Chapter Two-hundred and five: Kukui teaches sex ed
One well enough day at the trainer school, the heroes and their classmates were all gathered around Lillie's desk as an Alolan Vulpix sat right on it, looking up at everyone. "Yes," Lillie said, "Snowy hatched into this Alolan Vulpix shortly after I heard that the Pokémon Pancake Race was canceled due to a scare caused by some minor Team Scorn activity."
"Wait wait wait," Kenny said, "You named the egg?"
Shrugging, Lillie replied, "Well it was white like snow, so..."
Pointing at the Alolan Vulpix, Dawn asked Lillie, "Can you pet it?"
Looking a little nervous, Lillie replied, "Well, I haven't yet, and I'm not so su-"
Lillie was cut off when Kukui suddenly entered the classroom. "Alright children, let's take our seats," Kukui said. He stopped short upon seeing the Alolan Vulpix sitting on Lillie's desk. "...Where did that Vulpix come from?" Kukui asked.
"It hatched from the egg entrusted to Lillie, Professor," Ash explained.
Nodding once, Kukui said, "Ah, so Lillie got an Alolan Vulpix. Principal Oak's egg hatched into a Kantonian Vulpix earlier this morning. But we can discuss that business later. For now, I have to make a rather important announcement, yeah?"
Looking curious, Kenny said, "What, did you finally develop Erasure?" Trip smacked Kenny in the back of the head, beating Dawn to the punch for smacking Kenny for being stupid.
"No kids," Kukui said, "I just got word from Principal Oak that I'm supposed to start teaching... certain... material that all students are expected to learn."
"What kind of material, Professor?" Kiawe asked.
Kukui turned around to face the chalk board, picked up a stick of chalk, wrote 'SEX ED' in big bold capital letters on the chalk board, then turned back around to face the students. "Teachers here at the trainer school are now being required to teach sex ed lessons to their respective homeroom students," Kukui explained, "As per the word of the school board according to Principal Oak. So yeah, I'm going to be teaching you kids sex ed."
"Oh ho ho ho ho ho, this ought to be good," Trip muttered to himself in a dry, knowing, mildly sarcastic tone.
Kukui, not having heard Trip's muttering, said to the class as a whole, "Now, due to some of the things that the lessons will require me to talk about, I have to hand out these forms you kids need your parents or guardians to sign, which basically says your parents and or guardians will be okay with you kids being taught this stuff. Hopefully, tomorrow will see all of you kids handing in signed permission forms to me, which will allow me to teach you kids the required material." Kukui then handed out the forms to the students, who all put their forms away in their bags. After that, class as normal was carried out.
...
Later that day after school, Dawn, Kenny, and Trip had their respective moms sign the forms. "Your teacher has to give you kids sex ed lessons?" Kenny's mom said in a surprised tone.
Shrugging, Kenny said, "Apparently, the school board is requiring that trainer school students get some sex ed lessons for some odd reason."
"Well hopefully Professor Kukui will do right by you kids," Johanna said, "He's a brilliant professor, I'm certain he'll know how to teach the subject." Dawn and Trip both nodded in agreement with their mom as she handed them the signed permission forms.
As the reborn trainers put their permission forms away, Kenny's little sister came wandering over, followed by Darknyan and Kirara. "Mommy, what are you doing for Kenny?" Kenny's sister asked.
"I just had to sign a permission form for him for a class he has to take at school," Kenny's mom replied, "It's for older kid stuff."
Nodding once, Kenny's sister said, "Okay. Oh, something really funny happened."
"Funny how?" Dawn asked.
Pointing at Trip, Kenny's sister said, "Kenny's friend's Popplio ate one of my crayons."
"Suzaku, no!" Trip said suddenly as he ran to go find his named Popplio.
The next day at the trainer school, the heroes and all of their classmates handed in signed permission forms; according to Ash, as he's currently staying with Kukui, they phoned Ash's mom Delia on a video phone and told her what was going on, and she gave Kukui the okay to sign Ash's form in her place. As such, all of the students in Kukui's homeroom had signed permission forms to take the sex ed lessons that Kukui was required to teach now. Kukui gathered all of the signed forms, put them in a stack on his desk, then stood in front of the chalkboard.
"Now class," Kukui began, "Since you all got the okay from your respective parents and guardians, I can now officially being teaching the sex ed lessons that I'm required by the school board to teach."
"Oh... oh my..." Lillie said, her face lighting up out of embarrassment; similarly, Snowy the Alolan Vulpix covered its face with its paws, as it was similarly blushing out of embarrassment like Lillie.
Leaning to his side to whisper to Kenny, Trip asked, "Did you bring Zarbon with you?"
"Pfft, hell no," Kenny replied, "I ain't bringing Zarbon to a class like this."
"How about-"
"No to Hisoka as well," Kenny whispered back to Trip. Given the subject of what Kukui had to teach, Kenny figured it was for the best that he didn't bring his named Machamp or named Mr. Mime to the lessons; he similarly wasn't bringing his named Torterra Roshi, and Dawn similarly wasn't bringing her named Chatot Pigeon. It was embarrassing enough the students had to take these lessons; Dawn and Kenny didn't want to make things worse by bringing Pokémon who would be a little too keen to learn the material.
After the class settled down, Kukui began the lesson. However, he apparently didn't quite have the right idea on how to actually teach sex ed. "You see kids," Kukui began, "As you grow older, you'll find that your bodies undergo... various changes. Think of it like you're a Pokémon who is evolving. Now, as boys grow older, they will find that on occasions, their... hidden thing... will become firm." Already, a few students in class blushed heavily with embarrassment. "There is a reason for this," Kukui said, "And it's the fact that boys can become firm if they don't reslease their passion for fierce battles."
"...What?" Trip said, sounding completely lost.
"Boys can find relief from the firmness by engaging in hot, fierce Pokémon battles," Kukui said, sounding totally like he sincerely believed what he was saying, "The passion of battle helps to ease the firmness, letting them relax."
"Is that true?" Sophocles asked as he raised a hand.
Nodding once, Kukui said, "Totally, it's why there tends to be more guys who are trainers. Now, as for you ladies, as you mature you will begin something called a monthly cycle."
"A... monthly cycle?" Mallow asked, sounding and looking confused and mildly concerned.
Nodding once, Kukui said, "Indeed. You see, once a month, in the most beautiful process possible, blood comes flowing out of a girl's butthole."
The girls in class, aside from Dawn who knew better thanks to past life knowledge, all cried out in freaked out tones. As for Dawn herself, she was starting to think that Kukui, although brilliant at teaching about Pokémon, probably shouldn't step outside of said area of expertise.
...
That day after school, Dawn, Trip, and Kenny were doing their first bit of sex ed homework when Johanna came on by with Kenny's mom. "You kids doing homework?" Johanna asked.
"Yes mom," Dawn said, her tone mildly unsure, "Although it's just homework related to the sex ed lessons Kukui-sensei is having to teach us. The questions were written up by Kukui-sensei himself." Dawn consented to letting Johanna pick up her sex ed homework worksheet.
Within a few seconds, Johanna's expression instantly became unamused. "Is this really what Professor Kukui is teaching you kids in the sex ed lessons?" Johanna asked.
Trip nodded in the affirmative. "Yeah, we're pretty sure he doesn't know how to teach sex ed, and only gets at least some points right if he's able to use a Pokémon based analogy to describe things better."
Johanna, still looking unamused, said, "Yeah, I'm going to have to complain to the trainer school about this. I think a lot of parents are going to com-"
"Yo, Johanna!" the familiar voice of Serena's mom Grace called out, making Johanna and the others turn to see Grace come up to them. Grace looked very unamused. "I need you and Harris here to come with me," Grace said, "I'm gathering a meeting of parents to discuss the sheer idiocy that the trainer school is trying to get away with by having our kids get their sex ed lessons from a man clearly not qualified to teach the subject. Professor Kukui has my daughter Serena afraid she's going to bleed out from her butt, for crying out loud!"
"Mrs. Serena's mom," Kenny said, "In Professor Kukui's defense, he is being made to teach a subject he has no experience in teaching, so he's probably learning as he goes. I think that what should have been done was have the trainer school hire a new teacher who does know how to teach the subject, and have that teacher cover all of the sex ed lessons."
"I also got it that Kukui-sensei isn't the only trainer school teacher who's messed up in providing sex ed lessons," Dawn added, "Steinburg-sensei who's the Class 1-B homeroom teacher has apparently taught similar material. There are many other examples, but I don't know the names of most of the teachers at the trainer school, so I can't name names."
Grace, as well as Johanna and Kenny's mom, all gave resigned sighs. "We'll have to keep that in mind during the meeting of angry parents," Grace said, "Anyway Johanna, Harris, let's go." Johanna and Kenny's mom followed Grace out of the hotel, leaving Dawn, Kenny, and Trip alone to finish their sex ed homework.
The following morning at the trainer school, the heroes and their classmates were all in class when an embarrassed Kukui walked into the class. "Okay students, let's take our seats," Kukui said, "Anyway, before we begin class, I would first like to apologize to you all. I learned from a meeting with angry parents that I had been horribly misleading you in the first sex ed lesson, and had also caused some of you undue worry. I am very sorry for that. Also, it turns out I am far from the only one here at the trainer school who had botched teaching the first sex ed lesson."
"Does this mean we'll drop the sex ed lessons altogether?" Kiawe asked as he raised a hand.
"Will we get a new teacher to cover sex ed who knows how to teach the subject?" Sophocles asked while raising a hand.
"So I won't really bleed from my butt?" Serena asked as she raised a hand.
Kukui got the whole class to settle down. After the students were all settled, Kukui said, "Students, here's what's going to happen. Sex ed classes will be postponed until Principal Oak can find and hire someone to the trainer school staff who knows how to teach the subject. From there, everyone will be given a blank slate, meaning you'll start fresh and not have to worry about my botched attempt to teach the subject yesterday. The sex ed homework from last night also won't be counted towards a grade so you don't have to worry about finishing it if you don't have it done yet."
"How will the lessons work, sensei?" Dawn asked while raising a hand.
Clapping his hands together, Kukui said, "No idea. But I believe that the teacher will have students by year assemble in the big lecture hall, as we have multiple classes each divided by first, second, and third years. There's gonna be a lot of figuring things out as we go along, so just try to bear with us." The class was given the rest of homeroom time to get used ot the idea that things will have to change in order to adjust for the changes necessary to permit the sed ed lessons that the school board is now mandating the school to teach.
Although that did leave the heroes and their classmates wondering; who will the school get to teach sex ed?
...
Principal Oak sat at his desk in his office at the trainer school. "Well your record shows you're marvelous in various scientific fields," Principal Oak said, "And sex ed is a type of science class, it teaches the science of how the human body works and functions as one grows up. I figure you're the best choice to teach the subject, and I'm not just saying that because you're literally the only person who came here to apply for the job."
"Well, I, umm, err," a male applicant began, clearly sounding embarrassed, "Sir, with all due respect, when I heard that there was an opening for a teaching position here at the trainer school for a science related class, I didn't quite have teaching a sex ed class in mind. I thought it would involve more technology and robotics. You know, machines that one invents."
"The human body is a kind of machine," Principal Oak said, "And it's important to understand the science behind how the human body can work." The male applicant could tell that Principal Oak was actually rather desperate to get him to accept.
A younger female voice spoke up. "Oh come on! I don't know what sex ed is, but if it's a science class like Mr. Principal here says it is, then you're clearly the best choice to teach it! Besides, I saw Ash, Serena, Dawn, Kenny, and Trip here as students! Think of how excited they'll be to see us again!"
The scene then zoomed out to show that Principal Oak was talking to Clemont and Bonnie, who had traveled with Ash, Serena, and the reborn trainers in Kalos. Clemont, looking embarrassed, said, "Well, it would be nice to see them again. I just hope they can get over the embarrassment of me having to teach them sex ed."
"Excellent!" Principal Oak cheered, "Glad to have you on the staff, Mr. Clemont!"
Clemont, as he accepted Principal Oak's handshake, replied, "This really is only until Prism Tower over in Lumiose City, Kalos gets repaired."
At the beginning of the following school week, the heroes and their classmates all went to the large lecture hall at the trainer school, where the other first year homerooms all went to, in order to take the new sex ed class. "So they finally got someone to teach the sex ed class that the school board is requiring the school to teach," Kiawe said, "About time."
"I wonder who they got to teach it, though," Serena said aloud.
"It's our old bud Clemont from the Kalos region," Kenny said dryly.
"Wait, Clemont's here in Alola?" Ash said, looking surprised as he and the others all turned to look at Kenny.
The Alolan born classmates all looked confused. "Wait, who's Clemont?" Mallow asked.
"Back when the lads here and I traveled through the Kalos region," Kenny began while gesturing to Ash, Serena, Dawn, and Trip, "We also traveled with a cool dude named Clemont and his kid sister Bonnie. Clemont is a genius inventor, and I would have long since asked him to make me a suit of Iron Man armor if it wasn't for the fact his inventions have at least a forty percent chance of blowing up."
"How did you know Clemont would be here?" Ash asked Kenny.
"My mom and I met him and Bonnie at Lana's place earlier this morning," Kenny explained, "We were dropping off my little sister there as Lana's mom volunteered to babysit her. Clemont was there dropping off Bonnie to be babysat as well."
"That would explain how you knew the blonde guy in glasses and his kid sister," Lana remarked while pointing at Kenny. Class 1-A settled down in some seats together as the rest of the classes all settled down. Soon, Clemont could be seen walking up onto the stage, and Ash and Serena were surprised to see that it really was Clemont.
Once he was ready at his podium, Clemont spoke to the gathered students. "Alright class," Clemont spoke out into the lecture hall, "I'm your new sex ed teacher, Clemont. Now, sex ed by its nature is something of an embarrassing subject to cover, so let's just try to bear with one another as I cover teaching a subject that the school board is mandating that the trainer school covers, alright?" Clapping his hands together, Clemont asked, "Now, are there any questions?"
A few hands went up, and Clemont saw that one of the students raising a hand was Lana. "Ah, you're the girl whose mom is watching my kid sister for me," Clemont said, "What's your name again?"
"It's Lana, and I'm not sure if this actually relates to the class but I wanna ask anyway," Lana began, "Why did your little sister ask me to marry you?" A lot of the students burst out laughing in the lecture hall, making Clemont blush with embarrassment.
"Umm, Bonnie's always been like that even though I've told her multiple times to stop asking random girls to marry me," Clemont replied. The laughter died down, but Clemont saw that Kenny was still laughing. "Kenny, why are you still laughing?" Clemont asked, "You were there earlier."
"It's even funnier the second time!" Kenny exclaimed as he laughed a bit more, up until Dawn cut him off by smacking him in the back of the head.
...
After school that day, Class 1-A met up with Clemont as he was getting ready to go pick up Bonnie. "Yeah, I needed something to do while Prism Tower is being rebuilt," Clemont said, "So I came out here when I heard there was a science class opening at the school. I... didn't quite expect the science I'd be teaching would be sex ed, however."
"To your credit," Trip began, "You did WAY better than Kukui did. So anyway, how are you and Bonnie doing since coming to Alola?"
"Well I figured that Alola would be an easy going, safe place for Bonnie to stay while Kalos is trying to get its issues with Team Scorn settled down," Clemont said, "Also, she missed you guys."
"Well that would explain why she hugged me," Kenny remarked.
Clemont nodded once in agreement. "So anyway, we ought to catch up. Also, I'm going to wanna get to know the new faces here. I still remember Ash, Serena, Dawn, Kenny, and Trip. But I need time to learn their classmates' names."
"That's fair," Mallow replied.
"Your little sister was rather cute and funny," Lana said, "Even though she did ask me to marry you."
"Ooh Mallow and Lillie, that reminds me," Kenny said, "If you two ever meet Bonnie, don't be surprised if she asks either of you to marry Clemont."
Both Mallow and Lillie blushed in embarrassment, as did Clemont as well. "...Yeah, Bonnie would do that," Clemont admitted. The heroes would have to catch up with Clemont later, because he needed to go pick up his little sister. Similarly, Kenny had to pick his own little sister up, and Lana went with them as she lived where the little girls were left for the day. The heroes were excited to see what will happen now that Clemont and Bonnie were back on the scene. It made them wonder who else was going to show up again, only this time in Alola.
A few days later at the ferry terminal, Shauna, Trevor, and Tierno, the friendly rivals from Kalos, were encountered by May and Max, Ash's former traveling companions from Hoenn. Both groups were in Alola for the newly opened up Pokémon Contest circut, with Shauna dragging Trevor and Tierno along while May brought Max along. When both groups revealed why they came to Alola, as Shauna and May were both going to gun for the Pokémon Contest circut in Alola, the two girls got into a battle against one another right away.
Eventually, the battle ended in May's favor, but then again it saw May's Blaziken against Shauna's Floette. "It would seem that I have a fierce rival in Alolan Pokémon Contests already," Shauna remarked with some dry amusement as she and May shook hands.
"I got it that the person who wins the first Contest season here will go down in history as Alola's first 'Contest Kahuna'," May said, "Apparently that's the Alola region version of Top Coordinator. Either way, I'm going to go for that title."
"I wish you luck with that," Trevor said, "Because Shauna aside, you're bound to face a lot of competition, especially as this is the first Contest season in Alola region history." Turning to look at Max, Trevor said, "And what of you, Max?"
"I actually wanna look into this 'Island Challenge' thing, see if I'll be allowed to participate," Max said, "There's also a Pokémon found in the wild here in Alola, called Rockruff, that I wanna find and catch."
"You also need to eat more while we're here in Alola, Max," May said, "You're still rather on thin side, mom and I are rather worried."
"Actually kid, your sister has a point," Tierno said, "You are pretty skinny."
"Ooh," Shauna said, "I heard there's a popular local restaurant, called Ania's Kitchen, located near the ferry terminal here! We ought to go there!"
Clapping her hands together, May said, "That's a wonderful idea! Let's go!" The entire group then made their way over to Ania's Kitchen, with Shauna leading the way as she looked up the address. The five of them all wondered what kind of food would be served at Ania's kitchen, as well as what kind of atmosphere the restaurant would have when they got there.
...
When May, Max, Shauna, Trevor, and Tierno got to Ania's Kitchen, the first thing they was was Kenny using a can of black spray paint to write 'NOW HIRING' on the outside wall to the left (if one stands directly in front of the restaurant's entrance). Kenny was accompanied by his named Politoed Kermit as he tagged Ania's Kitchen. "Kenny?" May called out in surprise, making Kenny and Kermit turn to see May.
"...Oh snap, it's May, Max, Shauna, Trevor, and Tierno!" Kenny said as he turned to properly face everyone, "What are you guys doing in Alola?"
"Shauna dragged Tierno and I along to help her train so she can take part in the Alola Pokémon Contest circuit that's gonna start up soon," Trevor explained, "And May is here for the contests as well." Gesturing to what Kenny was doing, Trevor asked, "Now can you explain what you're doing vandalizing a restaurant?"
"Oh, the family of one of my classmates at trainer school owns this restaurant," Kenny began, "And they need to hire some new employees because business is booming like crazy for a mix of reasons, one of which is the Contest circuit you mentioned." Gesturing to what he did, Kenny said, "This is me getting the word out."
"You could have just put a help wanted ad in the local paper," Max said, "Or put a help wanted sign in the window."
Waving a dismissive hand, Kenny said, "Relax, I know what I'm doing." Kenny then asked the folks who arrived if they're here to eat, to which Shauna and May said yes, also May added that Max needs an extra large serving of whatever he gets because he's still on the skinny side of things. "Yeah, Mallow made some of this 'legendary Alolan Stew' using Yellow Nectar," Kenny said, "It's pretty bomb, you guys ought to try it."
...
Inside of Ania's Kitchen, it looked like a mass class reunion of a lot of the friends that the heroes had made during their travels. "Oh yeah, the Alolan Pokémon Contest Circuit," Dawn said when Shauna and May revealed why they came to Alola, "It's going to be quite exciting from what I gathered."
"I know," Mallow said, "It's brought in a lot of tourism, and that boosted the number of customers per week that my family's restaurant here is seeing. It's to the point we need to hire a few good people from outside the family to help pick up the pace."
Looking around at the mass gathering of friends, Ash saw that Serena looked to be deep in thought. "...You okay, Serena?" Ash asked.
Hearing Ash speak up brought Serena out of her funk that she was in. "Oh, it's just that I've been thinking about what to do for when I take part in the Pokémon Contests here in Alola."
"I can help you train for the parts of Contests that require you to battle opponents," Ash said.
"You have to battle in Contests?" Serena asked, looking surprised.
Ash nodded once in the affirmative. "I've seen it in Contests in Hoenn and a few in Sinnoh. There's rounds in Contests where the Coordinators battle one another. I can at least help you train for that part of the Contests you'll take part in."
"It can also serve as training for the Rockruff that you caught recently," Kiawe spoke up, drawing an affirmative nod from Ash.
"You caught a Rockruff, Ash?" Max spoke up, "That's actually a Pokémon I wanna catch here in Alola!"
Pointing at Max, Kenny said, "Clemont's little sister Bonnie would be bound to wanna help you, she and Clemont are here in Alola too but they're busy right now."
Max was about to speak up, but he was cut off when a few men walked into Ania's Kitchen, all of them holding stapled together sheets of papers. "Umm, we saw that this place was hiring," the first man said, "Are the job openings still available? Some of us even brought resumés."
"Actually we literally just started the process of getting the word out that we're hiring," Mallow replied, "How did you guys all know so soon that we're hiring?"
"Someone had taken a can of black spray paint and wrote 'now hiring' on the wall outside," the second job seeker explained, "Why, is it too soon to apply?"
"Someone did WHAT?!" Mallow exclaimed before running outside. She came running back in a few moments later and said, "Someone vandalized the side of my family's restaurant!"
"My sister and I caught Kenny in the act of doing that when we came by with Trevor, Tierno, and Shauna," Max supplied.
"Kenny, what the heck?!" Mallow exclaimed.
Shrugging, Kenny replied, "Well it got your family's restaurant the job applicants you guys were looking for and in record time, so why sweat the details?"
Sighing in exasperation, Mallow said, "Geez, Kenny! This is almost as bad as some of what Sophocles had done as of late!"
"Hey, why are you ganging up on me?!" Sophocles snapped.
That evening at the hotel the reborn trainers were staying at while in Alola, Dawn said to the boys, "Well boys, Alola's first official Pokémon Contest is in a few days. The girls focusing on entering are already training for it."
"How do you think the girls will do?" Trip asked, "I mean, between Serena, May, and Shauna, who do you think has the best shot at winning?"
Dawn folded her arms over her chest, wore a look of consideration. "...Between those three girls," Dawn said, "I would say that May has the overall best odds of winning. These will be actual Pokémon Contests, something that May has experience in doing in spades. But then again that's still no guarantee that May will take home the first Alolan Contest ribbon, or equivalent award. I'm not exactly sure what will be handed out for winning Alolan Contests, I think mom said something about tiki necklaces?"
Gesturing to the Berlitz siblings, Kenny said, "There's also the possibility of there being a wild card entry into the Contests," Kenny pointed out, "Someone that blows Serena, May, and Shauna clear out of the water."
"Ideku's here in Alola," Trip remarked, "He may tell his girlfriend Ochaco about the Contests. She was quite the marvel in Showcases in Kalos, maybe she'll want to try her hand at Contests here in Alola."
Dawn nodded in agreement. "Hopefully she keeps it in mind to use only her own Pokémon. Mom had it made as a rule for Alolan Contests that competing coordinators can't use Pokémon that they borrow from others, they have to actually own the Pokémon they use." Shrugging, Dawn added, "That's it though, there's nothing in the rules for Alolan Contests that prevents Ochaco from making generous use of her shiny Lopunny, and if Ochaco were to somehow catch a legendary or mythical Pokémon, she could use that too."
Kenny gave an understanding nod. "Oh yeah, that one chick working Showcases in Kalos had a lot of rules for Showcases changed in order to force her ways onto Showcases to force her idea of fair play."
"And Ochaco owning a legendary or mythical Pokémon?" Trip said, "I can't really imagine that happening." Dawn, after considering what her brother said, nodded in understanding, then the Berlitz siblings and Kenny laughed off the idea of Ochaco owning a Pokémon widely believed to exist only in lore. The reborn trainers spent the rest of the night before falling asleep wondering what Alola's first Pokémon Contest would be like, as well as who will win.
END, CHAPTER TWO-HUNDRED AND FIVE
Author's notes;
This chapter sees the trainer school have to tackle something that all schools, despite how embarrassing the subject matter is, ought to cover at some point; teaching sex ed. Unfortunately for the trainer school, virtually none of its teachers have any idea how to teach the subject, with Kukui's botched attempt as an example. Thus the trainer school is forced to hire someone who can teach the subject, with said person ending up being Clemont who brought Bonnie along; Clemont needs a job while Prism Tower is being rebuilt.
Shortly after the heroes meet up with Clemont again, the friendly rival trio from Kalos also shows up in Alola, with Shauna dragging Trevor and Tierno along to help her with training for the Alolan Pokémon Contest circuit that's starting up; May and Max from Hoenn also show up so that May can take part in the Contests. The cast for the Alola saga here may seem a bit big, but a fair portion of it is in Alola for the Contests, also the greater number of friends present in Alola will help Kenny for a sub-plot for him in the Alola saga here.
Anyway, the next chapter will see the first Alola Pokémon Contest, which will see Serena, May, and Shauna compete to try to earn the first Contest ribbon, or Alola's equivalent of a Contest Ribbon. I don't exactly remember if I said what it'll be in a past chapter, I'll just say whatever is used was decided upon at the last minute in order to save myself some stress. Hopefully the next chapter will be a fun one, so until then take care.
