Chapter Two-hundred and twenty-eight: Doc Brock

The heroes and their classmates were in class at trainer school on Melemele Island one day. As they waited in class for Kukui to show up, they were surprised when Clemont walked into the classroom with Bonnie. "Clemont, for the last time," Kenny began, "I'm sorry about Zarbon's outburst in the last Sex Ed lecture you hosted for the Class 1 students at this school! I won't bring Zarbon, or Roshi or Hisoka for that matter, with me to Sex Ed lessons anymore!"

"That's... umm... not why I'm here," Clemont said, "Kukui... had to go to the hosptial."

"Oh my goodness!" Dawn said, "Is Kukui-sensei alright, Clemont?"

Shrugging, Clemont said, "He sustained a head injury when a woman threw a vase at his head, but he'll be fine."

"Long story short," Bonnie said, "A friend of Mrs. Burnet's picked up a vase and chucked it at a wild Spinarak that wandered into her house on accident, but hit Mr. Kukui by mistake. The friend is apparently afraid of bug Pokémon."

Ash looked a bit somber at the mention of 'being afraid of bug Pokémon'. "...Misty is also afraid of bug Pokémon."

"Don't worry, Ash," the familiar voice of Brock called out, getting everyone's attention as he entered the classroom, "I got it from Misty's sisters that she's out of the woods. She's still recovering in the hospital, but the worst has passed."

"Brock!" Ash called out in surprise, as he and the others all got up to greet Brock. "Glad you were able to make it," Ash said, "How have you been?"

"Oh, the worst home drama I've had to deal with in ages is my little sisters arguing with each other over which of the Kenny Harris Studios movies is the best," Brock replied, "My youngest sister really likes that Clauncher and me movie, although she expressed confusion over Dawn's Pokémon that she had. I'm a bit curious about that little purple Pokémon as well."

"We... can explain Poipole later," Dawn said, "So, I got it from Sophocles who got word ahead of time from Misty's sisters that you wanted to tour Alola, as well as learn medical care ideas here in Alola to help you with becoming a Pokémon Doctor."

Brock nodded once in the affirmative. "Yep. I was told that your teacher Professor Kukui would lead the trip?"

"Professor Kukui took a vase to the head from a woman trying to strike a Spinarak instead," Kiawe said, then gestured to Clemont before saying, "Clemont here is our sub for today apparently."

Turning to look at Clemont, Brock said, "So you're Clemont! Ash told me about you, apparently he met you in the Kalos region." Folding his arms over his chest, Brock went on, "What brings you to Alola?"

"I... needed a job while Prism Tower in Lumiose City is being rebuilt," Clemont explained, "So I took a science class position here, but I didn't learn until after the fact what kind of science I was going to be teaching..."

"What's wrong with teaching an odd science class?" Brock asked.

"It's... umm..." Clemont said, "...A class that teaches the science of how the human body works and develops as it matures..."

"It's a Sex Ed class, Brock," Kenny replied, "Clemont teaches Sex Ed."

"Oh, well that's nothing to be too embarrassed about," Brock said, "I had to read up on medical cases for Pokémon related to them mating for my studies to become a Pokémon Doctor. There are all sorts of aspects about Pokémon health I have to read up on, and not all of it is stuff that can be talked about in polite company."

"You..." Serena began, "...Read up on cases... involving Pokémon having... s-sex... with each other."

"Because things can spring up from that which can require medical attention, yes," Brock explained, "As a Pokémon Doctor, I have to be prepared for all manner of things no matter how unpleasant to talk about. It's just like for doctors that work with humans." Clapping his hands together, Brock said, "Now then, why don't we do that Alola tour?" Eager for the change of topic, the heroes and their classmates all agree, and as such the field trip was a go.

Over at the local Pokémon Center, the heroes and their classmates stood by as Brock and Clemont approached the Nurse Joy. "Oh, the Nurse Joys of this region are just as exquisite as the ones in other regions!" Brock said as he began to flirt with Nurse Joy, "Surely a lady as lovely as- GAAHH!"

Brock was cut off when Bonnie dragged him away from Nurse Joy by the ear. "Sorry Brock, but Nurse Joy is off limits!"

"Yeah Brock," Clemont said, "We need-"

"-To focus on Nurse Joy's REAL destiny of marrying my big brother!" Bonnie said as she got down on one knee before Nurse Joy, only for the robot arm in Clemont's backpack to come out and pick up Bonnie to carry her away.

As the others watched that scene unfold, Dawn said, "...I will admit, I've always wondered what would happen if Brock ever flirted with a woman that Bonnie wanted to ask to marry Clemont."

Kenny, who was holding his phone, said, "I recorded the entire scene on video, and I will show it to May and Max the next time I see them."

...

After Brock helped with a medical emergency for a Pokémon that was brought in, he and the rest of the group went to the Hau'oli City Pancake Parlor. It was there that Brock was filled in on a number of important details. "...So the second in command of Team Scorn was captured and held temporarily," Brock said, "But she was busted out before any info could have been gotten from her. At least Team Scorn was deprived of the powerful legendary Pokémon they had."

"Which Dawn ended up catching after it was released from Team Scorn's ownership," Kenny said.

Clemont spat out the mouthful of drink he had in his mouth at the time. "Dawn now owns the monster that destroyed Prism Tower?!"

Dawn nodded once in the affirmative. "Don't worry Clemont, Ruby will not be getting up to any actions like that while under my ownership."

As Clemont let out a relieved sigh, Bonnie said after turning to look at Serena, "So Serena, if my math is correct, you're up to two Tiki Necklaces in Alolan Pokémon Contests. That's the halfway point before you have enough to qualify for the Alola Contest Grand Festival."

"Oh yeah, and I'll be getting the remaining two before you know it," Serena replied.

Brock perked up a bit out of curiosity when he heard the mention of Tiki Necklaces and Contests. "They have Pokémon Contests here in Alola? And what's this about Tiki Necklaces?"

"They're the equivalent of Contest Ribbons here in Alola, Brock," Ash explained, "And rather than having to win five to enter the Grand Festival here in Alola like how other region require a Coordinator to win five ribbons to enter their Grand Festivals, Alola only requires a Coordinator to win four Tiki Necklaces. Also, Coordinators who win Grand Festivals here in Alola are called Contest Kahunas, which is the same as Top Coordinator except for how it has more of a flare that appeals to local traditions here in Alola."

Brock nodded once in understanding. "I bet our friend May, were she here in Alola, would love to take part in-"

"She is here in Alola and she's already earned one Tiki Necklace," Kenny interrupted, "Also, Clemont's little sister Bonnie here is crushing on May's little brother Max. May thinks Bonnie's crushing on Max is cute."

Brock looked like he was about to speak, but Ash said, "May... will probably pull you away by the ear if you tried offering Max romance advice."

"I don't think Max would hear advice from you anyway," Bonnie said to Brock, "Given how you're in competition against Clemont."

Letting out a resigned, exasperated sigh, Clemont said, "Bonnie, Brock here is NOT in any manner of competition with me."

...

Next, the group all went to the market square, and there they met the nice old lady named Anela. "Wow, you have a nice selection of produce here," Brock remarked as he looked at what all fruit Anela had.

"Yeah, and actually Imma wanna buy an apple," Dawn said as she got some money out.

Anela chuckled in sincere good nature as she said, "Well the bounty of Alola is always fresh. I even have a sample platter if you all wanna try some of what all I have available." The group all cheered as Anela brought out the fruit platter plate, but stopped short when Serena's Clauncher came out on its own, sparkling in the process as it's shiny, and then immediately proceeded to devour all of the fruit on the platter Anela brought out.

"Ah! Clauncher, no!" Serena exclaimed. Turning to look at Anela, Serena said, "Ma'am, I am so sor-"

"Oh, I thought I recognized you!" Anela said, "You're the star of the latest movie to come out of Kenny Harris Studios! Oh, that was adorable how you were taking care of Clauncher like it was your baby!" Looking down at Serena's Clauncher, Anela went on, "And I'm willing to bet that this little one here is your co-star, both it and the Clauncher in the movie are shiny."

"Yeah, it's the same Clauncher," Kenny said, "And fun fact, the appetite Clauncher showcased in the movie was not acting, that was Clauncher being real."

Looking back down at Clauncher who had just finished devouring all of the fruit on the platter, Anela said with an amused chuckle, "Well that is certainly obvious." To the heroes, Anela said to Serena, "I really did like how you had acted like a new mom in the movie, although I also rather liked how that sweet natured plus-sized girl with the curious purple Pokémon protraied being a parent. She just exuded sweet motherly vibes that from my view makes me feel she'd be a perfect parent."

"That was me and Wyrmscale acting together," Dawn said as she paid for her apple, "And I wore a fat suit for my role."

...

Later, the group arrived at the beach, and while the boys aside from Clemont and Brock enjoyed Mantine Surfing, Brock, Clemont, and all of the girls remained on the sandy beach shore. As Bonnie was making a sand castle, she was surprised when Wyrmscale came floating over, looking at the sand castle in curiosity. Seeing Dawn's named Poipole examining the sand castle Bonnie was making, Brock asked, "Yeah, I'm still wanting to know about that odd Pokémon of yours, Dawn."

"That's Wyrmscale, my Poipole," Dawn explained, "And it belongs to a subgroup of Pokémon called Ultra Beasts." Dawn, backed up by Mallow, Lana, Lillie, and Serena, proceeded to fill Brock in on what Ultra Beasts are, as well as the dangers hostile ones can pose when they enter Alola from Ultra Space. That danger is why the heroes work as Ultra Guardians is necessary. Serena also mentioned that Ash also owns a Poipole, and that Kenny and Trip have a Xurkitree and a Celesteela respectively, but the Ultra Beasts that decided to stay with the heroes are non-hostile and benevolent. The same applies to Ideku's Nihilego.

"That does sound like some rather dangerous work," Brock remarked, "But then again, a lot of us among our social circle have done dangerous work before." Looking to Wyrmscale, Brock remarked, "And I'm glad and relieved to hear that not all Ultra Beasts are hostile threats."

"They do sound like a fascinating subject for study," Clemont remarked, "And I am curious as to the extent of the electrical power that Kenny's Ultra Beast has, as well as how electricity generated by something not of this world works in this world."

Shrugging, Mallow said, "I'm pretty sure the electricity made by Kenny's Xurkitree works much the same as electricity generated by Pokémon such as Ash's Pikachu."

Lana was about to speak up, but she got cut off when she heard the boys who were surfing crying out; looking over, everyone saw the boys being harassed by a group of Team Scorn members, led by Captain Konichi and his Captain's Assistant with the long green hair. "Team Scorn is here!" Brock exclaimed.

"It looks like they're harassing the boys for the surf Mantine ride," Dawn said as she and the others ran in to back up the boys. Although the numbers that Team Scorn had were greater than the boys, Kenny and Trip being among the boys gave their side quality over Team Scorn's quantity. And the girls plus Brock and Clemont rushing on over tipped the numbers in their favor. Within quick order, Team Scorn was defeated, and Konichi had to lead the rest of the men there in a hasty retreat.

After Team Scorn had fled, the boys turned to look at the girls plus Brock and Clemont. "Thanks for the save," Kiawe said, "We could of handled it on our own, but the extra numbers never hurt."

"And Dawn's Poipole's Dragon Pulse looked pretty solid," Sophocles remarked, "It even knocked out the Team Scorn Captain's Electabuzz in one hit!"

Dawn nodded once in acknowledgement to Sophocles. "Yes, well Wyrmscale here-" Dawn was cut off when Wyrmscale let out a happy and excited cry, making her and everyone else turn to see it. Then, to everyone's surprise, Wyrmscale began evolving; it glowed bright white as it flew up, then its form shifted and grew as it glowed. The Glowing soon faded, and when it did everyone saw that Dawn's named Poipole had evolved into a Naganadel. The now Naganadel let out a happy, excited roar as the humans all looked up at it, watching as it came back down and nudge its head against Dawn affectionately.

"I... wasn't aware that Ultra Beasts can evolve," Brock remarked.

Gesturing to Dawn's named Naganadel, Trip said, "You know, when me and Dawn's mom first saw me and Dawn's respective Ultra Beasts, she was a bit surprised by Space Kitta, but immediately relaxed upon seeing Wyrmscale although it was an unnamed Poipole at the time. I wonder how mom will react upon seeing that Wyrmscale is now a Naganadel."

Dawn then saw Wyrmscale fly over to the sand castle Bonnie was making, pick up a tiny yellow plastic shovel, and began putting and into a little bucket to add onto the sand castle. "...She may freak upon seeing Wyrmscale's new look," Dawn said, "But Wyrmscale is still the same sweetheart it was as a Poipole, so I figure mom will be able to relax quickly from being freaked." Bonnie, giggling cutely in amusement upon seeing the named Naganadel still wanting to help with the sand castle, dashed back over so she and Wyrmscale could continue building the sand castle.

The next day, the heroes, their classmates, Brock, Clemont, and Bonnie all went over to Kiawe's family's farm on Akala Island. "I don't know why you think Kahuna Olivia would be here," Kiawe said to Brock, "She travels around a lot, so there's no guarantee she'll be here."

"Then it'll be a fateful encounter," Brock declared.

As some of the Alola girl classmates rolled their eyes, Kenny turned to look at Dawn and Trip. "So guys, how did your mom react to seeing that Wyrmscale had evolved?"

"A dry monotone expression and a likewise tone when she saw Wyrmscale," Dawn answered, "To the tune of 'ah, there we go'."

Serena was about to say something, but was cut off when she and the others heard an aggressive cry. Looking over, they saw a wild Kangaskhan had wandered onto the farm. They noticed its pouch was empty, and it was Sophocles who spotted the baby Kangaskhan hiding behind the mom's leg. The baby Kangaskhan's own leg that the heroes could see had a swollen injury; seeing this, Brock immediately acted to treat the injury, helping to sooth things over by calling out his new Comfey, its moves helping to calm the understandably wary Kangaskhan mom.

After Brock treated and bandaged the injured leg on the baby Kangaskhan, it gave a happy cry before climbing into its mom's pouch before the duo returned to the wild. "As always, your doctor skills cannot be questioned," Kenny remarked to Brock.

"Yes, but there is something else that must be done," Brock said, "Me meeting Kahuna Olivia!" The rest of the group all had dry expressions.

...

The group next decided to go to Wela Volcano Park, as Brock was still searching for a meeting with Olivia. As the group walked, Dawn spotted a sign that was set up on a post near the entrance to the park. "...Attention Hikers who help with patrolling Wela Volcano Park," Dawn read aloud, "The next time that any of you are attacked by Pokémon belonging to people taking photos that you photobomb, don't complain about it. You guys really need to stop it with your habit of photobombing pictures that tourists visiting Wela Volcano Park take. Those Pokémon attacking you is something you bring on yourselves."

"Oh yeah, I heard about that," Sophocles said, "Apparently, a trio of Hikers help to patrol the area of Wela Volcano Park for security, they even get paid for their efforts, but they have a nasty habit of photobombing pictures that tourists take here. There's even been a few incidents where Pokémon attack those hikers because of how they photobombed pictures that their trainers take." Folding his arms over his chest, Sophocles added, "I even got it that when the field trip from Blackthorn City Academy had visited Wela Volcano Park, one student's Feraligatr attacked the Hikers because they photobombed a picture its trainer was trying to take."

Nodding once, Trip said, "Yeah, that was Ideku's brother Katsuku whose Feraligatr attacked some annoying hikers. He told us about it over at the big hotel here on Akala Island."

As the heroes talked, they heard Olivia's voice call out, "Oh, it's you ki- WAAHH!" Everyone turned to see Olivia come running up, but she stopped short due to tripping on a rock.

Brock immediately rushed over to Olivia and helped her up while introducing himself. "Hello, my name is Brock. I think our meeting hear was fate. I think that we should get marr- GAAHH!"

Brock got cut off when Bonnie pulled him away by the ear. "A lady as lovely as you would make a perfect wife for my big brother!" Bonnie said to Olivia, "I- HEY!"

This time, Bonnie was pulled away by the mechanical robot arm that popped out of Clemont's backpack. "Ma'am, I am so sorry for my little sister just now!" Clemont apologized, looking very much embarrassed.

"Yeah I recorded the whole scene here just now," Kenny remarked to Dawn and Trip as they saw he had his phone out, "This one's also gonna be shown to May and Max the next time that we see them."

After things settled down, Dawn looked to Oliva and asked, "So ma'am, what brings you by here?"

"My duties as the Kahuna of Akala Island," Olivia said, "Also Dawn, I'm really proud of you."

Looking curious, Dawn said, "Umm... thanks, but what are you proud of me for?"

"For how you had lost a lot of weight," Olivia began to explain, "I saw that you had gotten rather fat when you were in that Clauncher and me movie from Kenny Harris Studios, but now you're back to a lean and healthy form."

"Uhh, Kahuna Olivia," Clemont said, "Dawn never lost or gained weight. She wore a fat suit for that role."

Olivia, looking mildly surprised and a bit embarrassed, said, "...Oh."

"Back on topic," Trip said, "What sort of Kahuna duties do you have to do here?"

"Aside from checking up on the Hikers patrolling this area for me," Olivia began, "Making sure they aren't too hurt from being attacked by peoples' Pokémon for their photobombing habit, I'm looking into rumors that Team Scorn is getting up to some rather foul activities here."

Folding his arms over his chest, Ash said, "Yeah, my friends and I encountered Team Scorn yesterday. They harassed me and the other guys because we were using the surf Mantine rides."

Gesturing to the heroes and their classmates, Olivia went on, "I heard rumor that Team Scorn is now in the business of hunting down Alolan region variant Pokémon to capture and sell on the black market. Apparently the Alolan variants of species found in other regions sell for quite the pretty penny, and I'm here because I heard that there was Team Scorn activity here at Wela Volcano Park recently."

Nodding once, Lillie said, "Yes, ma'am. A... former employee of Aether Foundation who was fired over an incident he honestly had no idea about ended up joining Team Scorn, probably in some bid for revenge, and helped Team Scorn use technology here to open an Ultra Wormhole and bring an Ultra Beast here into Alola. The members of Team Scorn were stopped, the Ultra Beast was caught, and the technology had been recovered, but Team Scorn and the former employee of Aether Foundation got away. As far as I'm aware, the former Aether Foundation employee is still at large with Team Scorn."

Olivia held a hand to her chin, wore a look of consideration on her face. "That doesn't sound like anything related to poaching Alolan regional form Pokémon, but I still haven't heard of it until now." To the kids, Olivia asked, "Do you know the approximate location here that the incident happened? I wanna see things anyway." The heroes and their classmates agreed, and thus they led Olivia to the approximate location of where Team Scorn and Faba were confronted by Ideku before the heroes had a chance to show up to do their Ultra Guardian duties.

"Kahuna Olivia," Kiawe began, "If you're looking into rumors of Team Scorn poaching Alolan region variant Pokémon, then why are you here at Wela Volcano Park? There aren't any Alolan regional variant Pokémon found in the wild here."

"Because Team Scorn activity happened here anyway," Olivia said, "And I didn't know about it until recently. I need to see things for myself, if only to assure myself that everything is settled and nothing further will come from it."

"It's great that you take your duties as the Kahuna of Akala Island seriously," Brock remarked.

As Olivia nodded once in agreement, Dawn asked, "So Olivia, you say that Team Scorn is apparently poaching Alolan regional variant Pokémon to sell on the black market. Do you have any idea of the prices that less than reputable collectors are paying for the Alolan region variant Pokémon?"

"An unevolved Alolan regional variant Pokémon apparently sells for more than what a minimum wage worker working full time for a year can make," Olivia began, "And that's typically a base price. Alolan regional variant Pokémon that are evolved tend to sell for well over that, and the big ones that are evolved, like Alolan Golem, can sell for a price that you'd have to be at Lusamine's level of wealth to be able to spend without feeling a sting on your wallet."

"Well it's a good thing my mom doesn't shop on the black market," Lillie remarked dryly.

Gesturing to Olivia, Sophocles asked, "Wait, wouldn't Alola's government have issues with Alolan region variant Pokémon being sold like that?"

Nodding once in confirmation, Olivia explained, "Alola's government typically doesn't like the idea of large numbers of Alolan regional variant Pokémon being taken out of Alola in large numbers. Individual trainers who only have a very small number or even just one are no problem at all if they leave Alola, it's the large scale gathering and taking out of Alola that has Alola's government up in arms."

Folding her arms over her chest, Dawn said, "So Kenny who owns an Alolan Meowth, and Trip who owns the Totem Alolan Marowak, are no problem as they only have one Alolan regional variant Pokémon each."

"Yes, exactly," Olivia replied with a nod. While everyone was there at the sight of where Ideku chased off Faba and Team Scorn, the heroes filled Olivia in on all of the details. Olivia nodded in understanding and, glad that all issues were settled for the most part and that no Alolan region variant Pokémon were poached in the process, Olivia decided that it was a good enough place for her to take her leave. Before leaving, Olivia asked the heroes to keep an eye out for any Team Scorn activity involving the poaching of Alolan regional variant Pokémon for her.

The heroes and their peers, always keeping an eye out for any Team Scorn activity regardless, agreed, now knowing that Team Scorn had another goal to work towards when it comes to their evil ways. Olivia then took her leave, thankful that there are plenty of folks willing to fight the good fight and stand up to the evil of Team Scorn.

After other topics of business were settled, Brock eventually left Alola to return home to Kanto. With things returning to normal (or at least what passes for normal for them), the heroes and their classmates resumed their life in Alola. For the reborn trainers, this saw them supervising the training of their Pokémon. Dawn especially was rather keen on getting to work on Wyrmscale, especially as it had evolved from Poipole to Naganadel.

During training, Dawn was able to get the named Naganadel to learn a few more moves. It was as Dawn was having Wyrmscale practice Flamethrower when Kenny spoke up to Dawn and Trip. "Yo, we only got one Grand Trial left to do, the one over on Poni Island I believe, before we have the Island Challenge completed," Kenny said, "After we clear that, what will come next? Taking part in the Alolan Pokémon League Conference?"

"Kukui-sensei is still doing work in getting the Alola Pokémon League set up," Dawn explained, "I'm fairly certain that we'll have some time between clearing the Grand Trial on Poni Island and when the first Alola Pokémon League Conference will be held. That being said Kenny, do you and or Trip feel like you can perform well when the both of you enter the Alola Pokémon League Conference?"

The two boys both nodded in the affirmative; Dawn herself was planning to sit out of entering the Alola Pokémon League Conference, given that whoever wins it will become the first Champion of Alola. Dawn, already the Champion of Sinnoh, if she were to enter and win would either have to give up being the Champion of Sinnoh in order to become the Champion of Alola, or choose not to accept becoming the Champion of Alola and remain the Champion of Sinnoh. And this was going to be the first Alola Pokémon League Conference ever; it'd be in bad taste if the person who won it chose not to accept the Alola Champion title.

Also, Dawn remembered how, in the anime in her previous life, it was Ash who won and became the Champion of Alola. Things have happened here that were completely different from how they went down in the anime in Dawn's previous life, so Dawn wasn't certain if Ash here could become the Champion of Alola, at least not as easily. This was especially true as there were multiple people who were bound to enter that would give Ash an ultimate challenge; Kenny and Trip for starters, although the both of them tended to scale themselves to Ash based on what he has because they feel being even with Ash made for the best battles.

There was also Ideku, and although he was still a good person who can be trusted, he was less inclined to fight Ash on an even level. This is especially true as Ideku has made it clear he has a strong desire to be a region's Champion, and wouldn't hesitate to take actions to ensure his opponents can't overcome him. Ideku has also beaten Ash in multiple region League Conferences, and unlike with Ash who when in a new region only uses what he catches in said region as well as what he brought with him, Ideku has no qualms with rotating his party as he sees fit, giving the roaming trainer from Johto another edge over the boy from Pallet Town, Kanto.

Ideku is a perceptive guy, he'd be able to pick up on how Ash when he goes to a region only uses what Pokémon he brought with him initially and what Pokémon he catches in said region. That being said, Ideku would be able to reasonably predict what all Ash would use against him in a battle, giving Ideku yet another edge. There is no denying that Ash is a strong and skilled trainer, but Ideku is as well, and he has a few edges over Ash, along with a strong desire and willingness to be less than fully fair in order to fulfill said strong desire. But Ash wasn't done growing in Alola yet; there were still some developments waiting in the wings for him.

...Including a certain metallic heavy hitter.

END, CHAPTER TWO-HUNDRED AND TWENTY-EIGHT

Author's notes;

This chapter covers adapting the events that see Brock and Misty visit Alola, although here it's just Brock because Misty is still recovering. A lot of things happen the same, although there's a few differences; Dawn's Poipole evolves into Naganadel, and the heroes run into Olivia who warns the heroes that Team Scorn is now looking to poach Alolan regional variant Pokémon apparently. Dawn, Kenny, and Trip then discuss the Grand Trial that will go down on Poni Island, as well as how there's still the Alola Pokémon League Conference to look forward to after that.

Speaking of, Dawn remembers from the anime in her previous life that Ash wins and becomes Alola's first Champion. But things here tend to happen differently, and Ash will be facing much stiffer competition, including someone who has a strong desire to be a region's Champion. But it's pointed out how Ash's growth in Alola isn't close to done yet, and there are developments waiting around the corner for him. But more on that later. Anyway, the next chapter will see shenanigans over on Poni Island for the Grand Trials there kick off. Until then, take care.
