Suri is dealing with Gemini's reappearance. Then she gets her first look into what an emotionally charged chamber meeting is like. So much fun for everyone all around.

It had been raining that day when Suri got home. Her mind was everywhere and back again as she walked through the cold downpour, not even caring that she didn't have an umbrella or that her and her clothes were getting soaked to the bone. She felt absolutely miserable and had hoped the rain would help her feel anything more than that.

It hadn't.

Tooru and Mina went on double duty that night trying to break both Suri and Izuku out of their heads. They pressed over and over again about what was bothering the two of them and got nothing in return. In fact, it stayed that dreary because both her and Izuku had insisted on going to bed alone. Suri saw the heartbreak in her girlfriends' eyes but she was so far gone and emotionally raw that she didn't change her mind. Instead she insisted that they went to bed together and at least have someone from their polycule to hold on to.

And it was like that for the next week.

School was a nightmare, work studies had her mind racing a million miles a minute, and she went home every night just feeling raw and defeated. One thing more than anything else was weighing on Suri's mind and the fear and anxiety that it was constantly pushing onto her was making her close down. It had gotten so bad that she had even started to grow distant to Atiena and that just upset the beast. Suri was forcing herself to not talk about her work studies or what was going on inside her head and in return it only served to help Izuku grow just as distant from everyone and everything around him.

Something was eating the two of them alive from the inside and Tooru and Mina were desperate to know what it was. It had gotten so bad that when Mina tried the game again, the one where every wrong answer meant a layer of clothing got put on, her and Tooru ended up in five layers and snow clothes a piece. They ended up roasting that night and almost had fevers the next day. To top it off, even asking Yumei yielded the same result, albeit she couldn't say anything due to the confidential nature of the job.

Not that the pinkette and invisible girl cared.

They just needed to know what was going on. And the only thing the snake girl was able to tell them was; it was bad. It was only when they were sitting in class some time that week that something happened to make them realize what it was. While everyone was celebrating the fact that Kirishima got a big news article about his debut as Red Riot came up on a bunch of different news outlets. They found out that the same had happened for Tsu and Ochako, with their public debuts as Froppy and Uravity hitting the news just as much. And then…

"Whoah," Kaminari said, his face going from excitement to concern as he read the next headline. "That case about the massacre at that apartment building still doesn't have any leads? Damn, that's crazy."

The mention of it made Suri flinch and more than a few of her classmates noticed.

"The investigation is being headed by Kodiak and DreamWeaver of the," Kaminari paused again and then turned to Suri. "Yo, Kuroyashi, isn't this where you're doing your work studies? The Outsiders Agency?"

Before she could answer the question, the door slid open and standing there in the doorway was Ketsuiki. He was holding his hero costume briefcase in one hand and held a solemn look on his face. Behind him was Mr. Aizawa who met eyes with Suri and nodded as her upperclassmen called for her.

"Kuroyashi, grab your stuff. We just got a call so we're excused for the rest of the day."

"Right," Suri answered quietly and quickly got up to grab her things.

She went to the far wall to grab her suitcase, briefly brushing and squeezing Izuku's shoulder and mouthing an I love you to Tooru and Mina who were standing on the other side of his desk. It was the body language, the demeanor that clearly wasn't Suri, the reaction to the headline, and then the third year's sudden appearance that all added up to one realization. Everyone watched Suri leave and then they turned back to Kaminari. He looked up like he'd done something wrong but the looks he got back assured him he hadn't. Now they all knew why Suri hadn't been acting like Suri at all. She had been investigating that massacre and upon further reading they'd discovered that Wild Eyes' name had also made her debut. As the one who discovered the scene.

The walk out of the school and the following train ride to the agency was all but silent. And no words were said once they got off the train, made their way into the office, got changed into their costumes, and then regrouped in the Zeta Squad office. Yumei and DreamWeaver were already there collecting papers and sending different files to print, greeted the two heroes and then led them to the top floor. The Alpha Suite had two rooms; one large office that Kodiak, Hellfire, DreamWeaver, and Libra shared, and a conference room that was large enough to seat everyone the agency employed and then some. DreamWeaver motioned for their team to enter the conference room while the spider woman went to the Alpha Squad office apparently to pick up the papers that Yumei had sent to print.

When they went inside the conference room, the three teens were met with a combination of curious stares, and quite definite incredulous or even offended glares. Of the dozen or more people already in the room, only four met them with kind eyes. Grandma Kuroyashi, dressed in her Lady Whiplash suit with Ryo standing guard behind her, was seated next to Rukia Kurogami and her husband, Tiago Vaz, and the four of them looked happy to see Suri. The same was not said for Tiago and Rukia's daughter, Yukari who was suited up as her pro hero persona, Lotigre. It made Suri purse her lips as the two of them locked eyes because she'd hoped their beef was over with and that maybe their fight at the provisional exams had been the last of it.

Apparently it wasn't.

Then there were the other individuals in the room and it didn't take much to sense the flow of power all of them had. Every one of them was one form of fae or another. The one that stuck out the most was a woman that was dressed down in an elegant, black kimono that had one sleeve covered in various lavender, pastel blue, and pastel yellow colored flowers. The band around her midsection was pink with outlines of flowers across it in gold foil which made her look all the more expensively dressed compared to the others in either hero costumes or high dollar tailored business suits. More than just the outfit that made her stick out was the fact that Suri could feel power rolling off of her that felt lycanthropic but wasn't mixed with a power that felt familiar but wasn't at the same time. It made her cautious of the woman who looked at her with eyes that were so soft of a blue that they were almost white and was clearly measuring Suri up.

Zeta Squad took their seats at the massive conference table across from Rukia, Vaz, and Yukari, with Suri making quick and quiet greetings to all three of them. Yukari humphed at the greeting and Suri rolled her eyes at the gesture before turning to her grandmother and Ryo and giving them warm, happy smiles. Once the three had taken their seats - Yumei had to move a chair out of the way so that she could coil herself into place - the door opened again and Alpha Squad made their entrance and took the four chairs at the head of the table. DreamWeaver and Libra began passing out a pile of large folders to which everyone took one of each and opened them up to find a series of case files and photos. The first five files were mugshots and criminal records of three men and two women and Suri furrowed her brow in confusion as she looked them over. It was only a moment before she realized and understood who she was looking at and why she hadn't recognized them.

Because she had only seen what had been left of them.

The five of them didn't stand out individually, none of them had spectacular or extraordinary Quirks and abilities. No, they were five run of the mill petty criminals that were together in that apartment for some reason or another. Which had begged the question; why had the dryad girl been there with them? And what was the reason for Gemini to show up and rip them to pieces?

"Takahito Nakamura, Junpei Abe, Ai Takeyama, Sayaka Otoshimi, and Ken Kazeyama," Libra started off, listing each of the individuals. "Petty theft, trespassing, public disturbance, nothing that would make them out to be more than a band of hoodlums. They're childhoods were relatively normal other than falling in with the wrong friends and making these mistakes that ultimately started disrupting their futures. Futures however, that should not have led to the fate they succumbed to at the hands of Viktoriya Scabbia otherwise known as Gemini."

Suri sifted through the files and a chill ran down her spine as she found a mugshot of the woman in question. She was a lot younger in the photo, holding the placard in front of her, but it was still Gemini. She forced herself to take a deep breath and calm herself before quickly moving past the file and into the crime scene photos. Another shiver ran through her as she looked over the photos of the carnage. Then came the eyewitness reports that described the woman as skipping through the lobby like a giddy giggling schoolgirl, splashing blood and entrails like she was playing in the rain. It explained why so many people had been drenched in blood but otherwise unharmed.

"Before, Gemini was making her way through Japan on a murder spree," Kodiak spoke next. "It was discovered that each of her victims were powerful lycanthropes. This detail was discovered by Detective Tsukauchi of the Musutafu Police Department who we've all worked with on several occasions."

"Some of us more than others, isn't that right, Wild Eyes?" Hellfire added with a pointed smirk.

The sudden name drop made Suri jump with surprise and she had to hurry and collect herself to answer. Though she was fairly sure everyone was now suspicious of her for various reasons.

"I've met him a couple times, yes," Suri answered honestly. "He was lead detective when the League of Villains attacked the USJ so we were all briefed by him once me and one of my classmates were out of Recovery Girl's office. And I talked to him another time after me and my classmates had a run in with Tomura Shigaraki at the Kiyashi Ward Shopping Mall. I... had accidentally seen the case files regarding the investigation when I was being released. But it wasn't until meeting Gemini for the first time and talking to Detective Kusabara that she and the case might have been related in some way."

"Seems careless for the detective," Libra scoffed and pursed his lips in annoyance.

"He had the files out for me," Grandma Kuroyashi answered. "I was intending on meeting with him that day even before I was on my way to pick up my granddaughter here from the station. The detective is one of my pard and reached out to me in concern not only as a pro hero but as his Hyo-Ra."

"Speaking of your pard," the woman in the kimono asked in a condescending tone. "I find it quite intriguing that your leopards are the only ones who haven't had any casualties. Are we sure you and the mutt haven't had ties to Gemini?"

Suri's eyes went wide and her attention fell on the woman entirely. She wanted so badly to be angry and furious at the statement but was so floored and taken aback that she was left speechless. The word itself had affected Yukari across from her and the other hybrid girl shrunk into her seat. Suri, however, wasn't the only one caught off guard by the comment. Even Libra, who had made it well known he was not a fan of Suri, was appalled by brashness.

"Lady Oda, that is-"

Kodiak began speaking, his tone filled with bitterness and careful anger before he abruptly stopped. His eyes flickered from beast back to human when Grandma Kuroyashi raised her hand to stop him. She never turned to the woman or met her eyes and instead of the sweet old woman Suri had come to know she remained stoic and even.

"Does your master know you speak to his allies this way when he sleeps as the dead, Lady Oda? Might I remind you that, you are in the presence of not only your master's allies but his friends. Master Yasuke does not take his bonds of friendship and trust lightly, you know this, do you not?"

Lady Oda sighed and rolled her eyes indignantly.

"I am his head and tongue when he sleeps for the day. Do not invoke his name on such a whim," she hissed vindictively.

"I do not invoke him on a whim, Kyu," the leopard queen glowered. Then her words went from spiteful but even to absolutely enraged. "Because as the head of his kiss during the day hours, you should know damn well that my pard has not been spared by that hyena bitch."

That revelation made Suri's eyes widen and lock on her grandmother and the loyal guard behind her. She noticed Ryo's expression falter, though he tried to be just as stoic and professional as their pard matriarch had tried to be.

"Grandma," Suri quietly murmured, catching the old woman's attention. "Who did we lose?"

Grandma Kuroyashi cleared her throat and waved the question off. She turned back towards the four heroes at the front of the room but Suri's eyes never left her. With her outburst and sudden change in her usual demeanor meant it was someone close and it had been bad. Suri wanted, no, had to know and was about to ask again when she felt a touch on her shoulder. Her head traced to where she was being touched and found Rook's hand and his solemn expression before he shook his head softly. Suri took a deep breath and relented to her team leader, settling back into her seat uncomfortably and turning her attention back to the meeting.

"I'm afraid Lady Whiplash is correct," Vaz spoke up next. "Between the three of us, we come bearing responsibility for every clan in Japan as a whole. There's a lot of unrest going on and Rukia and I have had to take on the task of becoming leaders to more than just our pack and pard in Shinjuku. Furthermore, we've had to go public with all of Ketsubutsu Academy, Shiketsu High School, and more to prepare them for the influx of preternatural students they might have to take on."

"I thought your original course of action was going to be pulling the young ones from hero courses like others have started doing," a man next to Suri asked. It was the first time she'd noticed him and didn't know how she'd been able to ignore the incredibly expensive white tailored suit and him with his long, gorgeous blonde hair, incredible ruby red eyes, and perfectly delicate features. How had she been able to ignore a fucking high elf? "Do the other clans agree with this course of action you're taking?"

"It was," Rukia answered and sighed. "We were following suit with a lot of other clan leaders at their behest but then we had a change of heart. When our daughter, Lotigre, came home with her provisional license she told us about something Wild Eyes here had said."

All attention turned on Suri then and she gulped and sunk into her seat, feeling even more uncomfortable than she'd already been.

"Oh, and what was this?" Kodiak asked, giving Suri a wry, all knowing smirk that clearly said of course she did. It hadn't surprised him at all. Suri found the same looks on Hellfire and DreamWeaver's faces as well.

"A war is coming," Yukari answered, leaning forward so that everyone could see her. "Something that's going to affect all of us, not just humans, but us non humans too."

"Oh? And where did she get this idea," Libra asked, his gaze unhappy and clearly annoyed that his newest recruit was more of a problem child than he'd guessed or been led to believe.

"Pro Hero Eraserhead, sir," Suri answered.

"Of course Eraser said something like that," Libra scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"The only reason he hasn't put his foot down and pulled all of us first years from... basically everything... is that he believes we need to be ready. If he's right? The preternatural community can't afford to sit on the sidelines because whatever happens to my human friends affects me too. If something is coming that can hurt humans, it will hurt us too," Suri explained. "Right?"

"Wild Eyes has a point," Hellfire nodded. "Us greater beings rely on humans for quite a bit of our power and magic. The power of gods and devils relies on human's belief in them. Their numbers get shaved off, our magic goes kaput."

"You're saying your power relies on us?" Libra turned a confused and bewildered gaze to his teammate.

"You remember my granddaddy is Leviathan right?" he asked, smirking slightly.

"Yes."

"You know he's one of the seven princes of hell, yeah?"

"Yes. You've told me that before."

"And you know each prince represents each of the sins of man, right?"

"I… I guess that makes sense. Yes."

"So you know which of the seven sins me and my family get our power from, yeah?"

"No… actually, I don't," Libra admitted, looking both confused and ashamed at himself.

"Envy," Yumei answered, making everyone's eyes fall on her.

In response she blushed and sunk back into her coiled form, trying to shrink out of sight from everyone's gaze. Libra looked at her with angered eyes, which still made Suri question why he had such a problem with her and the snake girl. Though she could swear that he'd looked at everyone in Zeta Squad that way. In complete contrast, Kodiak, DreamWeaver, and some of the representatives at the table gave her looks that said they were happy with her answer, even proud of her. Hellfire gave her the biggest grin of all, snapped his finger and pointed towards the snake girl with a soft chuckle of delight.

"Atta girl," he drawled with that honey sweet voice of his. His eyes turned back to Libra then. "And that right there, my friend, is why we rely on humans. If gods rely on the belief in them from others, especially humans, us devils rely on the sins of man and the belief that you'll get punished for them. My magic relies on people being envious of others. Whether it's being jealous of someone else's Quirk, their wealth, their looks, being able to answer a question..."

"Boys," DreamWeaver warned. "If we can, please get back on topic."

When everyone settled and attention was restored back onto the spider woman she held papers from her case folder and began comfortably pacing with her lower set of arms resting comfortably behind her back. Her track of motion took her back and forth around the group inside the conference room, going between reading and discussing what had been found on the case with everyone.

"Originally we suspected that these were two separate incidents," DreamWeaver explained. "The killing spree had originally been thought to have been the work of Himiko Toga because of some of the visceral similarities to the murders. It's been correlated that the more gruesome of the murders have been now confirmed as done by Vyktoria Scabbia attributed to the species and combat prowess of the victims. She has been purposefully seeking out powerful wereanimals as a means of training her power and proving herself. Normally, this challenge would take place at a Lupanar as you all know but the challenges to death have been outlawed for some time now. She is breaking wereanimal law and tradition on both of those fronts. Normally we'd seek out her clan leader to take lead on containment and punishment..."

"But she killed her mom and took the title of Oba for herself," Suri spoke, finishing her superior's sentence. She pursed her lips and looked down the second she realized she'd unintentionally cut off the spider woman.

"This isn't unsimilar to some of the lycanthrope young ones, yes?" the high elf seated beside Suri asked. "At this table we have two examples of similar actions do we not? I've been curious as to why your clans hadn't taken more issue to their claims of power. I'm not saying either of you are embarking on a killing spree any time soon but I am genuinely curious as to why you two have done what you have."

His question was pointed directly at Suri and Yukari who he looked back and forth between as he spoke. It made both of them uncomfortable or even pissed to be likened to the hyena woman that had left a trail of blood and an apartment with five dismembered people in her wake.

"For both of us," Yukari started, her voice more reserved and pulled back than her normal demeanor. "To become better and stronger heroes we had to set out to amass our power in our own right. We weren't content in the power we'd gain being under our parents forever."

"I can't speak for Lotigre but I know for myself, back in the states, that there was a lot of my dad's pack that didn't want me around because I was, as she so beautifully put it, a mutt. I was, impure, an abomination, and they all knew I'd fuck up some day," Suri's eyes stayed locked on the woman next to her grandmother as she spoke. She made sure that she'd hear the venom in her voice as she recalled the discrimination. "I fought harder than most of the wolves because I wanted to prove that I wasn't just there because my daddy was their Ulfric. And I did. But even then it wasn't enough for everyone to listen to me when I brought threats against our Ulfric, acting Ulfric, Lupras, and the ruling family to attention."

Suri broke her eye contact with the woman and turned her attention back to everyone who was sitting at the table in general.

"After the incident with Hyrum Black, and moving here, I got into UA. Imagine my surprise when a group of strangers elected me to be their class representative," Suri half chuckled and shook her head. "My best friend at the time learned about the clan hierarchy and opted for calling me a queen instead of being a princess. And the title was cute at the time so I took it in good fun. It was first at the USJ and then again on the mountain a month ago that I really took the title of queen, Lupra as I like to call it, seriously."

"Lupra, huh?" Rukia asked with an amused smirk.

"I'm wolf and leopard. Both a Lupa and a Hyo-Ra. Again, I have to thank my now mate for helping me with the name," Suri shrugged with a fanged grin.

"Is that title exclusive to you," Yukari asked with a smirk of her own.

"I wouldn't say it is," Suri shrugged again. "I had considered it as my hero name for a second before I chose my current persona instead."

"For me," Yukari grinned, now knowing she could call herself a Lupra as well. "It was a way for me to distance myself from my family. I already had lofty expectations on me given who my mom is so I wanted to live up to them by starting younger than she did. I'm already well off enough that I'm ahead of most of my peers. I'm a first year student but most of my classes are with the second years at Ketsubetsu with the recommendation of Ms. Joke. I became a little queen, as most of you have called it, simply because I'm out to prove that I can be as powerful and worthy as my mother and father are on my own. I'm Lupra," Yukari grinned, a pleasant shiver running through her body at the mention of the word, "because I am that damn good."

"Remind me that I want to see her and Bakugou in the same room," Atiena whispered into her and Suri's shared mind and then began chuckling softly to herself. "Twenty bucks says they'll end up either kicking the shit out of each other or making out."

"Twenty on them punching each other," Suri smirked outwardly but whispered internally to her beast who nodded at their wager.

"And to be frank, comparing me to the psycho is incredibly offensive," Yukari said, her expression souring as she turned her gaze to the elven man.

"Agreed," Suri added, her expression taking a dive as well. She held up her arms, showing off the scars covering them and turned her eyes on the man next to her. "I went as far as to sacrifice part of my humanity and soul when I fought her. She killed me. It took that sacrifice and a shit ton of magic just to come back and keep her at bay to protect my friends on that mountain. I'm not gonna sit here and deny that I've taken a life - because I've run from that enough. But everyone here knows damn well by now that it was to save my brother's life, not because I'm a power hungry maniac with a penchant for bloodlust."

"Fair enough," the man answered, holding his hands up defensively. "My apologies for making it seem that I was comparing the two of you to her. It was careless of me and I was simply wanting to know the reason behind setting out as little queens."

"I for one am pleased with the decision of many young ones to set out on their own," Kodiak said in a tone that was satisfied but also showed signs of exhaustion. "My hope is that they remain our allies and do not go the way of Gemini. It would help relieve some of the added weight many of our established clans have had to endure as a result of her actions."

"Can we trust these little queens and little kings though?" Libra scoffed, making it apparent this case was making him more aggressive and hostile than usual. "How can we ensure a bunch of kids don't go down that same path? And will they be enough to protect the others?"

"I'm sorry," Suri closed her eyes and shook her head, putting up her hands in a motion that clearly said she was lost and didn't know what was going on. "Libra, sir, are we missing something here?"

Suri filed through the folder thinking there were more files that she hadn't seen beyond the crime scene photos of the apartment. Aside from the apartment photos were older crime scene photos, one or two of which she'd accidentally seen before on Tsukauchi's desk. Other than those, there was nothing else.

"Nagamaki!" He shouted angrily, making the snake girl flinch and cower from his voice. "Why the hell haven't you kept your team up to date?!"

Suri watched Yumei lower herself, trying to hide from view and watched as Rook's usually neutral face had darkened into anger. Both her and Rook let their anger boil to the surface and show on their faces when they turned to Libra at the front of the room. And they weren't the only ones that had less than friendly gazes pointed towards the gravity user. Both Kodiak and Hellfire's knuckles had become white with the strain of balling their hands into fists. He was about to yell something more when DreamWeaver pushed herself in front of him and glared straight into his eyes.

"She is still a manager in training, Masato," she sneered. The use of his first name, in as much venom her voice held, meant she was a second away from beating him bloody herself. "You know that there are cases that are more confidential and sensitive that we don't disclose to first time managers. Especially their first week on the job."

"Then why the fuck are they here then, Jomoguro?" He spat back with just as much venom.

"You two wanna calm it down a bit?" Hellfire said, trying to put on a pleasant cajun tone to try and make the two other heroes back down from each other. "Just take it e-"

"Because I told her not to," DreamWeaver screamed, pushing a finger into her teammate's chest especially hard and began backing him up with every word she spoke. "Because I took responsibility to relay that information to the others. I kept it quiet, not her. They're here because Wild Eyes is the only one who's gone up against Gemini and survived. They're here because Rook and Wild Eyes were the first on scene, got Kusano to safety, and Nagamaki did great crowd control until Kodiak and I got there. Nagamaki has been one of the best young recruits we've had in years. She's done everything we've asked her and she's put in every amount of effort she has to offer. But you've belittled her at every turn. You've always hated having a rookie group like Zeta Squad and hated the opportunities we've given to the kids but it's gotten worse. Especially over the last few weeks."

While DreamWeaver was yelling at Libra, Rook reached for both his teammates giving both girls a comforting squeeze on their shoulders. He was upset at the yelling match but he was especially upset at the fact that Yumei had flinched when she felt his touch. He took care to look into her eyes to give her reassurance before turning to Suri and doing the same. He took a deep breath and then quietly stood up and mouthed a let's go to the two of them.

"If it's what Libra wishes then we will leave," he said evenly with a hint of shame and remorse.

Rook was completely ignored.

"Oh, I'm sorry Jomo," Libra bit back angrily. "Unlike you lot, I don't take pity on the strays. How do you know they won't become villains? Or did you forget your pet snake was part of the League? And we all know you only gave the other two a job because you were fucking their parents or hoping to. How do you know your pet squad won't traffic kids just like you were-"

The three teens froze at the door and felt the pits of their stomach drop simultaneously. It wasn't just because of what Libra said, because that by itself was infuriating. The insinuations made about all three of them hurt and they each felt a sharp pain in their gut as the pro hero laid out his feelings about them in the open. It didn't even matter that it was in front of pro heroes and community leaders, which was incredibly unprofessional, it was all just pure, raw emotion. At least now they all knew why Libra had intentionally been holding them back or seemingly didn't want them around in the first place.

Aside from the words themselves they heard a loud meaty smack fill the room, accompanied by a crunching sound. And then the sound of a lot of weight hitting the floor of the conference room. When the three teens turned around they saw DreamWeaver panting as tears rolled from the corners of all four of her eyes and her body shaking with emotion. Libra was crumpled onto the floor, his nose was bleeding, and he was out cold. Apparently the spider woman had had enough and punched him hard enough to break his nose and knock him unconscious.

Kodiak sighed and rubbed his brow while Hellfire took hold of DreamWeaver's shoulders and helped her ease down. He pursed his lips and shook his head, looking down at his teammate while he massaged the woman's shoulders. He leaned in and whispered something in her ear, something she nodded at before he relented and bent down to pick up Libra. He carried him towards the door, his eyes clearly apologizing to the teens before he cocked his head to motion them back into their seats. Once the two of them left, DreamWeaver apologized for her actions and Kodiak took the time to apologize for the display as well.

"I should also apologize to the three of you," DreamWeaver stated sadly. "What you heard was… uncalled for on so many levels. If you wish to terminate your employment, I… I completely understand that decision."

"No," Yumei said sternly, shaking her head vigorously before looking at the spider woman and bear man with determined eyes. "I've been called much worse and I've been treated much worse. It was the need to belong that led me to the League in the first place but you, Kodiak, and Hellfire, you've made this a home for me. I'm staying and maybe… just maybe… Libra will respect me someday."

"Ma'am, if I may," Rook spoke next. "While I didn't know of your relationship towards my family, I do know that I'm not here out of a favor. I can say that, like Nagamaki, you've been nothing but supportive of me and I am grateful for the opportunity you've given me. If it wouldn't be too much trouble, I insist that I stay and continue as the team leader for Zeta Squad."

"I'm in the same boat as them," Suri added next. "I'm not going anywhere. I've been called a hell of a lot worse and I know the feeling of only being accepted cause my moms or dad were fucking someone. Besides I'm not gonna be casting stones on anyone's sex life. So you don't gotta worry about me, I'll still be clocking in if you'll have me. But," Suri furrowed her brow and looked sternly at the two pro heroes. "We need to be in the loop here. What was Libra talking about? What else is going on with Gemini and what does Kusano have to do with it?"

DreamWeaver and all of the other adults looked at the teens, then to each other, and then back to the four teens at the end of the group. Kodiak sighed again which drew the spider woman's gaze and he gave her a nod of approval. The look she gave them back was not enthusiastic in the least, which meant they needed to get ready. Whatever she was about to say was about to be really bad.

"The young dryad girl the three of you rescued, Kusano. She is partially the cause of what happened last week at the scene you found. Gemini slaughtered those five people because she was missing from the packages she arrived to collect. Packages," the woman sighed with a shaky breath, "that contain young children."

It clicked in Suri's mind at that moment and what Libra had meant by traffic.

"She slaughtered them because Kusano hid so she wouldn't be taken and they couldn't find her. She's told us that the apartment had half a dozen other children of various preternatural species and that Gemini frequently came to escort them to whoever she's working with. Moreover, she's purposely been trafficking young wereanimals from the groups that she's either killed the leader or high ranking members of. We have reason to believe that she's been using trafficking to target powerful wereanimals for her own entertainment and bloodlust. We've had reports of an increase of missing children here in Masutafu all seemingly getting closer to one location. It's reason to believe that she's doing this as an act to target a group or someone in particular."

"What do you mean, someone in particular?" Suri asked in disbelief. "Who is she going after?"

"You, little one," Kodiak stated quietly. "We think she's coming… for you."
