Episode 128: Oaknapped!
Just when Sora was about to get ready to set off for Ecruteak City, he is approached by Nurse Joy.
"Excuse me, are you Sora by any chance?" Nurse Joy asked.
"Yeah. Why ask?" Sora asked.
"There's a phone call for you," Nurse Joy said. Sora went to the picutre phones and he replied.
"Hello, this is Sora. Who is it?" Sora asked. It turns out to be Professor Oak.
"Ah, Sora. So glad I reached you before you could depart for Ecruteak City after winning your third Gym Badge," Professor Oak said.
"How did you know that?" Sora asked.
"Oh, word's been getting around faster than wildfire. I wasn't the least bit surprised to hear it," Professor Oak said.
"Wait, how did you even hear about it from Pallet Town?" Sora asked.
"Oh, I'm not in Pallet Town. I'm in Goldenrod City. I arrived here by using the Magnet Train. So, I arrived to the Goldenrod Radio Tower as soon as I departed. And I would appreciate it if you would could come my way before you go," Professor Oak said.
"Sure thing, professor. To be honest, I didn't think we'd see each other again so soon," Sora said, referring to Greenfield.
"Same here, Sora," Professor Oak said with a smile. He turned to his left. "Oh, I should get going. I'll see you when you get here."
"You too, professor," Sora said, breaking contact. He turned to Kairi, Tracey, and the Pokémon behind him. "Been there long?"
"Long enough," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"I'm so glad we'll be casually meeting with Professor Oak," Tracey said.
"Me too. Let's go and see him," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped.
Meanwhile, Professor Oak sat down next to a young woman wearing a green short-sleeved shirt and a brown skirt, glasses above her brown eyes and dark pink hair.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, Mary," Professor Oak apologized.
"Not at all, Professor Oak. I'm to go on with the rehearsal as you are," Mary said.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket have arrived to Goldenrod City in the department store and make it to plates of food on display.
"Buffet, ho!" James exclaimed.
"They must be free samples! Let's down to scarfing!" Meowth said with his mouth drooling.
"I don't even care what kind of food it is, because I'm willing to eat anything!" James said. They ate the food on display, catching the attention of the manager.
"Ahem!" The manager cleared her throat. Team Rocket turned to see a large woman in an apron. "May I help you?" She asked in an angry tone.
"No thanks, we can help ourselves," Jessie said.
"I couldn't help but notice that you're eating everything right in front of you," the manager said.
"Now you're in for a bunch of trouble!" Jessie started.
"We're eating lunch, so make it double!" James said.
"To eat and drink to our hearts' content!"
"Without even having to spend a single cent!"
"To denounce the evils of paying for food!"
"We won't leave a single sample unchewed!"
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"Team Rocket loves scarfing down free samples at the speed of light!"
"Yes, and we like to eat even more than we like to fight!"
"You got that right!" Meowth said.
"Wobbuffet!"
"Mime, Mime!"
"What are you three talking about?" The manager asked, not in a mood for their nonsense.
"We were just sampling the free samples sitting in the middle of the store," James said.
"Those aren't the free samples," the large woman said. She pulls out a small plate holding a small piece of hamburger. "These are the free samples." Team Rocket realized the mistake they made and chuckled nervously. "So, are you going to pay for those or what?"
"Uh, we're kinda short on cash right now, so maybe we can open up a tab," Meowth said.
"Tabs are for paying customers only. And since you don't have the money to pay for the food you ate, then you're going to work until you paid for it," the manager said.
A few minutes later, Team Rocket were dressed in the store's uniform and started to work for it.
"We're out for a couple of chapters and we get slapped in the face with this bit of humiliation," Jessie said.
"At least nobody we know is here or else we will never hear the end of it," James said.
"Who's going to recognize us in this getup? It's not like anyone we know could be here in town anyway," Meowth said.
Meanwhile, a man is walking down the streets of Goldenrod City, pushing a life-size plush Nidoqueen doll. The man makes his way to the radio tower. He spoke with the security guard.
"Malikg a special delivery," the man said.
"Go ahead," the security guard said.
Later, Mary was at a frantic when Professor Oak was discovered missing.
"Oh, this is terrible. What could have happened to him?" Mary asked.
Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi arrived to the Goldenrod Radio Tower.
"Well, this is the place," Sora said.
"I'm sure Professor Oak is in here somewhere," Kairi said.
"Maybe someone knows where he is," Sora said. He went up to a security guard. "Excuse me, but would you know where Professor Oak is?"
"I don't think I can help you there, kid," the security guard said. Sora knew something was off. They walked up to Mary who was speaking with several other security guards.
"I just can't believe he would just go missing like this," Mary said. Sora, Kairi, and Tracey gasped.
"Missing?!" Sora exclaimed. This draws Mary's attention.
"What happened to him?" Kairi asked.
"Um, who are you?" Mary asked.
"My name's Sora. This is my girlfriend Kairi, and my other friend Tracey. We were called here by Professor Oak to meet with him," Sora said.
"You're Sora? Professor Oak has told me some nice things about you. I only wish we've met under better conditions," Mary said.
Officer Jenny ran in the building.
"I interviewed some of the staff, and none of them have seen anything suspicious," Officer Jenny said.
"Oh, dear. This is terrible," Mary said.
"Maybe we should sit down," Kairi suggested.
"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped.
"Eevee," Angel said.
Sora, Kairi, Tracey, and the Pokémon sat down with Officer Jenny and Mary.
"Just what exactly happened?" Sora asked.
"And how did he go missing?" Kairi asked.
"We've searched the entire building and we couldn't find him anywhere," Mary said.
"The security guards on duty said they didn't see him leave the building at all," Officer Jenny said.
"Are you sure he didn't just go out for a walk?" Tracey asked.
"I don't think he did. He would never take off without telling anyone," Sora said.
"Answering your question, Kairi, we doing our rehearsal, because we're doing a live so tonight. After that, we were going to have a meal in the cafeteria. And then he just disappeared," Mary explained.
"Disappeared how?" Sora asked.
"How did that happen?" Kairi asked.
"Well, we were waiting for the elevator to come down, and it was taking a real long time. And that's when these two scientists came up to us. They were kinda funny-looking," Mary explained. Sora didn't like how that came out.
"Funny-looking scientists?" Sora asked.
"Yes. They said they had something rare for him to look at, so he told me to go on ahead, so I did. I went into the cafeteria first and waited for him to show up. And he never did, so that's when I knew something was wrong. And well, you know the rest," Mary said.
"I think those scientists might have something to do with this," Sora said.
"That's what I figured, too, Sora. I asked around and no one saw any funny-looking scientists, especially those those two security guards. They've been on duty since this morning," Officer Jenny said. Sora looked at the security guard, knowing they had to get him out through there, but he had to figure out how the kidnappers did it.
"The only way in and out is through the front door," Sora said.
"You're right, Sora. It's the only way," Kairi said.
"Aren't there supposed to be fire escapes?" Tracey asked.
"We have one in the back and one up on the roof, but there have been no log reports that the doors have been ever opened all day," Officer Jenny said.
"I think I have an idea on how they snuck in," Kairi said.
"How?" Mary asked.
"We can ask a security guard that was on duty," Kairi said. A few minutes later, everyone got to the front. "Excuse me, but has anyone come by with a huge package. Something that was for delivery by any chance?"
"A huge package?" The security guard asked.
"What do you think happened, Kairi?" Sora asked.
"Well, I have an idea that might help shed some light on this mystery. As we know, nobody saw Professor Oak leaving the building, and it has something to do with the funny-looking scientists that nobody saw enter. Say that someone came walking in the building through the front door with a package and there's a second person hiding inside the package. Then they get to Professor Oak and put him in the package and waltz right out the front door with the package with Professor Oak inside," Kairi deduced.
"Wow, Kairi, you're pretty smart," Mary said.
"Beautiful and smart," Sora said, making Kairi blush.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Sora," Kairi said, blushing. She stopped blushing. "So, was there anyone that came in with a package like that?"
"Come to think of it, there was a delivery this morning. There was a man who had a life-size plush Nidoqueen doll and he said he has a delivery to be made, so I let him in. Not sure if that has to do with anything," the security guard said.
"It has a lot to do with everything. Tell us more what you know," Sora said.
"Well, there was just the one person that went right in. Little while later, there were two people stepping out with the same Nidoqueen doll. I didn't think it was strange at the time," the security guard said.
"Looks like your hunch was right on the mark, Kairi," Officer Jenny said.
"Something that I pieced together," Kairi said.
"Have I been a lot of help to you?" The security guard asked.
"More helpful than you think you have. But you can be more helpful if you tell us if you saw anyone leaving in a truck or something," Kairi said.
"Actually, they did. They left in a truck with a Pidgeot on the side," the security guard said.
"Did you see which way they went?" Sora asked.
"No, I didn't," the security guard said.
"I'm going have to setup roadblocks checkpoints all over Goldenrod City. No one gets in or out of the city until the truck is spotted," Officer Jenny said.
Meanwhile, the truck with the Pidgeot on the side is driving down the road. We look inside to see Professor Oak tied up. The kidnappers turned out to be Cassidy and Butch.
If you're wondering how Cassidy and Butch got out of jail so fast, I'll be more than happy to shed some light on the matter. Giovanni apparently bailed them out of jail and then gave them an earful for their failure since Sora and Kairi were involved. But they were granted more of a chance than Jessie and James ever deserved since we all know Giovanni would leave them in jail for them to rot. Also, after returning to Team Rocket HQ, they were given another assignment by one of Team Rocket's scientists, Dr. Namba. Now let's see what Dr. Namba wants with Professor Oak.
"This plan has gone so smoothly," Cassidy said.
"The mission went even smoother than a Squirtle's underbelly. Just glad this worked out," Butch said.
(Flashback)
The man from earlier enters the building, pushing the plush Nidoqueen doll. The doll moves and pulls the mask off. Cassidy took in a deep breath.
"Damn, you have no idea how long I had to sneeze," Cassidy said.
"Those guards don't suspect a thing," Butch said.
Butch and Cassidy switches on their next disguises, confirming that they're the funny-looking scientists Mary was talking about.
"Remember to use big words, Butch," Cassidy said.
"Gotcha," Butch said. They approach their target waiting for the elevator. "Excuse me, but are you Professor Samuel Oak, the renowned Pokémon researcher?"
"I don't know about renowned, but yes, that is me," Professor Oak said.
"We have made an incredible discovery, so we suspect that it's an egg of a new Pokémon species. We thought that you should be the one we should go see about this," Cassidy said. The elevator arrived.
"Mary, why don't you go ahead and save a seat for me?" Professor Oak asked.
"Sure," Mary said, entering the elevator.
"Now, let's see what it is," Professor Oak said.
"No, not here. I think it's best that we go somewhere more private," Cassidy suggested.
"If you insist," Professor Oak said. Cassidy and Butch chuckled under their breath, knowing their plan was working.
"It has some unusual markings," Butch said. The box opens to reveal a pink egg with magenta markings. The egg cracks and a small toy Bulbasaur comes out and sprays some knockout gas.
"I don't think this is a Pokémon e-" Professor Oak passed out. Cassidy and Butch had quickly put on gas masks before the gas could take affect.
"Target captured," Cassidy said.
"Now to bring him to the doc," Butch said.
They quickly placed Professor Oak in the Nidoqueen suit and pushed him out.
(Flashback ends)
"Just glad the boss didn't put us in debt just like he did with those bozos," Butch said.
"Jessie, James, and that talking Meowth they have following them around were mistakes the boss should never have made. Those three couldn't find water if they were splashing around like Magikarp," Cassidy said.
"Tell me about it," Butch said.
Meanwhile, Jessie gave off a light sneeze.
"Jessie, cover your mouth when you sneeze! You want the boss lady to chew us out for making someone sick?" Meowth asked.
"I just had a funny feeling someone I didn't like was just talking about me; and not a very good way," Jessie said.
"It's probably your imagination. Whoever it is have better things to do than to talk about you," James said.
"Yeah, you're probably right. I'm probably imagining it," Jessie said.
Back to Butch and Cassidy.
"I have to admit, I was surprised that Dr. Namba called us over to his lab after coming back," Cassidy said.
(Flashback)
Butch and Cassidy arrived in the lab, before a scientist with light orange hair and mustache. He wore a white lab coat over a black shirt and he has an orange tie.
"You wanted to see us, Dr. Namba?" Butch asked.
"What will you do for Team Rocket?" Dr. Namba asked.
"Anything, sir," Butch said.
"Do you know what the PPA is?" Dr. Namba asked.
"Um, isn't that a Pokémon rights group?" Cassidy asked. Dr. Namba growled in annoyance.
"No, it's not a Pokémon rights group. It's the secret project I have been working on for years. The Pokémon Power Acceleration Project. You will treat it with respect," Dr. Namba said.
"Yes, sir," Butch and Cassidy said.
"I have reached an impasse," Dr. Namba said.
"Congratulations, sir," Cassidy said.
"No! An impasse is a bad thing. So, that's where you two come in," Dr. Namba said.
"Sir!" Butch and Cassidy said.
"Go and kidnap Professor Oak. He has some useful information I require for my project to be a success. It's more likely that my written invitation would be turned down, and making a call over the phone is out of the question. So, I want to see him in person," Dr. Namba said.
"How do we kidnap him, sir?" Butch asked.
"WHY DON'T YOU TWO FIGURE THAT OUT?!" Dr. Namba yelled.
"Yes, sir! We won't let you down, sir!" Butch and Cassidy said.
(End of Flashback)
"I thought he was going to experiment on us when he called us in," Butch said.
"I'm curious to know what he wants to know. Turn right here," Cassidy said. The truck turns on the right.
Back at the Goldenrod Radio Tower, Officer Jenny has gotten reports that the truck in question hasn't made it to any of the checkpoints.
"Keep up the good work," Officer Jenny said. "No luck."
"What do we do now?" Tracey asked.
"I think we're going to need eyes in the sky," Sora said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Noctowl! Come out!" His Pokéball opened and Noctowl came out with a swirl of stars. "I have a job for you, Noctowl. I need you to scout around for a truck that has the marking of a Pidgeot on the side."
"I can help with that," Tracey said, drawing a sketch. He shows the Shiny Owl Pokémon the sketch of a Pidgeot.
"This is what Pidgeot looks like," Sora said. Noctowl nods and flies off to find the truck.
Butch and Cassidy brought Professor Oak to an abandoned warehouse, still tied up and to a chair.
"What's the meaning of this? Let me go at once!" Professor Oak demanded.
"You'll find out as soon as you meet the boss," Butch said. Stepping in the warehouse is Dr. Namba himself. "We've brought him here as you requested, sir."
"Good work, you two," Cassidy said.
"I know who you are. You're Dr. Namba, a disgraced Pokémon scientist," Professor Oak said.
"Disgraced is an insult, but there is a reason I had you brought to me. As you have already deduced, I am Dr. Namba, Team Rocket's Pokémon expert. I had you brought here to interrogate you, so I strongly suggest you make it easy for yourself. You do know of the mysterious lifeform known as the Pokérus, do you not?" Dr. Namba asked, making Professor Oak growl. "Don't give me that! I know that you know about it! The Pokérus virus is the key component for my top-secret project! The Pokérus is the key to make Team Rocket's Pokémon evolve and grow stronger at a faster rate! All of the Pokérus specimens I had have all died out. It has brought my project at a standstill, and I would have gone and gotten more. Tell me! Where does the Pokérus grow? Tell me!"
"Never!" Professor Oak said, not wanting such a project to come true.
"I thought it would be too easy," Dr. Namba said, taking out some earmuffs. "So I came prepared for such an occasion. Cassidy, Butch, prepare the instruments." The Team Rocket agents placed ear plugs in their ears and brought out a nail and a piece of glass. Professor Oak flinched when he saw those.
"What are you going to do with those?!" Professor Oak exclaimed.
"Oh, just giving you the soothing sounds of a nail scratching on a piece of glass. Enjoy," Cassidy said.
The nail scratches the piece of glass, much to the professor's agony.
"MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOP!" Professor Oak yelled.
"You ready to talk, Oak?" Butch asked.
"I'll never talk!" Professor Oak said.
"Suit yourself," Butch said.
"No, not again!" Professor Oak exclaimed, screaming at the sound of a nail scratching on the glass.
Outside, Noctowl is flying around and spots the truck. Noctowl sees the Pidgeot marking and flew back to Sora. Noctowl found Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Mary, Officer Jenny, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi.
"Noctowl's found the truck," Sora said.
"Follow that Noctowl!" Tracey said.
"You got it!" Officer Jenny said, following the Shiny Owl Pokémon.
The police car followed the Shiny Owl Pokémon back to where he found the truck.
Back inside, Professor Oak fell backwards.
"You ready to spill your guts yet?" Cassidy asked.
"Do your worst! I'll never tell you anything!" Professor Oak said.
"Have it your way," Cassidy said. Just then, Noctowl flew right in and smashed the glass just by buying Wing Attack.
"Where did that Noctowl come from?" Dr. Namba asked.
"From me!" Sora said. Butch and Cassidy saw it was them again.
"It's those brats again!" Cassidy said.
"It's those two from Team Rocket! Cassidy and Butch!" Kairi said.
"The girl got it right, too!" Butch said.
"You know them?" Dr. Namba asked.
"Unfortunately, yes! They foiled our plans twice!" Cassidy said.
"Didn't expect to see you two so soon after that fake Pokémon fortune telling scam when you tricked those Trainers into giving you their Pokémon, but is over the line!" Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"You're all under arrest!" Officer Jenny said.
"Not if I have anything to say," Dr. Namba said, taking out a Pokéball. "Electivire! Go!" His Pokéball opened and his Electivire emerged from inside.
"I'll take him, guys! You rescue Professor Oak," Sora said.
"You got it, Sora," Kairi said.
"You can count on us," Tracey said.
"You think you can take me, boy?" Dr. Namba asked.
"I know I can take you, doc," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Your Pikachu doesn't stand a chance against my Electivire! And allow me to prove it to you! Electivire! Use Thunder Punch!" Dr. Namba ordered. Electivire came at Pikachu with a Thunder Punch.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Pikachu dodges as Electivire punches the ground instead.
Kairi and Tracey attempted to rescue Professor Oak from Butch and Cassidy, but the Team Rocket agents weren't having it.
"Give the professor back!" Kairi said.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"Oh, we'll give him back when a Bulbasaur flies!" Cassidy said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Houndour!" Her Pokéball opened and a Houndour came out with a growl. Butch took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Take a spin, Hitmontop!" Butch called out. Hitmontop came out, doing a spin. Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Flaaffy!" Kairi called out. Flaaffy came on out to battle. Tracey took a Pokéball out and threw it.
"Go! Marill!" Tracey called out. Marill stood beside Flaaffy, starting the battle.
"Houndour! Use Crunch on Flaaffy!" Cassidy ordered.
"Use Rapid Spin on Marill!" Butch ordered.
Houndour and Hitmontop came at their opponents with their chosen attacks.
"Flaaffy! Use Shock Wave on Hitmontop!" Kairi ordered. Flaaffy unleashes electricity from her wool and it hits Hitmontop.
"Marill! Use Aqua Tail on Houndour!" Tracey ordered. Marill swung his tail at the Dark Pokémon, dealing some damage.
"I won't let you get away with that! Houndour! Use Sludge Bomb on Marill!" Cassidy ordered. Houndour fired Sludge Bomb at the Aqua Mouse Pokémon.
"Flaaffy! Save Marill with Signal Beam!" Kairi ordered. Flaaffy quickly fired Signal Beam, blocking Houndour's Sludge Bomb.
"Hitmontop! Use Triple Kick!" Butch ordered. Hitmontop spins and lands three kicks on the Wool Pokémon.
"Flaaffy!" Kairi gasped.
"Hitmontop! Use Low Sweep!" Butch ordered. Hitmontop gave Flaaffy a kick at her legs and made her fall. Kairi called Flaaffy back.
"Get some rest, Flaaffy," Kairi said. She looked at Angel. "Your turn now, Angel."
"Eevee," Angel said with a nod. Angel stepped in.
Back to the battle between Sora and Namba, Sora glared at the scientist angrily.
"Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fired Thunderbolt at the Thunderbolt Pokémon, making the scientist grin. Electivire just took the hit, but nothing happens to it. "Electivire just took it?"
"You fool. Surely you would have been aware of Electivire's Motor Drive. Whenever Electivire is struck by an Electric-type move, it increases Electivire's speed," Dr. Namba said.
"I should have remembered that. If electricity's not going to cut it, then I'm going to use Quick Attack and Iron Tail. Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu ran right at Electivire, hoping to deal some damage.
"Use Light Screen!" Dr. Namba ordered. Electivire sets up a yellow-gold screen in front of itself and Pikachu's attack bounces off. "Attack me all you want, boy. You can't hope to defeat me!"
"Don't count your winnings yet, Namber!" Sora said.
"It's Namba! Not Namber, Namba!" Dr. Namba yelled.
"Use Iron Tail, but aim for the legs!" Sora ordered. Pikachu dashed to deliver an Iron Tail to the legs, but Namba was prepared for that.
"Use Thunder Punch!" Dr. Namba ordered. Electivire lands an electrified punch onto Pikachu due to its increased speed. "Now show them a real Thunderbolt!" Electivire complies, giving Pikachu quite a shock. Pikachu fell to the ground.
"Pikachu!" Sora exclaimed. Dr. Namba laughed.
"It's just like I said, you didn't stand a chance against me. My Electivire can take anything you can throw at me," Dr. Namba said.
"How about this?" Sora asked, taking out three more Pokéballs and threw them. "Teddiursa, Gligar, Phanpy! Go!" His Pokéballs opened as his three Pokémon came on out to battle against the evil scientist. "Teddiursa! Use Fury Swipes!" Teddiursa came at Electivire, but Light Screen bounces Teddiursa off. "Gligar! Use X-Scissor!" Gligar flew down and crosses his arms, but bounced off because of Light Screen.
"Your Pokémon are pathetic and weak, just like you are," Dr. Namba said.
"We're much stronger than you think we are," Sora said.
"We?" Dr. Namba asked.
"Me and my Pokémon. We have each other's strengths, and we use it, too," Sora said.
"Your strengths means nothing to me! Electivire! Use Giga Impact!" Dr. Namba ordered. Electivire's body becomes surrounded in a purple aura with yellow stripes of aura spiraling around the purple aura. Probopass then slams into the opposing Pokémon. Teddiursa manages to stand back up. Teddiursa then started to evolve.
"Teddiursa, you're evolving!" Sora said. Teddiursa has now become an Ursaring. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned his newly evolved Pokémon.

In the forests inhabited by Ursaring, it is said that there are many streams and towering trees where they gather food. This Pokémon walks through its forest gathering food every day.
"You're an Ursaring now," Sora said. The newly evolved Ursaring gave off a roar. "Okay, Ursaring! Use Slash!" Ursaring slashed at Electivire hard. "Use Hammer Arm!" Ursaring swung his arms down, but Electivire blocked.
Back with the battle with Kairi, Tracey, and the Team Rocket agents, Houndour growls at the female Eevee.
"Houndour! Use Crunch on that little runt!" Cassidy ordered.
"Hitmontop! Use Triple Kick!" Butch ordered.
"Angel! Dodge with Quick Attack!" Kairi ordered. Angel dodges their attacks. "Use Swift!" Angel fired Swift, hitting them.
"Marill! Use Water Gun!" Tracey ordered. Marill fired Water Gun, hitting them both.
"Houndour! Use Sludge Bomb!" Cassidy ordered. Houndour fired Sludge Bomb onto Angel and Marill. Marill has taken the heaviest damage due to him being a Fairy-type Pokémon. Tracey called Marill back.
"You did your best, Marill," Tracey said.
"It seems your best wasn't good enough," Butch said.
"You know, it's people like you that burns me up! Now I'm going to burn you up!" Kairi said, taking out another Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Quilava!" Her Quilava came on out to battle. "Use Flamethrower!" Quilava fired Flamethrower right at the Team Rocket Pokémon. The flame attack goes between Butch and Cassidy, but a small ember goes on his head, making him yelp.
"Hot, hot, hot, hot!" Professor Oak exclaimed as he ran past the Team Rocket agents, Kairi, and Tracey.
"Professor, watch out for that-" Kairi was cut off when he hits the wall. "-wall."
"You're not getting away that easily!" Cassidy said.
"Quilava! Use Smokescreen!" Kairi ordered. Quilava spewed Smokescreen, making it hard for the Team Rocket members to see. "Use Quick Attack!" Quilava dashed at the Team Rocket Pokémon, giving them some additional damage and resulting in a knockout. The smoke clears.
"We're not done yet!" Butch said.
"Flamethrower!" Kairi ordered. Quilava fired Flamethrower at the Team Rocket agents. Quilava stopped firing Flamethrower when they have been given some burns.
"That burned me up," Butch said.
"I told you I was going to burn you up," Kairi said.
Back with the battle with Dr. Namba, Electivire was still blocking Ursaring's Hammer Arm.
"Don't show any mercy, Electivire! Use Thunder Punch!" Dr. Namba ordered. Electivire gave the bear Pokémon a punch in the face. "One more Thunder Punch!"
"Use Rollout, Phanpy!" Sora ordered. Phanpy rolled into a ball and plowed right into Electivire and shattering Light Screen.
"Impossible!" Dr. Namba exclaimed.
"Gligar! Use X-Scissor!" Sora ordered. Gligar swiped his claws into an X, landing a hit onto Elctivire. "Okay, Pikachu! Use Iron Tail!" Pikachu swings his tail and lands a hit, sending Electivire back and lands right on the scientist.
"Get off me! Get off me I say!" Dr. Namba demanded.
"You're finished, Numbler," Sora said.
"It's not Numbler, it's Namba! Namba, Namba, Namba!" Dr. Namba yelled as Officer Jenny slapped her cuffs on his wrists.
"You might as well face it to the judge, because you're under arrest for staging a kidnapping," Officer Jenny said. The scientist growled.
Later, Dr. Namba and the Team Rocket agents were pushed in the back of a police truck and driven down to the police station.
"Are you alright, professor?" Kairi asked.
"I am, thanks to the three of you. If you hadn't shown up, I would have been died from massive blood loss when my ears starts bleeding," Professor Oak said.
"Professor, just why did you want to see me about?" Sora asked.
"Oh, yes. I almost forgot. Your sister requested that I give this to you before I took off for Goldenrod City in case I bumped into you," Professor Oak said, giving him a photo of herself and Delia in a card. The card said "To my big brother."
"Oh, Karen," Sora said. He was lucky to have a sister like her. "Tell Karen I said thanks."
"I will most certainly make sure she gets the message as soon as I return to Pallet Town," Professor Oak said with a smile.
Everyone returned to the Goldenrod Radio Tower and the live show went on like a hitch. Now the mystery was solved, their journey towards Ecruteak City shall now begin without any further delays.
