Chapter 9

The next few weeks were a bliss for Ginny, Draco, and Haven. Draco was staying more with Ginny and Haven. They were really becoming more and more of a family. Draco still worked with his father and Lucius had not said much more about Ginny or Haven to Draco. Draco was truly grateful for that.

Draco and Ginny were getting closer and closer. Their feelings for one another were growing deeper. Haven was loving having her dad with them now and Draco was really blossoming more into an amazing father.

Ginny was at the Burrow with Haven as Draco was currently at work. She was in the backyard with Hermione while the kids were playing.

While in deep conversation, Ginny had felt a tap on her shoulder. As she turned around, she came face to face with Harry Potter.

"Hello Harry. I have not seen you in a while. How have you been?" Ginny politely asked.

"I am doing well. Hey Gin, can I talk to you in private for a minute?" Harry asked.

"Ummm sure…Hermione could you keep an eye on Haven for a minute?" Ginny asked looking over at Hermione.

"Of course I can, go ahead" Hermione said while smiling.

Ginny and Harry walked off some ways and stood near a tree. Harry leaned up against the tree. Ginny stood near, but had some distance between them. She was waiting on Harry to talk first.

"Look Gin, I know things did not work out with us the first time. I have had a long time to think and I really want to be with you. I love you and I will love Haven too despite who her father is" Harry said as he had gotten closer to Ginny.

Ginny had backed up and her anger was flared. "First of all, I have gone over this with you. I think we are better off as friends. Draco and I are in a committed relationship. He and I both want this to work out with us and be a family with Haven. You need to understand this."

Harry had tried to grab Ginny by the waist, but Ginny moved quickly from his grasp.

"Look Gin, Draco is not a good guy. He is a Death Eater for goodness sake. You and Haven should not be around someone like him. I can forgive you for sleeping with him and getting pregnant. I will love Haven like my own daughter. We can get married and have more kids of our own together" Harry said walking closer to Ginny.

"Harry, you are not getting this at all. I liked you a very long time ago. I changed and things have changed. I want to be with Draco like he wants to be with me. We are happy together. It is the best for Haven and me. If you cannot see this, then we cannot be friends. I'm sorry" Ginny said as she turned on her heel and ran back to Hermione.

Without saying much of anything, Ginny grabbed Haven and briefly said goodbye to her family and disapparated back to her home.

Upon returning home, Ginny was surprised to see Draco was home. Her heart became much happier and Draco smiled upon seeing his girlfriend and daughter.

Haven ran up to her dad and Draco picked her up. He swung her around gave her a kiss on her head. She hugged Draco back. When Draco looked to Ginny, he noticed she was visibly upset.

"Haven sweetie, can you play in your room for a bit? Daddy needs to talk to mummy right now" Draco lovingly said to Haven.

"Okay daddy!" Haven excitedly said as she ran to play with her toys in her room.

Ginny to the couch and waited a moment for Ginny to speak.

"I was at the Burrow with Hermione and her kids. We were all in the backyard enjoying the day. Haven, Rose, and Hugo were all playing in the backyard together. Then Harry came" Ginny said looking at Draco with anger in her eyes.

"What happened with Potter?" Draco asked as he lovingly stroked Ginny's arm.

"He basically was stating I should be with him because you're a Death Eater and no good for me or Haven. He had the audacity to even state him and I should marry and have kids together. I kept telling him that I did not want to be with him at all. He kept trying to grab at me" Ginny said as anger flickered in her eyes.

Draco was very angry and he stood to pace the room. "Who does he think he his knowing what is best for you and Haven? I know I made many bad decisions in my lifetime, but you and Haven are the best things that have happened to me. Do you see me as a Death Eater still?" Draco asked as worry filled his eyes.

Ginny got up and wrapped her arms around Draco. "No, I do not see you as a Death Eater still. I see an amazing man and father that is doing the best he can. I want to be with you regardless of what anyone has to say."

Draco smiled at Ginny and the two shared a deep kiss. They were interrupted when Haven came into the room.

"Mummy, I'm hungry" Haven said.

"Okay love. Let's go make some dinner" Ginny said as she picked Haven up.

The family cooked together and made a wonderful pasta meal. They sat down and talked together. Haven told Draco all about her day. She told him how she played with Hugo and Rose. Draco was animatedly talking with Haven and Ginny felt her heart grow even warmer.

Later on, Draco helped Ginny give Haven her bath and helped tuck Haven into bed. After bedtime stories and lots of goodnight kisses, Draco and Ginny turned the light off and partially closed Haven's door.

They sat down on the couch together and cuddled up against one another.

"I will never know how to thank you for the amazing gift of Haven. I love her endlessly and she is the perfect mix of the both of us" Draco said as he kissed Ginny on the temple.

Ginny looked up at him, "We both made her together. I am thankful for your involvement and being the best father to her. You are an amazing man and I am grateful to call you mine" Ginny said.

They looked into each other's eyes for some time and then Draco suggested they go to bed.

The two of them got up and got ready for bed. After sliding under the covers, Draco pulled Ginny against his chest.

Before they fell asleep, Ginny heard Draco say, "I love you Ginny".

In the stillness of the night Draco heard her reply, "I love you too Draco."
