Episode 124: Spell of the Unown Part 5
And here is the final chapter of the Spell of the Unown arc. Thought it might interest you to know that Sora will be fighting using his two Keyblades. How will it turn out for Sora and for the rest of his friends? That's why we're here to find out.
Where we last left off, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel have made it to the top while Riku, Ash, and the others stayed behind to deal with Molly. Just when they tell Molly that they had to leave, she refused and it caused crystal spikes to erupt.
Sora found a space for his mom to come over.
"Mom, I found you," Sora said.
"I'm coming," Delia said.
Entei appeared behind Molly.
"What is it, Molly?" Entei asked.
"Papa, that boy is trying to take mama away," Molly said. Entei creates another crystal pillar, blocking her exit.
"Sora!" Delia gasped.
"Mom, mom!" Sora yelled.
"Leave her here, and leave this place," Entei said.
"I'm not leaving without my mother!" Sora said.
"Now she's Molly's mother!" Entei said.
"She's coming!" Sora said.
"She's staying here. Leave this place or you will be made to leave here," Entei said.
"You're going have to try hard to make me," Sora said, taking out his Pokéball and threw it. "Totodile! Go!" Totodile came out with a dance.
"You think you can defeat me?" Entei asked.
"I'm not backing down from an illusion!" Sora said. "Totodile! Water Gun!" Totodile fired Water Gun at the Volcano Pokémon, but it dodged just by jumping.
"You fool. See if this is an illusion," Entei said, firing a Flamethrower at the Big Jaw Pokémon, easily defeating him. Sora called Totodile back and took out his next Pokéball.
"If water's not going to work, then let's try fire," Sora said, taking out his next Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Cyndaquil!" His Pokéball opened and Cyndaquil came right out. "Use Flamethrower!" Cyndaquil fired Flamethrower at Entei, but Entei fired another Flamethrower, easily overpowering it. The Fire Mouse Pokémon was down for the count. Sora called Cyndaquil back.
"You're stronger than I thought you were," Sora said.
"Now have I proven that I am real?" Entei asked.
"No, because you're not even a real Entei! You're an illusion, dreamed up by Molly!" Sora said.
"You're wrong, Sora. You're wrong," Molly said. Crystal pillars spiked up in response to Molly's emotions.
"I am no illusion! I am this girl's father, and I must protect her!" Entei said, leaping at Sora and Pikachu. Pikachu fired a Thunderbolt, hitting Entei, but not as easily.
"Pikachu!" Sora and Kairi exclaimed.
"Eevee!" Angel also exclaimed.
Entei fired Flamethrower at Pikachu as he kept firing Thunderbolt. Kairi and Angel heads right for Delia and Molly. Kairi sees Molly in front of her.
"Molly, listen to me! You're the only one who can stop this! Think of your real mom and dad! Please! It's still not too late!" Kairi pleaded. Molly looked at her, not knowing what to do.
Team Rocket have come up to the room.
"It's kinda chilly in here," Jessie said.
They screamed with flames and lightning clash against each other. They ducked their heads down and came back up.
"We're in the middle of a battle," Meowth said.
"And this is the battlefield," James said.
The battle between Pikachu and Entei went on, so Pikachu was panting due to the energy he used up. Entei prepared to fire a powerful fire attack. Entei fired right at Pikachu. Thinking quickly, Sora summoned his Kingdom Key and stood in front of Pikachu.
"Reflect!" Sora shouted, blocking Entei's Fire Blast. Delia reached Molly and shielded her from the smoke. The smoke cleared and Sora still held the Keyblade in his hands. "You okay, Pikachu?"
"Pika," Pikachu replied weakly.
"What is this?" Entei asked, noticing the Keyblade. Molly saw the Keyblade in his hands.
"My Keyblade," Sora said.
"Keyblade?" Entei asked.
"Something I didn't want to use, but it looks like I don't have a choice in the matter," Sora said, summoning his Oathkeeper and held them both in his hands.
"They're keys, but he's holding them like swords," Molly said.
"You're actually going to fight me yourself?" Entei asked.
"I fought against a horde of monsters and a guy who has powers over the darkness, but fighting youis nothing to all that," Sora said.
"You think you can defeat me with some magic tricks?" Entei asked.
"Fight me and find out," Sora said. He engages Entei with his two Keyblades, holding them tightly. He leapt at Entei, but the Volcano Pokémon dodges and fired Flamethrower at him. He casts his Blizzard spell and hits. He then casts a stone spell, summoning rocks. Entei wasn't easily deterred by the rocks. Entei came at Sora, so he swung his Keyblades, striking Entei. It swiped its paw at Sora, making him roll to the side, but he got back up on his feet. He casts his thunder spell, striking Entei. Entei gave Sora a shove, sending Sora to the edge, but Axel quickly dashed as Riku, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Eevee, and Marill arrived. Axel quickly grabbed Sora by the hand.
"I got ya!" Axel said. Sora saw Axel, taking him. He pulled Sora back in.
"Axel?!" Sora exclaimed in shock. "What are you doing here?!"
"Right now, saving your skin," Axel said. Sora held his Keyblades tight.
"Is this some kind of trick set up by Organization XIII?" Sora asked.
"You got it all wrong. I'm not here to fight you," Axel said. "I'm here on my own accord, so this has nothing to do with you."
"Get out of here!" Kairi said, summoning her own Keyblade and held it tight and she points it at Axel. "I won't let you near him." Axel smiled.
"I'm backing off for now. I got what I need anyway. So, don't expect me to come to your rescue the next time we cross paths. Get that memorized," Axel said. "Also, our little meeting never happened." Axel disappeared through the corridor of darkness, returning to the World That Never Was.
"Sora!" Riku called out.
"You okay?" Ethan asked.
"Yeah. I guess I would have been a goner if Axel hadn't shown up," Sora said. He did wonder what Axel was doing in the mansion, but he decided to think about it later. Sora stepped forward, looking at Molly. "If you come with us, you can have real Pokémon, Molly." Molly's dream Pokémon appeared in crystal coloring.
"I already have real Pokémon. Go away!" Molly said. Entei fired Flamethrower at Sora, so he dodged and aimed his Keyblade at Entei.
"Thunder!" Sora shouted, firing a bolt of lightning at Entei, but it dodged. Delia stepped up.
"I don't care if you're a real Pokémon or not, you can't take the place of her real father!" Delia said.
"I am Molly's real father as long as she wishes it!" Entei said. Sora came at Entei with his Keyblades, so Entei dodges as Sora swung them.
"Balloon!" Sora shouted, summoning several magical balloons. They made contact with Entei, popping. Entei jumped to a pillar above Sora and fired. Sora activates his reflect spell, causing it to bounce off. Entei then ran to the hole, so Sora gave chase. Entei ran onto the walls, and Sora did the same thing, running along the walls. Lightning emits from his Keyblades and he threw them both. Entei dodges as it jumped, making a crystal pillar come from the wall. Sora's Keyblades returns to his hands and he went after it again. Entei stopped and fired Flamethrower at him, so he jumped and his Keyblades emits fire and ice. His Kingdom Key emits fire while the Oathkeeper emits ice. He threw them both and struck it. His Keyblades returns to him and he aimed his Keyblades at Entei. "Fire!" Sora unleashed a stream of fire, taking Entei in it. "Entei, listen to reason! If you really care about Molly, then you'll have to let her come with us!" Entei responds with another Flamethrower, so Sora dodges again. "It's not right for her to stay here with you! You have to let her go!"
"Wheter if it is right or wrong, I will do whatever she wishes!" Entei roared, firing another Flamethrower at him. Sora dodges again, but Entei starts coming at him with crystal pillars forming in its path. Entei takes Sora by the arm and tosses him back inside. Sora screamed in pain, feeling Entei's bite. Sora tried to cast his healing spell on himself, but Entei stomps on his chest.
"Sora!" Kairi cried.
"Don't do this," Sora said.
"This will end it!" Entei roared, preparing for the finishing blow, but Molly stepped up, seeing enough.
"Stop!" Molly said. The Volcano Pokémon obeys and looked at it. She ran up to Entei. "No more fighting! Please, papa." Molly started to cry.
"If that is what you wish," Entei said, taking its paw off of Sora's chest. Kairi then ran up to Sora and embraced him.
"Ow! That hurts!" Sora yelped.
"You always have to make me worry like that," Kairi said. She summoned her Keyblade and she casts her cure spell on him, healing Sora of his injuries. Riku walked up to Molly.
"You're a great Pokémon Trainer, Molly," Riku said. Molly was puzzled. "A big part of battling is to know when to stop. You just shown us that you have the right idea. You could be a great Gym Leader if you wanted to."
"We battle hard and we hold our own. Also, a friendship is there, rather if they're people or Pokémon," Sora said.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"They're right, Molly. The battles in the real world might be hard, but the friendship's real," Ash said.
"So, what do you say, Molly. Come with us," Sora said. Molly who looked at Delia who is smiling and she held out her hand.
"It's just what your papa would want," Delia said. Molly slowly walked up to her and then took her by the hand.
"I want things real again," Molly said with tears forming from her eyes. In response, the dream Flaaffy, Teddiursa, and Phanpy all started to vanish. The mansion responds to her. Entei turned around, catching everyone's attention. "Papa?"
"I was created to be the father who could make you happy here. If you would be happier outside in the real world, then I go," Entei said.
Everyone stayed silent, knowing that things were going to get back to normal. Marill's ears perked up.
"Rill?" Marill asked.
"Marill, what's wrong?" Lyra asked.
She got her answer when crystal pillars were spiking up like weeds.
"What's going on now?!" Leaf exclaimed.
"Try to stay calm," Jessie said. Entei smashes the crystals, blocking their path.
"This way!" Entei said.
Not needing to be told twice, the group started to head for the stairway. Ash took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Charizard! Go!" Ash called out. His Pokéball opened and Charizard came on out. "Molly, you ride on Charizard." Charizard starts flying. Sora made contact to the Pokémon Center.
"Professor, we got a problem!" Sora said.
"It's the Unown! They've let out so much psychic energy, they're unable to contain it any longer," Professor Oak said.
"The crystallization is heading right this way!" Schuyler exclaimed.
"We gotta get out of here!" Davis said.
"Sora, you gotta get out of there or else you're trapped in there forever!" Professor Oak said.
Everyone started to run for their lives as the crystal spikes were spreading like wildfire.
Back at the Greenfield Pokémon Center, Tracey, Naminé, Yuta, Mirei, Azurill, Tai, Kari, their friends, Nancy, Hiroaki, his staff, Schuyler, Lisa, David, Officer Jenny, Nurse Joy, and all the Trainers inside were running as the crystallization was spreading faster than their usual pace.
"There's pandemonium here in the Greenfield Pokémon Center," the news woman reported. Professor Oak is the last person to step out.
"We can't stay!" Professor Oak said.
"Right," the news woman agreed as she and the cameraman ran with him as the crystallization covered the Pokémon Center completely.
Back in the mansion, the Unown were going crazy as they swirl around the core.
"The Unown are getting restless!" Ethan said
"What does this mean?" Kris asked.
"I don't know, but it's going to get worse unless we take care of this," Ethan said.
"The professor said to get out," Leaf said.
"Yeah, but even if we did, we would have nowhere to run," Ethan said.
"Ethan's right. The only way to stop this if we make the Unown stop," Sora said. He summoned his Kingdom Key. He fired a beam of light from the tip, but it doesn't go through.
"That should have worked!" Kairi said.
"It did, but it didn't. Maybe, we can try by using the powers of light and darkness and see if that works!" Riku said.
"It's worth a try, Riku," Sora said. Riku summoned his Braveheart as Kairi summoned her Destiny's Embrace. Ash summoned the Fire Red Charizard, Leaf summoned the Leaf Green Venusaur, Ethan summoned the Heart Gold Ho-Oh, and Lyra summoned the Sould Silver Lugia. They aimed their Keyblades. Beams of light and darkness fired from their Keyblades and they held on right until a force pushes them back. "Even light and darkness combined can't get through!"
"That's not good! Somebody help!" Jessie yelled.
Help did come as a roar is heard. A blast of fire came from the ceiling, causing Entei to come out. It fired Flamethrower at the spikes and jumped off. Molly smiled.
"Molly, I was happy and proud to be your father. The last thing I could do for you is to take you out of this place," Entei said.
"But how?" Molly asked.
"I was born from your dreams. If you believe in me, there's nothing I cannot do," Entei said. It dashed at the core, but the barrier is keeping Entei out. "Molly, help me!" Sora turned to Molly.
"Molly, you gotta believe in Entei! It's only through your belief that can make Entei strong enough to break through! You're the only one who can!" Sora said.
"Believe in me!" Entei said. Molly knew what was at stake, so she had to believe in Entei.
"You can do it, Entei!" Molly said.
"Molly!" Entei said.
"We'll help, too!" Ash said.
With that said, the Keyblade wielding Pokémon Trainers fired beams of light and darkness again. Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, and Marill joined in. Feeling Molly's belief, Entei sums up the last of its powers.
"Molly!" Entei said, firing blue flames from its mouth, hitting the core. The Unown then stopped. A bright light shines as the Pokémon and the Keyblade wielders ceased fire. "Molly." She opened her eyes and looked at Entei. "I must go now, Molly." Molly ran up to the Volcano Pokémon.
"Entei, I will miss you," Molly said.
"And I will miss you. Just keep me close to your dreams," Entei said, disappearing.
The tablets fell from they went up, and vanished. The Unown then went back to their home dimension. With the Unown now gone, the crystallization became undone. Everything was now back to normal.
Back to the ruins of the Unown, a hooded figure places Spencer down. He looked up to him.
"You okay, Spencer?" The hooded man asked. Spencer was shocked to recognize his voice.
"Kaito? Is that you?" Spencer asked. The hooded man removed the hood and he smiled.
"It's me, old friend. You were lucky I found you in there," Kaito said.
"How is it possible? You're dead," Spencer said.
"Yes, I am. My spirit still lives," Kaito said.
"Are you a ghost?" Spencer asked.
"In some ways, I am," Kaito said. "Sorry to cut this reunion short, but I have to go. Some places to go. Give my regards to your daughter."
"Molly! Is Molly alright?" Spencer asked.
"She's fine. My son and his friends are with her now, along with my wife," Kaito said. He looked over to Spencer for the last time. "Take care, and go home to your little girl."
"Kaito," Spencer said as Kaito vanishes.
Back at the mansion, the group are greeted by a warm sunrise.
"It looks better than I thought," Kairi said.
"It sure does," Sora said, placing his arms around his girlfriend's shoulder after Kairi took Togepi out of her backpack.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Togepi," Togepi chirped.
"So glad everything went back to normal," Ethan said. Kris noticed Team Rocket were gone.
"Where did Team Rocket go?" Kris asked.
"They probably made it like a drummer and beat it," Ash said.
"And knowing them, they'll show up again," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
Molly stayed silent, but she then started to cry and hugged Delia by the legs.
"Molly, what's the matter?" Delia asked.
"I'm sorry. I'm so very sorry about everything that's happened. This whole thing was my fault," Molly cried. Kairi bent down and took out a handkerchief for her to dry her eyes with.
"No, Molly, it's not your fault. It was the Unown who did all this. They're to blame for all of it, not you," Kairi said.
"Kairi's right, Molly. And I understand why Entei took my mom in the first place. It was because you were lonely, and I understand completely, because I would have done the same thing," Sora said. Molly looked at Sora.
"Aren't you even mad at me for taking your mama from you, Sora?" Molly asked.
"No, I'm not mad, Molly. There's nothing to forgive," Sora said. He rubs her head. "I know your papa will be eager to see you again." Molly's face lit up. Just then, everyone started to head for the mansion.
"Sora, Kairi!" Tracey called out.
"Riku!" Naminé called out.
"Azurill!" Azurill chirped.
"Thank goodness you're alright!" Professor Oak said.
In the World That Never Was, Axel stood before Xemnas and Saïx to give his report.
"What was it that you have learned, Axel?" Xemnas asked.
"The whole thing was caused by Pokémon called Unown. They were reading the mind of a little girl living in a mansion. That's what I got so far," Axel said.
"And what of Sora? Have you disposed of him?" Xemnas asked. Axel knew this question was coming, so he came up with an answer.
"No," Axel lied. "No, neither him or any of his friends were there." Xemnas and Saïx were surprised to hear Axel's sudden answer.
"Are you sure?" Xemnas asked. Axel paused.
"Lord Xemnas asked you a question, and you will answer," Saïx said.
"Yes, I'm sure. Neither Sora, Kairi, Riku, or the others were there," Axel said, lying to the leader and second-in-command.
"Very well. You have accomplished your mission. Return to your room and await further instructions," Xemnas said. Axel took his leave, relieved they bought it.
"I can't believe they bought it. What is with me? I just lied to Xemnas. I was worried Saïx would see through me like glass. Sora will have to be grateful that I decided to spare his life for now," Axel said.
Back in Greenfield, Ash was disappointed that he didn't find a way into the realm of darkness. He realized it would have been too easy to find.
"I'm sorry you couldn't find it, Ash," Leaf said.
"Don't be sorry, Leaf. I was certain there was a clue," Ash said.
"But wouldn't Sora be worried if you just dove in there?" Leaf asked.
"Yeah, but I'm keeping it a secret from him, because he would try to stop me from going in the realm of darkness," Ash said.
"I'm sure he'll understand if you explain it's to save Cascade," Leaf said. Ash knew Leaf was right, but he still wasn't sure.
It didn't take long until Spencer have come home at last, much to Molly's delight.
"Molly," Spencer said.
"Papa!" Molly cried, running up to her father. Both father and daughter embraced each other lovingly. "I missed you, papa."
"I missed you, too, Molly," Spencer said. He looked at the group. "Things got really exciting while I was gone."
"Mister, you have no idea how exciting it was," Ethan said. He looked over to Sora.
"Look at you, Sora. You sure grown," Spencer said.
"It's been a really long time, Professor Hale," Sora said. Spencer smiled and he looked at Kairi.
"And who's this pretty young lady?" Spencer asked.
"My name's Kairi," Kairi introduced herself.
"Kairi? Wait, you mean you're Sora's girlfriend? Delia's been telling us about you," Spencer said, making the couple blush. Molly looked and saw their faces red. Yuta and Mirei stepped up.
"I'm Yuta and this is my wife Mirei, we're Kairi's parents," Yuta introduced.
"It's so nice to meet you both," Spencer said.
"I'm just glad you're doing okay, Spencer," Delia said.
"Same to you, Delia," Spencer said.
Just then, the door opened, catching everyone's attention. The Ketchum and Hale families recognized the woman coming in.
"Spencer, Molly," Eliza said.
"Mama!" Molly cried, running up to her. Tears forms in her eyes.
"My Molly. I missed you so much," Eliza said.
"Eliza!" Spencer and Delia both said.
"Spencer," Eliza said as her husband embraced her with Molly. "Hello, Delia."
"Hello, Eliza. You're looking well," Delia said.
"I feel well. The doctors said I had an incurable disease, and then I don't. I don't know if it was a miracle," Eliza said.
"Does that mean you're going to be home, are you, mama?" Molly asked. Eliza smiled.
"Yes, it does," Eliza said. This made Molly happy. Sora and Kairi held hands as they smiled.
As it turns out, it was Kaito who paid Eliza a visit in the hospital. He uses his cure spell to cure Eliza of this mysterious disease. Eliza have gotten a brief look at him, but she thought she dreamt him.
Later, Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi have gotten ready to depart for Goldenrod City as Ethan, Kris, Lyra, and Marill have already left ahead of them. They stood before Ash and Leaf as they were heading back to Kanto.
"You sure you can't stick around, guys? We have lots to catch up for," Sora said.
"I appreciate the offer, Sora, but you know Leaf and I have to head back to keep the Heartless in check. I don't even want to think about how bad it'll be when we've been gone too long," Ash said.
"Just know we'll be rooting for you, Sora," Leaf said.
"Thanks, guys," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"It was good to see you again," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Togepi," Togepi chirped.
"And I was glad to meet you," Tracey said.
"Likewise, Tracey," Ash said, shaking his hand. "And we'll tell Daisy you said hi." That made Sora smile.
With that said, Ash and Leaf said their goodbyes to Sora, Kairi, Tracey, and the Pokémon as they started to depart for Goldenrod City. Sora was happy that Molly have gotten her real parents back. Delia was heading home since Karen was worried ever since her abduction as well as Professor Oak. Checking the map on the PokéGear, they saw they were near Goldenrod City, so they continued on through. And more adventure will be awaiting them.
"Hey, wait a minute!" Jessie said. "What about us?"
"Yeah, you never gotten to the part of us sneaking off," Meowth said.
"I'm wondering if we'll have a bigger part in the next chapter, or when he does a take from the next movie," James said.
"For now, we'll blasting off again!" Team Rocket said.
"Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet said.
"Mime, Mime, Mime," Mime Jr said.
