Chapter 7

The sun streamed in through the window. Ginny's eyes fluttered open as she stretched in her bed. She realized Draco was no longer in the bed next to her. Noises were being made in the kitchen and Ginny got out of bed to go see what was going on.

Upon entering the kitchen, Ginny saw Draco next to the kitchen table with a breakfast spread. There were waffles, bacon, sausage, and eggs. There was orange juice poured into to glasses. Ginny looked at Draco and he was smiling.

"You always take care of Haven and you deserve to be spoiled every day" Draco stated as he pulled the chair out for Ginny as she sat down.

"Thank you Draco. This really looks amazing. How did you learn to cook?" Ginny asked curiously as she began to tuck into her breakfast.

"Well, I knew some basic spells for cooking and I remembered seeing the house elves at home making a breakfast similar to this. I just put two and two together quite honestly" Draco said as he also began to eat his breakfast.

The two chatted during breakfast about life and about Ginny's pregnancy with Haven.

"So, does your family know who Haven's father is?" Draco asked looking at Ginny.

"Yes, that is something I never hid from them. They were not pleased at all about it. However, I told them that I was fine with you being Haven's father and they could accept it or I would walk away with her. They did not want to lose me and Haven so they learned to accept it. I just wish your parents could accept it" Ginny said with a hint of sadness in her voice.

Draco reached across the table and stroked Ginny's had, "I wish they would to, but even if they don't you know you will have me in Haven's and your life."

Ginny smiled and a thought had come to her mind. Draco has been so kind, caring, loving, and affectionate with her. She did like Draco, but was not sure of his feelings for her. She knew his parents would not accept them being in a relationship.

"I can tell something is on your mind. Is something troubling you?" Draco asked with concern lacing his voice.

"Honestly, I am just trying to understand all of this. I love you being involved in Haven's life now and being here so often. I'm worried about when you find a pureblood woman that your family accepts then what will happen with Haven and I? I know I am thinking a lot, but it's honestly what I have been worried about" Ginny said as a single tear slid down her cheek.

Draco got up and went to kneel beside Ginny. She turned to look at him and he wiped the tear away. "Ginny, I am not sure how you feel and I do not want you to feel rushed in any way, but I do like you. I want us to be a family and to give us a try. I do not want to rush you and will go as slow as you want, but the thought of not being with you hurts me. I want to be able to be with you and Haven every day If you feel the same way, I hope you will want to give us a try."

Ginny smiled and gave Draco a huge hug. "I would love to give us a try. I definitely do not want to rush anything, but I want us to be a couple and most importantly a family with Haven. I am more than willing to give us a try."

Draco smiled and they stayed in their embrace for quite a few moments. Ginny then pulled away and said, "I'll clean up from breakfast and then I need to go pick Haven up from mum's."

Draco nodded and helped Ginny clean up from breakfast. Once everything was cleaned they went outside to apparate to the Burrow.

Arriving at the Burrow, Draco at first felt uneasy. He knew he was not a favored or liked person by the Weasleys. He was unsure at first, but Ginny gave his hand a gentle squeeze and she smiled at him. They both walked to the door together and stepped inside.

Inside the Burrow, Draco saw Mrs. Weasley busily cleaning up the kitchen. She then turned around, "Ginny it's good to see you dear. Hello there Draco. Welcome to our home." She went up to Draco and embraced him. This. Action had shocked Draco as this was not what he expected at all.

"Hey mum, where is Haven?" Ginny asked.

"She's outside with Hugo and Rose. Hermione and Ron are out back with them" Mrs. Weasley said as she ushered Draco and Ginny to the backyard.

Ginny saw Haven running after Hugo and Rose in what looked like a game of tag. She went up to Hermione and gave her a hug. Draco had followed behind Ginny.

Hermione noticed Draco first and said, "It's a surprise to see you here Malfoy. I hope you are doing well."

Draco replied, "Well Haven is my daughter too and I am here with Ginny to pick her up."

Ron turned his attention to Draco with a scowl on his face. "Malfoy, I can't say I am happy to see you, but I know you are Haven's father and while I may not like that fact at all. I will try to get along with you for her sake."

Draco nodded in agreement and the adults were interrupted by a young voice yelling.

"Mummy! Daddy! I missed you!" Haven said as she ran into her mum's arms.

Ginny held her close and kissed her on the head. Haven turned in her mum's arms to reach out for Draco.

Draco took her and Haven immediately nuzzled into his chest. Draco had a huge smile on his face as he gently kissed Haven's head.

They all walked to the front of the Burrow. After saying their goodbyes, Draco, Ginny, and Haven apparated back to Ginny's home.

They walked inside to put away Haven's things. She had gotten dirty while playing with her cousins. Ginny took Haven into the bathroom to give her a bath. Draco stood in the doorway as he had no idea on how to bathe a child.

"Draco, did you have any plans for us today?" Ginny had asked while washing Haven's hair.

"I was thinking we could go again to Diagon Alley and maybe visit the sweets shop there" Draco said with a smile on his face.

Ginny nodded in agreement and said, "Could you pick out some fresh clothes for Haven to where? I forgot to grab some on my way in here.

Draco nodded and went to look in Haven's drawers. He picked out a light blue t-shirt and some dark jeans. He grabbed her trainers from the closet and went back to the bathroom where Ginny and Haven were.

After getting Haven dressed and her hair put into two braids, the little family then went to apparate to Diagon Alley.

Ginny and Draco walked hand in hand on the streets of Diagon Alley. Haven had grabbed onto Draco's other hand. They reached the new sweets shop which was called Land O' Sweets. They stepped inside and were taken aback by how much candy and sweets there were in the store.

Haven's eyes got wide and she began to jump excitedly. They walked around the store and after getting a bag full of sweets they went to pay. Draco paid for their sweets and they exited the store. They found a table area not too far away and sat down there.

"Mummy can I please have a sweet now?" Haven asked eyeing the bag with hunger in her eyes.

Ginny laughed and let Haven pick out one sweet from the bag.

Haven grabbed a Cauldron Cake and began to take small bites.

The family was enjoying their time together when an unwelcome voice spoke.

"There you are Draco. You left last night after a heated discussion" Lucius spoke.

Draco and Ginny both looked up to Lucius. He was there with Narcissa, but also another woman. She was young and had long dark hair. Her dark eyes looked to Draco and Ginny and she spoke not a word yet.

"Father, what may I ask are you doing here? I am out with Ginny and our daughter right now. Can we speak later on in private?" Draco asked glaring at his father.

"No Draco. I figured you would not listen to me and so I brought someone along this time. Draco, this is your soon to be wife Astoria Greengrass" Lucius stated.

Ginny was taken aback and Draco just glared at his father.

"Father you are mistaken. I am in a relationship with Ginny and I have my own family here. I apologize Ms. Greengrass, but it seems my father has given you false information" Draco said as he held onto Ginny's hand. He began to run circles on her hand with his thumb in an attempt to help her calm down.

"Lucius, you did not tell me he was involved already and has a child. I do not want to break up a happy family" Astoria said looking between Draco and Lucius.

"Astoria that does not matter. Ms. Weasley is not a concern in this situation. Draco will be happy to marry you" Lucius stated daring Draco to defy him.

"Father, I do not want Astoria. I am happy with Ginny and our daughter. I kindly ask you to all leave. We are having family time" Draco stated.

Before Lucius could respond, a small voice responded.

"Why don't you like me? Mummy says I am Perry. Daddy likes me too. Why can't you like me?" Haven innocently asked.

"Well….it's just that…." Lucius started, but he could not find the words to say.

"I am going to leave I am sorry about this Draco and Ginny" Astoria said as she apparated away.

Ginny looked to Lucius and said, "I cannot believe you. Draco wants to be in our lives and we want him in ours. I am disgusted by how you treat us. Haven is your granddaughter and I hope you come to accept this. Until then, do not address our daughter or me in any circumstance."

Ginny grabbed Haven and they apparated quickly to their home.

Draco looked at his parents and said, "I am highly disappointed in you. I love them both dearly and want to spend the rest of my days with them. You do not get it at all. I would do anything for them both. I am going to go and do not contact me. If I feel ready to do so and when I decide, we can meet to talk civilly. Until then, leave me alone."

Draco apparated away and Lucius and Narcissa stood their in silence for a few moments.

They shortly apparated back to Malfoy Manor.
