Titan
Imra and Sydne walked the halls of the Sedi temple. "Put me on the council but not make a master. What the fuck is this?" Imra raged. "It's never been done in the history of the Sedi. It's insulting."
"Calm down, Imra, you have been given a great honor. To be on the council at your age has never happened before," Sydne told her.
"How many fucks do I have to kill?" Imra asked seriously.
"The fact of the matter, you're too close to these outsiders. The council doesn't like it when outsiders interfere in Sedi affairs," Sydne told her.
"I didn't ask for their help to put me on the council," Imra said peeved.
"But it is what you wanted. Your friendship with these outsiders seems to have paid off," Sydne said cynically.
"They have nothing to do with this. I could have orchestrated that coup all by myself," Imra boasted.
"The only reason the council has approved of your appointment is because these outsiders trust you. The council wants you to report on the outsiders and their dealings. They want to know what he's up to," Sydne said softly.
"You want me to be a SPY!?" Imra asked obnoxiously.
"These outsiders are powerful, capable of destroying entire worlds. We must know who they are and what they're capable of," Sydne said reasonably.
"Why didn't the council give me this assignment in session?" Imra asked suspiciously.
"This assignment is not be on record," Sydne replied.
"These outsiders are bad people, narcissists, deranged, deviants. Of course, I will do it," Imra replied.
Metropolis-July 3017
Kara looked over investigative articles on her datapad for her newly instituted Pulitzer Prize at City Hall. She intended to give the best journalist in the world a prize and with her Catco experience, she knew exactly who she should give it to. Brainiac 5 supervised her selection process as he gave her a list. "Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap," Kara said as she sped read all of the articles. She finally came across an article that showed a collection of dead corpses from the Mimic War.
"Now, that's journalism," Kara said of the portfolio.
Mon and Nura entered her office. "I'm back from Arrakis. It's still sandy," Mon reported.
"Not your cup of tea?" Kara asked.
"I have no problem with desert warfare, it's the best kind. But sand is rough, coarse, and it gets everywhere," Mon complained.
"Imra has already landed. She will be with us shortly," Brainiac 5 said.
Imra entered the room looking disgruntled. "What have you been up to while we were risking our lives in your coup?"
"Before we get into this, I want you to look over this new law I wrote, the Espionage Act of 3017," Kara said smugly.
Imra glanced at the law's summary on a datapad and felt a chill go through her. "As a diplomat, I have diplomatic immunity."
"Within reason," Kara allowed. "It has come to my attention that the thousands of human soldiers on the battlefield did very little damage against the Mimics."
"Over ninety percent of Mimics kills came from metahumans, namely the people in this room," Brainiac 5 reported. "The humans were either unwilling or incapable of accurate fire on the enemy even in mass."
"So?" Imra asked unimpressed.
"To defend this world and bring it together, we need a superhero corp. I have confiscated another building in Metropolis to act as a base of operations. With your telepathy, we can find metahumans, and bring them to us for testing and training," Kara said to Imra.
"Sure," Imra shrugged. "Just be aware that my government's orders take precedence over yours."
"Of course," Kara smiled with false sincerity. "There will be a ranking system within this corp. except for Mon and myself who will be at the very top of the chain of command. Nura is ranked #3 at the moment."
"I imagine I am #2," Imra rolled her eyes.
"No, I am #2," Brainiac 5 corrected. "By doing so, I control who gets to be number one. At this moment, that is you."
"Well, okay then," Imra smiled.
Europe
In Missy-aux-Bois, a French regiment mutinied against the government and sacked the town. Seizing upon this, Mon gave them protection. Other units in France started to mutiny as well and immediately France was in a state of chaos. Mon-El led the French armies in a coup against Paris and sacked the government declaring himself an emperor. He then established three legislative institutions. The first drafted bills, the second debated bills but did not vote, and the third voted but was not allowed to debate. Presumably, the third would take into consideration the debate notes of the second. In any case, Mon could veto with no recourse to override him. Mon's appointment as Emperor of France was then overwhelmingly approved by the new Consulate.
Mon proceeded to defy Pope Barney I by crowning himself and starting his own foreign policy. He made a peace treaty with Spain so he could focus on the nearly empty lands of the European continent. At this point, France already controlled Belgium, territories to the west of the Rhine, and territories in Northern Italy. The Netherlands had its first elections since the Mimic War and elected a French puppet government.
Mon then led an army at Nice into Italy and took control of the Lombardy region. In response, Brainiac 5 organized the Papal States by sacking Rome and surrounding areas of Lazio. These invasions ended up being rather bloodless as the European continent had been devastated by the Mimic occupation. The Germanic areas were sparsely populated now and not in a position to resist. These invasions did create tension between Kara and Mon.
In Paris, Kara appeared as a hologram before Mon. "Mon, you crowned yourself Emperor of France? What the fuck are you doing?" she demanded.
"I was bored," Mon excused.
"We're supposed to take this world together," Kara reminded him.
"I believe my approach with Barney will be better than yours," Mon said confidently.
"I will not allow you to kill countless humans in bloody wars of conquest," Kara said narrowing her eyes at him.
"If you're so concerned, let's make it a race to see which sides these humans follow," Mon wagered.
"The humans will never follow an Insane brute like you," Kara predicted.
"And I don't believe they'll follow an inexperienced confused ditz," Mon shot back.
"It's on," Kara said and then disappeared.
At the end of the month, Pope Barney I made peace with Mon and decided to remain neutral. Kara immediately gained the support of a collection of German governors and mayors as well as Austria to stop Mon's advance. She also formed an alliance with Portugal which prompted Spain to side with Mon in a formal alliance. Two French armies invaded deep into Germany towards Bavaria only to be rebuffed by the current population and forced to retreat back.
America-Europe
Not too far from the warp flight launch, a fire raged through a copper mine threatening to kill several hundred miners. Kara quickly entered the mine and blew out the fires while blowing the smoke away from the miners. She then started looking for survivors throughout the mines with her sensitive hearing. In all, hundreds of miners were saved from the fire and smoke inhalation earning the gratitude of the area.
Kara then intervened in a labor dispute riot in St. Louis. Disgruntled employees wanting better pay and working conditions would go on strike only for the employers to import workers from other areas. A few thousand recently fired workers marched around the city and started assaulting the new workers. A large number of imported workers were led to believe they would be given a job only for the jobs to not materialize. The police and national guard were sent to keep order but, instead, joined the rioters. The combined force of the national guard, police, and rioters hunted down the imported workers to shoot and hang them.
Kara arrived on the scene and fired heat vision on national guard and police vehicles creating plumes of fire all over the city. Upon landing, she clapped her hands creating shockwaves down the streets against the rioters. When that didn't have the desired effect, she fired low-intensity heat vision on the crowd giving them sunburn. After the incident, the city council approached Kara.
"By what authority do you intervene in our affairs?" they asked.
"This is east of the Mississippi River, right? You take orders from me now," Kara told them.
"We'll simply move all of our business to the western side of the river," the city council members said to her.
"Yeah, you go do that," Kara said unconcernedly. "But when I take ownership of the western side, I'm going to remember all of your faces," she warned.
Not too long afterward, a peaceful protest march occurred in Metropolis in solidarity with the workers in St. Louis. While not participating in the march itself, Kara could only smile at it. In Spain, Kara intervened in another worker's strike to stop dozens from being killed. While the common people appreciated the gesture, the Spanish government began to side more with Mon. In Greece, Kara blew out a large fire in Thessaloniki saving the city.
Moscow, Russia
In Moscow, Kara and Brainiac 5 met with the Russian leadership that had overthrown their emperor and now claimed to be a republic at the Kremlin Palace. Their minister-chairman was Alexander Petrovich. "I implore you to use tact this time in our negotiations," Brainiac 5 reminded her.
"I am always tactful," Kara told him off.
The three sat down for negotiations. "Your people are starving, disease is everywhere, and many will not survive the cold. You have disgruntled veterans that haven't been paid. In a short time, it's likely your government will be overthrown. You will either be executed or forced into exile. If you agree to our terms, we will work to alleviate the situation and provide your government security."
"As part of your British Dominion?" Alexander scoffed.
"The British Dominion is merely an instrument to expand our influence. Our endgame is the unification of this world under one government. Once we have achieved this, all nations will be given the same treatment and rights," Brainiac 5 said.
"We will divide this world into regions of identical GDP so no single nation has all the power as before. So, Russia being the enormous size and population that it is...will have the same exact borders as now," Kara smirked.
"You're saying my nation is poor. Fuck yourself," Alexander said pissed off.
"You're doing it again," Brainiac 5 lectured Kara.
"Oh, come on? How does a country of this size have the same GDP as Metropolis?" Kara rolled her eyes.
Brainiac 5 gave her a look indicating she should shut up. "The borders of every nation will change as their GDPs rise and fall relative to other nations. Our goal is for the quality of life standards to be universal across the planet according to merit."
"Many of our people are uneducated and drunk as fuck. How will we compete with the West?" Alexander asked.
"We don't guarantee equality of outcome but equality of opportunity. The lowest rank will be sufficiently supplied for," Brainiac 5 said.
"So, you're saying that if we lose GDP our borders will actually get bigger?" Alexander questioned.
"Possibly but you would be running the risk of Russia being split up among several other nations or being subordinate to your rivals. Once the world has been unified, there will also be open borders. So, there is an incentive for every nation to be as productive as possible," Brainiac 5 said.
"Should you give us needed subsidies and protection from revolutionaries, Russia will be an ally to the British Dominion," Alexander promised. With Kara's assurances, the Russian Republic began arresting and executing scores of revolutionaries.
London, England-July 3017
At Buckingham Palace, Kara was informed that Argentina had invaded the Falkland Islands. "They did what now?" Kara asked outraged.
"Argentina has invaded the Falklands with a significant fleet. They now claim it as their territory," Brainiac 5 said.
"I'm not sure how I feel about this. Mon, how should I feel about this?" Kara asked.
"They have taken our territory. We should massacre them, we should fuck them up," Mon said passionately.
"The islands have little economical or strategic value," Brainiac 5 pointed out.
"But what about the people that live there? Shouldn't we give a shit what they think?" Kara asked, completely lacking self-awareness as people protested around the palace against her.
"In this time, the islands are uninhabited," Brainiac 5 replied.
"Well...shit," Kara frowned.
"A show of force would do these humans some good," Mon said.
"Let's not be too hasty. Have you contacted Argentina and told them how outraged we are?" Kara asked Brainiac 5.
"I did. They told me to go fuck myself," Brainiac 5 said.
"Well, that is something I can't abide by," Kara said standing up.
Falkland Islands
Within a few seconds, Kara arrived at the Falklands and torched the islands with her heat vision forcing Argentinians to evacuate. She then fired heat vision warning shots against the Argentine fleet forcing them back home. Satisfied, the Argentinians would not invade the islands again, Kara went back to London where she was greeted as a hero.
"You give me far too little credit," Kara smiled as Parliament cheered her.
"Your Majesty, will you honor the Court of Queen's Bench?" an MP asked.
"Say what?" Kara wondered.
"The decision abolishes slavery in the commonwealth," the MP explained.
"Sounds good," Kara said confused.
There was an awkward silence not common in the House of Commons. "The court ruled that your social contract is void as it makes all drones a slave to your will," the MP added.
"Barney isn't a slave and neither are his drones," Kara clarified. "And none of you are slaves either. In this social contract you have all signed, you can leave whenever you want to Australia...or something."
"So, we either obey your commands or become exiled to Australia?" one MP asked skeptically.
"Let's be very clear about this. I don't own any human being. I do, however, own this planet's resources, waters, and land. You're all living on my land now," Kara said seriously. "And that doesn't change whether you sign my contract or not. In time, the drone population will exceed the entire human race at, which point, you will become redundant and unnecessary. So, you can either get with the program or you can get the fuck out."
Parliament was on its feet and gave Kara a standing ovation. "Wait...what?" she wondered.
"Finally, a leader with balls!" one MP declared.
"That's right," Kara confirmed feeling more comfortable with this crowd. "And we're going to conquer the whole world...together."
Metropolis
At the Hall of Justice, Kara, Mon, Brainiac 5, and Nura came together at the round table. "Conquering land is of little value. I'll remind you that the British GDP expanded by a factor of six within seventy years after they lost their empire," Brainiac 5 said. "It's technological innovation and increased productivity that...,"
"It's not about the money, it's about being able to have a vacation home anywhere in the world without some punk throwing eggs at it," Kara said.
"My analysis is that the American nations will resist you," Brainiac 5 said.
"Perhaps a little shock and awe will do the trick," Mon said aggressively.
"I did not accidentally come to this time to be the queen of the ashes. However, the more we delay, the more people are dying of starvation, disease, and warfare across the globe. All of these petty leaders are keeping their people hostage, not allowing them to love me as they should," Kara said.
"The people will throw your coffee imports into the bay," Nura brought up.
"What the fuck?" Kara asked suddenly changing her tune. "No one fucks with my coffee."
"It's not a necessity," Brainiac 5 said dismissively.
"I beg to differ," Kara said as she got herself a cup from the coffee machine.
"When?" Mon asked darkly.
"I'm not sure...I should tell you," Nura said, concerned for Mon's look.
"What's the deal with these assholes anyway?" Kara asked ignorantly.
"Since we have abolished money, we have resorted to the barter system with these nations. In return for their goods or labor, they have access to my supplies. They're generally unhappy with me increasing prices on coffee, tea, sugar, stamps, and other commodities," Brainiac 5 said. "We also intentionally collapsed their financial system."
"Perhaps we should lower our prices to prevent a continental war?" Kara considered.
"Lowering prices is for the weak," Mon disagreed. "You fuck them even harder, Barney."
"By increasing my prices, I am incentivizing more people to become our citizens," Brainiac 5 said simply.
"How much would I have to work to earn a cup of coffee?" Kara asked casually.
"A standard week," Brainiac 5 answered.
"Damn," Kara smirked as she took a sip of her coffee. "I'm not sure I agree with your dollar-a-day wage, Barney."
"These humans are not very efficient, sometimes counterproductive," Brainiac 5 said defensively.
"The American leaders will be meeting soon to raise funds," Nura revealed.
"For what?" Coffee?" Kara asked.
"No, to wage war against you," Nura replied.
Boston-August 3017
As with Metropolis, Boston was under the control of Kara's regime as a city-state surrounded by American territory. Citizens and tribal people were allowed to interact, trade, and visit each other in the city. However, only citizens could access housing, medical care, and commodities for free according to their rank. Even the lowest rank, a Private, was given enough to survive on. Many tribal people became envious and resentful that private third-class citizens could decide to do nothing all day and were still provided for. Humans and drones worked side-by-side to perform economic objectives for the city according to short and long-term planning. Drone officers managed the city while occasionally entertaining human experts on their professional opinions. No one really complained as Brainiac 5 progressively increased the productivity and luxury of the city on an exponential level. As drones were everywhere, citizens could voice their opinions and grievances to Brainiac 5 in a casual setting. Brainiac 5 drones were superiors, peers, and subordinates to humans in all areas of production. These drones quickly became colleagues, comrades, and family to the humans.
As the security situation deteriorated in Boston, a few thousand combat drones started patrolling the city. As per Kara's orders, these drones were not to kill humans unless another human life was in danger. One particular day, a riot broke out as tribal Americans were pissed off that E-1 citizens were granted basic commodities for doing absolutely nothing. A squad of Brainiac 5 drones arrived on the scene.
"This is a farce! How can men be allowed food and shelter for nothing?" one demanded of the squad.
"There is still incentive to work. With greater performance comes greater rank," Brainiac 5 explained to them.
"I say we take it from them!" one of them shouted. "They didn't even earn it."
The crowd took out primitive projectile weapons with the intent to attack citizens. In a quick motion, the Brainiac 5 drones aimed their rifles at the crowd and fired non-stop stun bursts. The crowd fired back damaging the drones with bullet holes. The citizens fled the scene but it would take time to empty the square. The Brainiac 5 drones took steps back as they were about to be overwhelmed. With citizens still in danger of being attacked, the drones switched to kill and fired on the crowd killing several of them. At this point, the crowd retreated upon seeing the firepower of their weapons.
On the snowy ground were dead humans that were in pieces or blasted apart by plasma fire. The squad then went back for repairs as more drones arrived to secure the area.
Kara arrived at the crime scene. "I submit myself to your judgment," Brainiac 5 said to her.
"I pardon you," Kara said, boinking him in the forehead.
"A pardon implies you've already decided my guilt," Brainiac 5 reminded her.
"You want a show trial? Or are we just going to prosecute the drones that actually did it?" Kara asked incredulously. "You're already the judiciary. Give yourself a verdict."
"I will need to recuse myself," Brainiac 5 replied.
"You want a trial, let's have a trial," Kara allowed.
Brainiac 5 was put on trial with Mon acting as defense, Kara as a prosecutor, and Imra as the judge. The jury was made up of pissed-off tribal Americans, many of which had family members that had been killed in the massacre. "Good job on picking the jury," Kara scolded Mon.
"I want it on the record that I am defending Barney against my will," Mon said.
"So noted," Imra rolled her eyes.
Mon went first to question Brainiac 5. "Who built you?"
"Brainiac 4," Brainiac 5 replied.
"And who the fuck was he?" Mon asked.
"A foremost authority on cybernetics for his time," Brainiac 5 replied.
"And what happened to him?" Mon asked knowingly.
"I killed him for killing my mother," Brainiac 5 replied.
"Alright, so you killed your father, a partially organic being," Mon continued.
"Yes," Brainiac 5 replied.
Kara gave Mon an odd look as he seemed to be hurting his own case. "How fast is your processing power?" Mon asked.
"800 trillion operations per second in this particular drone," Brainiac 5 replied.
Mon came up with a rod of steel. "Bend this shit."
"Relevance? A lot of aliens including myself can bend steel," Kara said.
"Overruled, I want to see him do it," Imra said eagerly.
Brainiac 5 easily bent the rod of steel. "Disconnect your hand, so we can see it," Mon requested. Brainiac 5 detached the hand and gave it to him. He then showed the cybernetic arm to the pissed-off jury and then handed it back to Brainiac 5 to reattach.
Mon then touched Brainiac 5 to the back of the neck and instantly turned him off by zapping his circuitry. Brainiac 5's body went limp as if it were dead. "Brainiac 5 is a machine, nothing more. He can't be charged with anything because he is not a citizen, not a man, not a living thing," Mon concluded.
Kara gave Mon a blank look. She hadn't anticipated Mon giving that sort of defense. "Barney is a machine, but we are also machines as well, just a different type of machine. Barney was created by parents just as we were created by our own parents. Barney is intelligent, he's self-aware, and he has a conscience to know right from wrong. Your machine argument is bullshit, Mon," Kara pointed at him.
Kara then turned Brainiac 5 back on and displayed a container of his stuff. "What are these?" Kara asked showing a case filled with medals.
"Medals you have given me for my record of service," Brainiac 5 replied.
"And why do you have them?" Kara asked.
"To remind you of my importance when you are characteristically ungrateful," Brainiac 5 said.
"And...what is this?" Kara asked referring to a book.
"That is the Bible I wrote based on your memories," Brainiac 5 said.
"And what's this...thing?" Kara asked referring to a small hologram emitter.
"I would prefer it if you didn't activate that," Brainiac 5 said.
Kara ignored him and turned it on anyway showing Nura in a seductive pose. "Why do you have this?" Kara asked confused.
"It was a gift by Nura Nal. We were intimate as they say," Brainiac 5 said.
"No further questions," Kara said quickly, turning off the hologram.
"The jury may deliberate," Imra instructed them.
The jury exited the room only to come back shortly thereafter with a verdict. "What verdict did you find?" Imra asked.
"Not guilty, Your Honor," the jury replied.
"You're excused," Imra dismissed them.
The befuddled jury then left the courtroom while tribal people in the pews and outside began to riot. Kara then went up to Imra. "Did you...use your telepathy to get them to say not guilty?" Kara accused.
"You want a real trial, I'll give you a real trial. You want a bullshit trial, I'll give you bullshit," Imra replied.
"Fair enough," Kara rolled her eyes.
Philadelphia
Kara and Brainiac 5 waltzed into a hall in Philadelphia to deal with American national leaders personally. "An American representative is to come before Parliament in London," Brainiac 5 informed her.
"Make sure he's mocked appropriately," Kara ordered.
Kara then entered the hall where she encountered over fifty men representing regions of North America. "You done talking shit?" Kara asked impatiently.
"We have a petition against you, Your Majesty," one of them said to her.
"Proceed," Kara said not taking them seriously.
"You have kept a standing army in the Americas without our consent, you have blockaded our ports, you have taken judicial jurisdiction against American prisoners, you have ignored our grievances and petitions for better trading terms, and you have prevented our settlements in Quebec," President John Hancock said to her.
"Your people are starving, facing disease, victimized by crime, and exposed to the elements. The only future for humanity is with me. So, you can either join me or you can continue to see your lands, your resources, your waters, and your very air encroached upon until you are cast into the Pacific Ocean," Kara told them all.
"We will resist you and your drones," one said to her.
"Do you really think it's wise to fuck with me? Don't you realize I could wipe your entire continent off the face of the planet if I wanted to?" Kara asked rhetorically.
"You won't. You want to be a hero," another doubted.
"You all try my patience. I have no problem killing fifty of you if it means saving fifty widows or fifty orphans. You're all equally beneath me," Kara told them off.
"Do your worse," one said to her.
Kara gave them all a frustrated look and then exited the hall pissed off.
Boston-September 3017
As predicted, the Americans threw an entire shipment of coffee into Boston Harbor. They also tarred and feathered a drone officer while burning down some of the housing for citizens. A few thousand more drones arrived in Boston to keep the peace and keep the Americans out. The Americans responded by arming themselves into militia platoons.
At a coffee shop, Kara shook her head dismayed. "Stun their assess and destroy their weapon supplies," she ordered Brainiac 5.
At night, 1500 drones marched into the interior and engaged American militiamen. The militiamen were quickly overwhelmed by the drones' firepower and retreated away. The drones continued their march until they reached a settlement. The drones split up as they searched the area for supplies. While the drones were divided, the Americans hit one company hard. Now, the Americans outnumbered the drones in pure numbers. Brainiac 5 regrouped his troops just outside the settlement. Outnumbered roughly three-to-one, the drones stood their ground and fought fearlessly with perfect discipline.
The Americans fought with projectile and energy weapons they had been able to acquire over the centuries. The drones were only allowed to stun back. Meanwhile, the Americans surrounded Bostin in a siege cutting off the drones still in the field. At the same time, a fortress in New York was being engaged upon and then sacked. The Americans also advanced against the borders of Metropolis in southern New York.
Kara eyed the battles and army movements on a hologram in her office at Boston City Hall. "Barney, what the fuck is going on here?"
"I need more drones," he said simply. "I am also hindered by my inability to kill."
"I'll scorch Earth them. Just say the word," Mon volunteered.
"Assassinate their generals," Kara allowed and then gave him a datapad with their faces and locations.
"Fine," Mon said disappointedly and then instantly disappeared.
Kara then turned to Brainiac 5. "Break through their lines and end this siege," she ordered.
Drones exited Boston and engaged the Americans taking a critical hill to the north, breaking their lines, and forcing their retreat. However, the Americans then placed artillery pieces on the southern shore in sight of Boston. The Americans then blasted Boston causing major fires throughout the city and damaging the existing infrastructure. With lives at stake, Kara personally engaged the artillerymen and blasted them to pieces killing scores of them.
New York
Unable to take Boston, CT, VT, and MA rebels headed north towards the Canadian border. They established a military base at Fort Drum, New York to mobilize for their offensive. ME rebels started taking coastal areas threatening the symbolic city of Midvale. The rebels in ME established the American Merchant Marine fleet only for Kara to burn it to nothing with heat vision beams. At this point, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Connecticut had declared war against the British Dominion. The rest of the American nations came together to form a defensive pact to create a continental army and navy but had not declared war just yet. They continued to send diplomatic messages to Kara which she promptly ignored. The British Parliament, feeling overly optimistic, also ignored these diplomatic messages.
Quebec
Over the course of a thousand years, the people of Quebec were no longer ethnically French nor did they speak the language. Centuries ago, the human race was blended together into one race and one language. Still, the cities of Montreal and Quebec were still strategically important. The territory of Quebec was merged with Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and New England. The symbolically important town of Midvale was in this territory. So, when American armies attempted to take Quebec, they were met by strong resistance.
The American rebels from CT, VT, and MA went for Montreal while the ME rebels headed towards Quebec City. Nura, a few hundred drones, and human citizens fought back against the Americans in bloody battles. This time, the drones did not hold back with continuous lethal fire. The Americans quickly retreated back to New York. With Canada reasonably secure, Kara waited to see what the Americans would do next.
Virginia-October 3017
The British fleet destroyed the American navy base at Norfolk. In retaliation, the Virginians destroyed any property associated with or had traded with the British Dominion. The end result was the entire destruction of the town. Virginia and New Jersey then officially declared war against Britain. Shortly thereafter, North Carolina voted to declare war against Britain. The British fleet then blockaded New Jersey and Kara destroyed all of their ships.
The American Navy approached the British-controlled Bahamas for a raid with six ships. Kara fired on the ships destroying them all before they could even get close to their destination. In Georgia, the British attempted to "take" food supplies from Savanah for Boston. The ships were intercepted on the Savanah River and destroyed. Georgia then declared war on Britain. The British invaded Charleston, South Carolina, and sacked it. However, they were not able to keep the city and withdrew as more Americans came in.
By the end of the month, several American nations had officially declared war on the British Dominion and were now a unified political and military entity.
