Chapter Two-hundred and thirty-eight: The Manalo Conference, part three
It was supposed to be a moment of crowing achievement for Ash, given that he had just won the Manalo Conference and thus became the first Champion of Alola. However, an Ultra Wormhole appeared over the stadium and a Guzzlord dropped out of it before it started to go berserko-freako. Right away, many of the trainers who were there rushed in to try and deal with Guzzlord.
"Alright, Deelia!" Trip said as he sent his named Dialga out, "Let's rock it!"
Expanding one of the Master Balls that held one of his on-hand Pokémon, Kenny said, "Okay, Poru-"
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Kenny was cut off when he and the others heard a scream nearby that sounded like it came from another Guzzlord. "That sounded like it came from the shopping mall area!" Lana said, "We need to-"
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
*SPLASH*
"That sounded like it came from the harbor!" Mallow said, "Don't tell me that there are three of those monsters here!"
Looking to the heroes and their classmates, Dawn said, "Guys, we're gonna have to deal with this! Kenny, Trip, how are your Pokémon that battled earlier today?"
"They've recovered from fainting," Trip said, "But they're still resting. At least Deelia is active."
"Same goes for the cringe posse," Kenny replied, "Only Porunga is fresh."
Nodding once, Dawn said, "Okay. Here's the plan. I will go deal with the probable Guzzlord at the shopping mall, Trip will go to the probable one over at the harbor, and Kenny will stay here to deal with the one here. Everyone else, pick someone to go with, but try to keep the groups as even as possible!"
"Got it!" the heroes all said in unison. The heroes broke off into groups, with Ash, Serena, and Lillie going with Dawn, Lana and Mallow going with Trip, and Kiawe and Sophocles staying with Kenny. Gladion also said he could help, but he ended up being directed to helping with evacuating the civilians out of the stadium while Kenny's team remained behind to fight the Guzzlord there.
The impromptu Ultra Guardians mission was a go.

Dawn, Ash, Serena, and Lillie rushed out to the shopping mall area to confront the Giuzzlord out over there. As they got into the area, they saw that it was already greatly ravaged, with buildings and such wrecked and brought down. The heroes then did see the Guzzlord in that area, and Dawn recognized it as a shiny Guzzlord. Dawn did remember this part from the anime in her previous life; there was a shiny Guzzlord involved in things during the attack on the award ceremony, although that made things no less dangerous.
As soon as the heroes arrived on the scene, they immediately went on the attack. "Snowy!" Lillie said as she sent out her Alolan Vulpix, "Use Powder Snow!"
"Delphox!" Serena called out as she sent in her Delphox, "Use Dazzling Gleam!"
"Naganadel!" Ash said as he sent out his Naganadel, "Use Dragon Pulse!"
"Tsukune!" Dawn said as she sent out her Palkia, "Use Spacial Rend!"
The four attacks all flew right at the shiny Guzzlord and blasted into its back, actually pushing it off to the side. It was barely able to pick itself back up, but a second Spacial Rend from Tsukune knocked it out cold outright. As the shiny Guzzlord laid there in defeat, the heroes there breathed a sigh of relief. "Whew," Lillie said, "I don't think that this one here is getting up anytime soon." Turning to look at the others, Lillie went on, "What do you think-"
"-Ash! Serena! Dawn!"
Lillie was cut off when she and the others heard the panicked cry of Bonnie, Clemont's little sister. They all turned to look, and there they saw it as Bonnie came running up to them. "Some guy with purplish hair pushed me out of the way of some stuff that was falling off from a building that got wrecked," Bonnie cried, "Clemont's trying to dig him out from under the rubble with help from Max and Max's big sister, but I'm really worried the guy won't be gotten out of there in time!"
"...I'm gonna have to stay here in case this Ultra Beast comes to," Dawn said, "Ash, Serena, Lillie, you go see to helping Bonnie and her group." Ash and the others nodded in the affirmative and ran with Bonnie to go help out where she and the others were at.
When they arrived, Ash, Serena, and Lillie saw Clemont, with assistance from May and Max, were trying to unbury someone that was trapped underneath some rubble from a building that was wrecked. Serena had her Delphox use Psychic to simply levitate the rubble out of the way and move it off safely to the side, thus freeing the person who was trapped underneath it previously. However, it was then that Ash and the girls saw who it was that was trapped under the rubble as a result of pushing Bonnie out of the way so that she avoided that fate herself.
"Paul!" Ash cried out as he recognized his rival from the Sinnoh region, the former jerkwad now on a never-ending quest to redeem himself. The Sinnoh region native was knocked unconscious, but the heroes could tell from just looking from where they were that Paul was still alive. "We need to get this guy who quite possibly had saved Bonnie's life to safety," Clemont said, "He's out of it, and very clearly injured!"
"Well we can't move him off the island until the chaos with the Ultra Beasts that appeared has been settled," Ash said, "Although me, Serena, Lillie, and Dawn had just taken out one of the three."
"And the other two?" May asked, clearly looking freaked.
...
"Deelia, use Roar of Time!"
The shiny Guzzlord at the harbor was blasted along its side by a devastating Roar of Time attack from Trip's named Dialga. With backup from Mallow's Tsareena and Lana's Primarina, Trip soon had the second shiny Guzzlord defeated. The shiny Guzzlord laid on the pier, unable to move doe to the beating it had taken. "Whew, we got it beaten," Mallow said as she wiped her brow with the back of her right hand.
"Now we just need to wait for Professor Burnet, Lusamine, and Wicke to show up with their machine to open up an Ultra Wormhole to send this one here back home to its homeworld," Lana remarked.
Trip turned his attention to where the shiny Guzzlord laid defeated on the pier. Although he sort of remembered this from the anime in his previous life, Trip was still pissed that the Guzzlords decided to show up now of all times. This was supposed to be Ash's moment of glory, damn it! Trip was very much unamused that a couple of Guzzlords decided out of the blue to gatecrash the festivities.
He wanted to go see how the other groups handling Guzzlords were doing, but he knew that he had to stay there to help keep an eye on things, just in case the Guzzlord here was able to come to. Trip was one of the only people there capable of dealing with a Guzzlord in direct battle, and leaving Mallow and Lana here alone with one that could potentially come to would be disastrous for them.
Trip had to have faith that everyone else was doing fine.

"Porunga, Dragon Pulse!"
The call from Kenny prompted his named Zygarde to conjure and blast a Dragon Pulse right at the Guzzlord in Manalo Stadium, hitting it hard after it was ravaged by some other assaults from Kiawe's Turtonator and Sophocles's Vikavolt. After the blasting pulse of dragonic power from Kenny's legendary Pokémon, the Guzzlord went down, bringing peace to the area of Manalo Stadium.
As Kenny breathed a sigh of relief, Kiawe said, "What... what sort of Ultra Beast is that thing?"
"Who cares?" Sophocles said, his breath a little shaky as he was still trying to get over the shock of having dealt with such an Ultra Beast, "We got its butt kicked eight ways to Sunday! There's no more need for worry!"
"Don't be too sure," Kenny said, "We still need to wait for mission control from the Ultra Guardian work we do to get here and help send these big boys back home where they came from. After that, we-"
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Kenny was cut off when the Guzzlord screamed as it tried pushing itself back up, making Kenny, Kiawe, and Sophocles turn to see the Guzzlord try pushing itself back up for round two. The boys were about to order their Pokémon to attack again, but before they could call for a volley of attacks from their Pokémon, a volley of attacks from the stands of Manalo Stadium struck Guzzlord on its side, pushing it back. The attacks were a Swift, a Dazzling Gleam, and a Moonblast.
Kenny, Kiawe, and Sophocles all turned to see that it was Mina the pink ninja girl, dressed in her casual wear outfit and not her pink ninja girl outfit from the Kantonian Gym tourist attraction. Mina had three Pokémon out with her, those being a Jolteon, an Espeon, and a Sylveon, all of which were shiny. "Yo Kenny!" Mina called out, "You and the boys there want I should help out?"
"Hot damn, it's the cavalry!" Kenny cheered, "Yeah, keep firing attacks at the big ol' boy here!"
Mina nodded once before she gestured forward. "Jolteon, use Swift again! Espeon, use Dazzling Gleam again! Sylveon, use Moonblast again!" Mina's trio of shiny Eeveeloutions all conjured and cast their attacks at the Guzzlord, pushing it back down again. A Dragon Pulse from Porunga finished the Guzzlord off, and this time the boys were sure it was going to stay down.
After the Guzzlord went down, Mina recalled her Pokémon then went out to greet the boys. "You're the girl who runs the Kenny Harris Studios fansite," Kiawe said.
Nodding once, Mina replied, "Yeppers, that's me!" Turning to look at Kenny, Mina went on, "Although a lot of the heroism here ought to be accredited to you, Kenny. Quite the bit of heroism if I do say so myself." Putting her hands on her hips, Mina added, "Why, I haven't seen such herosim since this one incident where..." Trailing off a bit, Mina wore a knowing look as she looked Kenny right in the eye. "...This one guy who I knew ran out into the street to push a cute little fluffy one out of the path of an oncoming vehicle, getting hit and killed as a result."
Kenny's eyes widened a bit out of surprise. "...You... you don't say."
...
After the Guzzlords were all defeated, Lusamine came by with Burnet and Wicke. Spare Beast Balls were used to capture the Guzzlords, and Burnet used her machine to open up an Ultra Wormhole to send the Guzzlords back to their homeworld. With the Guzzlords sent back and the Ultra Wormhole sealed back up, peace had settled on Manalo Island, allowing for the resuming of celebrating Ash becoming the first ever Champion of Alola. However, there was still the damage that had been caused, so a bit of cleanup effort would be needed there. But there was nothing too bad, considering the circumstances.
The rest of the heroes' class was shocked to learn that, during the chaos of the Guzzlords rampaging, Paul the former jerkwad was injured pushing Clemont's little sister Bonnie out of the way of some falling debris from a wrecked building, saving Bonnie from taking the fate that he himself took. Everyone was relieved to hear that Paul had survived, but he was badly hurt, and an air helicopter was called in so Paul could be loaded in and taken to a hospital on the mainland. Reggie who was also on the island but was unharmed went along, given he's Paul's older brother.
Ash and his peers were aware of Paul's continuing quest to redeem himself, his 'redemption arc' as Kenny puts it. Some weren't entirely sure if this one act was enough to clear Paul's bill, but pretty much all of them agreed that it would go a very long way to helping everyone see that the former jerkwad was... well, no longer a jerkwad. Dawn did cite some concern on how those particularly hurt by pre-redemption arc Paul would react if asked if they'd consider forgiving Paul for his actions that he had carried out against them, but some wounds took longer and needed more in order to heal.
But there was some good, at least good that only Dawn, Kenny, and Trip kept to themselves; Mina, the pink ninja girl, turned out to be a reborn trainer herself. Kenny was able to confirm this after getting her alone and asking her a few specific questions, questions Kenny knew Mina would only be able to answer correctly if she, same as him and the Berlitz siblings, was a reborn trainer. To make things even more interesting, Mina was Kenny's girlfriend from their previous life, a relationship that Dawn that saw Kenny and Mina would be starting up again.
Upon getting it that Mina was going to be joining the reborn trainers for their inter-regional escapades, Dawn asked for what sort of Pokémon Mina owned. As it turned out, Mina only owned a dozen Pokémon total, the ones she doesn't have on hand are kept at a Pokémon Lab in Kanto that isn't Professor Oak's lab. Among Mina's current on-hand team were a shiny Jolteon, a shiny Espeon, a shiny Sylveon, a Gardevoir that Mina said is a boy, a Lucario that Mina said is a girl ("Dawn's Lucario is also female," Kenny noted), and a Dragonite.
Also, unlike Dawn and the boys, Mina had no interest in chasing gyms or leagues, or Contests and the like. She just wants to embrace and let out her inner fangirl, as well as look for ways to make some scratch on the side. She actually moved to Alola to find work, and got it at the Kantonian Gym tourist attraction. She also got to set up the Kenny Harris Studios fansite, and said a lot of the content from the movies had reminded her quite a bit of the boyfriend she had in her previous life before she had reincarnated into the world of Pokémon.
"Well, I do think it's best if the lot of us stick together," Dawn remarked, figuring it was for the best if all persons who were reborn into that world and knew of one another stuck with each other. They also swore to not let the secret out to anyone ever.
As such, Mina ended up joining the group, citing how she had free time anyway due to the Kantonian Gym tourist attraction being consumed in a fire, leaving everyone working there out of a job. Dawn, shocked to hear that the Kantonian Gym was burned down in a fire, asked Mina if she knew what happened. Shrugging, Mina said, "I dunno, maybe someone farted on an open flame nearby?"
Dawn, with the driest of looks, said, "Yup, yeah, you're totally Kenny's girlfriend."
"Oh, by the way," Trip said to Mina, "Just curious, but how did you die in your previous life?"
"Died in a fire," Mina replied, the casual hint of her tone making it clear she wasn't bothered, and she also lacked any sort of trauma. Dawn was partly worried that Mina may end up being a second Kenny personality wise, but regardless she could tell that Mina was a good person. And she did start up and maintain the Kenny Harris Studios fansite, so it might be a good idea to maintain a healthy relationship with her.
The reborn trainers got a room at the hotel on Manalo Island to be along in so they could get Mina up to speed with what all they've experienced, as well as learn what all Mina may remember from the anime in her previous life. Unfortunately for them, Mina actually stopped watching the anime in her previous life after the Alola saga had ended, so once their business in Alola was done Mina's past life knowledge of the anime would be moot. "Yeah, I was more into the games than the anime," Mina said, "Made it my goal to shiny hunt enough Eevees to have one of each Eeveeloution as a shiny which I accomplished, both in the games in my past life AND here in my new life here."
"...You have one each of the Eeveeloutions as a shiny," Trip said, "So Jolteon, Flareon, Vaporeon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon."
"My other Pokémon are a male Gardevoir, a female Lucario, a Dragonite, and my first ever Pokémon in this world," Mina said. She took out a Pokéball, expanded it, and tossed it up to call out a male Eevee who had a scar going down over one of its eyes. "This here is Scar, my first Pokémon partner and my only Pokémon that has a nickname," Mina said. Dawn tilted her head to the side slightly and saw that Scar wore a collar with an Everstone firmly fixed to it. "Scar and I shall find and obtain the perfect fandom, and make serious bank in the process!" Mina declared, "It's Scar and I against the world!"
Gesturing to Mina, Kenny said, "Uhh Mina, babe, you're rolling with us now, so at least let us back you up."
Nodding once, Mina replied, "Fair enough."
The next day, although cleanup was still going on over on Manalo Island, the exhibition match was still able to go on. Up in the VIP viewing room, Dawn was back to her seat that she had, and Iris to hers. They were joined by May and Max, as well as Kenny, Trip, and Mina. "So what do we know about this battle that's gonna go down between Ash and Serena?" Mina asked.
"Serena's only got six Pokémon under her ownership total," Dawn began to explain, "Those are the six that she'll be using. Delphox, Pangoro, Sylveon, Trevenant, Zoroark, and Clawitzer."
"As for Ash," Trip went on, "He's working with a much larger pool of options, made up of a mix of Pokémon he brought with him to Alola and ones he's caught and raised here. In total, Ash has Pikachu, Greninja, Goodra, Decidueye, Vikavolt, Salazzle, Inciniroar, Lycanroc, Araquanid, Naganadel, Eevee, and Melmetal that he can pick from to form the team he will use against Serena here."
May wore a serious look on her face, folded her arms over her chest. "...I'm calling it right now, Ash is gonna win."
"You never know," Iris said, "Not all of the Pokémon that Ash has to pick from are fully evolved, whereas the six that Serena has are. Ash may choose to pick a less than powerful option when he goes in to battle Serena for their exhibition match."
"...Would now be a bad time to mention that I know what Ash's team against Serena will be," Kenny began, "And it consists of Pikachu, Decidueye, Inciniroar, Greninja, Goodra, and Naganadel?"
Turning to look back down into the arena, Iris said, "...So what will we do later to celebrate Ash's win against Serena here?"
Down in the arena, Kukui who stood off to the side called out, "Thank you all for coming to this exhibition battle between Alola's first Champion and Alola's first Contest Kahuna! This will be a full battle, single style, substitutions are allowed whenever, and the last trainer with any Pokémon left standing will be declared the winner! Alright folks, let's kick things off here!"
When Kukui threw his hand into the air, it was the signal for Ash and Serena to begin their exhibition battle. Both were nervous, Serena especially so as she was battling the boy who had stolen her heart. But seeing the look on Ash's face calmed Serena down; Ash although he was excited to battle was treating things here as a for fun kind of deal, a friendly battle between friends. That gave Serena the confidence to swallow her uncertainty and push on ahead with the battle, as she and Ash both sent out their respective first Pokémon.
"Go, Clawitzer!"
"Decidiueye, I choose you!"
The battle saw Serena's shiny Clawitzer against Ash's Hisuian Decidueye. Gesturing forward, Serena called out, "Clawitzer, use Dark Pulse!"
"Decidueye, use Triple Arrows!" Ash commanded.
Clawitzer conjured and cast a Dark Pulse, but it flew at Decidueye the moment that Decidueye's Triple Arrows flew right at it. Both Pokémon were hit, but Decidueye was hardly phased while Clawitzer reeled back as it cried out in great pain. Then, the light of a failing Illusion flashed over Clawitzer, revealing that it was actually Serena's shiny Zoroark who was barely handing in there after eating a Triple Arrows from Decidueye. "I thought that Decidueye was part ghost type," Serena said, "Wait, your Decidueye is special."
"Yeah, mine is a variant that's part fighting type rather than part ghost type," Ash explained, "And his Scrappy ability lets his fighting and normal moves hit ghost Pokémon. Anyway, we still have a battle to do!" Punching forward, Ash called out, "Decidueye, use Leaf Blade!"
"Zoroark, return!" Serena said as she called back her nearly fainted Zoroark, "Go, Delphox!" After the swap, Serena had her Delphox out, and it took the Leaf Blade from Decidueye like a champ. Gesturing forward, Serena called out, "Delphox, use Psychic!"
"Decidueye, return!" Ash said as he swapped his Pokémon around, "Greninja, I choose you!" After the swap, Ash's Greninja was out, and it easily tanked the Psychic from Delphox due to being immune to psychic thanks to its partial dark typing. Then, Ash and Greninja immediately synched up, triggering Greninja's transformation into its Ash-Greninja form.
Alarmed that her Delphox may go down, Serena called out, "Delphox, use Dazzling Gleam!"
"Greninja, Double Team!" Ash called out. Ash's Greninja leapt up into the air, avoiding the Dazzling Gleam from Delphox in the process, and conjured loads of doppelgangers of itself. "Use Water Shuriken!" Ash called out, prompting Greninja and all of its dopelgangers to conjure up and throw loads of Water Shurikens right at Delphox, pleting it in a rainfall of attacks that made it cry out. When the dust settled, everyone saw that Delphox was laying on the battlefield in defeat.
Holding up a hand, Kukui said, "Delphox is unable to battle! The winner is Greninja!"
Serena recalled her fainted Delphox as the audience cheered over how the battle was going so far. Up in the VIP room, Dawn was figuring that Serena lost a fair bit of her power just now with Delphox going down, especially as its Dazzling Gleam would be helpful against a number of Ash's Pokémon. Serena was going to have to rely a lot on Sylveon if she wanted to deal super effective damage with fairy moves.
Speaking of, Serena tossed up another Pokéball as she called out, "Go, Sylveon!"
"Greninja, return!" Ash said as he swapped his Pokémon around, "Naganadel, I choose you!" Coming out from the Beast Ball that Ash tossed up was his Naganadel; although a dragon, it was also part poison type. None of Serena's Pokémon was resistant to poison, taking normal damage from it, so even if Serena called Sylveon back to avoid it going down to a super effective poison attack from Ash's Naganadel, whatever poison attack Ash called for would still deal a good chunk of damage to the Pokémon that Serena sent out in Sylveon's place.
Sure enough, Ash called out, "Naganadel, use Sludge Bomb!"
"Sylveon, return!" Serena said as she swapped her Pokémon around, "Go, Clawitzer!" Serena's shiny Clawitzer came out to deal with Ash's Naganadel. ...Or rather, Serena's shiny Zoroark came back out disguised via Illusion as Serena's shiny Clawitzer to deal with Ash's Naganadel, as its Illusion was broken once more and this time it was knocked out, which made Naganadel surge with power as its Beast Boost ability activated, boosting one of its stats.
Holding up a hand, Kukui said, "Zoroark is unable to battle! The winner is Naganadel!"
Up in the VIP viewing room, Mina remarked, "Wow, Serena's getting whupped by Ash."
"Well you got to figure that Serena," Kenny began, "As good as she is, isn't exactly specialized in battling. She's more of a performer, what with Showcases in Kalos and Contests here in Alola. Ash is far more of a battler, having fought in gyms in half a dozen regions, having done the Island Challenge here, having fought in several League Conferences and even won the one here in Alola. I myself am not sure why it was decided that Ash's exhibition match opponent would be Serena, I guess it was just that appealing to have the first Alola Champion fight the first Contest Kahuna."
Down in the arena, Serena tossed up the Pokéball that held her next Pokémon for the exhibition battle she was fighting against Ash. "Go, Clawitzer!" Serena said as she for real sent her shiny Clawitzer out. Pointing forward, Serena said, "Clawitzer, use Dragon Pulse!"
"Naganadel, use Thunderbolt!" Ash commanded. The two attacked were conjured up and cast at their respective targets, but the attacks struck one another and blew up into a huge blasting cloud of smoke. As the smoke was settling, Ash could be heard saying, "Naganadel, use Thunderbolt! Straight ahead!"
A Thunderbolt attack was conjured and cast, and it flew through the smoke and struck Serena's Clawitzer, making it cry out in pain like a certain crustacean doctor. The smoke settled just in time for Serena to see that Ash's Naganadel was still flying in place there. "Naganadel, use Thunderbolt again!" Ash called out.
"Clawitzer, use Dragon Pulse!" Serena commanded, "We need to- oh!" Serena stopped short when she saw that the Thunderbolt that had hit Clawitzer actually paralyzed it, and what's worse is that said paralysis kept it from being able to attack. As a result, Clawitzer was hit by another Thunderbolt from Ash's Naganadel, and that ended up finishing it off, resulting in Naganadel surging with power yet again due to Beast Boost.
Holding up a hand, Kukui announced, "Clawitzer is unable to battle! The winner is Naganadel!"
Up in the VIP viewing room, as everyone there saw Serena recall her fainted Clawitzer, Trip said, "Serena's down half her party, whereas Ash still has all six of his Pokémon and none of them had taken any damage thus far. Yup, yeah, Ash is gonna win this."
"He's only been a region's Champion for so little time so far," Kenny said, "And yet he's already rocking that Champion swagger."
Dawn, as she watched the battle between Ash and Serena, couldn't help but wonder if Serena was doing as poorly as she was due to some sort of mental block that came up as she was battling her crush; Serena still did look nervous, but not nervous to battle. No, she was nervous because she was battling Ash, with the battle being the dance that all Pokémon trainers had with one another. She and Ash alone, on a stage to themselves, having a certain kind of dance with one another; if Dawn didn't know any better, she could have sworn that-
*THOOM*
Everything came to a screeching halt when an explosion occurred outside of Manalo Stadium. A large pillar of black smoke began to rise up from outside of Manalo Stadium, going on to choke the sky. Then, to the alarm of everyone, a bunch of flying Pokémon soared up, some of the larger ones carrying members of Team Scorn on their backs; the Charizard leading the flock was even carrying Admin Mage, the head of Team Scorn's Scarf Sector. "Everyone evacuate!" Kukui yelled, "The exhibition battle is being postponed! We gotta deal with the Team Scorn attack!"
As the audience began to flee in a panic, Ash and Serena grouped together as they were met up by all of their classmates. Mina came along too, as did May, Max, and Iris. "Damn it!" Iris scowled, "Cilan just HAD to go to that restaurant that Mallow's family owns today of all days!"
"Team Scorn is attacking the Manalo Conference during the exhibition battle between me and Ash," Serena said, fear and apprehension in her tone and expression, "Why is Team Scorn attacking the Manalo Conference during the exhibition battle between me and Ash?"
Gently shaking her head, Dawn replied, "No clue. But we can figure that business out later. For now, we've gotta do what we can to help drive off Team Scorn!"
"I'm going after Admin Mage!" Iris snarled, her expression a vengeful visage of anger, as she called out her Dragonite, hopped on, and flew up after Mage who, seeing that he had a visitor, decided to turn around and lead her away from the stadium. "Get back here, you murderous coward!" Iris yelled as she and Dragonite chased after Mage and his Charizard. There was still plenty of Team Scorn action at Manalo Stadium to deal with, but the rest of the heroes there were more than ready to fend off the evil that is Team Scorn.
Ash especially so; after all, they were attacking Alola, the region he's the Champion of. As the Champion of Alola, Ash has to represent.
END, CHAPTER TWO-HUNDRED AND THIRTY-EIGHT
Author's notes;
This chapter sees the heroes deal with the random Guzzlords popping up during the award ceremony, although the Guzzlords are dealt with much more easily and are even straight up knocked out. Paul is injured saving Bonnie from being similarly injured herself, and this will tie into Paul's character. There's also how Mina the pink ninja girl is revealed to be a reborn trainer herself, and that she and Kenny were dating in their previous lives, a deal that they had decided to restart here in the world of Pokémon, doing so with gusto. How Mina will shake things up will be seen yet.
The following day, the exhibition battle between Ash and Serena kicks off, Alola's first Champion versus Alola's first Contest Kahuna. Although both trainers are good, Ash wipes half of Serena's party out without taking a lick of damage in return. However, a Team Scorn attack interrupts the event, forcing the exhibition battle to be canceled so that everyone who wasn't going to fight back can flee, and those who would fight back would... well, fight back. Iris chases off after Admin Mage before the chapter comes to a close. Things will continue into the next chapter, so until then take care.
