Chapter 1

***Disclaimer****- I own nothing as all belongs to J.K. Rowling. This was just a story I created while using J.K. Rowlings' characters. Enjoy!

No one would have suspected this to happen. No one would have even guessed it. Ginny sat at a new local coffee shop in Diagon Alley called Witch's Brew. She drank her iced coffee while watching her daughter vigorously color in her book. Ginny never would have thought she would be a single mom. To be honest, she thought she'd have the perfect family with Harry Potter. Oh how life tends to throw many curve balls.

Ginny got lost in her thoughts while staring at her daughter with such love and joy. Her mind wandered back to the night she knew her daughter was conceived:

*****Three Years Prior******

The war was finally won. Voldemort was finally defeated and the light had overcome the darkness. A huge party had broken out at Hogwarts in celebration. Ginny sat amongst Ron, Hermione, and Harry. Many people were dancing and drinking fire whiskey happily. Ginny watched as Ron and Hermione snuggled closer together, but noticeably Harry was looking to rather be anywhere but there. Ginny had come to realize Harry was not wanting a relationship at this time and she had finally given up on him.

"Ginny, are you okay?" Harry looked at Ginny with concern in his eyes.

"Yeah, just with everything that has happened I am honestly overwhelmed and hurting. So many people were lost." Ginny exclaimed as a tear slid down her cheek.

Harry attempted to wipe it away, but Ginny got up and walked over to where the fire whiskey was.

Ginny began to pour herself a drink when a familiar, but not welcomed person came to her side.

"Weasley save some fire whiskey for the rest of us would you?" Draco Malfoy exclaimed with his eyes sparkling.

Ginny gave Draco a glare and drank her glass of fire whiskey quickly. She was not in the mood to hear him call her deplorable names or to make fun of her. She was hurting and fire whiskey was helping her to feel better.

Draco joined in by drinking his own glass of fire whiskey once Ginny actually gave him the bottle.

Surprisingly, the two started to have a conversation, but the noise and pain Ginny was experiencing from memories of the war became all too consuming. She excused herself and headed up to the Astronomy Tower.

Ginny sat down on the cold floor and let the tears flow. Life was so unfair. Fred should have lived. No one from the light should have died. Ginny was wiping the tears from her eyes when a familiar voice startled her.

"This war took so much from us all. I can not even fathom the pain you feel from losing Fred." Draco stated as he sat down next to her.

Ginny looked at Draco with tears in her eyes and said, "Why do you honestly care? You have hated me since day one."

Draco looked down at the ground and quietly said, "I based my feelings off of what my father told me. But I do not hate you. I have always thought you were special and beautiful."

Ginny turned her head to Draco and whispered, "Tonight, let's forget what happened and spend this moment in passion together. I know this seems forward, but I do not want to sulk in my pain. I want to forget."

Slowly, Ginny inched to Draco and captured his lips with her own.

Draco was surprised but a few seconds later and he kissed her back.

That night two people who once were enemies became entangled in a night of passion and desire.

********Present*******

Ginny snapped from her thoughts as she continued to watch her daughter. She had named her daughter Haven. The reason being that her daughter was her Safe Haven. Her daughter had strawberry blonde hair and the most piercing gray eyes that were just like her father's eyes. Haven was so much like Ginny in personality, but she was also similar to her father as well. She was cunning, but also loving and kind.

Ginny watched with joy as her daughter Haven held up her finished art work.

"Haven love that is the most beautiful coloring I have ever seen." Ginny exclaimed with joy so evident on her face.

Haven smiled and jumped out of her chair to embrace her mother dearly.

Ginny hugged her daughter back and then began to help pack up the coloring supplies to start to head home.

All of a sudden, Ginny heard an all too familiar voice.

"Hey Ginny, it has been such a long time."

Ginny turned to see none other than Draco Malfoy standing right before her.
