Chapter 7

I slowly opened my eyes, greeted by the warm sunlight beaming down on me from the window above my bed. I had just experienced the most erotic dream of my life, a dream that felt incredibly real. Wait a second. Did yesterday actually happen? Did I really meet a vampire and proceed to blow and fuck him? It sounded more like a raunchy low budget porno than real life.

As I lifted my head, I noticed that I was completely naked, which is highly unusual for me. I've never fallen asleep in that state before. But I couldn't deny the great feelings coursing through my body, accompanied by a delightful tingling sensation in my private area. I reached down and lightly touched myself, and a wave of happiness washed over me. Holy shit, it must have been real. I fucked a vampire. He's probably in the other room.

Hmm, reminiscing about last night's escapades was stirring up my arousal. I couldn't help but hope that he would be up for a repeat performance. I wonder if I performed well. Well, he did say I was good. Trust the expert, Bella. You're an experienced lady now. I chuckled inwardly. Yeah, a lady who loved sucking on some stranger's cock... way to go, Bella. I always found it amusing how my mind would come up with retorts based on my thoughts. They were always so different from what I would say or do in public, but I guess everyone's inner monologue is like that. Stop having a conversation with yourself and get ready for the day. You've got a hot vampire waiting. I was right, and I swiftly grabbed my clothes and headed to the bathroom.

After doing my business, I gazed at myself in the mirror, curious if there was any noticeable change in my appearance after having sex. I turned this way and that, but aside from the big smile on my face, I looked pretty much the same. I hurriedly got dressed, and while doing so, I remembered that Demetri had intended to speak with that Aro fellow the previous night. The leader or ruler of the vampires. In just a moment, I would discover if the only life I had ever known was about to come to an end or if I would be granted a few more years to prepare. Crossing my fingers mentally, I stepped out of the bathroom and entered the living room, hoping for some good news.

As I entered the living room, there was Demetri, looking even hotter today than he did yesterday. Damn, he had a way of captivating me. I couldn't help but wonder if all vampires possessed such allure or if he was an exception. I wished he was naked, so I could jump him and continue what we had started last night. Snap out of it, Bella. Your fate is at stake here.

With a warm smile and a slight blush creeping onto my cheeks, I took a seat beside him on the sofa. I was sure he could detect my lingering arousal, just as he claimed he could last night. "Hello again," I greeted, "What's the word? Good news, I hope?"

"Good morning, Bella," he greeted with a smile. His eyes held a glimmer of excitement as he continued, "I had a conversation with Aro last night. I explained the situation to him, along with your desires and the reasons behind them. I'm delighted to inform you that he has granted your request for time to mature before undergoing the change."

I was so relieved, I practically lunged at him, giving him a big, tight hug. Damn, he felt solid. "Oh, thank you, Demetri," I exclaimed, my voice filled with heartfelt gratitude. "You have no idea how relieved I am. I wasn't ready for my human life to come to an end just yet."

"I was quite surprised that he agreed, Bella. You have no idea how rare this occasion is. In my two millennia of life with the Volturi, I cannot recall a situation like this ever occurring. Now, Aro has asked me to keep the entire situation with you confidential. We are both pushing the boundaries of the law, so it's best if as few people as possible are aware of your existence. Eventually, we will inform the rest of the Volturi, but for now, it will be only Aro and I who are in the know. Please, don't let me down. I trust you, and I've put my neck on the line as well. The secrecy surrounding our kind is our most important law."

I realized he was right. He was taking a risk by vouching for me. "I understand. I won't breathe a word of it to anyone. So, after college, I'll pretend to get a job overseas, and you will change me, right?" I wondered if it would be Demetri. I hoped it would be him.

Demetri nodded, "Yes, we have various means to create the necessary circumstances. When the time is right, we can orchestrate a believable exit for you. And yes, I will be the one to change you when the time comes."

I was overjoyed. I hadn't known what I wanted to do with my life, but this was actually exciting me, which was a rare occurrence. With eternity at my disposal, the possibilities seemed endless. I had countless questions swirling in my mind. "Could I ask you more about vampires?"

Demetri nodded, and I motioned for him to join me in the kitchen as I prepared breakfast. As I poured myself a glass of orange juice and heated up a pop tart, I couldn't help but admire his striking appearance, he looked like a Greek God seated at my kitchen table. Curiosity got the best of me, and I asked, "I couldn't help but notice that you are very attractive. I was wondering if all vampires are like that, or if it's just you?"

Demetri smirked, seemingly pleased by my remark about his attractiveness. "All vampires are extremely attractive, especially to humans," he explained. "During the transformation process, the venom coursing through one's system perfects the body in every way. I've witnessed it heal individuals who were on the brink of death, erasing imperfections and scars. The newly turned vampire will still recognize themselves, but their appearance will be markedly different from their human form."

I contemplated his words, a touch of self-consciousness surfacing. "I have quite a few scars. I tend to be accident prone."

He nodded knowingly, his smirk growing wider. "Yes, I saw every one of them, including that cute one on your rear end," he remarked playfully. "Rest assured, all your scars will vanish once you undergo the change."

I blushed as I realized he was imagining me naked. It would be a relief when my scars were gone since my arms, legs, and practically my entire body were covered in them. "That one was particularly painful, actually," I admitted. "Last year, I fell on my ass, right on a broken piece of glass. But it wasn't a vampire that had frightened me on that occasion. It was Bigfoot, if you can believe it. But don't mention it to anyone, as he asked me to keep his race a secret." Demetri burst into hearty laughter at my revelation.

Another thought occurred to me. "If I get my laptop, can you show me where you live in Italy? I'd like to see it," I asked. He nodded in agreement, and I quickly got up from the table to retrieve my laptop from my room. After turning it on, I returned to the kitchen, finishing my breakfast as I waited for it to boot up. Within a minute, he began typing in a web address and then turned the screen toward me. The display showcased a magnificent castle situated in what appeared to be the heart of a charming town called Volterra. The sight took my breath away.

"It's so beautiful," I remarked, awe-struck. "It looks like the castles you see in fairy tales. So, you and the other vampires live there, and the people around you have no idea?"

"It is truly an incredible place to live. No, the humans in Volterra have no knowledge of vampires, and there is a law that prohibits vampires from feeding in Volterra, well outside of the castle that is, making it the safest place in terms of potential vampire attacks," Demetri explained. He continued, reminiscing, "I vividly recall the time when we tore down the previous structure and constructed this castle a little over 900 years ago. We spared no expense, aiming for utmost grandeur. Over the centuries, we have renovated the castle's interior numerous times, most recently incorporating modern amenities like electricity, television, and internet connectivity. The core group of the Volturi currently consists of 21 members, making it the largest coven in the world by a significant margin. Additionally, we have many vampires working there, whom we term as guards."

I found all of this very interesting and couldn't help but ask, "Could you tell me more about the Volturi and their members?"

"Certainly, there are three rulers: Aro, Caius, and Marcus. They founded the Volturi over 3000 years ago, taking leadership from the Romanians long before I joined. It was a lengthy war, or so I've been told, but the Volturi emerged victorious. Since then, vampire society has experienced relative peace, apart from some local disturbances. The Volturi are responsible for enforcing the laws and ensuring that all other vampires stay in line and maintain the secret. It's more crucial now than ever, given the interconnectedness of the modern world. In the past, it was relatively easy to cover up any issues, but now they could easily spiral out of control if we aren't vigilant."

"As for the other members of the Volturi, my closest friend is a man named Felix, who has been with us for almost as long as I have. He is in charge of the guard. Two of our most notorious members are Jane and Alec, who are twins and are feared around the globe despite their small size. Unfortunately, they were turned at a young age, around 14, and as you pointed out it has made their lives more challenging. However, their powers are unmatched in the vampire world. Jane can cause one to feel unimaginable pain with just a glance, while Alec can completely disable one's senses, rendering them entirely incapacitated."

"I believe it was because of Jane and Alec that Aro allowed you to delay your transformation. He understands firsthand how much that opportunity would have benefited them. I could provide you with the names of everyone now, but it wouldn't do them justice. Perhaps, before you start college, I could arrange a trip for you to visit Volterra, where you could meet everyone in person. Would you be interested in that?"

"That sounds great," I replied with excitement, my mind racing at the prospect of going to Italy and seeing what sounded like what was going to be my future home. "I've actually never been out of the country before. I would love to meet everyone."

"Perfect, we'll make the arrangements after you graduate from high school."

As I walked over to the sink to place my dish and cup, another thought struck me. "Demetri, how often do you need to eat? Will you be alright while you're here?"

"I typically eat once every two or three weeks. I could stretch it out longer, but it does become quite bothersome, and you start feeling weaker the longer you go without. Now, for a vampire, I'm considered quite old. Younger vampires or newborns, on the other hand, need to eat much more frequently. A newborn vampire practically needs to feed every day when they're first turned. However, with time and practice, by the end of their newborn year, they should have learned enough control to sustain themselves on about one feeding per week. As for my stay here, I should be perfectly fine for the duration."

"Where do you go to find your meals if you can't feed in Volterra?" I asked, my curiosity piqued as I envisioned what my future life might be like.

"I usually go to Florence or Rome. When hunting for criminals or undesirables like I prefer, it's best to target a large city where one can find individuals who won't be missed or sought after. However, it's probably best not to dwell on such thoughts for now, considering you're still human. It must sound unappealing to you at the moment, but that will change once you become a vampire."

"True, but it's good to know what life might be like. What about your job? What do you do for the Volturi other than tracking?"

"Well, I hold a rather high position within the organization. I am usually dispatched on diplomatic missions to other covens. Many vampires also prefer a nomadic lifestyle, and my gift allows me to easily locate them. This used to be crucial before the advent of cell phones, as it could have been centuries before you reunited with a previous acquaintance. Some of the older vampires still resist embracing modern technology and prefer to maintain their traditional ways of living, but the vast majority adapt to the changing times."

"When we're assigned a potentially dangerous mission, the main group that goes typically includes me for navigation, Felix for his strength, he's quite a giant, you'll be surprised when you meet him, and the twins to pacify the situation so it does not get out of hand. If necessary, most trials take place back in Volterra. What you witnessed last night was a rare occurrence. That man had already been convicted and had made a break for it, and I was hunting him down."

"What did he do?" I asked, my curiosity piqued.

"He was hunting and feeding without making any effort to conceal his tracks," Demetri replied with a stern expression. "Leaving drained bodies for humans to discover is a major violation. We issued a warning, but he failed to heed it. I must emphasize, Bella, that vampire laws are not lenient. It's always in your best interest to adhere to the law."

I nodded in agreement, fully understanding the importance of following the rules. As Demetri and I continued our conversation about vampire culture, I couldn't contain my curiosity any longer and eagerly asked him about what life was like in the past. Hearing his firsthand accounts was truly captivating, and I felt privileged to converse with someone who had witnessed so much history. The afternoon rolled in, and after I finished lunch, a different hunger started to stir within me, one that had nothing to do with dessert.

I flashed Demetri a sweet smile, a mischievous glimmer in my eyes. "You know, I'm still feeling a bit hungry. Do you happen to have anything I could suck on for a while?" I maintained an innocent expression, knowing exactly how it would affect him. Soon enough, a wide grin spread across his face, indicating that he caught on to my playful suggestion.

"I thought you would never ask," Demetri replied with a mischievous smirk. In a flash of vampire speed, his pants and underwear vanished, leaving his lower half completely exposed as he settled into the kitchen chair. His dick was not yet hard, and I couldn't help but smile at the thought of it growing hard in my mouth.

I walked over and got on my knees, wrapping my small hand around his erection. It had some weight to it, and I could feel it respond to my touch, starting to grow. Without hesitation, I took it into my mouth, able to take more of it as he wasn't fully hard yet. As I sucked on it, my tongue explored its contours, relishing the new experience. I wanted to savor it, like a pacifier, for as long as possible. Soon enough, he became fully aroused, and I enthusiastically bobbed my head back and forth, reveling in the taste and the arousal I was feeling while blowing him.

But just as I was fully getting into a rhythm, my phone rang. I momentarily stopped, keeping my lips around his member, and glanced at my phone on the countertop. Should I answer it? I was kinda indisposed here. It rang again, and I thought it might be my mom. I didn't want her to worry and call someone to come check on me. With a slight popping sound, I released his dick from my mouth. "Hold on a second," I smiled at him. "Don't move, I'll deal with whoever it is." I stood up and walked over to the phone, discovering that it was indeed my mom calling.

I turned my head back to Demetri and saw him sitting there with his dick standing at full attention. I giggled and said to him, "It's my mom. I can't believe I can finally say she's 'cock-blocking' me." I worked to suppress my glee as I answered the call.
