Suri learns about the incident between Bakugou and Gemini. A long awaited reunion is had. What does that mean for Suri?
"Get the hell off of me, Mohawk!"
Bakugou screamed into Suri's ear, because she had practically thrown herself at him and hugged him. Why? Because she felt responsible for what he'd told her.
After Suri had come clean about herself, Bakugou had more or less pulled her to the side after everyone left to talk to her about Gemini. Gemini was a serial killer, a psychotic sociopath, and scariest of all, a werehyena. He told her about him being strapped to a chair and how they had repeatedly tried to make him join the League.
Of course, that hadn't worked.
Bakugou was as, if not more, stubborn than even Suri was. And she was pretty damn stubborn and bullheaded.
He had told her that those first twenty four hours had been uneventful, boring even… then came Gemini's turn to stand guard over him. He talked about the encounter, told her about her advances on him. He told her that as much as he hated to admit it; he enjoyed her. He felt sick for enjoying having sex with a serial killer. Felt sick that he gave into her. Hated himself for not trying to blow her away or to fight her. He knew he hadn't had a very good chance of survival but he felt stupid for not trying. He hated himself for the sick teenage fantasy he'd had and turned into reality. Hated that he passed out in her arms of all places. And he felt even more sick when he showed Suri the gift she'd left him. She had stared wide eyed in terror as he lifted his shirt and showed her his back and the fresh scar tissue there.
On the back of his left shoulder at the center of the blade was a mark carved into his skin. He'd been branded like a prized cattle. She left the same design as the tattoo on her neck, which they'd learned was the astrological symbol for Gemini. She'd literally marked him as hers. When he pulled his shirt down and they both thought of the way the villainess had sexually assaulted him and violated him while he was unconscious, Suri launched herself at him. She'd pulled him into a hard hug, holding him tight as she told him how sorry she was.
She finally let him push her away and she balled her fists, staring down at the sand. She hated Gemini. Hated her for what she'd done to her, the mess she'd caused for Mina, and for what she'd done to Bakugou.
"I did this, Bakugou."
"Don't," he growled. "Don't you dare pity me because this isn't anything to do with you, dammit."
"How?" Suri looked at him incredulously. "How am I not responsible for this?
"Look," he scowled hard at her, his voice still gritty but not his usually boisterous voice. It was more considerate for him. "You couldn't have known that Gemini was going to join up with these bastards. And you sure as hell wouldn't know whether other lycanthropes would become villains either. Seems to me the rules you guys have would scare most dipshits into not doing something really fucking stupid. Other than you I guess."
"Thanks, asshole," she scoffed and rolled her eyes at him.
"Shut it! The point is," he took a deep breath and then looked hard at Suri. "Don't add me to your list of burdens cause I don't want your goddamn pity. Don't you dare be sad for me because I wasn't strong enough to get away in the first place. What I do want from you is…"
His focus drifted downwards from Suri's face to the sand and it made Suri realize just how much pride Bakugou was swallowing just standing here talking to her. It made her respect him more than she already did and grateful for him being willing to even stand in front of her right now.
"I need you to teach me how to beat Gemini. You're like her, right, so if you train me-"
"Deal."
"Huh?"
"You got yourself a deal," Suri said simply and held her hand out to him.
Bakugou stared at Suri's hand for a long moment and then back up to her eyes. He looked offended by the gesture or the fact that she hadn't fought him on anything, he looked like he had been expecting a yelling match and got nothing. The longer he stared at her like a bewildered mess, the more she felt her patience slip until finally she gave up. Suri let out a long sigh, closing her eyes and then slowly opening them to him.
"My old man is right. You're right. I couldn't have known that Gemini would show up but," she crossed her arms tight as she stared at him, her eyes becoming harder. "That doesn't mean I shouldn't have expected it and I'm stupid for thinking that it wasn't a possibility. Like I said before, I should have come out and said what I am sooner so all of this would have been over with by now. It's whatever at this point so I'm gonna shut up about it. Anyway, now that we do know that Gemini and others like her could become an issue we need to train. We need to be prepared. So yeah, I'mma teach you how to kick Gemini's ass."
"Whatever you say," he rolled his eyes and humphed. Suri knew it was his way of trying to act like himself but he had agreed with her. "Anyway," he scoffed, throwing his thumb behind his shoulder. "Go chat with Racoon Eyes, Insivachick, and the damn nerd. They're being bitchy and it's pissing me the fuck off."
"Goodnight to you too, Bakugou," Suri smirked before watching him turn around and stroll down the beach towards his home.
Suri watched him for a moment and then set her gaze on an angry looking pair of girls who both had their arms folded tight against their chests. In between them was Izuku who looked like he couldn't decide if he wanted to be scared and cry or if he wanted to pissed at someone. They weren't happy with Suri. Not one bit and it was and had been the beast girl's fault for making them feel this way. She sighed and swallowed the nervousness in her down before she began walking towards them and stopped in front of the trio. She looked each of them in the eyes and then closed her own and proceeded to debase herself in front of them. She went to her knees and laid herself flat against the warm sun baked sand, only lifting herself off of the ground enough to speak so that they could hear her.
"I know I should have told you guys what I wanted to do. But I knew you'd say no," Suri admitted. "I'm sorry that I didn't say anything beforehand."
"Suri, you know how we feel about you calling yourself a monster," Tooru scolded.
"We've begged you again and again not to say it with the feeling you put behind it," Mina added. "You know how much of a monster fan I am. And we all know about me joking about being a monster fucker but you understand the difference between how we say it. I'm not just being dumb, right? You know… I don't think of you as a bad monster. Or am I imagining things?"
"No, Mina, I know exactly what you mean when you say it. We've joked about it from day one basically," Suri shook her head, still not allowing herself to look at the three of them. "And, Tooru, you're right. I do know better. I know how much you hate hearing me call myself a monster the way I do. I just… I guess there's a part of me that thinks you guys might end up like my human friends before… when they found out. That's… part of the reason I hide what I am around everyone."
"Suri," Izuku spoke up, his voice laced with worry and doubt. "D-Do you not trust us completely then? A-And about what else you said… Would you really just throw yourself away like that?"
"And please get up," Tooru sighed with a sort of embarrassed inflection.
"Just look at us already," Mina continued, her voice filled with a myriad of uncomfortable frustration, doubt, and sadness.
Suri took a deep breath and lifted herself and let her eyes fall on the three of them once again, it made the tears welling in the corners of her eyes fall. For more times in the last week, than she had in her entire life, she cried. Cried because she thought she would lose everything and everyone she had tried to hold dear. If no one wanted her and no one trusted her, why not just get the big thing over with? Why waste the next three years grasping at straws when it could be over nice and quick? Except, that too was a lie. It wasn't a nice or quick execution. It was slow and gruesomely painful. And the 'no one wanting her or trusting her' part was absolute bullshit because they had the class votes and she knew that wasn't true. Hell, she had three of those people that she decided a long time ago wouldn't run from her right there. They'd made good on the promise they didn't realize they'd made.
"I do trust you. The three of you I… I love you," she scoffed at herself with a half smile. She was thinking more and more how dumb she'd acted. "Mina, Tooru, Izuku, goddamit I love you three more than I thought I could love someone. And that's why I didn't say anything… I was being a brat and wanted… I guess I was being an ass and wanting to prove to myself that everyone was scared of me like I thought they were. I knew you three would be reasonable and tell me no, Suri, you know better than that and… I guess I was- ow!"
Suri's rambling was cut short when she felt a hard spike of pain radiate through her forehead and she looked up to see Mina squatting in front of her having just flicked the beast girl. The flick had been harder on purpose and it did its job. It shut Suri up.
"Just… stop talking," Mina sighed.
Before Suri could answer or really do anything, the pinkette launched herself at her girlfriend and tackled Suri into the sand. Mina latched herself onto Suri and hugged her especially tight, making Suri think she was going to get bear hugged to death from the force and effort being put in. Though, it wouldn't be a bad way to go. After a long moment of being wrapped in Mina's warmth, the acid user pulled back and laid a kiss on Suri's forehead. She then rolled back onto her feet and pulled Suri up with her where she was then promptly attacked by Tooru. The invisible girl didn't tackle Suri back into the sand but she sure as hell put effort into it. She hugged and held Suri tight after practically slamming her head into the crook of Suri's neck, which ended up being a sort of pleasant pain. And then, finally, after another long moment, Tooru relented and was immediately replaced by Izuku, who was nervous about hugging Suri at the beginning but eventually swallowed every ounce of shyness and embraced Suri harder than the two girls before him.
He then parroted what she had said to him when she came to see him in Hosu.
"Don't you dare scare me like that ever again."
The commanding force, even if unintentional, he put behind those words about made Suri buckle. Her knees weakened and it took everything in her to resist the urge to say something along the lines of yes, sir only with a different loving title instead. He then gave her another fierce look, one that made her shiver again but the words made her shiver for different reasons all together.
"So if we had been the only ones willing to let you stay at UA you'd leave us. Just like that? And you'd really… you'd really want your execution to happen faster?"
Suri turned her head and forced herself to look away from that look in his eyes. There was the determination that she craved and that made her turn to putty in his hands, but there was also an immense amount of sadness there. She couldn't look at him with him being sad. She couldn't look at any of them with that sadness in their eyes. So she didn't. And it made her miss their faces softening and made her miss the presence now standing behind her.
"Wouldn't have worked anyway."
Suri turned and looked up at her dad standing behind her. He stared down at her and let a smirk curl over his lips and he humphed softly as Suri tried to give him a ferocious look. It hadn't worked. It came out more like a pout that she'd always given him as a rambunctious toddler. He'd let her try and put on the tough girl routine.
"What are you talking about? And why the hell are you here, dad," she sneered.
Alpha just sighed and rolled his eyes as his big arms came up to cross over his chest. He stared down at his daughter and pursed his lips in one of those parental what am I gonna do with you kind of looks. And in his mind he had said the exact same thing the look had warranted. He decided to try and be the light hearted and lovable dad, something he hadn't done much lately.
"Sheesh, a 'hi dad, how are you' would be nice, ya know?" He smirked, then let his eyes follow upwards to the three other teens. "And besides, I wanted to see what kind of mates my little girl has picked out for herself."
Suri heard him emphasize the M word and her cheeks began to burn and turned bright red. She blushed Izuku type levels and her eyes went massively wide.
"D-Dad!"
The use of the M word was also not lost on the other three who were various blushing messes themselves, Izuku being the absolute worst of the three. And it was only made worse when he got singled out by the big man.
"Especially this one. I don't think we've ever properly met and, boy, ya know it's customary to get the father's blessing before anything happens. You feel me?" Alpha's gaze darkened as he sort of leaned and loomed himself directly over Suri and Izuku. He made himself look like the beast looking you over and making sure you weren't a real threat. In fact, that's what he was doing now.
"Dad," Suri growled, letting it rumble up through her throat.
"Y-Yes, sir!" Izuku shrieked and instantly bowed at the hip, stepping back from the three girls enough to do so. Then he began muttering and his hands shot up to try and muffle everything said next. "I'm Izuku Midoriya and I'm one of Suri's friends and I really really like her a lot but if I'm being completely honest I'm pretty sure I'm super in love with her which is sort of weird because the only things I've ever loved is All Might and heroes and Quirks and my mom and Katsudon so like I know I messed up big time oh crap I should have gone to ask Mina and Tooru's dads too oh my god oh my god oh my god I fell in love with all three of them and I messed that part up dammit now their families are gonna hate me and you probably don't think I'm any good for Suri now I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I swear I wasn't going to treat her bad or treat Tooru and Mina bad cause they're my best friends and I don't know what I'd do without them and crap I've dreamed about them a lot which is bad I know but I swear I'm not a pervert or any thing I don't want to do anything bad okay okay I really want to make love to all three of them and kiss them and hold them a lot because they're the most beautiful women I've ever met oh crap I admitted that outloud shit now they're gonna think I'm weird and now I won't be able to go on dates with them or anything but dammit I really want to I've never wanted anything more than being a hero and I want them just as much oh crap I said that out loud too oh my god I'm embarrassing just end me now I'm gonna die from embarrassment and I-"
Izuku yelped as his hands were yanked from over his mouth where they had been clasped, but also hadn't drowned out anything he had said in his muttering fest. The muttering fest had made Alpha twist his eyebrows upwards in confusion because he hadn't even made a villain that scared before and instantly regretted overdoing the scary dad routine. He hadn't needed to use an ounce of intimidation he normally did before Izuku went on one of the most honest heartfelt confessions ever. He felt bad for embarrassing the hell out of the kid. But then he watched and his heart tightened up as he saw what happened next.
Suri stormed forward, grabbed the boy and forcefully shook him out of his sputtering mess by kissing him. It was an awkward sight for a dad so he simply scratched the back of his head and looked anywhere but in front of him.
The moment Suri crashed her lips into Izuku's, his cheeks and heart burned from the feel of her. He'd realized he hadn't kissed Suri in over a week and was reminded why he had enjoyed it. He took a deep breath and sunk into her, happy to push back against the beast girl as she suckled on his bottom lip so tenderly for what seemed like an eternity. When Suri pulled back Izuku was then quickly grabbed and drawn into Tooru who wrapped her arms tightly around the other three teens and pushed her lips to Izuku's, kissing him hard, but not as bruising as Suri had been. When he pulled back he saw tears rolling down the invisible girl's cheek but before he could ask, Mina grabbed him and turned him to her and the last thing he saw was her smirking happily and then felt her lips on his. She pushed her lips on him long enough for him to run out of breath and she finally relented when he struggled, pulling off with a loud, happy mwuah sound.
"Just when I think you can't be any more adorable," Suri sighed and pulled the group of them tight, all four of them laying their foreheads against one another. She took a deep breath and rolled her eyes upwards so that she could see three other pairs looking into hers. "I'm… I'm really sorry about the shit that I put you through today. Mina, Izuku, Tooru, I… I love you, so fucking much."
"We love you too," Mina answered. "But like, Green Bean said. Don't scare us like that and don't throw yourself away so easily."
Speaking of which.
Suri leaned back and turned in the arms of her three loves and looked upwards at the big man looming just out of the way. Her eyes narrowed as she gave him the best angry daughter stare which only made him shrug and roll his eyes at her.
"What did you mean by it wouldn't have worked?" She queried with cautious disbelief.
Alpha sighed and put his hands on his hips.
"Ya know, if you'd answer a phone call once in a while, you'd be in the loop on things. Especially pack business," he drawled.
Suri cringed and flinched involuntarily. That was one of the things Tooru and Mina had told her to do; start making amends with her family. She may have… sort of been preoccupied doing something else completely. Or rather, two someones and would be, hopefully, adding a third fairly soon. She could feel the pointed glares being given to her and she tried to happily force a chuckle and shake them off.
Her dad simply groaned and hung his head, smacking his hand against his forehead.
"Well, to start things off. I stepped down as Ulfric. Mathias is running the pack completely with his fiance, Rossi, as his Lupa. Together, the two of them put on an all challengers welcome gauntlet for the title of Wolf King and Wolf Queen last month... Which basically turned into a brawl, pitting our family against the rest of the clan. Even Hunter was involved," he sighed and shook his head.
The entire time Suri's eyes had grown wider with disbelief and shock. Then her expression turned to anger when she found out that even her twelve year old little brother got into a fight. It angered her enough that she broke from Izuku, Mina, and Tooru to face Alpha. Her brows furrowed into a deep scowl and anger infused power rose off of her skin like fire.
"Why in the hell would Hunter be involved? Where were you? Did mom or Alexis and Eve know? What the fuck were you guys thinking?"
"I was on assignment in Italy," he answered and shrugged.
"Wh-" Suri waved her hands, trying to compute that bit of information. "Why would you be in Italy? Was it Mathias and Rossi's idea then?"
"Like I said, it was our family against the rest of the clan. From what I was told, everyone had left Hunter alone but he threw himself into danger to help 'Cedes," he explained so casually.
"Lemme get this straight," Suri shook her head and pointed her fingers at her temples, partially rubbing them as the entire situation started to make her brain hurt. "You're saying Mathias and Rossi, congrats to them by the way, basically told the clan to put up or shut up. And the clan basically said bet and went after not only them but my mothers, your wives, Dante and Mercedes, your son and his girlfriend, and it got so bad that Hunter had to put out a fire himself? The clan tried to pull a Moscow?"
"Pretty much," he shrugged and chuckled.
"What's a Moscow?" Izuku timidly asked, not getting an immediate response.
"What's so fucking funny, dad?" Suri snarled up at him.
"Because you're just as mad at Hunter having to get involved as I was with you. Before I stepped down I had a long ass talk with the rest of the family and we hashed a lot of things out that were strained or broken long before you left. We hashed out a lot of things I broke everyone's trust on, namely me and you," he smiled and took a deep breath as he explained everything further. "Hunter has caught your temper and your rambunctiousness, the little shit he is, but he's the one that called me and Mathias out at home and made us realize how much all of us had fucked up. I gave full control over to Mathias so I could focus on scaling back my hero work and be at home for Dante, Hunter, and your mothers."
Suri physically shivered and started to look worried that Hunter might have caught her mean streak and hoped him jumping in didn't result in him doing something he'd regret.
"Mathias confronted the entire clan the night of the Lupanar while I was in Rome, and issued the challenge specifically at the olde guard and the traditionalist sects."
The olde guard and the traditionalists? As in the ones who hated Suri and hated that a leopard was equal to a Wolf Queen? Wait! That meant…
"He called out Hyrum's friends, girlfriend, and brother and… from what I heard was said from the boys," Alpha paused, his fist balled tightly into his hands, maring his skin as his own anger flared. It was anger mixed with a wave of regret. "We should have fucking listened to you."
Suri's eyes went wide.
"Vic laughed it off and said some really fucked up shit about you and what Hyrum had said then went on to tell him how much he was going to love butchering you. That's when Mathias issued the challenge and staked an executive order dependent upon his victory."
"Dad… what executive order?" Suri scowled, giving him an incredulous look.
Alpha simply smirked and gave his daughter a glint of fang.
"It means you get to come home whenever you want. You don't gotta worry anymore."
Suri's eyes went wide and tears began to fill them as she heard a voice from behind her. A voice that made her heart jump and begin beating rapidly as every ounce of emotion spilled out of her in a crashing wave of joy and happiness. She turned around to see that Izuku, Tooru, and Mina had moved out of the way and looked shocked to see a small group of people behind them. Their eyes went wider as Suri's otherworldly speed made her practically teleport those few small meters past them and into the group, crashing into the shortest of the seven hard. She bawled inaudibly as she squeezed and held the smaller boy tight, burying her face into his shoulder. After a long moment of tears and wailing she pulled back and slammed her lips to his forehead, kissing him for the first time in months. The boy in question was embarrassed as hell but, he too, started crying as he was held and, when they pulled back enough, Tooru, Mina, and Izuku realized who everyone was.
They began to cry as well, feeling an overwhelming happiness for Suri.
Suri relented from the smallest boy and then moved up and crashed hard into another teen a couple years older and a couple inches taller than her. She held him tight and did the same as she'd done to their youngest brother and buried her face into his shoulder. After hugging him, she moved into the group of three older women, wrapping her arms tightly around them and squeezing the three of them together. Then she moved to the last two, first hugging the woman and happily congratulating her in person before turning to the final individual. She crashed herself hard into him, burying her face into his chest because of how much he dwarfed her and held him tight. Again after a long moment of holding him, she moved back, her eyes still watering from the surprise and then she turned around to face her beaus. It took her a long time to finally have some clarity to speak and she had to fan herself several times as bouts of crying and blubbering resurfaced but, finally, she was able to calm enough to speak.
"I umm s-so… fuck umm… So these are my girlfriends Mina Ashido and Tooru Hagakure and t-this is our boyfriend, Izuku Midoriya," she sobbed, getting some clear words out finally as she introduced the invisible girl, pinkette, and greenette. She then turned from the three of them with a happy smile and motioned towards the group. "Babes, this… this is my family. This is my little brother, Hunter. My brother Dante. These are my moms, Maon, Eve, and Alexis. My soon to be sister, Rossi, and finally, my big brother Mathias."
Suri then wiped her eyes and moved quickly past her loves, giving them happy smiles before coming to the big man on the other side of them. She pursed her lips and then slammed herself into him as well, burying her face into his chest, holding him tight for a long moment.
"By decree of the Ulfric and Lupa of the Aspen Throne Clan," Mathias spoke, his voice a similar kind of whiskey smooth baritone voice as their dad. "Suri Kuroyashi-Okwondu, you have been acquitted of the charge of defacing ancient rituals and interfering with the sacred rite to Ulfric. Effectively immediately, the order of execution is null and void."
Suri turned and faced Mathias as he spoke, her eyes going wide and her mouth falling agape. She was waiting for the dream to end but it didn't. She looked up at her big brother and her eyes shimmered as a fresh set of tears began to pour down her face. The words hit her with the full weight of what they meant and she couldn't be happier than she was right now.
Part of her, like the angel on her shoulder - which looked like Shiozaki for some reason - said she still needed redemption. That, even though the Wolf King and Queen said she was getting off free and clear, she had to make the effort to make it right. She'd do that because goddammit she was going to school to be a hero and she was going to fucking be one. She'd save the rest of her nine hundred and ninety eight quota. Or was she down to, like, nine hundred and sixty?
Either way, the miniature version of Shiozaki and the devils on her shoulder who had just appeared - which, for some reason, happened to be Mina and Tooru in a pair of dominatrix outfits - both agreed on one thing.
She was free!
At long last!
Hallelujah and a motherfuckin' amen!
