Episode 116: No Big Woop
A few days came and went since the Pokémon swap meet. Since that time, Sora, Kairi, Tracey, and the Pokémon did some training to get them ready for Team Rocket's next move. Sora got Wynaut out to train him better. Tracey had his Marill out.
"Okay, Tracey. You ready to go?" Sora asked.
"Ready as I'll ever be," Tracey said.
"Okay, Wynaut! Be ready," Sora said.
"Wynaut!" Wynaut said.
"Okay, Marill! Use Water Gun!" Tracey ordered. Marill fired Water Gun at the Bright Pokémon.
"Wynaut! Use Mirror Coat!" Sora ordered. Wynaut's body became surrounded by a rainbow aura and it sends Water Gun right back at Marill.
"Marill! Use Aqua Tail!" Tracey ordered. Marill swings his tail around like a mace as the ball-like tip emits water. Marill sends his tail at Wynaut.
"Use Counter!" Sora ordered. Wynaut's body is surrounded by an orange aura and sends Aqua Tail back at Marill, landing a hit. "Good work, Wynaut. Your Counter and Mirror Coat are improving, nicely."
"Wynaut," Wynaut said.
Over to Kairi, she had both Mareep and Hoppip out to spare with each other.
"Okay, Mareep! Use Signal Beam! Hoppip! Use Bounce to dodge!" Kairi ordered. Mareep fired Signal Beam as Hoppip jumped high in the air to dodge. Hoppip then starts to come down at Mareep. "Dodge it, Mareep! Hurry!" The Wool Pokémon tried to dodge, but Hoppip came too fast for her to dodge. "Are you okay?"
"Reep," Mareep bleated.
"Hoppip," Hoppip replied.
"That's good. It looks like we'll have to work on your dodges a whole lot more," Mareep said. Angel hears something.
"Eevee?" Angel asked. She was worried it might be a Heartless coming out, but it turns out to be a bipedal, beagle-like Pokémon with white and brown fur. It has a long tail with an end resembling a paintbrush. This paintbrush oozes with paint. There is a mark on the Pokémon's back. It also has a round structure on its head with a point that resembles a beret. It has floppy, brown ears and a brown collar on its neck. The rings encircling its eyes are also brown, as are its eyelids. Its arms have two brown bands, and its legs have only one. Each of its limbs has three digits. It looked very young. It was a relief because she was afraid it was a Heartless. "Eevee, vee." Kairi turned to Angel.
"What's the matter, Angel? You hear something?" Kairi asked. She saw the Pokémon. "Who's that Pokémon?" She took out her Pokédex and scanned it. The Pokémon on the Pokédex is much older than the one she's looking at.
Smeargle, the Painter Pokémon
Type: Normal
Smeargle marks the boundaries of its territory using a body fluid that leaks out from the tip of its tail. Over 5,000 different marks left by this Pokémon have been found.
"Different than the one on the Pokédex. Must be a baby," Kairi said. "Must not be old enough to be on his own." She turned to Angel. "Okay, Angel, you're in."
"Vee," Angel nodded. She stood in front of Smeargle. "Use Headbutt!" Angel lands a Headbutt into Smeargle. Smeargle gets back up and grabs his tail and waves it around, causing the image of a pencil to circle around Angel while leaving behind a trail of pink sparkles. Smeargle then comes at Angel and lands a Headbutt.
"What was that?" Kairi asked. She looked up the move Smeargle just used on her Pokédex.
Sketch, a non-damaging Normal-type move. It allows the user to permanently learn the last move that was used. Smeargle is the only known Pokémon with this move.
"So, that's what it is. Sketch," Kairi said. "Angel! Use Iron Tail!" Angel jumped up and swung her tail as Smeargle came at Angel with Headbutt. Angel lands a hit into Smeargle, overpowering him. Kairi saw that he wasn't just young, but he was also inexperienced in battle. He came at Angel again, but tripped. Kairi thought it would be a good idea to use the Level Ball Kurt has made for her. She took out the Level Ball and threw it. Smeargle flows inside it. The Level Ball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Level Ball to confirm the catch. She walked over to the Level Ball and picked it up. "I used my Apricorn Pokéball."
"Eevee, vee," Angel said. She turned to Mareep and Hoppip with a smile. "I hope you two paid close attention."
"Reep," Mareep said.
"Hoppip," Hoppip said.
"Alright, let's try again. Let's try a different approach this time. Hoppip, try a Tackle this time, and Mareep, you try to dodge it. Let's get started," Kairi said. Hoppip dashed at Mareep with a Tackle. Mareep tried to dodge, but she got hit hard.
"Pip," Hoppip said.
"I know you didn't mean to hurt Mareep, Hoppip," Kairi said. She turned to Mareep. "Maybe Angel and I should show you how it's done." Mareep looked at the ground, saddened. She turned to Angel. "Okay, Angel, won't you demonstrate dodging?"
"Eevee," Angel said with a nod.
"Hoppip! Use Tackle! Angel, you dodge! Ready, go!" Kairi called out. Hoppip charges at Angel with a Tackle, but the female Eevee just dodges just by running. Mareep was awestruck by how fast she moved. "Now, use Bullet Seed!" Hoppip fired Bullet Seed at Angel. "Okay, Angel! Dodge it!" Angel dodges Hoppip's Bullet Seed. "That was great!"
"Hoppip, Hoppip, Hoppip!" Hoppip said as she hopped up and down. She started to evolve. Kairi and her other Pokémon were surprised to see the sudden evolution.
"Hoppip, you're evolving!" Kairi said.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped.
Hoppip has evolved into a plant Pokémon that has a round, green body with stubby arms, feet, and tail. It has large, flat ears on the sides of its head and oval, red eyes with no pupils. On top of its head is a yellow bloom with a white center. Kairi took out her Pokédex and scanned her newly evolved Pokémon.
Skiploom, the Cottonweed Pokémon
The evolved form of Hoppip
Type: Grass/Flying
Skiploom's flower blossoms when the temperature rises above 64 degrees Fahrenheit. How much the flower opens depends on the temperature. For that reason, this Pokémon is sometimes used as a thermometer.
"You have a very pretty flower, Skiploom. Sora and Tracey will be amazed when they see you," Kairi said.
"Skiploom," the newly evolved Skiploom said.
"Come on, let's go show them right now," Kairi said as she and her Pokémon went back to meet with the boys.
Speaking of which, Sora had sent out Natu this time, against Marill.
"Marill! Use Water Gun!" Tracey ordered. Marill fired Water Gun at the Tiny Bird Pokémon.
"Use Teleport to dodge it!" Sora ordered. Natu teleports out of the way just in time. "Use Night Shade!" Natu fired Night Shade at the Aqua Mouse Pokémon.
"Quick, Marill! Dodge it!" Tracey ordered. Marill dodges Natu's Night Shade.
"Move in with Peck!" Sora ordered. Natu came at Marill with a Peck.
"Use Tackle!" Tracey ordered. Marill charges at Natu and lands a hit. Natu got back up pretty quick. "Use Water Gun!" Marill fired Water Gun at Natu, landing a hit before Sora could react.
"Nicely done," Sora said.
"Thanks, Sora," Tracey said.
"Let's make this really count!" Sora said.
"If that's what you want! Marill! Use Water Gun!" Tracey ordered.
"Natu! Use Night Shade!" Sora ordered.
Natu and Marill prepared to fire when Madame Muchmoney's Snubbull got in their path. Sora yelped.
"Natu! Turn to right!" Sora called out.
"Marill! You turn to your right!" Tracey called out.
Natu and Marill fired their attacks in the directions they were told and they struck a tree. An explosion occurred.
Hearing the explosion, Riku, Naminé, and Eevee start running, fearing it might be the Heartless.
"Here we go again!" Riku said, summoning his Braveheart.
"Eevee!" Eevee said.
Back with Sora and Tracey, Snubbull ran off through the woods again. Sora saw the ribbons Snubbull was wearing.
"Where did that Snubbull come from?" Tracey asked.
"I know that Snubbull," Sora said.
"Sora!" Kairi called out. Sora and Tracey turned to see Kairi with a worried look on her face. She and her Pokémon came running. "What happened?"
"Just a little near-accident," Sora said. Kairi was confused.
"Near-accident?" Kairi asked.
"Sora and I were sparring when a Snubbull suddenly appeared and we redirected Night Shade and Water Gun before Marill and Natu could hit it," Tracey said.
"And would you believe that it was the same Snubbull we met at that rich lady's house?" Sora asked. Kairi tilted her head.
"Madame Muchmoney's Snubbull? Really?" Kairi asked.
"Yeah. She just came out of nowhere," Sora said.
"How did you know it was that one Snubbull and not a wild Snubbull?" Kairi asked.
"I saw the pink ribbons on her. No way I'd mistake those," Sora said.
"If that Snubbull has a home, then why is she all the way out here?" Tracey asked.
"I don't have the slightest idea," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said. Sora finally noticed Skiploom with her. He almost jumped as high as a Hoppip.
"Hey, is that Hoppip?!" Sora exclaimed.
"Yes. She evolved into a Skiploom," Kairi said.
"Skiploom," Skiploom said.
"Look at that. That flower is incredibly healthy-looking," Tracey said.
"How did this happen?" Sora asked.
"I was training with her and Mareep. Mareep was having trouble dodging, but I was working with her on that. The training must have caused Hoppip to evolve," Kairi said.
"Not really surprising since you've been training your Pokémon hard," Tracey said.
"Sora!" A familiar voice called out. Sora, Kairi, Tracey, and the Pokémon saw Riku, Naminé, and Eevee come running.
"Riku!" Sora said.
"What happened? Did the Heartless attack?" Riku asked.
"You can put that away, Riku. There are no Heartless," Sora said.
"Really?" Riku asked.
"Really. Just an incident involving a Snubbull," Sora said.
"A Snubbull?" Riku asked.
"What caused the explosion we just heard?" Naminé asked.
"That was just us. That Snubbull would have been hit if we didn't redirect our attacks," Tracey said.
"So, I got my Keyblade ready for nothing. That's a relief," Riku said, dismissing it.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"So, what's new with you?" Riku asked.
"Funny you should ask," Sora said. Sora took in a deep breath. Okay, there's a demon calling himself Trickster, and he's using monsters that are not Heartless or Nobodies. Also, he's planning to wipe out the human race and every Pokémon on the planet, but we don't know how, where, or when he'll do it, so we've been keeping our eyes open for any one of those signs. Also, Organization XIII is on Trickster's list since they still have their human appearances, so the Organization would try to figure that out, too." Riku, Naminé, and Eevee were shocked to hear it.
"Riku, didn't we run into something like that a few days ago?" Naminé asked.
"We did. They were goblins that attacked us. I thought they were Heartless at first, but they didn't have the Heartless symbol or the yellow eyes the Heartless had," Riku said.
"So, you met them?" Sora asked.
"Yeah. I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it. When I struck them down, green fire came out of them," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
Just then, they felt air being pulled. Sora summoned his Keyblade and used it to stab the ground.
"Pikachu, grab on!" Sora said.
"Pika!" Pikachu said, grabbing Sora. Angel, Togepi, Natu, Mareep, and Skiploom did the same thing. Tracey grabbed Marill as Riku grabbed Eevee. Naminé held her egg closely as Kairi held her ground. Riku searches for the source of the suction.
"Eevee! Shadow Ball straight ahead!" Riku ordered. Eevee fired Shadow straight ahead and an explosion occurred. The suction ceases. "Great job, Eevee."
"What was that?" Tracey asked. Familiar laughter is heard.
"Prepare for trouble, you are going to pay!" Jessie as Team Rocket floats in their balloon.
"Make it double, you ruined our day!" James said with a rhyme.
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all peoples within our nation!"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love."
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!"
"Surrender now or prepare to fight!" Wobbuffet pops up.
"Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet said, but Meowth pushes him aside.
"Who said you can steal my thunder?!" Meowth yelled. "I mean, Meowth! That's right!"
"Mime, Mime!"
"Team Rocket, should have known!" Sora said.
"They got a new Pokémon?" Naminé asked.
"Not you losers again," Riku said.
"Eevee!" Eevee said.
"You destroyed our new vacuum! It was very expensive!" Jessie said.
"James had to sell his entire bottle cap collection to pay for it," Meowth said.
"All those bottle caps weren't easy to come by! They were so very rare!" James cried.
"Mime, Mime," Mime Jr said.
"Any idea what he's talking about?" Tracey asked.
"You're asking me?" Sora asked, shrugging his shoulders. Team Rocket lowers their balloon.
"Now, be good little twerps and just hand over Pikachu," Jessie said.
"Not on your life!" Sora said. Riku took out a Pokéball as well.
"You want Pikachu, then battle us for him," Riku said. He threw his Pokéball. "Larvitar! Go!" His Pokéball opened and a small, green reptilian Pokémon with rocky skin. It has a blunt spike on top of its head, a short, rounded snout, and triangular, black markings below and on the upper corners of its red eyes. Red scales cover its diamond-shaped belly, and there are several small holes in its body. Its short arms lack fingers, while its feet have a single toenail each. It has a tail with a conical center surrounded by a ring of plate-like scales, causing it to resemble a tunnel-boring machine. Sora was amazed by the new Pokémon he saw.
"A Larvitar?" Sora asked, taking out his Pokédex and scanned it.
Larvitar, the Rock Skin Pokémon
Type: Rock/Ground
It feeds on soil. After it has eaten a large mountain, it will fall asleep so it can grow.
"Caught Larvitar at a cave a few days back," Riku said.
"Nice," Sora said. Sora turned to Natu. "Join in, Natu!" The Tiny Bird Pokémon fluttered in.
"Mareep, you join too!" Kairi said. Mareep joins Natu and Larvitar. Jessie took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Arbok! I choose you!" Jessie called out. Her Pokéball opened and Arbok hisses. James took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Weezing! Go!" James called out. Weezing came on out alongside Arbok.
"Arbok! Use Poison Sting!" Jessie ordered. Arbok fired Poison Sting at the three Pokémon.
"Weezing! Use Sludge Bomb!" James ordered. Weezing spews Sludge Bomb from his mouths.
"Larvitar! Use Sandstorm!" Riku ordered. Larvitar whips up a sandstorm and it blows Poison Sting and Sludge Bomb.
"Mareep! Use Signal Beam!" Kairi ordered.
"Natu! Use Night Shade!" Sora ordered.
Natu and Mareep fired their attacks at the Team Rocket Pokémon.
"Wobbuffet! Use Counter!" Jessie ordered. Wobbuffet's tail raises up while his body gave off an orange aura and sends Signal Beam and Night Shade back.
"Block!" Sora and Kairi ordered. Natu and Mareep uses Signal Beam and Night Shade to block their own attacks.
"That didn't work," Sora said.
"Well, Wobbuffet's Counter is going to make it hard for us," Kairi said.
"Well, I guess you're useful after all, Wobbuffet," Jessie said.
"Wobbuffet," Wobbuffet said.
"Whenever the twerps sends out an attack, we'll just send it right back," Jessie said.
"What if they use moves like Sleep Powder or Stun Spore?" James asked.
"Wobbuffet won't reflect those," Meowth said.
"Who cares? With Wobbuffet by my side, we can't lose!" Jessie said, laughing.
"She didn't think that in the last chapter," Meowth said.
"It's best not to bring that up," James said.
"Larvitar! Use Sandstorm again!" Riku ordered. Larvitar blew another Sandstorm at Team Rocket again. The sand struck Team Rocket on the spot before they could react.
"I can't see!" James yelled.
"Me neither!" Meowth yelled.
"Do something, Wobbuffet!" Jessie yelled.
"Wobbu?" Wobbuffet asked.
"Mareep! Use Thunder Shock!" Kairi ordered Mareep fired Thunder Shock at Team Rocket, shocking them.
"Weezing! Use Double Hit!" James ordered. Weezing charges at Mareep. The memory of seeing Angel dodging started to come in, so Angel dodges Weezing's Double Hit.
"Mareep! Use Thunder Shock!" Kairi ordered. Mareep unleashed Thunder Shock at Weezing, shocking him. Weezing fell to the ground, beaten. Mareep then started to evolve. "Flaaffy!"
"Flaaffy!" The newly evolved Flaaffy said. Jessie growled.
"Why is it that the twerps keeps on getting stronger every time their Pokémon evolves! It's totally unacceptable and unforgivable!" Jessie yelled.
"Okay, Flaaffy, how about we send them packing?" Kairi asked.
"Flaaffy," Flaaffy agreed. "Use Thunderbolt!" Flaaffy unleashed Thunderbolt, shocking Team Rocket on the mark. Their balloon explodes and they're sent flying once again.
"Those twerps beat us again!" Jessie exclaimed.
"What else is new?" Meowth asked.
"I think it'll be best if we took a couple of chapters off to rethink our strategy," James said.
"Mime, Mime," Mime Jr said.
"TEAM ROCKET'S BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Team Rocket exclaimed as they go flying in the sky.
"Wobbu!" Wobbuffet said as a star twinkles in the distance.
"Serves them right," Naminé said. The egg starts to move around very violently. "Oh!" Everyone all looked at Naminé.
"What's wrong?" Sora asked.
"My egg! My egg is hatching!" Naminé said. Everyone gathers around and witnesses the egg hatching. The egg bursts apart to reveal an Azurill. The newborn Azurill looked up to Naminé with a smile. "Hello there, little one. It's so very nice to meet you!"
"Azu, Azu, Azu!" The newborn Azurill chirped.
"Oh, she's so cute!" Kairi cooed.
"She sure is. Reminds me of the Azurill I had before she evolved," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
Naminé took out a silver ribbon and wraps it on Azurill's tail.
"There you go! You look adorable!" Naminé said.
"Azurill," Azurill chirped.
Naminé beamed and she cooed her newborn Pokémon. Azurill also cooed from her gentle touch.
A couple of days had passed since Naminé's egg had hatched into an Azurill. With the help of Kairi and the rest, Naminé had taken good care of Azurill. The group took a break for some lunch, Naminé feeds Azurill with a bottle.
"Drink up, Azurill. Don't drink too fast or you'll have a tummy ache," Naminé said feeding Azurill.
Riku smiled at the sight of Naminé and Azurill bonding. He was happy to see his girlfriend with a Pokémon of her own. Eevee was even affected by this. Azurill has shown to like Eevee since day one. Togepi and Azurill has formed a friendship since knowing each other for a short time.
"How does it feel to see your girlfriend with her own Pokémon?" Sora asked.
"It's good to see her happy for one thing. Ever since that little Azurill hatched Naminé had spent lots of time with her. But, I can only say that I'm a little jealous," Riku admitted. "How did you deal with Kairi with her own Pokémon when she first got Togepi?"
Sora thought for a moment to think of an answer to give him.
"I guess you can say that I was just happy to see Kairi with Togepu. I was worried about how Kairi will ending up loving Togepi more then she would love me, but it kinda sounded silly to being jealous of a Pokémon," Sora explained. "Seeing how Kairi took care of Togepi, I could see that Kairi will be a great mom when she has kids of her own. The same can be said when she's with Seth. I liked seeing her with that little guy." Riku understood what he meant.
Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Tracey, and the Pokémon made their way through the forest when they spotted something just down the hill from them.
"Hey, look at that, guys," Kairi said noticing a small building down from them.
"Wow, that looks like such a cute little place," Naminé said.
"What do you think they use that building for?" Tracey asked.
"I really don't have a clue," Riku said.
"But,it does look interesting," Tracey said, stroking his chin. Unknown to the group, a Wooper runs up a tree and jumps down to the back of Sora's jumpsuit.
"WHOA!" Sora yelped. "Something just jumped on my neck! Something cold and wet just jumped on my neck! Get it off! Get it off!" Sora flailed around and slips down the hill with a small blue tail sticking out.
"Sora!" Kairi called out.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said, sliding down after him.
"We better go after him before he gets hurt," Tracey suggested.
"Or worse," Naminé said. Kairi, Riku, Tracey, Naminé, and the Pokémon, followed him down the hill.
Down the hill a woman with her blue hair in a teacher's uniform is addressing a group of Wooper.
"Okay class. I hope everybody is ready to learn a lot today," the teacher said. Sora's scream is heard. "What was tha-?!" She turned just in time to see Sora laying on the ground in front of her.
"That is a definently a three for style for that landing," Sora groaned as a Wooper pops out of his jumpsuit.
"Wooper!" The Wooper chirped.
The woman gasped at the sight of Sora laying down in pain, "Oh my goodness!" She rushed over to the boy taking the Wooper off of him. "That was quite a fall. I hope you're alright!"
"I'm fine. I took worse falls than that," Sora said.
"I'm just glad you're not seriously hurt. I was worried my Wooper may have gotten you injured. Sometimes he gets a little mischievous and causes all kinds of trouble," the woman said.
"Wooper?" Sora asked as he was getting up and sees the Wooper in her arms. "Oh, so you're what's the fuss is about." Sora laughed as he patted the little amphibious Pokémon on the head. "Anyway, it's really okay. Just about anything could happen when you least expect it."
"I'm so glad to hear that you're not mad," the woman said. Just then, Kairi, Pikachu, Riku, Naminé, Tracey, and the Pokémon had slid down to see Sora was okay. Azurill enjoyed the ride she had while in Naminé's arms.
"You okay, Sora?" Kairi asked in concern.
"I'm fine. I just found out what caused the fall," Sora said, pointing to the Wooper in her arms.
"So, it was just a Wooper," Naminé said.
"Oh, so cute," Kairi cooed.
"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Are these your friends?" The woman asked.
"Yes they are," Sora said. "And we're travelling together."
"So you're Pokémon Trainers, huh?" The teacher asked. "I do see many trainers pass by here from time to time. My name is Olesia."
"My name is Sora. And the girl with the Togepi is my girlfriend Kairi, and the Eevee with the pink bow is Angel," Sora introduced.
"Nice to meet you," Kairi said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu greeted.
"Eevee," Angel greeted.
"Togepi," Togepi also greeted.
"I'm Riku. And the girl with the Azurill is my girlfriend Naminé," Riku introduced.
"Hello Olesia," Naminé greeted.
"Eevee," Eevee chirped.
"Azurill!" Azurill chirped.
"I hope you don't mind me asking, but what place is this?" Tracey asked.
"Oh, this is a preschool just for Wooper," Olesia said.
"A preschool just for Wooper?" Sora asked.
"That explains why the building looks so cute," Naminé said.
Olesia places the Wooper down and it shows a heart-shaped mark on its torso. He jumps back in the water along with the other Wooper. Some of them had smaller two branches on their purple antenna's on their heads.
"Wooper! Wooper. Wooper. Wooper," the Wooper said.
"Why is there a preschool for Wooper?" Riku asked.
"I loved Wooper ever since I was a little girl. When I was a teenager, I used to babysit them all the time. Then one day, I found this pond and figued it to be the perfect place to raise them. Pretty soon, the Wooper just started coming and I ended up building up this preschool," Olesia said.
"Wooper!" The Wooper said.
"They're just so very cute," Kairi cooed again. "They really love it here. I would too if I was a Wooper."
"I guess all of us would," Riku said.
"I just can't explain it, but the Wooper just give me a good feeling," Olesia said.
"I know what you mean. In fact, I have a Wooper of my own," Sora said, taking out his Pokéball and opens it. His Wooper came right out.
"Oh, your Wooper is adorable. He looks so happy and healthy," Olesia said.
"Thanks," Sora said.
"So, could we see what you teach the Wooper," Tracey said.
"I'll show you right now," Olesia said.
Kairi and Naminé places Togepi and Azurill down to the ground.
"Now pay attention, Togepi and maybe you'll learn something too," Kairi said.
"You too Azurill," Naminé said.
"Toge, Toge, Togepi!" Togepi chirped.
"Azu, Azu, Azurill!" Azurill chirped.
"Wooper! Wooper, Woop!" The Wooper chirped.
Olesia takes out a small tambourine, "Okay class! t's time for our recess!" She plays the tambourine and the Wooper starts to chant along with the beat of the music performed by the little instrument.
"Isn't that just adorable?" Naminé gushed.
"Yeah. It's almost like they're singing," Sora said.
"The one with the heart-shaped mark is the cutest one," Naminé said.
Togepi and Azurill moves with the rhythm the same way as they Wooper. Kairi and Naminé just saw how cute it is seeing them enjoy it.
Elsewhere, two hikers are wondering the woods looking for some food growing around. One of the hikers spotted a mushroom next to a tree.
"Hey! A mushroom! And a big one too!" The hiker plucked the mushroom getting ready to eat it.
"Barry! Wait! Don't eat that one!" The second hiker called out.
"Why not?" Barry asked.
"Because that one looks poisonous! I can tell just by looking at the coloring on it," the second hiker said. Barry winced at the thought realizing what he almost did tossing the mushroom.
"Thanks a lot Morton. You just saved my life you did," Barry said. "But why do we have scrounge around for acorns and mushrooms like a hungry Zigzagoon?"
"Because pop said we have to learn the ways of nature if we're going to be real hikers like dad was. And besides, it just makes the experience even more fun," Morton said.
"It'll be even more fun if I had something in my stomach instead of looking for lunch before we actually eat some lunch," Barry said.
"Stop complaining. We'll have to search for non-poisonous mushrooms and some berries," Morton said. "Those mushrooms aren't going to find themselves."
"Yeah, yeah," Barry said as he went back to foraging.
Barry grumbled as the two brothers went back to foraging for food like wild Pokémon.
Back to the preeschool, the group were offered some tea and cookies made my Olesia herself.
"The Wooper already had their snack, so I thought maybe you could all like one too," Olesia said.
"That's very nice of you," Tracey said. "And these cookies do look delicious." Tracey takes one of them.
"These taste great," Sora said.
"And the tea is just as good," Kairi said taking a sip.
"Thank you. That's very nice of you," Olesia said. She hears her phone ringing. She answeres the phone, "Hello." Sora imagined how good the cookies Kairi baked for him will taste. He imagined her holding out a bagful of cookies and Sora was scarfing them down like a Munchlax. She smiles in delight seeing her boyfriend enjoying them so much.
"Man, those cookies will hit the spot," Sora said in his thoughts.
"Oh no!" Olesia gasped, grabbing the attention of the group. "That is just terrible! What did the doctor say?" She listened. "That's good. Do you need me to come over there and take care of anything for you?" She listened again. "Well, if you don't want me to, I could come over later. Take care of yourself." She hanged up the phone.
"What was that about?" Kairi asked.
"That was my mom. She lives in the next town and she fell down the stairs and broke her leg," Olesia explained.
Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, and Tracey gasped.
"How is your mom? Is she doing okay?" Tracey asked, concerned.
"She says she's just fine and her leg's mending, but I know my mother, she's acting like everything is okay just so I wouldn't worry," Olesia said. "But I am." She had a worried look on her face. "There is no one I can call who lives in her neighborhood, so I should go and see how she's doing for myself. But, I can't just leave the Wooper here all by themselves."
The group all knew it was quite a predicament. Sora looked among his friends and they all nodded in agreement to take care of the Wooper while she's gone.
"We can keep an eye on them until you get back," Sora volunteered.
"Oh, I don't know," Olesia said.
"It's the least we can do," Sora said.
"Sora's right. You have been so hospitable towards us, so it wouldn't be right if we just take off and leave them here alone. These little ones will be in our good hands until you come back from your mom's," Kairi said.
"Thank you so very much," Olesia said with gratitude. "I won't be gone for very long." She hopped on her motorcycle to ride off to see her mother. She hands Riku a handbook on Wooper care. "Everything you need to know about taking care of the Wooper is right there in that little book."
"No problem," Riku said.
"Thank you very much," Olesia said. "Bye you guys! I'll be back as soon as I can!" She rode off.
The group waves goodbye to Olesia as she rode off.
"It's not like they're going to be any trouble, right?" Sora asked. "I mean, what could be possibly be hard about taking care of Wooper? I mean it's not like they're going to any trouble or anything."
"Sora's right. Everything we need to know is this little book," Riku said.
Everyone was going over the schedule about how to deal with Wooper, but as soon as they came back to the pond, they had found that all of the Wooper were gone.
"Oh no! Where did they go?!" Sora exclaimed.
"Everybody, relax. I'm sure they haven't gone too far," Tracey said.
"Okay. If we just keep our cool, we can find them," Sora said.
"But the question is where could they have gone?" Naminé asked.
"Azurill," Azurill chirped.
Everyone was starting to look into it, when Pikachu and Eevee spotted some water coming out of the pond and they knew they had to come out and walk somewhere.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu called out.
"Eevee, vee!" Angel also called out.
"Eevee, Ee!" Eevee also called out.
"What is it, Pikachu?" Sora asked.
"What did you find, Eevee?" Riku asked.
"Tell us, Angel," Kairi said.
Pikachu, Angel, and Eevee pointed to the water coming out the pond.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"It must be a trail. We're in luck," Sora said. "The Wooper must have left these tracks." The saw the trail was leading them inside the building.
"And it's leading to the preschool," Tracey said.
"Then let's follow it," Riku said.
"Right," Kairi said.
Everyone headed to the preschool building and all saw the Wooper inside the kitchen making bit of a mess, a couple of them were fighting over a bag of cookies. Even Sora's Wooper was caught in the mix.
"We gotta get them out before they wreck the place," Naminé said. Riku opened the book and read.
"Wooper will likely behave if you show them affection and food," Riku read.
"Food! Right!" Sora said taking out a piece of Pokémon food and holding it out to the Wooper. "Kairi's Pokémon food to the rescue!" Sora dangled the food around. "Hey, Wooper! Over here!" That grabbed the Wooper's attention. "That's right, little guys and girls. Come and get the yummy food from uncle Sora." The Wooper walked over to the Pokémon trainer. "That's right. Come on here and have the yummy food." The one with the heart-shaped mark starts to lick his face. Sora chuckled as the tongue starts to tickle his face. "That tickles. That's right. Come this way." Before he knew it, the Wooper all dog piled on him and he struggles to get out.
Sora got out from under the Wooper covered with their saliva panting as he got some air back in his lungs.
"For a minute there, those Wooper looked like they were going to eat you, Sora," Riku said.
"For a few seconds that would have been ugly," Sora said. Kairi looked over to the small book and found something.
"Here's something," Kairi said, reading the book. "Wooper will obey your instructions more easily if you use a tambourine."
"Just like when Olesia played it earlier," Tracey pointed out.
"The tambourine is one of my favorite instruments. I used to play with it all the time when I was little," Kairi said. She took the the little intrument and starts playing it. Togepi waves his little arms along with the beat. "Jingle, jangle, jingle, jangle, jingle, jangle." The Wooper used their antennas to block out the sound. Kairi was confused by this.
"They must not like the way you're playing it, Kairi," Tracey said.
"I don't get why," Kairi said, dropping the tambourine. Togepi picks it up in his little hands. "I must be out of practice." Togepi starts playing it getting the Wooper's attention.
"Tog, Toge, Toge, Toge, Tog, Toge, Tog, Toge, Toge, Toge, Toge, Toge, Tog," Togepi said playing the tambourine.
"Woop, Wooper, Woop, Wooper, Per, Woop! Wooper, Woop, Wooper, Woop, Wooper, Woop!" The Wooper chanted along with the baby Pokémon. Togepi led the Wooper back to the pond like the pied piper.
"Togepi is way better than I am," Kairi said.
"Pokémon must have a much better sense of Pokémon rhythm, Kairi," Tracey said.
Kairi hung her head in defeat. Sora placed his hand on her shoulder.
"Don't feel bad, Kairi. I thought you played good," Sora said in comforting matter. She turns her head to glare at him. Sora flinched. "I'm saying it because it's true, not because you know it's what you wanna hear." Sora starts letting off sweat.
Togepi managed to lead all the Wooper back to the pond, but Tracey quickly noticed something was a tad off.
"Togepi did it. They're back in the pond," Riku said.
"Eevee, Vve!" Eevee chirped.
"Wait a minute, guys. I think we're missing one," Tracey said.
The rest of the group saw that Tracey was right when they noticed the Wooper with the heart-shaped mark is missing.
"Tracey right! That one Wooper is still gone!" Riku said.
"Where did he go?" Kairi asked.
"He must have snuck out when Kairi was playing the tambourine," Sora guessed.
"He couldn't gone far. He might be still be inside the preschool building," Naminé guessed.
"That's the first place we should check," Tracey said.
"Right. Let's get started," Riku said. Sora, Kairi, Naminé, and Tracey went inside while Riku was busy entertaining the Wooper. Eevee stayed with his Trainer to keep an eye on Togepi and Azurill.
Tracey went on ahead to check. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Naminé checked the kitchen. They heard a sound of something falling in the kitchen and they went to the source. It was that one Wooper.
"There you are," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Wooper," the Wooper said.
"Now just stay right there like a good Wooper," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"We can get you back in the nice pond with all your friends. Won't that be neat?" Naminé asked. Wooper bounced out the sink while the three humans, Pikachu, and Angel chased Wooper all over the kitchen. Wooper went by a flower pot, knocking it over. Sora manages to catch it before it could hit the ground. Wooper hopped over to some stacked plates making them wobble around. Kairi manages to keep the stack from falling over.
Two plates fall from the top, but Naminé dives in to catch the plates keeping them from shattering. Wooper hops over to some glass cups and knocks a couple of them over. Sora rushes over and catches the glass cups before they shattered. Sora gave a sigh of relief.
"Pikachu! Follow that Wooper!" Sora called out. Pikachu chased oafter Wooper not wanting him to cause anymore trouble. Wooper knocks over some knives and forks. Pikachu skidded to a stop since he didn't want to be sliced into ribbons. Pikachu manages to faint since it was a close shave. "You okay?"
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Naminé came outside to look for the little Wooper.
"Wooper! Wooper! Where are you?" Kairi called out.
"Where did he go?" Naminé asked.
"He should be around here some-AAH!" Sora screamed as he pointed at the sight of Wooper hopping up the cliff.
"How did he get all the way up there?" Kairi asked.
"We can figure that out later. We have to get Wooper down from there before he hurts himself!" Sora said.
"Sora's right. Olesia trusted us to take care of them," Naminé said.
Tracey stepped outside and they saw Riku is doing a much better job at keeping the Wooper in the pond than expected. Togepi and Azurill danced along the Wooper to the beat of Riku's playing.
Sora, Kairi, Naminé, Pikachu, and Angel climbed up after the little Wooper. Naminé slips before she Sora grabbed her by the hand.
"Naminé! Hang on!" Sora called out.
"Pikachu, Pi!" Pikachu also called out.
"Are you okay, Naminé?" Kairi asked concerned.
"I'm fine," Naminé said, climbing back up. Wooper manges to clmb to the top. "That little Wooper isn't so cute anymore."
"What was that about me saying that what kind of trouble they could get into?" Sora asked, sarcastically. Wooper runs into the woods as Pikachu manages to climb up first and pursue the little Wooper.
"Pika! Pika, Pika!" Pikachu said running after the Water Fish Pokémon.
"Come on! He's getting away!" Sora said.
"Wooper! Don't run away!" Kairi called out running along Sora. Naminé climbs up and chases him as well. Wooper hops over to an old plank bridge with the three kids and Pikachu catching up to them.
"Look! There's Wooper!" Naminé said.
"Better be careful with this bridge, because it might collapse at any moment," Sora said. The girls nodded in agreement as they all got on the rickety old bridge being careful not cause any of the planks to break. Once of the planks falls making Sora shake.
"Be careful, Sora," Kairi said. The Wooper hops over the group. "Hey, Wooper. I have a good idea. How about we go back to the pond. What do you say?" Wooper hops over to Kairi thinking she had won over the Wooper, but he just hops on the planks thinking it was a game. "No, Wooper, stop! That's dangerous!" The rope started to break apart.
"Pikachu! Catch that Wooper before he gets away!" Sora said as the bridge is shaking.
Pikachu tries to stop Wooper from bouncing further, but the little Pokémon slips out Pikachu's hold and ran across the rope.
"Woop, Woop, Wooper, per, per, per," Wooper said.
"Wooper! Get down from there!" Sora called out.
"You're going to fall!" Naminé said. Wooper made it to the end of the bridge and ran into the woods.
"At least Wooper made it out okay," Sora said.
"But that little Wooper doesn't care what happens to us," Kairi said.
"We have to catch him before he gets away," Sora said.
"But the bridge will fall apart if we run for it," Naminé argued.
"It's falling apart anyway!" Sora argued back.
"Right. Point taken," Naminé said.
Kairi Pikachu, and Angel ran ahead while Sora and Naminé ran behind them making the bridge collapse. Sora and Naminé manages to grab the rope still hanging on.
"Sora! Naminé! Are you two okay?" Kairi asked in concern.
"We're fine," Sora said. "Don't worry about us. You, Pikachu, Angel just run ahead and catch that Wooper!"
"Okay!" Kairi nodded.
"Pika!" Pikachu also nodded.
"Eevee," Angel said. Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel ran ahead while Sora and Naminé climbed up the rope to catch up with them.
"Just hold on, Naminé," Sora said.
"I'm holding on as best as I can," Naminé said. "Just you do the same." Sora nods as continued to climb.
Sora manages to climb up first and he grabs hold of Naminé just as soon she was within reach.
"You doing okay?" Sora asked.
"Yes, I am," Naminé said. "How about you?"
"Doing just fine. I just wouldn't be able to show my face around Riku if something happened to you," Sora said. Both Sora and Naminé went off to join Kairi to search for the missing Wooper.
Over to the hikers, Barry manages to get the water needed to make a mushroom soup to boil.
"This mushroom soup isn't going to have that much flavor without some mushrooms," Barry said. "I just hope there aren't that much poison mushrooms around here." He turns to his right and saw Wooper thinking it was a mushroom. "Wow! That is an incredible mushroom! A blue mushroom is going to make a fine soup!" Barry ran towards Wooper and he slips out of the hiker's hold. "What the? Where did it go?"
"Where did what go?" Morton asked coming back with a hanful of mushrooms.
"I just saw a huge blue mushroom right here," Barry said. "And when I went over to grab it, it was gone."
"Where?" Morton asked, placing the mushrooms down. Wooper went over to the mushrooms and scarffed them down fast. Once Wooper had finished the last mushroom, he took off into the woods. "Are you sure it was a mushroom?"
"I was certain it was," Barry said.
"Well, mushrooms don't grow any legs and walk off," Morton said. "Oh, nuts to this. Let's just settle with what we got and make some- AAH!"
"Make some-Aah?" Barry asked, confused.
"The mushrooms! They're gone!" Morton exclaimed.
"What do you mean gone?" Barry asked.
"I placed them down, right here and now they are gone," Morton said. Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel had shown up and spotted the two hikers.
"Excuse me," Kairi said getting the attention of the hikers. "I'm sorry to bother you two, but have you seen a Wooper come by here?"
"A Wooper?" Morton asked.
"Yes. It's a boy Wooper. He has four brances on his antennae and he has a heart-shaped mark on his torso," Kairi discribed.
"No, we haven't, Morton said. Barry saw some footprints.
"Morton! Footprints!" Barry called out. "They head into the woods down there." He points in the direction.
"That's Wooper's trail!" Kairi said. She and the Pokémon couple went to follow the footprints.
"Wait, girl! Come back!" Morton called out.
"There are monsters in those woods!" Barry added. Kairi didn't hear them. She was too focused on finding the missing Wooper and soon. She found the little Wooper safe and sound.
"There you are. I was so very worried about you," Kairi said. "You should know better than to run off, making everyone worry."
"Wooper," Wooper said.
"Well, I'm just glad I got to you before something happened," Kairi said. Just then, a Dusk appeared. Kairi summoned her Destiny's Embrace and swung it at the Dusk. Several other Dusks along with some Creepers arrived. Ninjas, Assassins, and another new kind of Nobody came. These Nobodies are more brightly colored and feminine in appearance than other Nobodies, they wear pink bell-bottom pants with a white Nobody symbol printed on one leg. They also have pink beanie-like hats on that cover where their eyes would be, with a long, pink, braid-like growth sprouting from under the caps. The Nobodies also seem to wear dark, heeled boots with toes that point up at sharp right angles, as well as dark bracelets on each wrist, both with a small spike on them. They also have dark armor, resembling the top of the Nobody symbol, that cover their chests. This armor is worn somewhat like a halter top gown, as it exposes their shoulders and terminates in a collar. Their hands are blades and their mouths look to have been sewn on into a permanent, eerie grin. These Nobodies are known as Dancers. "Nobodies! This I didn't need this!"
"Pika," Pikachu growled.
"Vee," Angel said.
Sora and Naminé arrived just in time and they saw the Nobodies.
"NOBODIES!" Sora exclaimed. He summoned his two Keyblades and jumped into action just when the Dusks were about to attack. Sora slashed through the Dusks with his Keyblades. One of the Dancers grabs swings him around, then threw him. "Whoa!"
"Sora!" Kairi gasped. The Creepers turned into spear-like weapons and swung around, but Kairi casts her Thunder spell and zaps the Creepers. The Creepers vaporates into white particles and then she swung her Keyblade at the attacking Dusks. Sora slashed though some of the Dancers, but they kept on coming. Pikachu and Angel fought back against the Nobodies with Thunderbolt and Swift. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel fought hard against the Nobodies. Kairi gave one mighty swing at the Nobodies and destroys the Dancers. All of the Nobodies were dealt with.
"That was close," Sora said, dismissing his Keyblades. Kairi did the same thing.
Just then, the sound of a motorcycle engine is heard. Olesia rode in with Riku sitting in the side car.
"We got here as soon I heard little Wooper was missing! Is he okay?" Olesia asked.
"He's fine," Kairi said. "See?"
"I'm so glad," Olesia said. "Let's head back to the preschool," Olesia said.
Once they returned to the preschool, they saw the Tracey, Eevee, Togepi, and Azurill still with the Wooper. Togepi played the tambourine and the Wooper dancing along with the rhythm. Naminé went over to her Azurill.
"Did you have a good time dancing along with your new friends?" Naminé asked.
"Azurill, Azurill, Azu!" Azurill nodded.
"I think Togepi had a great time, too," Kairi said.
"We're glad to hear your mom is out of that cast and walking about again," Sora said.
"Me too. I'm just sorry that the Wooper became a handful while I was away," Olesia apologized.
Sora sratched the back of his head, "Oh, don't worry about it. It turned out into a fun experience." At least he hopes not counting the part with the bridge.
"We were just happy to help you out," Kairi said.
"Well, I am very grateful to all of you," Olesia said. "I cannot thank you enough."
"You don't have to thank us," Riku said.
"Just like Kairi said, we're just happy to help out," Naminé said.
The group said their goodbyes to Olesia and continued on. Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill went a different way. She promised that she and Togepi will be able to play again the next time they see each other.
