Chapter 18

**I own nothing as all belongs to J.K. Rowling**

It was the next day and Draco knew that today he would be proposing to Ginny. He had it planned out that Arthur and Molly would take Haven for the night so that Draco could let his plan play out.

Ginny had already made breakfast and their bellies were now full. Haven wanted to play outside and so Ginny and Draco went outside with her. They were out there for a long time and Draco realized it was getting into the evening hours.

He had told Ginny that Arthur and Molly wanted Haven to spend the night as they wanted to spend time with her. Ginny thought nothing of it and happily agreed. She had packed clothes for Haven to take with her to her grandparents.

On time, Molly had appeared at the home to take Haven with her back to the Burrow. Haven ran straight up to Molly and Ginny followed closely behind with her bag in tow.

"Haven is so excited to spend the night with you both. Thank you for taking her for the night" Ginny said as she hugged her mum and daughter goodbye.

"Of course dear. We will see you in the morning. Hold on tight to me Haven. We have lots of fun ready at the Burrow" Molly said.

Ginny and Draco waved goodbye as Molly apparated away with Haven.

Draco and Ginny walked back inside the house.

Draco pulled Ginny into his arms and said, "Tonight you and I are going on a date. I have a dress with shoes and accessories waiting for you in our room."

"Draco, you did not have to do that. Where are we going anyway?" Ginny asked eyeing Draco suspiciously.

Draco laughed and kissed Ginny gently.

"My dear, go get ready and I will be waiting for you" Draco said as he gently ushered her towards their room.

Ginny walked to their bedroom and upon opening the door she saw a beautiful dress laid on their bed. The dress was a beautiful green chiffon dress. It had a sweetheart bodice and was knee length. There were black high heels next to the dress and a diamond necklace with earrings in a case.

Ginny admired the outfit for a moment and knowing that Draco was waiting for her she then put the dress on.

The dress flattered her very well and then she slipped on the heels. She had done her hair up into an elegant bun and finished putting on the jewelry. Her makeup had already been done since the morning and it was simple enough that Ginny felt it was still fine.

She glanced one more time into the mirror before she headed out to meet Draco in their living room. Draco's back was turned to her as she walked up to him. Ginny tapped Draco on the shoulder and he slowly turned around.

His breath hitched in his throat as he saw Ginny. She was absolutely beautiful. Draco was at a loss for words before he finally spoke.

"My love, you look absolutely breathtaking. You are always beautiful and this dress just adds to your beauty" Draco said as he slowly raised Ginny's hand and kissed the back of her hand.

Ginny smiled and replied, "You are so kind Draco. You look handsome as always." Draco had changed while Ginny was chasing. He put on a green button down shirt and had the sleeves rolled up halfway. He had on black dress pants and black dress shoes.

Draco pulled Ginny close and kissed her lips gently.

"Ready to go my love?" Draco asked as he led them to the door.

"Of course. I am just happy to spend this time with you" Ginny said.

They walked outside and Draco then apparated them away.

They landed near this river. The moon was shining on the water and soft music was playing in the background. A table was set with roses in a vase and two chairs. There were lights floating around the table and Draco led Ginny to the table.

He pulled out her char for her and Ginny sat down. Draco then walked to the other chair and sat down. Just then a house elf from Malfoy Manor had appeared and had brought their meal with him.

"Tiny has brought Master Draco and Miss Ginny's food. I hope Tiny has done well" the house elf looked to Draco.

"Thank you Tiny. You have done very well. You may go" Draco said as he smiled at the house helf.

Tiny bowed and then disapparated on the spot. The meal looked was cooked lobster with asparagus on the side as well as garlic potatoes. Red wine had been poured into the two glasses.

Ginny was amazed at how the food looked and just how Draco had set everything up.

"I hope this is to your liking my dear. Please let's eat" Draco said as he picked up his knife and fork.

Ginny followed suite and they began to chat about everyday life. They laughed and talked while enjoying their meal together.

Once they both finished eating, everything had been magically cleaned up and the music began to play a little louder.

Draco stood and held his hand out to Ginny. She gladly accepted it and Draco had walked with her a few feet from the table to then begin dancing with her.

They began to slowly dance together and Ginny laid her head on Draco's chest. Draco had put his chin on top of her head and both of them had their eyes closed while they swayed to the music.

Draco and Ginny both were thoroughly enjoying the moment. Draco was beginning to feel a little nervous, but knew he wanted to ask her now.

Draco broke the silence and said, "Ginny, you know I love you deeply. Not only have you given me a beautiful daughter whom I love, you have given me your heart as well. You have become so important to me and I know in my past I have been awful to you. I want to spend everyday and every moment showing you how much I love and adore you…" Draco then let go of Ginny and slowly went down onto one knee. "…Ginny I love you so very much and I want you to become my wife. Will you marry me?" Draco revealed a solitaire diamond ring that glistened in the moonlight.

Ginny was taken aback for a moment, but finally she said, "Draco, I would love to marry you."

Draco smiled as he slipped the ring onto Ginny's finger. They both kissed passionately. After a few minutes Draco broke the kiss and said, "Should we take this back to our room?"

Ginny nodded and they apparated back to their home.

That night they spent much time making passionate love and showing each other just how much they loved each other.
