The girls go on a date to break the ice.
The festival had been a rousing success and Suri was still riding high from the night before as she posed in front of her floor length mirror. Her smile only grew wider as she looked at the trophies sitting on her dresser next to her plants. One, of course, was bigger than the other but she didn't care. She was high on the fact that she'd placed in both contests she'd been entered into. That may have been her competitive streak talking because, while she was extremely happy with winning the singing competition - hence the bigger of the two trophies - she was not happy with a third place trophy in the beauty pageant.
Apparently, she'd been too flashy.
That had been Nejire's problem the two years prior which caused both of her losses to Kenranzaki and losing to her was the only reason Kenranzaki had become considered a beauty pageant prize queen. Because between the two of them, Nejire was leaps and bounds more attractive and had a much better personality. Suri was happy for her that she'd gotten the win before having to leave UA. Nejire deserved it.
As for the day, Suri was having a girl's night out. It was perfect because Izuku and Pazuzu were having a guys day where they'd spent all morning at a comic shop, had lunch, and then had been at Pazuzu's the entire afternoon playing video games. The more Suri thought about it, the more she realized the two of them were doing the same thing she was; going on a date.
A date with just her and the girls.
And as such, she'd been finishing up the last touches of her makeup before heading out the door and down to the train station in front of UA. Did she need makeup? No. She had just felt the urge to spice up her looks with a little midnight purple eyeshadow and lashes. She'd resisted the chartreuse colored extensions, deciding not to go overboard with her hair, and simply spent an hour or so braiding her locks. It made her realize how long her hair had gotten and wanted to spend the next week deciding if she was going to cut it or grow her hair out. She'd also decided to not go overboard with wearing the black and gold evening dress from last night. One, that would have been gloating, not that she really cared, but two, a pair of grey jean capris and a violet halter top were just more comfy. The look was completed with a black and white letterman jacket she'd found hidden away in her closet. It not only looked good on her - self determined, of course - but it would also keep Iida quiet about the halter top.
Suri figured Iida would have been used to the lack of modesty of her and Taiga by now, but alas, it was not to be. Even with how much Taiga strutted around the Class 1-A and I-3 dormitory buildings stark naked.
That thought was just one of the things that made Suri grin then. Because if the thought of her class' vice president chasing his girlfriend down with pillows to cover her up wasn't enough; her pack's third in command looking particularly nervous was. Suri watched the girl fidgeting and pacing back and forth on the platform before abruptly stopping and lifting her head as her nose flared several times. Her own chartreuse eyes went wide before she quickly turned to face Suri and bowed in greeting.
"My queen," the leopard girl said in a gracious but nervous tone.
"Girl, if you don't knock that off," Suri snickered before pulling her into a hug. "No queens, highnesses, senpais, or any of that shit. I'm just Suri tonight, Aiko. Alright?"
"Right," she sighed and hung her head in defeated exhaustion as she followed Suri who kept her arm over her shoulder. She fought off the slight blush across her cheeks as she sat down next to Suri and fought the inner urge to lean into the wolpard's touch. Instead she focused on her woes. "You're really sure about this?"
"Yup."
"I'm not stepping on any toes?"
"Nope."
"Are you sure?"
"Yup.
"Positive?"
"Only fools are positive."
"..."
"..."
"Well, hell, you really are like her, aren't you," Aiko finally snickered and let out a long sigh before laying her head back. She ignored the heat in her cheeks as she rested her head on Suri's arm and closed her eyes instead. "My grandpa said you were just as reckless as Granny Kuroyashi and your mom."
"Glad my reputation precedes me then," Suri smirked. "And now here you are running off with me for a big ol' lesbian orgy just like your granddad warned you against."
"W-What?!" Aiko sputtered and flailed as she turned in her seat, looking at Suri with shocked, nearly horrified eyes. "That's not-"
The leopard girl stopped mid sentence as she watched Suri go from snickering to full on laughing hysterically. She was almost doubled over in her seat, clutching her stomach tightly as she let out her full, hearty, and warm laughter before she was able to calm down a moment or two later. The pout on Aiko's face and the particularly hard flick of her finger against Suri's forehead helped to quell her laughter.
"Ha. Ha. Very funny, Kur-"
"Suri."
"Grr! Fine. Suri," Aiko groaned, her cheeks puffed in frustration.
"I know, I know," Suri chuckled as she watched the girl next to her. "You're queen's an ass. Not quite what you were ever expecting, right?"
That made the girl pause and turn to look forward. It was a long moment while she reflected on the question at hand which gave Suri a long moment to admire the girl. It made her realize that she didn't have a title for her, which she needed. Because Aiko was deserving of her own title.
If Pazuzu was Suri's right hand in the pack, Aiko Nishijima was her left; her third in command as far as the ranks went. She had power that rivaled that of Mutekabe and was almost as powerful as Pazuzu. She had at least two forms, great senses, and was always trying to help the other members of the group. She had a lot of potential as a wereleopard and Suri hoped that she could help Aiko become more powerful than she'd dreamed for herself. To top off the power and energy she had, she was naturally pretty to boot. Especially now, which made Suri realize the girl had put on a little makeup herself and had done her hair. Aiko had always worn her long indigo colored hair up in a tight ponytail but tonight it was down and had been straightened. It made Suri realize just how glossy her hair was in the way that it shimmered even in the dull lights of the train and the evening sun. The touch of dark eyeliner and eyeshadow she was wearing helped to make her golden green eyes pop even more than normal. It was in that moment that Suri was really looking into her eyes that she realized Aiko's pupils were thinner than normal, like that of a cat.
"No you're not what I expected per say, but I can't say it's a bad thing," Aiko admitted after a long while. "I've been used to your grandma for all my life and how she runs the pard. You though? It's been a bit of a culture shock I guess."
"I mean, that was my fear at the start of the year," Suri shrugged. "Kinda shocked me that I was voted class president when my personality is so not Japanese enough for it. Like, it was wild that they let a whole ass foreigner have control."
"I haven't made you feel like you don't belong, right?" Aiko stated quietly, frozen in her seat in fear that she might have made Suri feel less than at any time.
"No," Suri chuckled. "I mean, I'm surprised it took me as long as it did to meet you and the others. But at the same time, those few months in the pard, I'm not exactly surprised we didn't cross paths. Not many of the leopards are fans of me."
"I was," Asiko squeaked. She then realized what she blurted out and turned away to hide her face away from Suri. "I mean…"
"So why challenge me at that first Lupanar before I oathed all of you to me?" Suri asked with a curious smile on her lips as she watched Aiko.
"I wanted you to notice me?" the leopard girl responded, not even close to convinced with her own response.
"That… was such a shit answer, hun," Suri snickered.
"Well, it's the truth, dammit."
"Ooo, look at you go. We'll get the mouth of a sailor on you soon," Suri teased and began laughing again, nudging her in the shoulder.
"Seriously!" Aiko defended herself again, nudging Suri back. "I would have done it sooner... maybe… I could have at the lagoon but I… it didn't seem right because of some of the others."
"Cause you didn't want to punch your I fucked the princess card?" Suri grinned.
"I-I.. well… yeah," Aiko sighed in defeat.
"Well guess what? I did notice you. I owe you for getting Tooru back to her room safe that night I was away fighting Gemini. That meant the world to me and trust me, I haven't been exactly oblivious to you and Mai eyeing me and my mates up," Suri's grin grew wider as Aiko blushed hard. "Why do you think I asked you out?"
"I still don't want to step on any toes," Aiko groaned as Suri all but called her out and she had no use in hiding her feelings or desires.
"Only toes you'll be stepping on are the ones you'll be tripping over if you don't hurry," Suri teased, standing up as the doors to the train opened and she moved to head for said door.
"Shit!"
Aiko had to jump through the doors after Suri as they began to close behind the wolpard. Once she caught up, she grumbled and cursed under her breath to Suri's delight. The beast girl happily began strolling ahead of her while Aiko caught up and gave her a pouted face of disapproval for almost being left behind. Aiko was also cursing her choice in shoes because if she'd anticipated having to run and jump, she wouldn't have worn heels. That said she wasn't unaware that Suri had liked the outfit she was wearing. The grey leggings did nothing to hide her long toned legs and, instead, they hugged and highlighted her plentiful thighs and perky behind. For her top, she was wearing a teal colored tank top that was almost three sizes too big so it acted like a short dress. To add to the dress effect, she was wearing black leather belt around her waist, cinching the top to her hips. The glances Suri was giving Aiko made her less self conscious and more hopeful because Suri hadn't been the only one in mind when she had picked the outfit.
In fact, Aiko felt heat rush to her cheeks and she began fidgeting nervously as she watched Tooru leap into Suri's arms just then. The lump that formed in her throat as she watched the invisible girl and beast girl kiss was almost painful to swallow as her mind raced with the sight. Then she was pulled out of her own head abruptly as she felt her weight shift and the sensation of being pulled into a very welcoming warmth.
"Hey, girl! It's about time you two showed up," Mina laughed, hugging Aiko into her as she watched her girlfriends finish their hellos.
"Oh please," Suri chuckled and moved to hug herself and Tooru into Mina and Aiko. "We're right on time and you know it."
It wasn't lost on any of the girls that Aiko was stiff as a board and nervous as hell as she got sandwiched into the three of them. And then came the presence of three more people who were more than happy to smoosh themselves into the pile around the leopard girl. She shivered and felt her cheeks begin to burn because her senses were immediately flooded with the scent of cherries and candy as Tooru pressed herself tight against Aiko's front.
"Glad you could make it," Tooru whispered into Aiko's ear, giggling as everyone pulled away and everyone got to see everyone else in the group.
"You though, sweetie," Ryuko hummed as she narrowed her eyes and smirked at Aiko. "You're late. You and Mai were supposed to come together, remember?"
"O-Oh! Umm… I umm," Aiko stuttered nervously.
Mai humphed, making a noise that turned everyone's attention to the mute girl. With her own pouty and somewhat stoic expression she motioned back and forth between Suri and Aiko then made two V shapes with her index and middle fingers. Aiko yelped and smacked the werewolf girl's hands when she put her fingers together in a suggestive manner. Everyone else in the group began laughing, not only at Mai's gesture but at Aiko's reaction to it.
"Everyone ready? We should, like, get going so we can beat the dinner rush," Yumei said once she'd come down from laughing.
"Yes please! I'm starving," Mina cheered as she unceremoniously grabbed Ryuko and Mai by the hands and started dragging them through the mall's plaza.
"Same, babe," Suri said next, hooking her arm through Yumei's as she began walking with the snake girl. It wasn't lost on anyone that her white and pink scales darkened when Suri took hold of her but was more than happy to slither alongside one of her best friends and crushes.
"What about you, cutie? How hungry are you?" Tooru chirped happily as took one of Aiko's hands in both of hers and began walking backwards as she tugged her forward.
It took a long moment for Aiko to formulate words because her eyes were wide as she was more than happy to be dragged along by the girl in front of her. She stumbled the first couple steps, accentuated by her black heels, before relearning how to walk. The stumbling turned to happiness as she began striding to catch up with the rest of the girls and walking hand in hand with one of the girls she was crushing on the most. The feel of Tooru's hand in hers, the presence of her beside her, and watching the group of girls she admired in front of her made Aiko grin from ear to ear, happily bearing fangs before she finally thought of something to say. It became apparent to her that she was hungry for more than just food.
"Famished," she replied as the two of them raced to catch up to the group and made their way to their dinner date.
The restaurant they'd chosen was a teppanyaki house so, before they were even near the building, Suri, Yumei, Aiko, and Mai were drooling profusely from the incredible smell. All of them were giddy with excitement once they were seated and then dazzled by the show that was put on for them. It was always a wonder to watch the flames burst from the cooking surface when the oils and sauces hit the heat, even more so watching the dance-like movements and performance of the chef cooking the food in front of them.
He was more than happy to do tricks with the knives, tongs, and spatula he was using to make the food for the girls and they cheered him on. Then they all screamed in delight as they each got a sample of grilled vegetables or small cuts of meat tossed into their mouths from across the table. It took great effort on all of their parts not to end up with something down their shirts in their cleavage or getting smacked in the face by food. Tooru ended up having the hardest time, not that anyone blamed the chef, as a grilled onion coated in teriyaki sauce plopped onto her eye as she tried to catch the airborne food. All of the girls laughed and giggled as the chef began to apologize profusely while Tooru ate the wayward vegetable and assured him that he didn't need to apologize. Instead, he got a show of his own because everyone got to watch as Mai came to Tooru and, without a word, graciously cleaned the invisible girl's face. With her tongue. Then came the quick, but fierce kiss the mute girl planted on Tooru's lips much to her surprise and everyone else's viewing delight.
Tooru was left stunned looking up at the girl, taking in her burgundy colored hair and how she had styled it for once instead of having it in her usually messy pixie cut. It was still messy as hell but more refined than usual. And, of course, like the other girls, she'd taken a chance at wearing eyeliner and eyeshadow as well. It made her silver grey eyes more smokey and almost transparent in a way which made her pupils stand out in stark contrast. It was only when she noticed the piercing in the girl's brow move that she realized she'd been staring a lot longer than she had meant to and quickly cleared her throat and brought herself back to reality. The effect had made Suri snicker and grin even wider than she already had been. Mostly because Suri really loved that breathless look on her girlfriend which was easy to see despite Tooru's ghostly, transparent appearance. So with that, she leaned over and cooed sweetly into Tooru's ear.
"Earth to Tooru~"
"Mhmm! I-I'm… p-pretty um… Pretty girl. I mean!"
The girls began laughing again and Tooru shied away with embarrassment, hardly helping the urge to laugh at herself. As she giggled, she felt Mai's hand squeeze her own and the two made eye contact and smiled at each other before the mute girl went back to her seat on the other side of Mina. Then Tooru got to watch as Mai looked at Mina and they fist bumped, like the two of them had accomplished a task. Then Tooru remembered who her girlfriend was and sighed happily, knowing that it had probably been Mina's idea so Tooru and Mai could break the ice.
Mission accomplished.
While they laughed, the chef dished up the food as he finished each meal. When he reached the end, finishing with Yumei's dish, he got to chuckle and laugh for himself as he watched the snake girl's reaction to getting her food. He'd agreed to a simple request of hers when he made her stir fry, plopping four eggs onto the grill, frying them, and laying them over top of her barbecued chicken, rice, grilled vegetables, and yakisoba noodles. She did one of those high pitched squeals of extreme delight accompanied by rapid clapping, realized everyone was still around her and shrunk down in embarrassment while her scales flushed to a shade of crimson the entire length of her body.
"S-Sorry. I umm… I, like, really love eggs. I-I… ya know," she briefly gestured to herself and gave everyone a weak smile. "Snake and all."
"Actually that makes so much sense," Ryuko snickered and shrugged before letting her grin widen at the snake girl. "Besides, it's not like we give Suri, Aiko, and Mai a hard time for the ridiculous amounts of meat they got with their food."
That comment made the three wereanimals freeze in various stages of beginning to pick at their food. Suri was the worst off of the three girls mentioned with everyone turning to look at her as she had a few large pieces of cooked meat unceremoniously hanging from her mouth. With everyone staring at her and beginning to snicker, Suri quickly used her chopsticks to shove the rest of it into her mouth and scarf it down. The fact that she had to down half of her drink to be able to swallow what she'd eaten only made the girls laugh even more.
"Hey now. Let's be honest, this isn't the most meat I've ever ordered before. And that's definitely not the most eggs I've ever seen YuYu order before," Suri defended herself and shot a smirk at Yumei. The snake girl had a look of worried anticipation on her face.
"Don't you dare," Yumei hissed.
"Okay, now I gotta know," Mina grinned wide, leaning over her plate and shooting the snake girl an excited look.
Suri grinned wide and looked back and forth between Mina and Yumei before puffing her cheeks and holding her hands up to give the illusion that her cheeks were even wider. She then giggled as she made muffled noises of delight while looking at Yumei who scowled and hissed at her. The girls began giggling from the display, which only grew louder when the snake girl went to defend herself.
"It wasn't that bad," she rolled her eyes.
"Babe, you literally ate an entire carton of eggs," Suri deadpanned.
The table went silent for a moment while everyone's eyes went wide and they all turned slowly to look at Yumei in astonishment. With all eyes on her, she nervously looked away and blushed while pulling at the collar of her shirt with one hand and fanning herself like she was hot with the other. Of course everyone, including Yumei knew the display wasn't denying anything and was a very poor excuse for a bluff. If anything, it just incriminated her even more.
"Ugh! Okay, fine, I ate a dozen eggs in one sitting. I know that's, like, probably gross to all of you, isn't it?" she finally sighed and whined in defeat.
"If it makes you feel any better, I've downed an entire chocolate cake to myself," Tooru spoke up, nervously admitting her own secret.
"Eh, I've done a box of donuts before," Mina shrugged and grinned.
"T-Two entire extra large meat lovers pizzas to myself," Aiko snickered and admitted shyly.
"I've had two boxes of sugar cookies to myself in one go before," Ryuko shrugged with a grin of her own.
Mai made a light giggling sound before humphing to get everyone's attention. Her hands and fingers began to move, making Suri realize she was signing, something that everyone at the table at least knew a couple things about and was able to pick up her story. The story made Suri's and Aiko's eyes go wide because she'd said she wasn't in beast form to accomplish the task she was talking about. But moreover…
"Where the fuck did you find a moose? In Japan?!"
The girls remained near silent as Mai went on to tell everyone about the time she ate an entire moose to herself. The animal had been hunted in Canada when several older members of her and Pazuzu's old pack visited another werewolf pack. It had been a once in a lifetime hunt for her parents who'd gotten the chance to go and they'd brought the animal back to be harvested for the entire family. Mai had found it in the freezer and ate the entire stash in a single day. Her parents were not happy with her to say the least.
Once the group had finished their dinner and paid the bill they started off towards their next activity for the big group date. A karaoke night just for the girls. It had been the same karaoke bar that they'd gone to with Izuku on his and Yumei's first date. The bar had become something of a special place for Suri and the girls and they were more than willing to introduce Ryuko, Aiko, and Mai to it. The fact that Mai was mute and probably wouldn't be able to take a turn to sing herself was a little ironic. The fact that she herself said she could probably lip sync to the music and then realized the tracks were entirely instrumental made everyone laugh.
"Hey, Ryuko," Mina said during the lull in laughter, watching the goth girl with intrigue. "How have I never noticed just how much jewelry you wear? Or is this more than normal?"
"Oh this is more than normal," Ryuko chuckled, walking backwards so that Mina and the others could get a better look at everything she was wearing. "I don't usually wear this much on campus cause it doesn't really mesh with the uniforms but since I got to get all dolled up for you girls. I decided to go all out."
"Well you look gorgeous," Yumei smiled and nodded towards her.
"Thank you, darling. You look hot as fuck yourself," Ryuko grinned and wiggled her eyebrows at the snake girl in return. It occurred to everyone at that moment that the two girls were in very similar outfits.
Yumei's was the simpler of the two, mostly due to the nature of her body and the limitations it posed. Not that she didn't try her damnedest because Ryuko was right; she looked great. She'd dressed in a sleeveless black button down shirt. It showed off her toned arms nicely and showed the progress she'd made training with DreamWeaver, Rook, and Hellfire. She had been slightly toned when Suri first met her at the USJ, now she had a small layer of muscle all over her body and it looked gorgeous on her. To accentuate the muscle she'd put on, she had the bottom of the button down tied above her stomach. Speaking of which, even more attention was drawn there thanks to the small gold dangle that hung from her navel. Sitting low on her waist was a red, black, and gold plaid skirt that buttoned down the side of her hip. The final touches to her outfit was the extra jewelry that was custom made for the flares of her cobra hood, lining the rigid scaled flesh with gold and black cusp like bands. The cusps served as earrings since her natural ones couldn't be jeweled and decorated like the other girls around her and added more color to her naturally snow white and soft pink scaled form.
Ryuko's outfit consisted of a black button down that had green stitching around the hems and an all green collar. It was a tighter shirt so it hugged her form tight and was unbuttoned enough that it showed off a great amount of cleavage for her. A pair of black short shorts rode low on her waist and showed off quite a bit of her thighs before her legs disappeared into a pair of black knee high socks. Tonight she was slightly taller than Suri thanks to black leather combat boots she was wearing which added a good two inches to her height. Outside of clothing, she jingled with every step because of the belly button ring that had small chains that hung down the front of her stomach and looped back up to the belt loops on the side of her hips. Then there was the black choker she was wearing around her neck that was a blatant cat collar complete with a small silver bell. It also wasn't lost on anyone that the belt around her shorts was, in fact, a leash that matched said collar. The rest of her jewelry included a pair of lip rings on her bottom lip, a small stud in her nose, rings in each of her brows, industrial barbells in the bells of her ears, large black plugs in her earlobes, a pentagram necklace, a second necklace with a large blue rough cut gem, and a slew of rings on her fingers. On closer inspection, Suri realized the designs on Ryuko's gauges were runes and casting circles. It made her also realize that some of the rings the witch was wearing probably had runes and symbols etched into the bands. And that wasn't taking into account the small flask dangling from the front belt loop of her shorts which had a triple mood emblazoned on the front of it.
It made Suri want to ask Ryuko about it.
Before she could do so however, a rush of cold swept through the street and knocked all of them back a step. The frigid cold made them clench their eyes shut and their teeth together as they were hit with a wash of blistering wind. When Suri opened her eyes she realized that the street had been emptier than usual and felt isolated. She had to try and think back to remember if this part of downtown had always been this quiet. It had been, but it hadn't been cold like this. And the icy cold weight of power that began to press down on them made her realize why this time was different.
"Suri," Mina asked, her voice thick with worry and anticipation.
She realized why as her peripherals caught sight and her nose caught the scent of more than a dozen people surrounding them in a near instant. The individuals didn't seem like much of a threat by themselves, though the levels of vampiric power coming from a couple of them would suggest otherwise. It was the thirteenth presence that made Suri nervous for the safety of the girls behind her and let a low, rumbling growl fill her throat.
"Don't make eye contact with any of them and be extremely careful," Suri said in a low, cautious voice as her eyes went from one vampire to another. Her scent led her to a figure walking through the shadows directly towards them. "You! State your business and then kindly get the fuck out of our way."
"Father said you were a brash woman, but I didn't expect this," the figure chuckled as he got closer to them.
"If I'm too much for you then take your happy ass home and let me get back to my date. Deal?" Suri scoffed and stiffened her shoulders.
The rage from having yet another date of hers interrupted by vampires didn't boil to the surface of her skin; it poured from her. The hot heat of power and energy surrounded her and the girls and pushed back some of the vampires that had gotten too close to the group. Any cold that the group had felt before was replaced with warm electric wind that made them feel warm, cozy, and ready to fight.
"No. No deal," he replied, shaking his head as he finally stepped into the light where everyone could see him. His complexion was dark, similar to Suri's but had a pale undertone like he'd never seen sunlight a day in his life. The contrasting paleness to what would be a dark bronze color of his skin made the silver white of his hair more prominent. His hair was fashioned into a high top style where his thick curls blossomed upwards and floated above his head while his roots and the sides and back of his head were neatly trimmed and shaved down. It was neat and sophisticated just like his tone of voice which clearly said he thought himself better than everyone around him. "In fact, my dear, I've come to claim just that."
"You heard our queen," Aiko snarled in a doubled voice. The sound made Suri watch her from the corner of her eye and see that she'd gone into her first stage transformation where her eyes now had black sclera, ears tapered, claws and fangs sharpened, and a prominent leopard tail was now swaying behind her. "There's nothing to claim here, so go away."
"On the contrary, little cat," he grinned, trying to catch her eyes in his. "On my count there are seven of you to claim but I would only be satisfied with the one I desire most. The one that's been promised to me."
"Promised to you?" Suri snorted. "None of us have promised you a thing, dude."
"You have not yet, sure. But you will," he said, sounding overly sure of himself.
"And what makes you so sure of that?" Mina scoffed, her brows narrowed tightly as she watched the vampire in front of them. "Who are you anyway?"
"Ah! My apologies," the vampire laughed before gracefully curtseying. He then however, disappeared into the darkness in a wisp of black smoke only to reappear directly in front of the girls. His speed and nonexistent movements caught Suri off guard and she found him directly in front of her. And that's when he caught her gaze. "My name is De'Jon. The next Master of Chubu and Shikoku, and, most importantly, your husband."
