Chapter Two-hundred and sixteen: Go go Ultra Rangers!
One day during class at the trainer school on Melemele Island, Kukui was going over the environmental differences for Kantonian and Alolan Sandshrew. "Leading me to believe that a recent change in environment is responsible for the recent change in behavior in Alola's population of wild Alolan Sandshrew," Kukui said as he finished up the lesson, "Any questions?"
Holding up a hand, Lana said, "Are you sure that Kenny's shiny Sandslash interacting with a few wild Alolan Sandshrew a few days ago has nothing to do with it? Because from what I've seen, wild Alolan Sandshrew are now acting like Kenny's shiny Sandslash."
"No no, I'm pretty sure a change in environment is the culprit," Kukui said, "We just need to-" Kukui was cut off when the school bell was hit rather furiously, and the Alolan Oak came into the classroom.
"Lusamine has called an alert as an Ultra Beast has been spotted!" Alolan Oak said, "Children, as you are the Ultra Guardians, you must answer this emergency!"
Nodding once in agreement, Kukui said, "It's a good thing I got this ready!" Kukui then lifted up the chalkboard to reveal a secret control panel, which he slammed the center of with his hand. This then made a bookshelf in the classroom lift up, revealing a secret elevator shaft. "Aether Foundation and the trainer school have worked on this together," Kukui said to the heroes and their classmates, "In an effort to-"
"How did you guys get all of this prepped so quickly?" Serena asked.
"You guys seriously built a secret mission control base under the classroom?" Lana asked.
"You're willing to go this far to help us fight Ultra Beasts but you have on multiple occasions asked us to avoid confronting Team Scorn if possible?" Lillie questioned.
"No time for questions, get in position!" Kukui said, ushering the heroes and their classmates into the platform before they all went down into the base hidden under their classroom. As they went down, they were automatically dressed in their Ultra Guardian outfits.
Once they were in the base, they were surprised to see Lusamine's Clefable, who directed their attention to the big screen, which lit up to show Lusamine accompanied by Wicke and Burnet. "Glad you kids can make it," Lusamine said, "An Ultra Beast has just appeared."
"What all do you have so far, ma'am?" Kiawe asked.
Lusamine showed the Ultra Guardians footage from a show filming earlier, depicting a Buzzwole emerging from an Ultra Wormhole. "This Ultra Beast, which we have dubbed as Buzzwole, appeared out of an Ultra Wormhole randomly before taking on several fighting type Pokémon."
"Wow, it looks strong," Serena said in a worried tone.
"Don't worry, Serena, we can handle it!" Ash declared.
Lusamine nodded once in acknowledgement of Ash's confidence. "Indeed. Ultra Beasts are now considered to be Pokémon, and as such to stop them they need to be caught. Buzzwole's actions here are believed to be a result of Buzzwole being stressed due to entering a foreign environment, so it must be caught and released back into the Ultra Wormhole it came out of so that it can go home."
As Lusamine's cue, Clefable brought the heroes and their classmates a box full of Beast Balls, as well as a first aide kit filled with various healing goods. After the Ultra Rangers were supplied they were sent back up the elevator and made to select Ride Pokémon to fly to the scene of Buzzwole's rage. Ash got a Garchomp, Sophocles got a Metang, Mallow got a Flygon, Lana got a Dragonair, Lillie got an Altaria, Kiawe got his Charizard who he was surprised to see there, Serena got a Skarmory, Trip was given a Braviary, and Kenny got a Pidgeot.
Dawn when she was told a Fearow that was prepped for her was sick, simply called out her Latios Lincoln and used him. The river near the trainer school opened, and the heroes and their classmates all flew out to fly to the scene of Buzzwole's raging.
...
As the heroes flew, they got a report from Lusamine. "Buzzwole seems to have landed at a lake near Mahalo Trail," Lusamine said, "It seems to be looking at its own reflection in a lake and flexing its muscles."
"To the place with the thing!" Kenny declared as he flew on ahead, leading the others as a pair of small purple creatures, not that the Ultra Rangers saw them, looked up at them as the flew by. Eventually, the heroes came upon the scene where Buzzwole was at, and it looked to be fighting a wild Snorlax.
Dawn, remembering that episode from the anime of her previous life, did not want to be creeped out by seeing a deflated Snorlax, so when they heroes got close enough, Dawn pointed at Buzzwole and said, "Lincoln, blast Buzzwole with Psychic!"
The named Latios's eyes glowed with psychic energy, conjuring a telekinetic blast of that same energy that slammed right into Buzzwole, pushing it back away from the Snorlax to prevent it from suffering weight loss horror. As the Buzzwole scrambled to pick itself back up, the heroes called out some their Pokémon. Buzzwole, as if it were trying to intimidate the heroes, began posing as it flexed its very big muscles. "That won't impress much as I see muscles flex all the time!" Kenny said as he tossed up a Poké Ball, "Okay, Zarbon! Let's make it cringe!" Coming out was Zarbon, Kenny's named Machamp. "Zarbon, show that Buzzwole there that it ain't the only one packing big bulging muscles!"
With a moan that resonated with aroused, sensual pleasure, Zarbon proceeded to strike several poses as he flexed his bulging, rock hard muscles. Surprisingly, this apparently made Buzzwole happy as it gave a cheer that sounded happy, before it continued to exchange muscle flexing poses with Zarbon. "...This is not what I had in mind, you guys gotta believe me," Kenny said to Dawn and Trip.
Shrugging, Dawn said, "At least Buzzwole's distracted." To Ash, Dawn said, "Oh Ash, since Buzzwole's distracted you oughta catch it."
Ash nodded once in understanding before he expanded a Beast Ball and threw it at Buzzwole while saying, "Go, Beast Ball!" The Beast Ball flew at Buzzwole, bumped into it, took it inside, then landed on the ground before shaking for a bit before making a ping sound, indicating capture. As the Buzzwole was caught, the heroes and their classmates all let out a sigh of relief. As they contacted Lusamine to tell her of the success, the two small purple beings were now spying on them, watching the heroes with noted interest.
...
The heroes and their classmates then went to Melemele Meadow, where they were told by Lusamine to meet her. There, they met Lusamine who was accompanied by Kukui, Burnet, and Wicke. "Buzzwole's Ultra Wormhole originally opened here, and with the machine I got here," Burnet said as she patted the machine next to her, "We can open back up Buzzwole's Ultra Wormhole and send it home. By the way, the machine's not only way stronger and more secure than what would of been possible, but it's been ready way sooner. This is due in part to Dawn helping out as she caught Solgaleo."
As Dawn nodded once in understanding, the machine was used to open up the Ultra Wormhole. "It's easier for Ultra Wormholes to open up in places they've opened up before," Lusamine noted as Ash called out the Buzzwole he caught. It was then released back into the wild and sent into the Ultra Wormhole, so as to return home to its own world in Ultra Space. With their first Ultra Guardian mission a success, the heroes are able to return to the trainer school.
Sometime later, the reborn trainers, Ash, and Serena were all in Serena's backyard, where Serena was training her Pokémon to get ready for the next Alola Pokémon Contest. Ash was helping Serena train, and it saw Serena's Pancham and Phantump versus Ash's Rowlet and Salandit. As per Dawn's suggestion, Serena was going to try and get her unevolved Pokémon trained up to help them out better when it came to evolving them; Serena also planned to capture a dark type Pokémon as it's needed for Pancham to evolve into Pangoro.
Right now, the training was partly to strengthen Phantump before a trade was done to evolve it into Trevenent, then it will be traded back to Serena. "Your Pokémon are looking great, Serena!" Ash called out, "It just shows how great of a trainer you are!"
Serena blushed a bit under the praise from Ash, but still smiled sincerely. "Thanks, Ash! Your Pokémon are great too!"
As Ash and Serena trained, Dawn who sat back with Kenny and Trip nodded once in approval. "Ash is doing well to keep Serena properly motivated," Dawn remarked, "It will go a long way to help Serena through the Alola Pokémon Contest circuit."
Kenny looked to the battle, where Ash's Rowlet's sleepy nature helped to let Phantump land a hit on it with Branch Poke. Salandit tried to shoo Phantump away with Flamethrower, but Pancham was able to counter with Dark Pulse. "Even unevolved, Serena's Pancham and Phantump are decent," Kenny said, "But some of the Contest powerhouses we know Serena will face will be packing evolved Pokémon that-"
Kenny was cut off when he, Dawn, and Trip heard the sounds of a Pokémon evolving; turning to look, they saw that Ash's Salandit AND Ash's Rowlet were both evolving; by the time the evolutions were finished, Ash now had a Salazzle and a Dartrix. "Wow, Ash!" Serena said, "Your Pokémon both evol-"
"TRIX!" Ash's Dartrix cried out, looking sharp, awake, alert, serious; it rushed Phantump and struck it with a powerful Pluck attack, hitting Phantump hard and knocking it out. Dartrix then gave a boastful cry, as if it felt that it had proven itself capable.
Salazzle was about to blast Pancham with a Flamethrower but stopped the moment Ash called out, "Time out, you two!" Salazzle and Dartrix immediately came to attention, then turned to face Ash. "Look, I understand that you're both proud of yourselves for evolving, but Dartix you got carried away, and Salazzle you almost did the same. This wasn't a battle to win, it was just a simple training session to help Serena's Pokémon." Looking to Serena, Ash said with an apologetic look on his face, "I'm sorry that my Pokémon were getting carried away due to evolving, Serena."
Serena let out a troubled sigh, saying, "I can't blame you Ash, it was your Pokémon who got excited. Although seeing Phantump get knocked out reminded me of how I had lost to Ochaco in my first Contest..."
"Actually Serena," Dawn said, getting Serena's attention, "I would say that at this point, you're ready to evolve Phantump. Just let it rest the night, and we can handle its trade evolution in the morning."
Looking to Ash's Dartrix, Trip said, "And Dartix here seems to be the opposite of itself when it was a Rowlet. Back then it was sleepy and liked to hide in Ash's bag, but now it's alert and keen." Seeing how vigilant that Ash's Dartrix was being, Trip said, "Perhaps a bit too keen..."
"Dartrix being serious now is a major improvement from its personality as a Rowlet, I ain't gonna lie," Kenny said, "But maybe it needs to learn to chill a cycle."
Ash looked to have a considering look on his face. "...Maybe Dartrix just needs to let off steam. It did just evolve after all." Ash then resolved to have Dartrix spar with his Litten, figuring that Litten being unevolved but having a type advantage would even the playing field. "Dartrix, use Leafage!" Ash said, "Litten, counter with Fire Fang!" Ash's two Pokémon then began a back and forth sparring, with Litten able to keep up initially due to type advantage. However, Dartrix was gaining more and more steam as the sparring went on, eventually pushing Litten.
During the sparring, Litten even showed signs of learning Flame Charge, although it was imperfect at the start. "Whoa, Litten's learning Flame Charge to help it against Dartrix in the sparring," Kenny said.
Dawn, with her critical eye, said, "But even so, it's gonna look like a win for Dar-" Dawn was cut off when, to everyone's surprise, Ash's Litten began to evolve, glowing bright white and growing and shifting in form. When it was finished, Ash's Litten had evolved into Torracat. With a defiant cry, Torracat charged at Dartrix with a now perfected Flame Charge, ramming right into Dartrix hard and knocking it out.
"Hot dang, Ash!" Kenny cheered, "Three of your Pokémon evolved in one day!"
Seeing Dartix let out a tired cry as it came to, Ash remarked, "And it seems Dartix is relaxing now, although it's not resuming its lazy sleepiness from when it used to be a Rowlet." Ash and Serena then went about treating their Pokémon before deciding to relax for the night.
The next day at trainer school, the heroes and their classmates are all eating lunch outside, aside from Ash and Serena who come walking in together. "Sorry if we're late," Ash said, "I was helping Serena evolve her Phantump." To show what Ash was talking about, Serena called out her now Trevenent, which sparkled as it came out due to being shiny.
"This is great!" Mallow cheered, "Now Serena can put Ochaco in her place in the next Contest!"
Nodding once to Mallow, Serena said, "That is the dream." After recalling Trevenent, Serena said, "So anyway, what all ar-"
"Poi!"
Serena was cut off by a random cry, then everyone was surprised to see a Poipole come flying right in, distracting everyone. Poipole flew right up to Ash's Pikachu and gave it a friendly greeting, right before nuzzling up to it. "The heck sort of Pokémon is that?" Kiawe said, "I haven't seen any of its like before."
Dawn gently shook her head. "...No clue," Dawn said, although thanks to past life knowledge she did know, "But it seems friendly, so I say we-"
"...Pole?"
Dawn stopped short when she heard another Poipole's cry, but this one sound more subdued and timid than the lively and excitable one socializing with Ash's Pikachu. The others heard the cry as well, and eventually saw a second Poipole come floating out from a bush. It looked up at Dawn, as if nervous, but Dawn smiled gently and pulled out a Poképuff and held it out to the timid Poipole. "Here, it's a sweet treat," Dawn said.
The timid Poipole, although nervous, floated closer to Dawn as the others watched. It took a sniff of the Poké Puff, liked the smell, then took a bite from it. It gave a happy, excited cry, although still not anywhere near as excitable as the Poipole chatting it up with Pikachu while Ash was distracted looking at Dawn trying to calm down the timid Poipole. The timid Poipole ate more of the offered Poképuff until it finished the sweet treat. It saw Dawn take another Poképuff out, but this time the timid Poipole floated up, sat down on Dawn's lap, and reached out for the Poképuff.
Smiling gently, Dawn offered the timid Poipole the Poképuff, which it happily took. "Aww, that is so cute!" Lana gushed as the timid Poipole ate the second Poképuff, "I bet that it-"
"Poi-poi-poi!" the excitable Poipole cried out as it flew around randomly to greet everyone. This ended up startling the timid Poipole who, as if on instinct and not even thinking about it, buried its face up against Dawn, like a child seeking safety from a parent.
"Hey!" Dawn scolded at the excitable Poipole, "Calm down! You're scaring your fellow here!" The timid Poipole pulled out from burying its face to look up at Dawn. She looked back down at the timid Poipole and, with a soft and gentle expression, asked it, "Are you okay, little one?" The timid Poipole looked up at Dawn in silence for a moment before it nuzzled back up against Dawn, clearly trusting her and wanting to stay with her.
As the excitable Poipole settled down and went back to chatting it up with Ash's Pikachu, Sophocles said, "I think we ought to let Lillie's mom know about these guys."
"You think they may be Ultra Beasts?" Serena said.
"Well if that's the case," Dawn began, knowing due to past life knowledge but still had to play along, "We're going to need Beast Balls to- ah!" Stumbling a bit as she got up as she was holding the timid Poipole, Dawn accidentally spilled her bag over, making a few things fall out. The timid Poipole left Dawn's arms to investigate and, among the spilled items was a spare standard Poké Ball. Curious, the timid Poipole poked at it making it expand, then poked at it again, causing the Pokéball to take the timid Poipole inside of itself. The Pokéball then shook for a bit before making a ping sound, indicating that Dawn caught the timid Poipole. ...Sort of.
Going over to pick up the ball that held the timid Poipole, Dawn said, "That... works too, I guess." Standard Poké Balls tend not to work on Ultra Beasts, but Dawn did remember that, in the Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon games in her past life, the gift Poipole received there came in a standard Pokéball for one reason or another. Maybe this was reflective of that. Either way, the heroes had to report the Poipoles to Lusamine.
...
"Yes, we did get images of those Ultra Beasts and yes they are Ultra Beasts," Lusamine said as she addressed the heroes and their classmates in the Ultra Guardian base although she was on the monitor, "They're called Poipole, and we've classified them as the Poison Pin Pokémon." Looking curious, Lusamine admitted, "Although I have to admit, I was surprised to learn that a standard Poké Ball worked to capture one of the Poipoles. Ultra Beasts are thought to be neigh impossible to catch unless using Beast Balls which are designed specifically to catch them easily, or Master Balls which always work but they're a pain to get and using Master Balls on the Ultra Beasts is a waste as the Ultra Beasts will be released into the wild when their Ultra Wormholes are discovered."
"So what do we do with the Poipoles?" Lillie asked.
"Since Dawn caught one already, she'll have custody of it until we find the Ultra Wormhole it came from," Lusamine said, "And as for the other Poipole, Ash will take care of it as it's proven to take a liking to him." Ash was then given a box full of Beast Balls, he took one out, and threw it at the excitable Poipole, only for it to dodge it. Before Ash tried another one, Dawn stopped him.
"Let's... show this Poipole how Poké Balls work so we can show there's no harm," Dawn suggested, then got the excitable Poipole's attention before calling out the timid Poipole. Dawn called back and called out the timid Poipole a few times to show the excitable Poipole there's no harm. After finally recalling the timid Poipole, Dawn said to the excitable Poipole, "Now will you let Ash catch you?" The excitable Poipole seemed interested in Poké Balls now, so when Ash took out a second Beast Ball, the excitable Poipole floated to it and bumped into it, going inside of the Beast Ball. It shook in Ash's hand before it made a ping sound, indicating that Ash had caught the excitable Poipole.
To Ash and Dawn, Lusamine said, "We have no idea where Poipole's Ultra Wormhole is located, so until we get word on that, make sure you two take care of the Poipoles."
"You got it, Lusamine!" Ash said, with Dawn giving an agreeing nod. And so, the Poipoles were in good hands, although Ash and Dawn will work with their respective Poipoles differently due to their widely differing personalities.
The following morning at trainer school, the heroes and their classmates were in class when Sophocles was bragging about having unearthed a Celestial Starship. "I saw its face and everything," Sophocles said, "It even smiled when it looked up at the moon!"
"...We're going to have to check this out," Dawn said while looking up from the timid Poipole, who she held in her arms like it was an infant, as she fed it some Poképuffs. The timid Poipole, for its part, clearly enjoyed how Dawn was caring for it, nuzzling up against her contentedly as she fed it.
"I say we wait until after school," Trip said, "Wait, how deep do you think it's buried, Sophocles?"
"I'd say we're gonna need to do a LOT of excavating," Sophocles replied.
Shrugging, Kenny said, "We can just get Porunga and Kurumu to do the heavy work.
...
After class, Sophocles led everyone else to see the Celestial Starship he found. Dawn and Trip were able to identify the face of it as Celesteela, one of the Ultra Beasts. "...Yeah, we're gonna do some excavating," Dawn said as she called out Kurumu and Kenny called out Porunga. The two legendary ground types proceeded to help clear the way by digging out the ground surrounding Celesteela, making more progress within moments than what the students would have been able to pull off in hours. At first, things seemed to be going well for the heroes in excavating Celesteela.
...Only for an Ultra Wormhole to randomly appear above them, and a second Celesteela came out of it, flying through the air as it cried out in a happy tone. "Another Celestial Starship just appeared through an Ultra Wormhole!" Ash said, "It must be an Ultra Beast!"
"Yeah, we're going to have to tell Lusamine about this," Kiawe said as he looked up at the second Celesteela flying around, doing circles in the air.
"Wait, I still need to do research on Celeste!" Sophocles said, "That's what I dubbed the Celestial Spaceship, based on an old story I heard ages ago."
Pointing at the flying Celesteela, Kenny said, "A second one appeared randomly to do donuts in the air! We don't have the luxury of waiting!" Sophocles, although upset, agreed and the students retreated to the ultra Guardian mission control. What they didn't see was that the second Celesteela, who was excitedly flying around, looked a bit sad to see the others take off.
...
"Yeah, it's an Ultra Beast," Lusamine said, "Or rather THEY are Ultra Beasts. We've taken to dubbing this species as 'Celesteela', as we were also inspired by the story that Sophocles told us so we're basing the name off of Celeste."
"I don't think the first Celesteela we came across came to this world recently," Mallow said, "Given that we found it buried in the ground."
Nodding once, Lusamine said, "Indeed. Readings we got suggest that the first Celesteela has been buried there for roughly two-hundred years. If you want an exact count, we're guessing two-hundred and sixteen years."
"The first Celesteela is also shown to be building up flammable gas with which we believe it'll ignite to take off," Wicke said, "The amount we're seeing from our readings suggest untold devastation will occur to the surrounding areas if it ignites its fuel."
"We'll need to contain the area as much as we can," Dawn said, "Maybe set up a barrier to try to contain the blast radius."
Wicke nodded once in agreement. "That's the only option really, as the readings we're getting also show its roots are buried too deep to permit capture with a Beast Ball. There's no stopping it from blasting off, so all we can do is try to contain the blast."
"What about the second Celesteela that popped up?" Lana asked.
"From the footage we're getting, it's just flying around," Lusamine said, "Although it seems to fly to areas with people and fly around in circles overhead, scaring the people as a result. One of you will have to go deal with the second Celesteela while the rest of you help to contain the first one's blast radius."
Holding up a hand, Trip said, "I can go deal with the second Celesteela."
"Very well," Lusamine said, "Now then Ultra Guardians, go and deal with the Ultra Beasts to protect Alola!"
"Got it!" the heroes and their classmates all said in unison, heading out on their ride Pokémon (Dawn used Lincoln again rather than an actual ride Pokémon) to go handle the latest Ultra Beast crisis to face Alola.
The Ultra Guardians, aside from Trip, got to the area of the first Celesteela, still buried in the ground partly, and didn't have much time left before takeoff. "We ought to erect a barrier around the area the buried Celesteela is in to contain as much of the blast radius as possible," Lillie said.
"So how do we do that?" Mallow asked, "created a thick wall of ice around it? The heat will melt the ice and make it shatter!"
"But the barrier will still be thick enough to contain enough of the blast to keep it from flowing out quickly," Lillie replied, "We can also fortify it with rock." As such, the Ultra Guardians got to work building a wall of ice and rock around the blast radius of the first Celesteela. The Ultra Guardians got to work, having their Pokémon who know ice attacks help to build the ice wall while fortifying it with large rocks.
Sophocles, who had a bit of a melancholy air about him as he hoping to study Celesteela more, said, "I wonder how Trip is doing handling the second Celesteela solo."
...
Over in a busy shopping area, Trip in his Ultra Guardian uniform was looking around, trying to find the second Celesteela. Walking with Trip was his named Electivire Fourze. "Alright, Fourze," Trip said, :"We're looking for a giant steel rocket ship that has a face and has some bamboo like designs in its person. We need to find it before it can-"
"VIRE!" Fourze cried out excitedly as it pointed at something, making Trip turn to see a little kiddie rocket ship ride outside of a supermarket, the kind you put coins in to ride. There was a line of young kids waiting to ride it, and one notably slender young girl was currently riding it. Seeing Fourze dance in place excitedly while pointing at the rocket ride, Trip could tell full that his named Electivire wanted to ride the little rocket ship ride.
Gently shaking his head, Trip said, "Fourze, you're a bit big to be riding-"
*VOOM*
Trip was cut off when he and everyone else in the area heard the sounds of thruster engines blast out, and everyone looked up into the air to see the second Celesteela fly overhead. It spotted the kids waiting in line to ride the mini rocket ride, so it pointed at them, cried out, then proceeded to fly around in circles. All this did was scare the kids into running to their parents, who grabbed their kids and ran.
After the area was mostly deserted save for Trip and Fourze, the second Celesteela who was flying around in the air in circles stopped when it saw that the kids waiting to ride the rocket ride were all gone. Celesteela then stopped in place and made a noise that sounded like a disappointed, mildly sad sigh. Trip, seeing the shift in the mood of the Celesteela, looked back and forth between Celesteela and the rocket ride. Eventually, the pieces all fell into place in Trip's mind. "...Hey, Celesteela!" Trip called up, getting the Ultra Beast's attention, "You just wanna fly around while people ride you, huh?" Trip called up, and to his surprise Celesteela made affirmative cries while nodding in a likewise manner.
Getting an idea, Trip said, "Fourze and I need a ride to check up on our friends, so why don't you land, let us get on, then we can take off? I'm going to have to catch you in a Beast Ball first, though!" Apparently happy it was finally going to fly around with passengers finally, Celesteela agreed and landed, then Trip proceeded to use a Beast Ball to successfully capture Celesteela, then he called it back out, he and Fourze got on, then they took off, soaring through the air while Fourze pumped both fists into the air as he cheered excitedly.
...
Over at where the rest of the Ultra Guardians got the ice and rock wall ready, Ash said, "I hope Trip will be okay in handling that second Celesteela."
"Knowing Trip," Kenny said, "He'll probably just have one of his big legendaries beat down on it, then capture it when it's down, then come right over here to-"
"SPACE KITTA!" Trip could be heard shouting, cutting Kenny off and making him and the others turn to see Trip and Fourze fly in on the second Celesteela, who likewise was cheering happily. The rest of the heroes were all surprised to see that Trip not only had apparently caught the second Celesteela, but that it seemed to be all buddy-buddy with Trip and Fourze, if the way it was happily crying out while Trip and Fourze rode it were any indication.
"Trip! You caught the second Celesteela?" Sophocles said, amazed as he and the other boys all ran over to see Trip land.
As he and Fourze stood next to the second Celesteela, Trip said, "Oh yeah, it turns out all the second Celesteela wanted to do was fly around, as well as occasionally give people rides. It didn't actually mean any harm."
As the other Ultra Guardians looked on at Trip, a jeep pulled up and out of it came Lusamine, Burnet who was driving, and Wicke. "I see one of you has caught one of the Celesteelas," Lusamine said, "And that there's an ice and rock wall build around the second one I guess."
"We just need to maintain the ice wall until the first Celesteela is able to ignite and fire itself out of the ground," Dawn said, "After that we can-"
Dawn was cut off when the ground began to rumble, followed by the sounds of rockets trying to take off. Everyone turned to look and saw smoke flying out from within the ice wall which was cracking, and within moments the first Celesteela began blasting out. "Quick, Burnet!" Lusamine said, "Use the machine in order to open the Ultra wormhole! We can send both Celesteelas back to their home world at once!"
Doing as Lusamine said, Burnet activated her machine, and an Ultra Wormhole opened up, within view of both Celesteelas. "Celesteela!" Lusamine called out to the first Celesteela which was taking off, getting its attention, "We have opened the way for you to go home to your-" Lusamine was cut off when the first Celesteela turned its attention away from her and continued to fly straight up into the air, eventually reaching the atmosphere and flying beyond that, disappearing into the inky void of space that laid beyond human view.
Everyone looked on in silence as the first Celesteela... just went off into space. "...Is that good?" Kenny asked, "I mean, sure it probably just wanted to go to space, but letting it go to space in our world?"
"We... we can at least still send back the Celesteela that Trip caught," Wicke said, "All that Trip has to do is-" Wicke was cut off when the second Celesteela which Trip caught made a 'nuh-uuh' noise as it shook its head. This caught the attention of Wicke, Lusamine, and Burnet. "...The second Celesteela... doesn't want to go back home?" Wicke said, looking as surprised as Lusamine and Burnet. The second Celesteela nodding once in the affirmative, then gestured to Trip while making random noises, overall indicating that it wished to remain with Trip.
Relaxing a bit, Lusamine said, "...Well Ultra Beasts ARE a kind of Pokémon. There are cases where Pokémon firmly wish to remain with trainers who've caught them. Are you absolutely sure you wish to remain with Trip, Celesteela?" The second Celesteela nodded once in the affirmative while giving off likewise cries. Lusamine, with a calm and accepting smile, nodded a few times, understanding that Celesteela did indeed wish to remain with Trip. At Lusamine's cue, Burnet closed the Ultra Wormhole.
Looking at Trip, Dawn said, "Well... it looks like Celesteela is staying. That said, since it's yours to keep, you planning on naming it?"
Looking up at his Celesteela, Trip said, "Imma name it Space Kitta." The now dubbed Space Kitta gave a happy cry as it was now staying as a part of Trip's rotation, allowing for the Celesteela case to come to a close. Having an actual Ultra Beast, and one that was clearly of friendly disposition, stick around would be a benefit to the research at Aether Foundation as it would let them learn even more about Ultra Beasts, so there's that too.
...There was just the issue of Dawn, Kenny, and Trip wondering how Johanna, and to a lesser extent Lila and Kenny's mom, would take the fact Trip caught a Pokémon that came to their world from a different dimension.
...
At the hotel on Akala Island, Johanna, along with Kenny's mom and Lila, were looking up at Space Kitta as Trip showed it to them. "Yeah, this is an Ultra Beast," Trip said, "It actually wants to stick with me as it likes flying around while giving people rides."
"It..." Johanna said, a bit surprised by the sheer size of Trip's Celesteela, "...It is very big."
"Pfft, wait until you see the Ultra Beast that Dawn currently has with her," Kenny said, "We haven't found it's Ultra Wormhole yet, so until then Dawn is-" Kenny was cut off when Johanna, his (Kenny's) mom, and Lila all turned around and ran off into the hotel to find Dawn, out of some sense of worry that she's alone with a Pokémon from a different dimension that could be any manner of gargantuan monstrosity.
As such, it was to their relief that they found Dawn in her hotel room, sitting in a plush arm chair as she held the timid Poipole in her arms as it slept contentedly. Dawn looked up and saw that Johanna, Kenny's mom, and Lila all showed up. "Umm... could I ask that you three to try to keep it down?" Dawn asked, "Poipole here just fell asleep. I think it's ready for nap time."
It was as the three women looked on in surprise that Trip and Kenny caught up to them. Pointing at the timid Poipole, Kenny said, "Yeah mom, Mrs. B, and Lila. That there is the Ultra Beast Dawn's looking after." The three women, Johanna especially so, were stunned; when it came to Ultra Beasts, Trip got a giant rocket ship creature that reportedly has the capability of flying off into space, and Dawn... got a baby. The women all let out relieved sighs, Johanna especially so as she felt there would be no nasty surprises in store when it came to the timid Poipole.

This chapter covers the first few encounters with Ultra Beasts, all of which go differently due to the extra people and, in two cases, extra Ultra Beasts. Luckily no harm is done in any of the cases (no real harm at least), and things are settled. Buzzwole goes back to its home in Ultra Space, Ash and Dawn each get custody of a Poipole, and the two Celesteelas are handled with one flying off into outer space and the other one firmly wishing to, and getting to, stay with Trip. Johanna, Kenny's mom, and Lila also learn of Ultra Beasts, and are surprised by the mixed selection between Trip and Dawn, but they relax as they get it that there will be no harm.
Anyway, the next chapter will see the third movie produced by Kenny Harris Studios made; it will also see some guests from outside of Alola, and some charity efforts are set up to help someone put into a bad spot. Until then, take care.
