The next morning Albus silently entered the hospital wing not wanting to disturb Harry . As he approached the sleeping form Poppy stopped him and winged him in her office . The mediwitch's office was on the smaller side , homey looking , with a desk in one corner , a whole side of the room was covered in neatly organised shelves full with folders . In the middle of the room in front of an fireplace two armchairs and a side table were placed . As the adults got comfortable in the chairs the Abu's started talking .

" My dear , how is our Harry ? " Poppy sight .

" He woke up this morning , didn't really talk , i managed to get him to eat a little bit and take his potions before he fall asleep again , I assume he is still in shock . He is also running a slight fever , I wanted to ask Severus later if he can test his blood to see if he has an infection but I am not sure how he is going to react to seeing Harry I don't want to put more stress to neither of them "

" don't worry Poppy i will ask Severus I am sure it wont be a problem "

" But that's not the only thing i wanted to talk about . Albus while I performed I a deep diagnostic spell something suspicious came up . Wait ! I kept the parchment " And with that she got up , fished a folded piece of parchment out of one the pockets of her apron and handed it to the headmaster

DIAGNOSTIC SPELL :

Scaring on the back from a belt

Scar on the forehead from a dark curse

Scaring on left arm self-inflicted

Wrongly healed ribs (2 on the right side , 1 on the left no immediate danger )

Amputated left leg ( still healing wound ) from dark curse

State of mind : in grief

emotional trauma due to childhood abuse

not able to trust at the moment

In conclusion: patient will need built up an appetite slowly , he will never reach his full height ,the wound need to be kept clean to avoid infection , work through emotional trauma . Highly recommended a save , patient and stable environment.

The twinkle left Dumbeldore's as he read the parchment multiple times not wanting to believe what he let happen and right there he swore to himself that he will do anything to get this small child , he already thought of as a grandchild, as healthy and happy as possible . Poppy nervously glared at Albus " I will not allow you to send him back to his relatives , if you even try i will go the ministry !"

" My dear , of course he is not going back ! If i knew he would have been removed from that .. that house ages ago . No one deserves such treatment . Do you really think that little of me ?"

Poppy audible exhaled and leaned back in her chair " No Albus , of course not . It's just he has been here so many times and i never saw it , he never told me or even indicated that something is wrong , he had to go through all of this alone . And Minerva said you told her he would be the safest with a blood relative "

" The protection provided there is important of course , but it will not matter if Harry is not safe from within . Regardless he is a child ,there is no way i am going to let him fight IF Voldemort is coming back !" Poppy flinched at the mention of that name .

" What do you think , is HE going to come back ?" Poppy asked nervously

" Right now it looks like he is not but i am still researching if it is possible and of course ways to prevent it . But no child under our care will think about participating in a war and that's final !" With that words she visible relaxed. Abus stood up and once again started talking

" i have to go now , my dear , i am going to ask Severus to come by this afternoon if that's agreeable with you , please inform me immediately if somethings happens "

" of course , that's fine by me , please be quiet when you exit , i would like Harry to get as much rest as possible " And with a small smile and a nod of his head the headmaster left the office , he could not hep but stop by the side of the only occupied bed in the hospital wing . The boy really looked more like a 9 maybe 10 year old child rather than a teenager of nearly 14 . How did no one notice ? It is clear by his hallow face and small body that something most be wrong . How could he fail that bad as a headmaster and friend to not only the boy but also James and Lily ? Did he maybe have other students that go through the same ? He knew Severus had all of the students of his house undergo a physical exam at the start of every year , maybe is time to get the other head of houses to do the same .

Some time later in the headmasters office Albus was thinking about Harry , he wasn't comfortable with being away from the boy after everything that happened or even worse thinking about placing Harry with another family . A plan was forming in his head and a small smile on his face . A stern knock disrupted the peaceful flow of his thoughts

" come in Severus " The door opened and Severus entered in his usual black teaching ropes . Albus sight and thought to himself if he will ever get his potions professor to be less strict and more happy .

" headmaster " he greeted with a slight nod of his head " you wanted to see me ?"

" Severus ! How many times do i have to correct you ?"

" sorry dad , what do you want " Severus sat in a chair and looked away .Dumbeldore chuckled it is so easy to get his adopted son embarrassed " I have to talked with you about something really important and i would like for you to think about it before reacting "

" why do i get the feeling that i am not going to like it and that it has to do something with a certain brat that is in the hospital wing " Severus groaned

" As most of the times you are right ! What i am going to tell you know cat leave this room , Poppy found out that Harry has been abused by his relatives . Of course that mean that he can not go back there , i would like to know what you would say if i told you that i would like to get guardianship over Harry "
