Part One is on! And so we enter the first chapter after the intro, no Ash and Dawn aren't meeting yet for this one. But I swear it will be soon. For now we will meet one of our favorite characters in the series, one of Dawn's adversaries in the Pokemon Contest Circuit. I'll let you have a guess.

Main Hall

Dawn found herself walking along the main hall looking for the Office, but couldn't find the Plaque that labeled it. She sighed, knowing that she was lost. Her face must have shown her distress for someone went up to her and smiled.

"Hey there I am May Maple! Are you new here?" Greeted a burnette teen as old as she was.

Dawn smile relief coursing through her body, "Hello! Thank goodness, yes I am new here just moved from Sinnoh a few months ago. Might I hassle you for directions to the Principal's office? I'm Dawn by the way."

"That wouldn't be much of a hassle at all! In fact, since there's still loads of time I'll show the way. And nice to meet you Dawn." May offers kindly.

Dawn smiled, "I'd love to take that offer May. Thank you!"

"Think nothing of it Dawn! Besides we've met before, the Wallace in Sinnoh remember?" May asked with a raised brow.

Dawn gasped embarrassed for nearly forgetting her adversary,"Of course, you helped me with my hair! Hehe, it has been a while since then. That battle with you was spectacular. I can see how you earned your name as Hoenn's Princess."

"Oh it's fine really! That was a brief meeting after all, I was only there for a couple of days and we didn't really talk except for that time so all is well. Anyways, the clock is ticking so let's head to see Principal Birch before the warning bell rings." May responds taking her her hand and walking towards the Office.

They walked through the halls until they got to a Birch door (no pun intended), May opened it to reveal a plump man, with square glasses and a white lab coat on. He looked up and waved them inside.

"Good day Professor Birch! I've got a new student here, a transferee from Sinnoh." May says having Dawn stand beside her.

"Good day ladies! Ah, you must be Dawn Berlitz, I am Professor Adam Birch. I've hard nothing but great things about from your Professors at Jubilife University! Welcome to Hoenn! I do hope you have a good time here Ms. Berlitz." Greeted the man who shook the blunette's hand.

Dawn smiled, "Thank you for the warm welcome Professor! And thank you for hiring my mother to teach at the Prep school."

"Such a polite young lady! Our chairman Mr. Steven Stone couldn't pass up the opportunity to have a Top Coordinator like Joanna teach the youth about the joys of Coordinating. Here's your schedule, locker and a copy of your dorm key. You'll meet your other dorm mates within the day, you've already met one of them while two others are Seniors." Birch says handing Dawn the items.

Dawn takes them placing the keys into her pocket and scanning her schedule, "Thank you Professor Birch."

May looks at the schedule over her shoulder and smiles, "Looks we have the same classes together Dawn. So you're coming with me."

"Thank you for helping her out May. I'd say this if it weren't cause for favoritism, you'd be next inline to be student council president next year." Says Adam with a grin.

The young older Maple sibling blushed a slight pink at the commendation, "That'd be an honor Professor! It'd please me to serve the student body of this school to the best of my ability. Just like how Serena has done for the last three years."

"Bless Ms. Yvonne for her tenacity as Student Body President. And her team are also a determined lot as well. Alright on with you both. I wouldn't want to be the cause of your tardiness after all!" He dismissed them.

They walked out of the office and trekked to their first period, which was Homeroom. They reached the room with fitness minutes to spare and took their seats. Dawn saw two familiar faces in the crowd, who also noticed her.

"Dawn! Oh my gosh, I didn't know you were going here this year!" Zoey exclaimed hugging her best friend and rival she followed by Kenny.

Dawn grinned hugging her friends, "Zoey and Kenny! Wow, this is a surprise. But a pleasant one surly."

"We've got another one for you." Kenny says holding Zoey's hand.

May chuckled shaking her head, "I should have known you three were friends, you're all from Sinnoh, so no need for introductions. They've been together since last year."

Dawn laughed not at all surprised, "It's about time too! The last time I saw these two they were still denying that they liked each other."

"Dawn!" Both Kenny and Zoey exclaimed blushing to the good natured laughter of the two ladies.

The warning bell rang and al four teens took their seats as the Professor entered the room. She was a beautiful woman with flaming red hair, a bright smile, and slender figure.

"Good morning students I am Flannery or you can address me as Professor Payer. I'll be your advisor and History teacher this year! I see a few new faces among us this year. Introduce yourselves." Greeted the young woman with a bright smile at them.

Dawn decided to go first and stood, "Hello everyone! I am Dawn Berlitz and I came from the Sinnoh region. I aspire to be a Top Coordinator. My mother decided to find a better life for us here an Hoenn, I was a cheerleader in Jubilife University and also a member of the theater club as well. I hope to be an exemplary student in this school as well."

"Nice to have you on board Dawn! I'm sure you'll meet some great friends here in Hoenn University as well. And do join the Theater Club if you are interested, Mrs Donavon would love to have you." Says Flannery having Dawn sit down.

May, Kenny, and Zoey smiled giving her a thumbs up. She smiled thankful for their encouragement, but missed the dynamic feeling what of a high five after a job well done could make her feel. She really hoped she'd see Ash soon, she knew he was here somewhere. Homeroom passed and turned into first period, which was her favorite class! Fashion Design! Class was fun as she, May, and Zoey bonded over the latest fashions, then a honey blonde haired girl entered the room with an award winning smile on her face.

Ms. Sasha grinned ushering the Senior in, "Everyone say hello to our Student Council President Serena Yvonne. This year's contender to be Kalos' next Showcase Queen. And a top contender for the Kanto Grand Festival!"

"Good Morning everyone! I hope your all having a great first day, I'll be joining this class with you for the rest of the term. Expect some of my fellow seniors to join your classes as well, this will just be for the electives." Says Serena with a bow to everyone.

Zoey's had an excited glint in her eyes, "Oh my gosh! She will be joining us for the rest of the term. It's sad though that the seniors will only be with us for our electives, but this will be fun!"

"She's coming here." May says nearly hyperventilating.

Dawn was awed, "I hope I don't make a bad first impression."

Then she felt a hand on her shoulder, looking up she saw that it was Serena. She was smiling at them.

"Don't you worry about that now. So far seeing how you introduced yourself and the glowing comments Professor Birch has of you, those worries are unfound. May I have a seat with you ladies?" Serena spoke waving her hand to chair to right of Dawn.

Dawn smiles back at her, "Oh sure! And thanks for putting me at ease."

"You can always count on the Council for help. How about you girls have lunch with my friends and I? The more the merrier. Our group always welcomes more people. Three of our members graduated a few years back, and they were all friends with one of the members of our group. You might know him May." Serena says directing a glance at the Hoenn native.

"Oh! Yeah, he was my mentor when I was just starting out as a trainer. He's like the big brother I wish I had." May says with a wide smile

Zoey shared a look with Dawn then asked, "Who are you two talking about?"

"Ash Ketchum. He's in Serena's class and the Students Council Public Relations Officer. He's also one one of our school's top battlers, he's won the Lily of the Valley Conference in Jonto." May informed.

Dawn froze at the mention of his name, the three noticed her sudden state of shock. May and Zoey were worried they had said something wrong, but Serena knew otherwise. The honey blond girl knew the history between Dawn and Ash, long estranged childhood friends that held their onto friendship despite years of not seeing the other. Dawn snapped out of her thinking when she felt a hand squeezing her own, the older girl smiled softly.

May then asked, "Hey Dawn are you alright? You seemed surprised for a minute."

"I-its just that I know him. I've known him since we were kids." Dawn admits shooting shy glances at three.

May and Zoey were surprised by this, they hadn't known that the most popular boy in school had a history with the aspiring Top Coordinator. Serena on the other hand smiled knowingly, she had known Dawn since they had been children as well but knew that the younger girl hadn't recognized her as part of the little group that Ash had introduced to the bluenette during the summer camp. Sadly they hadn't really bonded all that much because Serena had left just when the camp had finished.

Serena spoke, "Actually Dawn, we've also met before back in that summer camp."

Dawn's eyes widened, "You were the girl with the straw hat who he got out of the forest that day. It was really sad that we weren't able to bond as much before you left."

"Wow, who else from the seniors do you know Dawn? I mean sure I've traveled with Ash before here in Hoenn but even I might not know him as well as you do." May says curiously.

Dawn chuckled, "Well I do know Leaf and Gary as I grew up with them in Pallet Town, but I was always closest with Ash. Him and I were best friends, I was so devastated when I left Palette Town with my Mom. But he told to me to chase my dreams just like he would be chasing his."

"Dawn, you've chased your dreams and have reached it. And from what May and Serena have told us, he has reached his as well. I think you two deserve a happy reunion!" Zoey says smiling at her rival and best friend.

Serena grins, "Ooh! Zoey's right about that. I'm sure he'd be happy to see you again, he had never really stopped thinking about you, you know. I'll show you guys to our table at lunch."

Dawn smiled radiently, she'd get to see Ash again and this time they won't be separated for miles on end.

Her last thought was, I hope he really does remember me...

And that ends this chapter. So May meets Dawn, Dawn reunites with Zoey and Kenny. And the girls meet Serena! Don't worry all Ash and Dawn's reunion is coming soon, gotta get passed some drama first before that though. Trouble is coming in the form of certain purple haired trainer and a couple of his thugs! Uh oh.
