Chapter 8

When Draco arrived at Ginny's home, he tentatively knocked on her door. He heard a soft, "Come in" from inside the house. The door was unlocked and Draco stepped inside.

He noticed that Ginny was on the couch with her legs curled up underneath her. He walked over to the couch and sat down next to her.

"I put Haven down for her nap. She just fell asleep a few minutes before you got here" Ginny said not looking at Draco quite yet.

"Ginny, please look at me. Are you okay?" Draco asked with concern lacing his voice.

Ginny slowly turned to look at Draco and it was evident she had been crying. Her eyes were red and puffy. Her cheeks were also red.

Draco sat closer to Ginny and held her. They spent a few moments being near each other.

" I am so sorry for what my parents did. I am angry that they even tried to pull that crap about me marrying someone else" Draco said as he held Ginny tighter.

"I get they do not like me, but to bring another woman around our daughter and announce you will marry her. Haven does not need to hear that or be around someone like that. I want them to know Haven, but the way they acted is angering me" Ginny said as anger flashed in her eyes.

"I know. I want you to know that I only want you. I want to be a family with you and Haven. If my parents cannot accept that, then I do not need them around our family" Draco stated with sincerity in his eyes.

Ginny smiled and said, "I do not want you to have to give up your family. I just wish they could love Haven and have more respect for us."

Draco nodded and said, "I want you and Haven in my life. At this point, if I lost them because of you I would be fine with it. You and Haven mean so much more to me."

Ginny gave Draco a hug and as they were in their embrace a small voice broke them apart.

"Mummy, is daddy going away?" Haven asked as a tear slid down her face.

Draco picked up Haven and held her close. "My sweet girl, daddy is not going anywhere. I love you and will always be here for you and mummy."

"That man said you were marrying that lady" Haven said as her lip quivered.

"No sweetie. That man is your grandpa as he is my dad. He is wrong. When I marry someone, I promise it will be mummy" Draco said kissing the top of Haven's head.

Haven had calmed down and she snuggled close into Draco's chest.

Ginny was smiling at the moment before her. She knew she was falling for Draco and was so happy to know he would be staying with them regardless of what Lucius or Narcissa had to say.

The little family cuddled on the couch for a long time. They had dinner later on that evening and gone back to the couch to talk and enjoy the time together. Haven had fallen back asleep and Draco brought her back into her room and had tucked her into her bed after changing her into her pajamas.

Ginny and Draco both kissed Haven goodnight and they crept out into the living room.

"Do you want me to stay?" Draco asked as he held Ginny in his arms.

"Honestly, of course I do. I find I sleep better when you are with me".Ginny said as she smiled up at him.

Draco smiled and leaned down. Their lips connected and it was as if sparks flew. They both had this immense feeling of joy rush through them.

The kiss had begun to deepen and Draco then pulled away.

Ginny looked at him quizzically, but Draco said, "I do not want to rush anything. I want you to know I respect you and care deeply for you."

Ginny smiled and grabbing Draco by the hand they walked into her room. They both undressed and had put some pajamas on (Draco had brought some clothes over since he was with Ginny and Haven everyday) and climbed into bed.

After another passionate kiss, Ginny was pulled against Draco's chest as her back was facing him.

They both fell into a deep sleep and were very content.

In the morning, Ginny felt a sudden weight on her. Opening her eyes, Haven was looking at her.

"Hi mummy. I came to see if you were up" Haven said as she snuggled against her mom.

Ginny smiled and held Haven close to her.

Draco stirred and rolled over to see Haven sitting on Ginny's abdomen.

"Hi sweetie, did you sleep okay?" Draco asked as he ruffled Haven's hair.

"Yes daddy I did. Can we ear now?" Haven asked as she got off Ginny to stand by the door.

Ginny and Draco laughed. "I can go make some breakfast" Ginny said as she got up.

Ginny went to the bathroom to brush her teeth and walked with Haven to the kitchen to begin making some omelettes.

After a few moments, Draco got out of bed and went to brush his teeth. He then made his way to the kitchen as he watched Ginny with Haven.

"Mummy look I am helping!" Haven excitedly said as she helped sprinkle some pepper on the omelettes.

Ginny smiled and said, "You are the best helper. Now let's put these plates on the table as daddy will be out shortly."

Draco smiled at the scene before him. He knew he was falling instantly for Ginny. She was an amazing mother and an amazing woman. She held herself with such grace and showed their daughter so much love and compassion.

Draco walked over to the table and the little family began to eat their breakfast together.

After cleaning up the dishes, the family decided to stay in and Haven had asked Draco to play with her.

The family played with Haven's toys and also went outside to run around as well.

They were all so very happy and loving this time together.

However, someone was watching from a distance unbeknownst to the little family.

The figure disappeared after a few moments and returned back to their home.

Draco, Ginny, and Haven continued to enjoy themselves on this sunny day.
