Chapter Two-hundred and fifteen: Of captures and weddings
Early in the morning the day after the Ultra Deep Space adventure to rescue Lusamine, Dawn flew back to the Altar of the Sunne, riding on the back of her named Yveltal Fangfang. Dawn was doing this adventure alone, as she felt that it was a private test of sorts. She flew over the rocky area with the cavern leading to the Altar of the Sunne, and just landed within the valley that the Altar of the Sunne was located in. Dawn recalled Fangfang and proceeded to make her way up the steps, and soon she eventually reached the top of the stairs and looked out at the platform beneath the big sun symbol.
Standing in that area under the big sun symbol, as if it was waiting for Dawn, was Solgaleo.
Dawn and Solgaleo caught each others' eyes, nodded once in silent understanding. Dawn walked forward and, when Solgaleo roared out in challenge, Dawn tossed up a Master Ball containing one of her on hand Pokémon. "Alright, Kurumu! Let's get goin'!" Coming out to battle Solgaleo was Dawn's named Groudon who, after entering battle, was surrounded by a dome of red energy that seemed gem-like, and dark blue glowing symbol appeared on the gem-like energy dome before the energy broke away, revealing that Kurumu had undergone Primal Reversion to become Primal Groudon.
Right away, Kurumu's ability in Primal Reversion, Desolate Land, activated, triggering intensely harsh sunlight. Solgaleo was representative of the sun, so bringing about strong sunlight seemed fitting. Solgaleo rushed forward with its fangs glowing with psychic energy, so as to bite down on Kurumu. Gesturing forward, Dawn called out, "Kurumu, smack it back with Fire Punch!"
The named Primal Groudon swung a large, flame-cloaked fist at Solgaleo, who was struck along the side of its head before being pushed back, crying out in great pain. Solgaleo recovered, and then leapt up to use Sunsteel Strike, slamming right down into Kurumu. "Use Brick Break while it's rammed into you, Kurumu!" Dawn called out, prompting Kurumu to strike Solgaleo on the head with a seriously hard chop; psychic type it may be, Solgaleo is also a steel type, and that being said a fighting attack like Brick Break WILL have some effect on Solgaleo.
Solgaleo stumbled back, and opened its maw again as its fangs glowed white; Dawn recognized this move as Crunch. "Kurumu, use Earthquake!" Dawn called out, prompting her named Primal Groudon to trigger a massive quake that shook the entire area, as well as slam Solgaleo with seismic waves. After the attack ended, the legendary Pokémon Solgaleo collapsed, but it was able to keep its eyes open. Looking right at Dawn, Solgaleo gave her a nod and a grunt that sounded with approval. Dawn nodded once in understanding, seeing this as having passed Solgaleo's silently given test.
As such, Dawn took out one of the spare Master Balls she got from the Poké Ball Factory in Kalos, expanded it, and tossed it at Solgaleo while calling out, "Go, Master Ball!" The greatest model of Poké Ball flew at Solgaleo, bumped into it, took it inside, then fell lightly to the ground. There, it shook around for a few moments before it made a ping sound, indicating that Dawn had captured Solgaleo. Dawn breathed a sigh of reliefe as Kurumu's Primal Reversion came undone, returning Kurumu to its normal form, as Dawn went to collect the ball that held her now Solgaleo.
Scanning the ball with her Poké Dex, Dawn saw that Solgaleo was genderless, had a jolly nature, and the Full Metal Body ability. Surprisingly, it came knowing Psychic Fangs, a move that Solgaleo in the games in Dawn's previous life couldn't learn until the generation eight games. Solgaleo also came knowing Sunsteel Strike, Crunch, and Morning Sun. "I may wanna have it learn a move that'll replace Morning Sun," Dawn remarked to herself, before looking at the Master Ball that held Solgaleo. "I'll name you Zyuoh." After the ball containing the now dubbed Zyuoh was sent to Oak's lab, Dawn recalled Kurumu, called out Fangfang, and flew away, mainly because she had to get to trainer school on Melemele Island.
Despite the early morning side trip, Dawn still made it to trainer school on Melemele Island with time to spare. When she got to class, she was greeted by Kenny and Trip. Dawn's arrival meant that only Kukui hadn't shown up yet. "So was your early morning excursion productive, whatever it was?" Trip asked.
Dawn nodded once in the affirmative. "Yup, I'll be working on addressing Zyuoh's training later."
"...You caught Solgaleo," Kenny said, able to figure out what Dawn's 'early morning excursion' was. Dawn gave another affirmative nod.
Folding his arms over his chest, Trip said, "I think you catching Solgaleo may be what Sabrina meant with the vision she had about you concerning a beast of the sun or whatever. That being said, I still have to deal with the moon creature, and Kenny's got a light devouring prism thing to look forward to tangoing with."
"We'll tackle them as they come up," Dawn said. Dawn leaned to her side to see that Mallow, Lana, and Serena were all talking to Lillie. Straightening back up to face Kenny and Trip, Dawn asked, "Any word from Lillie on how her mom's doing?"
"Oh, the big boss lady Lusamine made a quick full recovery according to Lillie," Kenny said, "Also... umm..." Kenny looked mildly unsure about the next part he was about to say. "...Lusamine said that Faba had been... let go from the Aether Foundation."
"...Faba's been fired, you mean," Dawn translated, drawing an affirmative nod from Kenny.
"Yeah, apparently Lusamine did not like Faba's actions that resulted in the creation of an Ultra Wormhole," Trip said, "Citing his recklessness is part of why Team Scorn was able to get into Aether Foundation and learn what all info they had on the Ultra Beasts. She also didn't like how Faba straight up brought members of Team Scorn into Aether Foundation, although Faba proclaimed that he honestly had no idea that the new employees he brought in were Team Scorn members in disguise."
Dawn had a concerned look on her face. "...Something tells me that Faba is actually telling the truth about him honestly not knowing the guys he brought in were Team Scorn members in disguise. If that's the case, then Lusamine firing him may end up causing more trouble in the long run than she hoped to save."
It was around that time that Kukui entered the classroom. "Oh Dawn, Burnet told me she saw some energy spikes in readings she got coming from the Altar of the Sunne, and it was reported that you were seen flying to and from there earlier on your Yveltal. What's up with that?"
"Oh, I caught Solgaleo," Dawn replied, drawing a surprised look from Kukui.
"...Wow, you are as impressive as always, yeah?" Kukui remarked, "Same goes for Kenny and Trip."
Later that evening at sunset, Kukui and Burnet were walking on the beach. "So Dawn Berlitz caught Solgaleo," Burnet said, "That explains the readings I got from the Altar of the Sunne earlier this morning. What does she plan to do with it?"
"I got nothing on her plans aside from how she said she plans for Solgaleo to learn Earthquake," Kukui replied, "And given that Dawn now has Solgaleo, it may actually prove beneficial for future research into Ultra Wormholes."
Burnet nodded once in agreement. "I was thinking the exact same thing. You and I think a lot alike." She turned her gaze to Kukui. "...Can you tell what I'm thinking right now, Ku-" Burnet stopped short when Kukui took out a Poké Ball and opened it, revealing it was modified into a ring box in which was a single ring nestled into the ring slot. It stood up in that slot, showing it had a small gemstone, brilliantly shining and finely cut, put into it.
Kukui looked Burnet right in the eyes. "...I choose you?"
Burnet, after getting over the surprise, let out some sincerely amused, as well as very mildly embarrassed, laughter. "Yeah, yeah you knew full well what I was thinking."
...
The next day in class, the heroes and their classmates were surprised to hear it that Kukui and Burnet were now engaged to be married. "What we need to do is present the happy couple to be with a gift," Kenny said.
"Burnet told me that she'd accept it if I allowed her to use Zyuoh to help her and the others working on it further research into Ultra Wormholes," Dawn spoke up, "In between training session to get it up to the same level of training as my other Pokémon and after it learns Earthquake."
"But the happy couple needs something more material to keep around to remind them of their happy union," Lana pointed out.
Nodding once in agreement, Dawn said, "That is what I was thinking."
Clapping his hands together, Kenny said, "I got it! I, being a budding film maker, can record the ceremony on video and give them a copy!"
"You aren't gonna make it into one of the movies that your film studio will produce, will you?" Serena asked.
"No, this will be an actual wedding video," Kenny replied, "I'm still working on the script for the third Kenny Harris Studios movie." Clapping his hands together, Kenny said, "By the way, I told Paul that I wanted him to have the lead starring role and he agreed, meaning I can go ahead with the title I have planned for the movie." Dawn had a dreading feeling on what title Kenny had in mind for a military movie that apparently was going to feature Paul in the lead role.
"Oh, I can ask if it'd be okay to invite Paul and his brother to the wedding," Ash remarked.
"Well he is bettering himself from his former jerk-wad attitude, according to Kenny," Trip said, "If Kukui and Burnet are both down for it, then I fail to see why Paul can't be invited."
Invitations were sent out and, in addition to the heroes and all of their classmates going, Paul as well as Reggie were invited and they accepted. Gladion was invited by Lillie and, although he tried gently turning the invitation down due to deciding to take the Island Challenge to become stronger, he gave in and agreed to come when Lillie pushed the issue. It was there that Dawn, Kenny, and Trip learned that Gladion actually had a surprising amount of trouble telling Lillie no, and they learned that it was due to how he'd always been something of a doting brother to her.
Looking at Trip, Kenny asked, "Yo Trip, would you have trouble telling Dawn no?"
After looking at Kenny for a moment, Trip turned to look at Dawn. Pointing at her, Trip said, "Eat shit and die."
"Yes, fuck you," Dawn replied in a cool, casual tone, prompting the Berlitz siblings to both burst out laughing.
In addition to Gladion being on the invite list, May and Max, as well as Clemont and Bonnie, Shauna with Trevor and Tierno, and even Ideku were all invited. When Kenny suggested that they bring the field trip visiting Alola from Blackthorn City Academy, Dawn said it may make the wedding venue a bit overcrowded, although they did settle on Ideku bringing a plus one which ended up being his brother Katsuku. When asked why he didn't choose his girlfriend Ochaco, Ideku explained that she had to turn the offer down due to wanting to focus on training for the next Pokémon Contest; having lost in the last one spurred her competitive fires.
...
Sophocles was walking alone in a forest, going out this far to find some wild fruit he figured would be perfect to the fruit salad recipe his mom had; he wanted to make some up as his wedding gift to Kukui and Burnet. Following Sophocles were his Togedemaru and shiny Pikachu. "Alright, girls," Sophocles said to his Pokémon, "The tree that I remember growing that sweet pink fruit ought to be around here, that fruit will be the perfect addition to the fruit salad that I'll make up based on the recipe my mom made, it'll be a nice gift I'm sure that Professors Kukui and Burnet will-"
"Hello?"
Sophocles was cut off when he heard a voice call out; it sounded male, and the person sounded both tired and in pain. Sophocles continued to look on ahead, telling his Pokémon to stay back behind him, before looking on ahead. To his surprise, he saw a male Team Scorn grunt laying on the ground in a clearing about a dozen feet ahead of him. The Team Scorn grunt's left knee was bent slightly at an unnatural angle, suggesting to Sophocles that the Team Scorn grunt had injured his leg and was unable to move because of it.
Unable to move... meaning unable to get away.
A quick, and dark, thought crossed Sophocles's mind, a mind still in emotional turmoil over the injury that Misty suffered ultimately due to Team Scorn's actions (said injury, although not directly caused by Team Scorn, still ended up happening because Team Scorn acted up). He recalled Togedemaru and Pikachu, took out a pair of leather gloves and a pocket knife; the gloves were for handling the sweet pink fruit he was after and the pocket knife was for cutting stems of the fruit in order to make picking fruit easier.
...But handling fruit and cutting fruit stems weren't the ONLY things leather gloves and a pocket knife were good for.
The next morning, the heroes and their classmates had the wedding venue prepared on the beach, with everything perfectly ready. Dawn, Kenny, and Trip saw it as people were setting wedding gifts they brought on the wedding gift table, although the only one who didn't place the wedding gift they brought there was Sophocles as he brought a big bowl of his mom's fruit salad recipe. When Kenny saw that Clemont brought a wedding gift, he immediately went over to inspect it; Kenny even had the foresight to rotate Godzilla to his team on the assumption Clemont brought a wedding gift that he invented.
Although Clemont did indeed invent the wedding gift that he brought, it was just a music box like the gift to his Pokémon he made that one time, only this music box only had little figures resembling Kukui and Burnet. After confirming that Clemont's gift was not going to blow up, Kenny and Godzilla let Clemont be. "Oh, the next wedding will be the one between Clemont and the wife that I find for him," Bonnie said, "Or it will be me and Max's wedding."
"Yes yes," Kenny replied while nodding to Bonnie, "Of course." It was clear that Kenny was just humoring Bonnie. Dawn and Trip came up to where Kenny was talking to Clemont and Bonnie to let him know the families of the invited wedding guests had also arrived, at least the family members that were able to make it.
As Dawn told Kenny how his kid sister was playing with Kiawe's little sister and the twin little sisters of Lana, the three reborn trainers were met up by Ideku and his brother Katsuku. "Hey Dawn, Kenny, Trip, did you hear what happened?" Ideku asked.
Looking curious, Dawn said, "...No, what happened?"
"A Team Scorn member was found murdered in a forest somewhere here on Melemele Island earlier this morning!" Katsuku said.
The reborn trainers, as well as Clemont and Bonnie, all looked utterly surprised. "A Team Scorn member was murdered?!" Clemont exclaimed.
Ideku nodded once in confirmation. "Some people reported a weird smell coming from the forest early this morning before sunrise, so some Hikers went in to investigate, only to come running back immediately to confirm they found a dead body. Police investigators went in and found that the corpse in question was that of a Team Scorn member. His outfit he wore when he was found dead denoted him as a grunt level member of Team Scorn. His throat was slit, and his left knee was also bent at a somewhat unnatural angle although from what the police figured it has nothing to do with the Team Scorn member's death."
Dawn had a grim look on her face. "So, after all of the death and destruction that Team Scorn has caused, they're finally starting to take some of what they've dished out," Dawn remarked as she folded her arms over her chest, "Did you boys hear if the police have any leads?"
Katsuku gently shook his head in the negative. "No, none. There were no witnesses, and whoever did it was clearly careful enough to not leave any evidence."
"I know that Team Scorn has carried out a number of reprehensible acts, some of which are downright unforgivable," Ideku said, "But killing a member of Team Scorn isn't actual justice, it's violent vigilantism."
"Given how some people have been incredibly hurt by Team Scorn, they may view the killing of that random grunt as actual justice," Kenny said.
"It's stooping to Team Scorn's level is what it is," Ideku said, "What the person who killed that grunt should have done was bring him in for question. The police reasoned that the grunt was found with his leg injury before he was murdered, that would have made bringing him in for questioning loads easier."
Dawn nodded in understanding a few times. "Both sides have a point. People HAVE been hurt by Team Scorn's actions, some more than others, and the more vengeful among that lot will get some degree of satisfaction from hearing that a Team Scorn member was murdered. But at the same time, a straight up murder like that isn't really justice, or at least real, legal justice."
"This is actually a hot topic of debate among me and my peers here in Alola on the school field trip from Blackthorn City Academy," Katsuku said, "Especially as it's clear that the murdered Team Scorn member wasn't killed by one of his own, the police say it looks too random for it."
Gently shaking his head, Ideku said, "This is just like how the remains of two girls were found in the waters near Mt. Pyre in the Hoenn region, and their deaths were dated for around the second Lilicove City riots."
"Yes, I did hear about that in the news," Clemont said, "But regardless, we ought to put such grim topics off to the side for now. Today's a wedding, and grim topics like that are not good for the atmosphere."
...
Aside from how some grim topics of news were brought up, the wedding went off without a hitch. After Kukui and Burnet were officially made husband and wife, Burnet tossed the bouquet, which ended up being caught by Serena; Ash congratulating Serena for catching the bouquet made her light up red with embarrassment, and the reborn trainers could tell what was going through Serena's mind. Then came the after wedding feast, during which May got a notable big slice of wedding cake and gave it to Max before sitting him down to have him eat; he was still a little on the thin side, and May was making sure that he ate.
Speaking of Max, he presented Kukui and Burnet with the most surprising wedding gift of all; a Pokémon egg that he said he found with his Mightyena and Lycanroc a short while ago. May with a mildly embarrassed look on her face said she saw how Mightyena and Lycanroc came about getting the egg, and all she would say on the matter was that she was glad Max was actually out at the time thus he didn't see how his two shiny canine Pokémon came about getting the egg. The classmates aside from the reborn trainers had no idea where the egg came from as well, and the reborn trainers promised to keep quiet on what they figured out.
As the party guests mingled, the heroes and their classmates were met up by Lusamine and Wicke who, after explaining a few details concerning Faba having been fired from Aether Foundation, told the students about a little project they were working on. "The Ultra Guardians initiative?" Kenny asked.
Lusamine nodded once in the affirmative. "You kids have become part of a larger world by your efforts in rescuing me and dealing with the troubles caused by Ultra Beasts acting up. As such, we figure that you are the best to deal with it if Ultra Beasts show up in Alola again, as they tend to by accident wander through the Ultra Wormholes that randomly pop up."
"The best way to deal with the Ultra Beasts when they appear is to capture them and send them back to where they came from," Wicke explained, "And you kids are the best trainers that we have access to here in Alola. That being said, will you accept?" All of the heroes and their classmates accepted the offer, thus the Ultra Guardians initiative was a go. Little did the heroes and their classmates know, however, that the adventures that awaited them on this new journey would be what they could never even imagine in their wildest dreams.
A short while later, after some mishaps involving the Jigglypuff that likes singing people to sleep, Rotom Dex going crazy until its dex form was fixed, and Lana and Mallow recalling a story about a Drampa when Harper and Sarah met it, the class went to Ula'ula Island for the first time. "There was going to be a sledding competition of some kind, yeah," Kukui explained to his class as they stood in the cold snowy area of Mount Lanakila, "But it was canceled due to reports of Team Scorn activity, with said activity reported to be rather harsh."
"Hmph," Kiawe said, "No doubt Team Scorn is looking to avenge their murdered member."
Gesturing to Class 1-A, Kukui said, "Instead, we're here to learn about the regional variants of Vulpix and Sandshrew found here in Alola, right here in the Mount Lanakila area. This area is where the egg that Snowy hatched from was found, Lillie."
"Snowy's egg was found here?" Lillie asked, sounding surprised.
Nodding once in confirmation, Kukui said, "Indeed. Now, since we came here to discuss Alolan Vulpix and Alolan Sandshrew, Kenny who I told about it brought something along to help show some differences."
"It is more like someone, my bruddah," Kenny said, before tossing up a Poké Ball while calling out, "Come on out, Elay!" Coming out from the ball was Elay, Kenny's shiny Sandslash. The Alolan classmates were amazed to see a shiny Sandslash, although Mallow asked why Elay's eyes were looking in different directions. All that she got for asking was Elay making a tongue clicking noise at her.
"Although Kenny's Sandslash here is shiny, it's still the Kantonian version of the species," Kukui said, "As such, when the guest lecturer comes by shortly with his Alolan Sandslash, you guys will be able to see the physical differences, such as larger back quills and differently shaped cla-"
Kukui was cut off when some noises came from a nearby bush, making everyone turn to see it. To their relief, only a trio of wild Alolan Sandshrew came scurrying out, and they went right up to Elay. The three wild Alolan Sandshrew greeted Elay, recognizing him as a member of their evolutionary line despite being of a different regional variant. "Ooh class, this is perfect!" Kukui said, "We'll get to see the Alolan variant of the Sandshrew line interact with the Kantonian variant of-"
"Sandslash slash Sandslash?" Elay said to the trio of wild Alolan Sandshrews. The three wild Alolan Sandshrews looked at Elay with some mild degree of confusion, right before Elay said, "Sandslash slash Sandslash, Sand Sandslash?" Elay then proceeded to make a series of tongue clicks at the trio of Alolan Sandshrews. The three of them blinked their eyes a few times, and after they stopped blinking, their eyes all went in opposite directions, much like Elay's own eyes. The three Alolan Sandshrews then proceeded to make tongue clicking noises themselves.
Dawn, seeing what had just happened, muttered, "...Huh. Well this can't be good."
"Umm... why are those Alolan Sandshrews now acting like Kenny's Sandslash?" Lana asked, looking mildly concerned.
"Elay has taught them in da wae," Kenny explained, right before two of the Alolan Sandshrews scampered off, although the third one remained behind, walked up to Kenny, nuzzled against his left shin, then looked up at him with its crossed eyes before making some tongue clicking noises. "...You wish to learn more about da wae, don't you my bruddah?" Kenny asked, eliciting more tongue clicks from the Alolan Sandshrew which sounded to be in agreement with Kenny. Since that specific Alolan Sandshrew wanted to go with Kenny, he ended up capturing it. After scanning its ball and seeing it was male, Kenny said, "His name shall be Silver, and I can't wait to get started on having Elay help show him da wae."
After the ball containing one of Kenny's on-hand Pokémon was sent to Oak's lab so Silver can be added right away, Kukui said to Kenny, "If you end up evolving your Alolan Sandshrew into Alolan Sandslash, it would be great to have a Kantonian and an Alolan Sandslash side by side for long periods of time to permit study of the two variants."
"I'm... actually worried about those two other Alolan Sandshrews who wandered off before Kenny caught the one that stuck around," Trip remarked.
"Oh relax, Trip," Serena said, "I'm sure it won't be anything too much to worry about."
...
The two Alolan Sandshrew who wandered off after being taught da wae by Elay found a nesting area where other Alolan Sandshrew were living. The two who showed up were met up by two nest members. "Sandshrew shrew Sandshrew?" one of the Alolan Sandshrews taught in da wae said to the first nest member Alolan Sandshrews.
"Shrew?" one of the nest member Alolan Sandshrews replied.
"Sandshrew shrew Sandshrew, Sand Sandshrew?" the second Alolan Sandshrew taught in da wae said, before it and the first one made a series of tongue clicks at the two nest member Alolan Sandshrews. Those two nest members blinks a few times, before they kept their eyes open, only to show their eyes were now going in opposite directions. The four Alolan Sandshrews now influence in da wae made tongue clicks at each other before they wandered around the whole nest area to ask all of the other nest member Alolan Sandshrews if they knew da wae.
The next day on Melemele Island, Dawn was supervising Zyuoh's training, which included getting the named Solgaleo to learn Earthquake. To speed the process up, Dawn was having Germany show Zyuoh how to use Earthquake, walking Zyuoh through everything. As Dawn was supervising Zyuoh's training, she was met up by Trip and Kenny, the former chewing the latter out. "I keep saying it's not my fault!" Kenny proclaimed.
Hearing Kenny's cry, Dawn had Zyuoh and Germany take a break. "What's going on, boys?" Dawn asked.
Handing Dawn a newspaper, Trip said, "Read the front page article." Doing what Trip said, Dawn read the newspaper's front page article, which went on about a sudden shift in the behavior of Alola's population of wild Alolan Sandshrew that was noticed by researchers. The article also included a photo which showed half a dozen wild Alolan Sandshrew, all of them with crossed eyes and two of them looking like they were making tongue clicks. According to the article, it's estimated that when the paper that the article's in came out earlier that morning, at least half of Alola's total population of wild Alolan Sandshrew are now acting in such a manner.
Additionally, the article further goes on to say that at current rates, an estimated ninety-one point six percent of Alola's total population of wild Alolan Sandshrew will be acting in such a manner by the end of that week. One researcher thought that the new behavior observed in the wild Alolan Sandshrew is due to the result of a viral infection of some kind, but examining some of the wild Alolan Sandshrew revealed that all of them were perfectly healthy, that there was no sickness or virus of any kind going around. The article ends by saying that researchers are baffled as to how this sudden behavior change came about, and currently there is no explanation for it.
Lowering the newspaper that she held, Dawn looked right at Kenny and gave him the driest, most monotone of looks. "...Congratulations, Kenny," Dawn said in a dry tone, "Your shiny Sandslash has corrupted a huge chunk of Alola's wild Alolan Sandshrew population."
"Hey, in my defense I had no control over that," Kenny defended, "And what's so bad about Elay helping to spread word of da wae?"
"Knowing our classmates, they're probably going to hear about this in the news and talk about it in class later when we have school today," Trip remarked. Given that the reborn trainers had to get going to school soon, Dawn recalled Zyuoh and Germany and left to go to school.
END, CHAPTER TWO-HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN
Author's notes;
This chapter covers Dawn capturing Solgaleo, although not much is show there as most of this chapter is dedicated to the wedding of Kukui and Burnet. Aside from some grim news being talked about at the wedding (including the discovered murder of a Team Scorn member and two girls' remains being found in the waters near Mt. Pyre in the Hoenn region), the wedding goes off without a hitch. Then the class has a field trip to Mount Lanakila, where Kenny catches an Alolan Sandshrew taught about da wae by Elay; a few other Alolan Sandshrews were there and were taught da wae, but they scampered off to spread da wae to their fellows, which the reborn trainers get word of the following morning before school.
Anyway, the next chapter will feature the first Ultra Guardians mission, with the Ultra Guardians initiative having been mentioned earlier in this chapter. The next chapter will be an interesting one, so until then take care.
