Chapter 4

Draco arrived back at Malfoy Manor. He entered the formal sitting room and found both of his parents waiting for him. Draco slumped into one of the chairs near the fire and stared into the flames.

"Draco, is there something wrong?" Narcissa Malfoy calmly asked.

Draco looked to his mother and said, "There is nothing wrong per say. I have just learned of some life changing news that I am learning to adjust to properly."

Lucius gave Draco a pointed look expecting him to share what this news was.

Draco took a deep breath and said, "Well, you know how three years ago there was that end of the war party at Hogwarts?"

Draco's parents slowly nodded and noticeably Lucius' hands clutched his cane tightly.

"Well, that night I slept with someone and from that I have a daughter" Draco stated looking into the eyes of his parents.

His parents remained quiet for a moment, but Lucius got up to pace the room.

"How do we know exactly that this child is yours?" Lucius asked.

Draco stared at his father and said, "I know. She looks exactly like me."

"Draco, who is the child's mother?" Narcissa asked calmly.

Draco stood and looked into the fire. He did not speak for a few moments.

"Draco, your mother asked you a question. It is impertinent that you respond to her immediately" Lucius stated.

Draco turned to his parents and said, "Ginny Weasley is my daughter's mother."

Narcissa's eyes went to the floor as Lucius stormed from the room.

Draco went closer to his mother and waited for her to say something.

Lucius stormed back in shouting, "You fool. The Weasleys are nothing but blood traitors. How dare you taint this family's name with the likes of them."

"Father, you will not speak of my child's mother in such fashion. She is a wonderful woman and an excellent mother. I am grateful she kept our daughter and has raised her thus far with such love and compassion" Draco stated matter of factly.

" I cannot even speak to you. Come Narcissa as our son needs to figure out how to fix this problem he has caused" Lucius stated as he guided Narcissa out of the room.

Draco stared at his parents' retreating backs and after a few moments, he then decided to head to his room.

Upon getting himself ready for bed, he slipped under the covers and willed his mind to. rest. He did end up falling asleep, but a certain red head and little girl occupied his mind before he fell into a deep sleep.

Ginny awoke bright and early as she rolled over to see her daughter standing there.

"Sweetheart, is everything okay? What's wrong?" Ginny asked her daughter.

"Nothing mom, I just wanted to know when breakfast will be ready" Haven innocently asked.

Ginny laughed and ushered her daughter into the kitchen. Ginny decided on making chocolate chip pancakes. After cooking, she had Haven sit down at the table and served her daughter breakfast. Ginny poured both of them orange juice and tucked into the meal.

After breakfast, Ginny had charmed the dishes to clean themselves and went to help Haven brush her teeth. Ginny then went with Haven into her room to get ready for the day. out a red t-shirt and blue jeans with trainers. After helping Haven get dressed, Ginny put Haven's hair up into a pony tail.

While Haven was occupied with her toys, Ginny brushed her teeth and got dressed into a Holyhead Harpies shirt with jeans and trainers. She threw her hair up into a messy bun and went into her daughter's room.

After some time, Ginny heard a knock on the front door and went to answer it. Upon opening the door, Ginny smiled to see Draco standing there. She had Draco come in and as soon as he did Haven rushed to him and enveloped him in a hug.

"Daddy, I missed you last night. You were not here to tuck me in" Haven stated while attempting her best pouty face.

Draco laughed and picked Haven up into his arms. "I am so sorry my sweet girl. I promise I will tuck you in tonight. I missed you and your mom terribly. How about today we go have some fun in Diagon Alley?"

Haven's eyes lit up and she looked to her mom for confirmation.

Ginny agreed and went to get hers and Haven's traveling cloaks.

Draco helped get Haven situated and once everyone was ready they all apparated together.
