Yeah. You wouldn't believe that I traded it to a lady! And I ended up with this great Lickitung!" Benny said.

"Good for you, Benny," Tracey said.

"Looks like we're not enemies anymore, Lickitung." - Pikachu subtitle.

"We hope you have a good life, Lickitung." - Angel subtitle.

"Thanks, you two. I'm wishing the same thing. Especially you, Angel." - Lickitung subtitle.

"Now that you got yourself a Lickitung, all you can do is hope the best for Wobbuffet," Sora said.

"Yeah. I'll miss him," Benny said. He turned around and called out. "MISS, I'LL TAKE GOOD CARE OF LICKITUNG IF YOU TAKE GOOD CARE OF WOBBUFFET!"

Well, Wobbuffet accidentally ends up being a Team Rocket Pokémon, so I can't help but feel sorry for him.

Speaking of which, Team Rocket is hanging by a branch.

"Well, looks like you're one of us now, Wobbuffet," Jessie said.

"A proud member of Team Rocket," Jessie said.

"We'll beat them someday, but until then, you'll have to be patient," Meowth said.

"Wobbuffet," Wobbuffet said.

The branch broke and they all fell to the forest below them. And they fell into a Scyther nest. And we'll leave it there for right now.
