Chapter 23

Ginny and Harry sat down on the chairs on the porch. There was a few moments of silence as Harry was looking at his hands and Ginny was staring at him waiting for him to speak.

Suddenly, Harry looked up to Ginny and said, "Ginny, I need to apologize for how I have been. I have not been a good friend at all. I have to be honest. At first, I hated the idea of you and Draco being together. I wanted you to myself. But I now see how wrong I was. I see how happy Draco makes you. Ginny looked at Harry and said, "Harry, of course I forgive you. I cherish our friendship a lot as well. We have known each other for many years. I am very happy with Draco. I love him a lot. He is very good to me and is a great father to Haven. I want all of us to get along. Haven misses her Uncle Harry being around at family gatherings. We all miss having you there with us. I really hope you will be willing to come spend time with all of us. I miss you as a friend."

Harry nodded and looked at Ginny. Harry said, "I want to be at the family gatherings again. I know now that you and Draco are going to be together. I have accepted that. I just want to be your friend and not lose my friendships with all of you." Harry wiped a tear that had slid down his cheek.

"Harry, you are not going to lose us as friends. You have been in our lives for so long. We all have going through so much together. Heck, we all fought in a war together. We all love you like family Harry and that is never going to change. I am glad you came to talk today" Ginny said as she smiled at Harry.

Harry smiled back and the door opened to reveal Draco standing there with a smile on his face.

"Were you both able to talk things out?" Draco asked as Ginny stood to embrace him.

"Yes, we were able to keep our friendship and Harry said he will be coming to the family gatherings again. I know the family has missed him and especially Haven. She loves her Uncle Harry" Ginny said as Draco kissed her on the cheek.

"Draco, can I talk to you for a minute?" Harry asked looking between Draco and Ginny.

"Of course Harry" Draco replied.

Ginny went back inside the house and had closed the door.

Draco sat across from Harry and then Harry began to speak.

"Listen, I am sorry for how I have acted towards you. I was angry that Ginny chose you. I was angry that you both had a child together. When Ginny had Haven, she had told me who the father was. I was hoping you would never find out. To be honest, I wanted Ginny to myself and to raise Haven together. But, when you did meet Haven and found out she was yours, I knew it would not be possible. I began to see how much Ginny really did love you. I saw how good you are with Haven. I know now that my selfishness was blinding me to what Ginny really wanted. I know she wants you and I am sorry for how I have acted. I hope you can forgive me as well" Harry said.

Draco took a moment and then looked at Harry.

Draco said, "Harry, I forgive you. I know you and Ginny have always been close. That night at the celebration party I never thought Ginny and I would end up sleeping together. I do not regret it of course, but I had always thought it was you and her. When I did meet Haven a few years later, something inside me changed.I love Ginny and Haven. Ginny has made me so happy. I always wanted a family and being with Ginny and having Haven has made my life so wonderful. I am glad you and Ginny have talked things out. We want you to still be a part of our lives and I know your friendships means so much to us all."

"Thank you Draco. Thank you for letting me talk with Ginny and for talking with me as well. I hope to see you all very soon" Harry said.

Draco nodded and said, "Of course Harry."

Harry and Draco then stood and shook hands.

Harry then left and Draco returned back inside.

Ginny was on the couch when Draco came back inside. Ginny had checked in on Haven while Draco was outside with Harry. Haven was fast asleep in her bed all tucked in.

Draco sat down next to Ginny and Ginny snuggled into his side.

"How did your talk with Harry go?" Ginny asked.

"I think it went well. He was able to get things off his chest that he needed to. I am glad he came to talk to us tonight. I know you have been missing his friendship as well as your family misses him too" Draco said.

"I am glad you both got to talk as well. I am really glad to see no none came out scarred from the conversation" Ginny said while laughing.

Draco laughed and said, "I am glad it was a peaceful conversation as well. I know this has been a difficult time for you and your family. I hope now that things have been talked out that we can all be on good terms and make better memories moving forward."

Ginny looked up at Draco and pressed her lips to his.

Draco and Ginny both moved their lips expertly against one another's. Draco gently cupped Ginny's face and the two of them began to kiss with more passion.

"Ginny love, let's take this to our room" Draco said as he picked Ginny up and carried her to their room.
