Episode 165: The Power of One Part 1
We opened to where we last opened up. Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Pikachu, Angel, Togepi, and the Pichu explored Ogi Isle and they saw some of the Pokémon living there, which happens to be Pidgey, Hoothoot, Sentret, Rattata, Slowpoke, and a small handful of Pokémon. Tracey was drawing some sketches of the wild Pokémon when a Large Body came and surprised.
"Guys, we've got company!" Tracey said.
"Tell us about it!" Sora said, summoning his Kingdom Key as several Shadows and Neoshadows surrounds the couple. Kairi summons her Destiny's Embrace. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel fought the Heartless that came at them and struck them down.
Not long after, Silver Dragons, Centibles, Uni-Walruses, Cyclodactyls, Emblem Seahorses, an Octoshells, a Wreckadillos, Wyverns, Dark Balls, Angel Stars, Armored Knights, Silver Rocks, Emerald Blues, Bad Dogs, Hammer Frames, Cannon Guns, and Lance Warriors.
"Pika!" Pikachu shouted as he unleashed Thunderbolt, shocking some of the Heartless, destroying them. Angel rams into a Bad Dog with Quick Attack and lands a Headbutt onto a Hammer Frame.
A Cyclodactyl flew at Kairi, so she slashed through it. A Wyvern flew at Sora, so he slashed through it. Pikachu and Angel slashed a Centible with a combo Iron Tail.
The fight with the Heartless went on as more of them show up. Just then, the hooded young man jumped from nowhere along with Espeon and Umbreon. He lands in front of the couple as he summons his Keyblade.
The blade of the Keyblade consists of brownish gray bricks and the hilt resembles Espeon and Umbreon's tails. The teeth of the Keyblade is Espeon and Umbreon's ears. The token is Espeon and Umbreon in a yin yang.
"Espeon and Umbreon? And a Keyblade?" Sora asked.
"Pika? Pikachu asked as he recognizes Espeon and Umbreon.
The Heartless attacks the hooded young man and his Pokémon, but they destroyed the Heartless without problem. Once they were gone, Sora kept looking at the Keyblade.
"Who are you?" Sora asked.
"No one you need to worry about," the hooded young man said. He dismissed his Keyblade. "Just consider yourself lucky we were around." Espeon and Umbreon nodded. A flash quickly appears, making Sora, Kairi, Tracey, and the Pokémon cover their eyes. They saw that he was gone.
"Where did they go?" Tracey asked.
"Who was he?" Kairi asked.
"Must be a member of Organization XIII since he's wearing one of their black hoods," Sora said.
"I agree. It won't be long until they make themselves known again," Tracey said.
"He did help us out. But he might be trying to throw us off with a good deed," Kairi said.
"Also true. And he did have a Keyblade just like that one Nobody during the fight with ExDark. So, what if it was that same Nobody. Kairi did say the Organization might be trying to trick us," Tracey said.
"You both have a point. If the Organization's trying to throw us off, then they're going to be disappointed that it didn't work. But at least they're doing a decent job than the morons," Sora said.
"We should keep our eyes opened for them in case they try to pull a fast one on us," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped.
Knowing Kairi was right, Sora nodded. They had to keep an eye opened for any signs of Organization XIII just in case. Sora couldn't help but wonder why anyone from the Organization would have two Pokémon with them; but not just any Pokémon, but two evolved forms of Eevee. That didn't make sense to him, and he didn't give Sora any feeling like with Roxas.
Speaking of which, Roxas has arrived with Axel in Pallet Town. Xion was waiting for them, but they were unaware of Yuta in the area, hiding behind a tree. He had Raichu, Jolteon, Vaporeon, Flareon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon with him as backup.
"This is her, Axel. The one I was telling you about," Roxas said. Axel was surprised to see Xion for the first time. He knew she greatly resembled Kairi, but he couldn't figure out where she came from.
"You must the Xion Roxas told me about. It's nice to finally put a face to a name," Axel said.
"Thank you, Axel. It's very nice of you to say," Xion said. Axel was taken aback by hearing Kairi's voice coming from her mouth. Xion noticed. "Is something wrong?"
"Uh, no, not really," Axel said. He the thought to himself, "This is weird with a capital W. If she looks like Kairi, that's one thing, but the same voice as her is a whole different story."
"I belive I promised you some ice cream when we get together," Roxas suggested. Xion smiled.
"That sounds great, Roxas," Xion said, smiling.
Yuta stood and watched closely to the three of them. He stroked his chin.
"That one kid looks a whole like Ventus, but older. I have a feeling I know him someway; I just can't put my finger on it. But it's that guy with the red hair that got me thinking. I know it's the one Delia told us about. He was at Greenfield. What's he up to?" Yuta asked in his thoughts.
Roxas, Axel, and Xion started to eat their ice cream.
"Roxas, Axel, do you always have ice cream together?" Xion asked.
"Axel was the one who introduced me to this. He called it 'the icing on the cake'," Roxas said. Axel laughed.
"It was right after Roxas's very first task," Axel said.
"First task? What kind of task?" Xion asked.
"Uh, that's a secret. Get that memorized," Axel said, doing a shush sign.
"Come on, Axel, you can trust her," Roxas said.
"Maybe, but we should get to know each other more," Axel said.
"Oh, come on," Roxas said.
"It's okay, Roxas. He's right though. I'm not gonna bug you for it," Xion said. Roxas looked at Xion and smiled widely. Axel quickly noticed.
Yuta knew he saw this before, but he didn't want to jump the gun and risk giving himself and the Pokémon away.
"Xion, why don't you share with us about yourself?" Axel asked.
"To be honest, I don't remember too much about my past. What I remember so far was only my name, and that's about it. I then came to this town and the one ahead of us, and somehow, both felt right for me," Xion said.
"Right how?" Roxas asked.
"It feels like I've been here and there before, but I don't remember ever coming or going. Only that I've been wondering around," Xion said. Axel could tell there was something about her than she was letting on.
"Really?" Axel asked.
"Yeah. And that was when I came here and met some people. There was this girl who mistook me for someone else; someone who looks a whole lot like me," Xion said. She looked at her feet. "But being here just feels right for me. And being around these people feels right to me, too. The atmosphere here feels welcoming." Yuta knew she was talking about her time with him, and his family. He knew Xion is grateful for everything he and his wife have given her. "It's kinda embarrassing to tell someone that you have no memory of who you are except for your name."
"I don't think so," Roxas said. Xion turned to Roxas. "It's the same with me. I didn't remember all that much about my life before I met Axel. The only difference was I didn't remember my own name. I just have the one they gave me: Roxas. And that's good enough for me."
"You should have seen him. He was a total zombie when he showed up. He didn't even know up from down," Axel said.
"Gee, thanks for the sweet talk, Axel!" Roxas said, making Xion laugh.
"Well, it's true, Roxas," Axel said.
Yuta kept on watching on, gathering some information.
"But you did help me out so much; especially when Saïx would get on my case," Roxas said.
"Who's Saïx?" Xion asked.
"Yeah, who's Saïx?" Yuta asked.
"He's someone you don't wanna meet, Xion," Axel said. "You're gonna have to trust me on that."
"I guess," Xion said. Just then, a female Eevee came and looked at Xion. She looked back at her. "Hello there. Where did you come from?"
"Eevee," the Eevee said.
"An Eevee," Axel said.
"A what?" Roxas asked.
"An Eevee. It's a Pokémon that has more evolved forms than any other Pokémon. It just depend on the situation Eevee's in," Axel explained.
"How cool," Axel said.
"And cute," Xion said. She pets the Eevee on the head. She looked at Eevee and she gets an idea on a name for her. "I think I'll call you Celeste."
"Celeste?" Roxas and Axel asked.
"Well, Celeste sounds like a nice name," Xion said. The Eevee nuzzles her. "I think she likes."
"Looks like she likes you, too," Roxas said.
"Eevee," Celeste said.
"How about we head on home, Celeste. Would you like that?" Xion asked.
"Eevee," Celeste said.
"We should head back, too," Roxas said.
"Yeah, we'll be seeing you, Xion," Axel said.
"Hopefully, soon," Xion saisaid. "Goodbye for now."
"Eevee," Celeste said.
Xion carries Celeste off in her arms as Axel opens a corridor of darkness.
"Roxas, why don't you go first? I'll catch up," Axel said.
"Okay," Roxas said, stepping in. Axel waited for the corridor of darkness to close when Axel turned around.
"Okay, how much longer are you gonna keep hiding? I know you're there. I heard you breathing a mile away," Axel said. Yuta and Kairi's Pokémon came out of hiding.
"I don't know what you're intent is, but it's gonna-" Yuta said before Axel cuts him off.
"Relax, I'm not gonna tell my boss about her," Axel said.
"You're not lying to me are you? And I know exactly who you are though. You're that Axel Delia Ketchum told me and my wife about," Yuta said.
"So you heard about me in Greenfield. Well, just so you know I was sent there to take out Sora, but it was an order I chose to ignore," Axel said.
"Why are they trying to eliminate my daughter's boyfriend?" Yuta asked.
"Because they don't need him," Axel answered. "But I believe he has a grand role to play. And they know it. And that's why I lied about seeing him."
Yuta wasn't sure if he should trust Axel or not, but he could hear some truth in his words, but he wasn't gonna let his guard down.
"Okay, what do you do know about that kid with you? Whose Nobody is he?" Yuta asked. Axel sighed.
"Come here, and I'll tell you," Axel said. Yuta was cautious about coming close to him, because he thought Axel might be pulling a fast one. "I know you don't trust me, and I don't care if you do, but you asked about my friend, so come here so I can tell you." Yuta reluctantly stepped closely to Axel.
"I'm warning you. No funny stuff," Yuta said. Once Yuta was close enough to the Nobody, so he whispered into his ears. Yuta's eyes went wide to the answer. He lightly back up from him. "You're kidding, aren't you?"
"No, it's the honest truth. And that's why he doesn't remember too much about his life before the Organization. I told you too much, so I'll be heading back before anybody gets suspicious," Axel said, opening the corridor of darkness. "Promise me that you're gonna do what you can to keep her safe."
"How do I know you're not lying?" Yuta asked.
"I told you, I'm not gonna tell them about her, so just promise!" Axel said.
"Okay, okay! I promise. And I told you, no funny stuff," Yuta said.
"If I did, you would feel free to give me loads of hell," Axel said. He went on through. He sighed as he reflected on the promise he just made. "I did make a promise to keep Xion safe. I'm not doing it for you, Axel. I'm doing it for Roxas."
When Xion came back to the house, she gave Celeste a light blue ribbon, similar to the fashion to Angel.
"There. You look adorable," Xion said. "Do you like that, Celeste?"
"Eevee," Celeste said, nuzzling Xion. She laughed from the nuzzles. Yuta returns home along with Kairi's Pokémon. Mire came in, holding Seth in her arms.
"Did you have a nice walk, dear?" Mirei asked.
"Yes. Say, you mind we talk somewhere private?" Yuta asked.
"Of course," Mirei said. Xion noticed Yuta coming in.
"Did you step out?" Xion asked.
"Yeah, I thought I'd get some exercise," Yuta said. That was the half truth. He noticed the Eevee with her. "Who's your friend?"
"Meet Celeste. She just showed up right in front of me, and we got along fast," Xion said. Yuta looked at the Eevee and she reminded him of Angel. He smiled and pets her.
"Hello there, Celeste. It's very nice to meet you," Yuta said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Xion, dear, do you mind playing with Seth while we talk for a bit?" Mirei asked.
"Sure, I'd love to," Xion said. She takes Seth in her arms. "Come on, Seth. Let's have some fun." Seth laughed and clapped his hands. Yuta took his wife to another room.
"What's is it about?" Mirei asked.
"Do you remember the Nobody that Delia told us about back in Greenfield?" Yuta asked.
"Yes, why?" Mirei asked.
"I saw him, and there was another Nobody with him; and he looked a whole like her nephew," Yuta said.
"Are you sure, dear?" Mirei asked.
"Yeah, I'm sure. I don't even need glasses to see it. That's why I followed Xion when she stepped out today. Only because Ash asked me to, and I could see he was right to do it," Yuta said.
"She's going to end up being mad at you if she finds out, you know," Mirei said.
"I have no excuse, but only as a favor like I said. And Axel knew I was there," Yuta said.
"And?" Mirei asked.
"Well, he said he wasn't gonna tell the others about her, and he asked us to try to protect her," Yuta said.
"You were always good to your promises, Yuta," Mirei said.
"And there's something else, too," Yuta said.
"What?" Mirei asked.
Yuta gave his wife a long stare.
Meanwhile, Axel returned with Roxas waiting when a corridor of darkness closed behind him.
"What took you so long?" Roxas asked.
"I just had something to take care of," Axel said. That was the half-truth. "Roxas, I think we should keep Xion a secret."
Roxas looked at Axel funny.
"Why keep her a secret, Axel? Why?" Roxas asked.
"I just don't think neither Xemnas or Saïx needs to know everything that goes on. So I don't see a reason why they need to know about our new friend, right?" Axel asked.
"Yeah, I guess," Roxas said. Roxas didn't want to lie, but he knew Axel was right. Xemnas and Saïx didn't need to know everything that happens.
Meanwhile, a flying fortress hovers above the ocean, where there's a man with a mantis colored hair and violet eyes. He wore a light violet suit with a dark violet stripe in the middle.
"In so many years, I have collected many artifacts, beginning with the card of Mew. There is one that still eludes me even up to this day. The legendary Pokémon Lugia. My pursuit of this magnificent beast has led me here to the Whirl Islands. I must say, I am sad that the chase has to end here. All good things must come to an end, I suppose. Or is it just beginning?" The man asked as he lightly chuckled. He sat in his chair and he used it to go up. His radar goes off. "And right on cue. The flying fortress picks up the signal of Lugia beneath the ocean. He grinned. He activates the rings and sends them into the sea.
Deep in the sea, Lugia is swimming and spots the rings heading right for Lugia. The legendary Pokémon didn't know what it was, but it didn't like what was going on. Lugia attacks with a Hydro Pump, but it does nothing. Lugia swam to avoid the rings, but they ruthlessly pursued Lugia in the sea.
Lugia's body gold energy starts to form around it and forms into its body, causing his body to become surrounded in a golden aura. He then opens his arms and three rings of rainbow-colored energy surrounded in golden energy shoot out of his body all around him. As the rings of energy expand, they leave behind a rainbow-colored aura. The rings shattered into pieces.
Back in the fortress, the AI informs him.
"Capture failed," the AI said.
"This game has just gotten even more interesting. Even Chess wasn't this simple. Lugia will soon be mine," the man said.
Back on Ogi Isle, Sora, Kairi, Tracey, and the Pokémon took a rest after their recent fight against the Heartless. Sora made some grilled cheese sandwiches for everyone.
"Soup's on!" Sora said. Kairi takes a bite of the sandwich and she smiled.
"Tasty as always," Kairi beamed.
"Yeah, this is great, Sora," Tracey said.
"Glad you like it," Sora said. He held out another sandwich. "There's seconds if you wanna have some." He then dark clouds gathering around. "What the?"
"What's wrong?" Kairi asked.
"Look," Sora said.
Kairi and Tracey looked at what Sora was looking at and saw the dark clouds. Lightning strikes in the distance.
"What's going on?" Tracey asked.
"I don't know, but it doesn't look good," Sora said.
What could be going on? Could the upcoming storm have something to do with the pursuit of Lugia? Find out as we continue onwards.
